Robin & Patrick & Sabrina #17 July 12 - December 18, 2012: 8 hour original edit

DVD #17AAt the nurses' station, Patrick decided to take an amphetamine, rather than schedule an appointment with Ewen. He was startled when Epiphany walked up to announce that they had a problem. Epiphany explained that a pharmaceutical representative had dropped off Dynexin samples, which had disappeared out of the drug lockup. She was confident that she knew who had taken the missing amphetamines. Patrick fidgeted nervously, as Epiphany confided that she suspected an orderly, named Ramon Santiago, had taken the pills, because several nurses had seen Ramon near the drug lockup. Patrick was curious if there had been anything else to suggest that Ramon was guilty.

Epiphany revealed that Ramon had been written up several times for minor infractions, which suggested a pattern. Patrick wondered why Epiphany was telling him about the theft. Epiphany thought that Patrick would want to know, because Robin had wanted to be kept apprised of serious situations on their floor. Patrick acknowledged that it sounded like his wife. Moments later, Ramon walked up. Ramon realized that Epiphany had told Patrick that Ramon had taken the Dynexin from the drug lockup.

Epiphany suggested that Human Resources handle the situation, but Patrick quickly interceded. Patrick defended Ramon, claiming that he had worked with the orderly before, and that it didn't make sense for Ramon to take the Dynexin. Patrick insisted that Ramon would try to be on his best behavior, because Ramon had been written up. Epiphany agreed to keep quiet about Ramon, but she assured Ramon that she would get to the bottom of things. Later, Ramon approached Patrick to thank Patrick. Ramon knew that Patrick had taken the Dynexin, so Ramon promised that Patrick's secret was safe.

7/18 Anna was pleasantly surprised when Patrick and Emma stopped by for a visit. Patrick explained that Emma was scheduled to spend the day with Mac and Felicia, but Emma had insisted on visiting Anna first. Emma confided that she intended to play with Aunt Felicia's Aztec jewels, so Anna decided to fetch her jewels for Emma to play with too. Emma happily settled down to drape herself in jewels, while Anna and Patrick chatted in the living room. Anna let Patrick know that he could stop by anytime, because her roommate had left.

Patrick was curious if Anna thought that Luke had left town because Luke had killed Anthony. Anna explained that it was a purely circumstantial case against Luke, so it was possible that Luke had left for other reasons. Anna realized that Luke had a reputation of being a perennial adolescent, but she added that Luke could also be thoughtful and caring. Anna was surprised when Patrick revealed that Maxie had moved in to help him with Emma. Anna worried that it might not be a good idea, because Maxie blamed herself for what had happened to Robin.

Patrick assured Anna that Maxie had redirected her energy on trying to help everyone around her, including Patrick. Anna wondered what was going on with Patrick, so Patrick clarified that he had been referring to things like braiding Emma's hair and making sure that Patrick and Emma didn't eat pizza every night for dinner. Anna let Patrick know that she was available if Patrick needed anything. Patrick thanked Anna, and then announced that it was time to leave. Anna wanted Emma to keep the jewelry that Emma had on, so Emma thanked her grandmother, and then started to follow her father out of the suite.

7/19 Lulu greeted Maxie and Patrick as they arrived at the reopening of The Haunted Star. Patrick seemed leery about the evening, but Maxie assured him that they would have fun. Lulu followed Maxie and Patrick into the nightclub. Lulu spotted Patrick stepping out onto the deck for fresh air, so she decided to have a quick word with Maxie. Lulu wondered how Patrick was holding up. Maxie admitted that Patrick had wanted to stay home, but Maxie had changed his mind. Maxie realized that Patrick was tense, but she was relieved that he had stopped taking the pills.

Meanwhile, Patrick popped a pill while he was on the deck. He was startled when he realized that Kristina's cameraman had filmed him. Patrick angrily demanded to see the footage. Kristina and Trey noticed the commotion, so they ran over to see what was wrong. Patrick made it clear that he did not want to be filmed and then stormed off. Starr began to sing. Blair and Todd watched their daughter with love and pride shinning in their eyes. Michael had a similar expression on his face during Starr's performance. Patrick managed to slip another pill into his mouth without anyone noticing. After the song ended, everyone applauded.

Patrick stepped out on deck again, so Maxie followed him. He explained that he was ready to leave, but he urged Maxie to stay because it was clear that Lulu needed her friend, since Dante hadn't shown up. Patrick assured Maxie that he was fine, so Maxie went back inside. Patrick took another pill, and then wandered to the second deck. Later, he returned to the main deck but froze when he spotted Robin gazing out over the water. "Robin," Patrick whispered, as Robin turned to look at him.

7/20 On the deck, Patrick's eyes filled with tears when he saw Robin gazing out over the water. "Robin," he whispered, as she turned to face him. "You came back to me," Patrick said, as his face lit with joy. Patrick admitted that he had known that he would see his beloved wife again, because he couldn't accept that he had lost Robin the way that he had. Robin didn't say anything, prompting Patrick to ask her what was wrong. "Save me," Robin tearfully implored. Patrick assured Robin that she was safe, but she disappeared when he took a step toward her. Patrick called out for Robin, as he desperately looked around for her until he spotted her standing at the entrance to the nightclub. However, the woman was really Lulu. Lulu asked Patrick what was wrong, but Patrick continued to see Robin. Patrick promised to keep Robin safe, and then kissed her. Lulu broke away from the kiss. Patrick was horrified when he realized that it was Lulu, not Robin, whom he had kissed. He immediately apologized, but Lulu realized that he had been hallucinating because he was high. Patrick denied it and tried to leave, but Lulu refused to let him go home to Emma in the state that he was in. She reached inside his jacket pocket and pulled out the bottle of pills. Lulu dared him to deny that he was taking pills while she was holding the evidence.

7/23 On the deck, Lulu confronted Patrick with the bottle of amphetamines that she had found in his jacket pocket. Patrick assured her that it was not what it looked like, but Lulu didn't believe him. She realized that Patrick had never stopped taking the amphetamines as he had promised. Patrick denied that he had a problem with the pills, but Lulu disagreed. Moments later, Maxie called Lulu. Patrick implored Lulu not to say anything to Maxie about the pills. Lulu assured Maxie that Patrick was safe and then lied by claiming that he had returned to the Haunted Star to fetch something that he had forgotten. After Lulu ended the call, she explained that she had lied for Maxie's sake, because Maxie had been proud of herself for persuading Patrick to stop taking the pills. Patrick insisted that his pill use had been blown out of proportion, but Lulu didn't buy it. Patrick denied that he was an addict, so Lulu decided to test him by threatening to toss the pills overboard. Patrick lunged for the bottle of pills. "Okay, I need them. Are you satisfied?" Patrick asked, as Lulu held the pills out of reach. Patrick explained that he had tried to stop taking the pills, but he had needed them because they dulled the pain and allowed him to see and touch Robin. Lulu reminded Patrick that he had kissed her, not Robin. Lulu explained that Patrick didn't honor Robin's memory by throwing his life away. Lulu reminded Patrick that Emma was grieving, too, so Emma needed her father. Patrick feared that he wasn't strong enough, so Lulu promised to get Patrick the help that he needed. Patrick insisted that all he needed was Robin. Lulu gently put her arm around him as he began to weep inconsolably.

7/24 On the Haunted Star, Patrick tried to leave, but Lulu refused to let him run away from his pill problem. Patrick assured Lulu that she had gotten through to him, but Lulu didn't believe him. She reminded him that he had made a similar claim before, but it had been a lie. Patrick asked Lulu to trust him not to put Emma in a dangerous situation, but Lulu refused to back down. She insisted that he had been lucky so far, but that luck would eventually run out, like it had for Luke. Lulu was curious if Patrick would trust Emma's life in the hands of a doctor who was high on amphetamines. She urged him to go to the hospital and detoxify, but Patrick explained that it was too dangerous. Patrick revealed that he had taken drug samples from the hospital, so he was afraid that Monica might piece things together. Lulu realized that Patrick had a difficult road ahead of him, but he needed to get clean.

At the Drake residence, Maxie was pacing the floor when she heard someone on the front porch. Maxie was startled when Mac, carrying a sleeping Emma, entered the house. Mac had used a key that Robin had given to him. He revealed that he and Felicia had spent a wonderful day with Emma, but Emma had woken up from a nightmare, crying out for Patrick. Mac had realized that Emma had been afraid of losing Patrick, the way that she had lost Robin, so he had decided to take Emma home, so that Emma could see Patrick and wake up in her own bed. However, Emma had fallen asleep on the way home. Maxie revealed that Patrick wasn't home.

After Mac carried Emma to the bedroom, he returned to the living room to talk to Maxie. He sensed that something was troubling her, but Maxie assured him that Patrick was fine. Maxie assured Mac that Patrick was doing better since she had moved in, so she was certain that having her around was a big help to Patrick. Mac was concerned about Maxie because she had her own life to live. Maxie reminded Mac that Patrick and Emma were her husband's family, so she had an obligation to help them. Mac warned Maxie that she couldn't take care of everyone while ignoring herself. Maxie explained that her career was a mess, so she didn't even know if she had a job. She imagined that Mac could appreciate her predicament, since he had lost his job. She immediately apologized for the insensitive remark, but Mac assured her that it was okay because he liked his new life. However, Mac was certain that Robin wouldn't want Maxie to stop living her life to care for Patrick and Emma. Maxie appreciated that Mac was concerned about her, but she insisted that she was where she needed to be. After Mac left, Maxie resumed her pacing. Moments later, Emma appeared in the doorway of the living room. "Where's daddy?" Emma asked. Dante approached Patrick to tell Patrick about Olivia's condition. Dante wanted to know if the LSD could cause permanent brain damage, so Patrick explained that it was not his area of expertise. Dante wanted Patrick to check on Olivia, but Patrick suggested that Dante call Dr. Keenan.

A short time later, Patrick arrived home. Emma ran into her father's arms and explained that she hadn't been able to see him because he had been lost. Patrick assured his daughter that she had found him, so she didn't have anything to worry about because everything would be okay. Emma relaxed, as Patrick hugged her tightly. Anna entered the interrogation room. Heather was desperate for news on Luke, so Anna revealed that Luke was alive. Heather was relieved, but Anna warned Heather that it was the end of the line for Heather. Anna started to list the charges that Heather was facing. Heather suggested that Anna stop, or Anna would never know what Heather knew. Anna assured Heather that she wasn't interested, but Heather doubted that that was true. "It's about your daughter," Heather added. Anna warned Heather that Heather didn't know anything about Robin. "I know one thing, she's alive," Heather replied.

7/25 At the hospital, Anna recalled her encounter with Heather in the interrogation room, when Heather had claimed that Robin was alive. "You evil bitch," Anna had screamed at Heather, as she accused Heather of lying. "Have it your way," Heather calmly replied. Anna ordered Heather to be taken to a jail cell. "But my way is so much better. Don't you think?" Heather asked, as she was hauled away. Lulu approached a nurse to find out where Patrick was. The nurse explained that Patrick wasn't working. Lulu clarified that she had been looking for Patrick's hospital room. The nurse checked the computer but didn't see an admission for Patrick.

At the Drake residence, Patrick spotted a note from Maxie. The note explained that Maxie had taken Emma to daycare. Moments later, he heard an urgent knock at the door. It was Robin. Robin pushed her way past Patrick as he opened the door. Patrick smiled with joy. Robin explained that she was there because Patrick needed her. She confronted him about his amphetamine use, but Patrick insisted that the pills made him feel like the explosion and her death had never happened. Robin wanted Patrick to get well, for their daughter's sake, so she implored Patrick to stop taking the pills. Patrick argued that the pills allowed him to hold onto Robin, but Robin feared that he would eventually end up hurting Emma. Patrick begged Robin to help him. "Help me first," Robin replied. Robin explained that Patrick could help her by taking care of their daughter, because Emma needed him. Patrick cried that he couldn't go on without Robin, so Robin assured him that she was still there. She insisted that he didn't need the pills to feel her. Patrick admitted that he had told Emma the same thing, but the words hadn't helped him. Patrick was stunned when Robin revealed that she was alive.

Patrick believed Robin, because he had seen her everywhere. "Patrick, stop," Lulu gently told Patrick when she entered the house. Patrick didn't seem to hear Lulu, as he continued to talk to Robin. Lulu put her hand on Patrick's shoulder, to get his attention, but Patrick shrugged it off and glared at Lulu. He panicked when he turned back to Robin, but she wasn't there. Frantic, Patrick ran around the house, looking for Robin. Lulu explained that Robin wasn't there. Patrick argued that Robin had been in the living room. Lulu wished that had been true, because she was certain that Robin would urge Patrick to stop taking the pills and pull himself together for Emma's sake. Patrick reluctantly admitted that Robin had said something similar to him. Lulu urged Patrick to listen to Robin, and then took his hand so that she could take him to the hospital for treatment. Patrick allowed Lulu to lead him out of the house, but he stopped in the doorway to look back one last time. Robin stood in the living room. "Patrick," Robin whispered. Patrick looked at her longingly and then closed the door.

At an undisclosed facility, a nurse entered a hospital room. "Rise and shine, Robin," the nurse said, but then tensed when she noticed that the bed was empty. The nurse did a quick search of the room and then raised the alarm that Robin was gone. Robin, who had been hiding behind the door, slammed the door into the nurses' face. The nurse crumbled to the ground, so Robin dashed out of the room. A short time later, Robin was dragged back to her hospital room and strapped down to the bed. The nurse was furious when she discovered that Robin had been hiding the medications under the mattress. The nurse called her superior to report what Robin had done and ask for instructions. Robin cried out, begging Patrick and her mother to find her. Later, the nurse returned with a machine.

Robin realized that it was an E.C.T. machine that was used for electroshock therapy. Robin tearfully begged Patrick and Anna to help her, so the nurse assured Robin that Robin would get all of the help that Robin needed. The nurse applied metal devices to Robin's temples, despite Robin's orders to stop. In Luke's hospital room, Anna thanked Luke for taking the bullet that had been meant for her. Luke reminded Anna that she had saved his life, too, which meant that they were responsible for each other's lives. Luke assured Anna that he had been on his way to talk to Tracy when Heather had kidnapped him. However, Luke also had needed to talk to Anna about why Robert had left before Robin's funeral. "What if Robin didn't die?" Anna suddenly asked, cutting Luke off. Anna told him about Heather's claim that Robin was alive. Luke was certain that Heather had been playing mind games with Anna, because Heather's attempt to drive Anna insane with an overdose of LSD had failed. Anna realized that Heather couldn't be trusted, but it was clear that Anna wasn't ready to dismiss Heather's claim entirely. Luke was certain that Heather merely wanted to torture Anna.

7/26 Lulu and Patrick arrived at GH. Lulu offered to fetch Steve to admit Patrick for treatment, but Patrick had second thoughts. Patrick admitted that he couldn't do anything without Robin. Lulu assured Patrick that everything would be fine, so she led him to a nearby room. Patrick lashed out at Lulu by accusing her of assuming that she was some kind of expert simply because she had a couple of relatives who had battled addiction. Patrick warned her that his reputation might be ruined if word got out about his amphetamine use. Lulu feared that Patrick might lose Emma if he didn't get help. Patrick reluctantly agreed, so Lulu offered to get Dr. Keenan. She asked Patrick to stay in the room, so Patrick agreed. "I can't go anywhere without Robin," Patrick admitted after Lulu left.

