Dvd #1A 1/31-3/6/08 - first two hrs.

1/31 Sonny meets a mysterious dark-haired woman at the bar when he orders a drink. He tells the bartender he will pay for whatever the "lady" is having. She buys him a drink after he buys her a drink. She writes a note on a napkin and has the bartender deliver it to Sonny. Sonny reads the message that says, "I'm not a lady."

Sonny leaves the bar but comes back later and has the bartender hand her a message as well as a copy of his room key. The message says, "I'm not a gentleman." The woman talks on her cell phone to someone and says to have a car waiting for her out front. She goes to pay for her tab but the bartender tells her that Sonny took care of it for her. She shows up at Sonny's room. He tells her she is late and that he doesn't like to be kept waiting. The woman tells him she doesn't like a man to pay for things and puts a bill into his front pocket. Sonny grabs her and kisses her passionately after she tries to dismiss him. He grabs her and shuts his door.

2/1 Claudia comes out of the bathroom at the hotel. She's getting dressed to leave. Sonny asks her why she's leaving so soon. She tells him that it was just a night of passion and she doesn't need to stay any longer. They don't know each other's names and they don't need to. Sonny asks for a number in case he wants to get ahold of her again. She says they shouldn't be together. People like them ruin everything in their path.

2/4 At Anthony's bedside, Trevor and Johnny meet Claudia, the sexy woman from Milan with whom Sonny spent a torrid night, who is also Anthony's daughter and Johnny's half sister. Anthony wants to know why she is there and so does Johnny. She points them to Trevor, who makes it sound as though he asked her to come home because of Anthony's condition. Claudia is quick to let the men know that she is not the timid fearful mouse who was sent away to Milan. She is no longer frightened of either Trevor or Anthony.

As they continue to converse, Anthony tells them he is okay. Then he calls for his dead wife, Maria, and asks them all to leave. Trevor and Johnny do, but Claudia stays behind. Before he leaves, Claudia gives Johnny a sisterly hug and kiss, but he does not respond. When she is alone with Anthony, Claudia lets him know that she is still bitter about being sent away when she was 16. Anthony asks Claudia what she wants. "Everything," she tells him. "Good luck with that one," responds Anthony.

"I don't need luck, I learned a lot of things while I was gone," she says. With a heartfelt sincerity, Claudia tells Anthony that she loves him, but if he tries to stop her from getting what she wants, she will kill him.

Outside, Trevor waits for Claudia to emerge. When she does, he tries to take control, by questioning why she did not meet his driver at the hotel as arranged. Claudia responds firmly that where she goes is none of Trevor's business. "The faster you learn that the faster we'll get along. If we ever get along at all," says a confident Claudia as she walks away.

2/6 At the Zacchara stronghold, Johnny finds humor in the conflict brewing between Claudia and Trevor. Trevor tries to assert his authority, but Claudia puts him in his place. When Trevor exits the room, Claudia tries to repair her relationship with Johnny, who chastises her because she did not stay in touch with him after she left for Europe. She tells him that she loves him and that there is no real escape for them from their family and its obligations. "Love kills," she tells him.

When Claudia is alone in the office, Trevor comes in with a peace offering. He brings her a rose, as if that might manipulate her into doing what he wants. Claudia sees through him and, when he threatens her, she threatens him back. When she questions his relationship with Sonny, he backs down, and answers that it is "complicated." Claudia accepts his evasion, but tells him that she will not always do so. She lets him know in no uncertain terms that the family holds the power, and that while her father is institutionalized, she, not Trevor, will run the family. They need to shake up Sonny and the other families, she tells Trevor. He responds that he will think of something. "I already have," says a determined Claudia.

2/7 At the Zacchara estate, Johnny accuses Trevor of bringing his long-lost sister Claudia back to take over, so Trevor can control her better than he could Johnny. Trevor denies he has any hidden agenda where Claudia is concerned. Johnny is still suspicious of Trevor and wonders why Claudia would come back to town after being gone for years without a letter or phone call to him in all that time.

Claudia overhears their conversation and feels bad for Johnny and what he had to go through without her being around. Johnny finds her outside the office and realizes she heard everything. Claudia talks to Johnny about how she was sent away years ago and that she tried to say goodbye to him by giving him a toy piano but he smashed it to pieces and wouldn't say goodbye to her that day. Claudia talks to Trevor alone about the changes she plans to make now that she is in town and running the business. She demands that he set up a meeting with the five families. She tells Trevor that she especially wants to meet Sonny. Trevor is against the idea of her meeting the five families since they don't know she even exists. She tells him that it is about time she introduced herself. Trevor ends up agreeing to let her have the meeting but insists on being there with her to protect her.

2/8 Trevor calls Claudia (who is having drinks at the Metro Court bar) and tells her they need to talk and discuss a plan for the meeting with the five families. Claudia says she's already in Port Charles. She continues to talk on the phone as Carly and Jax enter the hotel bar. Trevor is horrified that Claudia intends on going to the meeting without a plan. She tells him just to introduce her, and she will wing the rest.

Carly walks over just as Claudia turns around with a drink in her hand. The drink ends up all over Carly, and both women apologize to each other. Carly thinks Claudia looks familiar, but Claudia says she gets that all the time. Carly introduces herself as one of the owners of the hotel, and Claudia compliments her on her obviously savvy business skills. The two women look at Jax and Kate sitting together discussing Kate’s new magazine. Carly tells Claudia that the man sitting over there is her husband. Claudia mentions that Kate looks familiar. Claudia and Carly talk about Kate's international magazine. Neither woman likes Kate Howard's sense of fashion and they seem to bond over this.

Sonny walks in and asks for a table. He looks around the room and doesn't look happy. Claudia excuses herself to the ladies room, and Sonny leaves after receiving a phone call from Max.

2/11 In a grungy room somewhere on the Port Charles waterfront, mob leaders attend a meeting called by the Zacchara Family. They expect Trevor's appearance but are stunned when Claudia walks in. She and Sonny are equally surprised to see each other. Both are still remembering the passionate night they spent together, but neither lets on about their previous acquaintance. She announces that she is Anthony's daughter.

Trevor arrives and Claudia makes sure that everyone knows that she, not Trevor, is in charge. As Claudia explains her family's move into Port Charles, one of the mobsters insults her brother and father. When Claudia grabs him by the tie, he attacks her. Sonny sits by with a sly smile on his face to see how she will handle the confrontation.

Claudia responds to the threat by kneeing the man in the groin. He goes down and she put her very high, red, spiked heel on his throat and tells him that he needs to learn how to treat a lady. All the goons rush in, but Sonny and the other bosses, including Claudia, send them away. She says, "What happens in this room stays in this room." They all agree. They further agree that they all want the waterfront property that previously belonged to Lorenzo Alcazar. They will meet again when one of them acquires the property. Claudia leaves first, followed by the other bosses.

Sonny receives a call from Claudia. She tells Sonny that just because they slept together does not mean that she will not kill him if he gets in her way. Sonny agrees that he feels exactly the same way she does. "Good," she says. Before hanging up Claudia gets in the last word. "Doesn't mean I won't sleep with you again, either," she says. Sonny is left staring at the phone.

2/13 At the Zacchara estate, Claudia castigates Vaughn for his failures, before sending him on an errand. Trevor springs to Vaughn's defense, pointing out his loyalty. "Loyalty to who?" snarls Claudia. "The Zacchara family empire," retorts Trevor. "You mean the Trevor Lansing Living Trust," coos Claudia. Trevor then asks Claudia if she is really upset because the meeting with the five families did not go as well as expected. Claudia responds that she is just trying to get information on Sonny. A snide Trevor asks if it's business or personal, and points out the sexual sizzle he noticed between Claudia and Sonny at the meeting.

When Claudia makes a joke about Trevor's sexual opportunities, he toughens up and tells her that he does not confuse sexual satisfaction with business. Trevor sneers and says if Claudia wants to run the family empire, she will have to stop treating the meetings as a personal pick-up place. Claudia stiffens her spine and puts Trevor on notice. She is the one who cleaned up the mess in Sydney and got the organization back on track, not Uncle Rudy like everyone thinks. Unlike Trevor, she is not content to stay in the background. She will run the organization. Trevor tries to shake her confidence by bringing up Anthony, but Claudia is convinced that she can understand her father's crazy mind. As she stalks out of the study, Trevor allows a smug smile to show.

Claudia drops in at Jake's bar. Coleman asks what she is looking for. "Trouble," she says. Behind her, Luke replies, "I can arrange that." She offers cash for information. Luke is interested when she produces a large wad of cash and drops it on a table, but when it turns out that she is looking for info on Sonny, he speaks in generalities. He warns her not to hurt Sonny's family.

