An Alternate Version to Mewtwo
Strikes Back
We all know the real story of Mewtwo. But what if during his rein on New Island, Mewtwo found an equal. Someone not human, and not Pokemon. Someone who had been in the same situation as him. This is what might have happened…
"You can’t control! I am not a Pokemon!"
"But you are not human either, and you owe me. I saved your worthless life. You will do as I say for now." Giovani left his new ‘toy’ to think about what he had said. She looked human, except for her tail, so she would be allowed to walk through town. But when she was called to battle, she would have to obey his every command.
"Damn him." Kari had crashed on this ball of dirt , called Earth, almost dead, only to be saved by some weakling human who now controlled. What would her father say? She would pay her debt and leave. She decided to go to town since Giovani had been called to an emergency at New Island. This left those two idiots Jesse and James from Team Rocket in charge, and she’d been damned if she was going to take orders from them. Kari was walking past the Pokemon Center when a boy ran up to her. He was followed by a young girl and another boy with a Pikachu on his shoulder.
"Excuse me miss…but can I have your phone number?"
"BROCK! Sorry he always gets like this around pretty girls." Kari blushed at this statement. She had never been considered pretty, except by the Prince back on Vegetasei.
"Can you tell us where the Pokemon Gym is?" the girl asked.
"Sure. In fact I’m going there myself, so I can take you."
"Thanks. By the way I’m Ash."
"I’m Misty, this here’s Togepie" she said holding up a baby Pokemon.
"And…I’m Brock" this boy was cute…for a human.
"My name’s Kari. Follow me" Kari lead them to the gym.
"So Kari…why are you going to the gym?" Ash asked her. He was obviously a very talented Pokemon Trainer, he had seven badges already.
"I live there with my…uh…father." she couldn’t tell him the real reason.
"Is your father the gym trainer?" Misty asked. Kari didn’t answer. They were now standing in front of the gym. Gary Oak was waiting to be admitted.
"Well, well, well. If it isn’t Ashy boy. Hey who’s the cute girl?" No one said anything. When the doors opened to let Gary in Kari excused herself from Ash’s company and ran ahead of Gary.
"Looks like I’ve got another girl for my cheering squad" he yelled over his shoulder as the door closed.

Inside Jesse and James were trying to pick a Pokemon to fight Gary’s Nidoking.
"James, let’s use…"
"I’ll fight him!" a voice from the stadium called.
"And who are you?" James called down.
"I am…a Pokemon of Giovani’s."
"Fine you can fight." Meouth said. They all gasped as Kari walked out into the arena.
"A human can’t fight a Pokemon Battle!" Gary yelled.
"Who says I’m human?" she sneered, a smirk only a Saiyan wore.
"Fine then, Nidoking…tackle!" the Nidioking charged forward towards Kari. Kari made a triangle with her hands,
"SPIRAL FLAME!" the Nidoking was sent flying backwards. Gary instantly released all of his Pokemon: a Dugtrio, a Charmander, A Vineosaur, and a Ratattata.
"Charge…all at once!" Gary was infuriated by this. Kari this time held up one hand, a red dot appeared on her finger, all the Pokemon stopped at this sight. But Kari continued her attack, all of Gary’s Pokemon were defeated. Then she somehow put Gary and his ‘fans’ to sleep.
"Oh wow, did you see that?" Jesse asked.
"Wow what a super Pokemon!" James replied. Never had they seen a Pokemon like this.