Lulu and Ewen entered the hospital room where Patrick was waiting. Ewen assured Lulu that he could take it from there, so Lulu left. Ewen revealed that Lulu had told him about Patrick's substance abuse. Ewen warned Patrick that Patrick would go through drug withdrawal, but the most challenging thing would be for Patrick to learn to move forward without Robin. However, Ewen promised Patrick that it was possible. Ewen admitted that he had treated doctors before, so he knew that it was important to be discreet. Patrick was relieved and assured Ewen that he hadn't been high when he had operated on Ewen. "Good to know," Ewen replied. Ewen's phone rang, so he handed Patrick some papers to fill out, and then left the room. Patrick's eyes filled with tears, because he had to write deceased next to "spouse" on the form.

In the interrogation room, Anna demanded to know why Heather had been so cruel as to tell her that Robin was alive. Anna wanted proof of Heather's claim. Heather reminded Anna that Anna had initially refused to hear her out, because Anna had been focused on listing Heather's crimes. Anna argued that Heather had killed Maggie, had nearly killed Luke, and had harmed Olivia. Heather was confident that Olivia would be fine. Heather admitted that she had experienced a little too much of the "purple haze" once herself. "And look at me now," Heather added. Anna turned the conversation back to Robin. Anna threatened to compel Heather to talk, if Heather didn't cooperate. Heather noted that Anna didn't look well, so she asked if Anna had been lying awake at night, wondering if Heather had told the truth. Anna accused Heather of lying about Robin. Heather continued to play her games by offering to tell Patrick, but Anna refused to let Heather torture Patrick. Heather agreed to tell Anna what she knew on the condition that Anna gave Heather full immunity, dropped all of the charges, and offered a public apology. Anna refused. Heather was stunned when Anna pulled out her gun and aimed it at Heather.

At an undisclosed location, Robin was strapped to hospital bed, while a nurse prepared to give Robin an electroshock treatment. Robin cried for Patrick and her mother to help her, but her cries fell on deaf ears. Desperate, Robin promised not to try to escape again, but the nurse insisted that Robin couldn't be trusted to even take her pills. Robin suggested that they inject Robin intravenously with the medication, but the nurse had her orders.

Robin demanded to know who was behind the orders, but the nurse refused to tell her. Robin explained that there were side effects to electroshock treatments, including brain damage, but the nurse was experienced with the treatments. Robin warned the nurse that Robin's mother was an experienced killer, who wouldn't hesitate to end to lives of anyone who had harmed Robin. Robin was certain that her mother would eventually find Robin. The nurse assured Robin that they were aware of who Anna was, so they were prepared. Robin's fear turned to anger as she ordered the nurse to crank the machine high, because if they didn't kill her, then Robin vowed to kill everyone in the room. The nurse ignored Robin, as she strapped a mouthpiece around Robin's head, to keep Robin from biting her own tongue during the treatment. Robin tearfully promised herself that she wouldn't forget Patrick and Emma. Moments later, the nurse hit the button that delivered the electric shock.

In the interrogation room, Heather told Anna about a mystery patient who had been admitted to Ferncliff's critical care unit. Heather revealed that she had managed to slip into the patient's room, so Heather had seen Robin with her own eyes. According to Heather, Nurse Fletcher had overseen Robin's care, but Nurse Fletcher had been taking orders from a man only known as "Doctor." At Ferncliff, Nurse Fletcher told her superior that she had given Robin the electroshock treatment, as he had ordered. However, Robin hadn't responded as expected. The doctor entered room number sixteen. Robin appeared to be in a catatonic state as she stared at the wall, so he leaned down to check Robin's pupils. The doctor was revealed to be Ewen Keenan.

7/27 Anna went to Ferncliff to look for Robin. She found the critical care unit and started a search. Inside Robin's room, the nurse who had administered electroshock talked to a doctor who was revealed to be Ewen Keenan. He said that the nurse had not given the proper dosage. He told the nurse that he'd wanted Robin calm, not comatose. He ordered the nurse to leave. Once the nurse was gone, Ewen told Robin that he was sorry for the shock treatment, but that Robin's repeated escape attempts had made it necessary. Ewen said that he knew that Robin wanted to go home, but that was not possible. He said that Robin's loved ones were moving on, and Robin had to accept her fate. Ewen showed Robin a brochure and told her that it was for a clinic in Switzerland where Robin would be sent for her future care. Both Ewen and Robin heard raised voices in the hallway, and Robin recognized Anna's voice and called for her. As Ewen walked to the door, the brochure fell to the floor.

Outside the room, the nurse stopped Anna, who said that she was a police officer. She showed the nurse Robin's picture, but the nurse denied ever having seen Robin. Anna broke down a little and explained that Robin was her daughter and that Heather Webber had reported that Robin was in Ferncliff. The nurse said that Heather was an unreliable liar who should not have been released and who would not have been if the nurse had been in charge. Ewen poked his head out of Robin's room and signaled for the nurse to get Anna away. When Anna insisted on a search, the nurse steered her down a hallway away from Robin's room. Ewen made a phone call and told someone else that Anna was a problem and that they had to move Robin immediately. When Anna and the nurse returned from searching, Robin's room was empty. When Anna checked out the room, the nurse was conciliatory. Anna left Ferncliff without finding Robin.

At GH, Patrick and Elizabeth talked as Patrick prepared to check himself into the drug rehabilitation program. Patrick fessed up to Elizabeth and told her about his addiction and his inconsolable grief over Robin's loss. Patrick told Elizabeth that Ewen was helping him. Patrick said that Ewen was a good guy and urged Elizabeth to give him another chance romantically. Patrick admitted that earlier in the summer, Ewen had asked Patrick if Ewen should be concerned about Jason, and Patrick had said yes. Elizabeth tried to explain her complicated relationship with Jason, but Patrick said that his only concern was Elizabeth, and he did not want to see her hurt. Patrick said that Ewen was single, unencumbered, and a nice guy, and all Patrick was advising Elizabeth was to give Ewen a chance. Anna arrived as Patrick and Elizabeth hugged. When Anna asked if things were okay, Elizabeth said that they were talking about Robin. Anna said that that was a good thing and that she was on her way to check on Luke. After she left, Patrick thanked Elizabeth for not saying anything about his addiction. Elizabeth said it was not her place. Patrick said he was getting treatment but assured Elizabeth that it was not the drug addiction that was the problem, but saying goodbye to Robin.

Ewen pushed Robin, who was in a wheelchair, down a hallway. He assured her that she would like the Swiss clinic. His phone rang. When he answered it, the caller was Elizabeth who said that she had been thinking about their conversation and that she would like to go out with him again. She told Ewen that Patrick had encouraged Elizabeth to give Ewen another chance. Elizabeth commented on how well Ewen and Patrick seemed to be hitting it off. Anna sought out Luke and told him about her trip to Ferncliff. Luke told Anna that Heather was playing games and that Anna should not let Heather do that. Anna said that despite not finding Robin, she had felt waves of anxiety rolling off the nurse she had met. She showed Luke the brochure about the Swiss clinic. Anna said it had been lying on the floor as if someone had been in a hurry to leave. Luke urged Anna to drop her investigation, but Anna said that she had to go to Switzerland and investigate if there was even the slightest possibility that Robin could still be alive.

8/1 In Patrick's hospital room, Patrick slept as Ewen confessed that he'd had no choice; Ewen had needed to take Robin away from Patrick. "What did you say?" Lulu asked from the doorway. Lulu wanted to know how Ewen had taken Robin away from Patrick. Ewen led Lulu into the hallway, where he sternly reminded her that Patrick was in a hospital, not a hotel. Ewen insisted that Lulu couldn't simply barge in on Patrick whenever she pleased. Lulu quickly apologized as she explained that she had simply wanted to check on Patrick. Ewen explained his remark about Robin by revealing that Patrick hadn't had any hallucinations about Robin because of the drug withdrawals. Lulu accepted the lie. Ewen assured Lulu that he was confident that Patrick would recover because Patrick had told Elizabeth about the substance abuse. Lulu realized that it was a good sign because it meant that Patrick was no longer in denial.

After Lulu left, Ewen returned to Patrick's hospital room. Patrick was awake, so Ewen explained that they would have to deal with Patrick's grief, but first Ewen wanted Patrick to focus on knowing that Patrick would get through the pain of losing Robin.

Patrick wondered how Ewen could be so certain, so Ewen admitted that he had been through it himself when he had lost someone close to him. Patrick invited Ewen to talk to him about it, but Ewen declined. Ewen reminded Patrick that they were doctor and patient, so Ewen didn't want his personal history to distract from that. However, Ewen wanted Patrick to know that Patrick had a future ahead of him. Patrick agreed to take Ewen's word for it. Ewen promised that it was true and then confided that Ewen's relationship with Elizabeth was proof. Later, Ewen's phone rang. He advised Patrick to rest and then left the room. Ewen found a private corner to answer the call. Ewen reminded the caller that he had told the caller not to contact him on that line. "Fine, fine. You're the boss," Ewen replied when the caller scolded him. Ewen confirmed that Robin had been safely transferred to a clinic in Switzerland and that Anna had no idea. Moments later, Elizabeth rounded the corner.

8/2 At the hospital, Ewen spoke on his cell phone. He assured the caller that no one knew that they were working together. Seconds later, Elizabeth rounded the corner. Ewen quickly ended the call as he admitted that he hadn't seen her. Elizabeth was not surprised, given what he had just told the caller. Ewen explained that he had been talking to a patient who was a celebrity. Ewen claimed that the patient had been referred to him. Elizabeth appreciated that Ewen couldn't tell her the identity of the patient because of doctor/patient confidentiality, but she was curious if he could tell her how Patrick was doing. Ewen explained that Patrick's addiction wasn't too severe, because Patrick hadn't been using amphetamines for long. Elizabeth warned Ewen that Patrick would have a more difficult time giving up Robin, because his grief allowed Patrick to hold on to Robin. Ewen confessed that he felt guilty where Patrick was concerned. Elizabeth insisted that Ewen had no reason to feel that way, because Ewen was trying to help Patrick. Elizabeth explained that Patrick had to get his footing. Ewen appreciated the support, so he invited Elizabeth out to lunch.

8/3 Jerry Jacks entered the parlor. Ewen assured Jerry that Robin had been transferred to a clinic in Switzerland. Jerry wondered what Robin's mental state was, so Ewen explained that she was semi-lucid and had no idea where she was. Ewen assured Jerry that Anna had dismissed Heather's claims as the ranting of a lunatic. Jerry was pleased and grateful for everything that Ewen had done. Jerry insisted that Ewen's unfettered access to the hospital had made it possible for Jerry and Jerry's men to get into the lab and smuggle Robin out. Jerry also appreciated that Ewen had provided the anonymous corpse to plant in the lab. Ewen reminded Jerry that Maxie blamed herself for Robin's death, but Jerry didn't care, because the lab explosion had required careful planning. Ewen felt bad because Robin's family was grieving for a woman who was alive. Jerry pointed out that it could have been worse; they could have killed Robin. Jerry thought that it was ironic that Patrick had turned to one of the few people who knew that Robin was alive for help. Ewen didn't know how Patrick could be expected to move on from such a tragic loss. "Yeah, I know. It's sad, isn't it?" Jerry replied. Jerry wondered how many people had seen Robin, and if anything could connect the mystery patient at the clinic to Robin. "Nothing," Ewen assured Jerry.

8/9 At Wyndemere, Ewen reminded Jerry that Patrick was suffering, but Jerry didn't care, because Robin's kidnapping had been crucial to a "transaction." Ewen argued that Robin was an innocent woman. Jerry merely chuckled, because innocent people were easy to manipulate. In Patrick's hospital room, Elizabeth revealed that she had just dropped Emma off at the hospital's daycare center. She admitted that Emma was eager to see Patrick, but Mac and Felicia had kept Emma busy. Patrick couldn't wait to get home. Elizabeth assured Patrick that it would be soon, because his vital signs were stable. Patrick realized that he still had his addiction, and the cause of it, to deal with. He explained that he would have to accept that Robin was gone, because, according to Elizabeth's Dr. Keenan, it was the only way for Patrick to be healthy.

"My Dr. Keenan?" Elizabeth asked. "That's what he is, isn't he?" Patrick replied. Patrick admitted that he knew that Elizabeth had given Ewen a second chance. Patrick appreciated Elizabeth's friendship, so he insisted that she deserved to be with someone like Ewen, instead of pining for a guy who wasn't available. Elizabeth realized that Patrick was referring to Jason, so she clarified that she and Jason were just friends. She refused to apologize for that.

Patrick knew that he didn't have a right to interfere in Elizabeth's life, but he hoped that Jason wouldn't be a factor in what happened between her and Ewen. Elizabeth explained that she and Jason would always share a connection, because of Jake, so Jason would always be a part of her life. She hoped that Ewen could accept that. Ewen entered and wondered what they had been talking about, so Patrick admitted that he had been encouraging Elizabeth to date Ewen. Ewen thanked Patrick for the support, so Patrick suggested that Ewen could repay him by giving Patrick the clearance to go home. Ewen wanted Patrick to stay one more night in the hospital, but he asked Elizabeth to get the discharge paperwork started. After Elizabeth left, Ewen wondered if Patrick and Elizabeth had talked about Jason. Patrick assured Ewen that Elizabeth had made it clear that Jason wouldn't pose a problem. Ewen was relieved, so Patrick asked if it would be okay to visit Emma in the daycare center.

8/15 At the hospital, Epiphany paid Patrick a visit as he prepared to go home. Patrick revealed that Ewen had arranged for Patrick to continue treatment through outpatient counseling. Epiphany was pleased, so she broached the subject of the drugs that Patrick had stolen. Epiphany reminded Patrick that she had nearly fired someone for the theft, but Patrick assured her that he wouldn't have let that happen. Patrick was prepared to face the consequences for the things that he had done, so he wouldn't try to change Epiphany's mind if she decided to tell Monica about the stolen drugs. Epiphany was furious that Patrick had lied to her countless times and had operated on patients while he had been under the influence.

Patrick clarified that he had only felt in control when he had been in the operating room, so he had never taken amphetamines prior to surgery. However, he realized that he had let everyone down. Epiphany agreed not to tell Monica about the theft, but she warned Patrick that she would report him if she suspected that Patrick had relapsed. Patrick didn't know what he would do without his work, so he appreciated Epiphany's faith in him. Epiphany warned Patrick that it wouldn't be easy, but he had friends who wanted to help him, including her. Patrick recalled that Epiphany had disliked him when they had first met. Epiphany agreed that she'd had a low opinion of him in the beginning, but he was a brilliant doctor, so she had grown to respect him. Epiphany urged him to talk to her if he needed a friend. Patrick assured her that he didn't intend to relapse.