"A house will fall on you out of nowhere," Luke says, "and your little red shoes, too." Claudia is not impressed and refuses to pay Luke. She goes to the ladies' room. Luke asks Coleman for a job. Coleman has a big laugh and refuses him. "Oh hell," says Luke as he leaves the bar, "No broad, no booze, no bread."

Claudia is playing pool when Jason walks in to ask after Spinelli. When Jason rests his back against a wall, she speaks to him. "Are you interested in taking me on?" says Claudia, as she puts her wad of cash on the pool table. (This scene pays homage to a similar scene when Jason first met Carly, then played by actress Sarah Brown, who now plays Claudia.)

2/14 Claudia starts to walk into his office and sees Kate kissing Sonny. She shuts the door before they can see her. Claudia comes into his office after Kate leaves. She asks him about Kate and guesses she is the woman that Sonny is trying to get over and that is why he slept with her that night. Sonny asks her why she is there to see him. She tells him she wants to offer him a trade. Sonny listens to her offer. Sonny is confident he will get his hands on the property that once belonged to Alcazar. Claudia brings up Kate again to see his reaction. Sonny warns her to stay away from Kate or else. Claudia tells him that she likes the challenge of another woman to go up against. Sonny warns her again to stay away from Kate or anyone in his family-or deal with the consequences. He tells her he is not interested in any trade with her and dismisses her.

2/15 At the Zacchara house, Claudia tries to talk to her brother. Johnny is not interested in rekindling their bond yet, though. She understands it is difficult to act like nothing has happened after being gone for all those years. He asks what kept her from coming back earlier. Claudia says it was the same thing that kept him locked up. They talk about the house and how things changed within their family when Trevor came into their lives. He asks if she is there to claim the family empire. He tells her he hasn't decided if he wants to take over for his father or not. If Claudia is shocked, she doesn't show it. Instead, she laughs and asks her little brother if he is challenging her. Johnny reveals much-needed information to Claudia about Sonny and his brother, District Attorney Ric Lansing. Claudia can't believe there is another messed-up family like their own family. She thinks she and Johnny should team up against Sonny and Trevor by using their own hatred against them.

2/18 Claudia storms into Sonny’s office and steams the place up. Sonny is very guarded with Claudia and does not trust her, so he does not return her sexy come-ons. The more Claudia tries to separate business from pleasure and remind Sonny about their night of passion together, the more Sonny resists her obvious charms. When Claudia insults Kate, he angrily asks her to leave. "I don't want you anywhere near here," he says.

"I don't want you because I don't want your tongue suddenly down my throat and a knife in my back." Claudia is obviously hurt when she retorts, "I don't have to be in knife-throwing distance to take you down." As she stalks out she adds, "That wasn't a warning by the way. There won't be a warning." She finds Kate on the docks, but leaves her there. Later at her home, she angrily shatters a mirror.

2/20 Claudia is with Anthony Zacchara in the psych ward. She recalls a childhood incident and hears herself plead in a childish voice, "Stop, Daddy. Get away from me, Daddy!" She picks up a pillow and puts it over Anthony's face as though to smother him, but does not go through with it. When she sits down, Anthony taunts her because she could not kill him. "Couldn't do what," says Claudia, "Take advantage of you while you were helpless? Press down and squeeze the last pathetic breaths out of you? Yeah, I could." She says.

Anthony says, "So why didn't you?"

Claudia responds, "I don't know. Maybe, I want to see you suffer. Maybe, there are ways to get rid of you that won't make my life more of a living hell than you have already made it."

"Like what ways?" inquires Anthony.

"Well, I don't know. Maybe I'll go talk to your doctor and find out," says Claudia as she leaves his room.

2/21 Claudia pays her father another visit. He doesn't seem to recognize her at first and complains about how she is dressed like a whore. Claudia tells him that she wants the same thing he wants, which is to get rid of Trevor.

2/22 Claudia sits on the steps at home and reminisces about bad times. Trevor walks in and demands to know if Claudia shot Kate. Claudia sidesteps the question as long as she can, but finally reveals she knows nothing about Kate being shot. Claudia asks Trevor when he was going to tell her he is Sonny Corinthos' stepfather. Claudia tries to threaten him, but Trevor points out that she was the last one to be removed from the Zacchara family.

2/25 Sonny manages to evade all the Zacchara guards. He gets inside the house and threatens Johnny with a gun, but Claudia intervenes. An angry, distraught Sonny says he will shoot Johnny if Claudia does not tell him where Michael is. Both Claudia and Johnny adamantly deny any knowledge of Michael's whereabouts. Johnny tells Sonny that they do not know anything and walks away, daring Sonny to shoot him.

After Johnny leaves, Claudia and Sonny continue to hold guns on each other. Claudia puts hers down and tries to rekindle the spark she had with Sonny when they had their one-night stand. He is not amenable. He says some very unkind, hurtful things, but Claudia keeps trying to get to Sonny. Jason comes to Sonny's aid and gets him to leave the Zaccharas.

Johnny comforts Claudia, who is frantically searching for a gun because Sonny took hers when he left with Jason. "You're a mess," he tells her. "I know," says Claudia. "You think this house was hell for you," she says. "You don't know what hell is," she tells Johnny before walking away.

2/26 Claudia walks into Kate's room while Sonny is preoccupied. She tells Kate it's time for the two of them to get acquainted. Kate doesn't know who Claudia is, but before Claudia can reveal very much information, Kate starts to go into distress. Sonny freaks out and yells at Claudia. He tells Jason to take care of Claudia, while he goes to talk to Dr. Julian.

Claudia comments to Jason about his role of enforcer for Sonny. She tries to goad him, but Jason doesn't buy into Claudia's comments. When Sonny returns, he is upset that Jason didn't follow his orders. Claudia says she was just checking out her competition, but Sonny says Kate Howard has no competition. Sonny tells Claudia to stay clear of him and anyone he cares about-or else. Claudia asks what the "or else" means. Sonny tells her to ask her brother. Claudia leaves.

2/27 Claudia meets with Jason in Sonny's office. She denies any involvement in either Kate's shooting or Michael's disappearance. She appeals to Jason's reason. She has come because she is worried about Johnny. She wants to know if Sonny has him. Jason acknowledges that it is possible. She offers a truce. Not good enough, says Jason, because Sonny's son is missing. Claudia offers to bring down Trevor Lansing. She tells Jason that she can bring down Trevor without hurting the organization. Jason agrees that Sonny might be interested. Claudia says that her deal will be on the table for 20 minutes. She leaves so that Jason can contact Sonny.

When Claudia returns, Jason tells her that Sonny's only priority is finding his son. Claudia wonders out loud about Sonny and Kate. Perhaps, she muses, it is time for her to tell Kate about the hot night she spent with Sonny. Things may be a lot different after she tells, muses Claudia as she exits Sonny's office.

2/29 Lulu goes to the Zacchara house and looks for Johnny. She finds Claudia, instead. Claudia questions who Lulu is and warns her about the dangers of the Zacchara house. Lulu explains to Claudia that she and Johnny had a date and he didn't show up. Claudia is very good at reading people and understands that Lulu and Johnny had sex. She realizes the two care about each other. She decides to use Lulu to her advantage to try to find out what happened to Johnny.

Sonny has just revealed he is holding Johnny captive. Sonny tells Claudia she shouldn't be so surprised. Johnny won't be released until Michael is safe and sound, though. Claudia swears she knows nothing about Michael's disappearance. If Sonny lets Johnny go, Claudia promises to help find Michael. Claudia's promises mean nothing to Sonny. She tells him she is trying to be fair because of their "history." Sonny comments that history isn't made in hotel rooms with the occasional whore. Claudia is insulted. She smiles and tells Sonny to remember who started this, because she'll make sure he doesn't forget who ends it.

Kate is asleep. She wakes up when Sonny is gone and Claudia is back. Claudia is toying with Kate's hair and tells Kate about her hotel romp with Sonny after Kate and Sonny broke up.

3/3 Claudia told Kate that she had a one-night stand with Sonny. Kate tried to find out why Claudia wanted her to know. Claudia pretended altruism, but Kate did not believe her. Kate told Claudia that Sonny was just using her. Kate told Claudia, "You're just a scared little girl." Claudia's comeback was to attack Kate. She called her a phony and a fake and told her that if she were really secure, Kate would tell Sonny about their conversation. "But you won't," Claudia gloated as she sailed out of Kate's room.