Outside Ash, Misty, and Brock were waiting to be let in. When the doors opened Gary did not come out. Ash and his group ran into the Gym, only to find Gary and the girls asleep.
"Gary…Gary are you okay?" Ash asked his rival.
"Ash you won’t be able to get a trainer badge from here. That Pokemon is pure evil."
"An evil Pokemon?" Just then…
"PREPARE FOR TROUBLE!"
"AND MAKE IT DOUBEL!"
"TO PROTECT THE WORLD FROM DEVISTATION!"
"TO UNITE ALL PEOPLE WITHIN OUR NATION!"
"TO DENOUNCE THE EVILS OF TRUTH AND LOVE!"
"TO EXTEND OUR REACHE TO THE STARS
ABOVE!"
"JESSE!"
"JAMES!"
"TEAM ROCKET BLAST OFF AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT!"
"SURRENDER NOW OR PREPARE TO FIGHT!"
"Meouth that’s right."
"Ah…it’s Team Rocket, what are you guys doing here?" Ash asked.
"What a rude boy. We’re the gym trainers here." They showed there gym leader badges.
"Fine then I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle!"
"Oooo. the little bou challenged us," James teased.
"How amusing" Jesse said.
"Ash be careful…we don’t know what kind of tricks they’ll pull." Misty said.
"Don’t insult us you little…"
"Hey Jesse, I’ve got an idea. Let the twerp win the first round, then use that weird girl."
"Meouth that’s a brilliant idea. I chose you…Joltien!"
"Joltien…an electric type. Bulbasaur go!"
"Joltien you know the plan, charge it"
"Bulbasaur…razor leaf!"
"Ha! That won’t work against Joltien little boy!"
"Err. Bulbasaur…leach seed. NOW!" Bulbasaur jumped into the air and one of its leach seeds popped out of the bulb on its back and entangled Joltien.
"Joltien return!" Jesse called back the defeated Pokemon.
"HA! Now your in trouble."
"Presenting the star of the Team Rocker Gym…" Jesse started.
"The cutest of all…" James said.
"The purr in purfect…" Meouth purred.
"Kari!" they all said in unison. Kari appeared at a door, she was wearing her battling outfit that Giovani had given her. It showed off more of her body then she was used to, but she didn’t usually parade around in a short skirt and belly tank top.
"Kari!" Ash, Misty, and Brock were all startled by her appearance in the areana.
"Do your stuff!" Jesse ordered. But Kari glared at her.
"Ash…I don’t want to fight you…but I don’t have a choice." Pikachu tugged at Ash’s pants.
"You want to fight her Pikachu?" Ash asked.
"Chu!"
"Okay I chose Pikachu!"
"Fine. I don’t want to do this but…"
"Pikachu agility!" Pikachu charged at Kari, "now Thunder Shock!" Kari put up one hand and the attack didn’t even touch her. Kari put up with the attacks. She would let Ash win. She did not want to hurt Pikachu either.
"What’s she doing? When I fought her, she was ruthless." Gary stated. When Kari was battered and bruised, and had had enough, she forfeited the match, even though this would make her debt to Giovani longer than it already was.
"Ash here’s your badge…" Kari could barely stand on her own two legs.
"Come with us Kari." Misty offered.
"I can’t…I have a debt to repay." Ash, Misty, and Brock said their good-byes as Kari headed to a regeneration tank.
Later…
"So…who’s this?" Kari knew Giovani was mad that she had lost a battle, but she also knew he blamed it on Jesse and James.
"This is Mewtwo, the world’s strongest Pokemon."
"Hmph…" This meant that she wouldn’t be fighting as much, and that meant that it would take her longer to repay her debt to Giovani. She walked out of the room.
~ She does not wish my presence here. Why is that? ~ the super Pokemon asked his ‘partner’ telepathically.
"She owes be a debt. She pays it off by fighting for me."

In the days to follow Mewtwo did most of the fighting. He helped capture many Pokemon for Team Rocket. He was recharging in a special room Giovano’s technicians had created for him, when Kari walked in.
"It seems we are in the same boat. Giovani controls us more than we realize." Kari said quietly to herself.
"What are you doing down here? How did you get accses? Computer…" Giovani didn’t want Kari near Mewtwo. The computer activated and Kari was blasted into the wall.
~ Why do you attack her? ~
"She is of no use to me now that I have you to fight for me."
~ What do you mean? You said we were partners ~
" Hah…partners. You were created by humans to obey humans."
~ I was not born a Pokemon! ~ Mewtwo suddenly powered up.
"Stop it! What are you doing!" Giovani ran from the building. Before Mewtwo destroyed it however, he picked up the unconscious Kari, who lay crumpled against the wall. He took off after he destroyed the building and headed back to New Island. When he landed he placed Kari on the ground. He then saw the picture of the rare Pokemon Mew.
~ I was created more powerful than they ever dreamed, I am stronger than ever Mew ~