Patrick explained that he had used drugs because he couldn't figure out how to go on without Robin. Patrick conceded that Elizabeth, Maxie, and Matt had helped him out in numerous ways, but Robin's death had left a massive hole in his life. However, he was determined to let his wife rest in peace. Later, Epiphany returned to Patrick's hospital room with Emma in tow. Patrick opened his arms as Emma ran to her father. After Epiphany left, Patrick hoisted Emma onto the bed to explain that he had been sick. "Will you die like Mommy?" Emma nervously asked. Patrick assured his daughter that he wouldn't leave her. He realized that Emma missed her mother, so he promised Emma that Robin was watching over them. Patrick suggested that he and Emma focus on the good times that they had shared with Robin and remind each other of those times when things became difficult. Emma agreed. Emma smiled with delight when Patrick offered to take her to Kelly's for an ice cream sundae.

8/24 In Lucerne, Switzerland, Luke prowled around a sanitarium, looking for Anna. A woman in a while lab coat spotted Luke, so she asked him if he needed help. Luke introduced himself as Dr. Reik Von Schemerman, so the woman revealed that she was Dr. Obrecht. Luke showed Dr. Obrecht a picture of Anna as he asked if the doctor recognized the woman in the photo. Dr. Obrecht revealed that a woman fitting Anna's description had been admitted. Luke explained that the woman suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and was his patient, so he wanted to see her. Dr. Obrecht warned Luke that the patient had escaped several times and had been found wandering around the sanitarium, so they had been forced to sedate her. Luke hid his surprise when Dr. Obrecht opened the door to Anna's room. Anna had been restrained in a straitjacket and appeared to be catatonic. Luke asked to have some time alone with his patient, so Dr. Obrecht left. Luke anxiously examined Anna, but she quickly eased his fears when she smiled at him. Luke helped Anna out of the straitjacket as she filled him in on how she had managed to get herself admitted to the sanitarium. Luke wondered if Anna had found Robin. Anna revealed that she suspected that Robin was in a heavily guarded area of the sanitarium. Anna realized that Luke didn't believe that Robin was alive, but Anna felt obligated to search for her daughter, even if she might be chasing a ghost. Luke explained that he believed in Anna, even though Heather had a knack for ferreting out a person's weakness and exploiting it. However, Luke was determined to help Anna. Moments later, Luke and Anna heard someone jingling keys on the other side of the door, so Anna jumped back into bed as Dr. Obrecht entered the room. Luke announced that it was in his patient's best interest to remain in the sanitarium, so he wanted to review her charts. Dr. Obrecht led Luke to her office. Anna waited until they were gone, and then slipped out of the room. Anna made her way to the heavily guarded area of the sanitarium where a woman was being kept in a locked room. Anna picked the lock and entered the room. "Robin?" Anna asked as she looked at the patient in the bed.

At the hospital, Patrick drank some water and then left Anna a message to let Anna know that Emma had a dance recital later that week. Patrick revealed that Emma was playing the Rosebud princess, who had an English accent, so it would mean a lot to Emma if Anna attended the event. After Patrick ended the call, he went to Olivia's hospital room. Patrick assured Steve and Olivia that there wasn't anything physiologically wrong Olivia. Steve was concerned about Olivia's hallucinations, but Patrick assured Steve that it was a good sign that they had decreased in frequency. Steve handed Olivia a glass of water while he talked to Patrick. Olivia began to scream in horror when she looked at the contents of the glass. Steve and Patrick became concerned when Olivia explained that the toxic water appeared green. Patrick decided to call Ewen. A short time later, Ewen arrived to check on Olivia. Olivia became hysterical when she saw Ewen because his face appeared distorted. Ewen tried to ease Olivia's fears, to no avail. Terrified, she accused Ewen of being the devil out to steal her soul. Steve tried to calm Olivia down while Ewen and Patrick left the room. Ewen was rattled by the encounter, so Patrick reminded Ewen that Ewen was a good man and that Elizabeth agreed. Ewen warned Patrick that Olivia couldn't be released from the hospital in the state that she was in. Ewen explained that General Hospital could only do so much for Olivia, so if she didn't improve soon, they would have to transfer her to Shadybrook.

Later, Jason approached the nurses' station to talk to Patrick. Jason revealed that it concerned Robin.

8/27 At a Swiss clinic, Luke posed as Dr. Von Schemerman to cover Anna's search for Robin. Anna entered a padded room and thought that she had found Robin, but the patient was revealed to be a look-alike. Anna was devastated when Luke arrived with the female psychiatrist, Dr. Obrecht, who had discovered Luke's ruse and appeared to be sympathetic to Anna's inquiry. Dr. Obrecht showed Anna documentation that proved that the look-alike patient had been transferred from Ferncliff. Alone, Anna told Luke that Heather had gotten to her. Luke said that the look-alike patient had been at Ferncliff so it was likely that Heather had seen that patient and thought that she was Robin. Anna said that she was ready to give up and go home but that she had had to look. Luke agreed that he would have done the same if it had been his child.

As they prepared to leave town, Luke and Anna joked about the private plane that Tracy had loaned Luke to help out. Dr. Obrecht stopped them. She said that Anna had committed fraud against the clinic and had broken Swiss law. Luke made a pervasive argument that it would be better for the clinic not to have to endure the publicity that would follow Anna's arrest. Dr. Obrecht agreed after Anna apologized. Anna and Luke left the clinic and headed back to Port Charles. After Luke and Anna were gone, Dr. Obrecht told an unidentified gentleman that it had to have been very hard for him to witness Anna's sorrow. She also told him that he had moved Robin just in time, or Anna would surely have found her. When the man's face was shown, he was revealed to be Duke Lavery, a husband and lover from Anna's past. In Port Charles, Jerry accessed all the television channels and announced that he was back from the dead with news that would impact all of Port Charles.

Jason went to General Hospital to see Patrick. Jason asked Patrick if there was any connection between Jerry Jacks and Robin. Patrick demanded to know why it mattered, since both were dead. Jason recalled for Patrick that Jerry had injected Nikolas with a poison and then denied the antidote until Nikolas bowed to Jerry's blackmail. Jason reminded Patrick that Nikolas had been saved when Robin, assisted by Patrick, had synthesized the antidote. Jason said he thought that Jerry Jax might still be alive. As Patrick considered the possibility, a nurse told them to watch the TV. Jerry told his TV audience that he was responsible for injecting Josslyn and Alexis and making them sick. Jerry said that he had not been trying to hurt them but had been doing a good deed instead. He added that a confederate had helped him and had taken Josslyn. Jerry said that he wanted to make sure that Josslyn and Alexis would be safe during what was about to transpire in Port Charles. As a personal aside to Alexis, Jerry said that it had been wonderful to see her at Wyndemere, even if she did not remember. Jerry asked Josslyn and Alexis to forgive him for the bad night they had both gone through, but added that it had been necessary to inoculate them for survival. Jerry started coughing and was forced to stop talking and walk away.

Once back on camera, Jerry told Port Charles that only Josslyn and Alexis would survive what was going to happen. Jerry told his audience that his henchmen had introduced a pathogen into the water supply during the early morning hours and that it would kill every Port Charles resident. Jerry said that it was already too late for those who had been in contact with tap water that morning, either by consuming it, as in coffee or tea, or using it for bathing or brushing their teeth. Jerry continued that the effects would begin being felt within 24 to 48 hours, and after that, everyone would be dead. Jerry added that people could save themselves with a very expensive antibiotic serum, but before he explained how, the TV screens around Port Charles went to white noise. At GH, as soon as Jerry mentioned a confederate, Jason was convinced that it was Ewen. Patrick listened to Jerry and worried about Emma. Jason worried that Elizabeth was with Ewen and asked Patrick to check on Elizabeth on his way home to be with Emma. Patrick agreed, and Jason hurried off.

8/28 At the Webber residence, Ewen grabbed Elizabeth in a desperate attempt to make her understand that he wasn't involved with Jerry. Patrick appeared in the doorway and ordered Ewen to release Elizabeth. Ewen quickly dropped his hands and took a step back as Patrick advanced into the living room. Patrick stood between Ewen and Elizabeth as he confronted Ewen about Elizabeth's concerns that Ewen might be involved with Jerry. Ewen accused Jason of putting ideas into Elizabeth's head. Ewen reminded Patrick of Patrick's warning about Jason, and Patrick's personal experience with Jason. Ewen wondered if Jason had gotten to Patrick too. Patrick immediately backed down and apologized. Patrick admitted that he might have overreacted after seeing Jerry's broadcast. Elizabeth wanted an answer to her earlier question about Ewen's curious statement about Jerry. Ewen gave a flimsy excuse about only knowing Jerry from the things that he had read about the infamous Jerry Jacks. Patrick suggested that Ewen leave so that Patrick could talk to Elizabeth privately. Ewen reluctantly agreed.

Moments later, Ewen stood on the front porch and placed a call to Jerry, but the call went to voicemail. Ewen was furious that he had been dragged into the middle of Jerry's mess. Ewen had no idea what do to next. Inside the house, Patrick revealed that Jason had expressed concerns about Ewen. Elizabeth felt terrible because she doubted Ewen, but she conceded that Ewen's remarks had raised alarms. Patrick and Elizabeth were unaware that Ewen had slipped into the house and was lurking around the corner, eavesdropping on their conversation. Patrick and Elizabeth agreed that they needed to contact the police, so Elizabeth decided to call Dante. She froze when she spotted Ewen standing in the doorway, wielding a bat. "I thought you'd believe me," Ewen quietly said as Elizabeth's eyes rounded with fear. Later, Jason entered Elizabeth's house. He became concerned when he noticed signs of a struggle. Moments later, Jason spotted Patrick's unconscious body on the living room floor.

8/29 At the Webber residence, Jason became alarmed when he realized that there had been a struggle in Elizabeth's house. His concern grew when he spotted Patrick's unconscious body on the living room floor. Jason went to Patrick's aid as Patrick slowly opened his eyes. Patrick accused Ewen of attacking him with a baseball bat and snatching Elizabeth. Jason called Dante to report the kidnapping, and then decided to call for an ambulance. Patrick argued that the hospital would be too busy treating people who had been exposed to the pathogen that Jerry had put in the water. Patrick insisted that he was fine, so he wanted to focus on finding Elizabeth.

A short time later, Dante arrived. Jason and Patrick filled Dante in on what they knew, so Dante issued an APB for Ewen. Jason was concerned about Elizabeth because it was clear that Ewen didn't care about her, since she had been exposed to deadly water like everyone else. Jason was certain that Jerry would know where Ewen had taken Elizabeth, so Dante returned to the police station to question Jerry. Dante's phone rang. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed that the town's water had been tainted with a deadly pathogen, for which there was no known cure. "How sick is that?" Patrick asked, continuing, "For the first time, Jerry is telling the truth."

8/30 In Lucerne, Switzerland, Anna woke up crying from a dream about Robin. Luke assumed that it had been a nightmare, so Anna revealed that it had been a wonderful dream about Anna finding Robin at the sanitarium. Anna tearfully confessed that she had finally accepted that Robin was gone. Anna then changed the subject to reveal that she had received a voicemail message from Patrick about Emma's dance recital, so Anna was ready to go home. Anna admitted that she hadn't told Patrick or Robert about Heather's claims that Robin was alive.

At the hospital, Patrick left Jason a voicemail message, asking Jason to call with an update about Ewen and Elizabeth. Jax, Carly, and Josslyn walked up in time to hear Patrick's message. Jax and Carly wanted to know what had happened, so Patrick told them that Ewen had attacked him and kidnapped Elizabeth. Jax and Carly were horrified. They all agreed that they couldn't afford to wait for Jerry or Ewen to hand over the cure, so Patrick revealed that he had asked Jax and Carly to stop by because Patrick needed a sample of Josslyn's blood. Patrick hoped that Josslyn and Alexis' blood could lead them to a cure. After Jax and Carly took Josslyn to a room to have her blood drawn, Patrick admitted that he had doubts about his ability to find a cure in time. Epiphany suggested that Patrick ask himself if he was man enough to follow in his wife's footsteps. Later, Carly cringed as she noticed the sick people flooding the waiting area. Patrick promised Carly that Josslyn's donation had been invaluable. Carly wondered how Emma was doing. Patrick admitted that his daughter was symptom-free.

9/5 Patrick stood at the entrance to the newly rebuilt lab as memories of his final moments with Robin, before the explosion, ran though his mind. Maxie called out to Patrick as she approached. Patrick feared that Emma might be sick, so Maxie quickly assured him that Emma was fine and playing in the daycare center. Patrick relaxed and thanked Maxie for all that she had done for him and Emma. Maxie's eyes filled with tears as she looked at the lab. Patrick warned Maxie that it wasn't the time, because people were counting on him to find a cure for the pathogen. Maxie straightened her shoulders as she followed him into the lab. Patrick revealed that he and Robin had once developed an antidote for a chemical toxin that Jerry had given to Nikolas, which had had similar symptoms to the pathogen that Jerry had put into the town's water supply. Patrick hoped to replicate the antidote in the hopes of using it to combat the pathogen that Jerry had poisoned the town with. However, Patrick couldn't decipher Robin's handwriting. Maxie confessed that there had been a time that she had copied several of Robin's English papers for school, so Maxie could easily decipher Robin's handwriting.

Later, Patrick thanked Maxie for not giving up on him when he had struggled with amphetamines. He appreciated that Maxie had taken care of Emma when he couldn't. Maxie insisted that it would never be enough, so Patrick urged Maxie to let her guilt go because Robin's tragic death was not Maxie's fault. Later, Steve entered the lab to let Patrick know that Ewen had been shot. Patrick was curious how Elizabeth was doing. Steve assured Patrick that Elizabeth was fine, but Ewen had asked for Patrick. Patrick didn't care, so Steve explained that Ewen was dying. Ewen's breathing was labored as Patrick entered the examination room. Ewen explained that he wanted to apologize, so Patrick made it clear that he despised Ewen for hurting Elizabeth. Ewen clarified that it was about Robin, but his heart gave out before he could elaborate.

9/7 At the nurses' station, Elizabeth asked Patrick how Ewen was doing. Elizabeth was saddened when Patrick revealed that Ewen had died. Patrick was curious if Elizabeth recalled Ewen ever talking about Robin. Elizabeth wondered why Patrick had asked. Patrick told her that Ewen had died saying Robin's name. Elizabeth was surprised because she only remembered Ewen talking about Robin in the context of Patrick's grief. Elizabeth assured Patrick that Ewen had seemed to genuinely want to help Patrick. However, she conceded that she was probably the wrong person to ask, since Ewen had been keeping secrets from her. Patrick appreciated that he should be focused on the sick patients, but he wanted to know what Ewen had been trying to tell him. Patrick and Elizabeth entered the examination room. Patrick checked Sam for signs of a head injury, while Elizabeth told Jason that he would have to wait a few more hours for a doctor to remove the bullet from his leg. Sam watched as Elizabeth asked if Jason was in pain. Jason assured Elizabeth that he was fine, but Elizabeth offered to get him pain medication, if he needed it.