Claudia and Trevor met up in Jake's bar. Trevor was surprised to find that Claudia already knew that Sonny had kidnapped Johnny. He told her that Sonny was out of control and that they could use the situation to their advantage if they could find Michael first. Claudia and Trevor engaged in more verbal sparring before he left to start looking for the missing Michael. As Trevor left, Patrick walked in. After he ordered a drink, Patrick and Claudia made eye contact. In the hospital, Robin had a sonogram and saw her baby for the first time.

3/6 Claudia showed up at Sonny's office to see him. Max tried to stop her from going into Sonny's office but Sonny came out to see what she wanted. Claudia tried to convince him that she didn't kidnap Michael and didn't think that Trevor did either. Sonny told her that he had no reason to believe her or Trevor, and planned on keeping Johnny until he got his son back. Claudia warned him that if Johnny was harmed in any way she was going to make him pay.

3/7 Claudia walked in to see Anthony, and he called her a slut. She questioned why he would say that to her, and he said it was because of the way she dressed. He asked her what she wanted, and Claudia said Sonny. The thought of Sonny and Claudia made Anthony sick. Claudia wasn't interested in getting dating tips from her father, though. She needed information for a trade from him. She tried to get him to focus and asked him if Trevor was drugging him. Anthony told her no, and he managed to come up with some names and numbers that might help Claudia. He told Claudia if anyone were to hurt her he would make them eat dirt. She was surprised to hear him defend her. Before Claudia left, Anthony asked about Johnny. Claudia promised she would get her brother and bring him to see Anthony soon.

3/12 Sonny dared Trevor to shoot him. Claudia walked in and demanded to know where Johnny was. Sonny said he might have been able to remember better if the guns weren't aimed at his head. Claudia ordered the gunmen to put their guns down, and Sonny reiterated the request for Michael to be returned. Claudia then demanded everyone leave, including Trevor. Once everyone was gone, Sonny told Claudia to be careful with Trevor, because Trevor didn't care what happened to Johnny. Claudia knew that and said that was why she was going to deal directly with Sonny in this situation. Claudia and Trevor talked about Anthony getting more lucid. Claudia warned him that she was not daddy's little girl anymore. He told her she would die alone, but Claudia retaliated and said he would die and she would be the one to do it.

3/13 Trevor ordered one of his henchmen to find a way for them to get their hands on the deeds to the waterfront property that Ric had. Claudia came into the room and didn't like that Trevor was trying to run things without her permission. She told him that he didn't run the family business anymore and that she would take care of things without his help. She also told him she had plans to have her father sent home to be taken care of, instead of at the institution. Trevor told her that wasn't going to happen because Anthony was a criminal and was sent there for being criminally insane. He said Claudia couldn't just have him released. Trevor laughed at her and told her to let him take care of things since he knew what he was doing. Claudia threatened to have him killed if he interfered with her plans.

3/14 Claudia walked into Ric's apartment and noted Marianna wasn't there. After all the introductions, she told Ric it was his lucky night. Ric realized Claudia wanted the waterfront property. Claudia offered money, power, and respect in exchange for the waterfront properties. Ric turned her down, and Claudia left. Claudia called Sonny and informed him that she was ready to make a deal. Sonny asked about Trevor, but Claudia said Trevor was out of it now. Sonny promised to meet with Claudia, and she reminded him to bring Johnny. When they hung up the phone, Claudia didn't realize Trevor was eavesdropping. Claudia arrived on the docks to meet with Sonny. In the shadows, Trevor told his goon to aim his gun at Claudia's heart. Johnny should think Sonny killed Claudia and would not stop until Sonny was ruined. If it were to backfire and Sonny were to kill Johnny, it would make no difference to Trevor. His goon took aim as Sonny entered with Johnny. They talked briefly as Trevor's goon took aim and shot right before the docks blew up.

3/17 A hurting Sonny heard a moan under some beams and boards that he assumed was Carly. He struggled to remove the debris, only to discover Claudia, who sat up and asked if Johnny was okay.

3/18 Sonny thought he was pulling Carly out of the wreckage, but ended up finding Claudia instead. He wasn't very happy and quickly left. Johnny found his injured sister not long after leaving Lulu. Claudia Zacchara was in one of the emergency rooms, and Robin went in to examine her. Claudia wanted Robin to look at Johnny first, but Johnny insisted that Claudia be the one examined. Robin told Claudia she would need stitches but informed Claudia of her own HIV status before beginning the procedure. Claudia freaked out and said she didn't want Robin treating her. Patrick walked in and told Claudia she needed education on HIV, but Claudia retorted by asking him if he would want to take a chance with his own life or that of someone he cared about by letting her treat them. Patrick announced Robin was carrying his child.

Sonny entered Claudia's hospital room and demanded to know who set the bombs. He saw Trevor around the docks afterwards. He asked if Claudia told Trevor about the meeting. Claudia swore she did not, but Johnny interrupted them when he came in and pushed Sonny against the wall with a gun to his head. He threatened and hit Sonny. Claudia told him that Sonny would be out for blood after Johnny humiliated him. Johnny said Sonny had more to lose than Johnny did. They talked about what life was like for them growing up and how Claudia had always told her little brother she would never let anyone hurt him. They share a touching moment as Claudia continued to tell Johnny how the only time she ever felt loved was when Johnny was little and would crawl in bed with her and fall asleep. She hated her parents for making her leave him. Johnny told her he had missed her.

3/19 Johnny brought Claudia home from the hospital. He was angry about Sonny's treatment of Claudia, especially, he told her, after Johnny had saved Michael's life. Sonny's lack of gratitude was too much for Johnny and he wanted to make Sonny pay. Claudia stopped him from going off to kill Sonny. She told him that she could handle men like Sonny. She agreed with Johnny that they would kill Sonny, but Claudia cautioned, "We'll be smart about it." Claudia told Johnny that it was necessary to secure the Alcazar Piers first. She also feared that if Johnny killed Sonny, Jason would kill Johnny. Johnny retorted that if that happened, she would be in charge of the family.

A hurt Claudia asked him if he really thought that she came home to take over. Trevor eavesdropped outside the office door while Claudia told Johnny that she was there to support him and that the reason that she had not come home before was because she needed ammunition to fight Trevor. Johnny noticed Trevor and asked him if he had heard enough. Trevor entered the room and warned Johnny not to trust Claudia because she would put a bullet in his back. Trevor was very convincing when he kept insisting that Claudia wanted Johnny dead. After Trevor departed the room, Claudia kissed Johnny on the cheek and told him not to believe Trevor, then left.

A few minutes later, Claudia walked in and reminded Carly of their previous meeting. When Carly remembered meeting Claudia at the hotel, Claudia told her that it was her brother who saved Michael from the burning building. When a dazed Carly asked her name, Claudia gave her full name, Claudia Zacchara. Then she told Carly about Sonny's behavior and treatment of Johnny while Michael was missing. She told Carly to control Sonny and explained in no uncertain terms what would happen if Sonny started a mob war. As Carly began responding to Claudia's implied verbal threats, her monitor started beeping and she held her abdomen and gasped in pain.

3/20 Carly suffered more cramping after Claudia visited her hospital room and upset her. Jason showed up to see her, found Claudia standing over Carlys's bed, and got suspicious. Kelly Lee entered the room and kicked Jason and Claudia out so she could examine Carly. Jason demanded to know why Claudia was in Carly's room. Claudia told him she wouldn't be to blame if Carly had a miscarriage. She told him she had come to ask Carly to persuade Sonny not to start a war with Claudia's family. She filled Jason in on what happened in Port Charles while he was out of town. She told him that Johnny saved Michael's life, even after Sonny had kidnapped Johnny and locked him up in some padded room. She told Jason that she didn't want to start a war with Sonny, but if he kept things going, she would have no choice but to start a war.

Claudia showed up and apologized for interrupting Lulu and Johnny. Lulu told her that she was leaving anyway. Claudia asked Johnny how he met Lulu. He told her that he had met her when he was out driving late one night. He told her that there was something about Lulu that allowed him to be himself. Claudia told him he was probably play acting for Lulu's benefit. She also told him he was a nice guy who always brought home stray dogs, cats, and three-legged frogs when he was a little boy. She suggested to him that maybe he thought of Lulu as someone he had to save. They ended up discussing Sonny. Claudia suggested that he not go after Sonny by himself and that she could help him. He told her he wanted Sonny dead.

3/21 Dr. Devlin went to see Claudia Zacchara, where it was apparent they knew each other. He told her she was more beautiful than ever. He said he needed her family to ship some drugs for him, and Claudia said it could be arranged. Johnny told Claudia he would be the head of the family unless she wanted it for herself. Claudia told him he was the reason she came back. She didn't want him to get in the middle of this mob war. Trevor was going to fight them every step of the way.