Several months Later…
Ash, Misty, and Brock taking a break from their adventures and are waiting for lunch.
"Oh, I’m so hungry" Ash complained.
"Ash, you haven’t done a thing all day!" Misty retorted.
"But I haven’t eaten since breakfast."
"Then you’ll really enjoy my lazy boy no chew stew" Brock said as he bent over a cooking pot. Just then another trainer walked over a nearby hill.
"Hey I’m looking for a Pokemon Trainer by the name of Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town. So you know him?"
"Of course I know him, I’m Ash."
"Then I challenge you to a Pokemon battle!" Ash quickly jumped up.
"Yah, I accept your challenge!"
"But Ash…I thought you were too tired to work." Misty said.
"But a Pokemon battle isn’t work" Ash said. The trainer threw his Pokeball and out came Donfan. Ash also threw a Pokeball.
"I chose you…Bulbasaur!" At first it looked like Bulbasaur would be no match for Donfan, but with a powerful blast from his Solar Beam, Bulbasaur won the match. The trainer chose a Machamp next, and Ash close his Squirtle. With a Bubble Blast from Squirtle, Machamp was defeated. The trainer being enraged threw out the remainder of his Pokemon; a Venomoth, a Golem, and a Pinser. Immediately Pikachu jumped off of his master’s shoulder and did a Thunder Shock, defeating all three of the opposing Pokemon. With that victory under his belt, Ash sat down for lunch. Little did they know far above them, a Fearow was spying on them. And even closer to them was Team Rocket.
"There’s another credit on Pikachu’s charge account." James said.
"I’m so hungry!" Meouth complained.
"We’re supposed to be capturing rare Pokemon for the boss!"
"Yah…but right now,’ I’d settle for some of that Pika Chow." James said.
"I could make us something." Jesse said holding up her frying pan.
"No thanks. The last time you cooked, you wiped out eight of my nine lives." They all sighed in unison.

On New Island…
"Shall I extend an invitation to these trainers?…as you wish." The woman left her masters’ presence. A woman with a short skirt and a jacket on was standing by a computer. The tip of her tail twitched.
"All of the trainers will be at Old Port within the hour."
~ Good, then our plan will have started ~

"Where did this storm come from!" Ash yelled over the sound of the wind.
"Hurry…over there!" Brock yelled as they ran towards the harbor.
"Oh, Togepie’s soaked." Misty said when they got inside. Ash noticed all the other trainers heading for New Island. Then there was an announcement over the P.A.
*Officer Jenny to the docks please, Officer Jenny to the docks* A big crowd had gathered by the doors, Ash and Pikachu gradually made their way to the front of the crowd.
"What do you mean the ferry’s been cancelled?"
"Everyone…listen to the Harbor Master!" Officer Jenny yelled.
"Listen everyone. For years I have hoped that humans and Pokemon would never have to face this storm again" the Harbor Master started.
"But isn’t that just a legand?" Officer Jenny asked.
"It is written that long ago a terrible storm, like this one, killed humans and Pokemon alike. After the storm the remaining Pokemon mourned over the lost, their tears somehow revived the ones lost in the storm. But there are no Pokemon tears today, only waves that will be savage".
"I’ll just use my Pokemon to get across, all mine are water types" a bold trainer said.
"You’ll do no such thing. If you tried a stunt like that, and your Pokemon got hurt, you’d be out of luck because we had to close down the Pokemon Center." Officer Jenny said, annoyed at the boys statement.
"Excuse me…why is that?" Ash asked her.
"Huh? The nurse who ran the center disappeared a month ago. And if any of you see her, please contact me at once." Officer Jenny answered. Three of the trainers ran out onto the docks and called forth their Pokemon. They all rode over to New Island on a Pidgeot, a Gyarados, and a dugong.
"Stop! Come back here or I’ll arrest you!" Officer Jenny yelled over the howling winds.
"Some trainers have no fear" the Harbor Master stated.
"Huh?"
"that’s what sets them apart. To them this is one more challenge. That is what will make them all Pokemon masters. Good luck to you all." She stared off in the direction the three trainers had gone. While on another Brock Ash, Brock, and Misty were standing.
"The world’s greatest Pokemon Master is waiting for me. Come on…let’s use our Pokemon!"
"Ash…our Pokemon aren’t strong enough!" Misty yelled.
"I suppose you’re right." Ash sighed. Just then a rickety old boat pulled up.
"You want to go to New Island, Ya? We vill take ya, no?" the Viking said.

