Sunday was a beautiful day and it started off with a new addition to Mayberry Days. LeRoy 'Mack' McNees and his lovely wife Jan led the services at the Mayberry Days Chapel in the Amphitheater. I guess there were 50 or so folks there and everyone received a blessing.

Mack led the group in a few songs and gave his personal testimony.

Jan told a lovely story of hope and the power of prayer

Michael Hoover sang "Closer Walk With Thee"

David Browning gave a very dramatic reading of the scriptures, the Parable of the Prodigal Son

We were proud to see this added to Mayberry Days and hope it will be an annual event.

We then went to the Golden Corral for our annual going-away breakfast. Several folks had to get an early start home so they missed the Chapel and went on to eat. We had a chance to say good-bye to some of them as they were leaving the restaurant when we were getting there.

It does my heart good to see a thin person eat

No yellin' at the table. It'll take a while but I'll learn 'em

How about yourself? That's a pretty good bay window you've got

Another great weekend with our friends. Mayberry Days is wonderful and they keep adding new things to make it even better but it's still the time we spend with our friends that make the trip so special for us.

See y'all next year!