Claudia wanted Johnny to take back what was his but to do it in a way it could not be traced back to him. Johnny said he wanted everyone to know what he was going to do. They talked about killing Sonny, and Claudia said Jason would also have to be "taken out". She thought they should use a third party for the killings. Sonny showed up, and Johnny had him patted down twice. Sonny admitted he made a mistake and wanted to make a deal with them. When Sonny left the Zacchara house, Claudia told Johnny she thought Sonny bought their little ploy. Johnny agreed to do it Claudia's way. They would use a third party to kill Sonny and Jason.

3/24 Dr. Devlin and Claudia met in her office. They reminisced about their previous business relationship in Milan where Claudia had shipped drugs for him. He agreed to let the Zaccharas move his drugs again if they could keep Trevor out of the loop. Claudia agreed to his terms. Devlin left. Claudia made martinis, which she shared with Johnny when he arrived. They drank and discussed the deal with Devlin and laughed at Sonny because the shipment for Devlin would be a violation of the truce. Trevor heard them talking and told them that they could not cut him out. He warned Johnny against Claudia, but both Claudia and Johnny stood up to him and sent him away.

3/25 Robin came over to sign some paperwork for Claudia and Johnny and ended up giving herself a paper cut. Claudia threw another fit and refused to have anything to do with Robin or the paperwork for fear of contracting HIV. Jason came in at that time and he and Claudia noticed each other. Claudia was concerned with what he was doing at the hospital, but he told her it was none of her business. After Claudia and Johnny were alone, they talked about Jason and how he had a mind of his own. Claudia had an idea of how to deal with Jason. Johnny noticed Claudia sounded a lot like she was taking over, but Claudia tried to assure her brother she was just helping.

3/26 Claudia went to see Luke on his boat. She tried to get him to work with her against Sonny. He told her that everyone who went against Sonny was dead. He did not want to join them. Claudia did not take "no" for an answer. She told Luke to pick a side or he was dead. Claudia poured drinks for both Luke and herself. He told her that she acted like a woman scorned. She leaned over him and told him that she would make an example of him. Tracy walked in on them and was not pleased by the tableau they presented. She exchanged insults with Claudia who left after telling Luke that he knew where to find her. Claudia Zacchara walked in and offered to back Kate's magazine. Kate asked Maxie to take notes for the next issue on what women should never wear. She then critiqued Claudia's look unfavorably. Claudia retaliated by telling Kate that what Kate was really good at was "losing a guy."

3/27 Claudia talked to Kate about investing in her new magazine. She had really come over to get in Kate's face and tell her about what Sonny did to Johnny. Sonny showed up and asked Claudia what she was doing there. Claudia told him she had a confession to make, she knew who he was all along when she slept with him that night at the hotel. Kate tried to act like she wasn't bothered by what Claudia was saying. Claudia told Kate that Sonny must have been sex-starved that night and needed a real woman to satisfy his needs. Sonny told Claudia that he knew what kind of woman she was all along and that he would never make the same mistake again with her.

Claudia showed up at the penthouse to see Jason. She was charmed by Spinelli and started flirting with him. Spinelli got very flustered around her and tried to resist her compliments. Jason told Claudia to leave Spinelli alone and had Spinelli leave the room. Claudia told Jason that she went to see Kate and that Sonny showed up and they had quite a lot to talk about. Jason cut to the chase and asked her what she wanted. She put down a large metal briefcase and opened it and told him she brought him the gun she wanted him to use to take out Trevor with. She told Jason that if he got rid of Trevor for her, it would go a long way toward honoring the truce between Sonny and her family.

3/28 Jason rejects Claudia's proposal that he kill Trevor. Thinking it's time to eliminate Sonny, Claudia meets with Ian, who in turn summons Jerry. But Jerry tells Ian that if he wants Sonny dead, then he'll have to do the deed himself.

3/31 Sonny told Claudia to stay away from Kate and Claudia called Kate a "stick figure." Johnny came in and told Sonny that if he wanted to keep the truce, he'd better stay away from Claudia, who admitted that she had initiated the invitation to Sonny to meet for a drink. Sonny said that he agreed with Johnny and would have no problem keeping his distance from Claudia. He left the Metro Court and Spinelli followed. Johnny wanted to know what Claudia was up to. She told him that she was getting information, and that, in fact, she had the information they needed to take Sonny out and Sonny did not even know that she had it.

Claudia met with Devlin and Jerry. She told them that Sonny would be at the warehouse at 7 p.m. on Friday night to accept a shipment of coffee and to sign off on it with the customs inspector. Devlin said that he could do the hit on Sonny. Claudia gleefully announced that they were agreed; Sonny would die on Friday night.

4/1 One of Carly's hotel employees came to show Carly the bookings for the hotel. She noticed they were booked up for many days, and Kate had booked one of the party rooms at no cost. It was noted to Carly that Mr. Jacks signed off on it, in exchange for free advertising in Kate's magazines. Carly said it could be worthless if Kate's magazine bombed. She said Kate would have to pay for the room. Claudia sat in a corner with a drink and stated loudly to Carly that she agreed with Carly's view of Kate Howard. Carly walked over and took Claudia's drink away and asked her to leave. Carly said her husband would agree with kicking her out since Claudia was the person in the room with her when Carly miscarried her baby. Claudia pointed out that her being next to Carly did not cause her to lose the baby, and suddenly Claudia realized Carly was jealous because Claudia had slept with Carly's ex-husband.

4/2 Carly had a confrontation with Claudia in the Metro Court. She told Claudia to leave because she did not want the hotel to get a reputation for being a place to find "hookers." Claudia told Carly that she had better learn to get along with Claudia. Claudia said that she had a "long, mean memory," and if Carly kept causing problems payback would hit her "in the face, like a fist." Claudia suggested that they agree to peaceful coexistence. She that Carly could buy Claudia's drink and they could play nice. Carly responded by telling Claudia that if she wanted a peaceful co-existence, she would stay away from Carly, Carly's family, and Carly's hotel. Claudia told Carly to have it her way, but when Carly found her life in ruins, she should remember their conversation. Carly got the last word when she said that better women than Claudia had tried to take Carly down, but had failed. Carly was still standing and they were gone.

Back at the Zacchara home, Johnny and Claudia discussed their next moves. Claudia wanted to destroy Carly, but Johnny told her to forget revenge. When he told her he wanted to buy the Haunted Star, Claudia was skeptical. She asked Johnny if getting close to Lulu was worth the chance that Luke, who was loyal to Sonny, might stumble on their plan to eliminate Sonny. Johnny told Claudia that if she had covered her tracks as well as she said she had, then there would be no problem with Luke. When Claudia told Johnny that there was no need to launder money in Port Charles. Johnny admitted that he was doing it for Lulu so that she did not have to depend on Nikolas or Luke's rich wife for money. Claudia thought that it was a very sweet gesture. Johnny agreed that they would have to be careful to keep Luke in the dark about their plans for Sonny. Claudia's last comment was that Sonny would die on Friday.

4/3 Johnny asked Claudia about when she planned to have Sonny killed. Claudia tried to reassure him that Sonny would die soon and asked him to let her handle everything. She told Johnny to make sure to be around a lot of people so he would have an alibi that night. Claudia questioned him about his new business deal with Luke and wondered if Johnny was really more interested in being closer to Lulu than caring about the casino. Johnny told her that Lulu made it clear to him that she didn't want to be with him and so he was staying clear of her.

Claudia went to the "Haunted Star" to talk to Luke. Luke told her that he would be running the casino, not Johnny. Claudia brought up the subject of Lulu to him. Luke told her that he stayed out of Lulu's love life and didn't care what guy she got involved with. Claudia told him that Johnny was still interested in Lulu but that Lulu didn't want to have anything to do with Johnny so he was staying away from her. Luke told her that Lulu was still hung up on Johnny even if she wasn't ready to admit it. Claudia warned Luke that it would be a mistake for Lulu and Johnny to get involved with each other and that Lulu could find herself in grave danger.

Luke warned Claudia that if anything bad happened to Lulu, he would kill Johnny himself. Johnny didn't like it when Claudia wouldn't give him more details of her plot to kill Sonny. Trevor showed up and told them they had to neutralize Sonny once and for all. Johnny told Trevor that they called a truce with Sonny and couldn't do anything to him. Trevor told Claudia that he knew something fishy was going on with them since he expected them to have tried to eliminate Sonny by now and asked them what they were really up to.