"So far only three trainers have made it through the storm." Kari said.
~ We will wait another two hours before we begin ~ Mewtwo said.
"Very well."
***
"Don’t a’ worry. This ship vill not let ya down." The Viking said.
"Tell that to my stomach." Meouth said to himself. Just then a huge waved towered over the boat. They all screamed. When they were out of the wave they saw the Viking’s had been Team Rocket.
"I knew something smelled fishy, besides them!" Brock said.
"Ha. Prepare for trouble."
"And make it double."
"Forget the motto…we’re sinking." Then another wave capsized the boat. Misty instantly released Staryu from its Pokeball and swam to the surface.
"Ash! Misty!" Brock yelled before being pulled under. He surfaced again hanging onto Staryu.
"Have you seen Ash and Pikachu?" Misty asked.
"Not yet!" they were once again pulled under. This time Misty saw Ash and Pikachu riding Squirtle. As grabbed Misty’s hand as they surfaced again.
"Try to stay together!" Ash yelled. When they went under again, Staryu and Squirtle swam under the waves until their masters’ had to go up for air. When they surfaced the water was calm, they were in the eye of the storm. In front of them was a huge castle. New Island. They drifted into a cave, where they were greeted by a woman.
"Please present your invitation" she said. Ash showed her the card, that automatically activated.
*The bearers of this card are admitted to New Island*
"Follow me" She lead them up a set of stairs, oblivious to Team Rocket who had drifted to shore. They entered a large room.
"Now that you are here, all trainers worthy of a meeting with my masters are present."
"But there’s only three of them" Ash said.
"Only trainers who could brave the storm have proven themselves worthy in my masters’ eyes." She said.
"So that storm was a test." Brock stated.
"Please release your Pokemon from their Pokeballs, and join the other. It will not be long before my masters’ intentions are clear." So they did. They got talking ith the other trainers. A door at one end of the room opened.
"Announcing the Mistress of this island." The woman servant said.
"go tell the master we are almost ready." The girl said.
"As you wish." She left the room.
"Ash?…Misty?…Brock?…Is it really you?" the figure stepped into plain view.
"Kari!" they all yelled in unison as they ran towards her, Misty gave her a big hug.
"I’ve missed you guys." Pikachu jumped on her shoulder.
"Pikachu kachu pi pi pikachu"
"What are you guys doing here?" Kari asked. She had been unaware that they had been invited.
"We were about to ask you the same question." Ash said. Just then the servant reappeared. The lights went out, all but a single blue beam that shone down the middle of a spiral staircase. A figure descended down the beam.
"The greatest Pokemon Master in the world, Mewtwo, is also the world’s strongest Pokemon." The servant said.
"A Pokemon can’t be a Pokemon master!" one of the trainers yelled.
~ Silence! I make the rules now human ~ using his psychic powers he sent the trainer into the fountain.
~ You are of no more use to me ~ he broke his link to the servant, who turned out to be Nurse Joy.
"Gyarados…Hyper Beam!" the wet trainer yelled. Kari stepped in front of the attack and sent it right back without any effort.
"Gyarados!" the trainer yelled as he ran towards his injured Pokemon.
"Kari what are you doing?" Ash asked.
"Mewtwo is my equal…only he will understand what I went through. Humans betrayed me and left me to die on this planet."
"What is she talking about…humans betrayed her?" the female trainer asked Misty.