Patrick gained Sam's attention by shinning a penlight in her eyes. Meanwhile, Elizabeth told Jason that Ewen had died. "Well, at least you're safe," Jason replied. Patrick was furious that Ewen had deceived everyone. Elizabeth revealed that Ewen had denied any knowledge of Jerry's plan to put the pathogen in the water. Patrick quietly admitted they were all getting progressively sicker, so Jerry's warning about the pathogen had been true. Jason changed the subject by asking Patrick to pull Sam's son's medical records. Patrick revealed that it wasn't necessary because they were part of Sam's patient file. Sam was surprised when Jason asked Patrick to explain why Sam's son had died. Patrick checked the records and explained that the baby's lungs had not been fully developed, so the baby had died of respiratory failure. Jason was curious if the baby could have been saved if the newborn had been put on a ventilator. Patrick explained that nothing could have been done to save the infant because the baby's lungs had been too weak. Patrick handed the file to Elizabeth before he took Sam to radiology. Elizabeth reiterated that the baby's death had not been Sam or Jason's fault. Jason asked to see the file, so Elizabeth handed it to him. Jason immediately spotted a discrepancy. He explained that Sam and Franco had O-positive blood types, but the baby's blood type had been AB-negative. Elizabeth agreed that it was impossible for two O-positive parents to have an AB-negative child, but she was certain that it was a clerical error. "What if the baby who died wasn't Sam's?" Jason asked.

9/11 Patrick surveyed the crowed emergency room until he spotted Steve at the nurses' station. Patrick was looking for Monica, so he wondered if Steve had seen her. Steve shook his head but agreed to let Monica know if Steve ran into her. Monica and Tracy were stunned when Patrick suddenly appeared in the doorway and announced that he might have the cure in his hand. Patrick explained that he had been able to isolate the antibodies that Tracy's immune system had generated. He had developed an antiserum, which he had tested. The antiserum had worked, but it had taken hours to develop, so he only had one dose left. Joe entered the room in time to hear Patrick's news, so he was curious who would get the antiserum. Patrick handed the vial of antiserum to Monica, so that the chief of staff could decide who would get it.

Later, Edward arrived at the hospital. He saw Emma sitting with Patrick, as an orderly pushed Edward's wheelchair to an examination room. In the waiting area, Patrick held his ailing daughter. Emma was curious when she would get better. Patrick promised Emma that it would be soon, so Emma wondered if Patrick was sick too. "A little bit," Patrick admitted. Emma quietly asked if they would get to see her mommy if they didn't get better. "I hope so," Patrick answered. Monica spotted Patrick, so she asked him if he had seen Tracy. She explained that Tracy had stolen the vial of antiserum from her office.

Monica was furious when she saw Tracy, but Tracy warned Monica to be quiet and then approached Patrick. Tracy explained that Edward wanted Emma to have the cure. Patrick explained that he couldn't accept the vial because of the hospital's protocol. Tracy argued that she had stolen the antiserum, so it belonged to her and therefore, they were playing by Quartermaine rules. Patrick turned to Monica for help, but Monica insisted that she had no idea what they were talking about and walked away. Patrick accepted the vial and carried Emma to the examination room, so that Edward could see Emma through the window. Meanwhile, Tracy followed Monica to the elevator. Tracy admitted that she would always be grateful for how well Monica had always treated Edward. Monica held back tears as she wondered if Tracy was feeling okay.

After Monica walked away, Tracy returned to Patrick's side. Patrick looked at Edward to make certain that Edward wanted Emma to have the antiserum. Edward gave Patrick the thumbs-up, so Patrick instructed Emma to drink the antiserum. Edward smiled. Tracy looked at her father with love as she confided to Patrick that Edward had always hated it when Tracy became emotional. According to Tracy, Edward didn't have any room for sadness in his life. Her father had lived a long good life, filled with laughter, adventure, happiness, love, and good fortune. There had been pain, loss, sadness, and regret, but Edward wouldn't have changed a thing. Tracy explained that if it was Edward's time, then her father would be reunited with the woman he loved: Lila.

9/19 At the hospital, a new nurse named Sabrina recited the names of the doctors on staff. Epiphany assured Sabrina that she was not expected to know everyone right away, so Sabrina should focus on her job. Moments later, Dr. Britt Westbourne handed Epiphany a stack of files and asked who had written the notes on the charts. Sabrina took responsibility, so Britt ordered Sabrina to do it over, because the handwriting hadn't been legible. After Britt walked away, Epiphany explained that the doctors needed to be able to read the charts, so she handed the files to Sabrina. Sabrina started to walk away with the stack of files, but bumped into Patrick. The files scattered to the ground, so Patrick helped Sabrina pick them up. Sabrina stammered her apologies for not paying attention, but froze when she got her first real look at Patrick. Patrick wondered if Sabrina was okay, so she quickly introduced herself. Patrick smiled as he handed her the last of the files. After Patrick walked away, Sabrina asked Epiphany about Patrick. Epiphany shrewdly eyed Sabrina as she revealed that Patrick Drake was a neurosurgeon on staff.

A short time later, Sabrina saw Britt ask Patrick for a consult. Sabrina decided to pump Epiphany for information about Patrick, so Epiphany told Sabrina about Robin's tragic death and revealed that Patrick and Robin had a young daughter. Epiphany talked about what a sweet family the Drakes had been and then explained that Patrick and Emma were still putting their lives back together. Meanwhile, Britt thanked Patrick for his help, so she offered to buy him dinner. Patrick realized that she was asking him out. Britt admitted that she had overheard that he was single, so he confessed that he hadn't been out on a date since his wife had died. Britt immediately apologized because she hadn't realized that Patrick was a widower.

At the nurses' station, Epiphany figured out that Sabrina had a crush on Patrick, so she warned Sabrina that Patrick was still in mourning. Sabrina wished that she could help Patrick. "I bet you do," Epiphany replied knowingly. Sabrina conceded that Patrick was a "gorgeous" man, but insisted that she hadn't meant it the way that Epiphany had taken it. Epiphany didn't believe Sabrina. Moments later, Patrick walked up to ask Sabrina for a favor. "Anything," Sabrina replied. Epiphany rolled her eyes, but Patrick didn't seem to notice as he explained that he had a young patient close to Sabrina's age who was nervous about having surgery. The young lady was a huge fan of Katy Perry, so Patrick had promised to make certain that his patient woke up from surgery to one of Katy Perry's songs.

Sabrina confessed that she loved Katy Perry too. Patrick smiled with relief because he was not familiar with any of the singer's songs, so he wondered if Sabrina had any ideas about what song to pick. Sabrina named a few, and then decided that "Firework" would be best because it was about how special a person was. Sabrina held out an earbud so that Patrick could listen to the song on her iPod. Patrick and Sabrina were listening to the song when Britt approached the nurses' station. Britt bristled at seeing Patrick and Sabrina together, so she asked Sabrina to check on a patient. Epiphany wanted Sabrina to focus on the files, so Epiphany went instead. Patrick thanked Sabrina for her help because the song had been a perfect choice. Britt was curious what song Patrick had been referring to, so Patrick told her. Britt smiled brightly as she confessed that she loved the feel-good song. Patrick surprised Britt when he shifted gears by accepting her invitation to dinner. Sabrina was crestfallen when she overheard Patrick.

9/21 At the nurses' station, Sabrina daydreamed about Patrick offering to whisk her away but returned to reality when Patrick called out her name. He had noticed that Sabrina had been working on a huge stack of files, so he hoped that Sabrina wouldn't have to work too late. Sabrina confessed that she wasn't in a hurry to leave, because she had a lot of studying to do. Patrick advised Sabrina to take some time to relax, so Sabrina was curious if he ever relaxed. Britt walked up in time to hear the exchange, so she assured Sabrina that Patrick would get to relax when Britt and Patrick went to dinner later that evening. Patrick reminded Sabrina to have some fun before hitting the books and then left. Sabrina confessed that Patrick was a very nice man. Britt agreed. Later, Britt handed Sabrina another thick stack of files to work on, and then left to shower and change before her date with Patrick. Sabrina indulged in a fantasy of Patrick choosing her over Britt. Sabrina's daydream evaporated when Britt returned to pile more work on Sabrina.

At the Chinese restaurant, Mr. Yi glanced up in time to see Patrick enter, so he jumped up to fetch Patrick's carry-out order. Patrick was curious why Maxie had been so hard on Mr. Yi, so Maxie explained that she hoped to impress Kate with the wedding plans so that Kate would reinstate Maxie as her assistant if Todd agreed to publish Crimson again with Kate at the helm. Maxie suddenly realized that she had promised to babysit Emma that evening, so she apologized that she had to bail on Patrick, because Maxie only had a few days to put the wedding together. Patrick assured Maxie that it was fine because he had been nervous about going out on a date. "Date? You were going to go on a date?" Maxie asked, stunned. Maxie offered to change her plans, but Patrick insisted that it wasn't necessary.

At the hospital, Patrick called out to Anna when he spotted her at the nurses' station. Anna was delighted to see him. After a warm hug, she confessed that she had been relieved that they had survived the deadly pathogen, so Patrick revealed that Emma would have been okay regardless, because Edward had given Emma the last dose of life-saving serum that Patrick had developed. Anna confessed that she would be forever indebted to Edward for the selfless sacrifice. Anna regretted that she hadn't been there for Patrick and Emma during the crisis, but Patrick argued that she couldn't have known what would happen. Patrick asked about her trip, so Anna explained that she couldn't talk about it. After Anna promised to catch up with Patrick and Emma later, Patrick tracked down Britt to explain that he had to cancel their date because he didn't have a babysitter for Emma. Britt was confident that they could find a babysitter, as her eyes landed on Sabrina. Britt asked Sabrina to babysit for Patrick, but Patrick wasn't comfortable with the idea because he didn't know Sabrina very well. Britt assured him that children loved Sabrina, because she had seen Sabrina interact with children in the pediatric ward. Patrick didn't want to impose, but Sabrina assured him that she wouldn't mind.

9/25 At the Drake residence, Patrick called Britt to let her know that he was running late, so he wondered if it would be okay to meet her at the Floating Rib. Britt agreed, so Patrick ended the call just as the doorbell rang. Sabrina dropped the stack of books in her arms when a shirtless Patrick opened the door. Patrick apologized for startling her, but Sabrina assured him that he hadn't done anything wrong. Patrick admitted that he'd had difficulty deciding which shirt to wear, so he asked for Sabrina's help. Sabrina pointed to one of the shirts as she explained that she liked it best because it matched his eyes, which were beautiful. Sabrina realized what she had said, so she quickly explained that she had meant that the shirt was beautiful. Patrick didn't seem to notice Sabrina's embarrassment as he went to the bedroom to finish getting dressed.

A short time later, he returned with Emma in tow. Emma was shy as Patrick introduced her to Sabrina. Emma wondered where Patrick was going, so Patrick revealed that he had plans to take a fellow doctor to dinner because the doctor was new at the hospital. Emma wanted Maxie to stay with her, but Patrick explained that Maxie was busy. Patrick let Sabrina know that there was food in the refrigerator and then said his goodbyes. After Patrick left, Emma ran to her bedroom.

At the hospital, Britt struck up a conversation with Elizabeth as they waited for the elevator. Britt confided that she had a hot date, so Elizabeth smiled politely and commented that it must be nice. Britt couldn't believe that a pretty girl like Elizabeth didn't have a man in her life. Elizabeth confessed that she'd had one, but things hadn't worked out. Britt confessed that she knew that Dr. Keenan had tried to kill Elizabeth. Elizabeth quickly changed the subject by clarifying that she had been referring to someone else, but the man wasn't available. Britt advised Elizabeth to make it happen by going for it.

At the Floating Rib, Mac greeted Patrick and Britt. Patrick was surprised to see Mac, because Mac and Felicia were suppose to have been in Niagara Falls. Mac revealed that the plans had been cancelled because he had been asked to fill in for someone at the last minute. Mac was curious what Patrick and Britt were doing at the bar, so Britt admitted that she and Patrick were on a date. Patrick explained to Britt that Mac was Robin's uncle, so Britt immediately offered Mac her condolences. Mac offered to fetch Patrick and Britt something to drink, so they gave Mac their order. After Mac walked away, Patrick excused himself so that he could have a private word with Mac. At the bar, Mac assured Patrick that he wasn't upset to see Patrick out on a date. Mac was certain that Robin would be happy for Patrick because Robin would want Patrick to move on. Meanwhile, Britt took it upon herself to answer Patrick's cell phone when it rang. Sabrina explained that she needed to talk to Patrick because Emma was having a difficult time and wanted Patrick. Britt explained that it was Sabrina's job to distracted Emma, feed the little girl, and then put Emma to bed. Britt reminded Sabrina that Sabrina was the babysitter, so it was Sabrina's job to set limits. Afterwards, Britt disconnected the call.

At the Drake residence, Sabrina tried to cheer Emma up with a game of cards, but Emma wasn't interested in playing cards. Emma threw herself down on the sofa and cried for her father. At the Floating Rib, Mac served Patrick and Britt dinner. Mac promised to add more vegetarian fare to the menu as he handed Britt a large salad. After Mac walked away, Patrick apologized for not suggesting a more suitable place for a vegetarian. "Next time," Britt suggested with a sly smile. Later, Patrick's phone rang. It was Sabrina, calling to report that Emma had locked herself in a closet. Patrick assured Sabrina that he was on his way home and ended the call. He apologized to Britt for cutting their date short, but promised to see her at the hospital. Britt's strained smile disappeared as soon as Patrick left.

A short time later, Patrick arrived home. Sabrina felt terrible that Patrick's date had been cut short, but Patrick insisted that it was his fault for not properly preparing Emma for his evening plans. Sabrina assured Patrick that he was a wonderful father. Patrick went to the bedroom to talk to Emma. A short time later, he returned to the living room with Emma. Sabrina decided to fetch Emma and Patrick a snack, while Patrick coaxed a smile out of Emma. Patrick gently suggested that Emma apologize to Sabrina, because Emma had scared the young nurse. Moments later, Sabrina returned to the living room with two glasses of milk and chocolate syrup. Sabrina prepared a glass of chocolate milk for Emma, and then surprised her with a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies. Sabrina started to leave, but Emma invited Sabrina to stay. Sabrina didn't want to intrude, but Patrick insisted that Sabrina join them.

9/26 At the nurses' station, Patrick apologized to Sabrina for Emma's behavior the previous evening, but Sabrina assured him that it wasn't necessary. She was curious how Emma was doing, so Patrick confessed that his daughter had asked about Sabrina that morning. Meanwhile, Britt eavesdropped on Patrick and Sabrina's conversation as they talked about how much fun they'd had with Emma, drinking chocolate milk and eating cookies. Britt quickly made her presence known by claiming that she was happy that everything had worked out with Emma. Sabrina apologized to Britt for calling Patrick during his date with Britt, but Britt insisted that Sabrina had done the right thing. Patrick agreed and then announced that he had to check on a patient.

After Patrick left, Britt tore into Sabrina for not properly controlling Emma. Britt wondered how Sabrina could be trusted to look after Britt's patients if Sabrina couldn't handle a child. Britt suspected that Sabrina had intentionally sabotaged the date because Sabrina had a crush on Patrick. Sabrina denied that she had romantic feelings for Patrick, but Britt didn't believe her. Sabrina insisted that she wasn't Patrick's type and then left.