4/4 While Trevor and Johnny argued, Claudia answered her cell phone. Dr. Ian Devlin was calling to tell her he was waiting, with a sniper rifle. for Sonny. When she got off the phone, Claudia told Trevor she felt Trevor just wanted Johnny to kill Sonny before Sonny killed Trevor. After Trevor left, Claudia told Johnny that Sonny would be dead within the hour. They each needed to make sure they had air-tight alibis, though. Johnny was going to meet with Luke. Claudia didn't think that was a good idea. Luke was a smart man, and being with him could be dangerous. Claudia also pointed out that Johnny should find a girlfriend with a father who could be intimidated. Claudia soon left to find her own alibi. She showed up at the Metro Court, where she and Jerry pretended to be meeting each other for the first time.

Claudia went over to the hotel manager and asked for the penthouse suite. When he told her it was unavailable, she got belligerent and asked to speak with the owner. When Carly showed up at the hotel, she insisted that Claudia leave. Claudia brought up her one-night stand with Sonny, and Carly told her she was acting like a stalker. Claudia said Carly was intimidated because she knew Kate couldn't hold on to a man like Sonny, but Claudia could. Carly had good instincts to keep Claudia away from Sonny.

4/7 Claudia and Carly exchanged barbs in the Metro Court. Claudia accused Carly of being jealous, because Sonny was interested in Claudia. She told Carly that she was not woman enough to hold on to both Jax and Sonny. While they were arguing, Kate called Carly to tell her that Michael had been shot. An obviously stunned Claudia started issuing orders for a car to take Carly to General Hospital. Claudia lurked around the hospital. She cornered Dr. Devlin with the excuse that her "stitches" needed looking at. He was relieved to be called away because he did not want to explain his mistaken shot to her. Johnny confronted Claudia in the hospital about the events that led to Michael's shooting.

4/8 Johnny yelled at Claudia for her sloppiness with the hit on Sonny. He threatened to go to Sonny and take responsibility for the shooting. Trevor approached them and recommended that Johnny tell Sonny that Claudia was responsible for the shooting. Johnny said the only person he would be ratting on would be Trevor. Alexis overheard their conversation and asked Johnny if he would be willing to give a statement. Johnny admitted that Trevor had threatened to shoot Sonny many times in the past and he believed Trevor was capable of this shooting. Trevor told Alexis he had an alibi and told her about his dinner with the mayor. After Trevor left, Alexis warned Johnny not to be using the shooting as an opportunity to get back at Trevor for personal reasons. When Alexis took her leave, Johnny told Claudia he had bought them time but she needed to fix the situation. Claudia left and confronted Ian on his mistake. Ian tried to explain what happened, but Claudia wasn't interested. He told her they could both walk away from it and no one would be the wiser. Claudia didn't answer and just walked away.

4/9 Aboard the Haunted Star, Luke confronted Claudia about Michael's shooting. Lulu overheard them talking. She gave Johnny an alibi, but Luke insisted that the Zaccharas might have hired a hit man. Claudia defended herself vigorously. She claimed that she would never hurt a child. When Luke appeared to believe her, she offered him compensation to defend her to Sonny before exiting the Star. Claudia answered her summons from Tracy. Claudia allowed Tracy to think that she had something going on with Luke. She responded to Tracy's snobbery with insults to Tracy's wardrobe, and sexual innuendos. Tracy tried to buy Claudia's interest in the Haunted Star. When Tracy told Claudia to name whatever price it would take to get rid of her, Luke walked in and wanted to know why anyone would want to get rid of Claudia Zacchara.

4/10 Luke came home to find Tracy talking with Claudia. Claudia told Luke that Tracy invited her over so Tracy could offer to buy Johnny's share of the casino from him and to keep Claudia away from Luke. Tracy told Luke that she was trying to keep Johnny away from Lulu before she ended up like Michael, shot and in a coma. Luke told Tracy that he didn't interfere in Lulu's love life. Lulu came home to find them all discussing her. Lulu told Claudia that she told Sonny that Johnny was with her the night that Michael was shot. Claudia thanked her for doing that and left.

Claudia approached a drunk Patrick and offered to buy him a drink. Patrick defended Robin's decision to have a baby of her own after Claudia accused Robin of being selfish for risking giving her baby HIV. She suggested to Patrick that they could have adopted a baby or had a surrogate mother. Patrick admitted to her that he didn't want to be a father and that was why he and Robin had broken up to begin with. He told Claudia that he and Robin conceived a baby because of a ripped condom and a night of comforting each other. Claudia told Patrick that Robin probably planned the whole thing so she could get pregnant by him. Patrick defended Robin again and told Claudia that Robin wouldn't do something like that. Robin showed up at Jake's to find Claudia cozying up to Patrick.

4/11 Patrick tried to explain his relationship with Robin to Claudia. Robin told him he was wasting his time talking to Claudia. Robin asked why he was even talking to Ms. Zacchara, and he told her that Claudia wanted to thank him for saving Michael's life. Before they left, Robin and Patrick told Claudia that Michael's surgery wasn't all that successful. He was in a permanent coma. Claudia appeared bothered by the news. Claudia went to Michael's hospital room and apologized for hurting him. It never occurred to her that he would have been there with his father. It should have, though, because she had been there herself with her father. She gave Michael a piece of her mother's jewelry, and asked if he would hold on to it for her.

4/14 Carly found Claudia by Michael's bedside. She was not happy. Claudia tried to express her regret and remorse, but Carly wanted her gone from Michael's side. Jax arrived just in time to support Carly and he, too, asked Claudia to leave and she did. Claudia got back from the hospital. She told Johnny that when she saw Michael all she could think about was her promise to protect Johnny when he was a little boy. He gave her a brotherly hug. He questioned her about whether or not anyone saw her. Claudia said that she let Carly vent on her, but she wondered how Carly would feel if she knew that Claudia was responsible. A tearful Claudia's guilt and remorse was palpable. Johnny vowed to protect her and make sure that no one would know of Claudia's involvement in Michael's shooting. They agreed to keep their secret. Claudia found a charm bracelet belonging to Lulu on the floor by the piano and asked about Lulu. Johnny told her that they were over.

4/15 Johnny told Claudia about Lulu providing him with an alibi to Sonny and Carly. He repaid her by blowing up at her and throwing her out. Claudia asked if he wanted to talk, and Johnny did his best to explain their relationship. Claudia warned her brother not to fall in love, because it would be a death sentence. She used their father as an example, and Johnny took that as a vote against him. Claudia felt that love was a chance not worth taking. Johnny said that was what love was all about. Claudia said he should pick his battles, and love shouldn't be one of them. She witnessed her mother's transformation when their father divorced her. Johnny said Claudia could fall in love at some point, also. Claudia said she would never fall in love, because the type of man she needed didn't exist. Love was a losing proposition. There was only one woman in the world who would always have Johnny's back, and that was Claudia.

Jason ran into Claudia at the docks. She asked him if he was the one riding down the alley on his motorcycle going 90 miles an hour. He said it was and asked if she was the one speeding down the alley going the wrong direction. Claudia admitted that she was that driver with the need for speed. They couldn't call the cops on each other, though, so maybe it was a standoff. They talked about Michael, and Claudia said she was with Carly at the hotel when she got the call. She didn't think people in their line of work should procreate. It wasn't fair to the kids. Claudia took Jason's silence as if he was agreeing with her.

4/16 At the Zacchara compound, Claudia and Johnny continued to feel guilty over their part in Michael's shooting. Each wanted to protect the other. Johnny decided that he would go to Sonny and swear that he and Claudia were innocent, since that is what they would do if they really were innocent. When Claudia Zacchara stopped in at Jason’s, she sounded very sincere when she told Jason that Johnny had nothing to do with the shooting. She blamed an unknown third party. She told Jason that Johnny was planning to go to Sonny and tell him that they were innocent. She asked Jason to guarantee Johnny's safety. Jason made it clear that neither he nor Sonny would act until they had proof, but once they did, he said that nothing on earth would stop them from going after the shooter.

4/17 Claudia and Jerry began plotting against Ian. Both realized that he posed a serious threat to them if Sonny should track the shooting to Ian. While Ian confidently made his way around the casino, Claudia and Jerry discussed ways to eliminate him as a threat.

4/18 Alexis told Claudia and Johnny that Trevor's alibi for the night of the warehouse shooting has checked out. She hasn't counted him out, though, as he could have hired someone to shoot Sonny. Claudia and Johnny were also enemies of Sonny and could want him dead. Claudia and Johnny both gave Alexis their alibis for that fateful night. Johnny assured Alexis he had no idea who shot Michael, but he knew it wasn't himself, Claudia, or anyone in their organization. After Alexis left, Johnny said he thought it was time to tell the authorities the name of the person who actually did shoot Michael. Trevor came in to argue with Johnny and Claudia, but Dr. Devlin soon appeared to speak with Claudia. Dr. Devlin said he was just there to check on his patient who hadn't come in for a follow-up. Claudia assured him she would be in for a private consultation soon.