"I wonder what’s in here." James said. They walked into a room with a big computer.
"I thought there was going to be a party." Jesse sat on a computer control panel. Instantly the computer turned on, Jesse jumped off and looked at the monitor.
*Pokemon duplication process activated* the electronic voice stated. Just then robotic arms grabbed Meouth.
"Jesse! James! Help me!" Jesse and James grabbed Meouth as he was being pulled into the machine. Suddenly Meouth was released, and Jesse, James, and Meouth went flying backwards.
"I made it…but just by a hair." Meouth held his tail.
"Look, there’s your hair." Jesse stated as she pointed to a projection screen.
*Pokemon identification*
"Who’s that Pokemon?" James asked.
"It’s Meouth!" they said in unison. Instantly a clone of Meouth came down and floated in a tube. Beside the Meouth clone were a Charizard, Blastoise, and a Venosaur.

"You will never know the pain I have suffered! All of my friends betrayed me, they let Giovani attack me! I am not, and will never again be a slave to humans!" Kari yelled as she powered up, ready to attack, but Mewtwo stopped her.
"You’re lucky." She powered down. She would never hurt Misty, Ash, or Brock, but the trainer with the Pidgeot was treating her as if she were a Pokemon. And that pissed her off.
~ They will soon meet their fate, save your strength ~ Mewtwo said, he admired her will to fight, for he too knew of betrayal from humans.
"If you are a Pokemon, there’s no reason why I can’t catch you!" the trainer with the Pidgeot yelled.
"Go Rhyhorn!" Mewtwo just held up his hand, sending the Pokemon over the table.
"If you really are the world’s strongest Pokemon…you won’t mind proving it in a Pokemon Battle!" Ash yelled.
~ Is that a challenge? ~ Mewtwo waved his hand and the wall behind him disappeared.
"A stadium!" Brock said surprised, "this was all planed!"
"Of course it was" Kari said.

Jesse and James watched the computer monitor.
*Giovani wanted us to crest the world’s strongest Pokemon. But its anger is uncontrollable, he’s destroying our lab! I pray this transmission survives. We hoped to create the world’s strongest Pokemon…and we succeeded* the transmission ended.
"This must be the lab. But if Mewtwo destroyed it…" Jesse said looking around.
"Someone rebuilt it." James finished.