Later, Patrick invited Britt out for another date. Britt happily accepted and revealed that she was free that evening. Sabrina walked up as Patrick explained that he didn't have anyone to watch Emma. Britt was not pleased when Sabrina offered to babysit, so Britt suggested that they find someone else to watch Patrick's little girl. Patrick revealed that Emma had had a change of heart about Sabrina, so he was certain that Emma would enjoy spending time with Sabrina. Patrick finalized plans with Britt and Sabrina, and he left. Britt was furious as she demanded to know what Sabrina was up to. Sabrina fantasized about grabbing Britt's hair and yanking Britt's head back while blasting Britt for treating her badly. In the fantasy, Sabrina insisted that Britt had no right to berate her. Britt tearfully apologized and promised to make amends by taking over Sabrina's bedpan duties. "Hello. Are you listening to me?" Britt demanded, as Sabrina snapped out of the daydream. Sabrina explained that she had offered to babysit because she felt bad for ruining Britt's first date with Patrick. Britt made it clear that she didn't want any problems from Sabrina or Emma on the second date, and then she stomped off.

10/8 At the Swiss clinic where Anna had spent several days searching unsuccessfully for Robin, Duke Lavery sat beside a bed where Robin lay comatose. Duke held Robin's hand and recalled that she had been a bright, perceptive child. Duke blamed Heather Webber for hurting Anna because Heather had revealed seeing Robin at Ferncliff, and that had started Anna's fruitless search for Robin. Duke apologized for hurting Anna and promised to reunite mother and daughter. Duke swore to Robin that he had never intended any malice. Dr. Obrecht, who was standing by, called the Ferncliff doctors "incompetent," including the psychiatrist who had administered too high a dosage of electroshock treatment to Robin. Dr. Obrecht checked Robin's vital signs and told Duke that there had been no change. She added that the damage to Robin's brain could be irreversible. Duke continued his one-sided conversation with Robin.

Duke said that he understood how much mother and daughter missed each other but he was unable to get them together. Duke looked at a picture of Anna and said that he had a different kind of reunion in mind. As he looked at the photo, Duke murmured that circumstances had kept them apart, but circumstances had changed, and he could go back to Anna. Duke gazed at the photo and promised to mend Anna's broken heart. He added that everyone would soon know that Robin was alive, but the secret needed to be kept for a while longer.

Outside the room, Dr. Obrecht handed Duke a plane ticket and told him that a car was waiting. Duke told the doctor to take care of Robin. Dr. Obrecht said that she would do her best. When the doctor voiced concerns about Luke's feelings for Anna, Duke brushed them aside and said that he knew Anna's heart and was certain that Duke was the man she loved.

10/9 Anna was shocked when the intruder was revealed to be her husband, Duke Lavery, whom she believed had died twenty years earlier. Anna insisted that it wasn't possible, but Duke assured her that it was he. "Aren't you pleased to see me?" he asked. Anna kept her gun aimed at his chest as she demanded to know who he was. Duke acknowledged that he had changed a bit in appearance over the years, whereas Anna hadn't. Anna insisted that the real Duke had died in her arms two decades earlier. Duke argued that Jonathan Paget had died in Anna's arms, not Duke. Duke reminded Anna that Paget hadn't had Duke's face or voice, but he had managed to steal Duke's life, which Duke intended to reclaim. Duke conceded that Paget had been clever, because Paget had covered his tracks well. Anna wanted an explanation, so Duke revealed that he hadn't left the witness protection program willingly twenty years earlier.

According to Duke, Duke's enemies had found Duke, kidnapped him, and then had thrown him into a Turkish prison. Duke had been kept in isolation for a period of time until another prisoner had joined him. Anna realized that Jonathan Paget had been the prisoner. Duke nodded and continued with his tale. Duke explained that Paget had been a plant, who had worked for mobster Julian Jerome. Duke revealed that Paget had been instructed to learn everything about Duke, so that Paget could pass himself off as Duke. Anna couldn't understand what Julian had hoped to gain. Duke admitted that Julian had known that the knowledge that Anna was in the arms of an imposter was worse than death for Duke. "And he was right," Duke confessed. Anna desperately wanted the man before her to be Duke, but she couldn't trust him. Duke invited her to kiss him, because he was certain that a kiss would erase all doubts, but Anna refused.

Duke confessed that thoughts of Anna had given him the will to live, so he had been desperate to reunite with Anna and Robin. Anna's eyes filled with tears as she told Duke that Robin had been killed in an explosion similar to the blast that had supposedly killed Duke. Anna lowered the gun as she told Duke about her trip to Switzerland to find Robin. Duke insisted that he had loved Robin like a daughter, but Anna's temper flared. She ordered Duke to turn around because she intended to arrest him. Anna handcuffed Duke as Duke confessed that she had owned him from the first moment that they had met because he had lost his heart to her that night; he doubted that there was much chance that he would ever get it back. "And a love like that is pretty rare," Duke finished. Anna was stunned, because she recalled Duke saying those exact words to her two decade earlier. She realized that only Duke could have known that. Anna's eyes filled with tears of disbelief as Duke assured her that he remembered everything.Duke revealed that his and Anna's special moments together had sustained him. He had fought his way back to her because he had missed her and their life together. Anna reached out to touch Duke, in an effort to assure herself that he was real. Meanwhile, Duke kept talking about their past. Anna suddenly threw herself into Duke's arms as she cried with joy. Moments later, Luke entered her suite. "Slim?" Luke called out when he saw Anna in another man's arms. Luke's confusion turned to shock when Duke turned to face Luke.

10/12 Dr. Obrecht, the doctor from the clinic in Switzerland, was waiting when Duke entered his suite. Duke was happy to see her making herself at home. Dr. Obrecht smiled, so he asked her how Robin was doing. Dr. Obrecht had checked in with the clinic, so she was happy to report that Robin was well and had eaten. Duke admitted that it was a pleasant surprise. Dr. Obrecht was curious if his visit with Anna had been the same. Duke revealed that it had been a lot for Anna to take in, so she had been wary at first. He had managed to convince Anna that he was who he claimed he was, but then Luke had arrived. Duke complained that Luke had impeccable timing. Dr. Obrecht wasn't surprised that Luke had rocked the boat. Duke admitted that he had been glad when Anna had left, because it had given Duke the opportunity to ask Luke to bow out gracefully. However, Luke had refused, so Duke realized that he was going to have a fight on his hands. Duke was confident that whatever Anna felt for Luke didn't compare to what Duke and Anna had once shared. Dr. Obrecht reminded Duke that a lot of time had passed and that people changed, so Duke should be prepared for the possibility that Anna would choose Luke over Duke. Duke confessed that Anna was more beautiful than ever because the suffering and grief that she had experienced over the years had given her a depth of character that she hadn't had in the past. Duke claimed that his heart had melted when he had looked into her brown eyes. Dr. Obrecht wondered what Duke would do if Anna chose Luke. Duke thought that Dr. Obrecht, of all people, should appreciate what he was capable of. "Look at Robin," Duke added.

10/15 In the hospital, Patrick and Britt approached the nurses' station. They high-fived each other on the successful operation, as Britt commented that they made a great team. Patrick noticed the police officers running around, so he asked what was going on. Sabrina explained that there was a "crazy" woman on the roof with a baby. Concerned, Patrick asked who it was. "My mother" Steve said as he walked up. Steve revealed that Heather had slipped into the hospital to get medicine for a baby that she had kidnapped. Steve then explained that Heather had encountered Olivia in the stairwell, so a brief struggle had ensued, during which Olivia had taken a tumble down a flight of stairs. Steve assured everyone that Olivia was fine, but Heather had escaped to the roof with the baby, so Jason and Sam had followed her. Steve decided to go to the rooftop, but he bumped into Dante at the elevator. Everyone was stunned when Dante revealed that Heather had jumped. Steve raced to his mother's side as Patrick barked orders to prepare for the trauma and then instructed Sabrina to follow him as he headed to the ground floor. Britt appeared annoyed that Patrick had asked Sabrina to join him, not her. Dante stayed behind because he didn't trust himself to be near Heather until the desire to kill her had faded or Heather died. Heather was loaded onto a gurney, as Steve and Patrick arrived. Elizabeth tried to hold her brother back, but Steve fought his way to his mother's side. Anna wondered if Heather would survive and be fit for trial, but Patrick explained that it was too soon to tell. Moments later, Heather was rushed to an examination room. Elizabeth pulled her brother away so that Patrick could work on Heather. Heather was unconscious, so Patrick ordered a battery of tests, x-rays, and scans. Heather flatlined. Moments later, Patrick approached Steve. Patrick explained that Heather was stable, but she had a spinal injury and would need surgery immediately. Sabrina informed Patrick that Heather had regained consciousness, so Steve went to see his mother. Patrick noticed that Sabrina seemed troubled. He wondered if she was okay. "I think your wife is alive," Sabrina told him.

10/16 At the nurses' station, Patrick was curious what gave Sabrina the idea that Robin was alive. Sabrina confessed that she had overheard Heather talking to the police commissioner. Patrick dismissed it as the disturbed ramblings of a mentally ill woman, but Sabrina confessed that Anna hadn't seemed surprised by what Heather had said. Patrick spotted Anna, so he called out to her. Patrick confronted Anna about Heather's claims, so Sabrina took responsibility for telling Patrick. Anna asked to speak to Patrick privately, so Sabrina walked away. Anna admitted that she had gone to Switzerland to investigate Heather's claims, but it had been wishful thinking to believe that Robin was alive. Patrick demanded to know why Anna hadn't told him, so Anna explained that she hadn't wanted to upset Patrick. Patrick quietly confided that at night he still heard Robin calling out to him asking for help. Anna admitted that she did too. "Especially today," Anna added. Patrick agreed, because it was Robin's birthday. Patrick revealed that Emma had made Robin a card, and then had tied it to balloons so that they could send the card to Robin in Heaven. Anna smiled at her granddaughter's sweet gesture. Patrick confided that a year earlier, he had given Robin several plane tickets to various destinations around the world, but they had never had to chance to go on any of the trips. Anna smiled sadly and hugged Patrick. Meanwhile, Britt noticed Patrick talking to Anna, so she asked Sabrina what was going on. Sabrina explained that Patrick had just been told that his wife was still alive. "She's not, is she?" Britt anxiously wondered. Britt's temper flared when Sabrina confessed that she had told Patrick about Heather's claims. Later, Britt approached Patrick to ask if he was okay. Patrick quickly filled Britt in on what had happened and then walked away. Britt made a beeline to Sabrina to blast Sabrina for breaking Patrick's heart into a million pieces. Sabrina felt terrible and explained that she had never meant to upset him. Britt suggested that Sabrina show some sensitivity by thinking before she spoke. Moments later, Patrick passed them as he shrugged into his coat. Britt quickly offered to take Patrick home, so he accepted.

10/26 In the break room, Sabrina approached Ellie for a donation. Ellie was collecting money to send flowers to Dr. Quartermaine from the hospital staff. Ellie knew about Jason's disappearance because her boyfriend, Spinelli, had been Monica's son's best friend. Ellie admitted that Spinelli was beside himself with grief, as Ellie handed Sabrina a donation. Moments later, Patrick appeared in the doorway, demanding to know what Ellie was doing. Britt hovered in the background, watching avidly, as Patrick blasted Ellie for feeling sympathy for a murdering criminal. Elizabeth was stunned by Patrick's angry outburst, so she marched up to him to scold him for talking harshly to a well-meaning Sabrina. Patrick expected Elizabeth to confirm that everyone would have been better off if Jason had died months earlier, but Elizabeth refused. Britt asked to speak to Sabrina privately, so Sabrina scurried over to Britt. Britt snidely wondered what Sabrina had done to upset Patrick. Meanwhile, Elizabeth was shocked that Patrick would say such a heartless thing about Jason. She reminded Patrick that Robin would have sacrificed her life for any one of Robin's patients. Patrick complained that it had been a waste of effort to help Jason, because Jason hadn't appreciated the gift that he had been given. .,mkl; Sabrina was certain that Jason knew how much Elizabeth cared about him. Elizabeth took comfort in knowing that she had at least told Jason before it was too late. Elizabeth and Sabrina decided to get back to work but stopped short when they bumped into Patrick in the break room. Patrick immediately apologized to Elizabeth and Sabrina. "Thank you, Dr. Drake," Elizabeth frostily replied and left.

10/31 At the Drake residence, Maxie was delighted when Patrick and Emma entered the living room with a birthday cookie and candle for Maxie. They urged Maxie to make a wish and blow out her candle, so Maxie did. Afterwards, Maxie asked to see Emma's costume, so Emma dashed to her bedroom to change. Patrick was surprised when Maxie announced her decision to move out effective immediately. Maxie insisted that it wasn't healthy for her to keep avoiding living her own life. Patrick admitted that he had done the same thing, but he was curious if Maxie's decision to move out had something to do with Spinelli. Maxie explained that Spinelli had moved on with a nice girl, who seemed better suited for Spinelli. However, Maxie wanted Spinelli to know that she was serious about the divorce, so moving out was a good decision. Later, Maxie questioned Patrick's relationship with Britt. Patrick explained that Britt was just a colleague, but Maxie assured him that it was okay to like someone, because Robin would want him to date. Maxie also believed that Emma would want a woman in her life, so the sooner that Patrick started, the better. Patrick insisted that he was nowhere near ready for that step.

Dvd #17B Outside of Kelly’s, Duke pretended to be surprised when he saw Emma, dressed as a princess. "Robin?" Duke asked. Patrick's brows drew together, as he questioned what Duke had said. Duke claimed that Emma reminded him of another little girl he had once known named Robin Scorpio. Emma proudly revealed that Robin was her mother, so Duke introduced himself. Patrick recognized the name and admitted that he'd heard about Duke's astounding story. Moments later, Anna spotted Patrick and Emma. Emma ran to the counter to get some candy from Shawn, while Patrick told Anna and Luke about his encounter with Duke. Patrick confessed that Duke had seemed like a nice guy with a lot of fond memories about Robin. Anna smiled and suggested that she and Patrick step outside to take pictures of Emma's costume. Patrick and Emma returned home. Emma was sound asleep, so Patrick laid her down on the sofa. Moments later, Maxie entered the living room with a suitcase. Patrick noticed that she hadn't wasted any time moving out. Maxie apologized, but she thought it was best not to draw it out. She promised to have the rest of her things picked up the following day and then reminded Patrick that he deserved to be happy. After Maxie left, Patrick called Sabrina.

11/1 At Kelly's, Sabrina listened to Patrick's voicemail message explaining that he wanted to go to the Halloween party on the Haunted Star. Sabrina was stunned, yet delighted, that Patrick had asked her out, so she left to get ready. At the Drake residence, Patrick closed the door on the last trick-or-treater as he announced that they were out of candy. Emma was disappointed because no one had given her father any candy. She handed him a lollipop from her stash, while Patrick explained that adults didn't go trick-or-treating. Emma was curious how adults celebrated Halloween, so he revealed they went to parties. Patrick wondered if it would be okay with Emma if he went out later that evening. Emma assured her father that it was fine, provided that Sabrina watched her. Sabrina arrived dressed as a bunch of purple grapes. Emma giggled, so Patrick gently explained to his daughter that Sabrina had just wanted to get in the spirit of things, even though Sabrina was only babysitting. Sabrina's smile faded as she realized that she had completely misunderstood Patrick's voicemail message. Patrick seemed to sense a change in Sabrina, so she quickly pretended that she had known all along that he had called to ask her to babysit Emma.