Dr. Devlin spoke in code to Claudia and said she better be in quickly, or he wouldn't be able to make good on his promise. When Dr. Devlin left, Trevor told Johnny his sister was a tramp and an embarrassment to the family. Johnny told him he was overstepping his bounds. Once Claudia was alone, she called Jerry and told him Dr. Devlin was threatening to expose her. She warned Jerry if Ian called her out, Claudia would be bringing Jerry down with her. Jerry warned her not to threaten him. She hung up the phone and Johnny came in. He knew from the conversation with Dr. Devlin that he was the one who shot Michael. Claudia assured Johnny she had everything under control.

4/21 Ric met Claudia at the Zacchara compound to let her know that Anthony would be getting a new hearing. Johnny overheard and demanded that Anthony stay incarcerated. Claudia told Ric that everyone, including him, was better off with Anthony in the lockup because Anthony was evil and would turn on anyone at any time, even Ric. Ric said too bad. He had already arranged a transfer for Anthony to a private sanitarium without guards, scheduled a hearing, and successfully petitioned to keep Johnny and Claudia away from their father until after the hearing.

Kate went to Claudia, and Claudia taunted her about the one-night-stand that Claudia had with Sonny. Kate was undeterred and told Claudia that if anything happened to Sonny or his children, Kate would use all of her considerable power in the press to crush Claudia and Johnny. Before Claudia could phrase a response, Sonny arrived and told Kate to leave and let him handle it. She did and Sonny asked Claudia out for dinner.

4/22 Claudia met with Sonny and told him she had expected to be treated a little better than the way he was acting towards her. Sonny suggested they should meet up outside of town, but Claudia wasn't that gullible and realized Sonny was trying to set her up. Sonny warned her that if she or Johnny had anything to do with Michael's shooting, he would find out and God help them then.

Later, Johnny and Claudia talked about Sonny and his meeting with Claudia. Johnny was worried about him, but he was also worried about his father. Although Anthony was in a wheelchair, he was completely sane. Claudia said she wasn't scared of Anthony, but Johnny thought she should be worried and should perhaps move back to Italy. Claudia met up with Ian, who told her about Jason snooping around. They both realized running would be the same as committing suicide. Ian told Claudia that he would reveal he was working for her if Jason came to kill him.

4/23 Logan wheeled Anthony back from physical therapy to find Claudia waiting in Anthony's hospital room. He introduced Logan as his medic and bodyguard. Claudia tried to take credit for hiring Logan, but Logan quickly called her a liar and said that Ric had hired him. Claudia snapped at him to "know his place," before trying to convince her father that she and Johnny had hired Ric. When Ric arrived and denied it, Anthony wanted to know why he should believe Ric over his daughter, who made sure that Anthony knew that Sonny was Ric's brother. Ric pointed out that he was the one who had secured the hearing, not Anthony's children. Ric made use of the court order he had that prevented Claudia from seeing Anthony, so a guard came and took her away.

Jason was waiting for Claudia near Shady Brook, when she called to say that she had been delayed talking to her father's doctors. As she neared Jason's location, her brakes failed and her car went off the road. Jason had pulled her from the wreckage, but then were pinned down and ducking bullets from a sniper.

4/24 As bullets rained down on them, Jason and Claudia took cover behind a huge boulder and tried to figure a way out of their precarious situation. Jason quickly became annoyed with Claudia, who proved to be of little help beyond working her agenda. While the sniper continued to fire at them, Claudia let Jason know that her father was behind the attempt on her life. She also tried to suggest that Anthony hired the man who shot Michael. Jason said little. He focused on devising an escape plan. Eventually he decided that their only chance of survival would be to make a run for it. As the sniper took aim, Jason and Claudia ran for their lives, literally. They managed to make it to a deserted cabin and temporary safety. Once they were out of the line of fire, Claudia asked Jason why he had saved her.

4/25 Claudia tried to talk to Jason while they barricaded themselves and tried to prepare for the ensuing gunfight. She talked about her mother and how she was banished when Anthony fell in love with Maria. The first time Claudia saw Johnny, she was in love with him. Claudia swore she would protect her brother with her life. Claudia realized Jason only had five bullets and didn't know how he was going to defend them. Jason said he just wouldn't be able to miss when he fired his shots. They talked some more and Jason mentioned he would hunt down and kill whoever shot Michael. Claudia started to talk about what she would do if something happened to Johnny, but they were interrupted when shots were fired at them.

4/28 Jason and Claudia hunkered down in an abandoned cabin and dodged bullets. During a lull in the shooting, Claudia tried to convince Jason that her father was responsible for shooting Michael. Jason wanted to know if she had hard proof. She said she could get it. He asked if she meant to say "manufacture" it. Claudia tried another tack. She tried to drive a wedge between Sonny and Jason and hit a nerve when she asked Jason if Sonny had ever let him down. She accused Sonny of being selfish and putting his needs before everyone else's needs and not coming through for Jason on the one occasion he needed Sonny. Jason did not give anything away. He told her to stop talking or he would leave.

Claudia kept skewering Sonny, and when she accused Sonny of letting Michael get hurt, Jason left the cabin. Claudia stayed put. Later, Claudia hid when she heard a noise. Her father's hit man entered the cabin, determined to complete the job. Claudia tried to get the drop on him, but he overpowered her. As the hit man was about to shoot Claudia, Jason entered the cabin and aimed his gun at Claudia's assailant, who threatened to drop Claudia if Jason did not drop his gun.

4/29 Claudia managed to get away from the gunman, and Jason took the opportunity to attack the man. Jason tried to question him, but Claudia shot him before anything could be answered. Jason was upset and thought Claudia might have shot the gunman to keep him from discovering who had hired the man. Claudia was upset and thought the man deserved to die, and the two discussed what to do with the dead man's body. Finally, they were ready to leave, and Claudia started to get on Jason's bike. He stopped her to look for any possible bombs before they took off. Claudia wanted Jason to go faster. She knew if something happened to him, though, Sonny would come after her. They decided if they were going to die, they would die together. They both got on the bike and took off.

4/30 Claudia met Johnny on the docks. She told him about her harrowing experience of the day before when she was almost killed by Anthony's hit man. They talked about the trial. Claudia told Johnny that she would testify about how Anthony had killed Johnny's mother and tried to kill her. They left the docks together. Alexis called Claudia to the stand in Anthony’s trial. When asked, Claudia told Alexis that when she left the country at 16, her father was starting to get sick. She told Alexis that her father seemed normal since she had returned from Italy. Alexis then asked Claudia if Anthony had ever threatened her life.

5/1 Alexis questioned Claudia on the stand about Anthony and his threats to murder his daughter. Claudia denied that there had been any attempts on her life or threats made by her father. She insisted that Anthony loved her. When Alexis questioned Claudia about the last time she had visited her father, Claudia continued to lie. She went on to insinuate her short disappearance was because she had met someone for a date. She didn't mention Jason's name but she made a point of looking and smiling at Jason while she spoke. When Alexis failed to get Claudia to cooperate, Diane took over. Unfortunately, Claudia remained steadfast in her insistence that her father had never attempted to kill her. After Claudia stepped down from the stand, the judge rendered his decision.

He released Anthony from protective custody effective immediately. Before leaving the courtroom, Anthony stopped for a minute to talk to Claudia and Johnny. They tried to pretend they were happy for Anthony but it was clear that they were anything but. Anthony seemed to take delight in their discomfort and left the courtroom with a smile on his lips. Johnny and Claudia arrived back at their home. Johnny was livid. He asked Claudia why she had lied on the stand. She explained that it had been a judgment call. She felt that they would be in a better position to deal with their father if he believed that they were on his side. She had a plan to bring down Anthony.

5/2 Anthony met with Johnny and Claudia and apologized to them for his prior misdeeds. The past was over, though, and he was sorry for the time they lost. The family would be back together, and they would become unstoppable. Anthony upset his daughter, though, when he told her women were not part of their family business and she would have to leave. Johnny agreed with him, and Claudia angrily left.