The group of trainers stood in Mewtwo’s stadium. Three Pokemon approached Kari and Mewtwo. They were the clones of Charizard, Blastoise, and Venosaur.
~ Like all Pokemon Trainers, I too started with Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur, but I started with their evolved forms ~
"Your clone can’t beat my real Blastoise, isn’t that right Shellshocker?"
"Your fake Venusaur can’t beat us…right Brootroot?"
"He may not have a nickname, but I still have…Charizard." Kari was fighting her emotions. She was caught in the middle. She didn’t want to hurt Ash, Misty, or Brock. But Mewtwo had saved her. Misty noticed that Kari was struggling with herself.
"Ash! Don’t do it! Those clones are way stronger!" Kari suddenly yelled as she ran between the trainers and Mewtwo, tears threatening to run down her face.
~ What are you doing? ~ Mewtwo ordered. He did not want to hurt her, but she had defied him.
"I realize now that what we’re doing is wrong! It wasn’t all humans who betrayed us. Only Giovani!" Kari had tears streaming down her face now.
~ We are the two strongest beings in the world. Now you defy me, so you will now share the same fate as them ~ Mewtwo threw a Pshy beam at Kari, who crossed her arms to block it, but she was sent flying into the wall.
"Kari!" Brock yelled. But Kari got up barely scratched. She levitated a few feet off of the floor, the trainers stared in awe.
"I will no fight you!" she yelled at Mewtwo. He just sent another Pshy beam at her. This time she made no attempt to block it.
"Kari No!" Brock yelled as the beam hit Kari, she fell to the ground. Brock ran to her aid but Mewtwo stopped him.
"Err…I don’t care if your clones are stronger! I still challenge you!" Ash yelled, enraged at Kari’s sacrifice.
" We all challenge you!" The trainers yelled. They had finally understood how hard it had been for her to challenge Mewtwo,
"I’ll go first…go Brootroot!" but the clone easily beat the real one.
"Brootroot!"
"Let’s go Shellshocker!" But the real Blastoise was easily defeated by its clone.
"Shellshocker!"
"Okay Charizard it’s out turn. Use your speed, not power and you can win!" Ash’s Charizard leapt into action. Charizard didn’t last very long before it too was defeated.
~ Pathetic. Now I will…~ Kari kicked Mewtwo in the side but he recovered. Kari was bleeding, badly, but she didn’t seem to notice, she was breathing hard.
~ You… ~ Mewtwo didn’t want to hurt her anymore, but she was invoking this battle. Mewtwo waved his hand and dark Poke balls captured all of the Pokemon, including Pikachu, but not with out Ash trying to save him. Ash followed the Poke ball that had Pikachu in it, down a dark chute.
"Ash! No!" Misty called.
"Mewtwo! I challenge you! One on one!" Kari called as she shrugged off Brock’s help.

"Who’s that Pokemon? It’s Alakazam, Dugong, Wigglytuff,…huh?" Team Rocket said. Ash fell onto the conveyor belt a little shaken.
"I don’t have time for your dumb motto today!" Ash said as he ran towards the machine. Team Rocket stared as sparks flew and the machine shut down. Ash stumbled out and when he fell he dropped the dark Poke ball and Pikachu cam out.
"Pikachu!"
"Ah! The clones are hatching!" Meouth yelled.
"But where are the real ones?" Ash asked. Just then the machine spewed out all of the Pokemon, and Ash was reunited wit Squirtle, and Bulbasaur.