Moments later, Britt arrived, dressed as a sexy nurse. Britt loved Patrick's costume, so Patrick confessed that it was actually his old racing uniform. Patrick then introduced Britt to his daughter. Emma smiled politely, so Patrick excused himself to fetch something. Britt immediately seized the opportunity to ridicule Sabrina's costume, so Emma asked if Britt was a nurse. Britt scoffed at the idea of being a nurse in real life, so she explained that she was actually a doctor "just like your mommy." Britt asked about Emma's costume, so Emma proudly revealed that she was Belle, a beautiful fairytale princess. Britt admitted that it was hard to tell, because all princesses looked the same to her. Moments later, Patrick returned and asked if Britt was ready. Britt smiled brightly as she confessed that she hoped that their third date wouldn't be interrupted with another emergency call from Sabrina. After Patrick and Britt left, Emma confessed that she didn't like Britt. Sabrina changed out of her costume and then asked why Emma hadn't liked Britt. Emma explained that Britt was mean. Sabrina was concerned that Britt might have said something to upset Emma, so Emma quickly clarified that it had just been her impression, because real nurses were nice like Sabrina. Emma then revealed that there had been a time when they had had special parties called the Nurses' Ball to honor people like Emma's mother, Robin. Emma fetched the photo album to show Sabrina the pictures of the various Nurses' Balls. Sabrina was curious why they didn't do them anymore, but Emma didn't have an answer. Later, Patrick and Britt arrived. Patrick greeted Anna and then introduced Britt to Robin's mother. Anna's warm smile faded as she realized that Britt was Patrick's date. Britt noticed Anna's changed demeanor, so she excused herself. After Britt walked away, Patrick apologized for putting Anna in an awkward situation. Anna regretted her reaction, because she was certain that Robin would want Patrick to move on with his life and to start dating again.

Moments later, Britt returned to invite Patrick to dance. Britt and Patrick ended up in a quiet corner where they shared a heated kiss. Britt wondered if it was too soon to invite Patrick back to her place. Patrick appreciated the offer, but he had a daughter to get home to. Britt was certain that Sabrina wouldn't mind spending the night, but Patrick insisted that he needed to be there for his daughter in the morning and that spending the night away from home was something that he had to prepare Emma for. Later, Britt walked Patrick to his front door. Patrick again apologized for turning her down, but he explained that a parent couldn't always be spontaneous. Britt smiled sweetly as she assured him that she would leave it up to him to pick the time for them to spend the night together. After Patrick kissed Britt goodnight, he entered the house. He smiled when he saw Sabrina asleep on the sofa with Emma curled up in her lap.

11/6 At the Drake residence, Patrick warmly greeted Anna as he invited her inside. Emma threw herself into her grandmother's arms and told her that Patrick had put birthday candles on Emma's breakfast pancakes. Emma was curious if Anna wanted to know what she had wished for, which reminded Anna of a time that Robin had talked to Duke about wishes. Robin had wondered if confiding her wish to someone would keep it from happening. Duke had assured Robin that it should be fine to tell, as long as Robin had blown out all of the candles on her birthday cake. Robin had smiled brightly and confessed that she had wished for Duke and her mother to reunite. Anna returned to the present as Patrick warned Emma that it was bad luck to tell anyone about a special wish.

Later, Emma opened the birthday present from Anna. It was a pink cell phone. Emma thanked her grandmother and then dashed off to get dressed. Anna and Patrick reminisced about Robin's tradition of birthday pancakes, which had started when Robin had been a little girl. Anna assured Patrick that he was doing a fine job with Emma, so he credited Mac and Anna's support with giving him the strength to carry on without Robin. Anna confessed that it was difficult for her, so Patrick was curious if it had helped having Duke around. Anna thought that Robin would have loved to see Duke because Duke had been special to Robin. Patrick was curious how Anna felt about Duke, but she quickly changed the subject by asking about his date with Britt. Patrick confided that the date had been fine, but he had declined Britt's invitation to go back to her place. Patrick admitted that he wasn't even ready to take off his wedding ring yet. Anna assured Patrick that she would support him if he became involved with someone new.

Moments later, Emma returned to the living room with a DVD that Robin had made for Emma the previous year. Patrick wondered if Anna wanted to see it, so Anna nodded and braced herself, while Patrick put the DVD in. Moments later, Patrick, Anna, and Emma watched Robin talk to Emma about what a beautiful, compassionate, kind, and funny young girl Emma was. Robin insisted that there was nothing that Emma couldn't do. After the DVD ended, Patrick echoed Robin's sentiments, while Anna wiped away a tear. Later, Emma pretended to be talking to Robin on the new phone, while Patrick watched his daughter with sad eyes. After Anna left, Sabrina stopped by to drop off a birthday present for Emma. Patrick was touched that Sabrina had thought of Emma, especially on the first birthday without Robin. Inside, the phone rang, so Emma answered it.

Meanwhile, Duke received a phone call from Dr. Obrecht. Dr. Obrecht insisted that Duke fly to Switzerland as soon as possible because Robin had become stronger and was causing problems.

In Switzerland, Dr. Obrecht caught Robin sneaking around. Dr. Obrecht gently explained that Robin needed to return to her room, but Robin insisted that she had to get home. Robin feared that Emma wouldn't remember her because Robin had been gone for so long. Robin became increasingly agitated as Dr. Obrecht led Robin to the room. Once inside, Robin overpowered the doctor, knocked her out, and then stole her cell phone. Robin ran out of the room, and then called home. Her daughter answered. "Emma?" Robin asked when she heard her daughter's voice. "Hi, Mommy," Emma greeted her mother.

11/7 At the Drake residence, Patrick answered the door while Emma sat on the sofa, playing with her new toy cell phone. Patrick appreciated Sabrina stopping by to drop off a birthday present for Emma. He confessed that Sabrina was quickly becoming one of Emma's favorite people. Patrick then told Sabrina about Anna's gift to Emma and how Emma's first call on the toy cell phone had been to Robin. Patrick feared that Emma didn't quite understand that she would never see Robin again.

Meanwhile, the phone rang, so Emma answered it. "Hi, Mommy," Emma greeted her mother when she heard Robin on the other end of the line. Robin became choked up with emotion when Emma asked if Robin was having fun in Heaven. Robin explained that she wasn't in Heaven, just as Dr. Obrecht rounded the corner. Robin and Dr. Obrecht briefly struggled for the phone, but Robin managed to break free and race to her room with the phone. Robin quickly locked the door and shoved a bed against it to keep Dr. Obrecht and the orderlies from entering the room. Robin then calmly explained to Emma that it was urgent that Emma put Patrick on the phone. Emma put the phone down to fetch Patrick as Patrick and Sabrina entered the living room. Emma explained that Mommy was on the phone and needed to talk to Patrick. Patrick hesitated, but Emma begged her father to hurry. Patrick reluctantly picked up the toy cell phone, but Emma clarified that her mother was on the other phone. Patrick exchanged a look of concern with Sabrina, but picked up the house phone.

In Switzerland, Robin warned Dr. Obrecht that she was on the phone with Patrick, so help would arrive soon. Dr. Obrecht and the orderlies managed to gain access to Robin's hospital room and snatch the phone away from Robin just as Patrick picked up the phone. The orderlies restrained Robin and covered her mouth, while Dr. Obrecht quietly listened as Patrick pretended to talk to Robin for Emma's benefit. Dr. Obrecht smiled with satisfaction when she realized that Patrick had no idea that Robin had been on the phone, so she disconnected the call.

"That was ill-conceived," Dr. Obrecht warned Robin. Robin's eyes filled with unshed tears as Dr. Obrecht bragged that Patrick hadn't believed Emma's claims about Robin being on the phone, so no one would be riding to Robin's rescue. Robin argued that Emma knew the truth, so it was only a matter of time before Emma got through to Patrick. At the house, Patrick suggested that Emma open Sabrina's present. Emma was delighted by the doctor kit that Sabrina had bought, so Emma took it to the bedroom to play with. Sabrina confessed that she was relieved because she was awful at picking out presents. She stopped babbling when she noticed that Patrick seemed distracted. Patrick confessed that something had been off about the call because there hadn't been a dial tone when he had picked it up, which indicated that someone had been on the line. Patrick couldn't imagine who would call pretending to be Robin and ask for Emma, so Sabrina suggested that he "star 69" the call. Patrick tried, but quickly discovered that the number had been blocked. Sabrina suggested that perhaps it had been a "robocall" that Emma had mistakenly thought was Robin.

11/9 Anna told Mac about Robin's eight birthday when Robin had wished for Anna and Duke to get back together. She felt as if she should honor Robin's wish by getting back with Duke, so that Robin could rest in peace. Mac realized the time, so he explained that he had to leave. He handed Anna a bag with a birthday present for Emma that he asked Anna pass along. Anna smiled when she saw that it was The Little Prince, which had been Robin's favorite story when Robin had been a little girl. Mac hugged Anna and told her that he hoped that Duke made her happy.

At the clinic in Switzerland, Dr. Obrecht strapped Robin down to a bed, while Robin begged to be released. Robin insisted that it was time for her to go home. "Not yet," Dr. Obrecht replied. Robin wanted to know what Dr. Obrecht had meant by that, but she simply advised Robin to rest, and then left. In the hallway, Duke was waiting. He was furious that Robin had managed to get her hands on a phone and call Emma. Dr. Obrecht assured Duke that Patrick had assumed that Emma had been playing, but Duke wasn't satisfied because it had changed his plans for Robin. Dr. Obrecht warned Duke that Robin's behavior was erratic because one moment Robin appeared to be in a catatonic state and the next Robin was uncontrollable. Duke was livid because Robin's phone call had thrown off his timetable in Port Charles.

In the hospital room, Robin struggled against her restraints as she vowed to find a way to escape. She prayed that Patrick listened to Emma. Robin was startled when the door suddenly opened and an orderly shoved a man into her room. Robin's surprise turned to shock when she realized who the man was. "Duke?" Robin asked as Duke looked at her. "Robin?" Duke asked in the same stunned tone. Duke's hands had been bound to make it appear that he was a prisoner like Robin. Robin couldn't believe that Duke was really alive, so he told her the same story that he had told everyone else about being held captive in a Turkish prison for years. He asked her what she was doing there, so Robin admitted that she had no idea, but she was prisoner. Robin explained that she didn't recall much after the explosion except waking up in a hospital and receiving electroshock treatment. Duke revealed that he had been to Port Charles, so everyone believed that she was dead. Robin was relieved that Duke was there because she was confident that he could rescue her. However, she was curious how he had ended up in the clinic. Duke claimed that he had been at a debriefing in Washington when he had heard rumors that Robin was being held at the clinic. Robin wondered if he had told Anna, so Duke shook his head as he explained that he hadn't wanted to needlessly raise Anna's hopes.

Robin seemed satisfied with the explanation, so she asked him how they were going to escape. Duke pretended to work on her restraints as he suggested that he overpower the next person who entered the room, steal their keycard and hopefully a set of car keys. Robin smiled because he was still her hero like the prince in her favorite book. She wondered if he remembered.

"How could I forget?" Duke asked as he made a show of trying to work on the restraints binding his wrists together. Robin talked about how she had read the book one morning to her mother and had compared the prince to Duke. She was curious if he recalled what she had told Anna about the prince. " Your tall, dark, handsome swain," Duke replied. Robin's smile faltered. She reminded Duke that the prince had been young, blond, and blue-eyed, which was why the comparison to Duke had been so funny. Duke apologized for the mistake as he explained that his memory was not what it had once been. Robin appeared to believe him, so she began to talk about the first meal that they had cooked together, which she told him had been spaghetti and meatballs. Duke smiled, as he assured her that he remembered. Robin's smile faded because she had caught Duke in a lie. The first meal that they had cooked together had been pizza. Duke insisted that his memory was jumbled because he had been tortured, but Robin didn't believe him. She knew what it was like to be tortured and to cling to important memories. Robin argued that the real Duke wouldn't have forgotten such important moments, so she demanded to know who he really was. "Child, you were always too smart for your own good," he growled as he pulled off the mask of Duke Lavery. "Oh. My. God." Robin said as she looked at the man who had been pretending to be Duke Lavery.

11/12 After tending to a sick child at General Hospital, Britt asked Elizabeth if she could pick Elizabeth's brain about Patrick. When Britt asked Elizabeth if it bothered her that Britt and Patrick were dating, Elizabeth said that she cared about Patrick and wanted him to be happy. Brit said that she was worried that either Patrick was not into her or would never get over Robin. Elizabeth assured Britt that Patrick would get over Robin, and when he did, Britt was exactly the kind of woman that Patrick would find hard to resist. Britt wanted to know more, so Elizabeth told Britt that Patrick had been quite the player before he fell for Robin, whom he had first met when Robin had visited the hospital where Patrick was a resident. Robin had entered what she thought was an empty operating room and had interrupted Patrick and a nurse engaging in sexual activities. Britt was encouraged to learn of Patrick's sexual appetite and by Elizabeth's reiteration that she wanted Patrick to be happy. Suddenly, the child that Elizabeth and Britt had been attending called for Britt. Britt rushed over to her bedside and the girl promptly vomited on Britt's scrubs. In the GH locker room, Sabrina accidentally bumped into a shirtless Patrick. Though momentarily dumbfounded, Sabrina recovered quickly. Patrick gave Sabrina a card that Emma had sent as a thank-you for the stethoscope that Sabrina had given Emma for her birthday. Patrick told Sabrina that it had been the perfect gift and that Emma had not yet taken it off.

Sabrina asked about the call that Emma had claimed was from Robin. Patrick said that Emma had not referred to the call again, but he was still puzzled because there had been someone there. Patrick admitted that although logically it was probably a telemarketer, and even though he knew he had to move on, he still looked up and hoped to find Robin standing in front of him. Sabrina told Patrick that it was okay to miss Robin because she had been young, well-loved at GH, and had a lot left to give. Sabrina said that she had learned what a great person Robin had been by looking at pictures of the Nurses' Ball with Emma, who was very proud of her mother. Sabrina said that she would like to find the financing to reinstate the Nurses' Ball as a tribute to Robin and as a way to help Patrick and Emma miss Robin a little less, if Patrick did not object. Before Patrick could answer, Britt walked in and ripped off her top, revealing a scanty pink bra. She excused the interruption as she announced that she was covered in puke. Her trousers quickly followed, uncovering a tiny black bikini bottom. As Patrick tried not to look, Britt flaunted her body and said that she had had a great time with Patrick on Halloween. Patrick reciprocated her sentiment. With her focus on Patrick, Britt threw her dirty scrubs at Sabrina and told her to get them cleaned. When Sabrina mentioned having another Nurses' Ball as a tribute to Robin, Britt announced that it was a depressing idea and questioned if Patrick was interested. Patrick said that he thought it was a very good idea and offered to help Sabrina raise funds. Britt reversed her position and offered her help also. Britt then sent Sabrina to the laundry with her dirty scrubs, but before leaving, Sabrina reminded Patrick to thank Emma for the card.

