Here are some headlines to go with your huevos rancheros...

BREAKING NEWS: The Lone Gunmen will appear in "The X-Files" revival that begins airing January 24th, 2016. Dean Haglund initially confirmed himself that he, Tom Braidwood, and Bruce Hardwood would return at an event for Televised Revolution and then on his personal Twitter account (@dhaglund). They are confirmed to be in episode four, entitled "Babylon." Chris Carter previously said during his appearance at NIFFF that we'll see them in a way "never seen before."

Well, the time has come. The third and final Lone Gunmen episode of "The X-Files," the wonderfully titled "Jump the Shark," airs tonight. It's a bittersweat time, however. While the episode reunites the cast of "The Lone Gunmen" show and though it ties up the loose ends from that series (in other words, gives us what we've been waiting for), it is also the Lone Gunmen's last hurrah. We'll see them again in the series finale for "The X-Files," but this is their swan song, Gunfen. Brace yourselves. No matter what the final outcome may be, we all know it's going to one hell of a last adventure for our boys.

The official site for "The X-Files" posted "Jump the Shark" pics you can find here and a script bite you can find on the main page. It's a nice tribute to Joey Ramone. I hated not getting to see Langly mention that on their show.

Thanks to Megan's Roadrunners, we have a trascribed article on "Jump the Shark." However, it contains MAJOR spoilers. Unless you want to know the ending, do NOT read. Wait until after the episode airs. You can find that here. There's also another one, thanks to the Stephen Snedden archives, where Stephen and Zuleikha discuss their thoughts on "Jump the Shark." You can find that here. The same spoiler warning applies.

"The X-Files" OS updated their amazing scrapbook with interviews with Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, Bruce Harwood, and Michael McKean, which is here and a nice bit of fan art here.

In the latest issue of SCIFI magazine under "TV in Focus" which included some quotes from Frank Spotnitz regarding the remaining episodes of the "The X-Files"... "Lone Gunmen fans will get some resolution too. There's an episode called "Jump the Shark" and that's kind of the farewell for The Lone Gunmen. *They'll be back for the finale*, but this is their big last hurrah. And it works on two levels. It's a great episode for the show, but it's also a finale for the few brave souls who actually saw 'The Lone Gunmen' TV series." Courtesy of the Haven, I have some spoilers on this subject. Please skip below if you do not want to read:

From TV Tome: "Apparently the Gunmen will be shooting a new scene or two for the X Files finale episodes. From what I hear, it will be a scene of the Gunmen in the desert. I have no news whatsoever as to whether our boys will be Live or Memorex."

Adding on from an anon source: At least one of the boys is "live," not "Memorex." The *assumption* is they are all alive.

Hi, everyone. While I'm pretty sure no one comes here anymore, I felt like I needed to make this update anyway. Go fig. Anyway, the wonderful folks at 1013 have decided to give us what we've all been waiting for: resolution. From "The X-Files" Official Site:

"Wondering what happened after the final episode of The Lone Gunmen series? Answers are coming in 9X15. When Morris Fletcher returns to haunt the Gunmen, the three amigos go searching for Yves Harlow’s hidden background - with a little help from their old pal, Jimmy. Vince Gilligan, John Shiban and Frank Spotnitz join forces on the script for "Jump the Shark," directed by Cliff Bole. Michael McKean, Zuleikha Robinson and Stephen Snedden (and Jim Fyfe!) all guest star in the show that airs in April." Pictures from the set you can find here and here

What great news! I thought it was cool when Langly had a blue face in the season nine premiere episode, but this - I didn't expect this. And for a special treat, I have a few spoilers courtesy of the Haven:

Yves: There must be a back-up - it's basic Terrorism 101.

Jimmy: What do we do?

Yves: I don't know. But I do know that someone is out there. Someone is carrying this virus to a designated target. And we have three hours to find out who and where. (Our boys are fighting terrorism to boot!)

"There's also a character named 'John Gillnitz' in this episode. (Yeah, why am I not surprised? ) Doggett and Reyes have to question Gillnitz regarding the attack on Professor Houghton. They are investigating whether or not Yves was involved in the attack on the Professor who was a prominent immunologist researching how shark cartilage could assist in combating cancer and other disease."

On the subject of in-jokes, the title "Jump the Shark" is a term that is used to signify when a show goes bad (you can find out more about it here). Clearly, 1013 is taking some shots at all those "X-Files" and "Lone Gunmen" bashers in the last couple of years. Good for them!

Finally, you can find a MAJOR spoiler at Ain't It Cool News. Please do not read this if you do no want to be completely spoiled, and believe me... this goes beyond any normal episode spoiler. And, it has been confirmed, at least within the context of the episode. You've been warned, Gunfen.

Here's a nice quote on "Jump The Shark" in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (the one with the Osbournes on the cover):

"No, Duchovny's not back quite yet, but the Lone Gunmen are, and that's not too shabby a consolation prize."