Meanwhile…
~ You should give it up. You are weak, and will never defeat me ~ She offered no sign of giving up to him. Kari ran forward, Mewtwo was ready for a front attack, but not for what she did next. Kari moved so fast that the others couldn’t see her. She reappeared behind Mewtwo.
"I hate to do this but… Spiral Flame!" Kari caught him off guard and he went flying forward. Unscratched Mewtwo caught her in a Psychic attack. When she hit the wall, Mewtwo was already standing over her. He wrapped his tail tightly around her, making Kari cough. Before he could speak there was an explosion from the lab.
~ Now my super Pokemon will dominate! ~ he flung Kari towards where the Pokemon clones had come from. Just then Ash and all the real Pokemon emerged from the smoke. Ash knelt beside Kari, who was struggling to get up.
"No! They won’t! I won’t let you!? Ash said when he stood up, "You’re mine!"
"Ash don’t…" Kari gasped out. But Mewtwo trapped him in a Psychic attack and flung him towards a statue. Before he hit however, he landed on a bubble,
~ What? ~ just then Mew popped the bubble and Ash landed the statue. Mew started to play on his own bubble until Mewtwo shot an energy beam at it.
~ So…you really do exist. But there is only room on this planet for one of us! ~
"Mewtwo don’t!" Kari ran in front of Mewtwo’s beam. Mewtwo realized what he was doing and stopped his attack. Kari slumped forward, but Mewtwo caught her.
"Don’t you see…we’re acting…just like…" Kari fell into unconsciousness.
~ No! I did not want this to happen…not to you. I will avenge you ~ Mewtwo ordered his Super Pokemon to attack the original ones, while he fought Mew. Ash made his way down from the statue. When he saw the Pokemon fighting, he thought he would scream.
"Pokemon aren’t meant to fight…" Nurse Joy stated, "not like this. What can come out of it?"
"Nothing…but pain and suffering." The female trainer answered.
"This just proves that fighting is wrong." Misty said. Just then Ash fell from the statue.
"Ash!"
"Are you okay?"
"We’ve got to stop them!" Ash said.
"But how? They look like they’re willing to fight to the death." Brock said.
"That’s a fight no one’s going to win." Ash saw a new side to Misty just then.
"Someone’s got to take a stand. Say no to fighting…just like Pikachu." Ash said. Then he saw Kari lying in a heap on the floor.
"Kari…"
"We can’t get to her. We don’t know if she’s o…" Just then Kari stirred. She struggled to get up.
"She’s okay!" Misty said and hugged Ash. But quickly let go. Kari saw the Pokemon fighting each other.
"No…no…not like this." Kari whispered. Her blood had soaked her shirt and there was a puddle of her own blood on the floor around her. She was standing shocked at seeing her own blood on her hands, she became oblivious to what was going on around her. It wasn’t until she heard the yelling that she was pulled back to reality.
"Ash don’t!" Misty yelled.
"Stop now!" Ash yelled as he ran towards the two Pokemon who were in the process of their most powerful attacks. Kari ran towards Ash and put up a barrier between them and the attacks.
"Ash…get out of here! I’m too weak, I can’t hold this shield up for long!" Just then she felt herself collapse, "Ash I’m sorry…" was the last thing she said before she was blasted into a wall.
"Ash! Kari!" Brock yelled. Ash fell forward and turned to stone. Brock was holding a very badly injured Kari.
"Please…no." Misty whispered to herself, she loved him.
~ Fool…trying to stop our battle ~
"Mew, mew mew, mew, mew, mew mew mew." Pikachu ran over to his master. He tried desperately to revive his fallen master. He used his Thunder Shock. Alas…it didn’t work. Pikachu and all of the other Pokemon and clones started to cry. As prophesized, the tears of Pokemon revived the fallen, and Ash woke.
"Pikachu!" Ash walked over to where everyone was standing. Kari was lying still in Brock’s arms. She was bleeding badly.
"Kari…?" Ash asked.
"cough…Ash…you’re alright…" Kari coughed again. Tears formed on the brims of her eyes.
"I’m fine…thank you…"
"I’m so sorry Ash…I realized…to late…what I was…doing was…wrong. Brock…I need to tell you…I lo…’ her hand fell away from Brock’s face and fell to the floor.
~ No…~ Mewtwo and the Pokemon clones levitated off of the floor, ~ the only way I can save her, is to make sure this never happened. I will always remember what happened here, but perhaps it is better if you all forget ~ with that a white light appeared beneath the Pokemon and their trainers.

"Please listen all of you…you must find shelter! The Harbor Master says this could be the worst storm ever!" Officer Jenny said to the crowd before her.
"Attention everyone…the Pokemon Center will be open for shelter." Nurse Joy said.
"How’d we get here anyway?" Misty said.
"I guess we’re just here because we’re her." Ash said, not really answering her question.
"Ash! Misty! Brock! It is you!" A girl with long black hair ran across the room.
"Kari!" Misty hugged her. Kari also got hugs from ash and Brock.
"Long time no see. Huh? Whose this?" Brock asked her as a man a bit taller than Kari walked up behind her.
"This is my brother Goku. I finally found him." Kari smiled, "we were just passing through on our way home."
"Looks like the storms clearing up." Ash said. They all walked out onto the docks to look at the sky.
"We should get going." Goku said. He didn’t want to fly through another storm.
"Bye guys…it was nice to see you all again." Kari kissed Brock on the cheek.
"NIMBAS!" Goku called out. A cloud appeared in front of him. He helped Kari get up on the cloud. They took of into the sky.
"BYE!" she waved.
*And that’s my version of what might happen if Mewtwo ever met a Saiyan that was his equal*