Britt was curious, so Patrick told Britt about Sabrina's gift to Emma. Britt put on a formfitting black dress and offered her back to Patrick so that he could zip it up for her. As he did so, Britt asked if Patrick had made plans to sleep with her. When Patrick hesitated, Britt asked if she had been too forward. Patrick responded in the negative, so Britt added that she believed in asking for what she wanted, and what she wanted was Patrick. Britt asked if Patrick had discussed the subject with Emma. Patrick said that he had not, but that Emma was having a sleepover with Felicia and Mac, so it was not an issue that evening. Britt asked if Patrick was inviting her for a sleepover. Patrick said he was inviting Britt to invite him to sleepover at her place.

At a Swiss clinic, Robin accused Duke of being a fake. Frustrated, Duke pulled off a rubber prosthetic mask. Robin immediately recognized him as Faison, a former antagonist of Anna, whom all believed to be deceased. Faison told Robin that it had not been smart of her to escape and call home. When Robin demanded to know what was going on, Faison said that it was not Duke Lavery who had returned from the dead, but Faison. Faison said he was playing the part of Duke because Faison loved Anna but Anna did not love Faison. Robin was skeptical and said that Anna would not fall for Faison's disguise. Faison said that Anna already had. He added that Robin's death had made Anna soft. Robin said that it was only a matter of time until Anna figured out that Faison was not Duke. Faison replied that he had tangoed with Anna, and she had not figured it out. Robin said that Anna was in love with Duke, not Faison. Faison said that he did not care as long as he had Anna for himself. Robin tried to learn how Faison had managed to find out about Duke's memories, but Faison merely told her that he had his methods. He added that it had been very costly to turn himself into another person. Faison said his plan had almost come to fruition except for one thing -- Robin, whom he had taken and hidden away but had intended to return to Anna so that he could play the hero. Faison said that he would have to go back to Plan A. He chided Robin for not being clever enough to play along, at least until she could get back to her family. Robin tried to convince Faison that he could still be the hero and gain Anna's love if he returned Robin to her family. Robin promised to intercede with Anna on Faison's behalf. Robin assured Faison that Anna would have no choice but to love him once Robin told her story. Faison said that he would like to believe Robin, but he would be stupid to mess up a plan that was already working. Faison told Robin that he was sorry, but he could not let her go. Robin asked if Faison was going to kill her. Faison told Robin that he was not a monster and would not kill her, but that he would not let her go. Robin said that sooner or later, Faison would reveal his ugly sick self, and he would be sorry that he had not listened to Robin. Faison ignored her and declared that his charade would work as soon as he tied up one remaining loose end.

11/13 In Duke Lavery's room at the clinic in Switzerland, Cesar Faison leaned over Duke's bed. "You thought you were clever, lying to me?" Faison asked in a soft, but deadly tone. Faison realized that Duke had hoped that the lies would be Faison's undoing, but it had been a grave mistake. Duke, who was restrained to the bed, insisted that Faison had gotten what Faison had deserved. Faison promised that Duke would, too, so Duke defiantly told Faison to go to hell.

11/14 Patrick and Britt arrived at the Haunted Star for a drink. Lulu greeted them and took their order. Britt wanted champagne because she and Patrick were celebrating. Lulu smiled knowingly and fetched the drinks. Later, Britt offered a toast to clear communication and Emma spending the night with Mac and Felicia. Patrick hoped Emma didn't get another strange phone call, so Britt wondered what he was talking about. Patrick told her about what he believed to be Emma's imaginary phone calls from Robin. Patrick hoped that a night with Mac and Felicia, who spoiled Emma, would do his daughter some good. Britt offered to spoil Patrick and then confessed that her apartment was being renovated, so she had rented a room at Metro Court for the night. Britt noticed that Patrick seemed uncomfortable, so he explained that he was out of practice and didn't know the rules. Britt assured him that there weren't any rules except for them to have fun. Patrick smiled as he confessed that he had been enjoying Britt's company. Britt beamed as she admitted that Patrick had made her night.

Later, they bumped into Elizabeth and Sabrina. Patrick and Britt were curious what Elizabeth and Sabrina were doing there, so Elizabeth explained that they had decided to get a drink after Tracy had turned down their request to help fund the Nurses' Ball. Britt announced that she and Patrick were about to leave, so Sabrina was curious who was watching Emma. Britt explained that Emma was spending the night with Mac and Felicia, so Britt and Patrick had the whole night free. Elizabeth admitted that her grandmother was watching the boys, so that Elizabeth could work on fundraising for the Nurses' Ball, which Audrey was in complete support of. Britt took the opportunity to deliberately drop the Metro Court keycard at Sabrina's feet, while Patrick's attention was on Elizabeth. Sabrina picked up the Metro Court keycard and stared at it for several heartbeats before handing it to Britt. Britt smiled smugly as she thanked Sabrina. Meanwhile, Patrick and Elizabeth agreed to meet the following day to discuss the next step to try to get funding for the Nurses' Ball. Moments later, Patrick and Britt left, so Elizabeth asked if Sabrina was ready for a drink. "Please, supersize me," Sabrina replied.

Later, Elizabeth sensed that Sabrina was upset because Sabrina had practically guzzled her cocktail. Sabrina admitted that she was attempting to drown her sorrows. Elizabeth assumed that it had to do with their first potential donor turning them down, but Sabrina assured her that it didn't have to do with the Quartermaines. A tipsy Sabrina polished off the drink, while Elizabeth asked what was bothering Sabrina. Sabrina complained that Britt had bragged about spending the night with Patrick, and then had made sure that Sabrina saw the keycard. Elizabeth realized that Sabrina had a thing for Patrick. Sabrina denied it, but Elizabeth wasn't convinced. Sabrina clarified that it was just a crush. Elizabeth conceded that Patrick was a wonderful person, a brilliant doctor, and good-looking, so she understood the attraction. Sabrina was horrified that she had said anything, so she begged Elizabeth not to tell Patrick because Sabrina knew that it was ridiculous to think that Patrick would ever be interested in someone like Sabrina. Sabrina then began to grumble about Britt stripping out of her shirt in front of Patrick and standing in front of Patrick in just her bra while they had been in the locker room. Sabrina admitted that she could never have done something like that.

After Lulu dropped off a second round of drinks, Sabrina explained that she wanted Patrick to be happy, as long as he found someone real with whom he could connect, even if it wasn't Sabrina. However, Sabrina doubted that Britt was the right woman for him because Britt didn't care about Patrick as a person. According to Sabrina, Britt saw Patrick as a handsome doctor and never spared Emma a second glance. Elizabeth suggested that things would change with time, but Sabrina argued that it was clear that Patrick was not ready for a relationship, which probably wouldn't stop Britt. At Metro Court, Britt apologized for not taking Patrick to her place. Patrick assured her that the suite was fine, and then kissed her. Britt started to unbutton his shirt but stopped to excuse herself while she slipped into the bathroom. She invited Patrick to keep undressing, so Patrick watched her leave and then continued to unbutton his shirt. However, he stopped when his eyes landed on his wedding band. A short time later, Britt returned from the bathroom, wearing only her bra and panties, as Patrick shrugged on his jacket. Britt asked what was going on, so Patrick explained that he wasn't ready to sleep with her.

11/15 Faison arrived at his apartment, disguised as Duke. After he closed the door, he pulled off the rubber mask and then called Anna. At the hotel suite, Anna was getting ready for work when she received a call from Faison posing as Duke. Anna was delighted to hear from Duke because she had missed him. Anna was startled when Robert suddenly entered the suite. "Hello, love," Robert greeted his ex-wife. Anna explained that she would have to call Duke back, so Faison asked if Luke had returned. Anna admitted that it was someone else, so Faison explained that he had called to invite her to his place for dinner. Anna didn't know if she could make it, but Faison refused to take no for an answer. After Anna ended the call, she demanded to know what Robert was doing there. Robert explained that Luke had called from a Turkish prison, where Luke was being held, to ask Robert for a favor. Stunned, Anna wondered why Robert hadn't gone to help Luke. Robert assured Anna that Luke could take care of himself and then admitted that Luke had asked Robert to pass along the information that Luke had uncovered about Duke to Anna. Anna felt vindicated when Robert admitted that Duke's story appeared to have checked out.

However, Robert reminded her that she should know that if something sounded too good to be true, then it usually was. Anna was frustrated because Duke seemed to be damned either way. She was happy that Robert appeared to be doing well and had moved on with his life, but she wanted him to stay out of hers. Anna pointed out that she and Robert had returned from the dead, so she was curious why he didn't think that Duke could have. Robert argued that he knew one person who hadn't returned from the dead, but Anna cut him off before he could say Robin's name because she insisted that he didn't get to do that to her. Anna made it clear that if she wanted to believe that Duke was back from the dead, then she could. Robert advised her to try to be objective because Duke's story seemed a bit too convenient. "Why?" Anna demanded. Robert explained that it was Spy 101 to attack an opponent when they were at their most vulnerable, but Anna was curious what Duke stood to gain. Robert didn't have an answer, so Anna suggested that Luke had allowed his jealousy to cloud his thinking. Robert feared that Anna was quickly sinking in quicksand, so he was determined to pull her out, whether she liked it or not. Anna told Robert to let Luke know that she wished the best for Luke, but she intended to move out as soon as possible.

At the nurses' station, Elizabeth greeted Sabrina, but Sabrina's mood was subdued. Elizabeth wondered what was wrong. "Excuse me?" Sabrina asked. "Well, normally you're so happy, you practically have bluebirds singing on your shoulders," Elizabeth admitted. Sabrina confessed that she was still upset about Patrick and Britt spending the night together. Sabrina realized that it was ridiculous because Patrick and Britt were consenting adults who were free to sleep with whomever they wanted. Elizabeth pointed out that it didn't mean that Sabrina had to like it. Sabrina insisted that it wasn't just about Sabrina's feelings for Patrick, although she conceded that they did factor in. However, Sabrina's main concern was that Patrick had been through so much that she didn't think that he was ready to move forward. Elizabeth looked up as Patrick walked up. Patrick apologized and then confessed that he had overheard what Sabrina had said. Mortified, Sabrina stared at him as he explained that he knew that she was afraid that he would be disappointed if she couldn't find anyone to underwrite the Nurses' Ball. Sabrina realized that Patrick didn't know about her crush on him. He assured Sabrina that he knew how hard Sabrina and Elizabeth were working on putting together a Nurses' Ball, so he could never be disappointed. Elizabeth promised to keep brainstorming with Sabrina to find new sponsors, so Patrick offered to help in any way that he could because the event meant a lot to him. Sabrina excused herself and dashed off. Patrick asked what was wrong with Sabrina. "No idea," Elizabeth replied.

Patrick excused himself when he spotted Britt. Elizabeth saw her brother reading a newspaper in the waiting area, so she walked up to greet him. Elizabeth noticed the headline, so she admitted that the news about A.J. was incredible. She couldn't understand how it was possible that A.J. had survived. Steve agreed. Elizabeth recalled that Steve had treated A.J., but became distracted when she noticed that Sabrina had returned to the nurses' station. Elizabeth promised to return shortly and then went to check on Sabrina. Elizabeth asked Sabrina if Sabrina was okay. Sabrina explained that she had gone to splash her face with water because she had panicked when she had thought that Patrick had overheard her talking about her crush on him. Elizabeth assured Sabrina that it was okay and gave Sabrina an assignment to get Sabrina's mind off of what had happened. Sabrina headed to an examination room, unaware that Patrick and Britt had entered it for a private talk. Sabrina froze at the door, which had been left open a crack, when she heard Patrick apologize to Britt about the previous evening. He confessed that he wasn't ready to be intimate with anyone because looking at his wedding band had made him feel disloyal to Robin. Britt assured Patrick that she understood. She told him to take all the time that he needed because she would wait for him. Patrick didn't think that it was fair to ask that of Britt, but she explained that she didn't mind. Patrick smiled and thanked Britt.

In the hallway, Sabrina grinned and dashed off before Patrick and Britt caught her eavesdropping. Meanwhile, Britt told Patrick that she was glad that they had talked and reiterated that she didn't mind waiting when there was something worth waiting for. Later, Elizabeth noticed that Sabrina seemed to be in a better mood. Sabrina revealed that she had learned that Patrick hadn't spent the night with Britt, so there was still hope for Sabrina. Elizabeth tried to warn Sabrina that Patrick was approaching, but Sabrina carried on about how it might be silly to think that a gorgeous brilliant doctor might be interested in a girl like her. "Sabrina," Elizabeth finally managed to interject in a warning tone. Sabrina turned around to discover that Patrick was standing directly behind her.

11/16 At the nurses' station, Sabrina admitted that she was in a better mood because Patrick hadn't slept with Britt, so there was still hope for Sabrina. Elizabeth tried to warn Sabrina that Patrick was approaching, but Sabrina was too excited to notice as she waxed poetic about Patrick's virtues. "Sabrina," Elizabeth finally cut in with a warning tone. Sabrina was horrified when she turned around and saw Patrick smiling back at her. Patrick was curious which doctor Sabrina was so enamored with. He offered to talk to the doctor on Sabrina's behalf. Patrick and Elizabeth were startled when Sabrina claimed that she had a crush on Elizabeth's brother, Steve. Elizabeth played along with it, while Patrick gently reminded Sabrina that Steve was involved with someone. Sabrina assured Patrick that she was fully aware that her rival was confident, accomplished, smart, and beautiful, which were traits that Sabrina couldn't compete against. However, Sabrina couldn't help the way that she felt and admitted that she had cared about "Steve" from the first moment that she had first laid eyes on him. Patrick empathized, because he still missed Robin. Elizabeth admitted that she too cared about someone whom she missed. Sabrina immediately apologized for being so self-absorbed because her situation didn't compare to what Patrick and Elizabeth were dealing with. Patrick assured Sabrina that he hadn't meant it the way that she had taken it, but Sabrina asked him to drop the subject. Patrick apologized for overhearing her private conversation, so Elizabeth tried to lighten the mood by informing Patrick that his eavesdropping skills were deficient. After Patrick walked away, Sabrina breathed a sigh of relief because Patrick hadn't realized that she had been talking about him, not Steve. Sabrina begged Elizabeth not to say anything, so Elizabeth assured Sabrina that Sabrina's secret was safe. Moments later, Steve asked to talk to Elizabeth privately, so she excused herself.

Later, Sabrina was working at the nurses' station when Steve greeted her as he passed by. Patrick noticed Sabrina hide her face behind a file, so Patrick assumed that it was because she was embarrassed. Patrick assured Sabrina that she was a terrific person who was smart, so Steve would be an idiot not to be interested in her if he wasn't already involved with someone. Patrick imagined that it had to be difficult to have unrequited feelings for someone, but he assured Sabrina that she would be okay because he was certain that her feelings for Steve would fade with time. Patrick was confident that Sabrina would find someone who would appreciate her and return her feelings. Olivia described the man that she had seen in her vision, while Elizabeth sketched the picture. "Oh, my God," Elizabeth said when Olivia declared that the picture was complete. "It can't be," Elizabeth whispered as she looked up at Robert. Robert wondered if Elizabeth recognized the man. Elizabeth revealed that Robert would, too, and then showed him the picture. "Faison," Robert said as he looked at the sketch that Elizabeth had drawn.