5/5 Outside in the reception area, Claudia arrived and started questioning Lulu about Logan's character. Lulu tried to evade Claudia's questions by saying that she and Logan were just friends. While they were talking, Kate left her office. When she told Lulu that she was going to visit Michael, Claudia ripped her to shreds verbally, telling her how insensitive she was to Carly's feelings and implying that it was Kate's fault that Michael had been hurt. Kate was unable to respond to Claudia's attack because there was a grain of truth in Claudia's accusations and Kate could not dismiss it. Claudia called Kate "selfish" and threatened her with bodily harm if she went near Michael again, before stalking out.

5/6 Sonny talked to Claudia about how she lied in court after realizing her father was going to be released. Sonny said Anthony wouldn't even see it coming when Claudia killed him, just like the way she called a truce with him and then shot at him. Claudia mentioned she was with Carly when Michael was shot, but Sonny knew Claudia wouldn't get her hands dirty by actually being the shooter. He realized she had hired someone. Claudia said it could have been Anthony, or even Ric, who had shot Michael-and Sonny brought the curse on himself. Claudia approached Jerry at the bar and the two talked about how Jason shot and killed Ian. Claudia mentioned how amazing it was in this day and age to have a hit man that could actually hit their target. Jerry said she shouldn't be so confident, because Ian could have ratted them out before he died.

5/7 Claudia called Jerry and told him that they had to talk. Before she could leave her bedroom in the Zacchara compound, Daddy Anthony came in and told her that he knew that she had set up the hit on Sonny. Anthony offered to help her. Claudia denied any involvement in the shooting. Anthony continued to taunt her, especially about sleeping with Sonny. When he told Claudia that Sonny was not right for her, she asked Anthony who would be right for her.

A look passed between them before Anthony answered, "Well, I think you know." Johnny interrupted with a message from Vaughn, so Anthony left to take care of business. Johnny comforted Claudia, after she said that she hated Anthony and it was difficult to continue being nice to him. Johnny told her to be careful. She told him that she could handle anything as long as the two of them hung tough together. Later, Claudia met with Jerry who told her to keep quiet about their involvement with Devlin. When Claudia arrived back at the Zacchara compound, Jason was waiting for her. He wanted to know who hired Devlin to kill Sonny.

5/8 Jason surprised Claudia with an unexpected visit to her home. He wanted her to provide proof to back up her allegations that Anthony arranged the hit on Sonny. Claudia tried her best to convince Jason to trust her lies, but to no avail. Jason wanted definitive proof of Anthony ordering the hit on Sonny. Claudia was forced to admit that she didn't have any. Later, Claudia met Ric at the Metro Court. She was surprised when Ric offered to be her conduit to Anthony.

5/9 Claudia met with Jerry on the docks to discuss Dr. Devlin. Claudia said her and Jerry's alliance was over. Dr. Devlin was dead, so she didn't ever want to see Jerry again. Jerry said she might want to reconsider that after she heard what he had to say. He bribed her by telling her she would be at his beck and call for Zacchara family business or he would tell Jason she had hired Devlin to shoot Sonny. Claudia and her life were now in Jerry's hands.

5/12 On the docks, Claudia and Jerry discussed Michael's shooting. They threatened each other with exposure if either told of the other's involvement in the shooting. As they were arguing, Jerry spotted Alexis. He grabbed Claudia and kissed her. Alexis reacted jealously and Claudia taunted her, but when Claudia said that she and Jerry were business associates, Alexis wanted to know more. Jerry told her that he was in preliminary discussions with Claudia, who added that she was looking for a job since her father had kicked her out of the family business.

Claudia also insinuated that if the business proposal that she was working on with Jerry fell through, she was still open to a sexual liaison with him. She sauntered off, leaving Jerry with Alexis, who promptly told Jerry that she would have no dealings with him if he had any with Claudia. Jerry told her that she was jealous, but Alexis denied it, even as she yelled at him and told him she did not care who he had sex with.

5/14 At the Zacchara compound, Ric offered to keep Claudia up to speed on the family business, because Anthony had excluded her from business meetings, if she would tell him how the family worked. Ric told her that if she would help him get rid of Trevor, he would help her take over the business. She wanted to know why Ric would think that she could betray Johnny so easily. She asked him if he would betray Sonny. Ric did not answer directly. He pointed out how much he and Claudia were alike. Ric stated that they were both throwaway children and had a lot in common. Claudia listened, but did not agree to Ric's scheme, before she left on other business.

Anthony told Claudia that he wanted her to be happy. When he asked what she wanted, she said to be part of the business. Anthony told her that he kept her out of the business to protect her, because he was afraid that she would become power-hungry like her mother. Claudia retorted that the reason Anthony had divorced her mother was not because her mother wanted to be part of the business, but because Anthony had fallen in love with Johnny's mother.

Before Anthony could answer, Jason appeared. Claudia pretended that she was meeting Jason because he was helping her find out who had cut her brakes lines and tried to kill her a few days before. She asked Anthony to stay, but when Logan rushed in with a gun to protect Anthony from Jason, Anthony hurried away to avoid being found out as the one who ordered the hit on Claudia. Claudia thanked Jason, who was really there to see Luke, for rescuing her from Anthony's clutches. She again tried to convince Jason that Anthony had ordered the hit on Sonny that had resulted in Michael's coma. Jason told her that he needed proof against Anthony before he would take any action that served Claudia's agenda.

5/15 Claudia and Johnny plotted against their father. Claudia insisted that they needed to fabricate evidence that would link Ian Devlin to their father. It would be the only way to convince Jason to carry out the hit on Anthony. Johnny was reluctant to involve Jason. He worried that the more they dealt with Jason, the more likely Jason would be to discover the truth about Claudia's involvement with Ian. Johnny warned Claudia that if Jason ever discovered the truth that she had hired Ian, he would kill her. They were interrupted when Jerry Jacks entered. Claudia was less than pleased to see Jerry, especially when Jerry casually told Johnny about his kiss with Claudia the day before. Claudia brushed off the kiss as nothing more than a petty attempt by Jerry to make Alexis jealous. Ric and Anthony walked in and joined the party. Anthony didn't seem to appreciate Claudia's presence in the room and quickly dismissed her.

She tried to hide her annoyance with her father but Jerry appeared to notice it. As soon as Claudia left the office, Anthony demanded answers from Jerry. Jerry explained that he was interested in starting an import business and wanted to discuss leasing the Alcazar piers. Anthony informed Jerry that he had his own plans for the piers and suggested that Jerry talk to Sonny. Jerry had no desire to do business with Sonny. He felt that his interests were more compatible with Anthony's rather than with Sonny's. Claudia didn't appreciate being summoned to the pier by Jerry. She was even more annoyed that he had told Johnny about their kiss. Jerry didn't seem concerned about Claudia's feelings. He expressed his surprise at how impotent she was in the Zacchara organization. Claudia insisted that it was merely an illusion. She told him that once Anthony was eliminated, she would take her rightful place in the family's empire.

Claudia then demanded that Jerry help her find a way to frame Anthony for Michael's shooting. Jerry wasn't interested. He felt that it was better to "let sleeping dogs lie." Jerry suggested that Claudia simply hire Jason for the job instead of trying to frame Anthony. Claudia was forced to admit that Jason would only kill Anthony if he thought that Anthony had ordered the hit on Sonny. Jerry found Claudia's penchant for patricide quite diabolical and hoped that she would understand what he had planned to do next. Before Claudia could ask him what he meant by those cryptic words, Jerry plunged a knife deep into her abdomen.

5/16 Jerry dumped Claudia in the water by the docks.

5/19 A powerful thunderstorm hit the Port Charles area, affecting phones and electrical service. Nikolas found Claudia when she drifted to shore at Wyndemere. She was unconscious when he and Albert put her to bed after Nikolas pulled her out of the water. As Nikolas removed wet clothing, he saw a bleeding stab wound. When Nikolas applied pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding, Claudia woke up in pain. She told him her name and remembered that she had been stabbed and thrown into the harbor.

Claudia did not tell Nikolas who the culprit was. In fact, she insisted that the police not be called. Because the storm interrupted power and phones at Wyndemere, Nikolas and Albert treated Claudia's wounds. Later, when Nikolas looked in on Claudia, she was feverish. As Nikolas applied cool water to her forehead, a delirious Claudia thought he was Johnny and spilled the beans about her part in Michael's shooting to a shocked Nikolas.

5/20 In her delirium, Claudia told Nikolas, who she thought was Johnny, that she should never have trusted Devlin. Because of her, Michael would never wake up. Nikolas realized Claudia had hired Ian Devlin to kill Sonny, but everything blew up in her face when Devlin mistakenly shot and injured Michael. When Claudia finally awoke, Nikolas explained where she was and that he had patched her up the best he could. They spoke of the past, when Emily had died at the party due to a mob boss's son that had been bent on revenge. Claudia asked if he thought she deserved to be stabbed. Nikolas told her to stop hiding behind her father and their mob ties. She would get her day in court where a jury would decide her just punishment IF Sonny Corinthos didn't get to Claudia first.

5/21 At Wyndemere, Nikolas confronted Claudia about her involvement in Michael's tragic shooting. When she denied everything, he told her that he would go to the cops and tell them what she had told him in her delirium. When she said no cops, Nikolas suggested he might tell Jason instead. Claudia told Nikolas that because Sonny had held Johnny hostage, without food or water, and had beaten him when Sonny thought the Zaccharas were responsible for Michael's disappearance and Kate's shooting. Claudia wanted revenge and convinced Ian Devlin to kill Sonny. Nikolas told Claudia that since he paid ten million dollars for an illegal, experimental drug, he was also guilty in Michael's shooting. When Claudia tried to assuage his guilt, Nikolas did not buy into it and instead, asked Claudia how they should be punished for their parts in Michael's shooting.

5/22 At Wyndemere, Claudia continued to recover from the stabbing. Alone in Nikolas' bedroom, Claudia took the opportunity to snoop through Nikolas' personal things. She found a jewelry box, placed near a picture of Emily and Nikolas during happier times. Inside the jewelry box was Emily's engagement ring, which Claudia quickly tried on before returning it to its rightful place. Nikolas brought Nadine to the bedroom so that she could check Claudia's wound. Nadine began asking questions about the injury but Claudia refused to explain how it had happened. She did, however, warn Nadine to remain silent about seeing Claudia at Wyndemere. Nikolas assured Claudia that Nadine would be discreet.

After Nadine left, Claudia remarked to Nikolas that she thought Nadine was romantically interested in Nikolas. He rejected the idea, explaining that Nadine knew he would never love anyone but Emily. Claudia appeared intrigued. She began asking Nikolas about his relationship with Emily. Initially, Nikolas was reluctant to discuss it but Claudia kept pushing. Eventually, Nikolas told her how he met and eventually fell in love with Emily. Claudia told him that she was confident that Nikolas would find love again but Nikolas didn't share her faith. He told her that if he ever loved again, it would pale in comparison to what he had with Emily.

5/23 Nikolas and Claudia talked about Wyndemere and Spoon Island. He was curious who stabbed her, but she said it could have been anyone. He told her she acted like death was an everyday occurrence. She said it pretty much was for her. That was part of her family. She talked about Johnny and called him her prince. Nikolas revealed his full name to Claudia, and she realized he truly was a prince. They both talked about their families, and Claudia pointed out that Helena would fit well into the Zacchara family.

Alfred interrupted them to tell Nikolas his brother was coming to talk to him. Claudia left so Nikolas could have some privacy, but she eavesdropped on his conversation with Lucky when he arrived. Lucky revealed his concerns for Lulu. He thought she and Johnny were sleeping together, and Lucky worried his sister would end up in Shadybrook with their mother. Lucky wanted Nikolas to try and influence Johnny to walk away from Lulu. Nikolas agreed to try, and Lucky left. As soon as he was gone, Nikolas told Claudia she could come out of hiding. She asked if Lulu was a whacko and with her brother.

5/30 Nikolas walked into his study and thought Emily was sitting on the couch. When the woman turned her head, he realized it was Claudia sitting there in Emily's old robe. They talked briefly about Emily until their conversation turned to their childhoods. Growing up in the Zacchara family and the Cassadine family proved to be quite similar, so the two had quite a bit in common and a lot to talk about. Later, when Nikolas was gone, Alfred came in with some tea for Claudia. He mentioned Nikolas had gone out for a ride on the horses, and Claudia asked if he had a death wish because he was riding at night. Alfred mentioned he didn't think his master wanted to live after Emily's death, and Claudia decided to go look for Nikolas. She found him on the ground after he had fallen and gotten hurt. Claudia mentioned he could have been killed, and Nikolas said that might have been for the best.

6/2 Claudia helped Nikolas back to Windemere after he fell off his horse. She examined him for injuries and accused him of having a death wish. Nikolas told Claudia that if he wanted to die, he would have let the tumor take him. As Claudia helped Nikolas to bed, she noticed his obvious pain. She wanted to take him to the hospital, but Nikolas did not want anyone there to worry or jump to the same conclusion that Claudia had. Claudia teased him about Nurse Nadine and the crush that she had on him. Nikolas said that he was in love with Emily and always would be, so it was not fair to get involved with anyone else. Claudia encouraged Nikolas to take some pain pills, even though he resisted.

Before going to sleep, Nikolas told Claudia that he sensed that there was more to her than greed and ambition. He asked who had hurt her. Claudia remained tough, but when Nikolas fell asleep, she had a soft smile on her face as she stroked the hair away from his forehead. Later, when Claudia checked up on Nikolas, he mistook her for Emily and reached for her. When he recognized his mistake, Nikolas apologized to Claudia, telling her that was the worst part-reaching for Emily and realizing all over again that she was gone. Claudia, seeing the tears in his eyes, kissed him tenderly on the lips.

6/3 Nikolas apologized to Claudia for their kiss the night before. Claudia told him it was no big deal; she was just trying to help. Although Emily was gone, Nikolas still felt he would be cheating on her if he were to date anyone else. He simply wasn't ready yet. Claudia assured him it was just a kiss and nothing more. She reminded him of everything he had going for him. It was the least she could do for him after everything he'd done for her. Nikolas remembered Claudia's secret he had been keeping. Claudia assured him her behavior the prior night had nothing to do with Michael Corinthos. Claudia was a Zacchara and a bad person most of the time. She had used sex to put her in a position of power in the past, but not the previous night.

6/4 At Windemere, Lulu walked in, saw Claudia kissing Nikolas, and went ballistic. Lulu called Claudia a "skank," and other derogatory names. She told Claudia to stay away from her brother. Nikolas defended Claudia and asked Lulu to respect Claudia as a guest in his home. Lulu simmered while Claudia took her leave of Nikolas and the island. Once Claudia was gone, Lulu wanted to know how Nikolas and Claudia had met. Nikolas was evasive and told Lulu merely that they were friends and had met by accident. Lulu warned Nikolas away from Claudia and Nikolas warned Lulu away from Johnny.

Claudia met Johnny in the lobby of the hotel. He brought her up to speed on what had happened during her absence. She assured him that neither Sonny nor Jason had been involved in her disappearance. Claudia warned Johnny that Anthony would be out for blood. Johnny convinced her that he could influence Anthony to keep the peace. On her way to work, Lulu ran into Claudia in the hotel lobby. Carly observed as Lulu told Claudia to stay away from Nikolas. A confrontational Claudia wanted to know how Lulu would stop her. Lulu hurled insults and did not back down. When Claudia's threats escalated, Carly moved in and stood between Lulu and Claudia. Carly challenged Claudia by telling her that if Claudia wanted to fight someone, Carly would be happy to oblige.

6/5 Carly and Claudia traded threats at the Metro Court Hotel. Carly wanted Claudia to stay away from Lulu. Claudia wanted Lulu to stay out of Claudia's personal business. Carly pointed out that Claudia didn't have the right to make such a demand when Claudia made her sexual conquests quite public. Lulu agreed to mind her own business if Claudia agreed to stay away from Nikolas. Claudia told Lulu that she didn't get a vote in whom Claudia or Nikolas sleep with. Claudia then turned to Carly and advised her to keep Lulu under control. As soon as Claudia was out of earshot, Carly tried to impress upon Lulu that she was in over her head with Claudia.

Lulu tried to enlist Johnny's help to keep Claudia away from Nikolas. Unfortunately, Johnny felt that Nikolas was the problem, not Claudia. He went to Wyndemere and suggested that Nikolas hire a hooker if he needed to use someone to replace his dead fiancée. Claudia, who had walked in and overheard Johnny, spoke up. She told Johnny that he couldn't dictate whom she slept with.

6/6 Claudia tried to defend Nikolas to Johnny, but after hearing the assumptions Lulu had told him, he didn't think Nikolas was good for his sister. No matter what anyone said, it didn't seem Lulu or Johnny could be convinced anything good could come from Nikolas and Claudia being friends or becoming involved romantically. Claudia and Johnny left Wyndemere, but they ran into each other again when Claudia entered the garden house. Johnny had expected to see Lulu, and Claudia realized that was where Lulu and Johnny had been meeting for their romantic rendezvous. Sister and brother talked about their childhood until the conversation turned to Lulu. Claudia didn't think Lulu was good for Johnny, and Lulu walked in just in time to hear Claudia bad-mouthing her.