11/20 At the Drake residence, Patrick was on the phone with Monica. He was relieved that Edward was stable, but offered his services if there was anything that he could do for the Quartermaine patriarch. Patrick admitted that he would always be grateful for Edward's selfless gift to Emma during the crisis when they had been infected with the deadly pathogen in the town's water supply. Patrick wrapped up the call with Monica as Robert arrived. Patrick told Robert about Edward's declining health and confided that Edward wouldn't be with them much longer. Robert was saddened by the news because Edward had always been a Port Charles "institution." Robert recalled that almost everyone had been terrified of Edward, except Robin, who had had Edward wrapped around her finger. Robert grew somber at the thought of his daughter, so he changed the subject by explaining that he was there to deliver a present to Emma. Patrick explained that Emma was at school, so he invited Robert to leave the gift in case Robert didn't have the time to stay. Robert didn't blame Patrick for being angry because Robert had left before Robin's funeral. Robert apologized, but Patrick insisted that Anna was the one who deserved an explanation. Robert admitted that he had already talked to Anna, so Patrick confessed that he had heard about Robert's long-lost son. Robert revealed that Luke had only claimed that Ethan was Robert's son to keep Robert from taking his own life. Robert acknowledged that, on some level, he had always known the truth, but Robert had seized the opportunity to chase after Ethan because Robert had been unable to accept that Robin was gone. Robert confessed that he still couldn't. Patrick's anger towards Robert eased because Patrick could empathize. Patrick credited Emma for getting him through the ordeal of Robin's funeral. Robert urged Patrick to treasure Emma and to keep her close instead of taking things for granted the way that Robert had. Patrick assured Robert that Robin had been proud of Robert and that Emma bragged about her grandfather. Robert smiled and admitted that he wanted to give Emma the present in person, so Patrick agreed to call the school to let them know that Robert would stop by. Patrick was certain that Emma would enjoy the surprise.

11/30 At the nurses' station, Sabrina panicked when she saw Patrick talking to Steve. Elizabeth wondered why Sabrina was upset, so Sabrina reminded Elizabeth about Sabrina's confession to having a crush on Steve. Elizabeth assured Sabrina that Patrick would never tell Steve. Nearby, Britt smiled to herself as she pretended to be focused on a patient's chart. Moments later, Patrick and Steve approached the nurses' station. Sabrina was horrified when Steve revealed that Patrick had told him everything. "About the Nurses' Ball," Patrick clarified. Sabrina relaxed as Steve admitted that he wanted to be a part of the committee. Elizabeth smiled and announced that she had booked the conference room. Steve and Patrick headed to the conference room, while Sabrina confided to Elizabeth that she was relieved because Sabrina doubted that she could have continued to work at the hospital if Patrick had told Steve about the crush. Britt smiled wickedly as Elizabeth and Sabrina went to the conference room.

Later, Elizabeth, Sabrina, Patrick, and Steve began to discuss the plans for the Nurses' Ball when Britt breezed into the room and apologized for being late. Britt claimed that she had been busy saving the life of a patient who had flat-lined. Elizabeth confessed that she hadn't realized that Britt had been interested in helping with the Nurses' Ball, so Britt claimed that she thought it was a worthy cause. They decided that they would have to break off into teams of two, so that one team could focus on finding a venue for the event, and the other team could work on getting sponsors. Britt seized the opportunity to suggest that Sabrina and Steve team up. Sabrina was mortified when Britt innocently confessed that she was trying to play Cupid. Steve tactfully reminded Britt that he had a girlfriend. Britt apologized and then claimed that she hadn't realized that Sabrina's feelings for Steve weren't returned. Humiliated and embarrassed, Sabrina excused herself and fled the room. Elizabeth quickly followed Sabrina and caught up with her at the nurses' station. Sabrina was distraught, but Elizabeth insisted that Sabrina hadn't done anything wrong; however, Britt was a different matter. Sabrina decided that she had to find a new job because Sabrina could never face Steve again. Elizabeth argued that what Sabrina was working on was bigger than all of them, including whatever agenda Britt had. Sabrina realized that Elizabeth had a point, so she decided to suck it up and focus on the Nurses' Ball.

In the conference room, Britt claimed that she had assumed that everyone had known about Sabrina's crush on Steve because it had been obvious. Patrick insisted that Sabrina was shy and didn't want anyone to know her private business. Britt decided that she could make it up to Sabrina by teaming up with Patrick to find the perfect location for the Nurses' Ball. Moments later, Sabrina and Elizabeth returned to the conference room. Britt smirked as Sabrina apologized and explained that she needed to be honest about her feelings. Sabrina admitted that she had told Patrick that she had a crush on Steve, but Sabrina respected that Steve had a girlfriend, so she promised to be professional. Elizabeth confessed that she had a problem with Steve helping Sabrina to find sponsors for the ball because Steve had a difficult time asking anyone for money. "You couldn't even sell Mom gift wrap in high school," Elizabeth reminded her brother. Steve argued that their mother had had a closet full of wrapping paper, but Elizabeth insisted that it didn't matter. Patrick assured everyone that he didn't mind asking people for money, especially when it was for a cause that was close to his heart. Britt objected when Patrick decided to work with Sabrina, but everyone ignored Britt. Elizabeth proposed teaming up with her brother to find the perfect locale for the Nurses' Ball. Later, Britt's mood soured when she overheard Patrick invite Sabrina to have breakfast with him the following day, so that they could brainstorm. Elizabeth approached Britt to suggest that Britt focus on getting the word out, which Britt could do in her spare time.

12/4 Faison explained that he had called Dr. Obrecht because Robert Scorpio was in town and suspected the truth about Faison's identity. Helena Cassadine, an old associate of Faison's, had warned him that Robert had been snooping around. Faison suspected Dr. Obrecht of being the leak, but she quickly assured him that she hadn't told anyone about Faison or his plan. She was confident that Robert would soon lose interest because there wasn't any proof that Faison was masquerading as Duke. However, Faison insisted that Robert was relentless, so there was only one way to deal with the problem. The doctor was startled when Faison produced a gun and extended it to her with orders to kill Robert. Faison bragged that he would have the perfect alibi because he would be far away with Anna, but Dr. Obrecht cautioned him not to risk an investigation leading back to him. Faison conceded that the doctor had a point, so he decided to pay Anna a visit to try to find out what, if anything, Robert might have said. Dr. Obrecht offered to accompany him, but Faison pointed out that Anna would recognize her from the clinic, so he instructed her to stay in the apartment.

Robert watched as Faison left the apartment. Robert crept to the door to pick the lock, unaware that Dr. Obrecht was inside, reading a newspaper. Dr. Obrecht heard the scratching at the door, so she picked up the gun and then slipped out onto the balcony. Moments later, Robert entered the apartment and looked around. Dr. Obrecht watched until Robert went to Faison's bedroom. She quickly dashed through the living room and out the front door without Robert noticing and then called Faison to alert him to the break-in. Dr. Obrecht called to let Faison know that Robert was in the apartment. Anna sensed that something was troubling Faison when he ended the call, so he claimed that his neighbor had called to report that someone had broken into the apartment. Anna decided to head over to the apartment to check things out, since it was her job to catch the criminals. A short time later, Anna burst through the apartment door with her gun drawn, but stopped short when she realized that Robert was the burglar. Anna was livid and quickly reminded Robert that he was not above the law. Faison assured Anna that he wouldn't press charges. "Shut up, you phony bastard," Robert barked at Faison and then pointed to Faison as he asked why Anna couldn't see that "this man" was playing her. Anna began to rant about Robert's ridiculous behavior, but Robert insisted that he was only trying to save Anna's life. Robert revealed that the man she thought was Duke was not Duke Lavery. "This is Faison," Robert clarified.

At the nurses' station, Patrick wondered if Sabrina was ready for their date. Sabrina was shocked speechless, so Patrick reminded her about their meeting to discuss the Nurses' Ball. Sabrina chuckled nervously and admitted that she needed a few minutes to get ready. Patrick smiled and agreed to catch up with Sabrina in a bit. After he left the nurses' station, he bumped into Lulu, who was waiting for Dante and Maxie to arrive. Lulu revealed that Maxie had agreed to be her surrogate. Lulu was surprised when Patrick didn't seem the least bit surprised. She confessed that everyone else had had concerns about Maxie, so Patrick confessed that he respected Maxie because she, along with Lulu, had helped him when he became hooked on drugs. Moments later, Britt walked up to ask Lulu if Dante and Maxie had arrived. Patrick realized that Britt was Lulu's endocrinologist. Britt confirmed that they intended to start the in vitro fertilization protocol that day, so Patrick assured Lulu that she was in good hands with Britt and then excused himself because he had to meet up with Sabrina for their date. Britt was startled, so Patrick reminded her that it was to discuss the Nurses' Ball. Britt smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. Britt retuned to take Dante, Lulu, and Maxie to an examination room.

In the examination room, Britt assured everyone that Maxie's heart transplant wouldn't be a problem and promised that she and Maxie's cardiologist would carefully monitor Maxie during the process. Britt went over the protocol, which included hormonal treatments that would put Maxie and Lulu on the same cycle and stimulate the maturation of Lulu's eggs. Britt reminded everyone that it was a big commitment with lots of demands, so she wanted to make certain that everyone was ready to move forward. Dante, Lulu, and Maxie each assured Britt that they wanted to go through with the IVF protocol, so Britt led Dante out of the room, while the ladies changed into hospital gowns.

At the nurses' station, Sabrina asked her co-worker, Felix, if she had poppy seeds stuck between her teeth. Felix, a friendly African-American young nurse, assured Sabrina that her teeth were fine, but he offered to give her a quick makeover for her date with Patrick. Sabrina assured him that it wasn't a date; she and Patrick were meeting to discuss the Nurses' Ball. Felix's interest was immediately piqued because he loved to sing and dance, so he offered to help with the Nurses' Ball. However, he insisted on first sprucing up Sabrina. Felix produced a tube of Coco red velvet lipstick. Sabrina was startled that he carried lipstick on him, but Felix ignored her as he made her apply it. Sabrina confessed that she hoped that the charity event would give Patrick some comfort because he was still grieving for his wife, Robin. Felix thought that Patrick had recently started to date "Dr. West Nile," so Sabrina explained that Patrick wasn't ready to move on yet and that Dr. Westbourne wasn't the right woman for Patrick. Moments later, Patrick returned to the nurses' station to see if Sabrina was ready. Patrick chuckled when he noticed that Sabrina had lipstick on her teeth.

At Metro Court Restaurant, Patrick held out a chair for Sabrina, who had removed all signs of the bright red lipstick. Sabrina was impressed with the elegant restaurant, so Patrick admitted that he was tired of the cafeteria. Sabrina smiled nervously and pulled out a list of potential sponsors for the Nurses' Ball. She admitted that she had compiled a list of names of the top one percent who had raised the ransom money to pay Jerry Jacks. Patrick reminded Sabrina that Tracy had already turned them down, so Sabrina scratched Tracy's name from the list. Next, Patrick revealed that most of Carly Jacks's money had been tied up in the hotel, and that it was Carly's ex-husband who had helped to pay the ransom. Patrick warned Sabrina that Sonny wasn't a viable candidate, either, because Sonny was a mobster. He rejected Johnny for the same reason. Sabrina was curious what he knew about Todd Manning, so Patrick confessed that Todd hadn't given him the impression of being a philanthropist. Sabrina was disappointed about Sonny because she had seen pictures of Sonny and Robin together in the photo album that Emma had showed her of the previous Nurses' Balls. Patrick admitted that Robin had considered Sonny to be a friend, but Sonny had once stood in Patrick's home and fired a gun, while Robin had been in the house. Patrick revealed that Robin had forgiven Sonny, but Sabrina saw the sadness in Patrick's eyes. She reached out to hold his hand and assured him that it was okay and that he didn't have anything to be sorry for.

12/5 At Faison's apartment, Anna demanded to know what was wrong with Robert to even say Faison's name to her. Robert insisted that the man that she knew as Duke Lavery was in reality Cesar Faison. Faison sputtered with outrage, as Anna insisted that Faison had been dead for years. Robert argued that he and Anna were both proof that it was possible to survive a boat explosion, so Faison could have escaped the blast and assumed Duke Lavery's identity. Faison insisted that it was a preposterous suggestion, so Anna asked Robert for proof. Robert told Anna about Olivia's encounter with "Duke" and the vision. Robert then explained that Olivia had described the man in detail to Elizabeth, who had sketched the man's likeness. Anna was visibly shaken and jumped back when Robert showed her the sketch of Faison. She immediately tried to dismiss the sketch by reminding Robert that Elizabeth had known Faison, so she might have been influenced to draw Faison's likeness. Robert assured Anna that Elizabeth had drawn exactly what Olivia had described.

Robert told Anna about his own encounter with "Duke" on the piers and showed her the cigarillo that "Duke" had discarded. For the first time, Anna appeared to have doubts because she recalled that Duke had told her that he had smoked cigarettes, not the cigarillos that Faison had favored. "So?" Faison asked as he pointed out that all she had to do was look at him to know that he was Duke, not Faison. Robert offered to call Interpol, but Anna tearfully stopped him. She assured Robert that she understood his need to latch on to something because he missed Robin, but she refused to let him fixate on Duke. Anna called the station to report the break-in. A short time later, Robert pleaded with Anna to reconsider because her safety depended on it. Anna watched with sadness as two police officers handcuffed Robert and hauled him away. Faison followed them to the door and closed it after everyone had left. Faison briefly smiled with satisfaction, and then turned to look at Anna with an expression of concern. He realized that the arrest had been difficult on her, so he thanked her for believing in him and hugged her. "My Anna," Faison said as Anna looked past his shoulder at the sketch of Faison.

12/7 In the locker room, Sabrina practiced what she planned to say to Todd about the Nurses' Ball. She looked in the mirror and gave herself a quick pep talk to remind herself that she was a poised and confident person. Sabrina jumped when she suddenly noticed Patrick pass behind her on his way to his locker. He had just taken a shower, so he had a towel wrapped around his waist. Sabrina stammered with embarrassment as she confessed that she was surprised to see him. Patrick chuckled as he pointed out that they were at work in the locker room. Britt lurked around the corner, eavesdropping, as Patrick expressed disappointment that Sabrina hadn't told him about the meeting with Todd. Sabrina turned her back, so that Patrick could get dressed, as she confessed that she hadn't thought that Patrick would have had the time. Patrick reminded her that the cause was dear to his heart, so he wanted to go with Sabrina to talk to Todd. Sabrina recovered from her shock and thanked Patrick for his support. Meanwhile, Britt suddenly appeared and with a sense of urgency asked if she could speak to Patrick. Patrick explained that he was about to leave with Sabrina for a meeting, so Britt asked if it could wait. Britt claimed that she had hoped that Patrick could consult on an important case. Patrick seemed reluctant to bail on Sabrina, but Sabrina reminded him that she had intended to approach Todd for the money alone, so it was okay. After Sabrina left, Patrick reviewed the patient's charts. He decided that surgery wasn't necessary and questioned why Britt had made it sound like it had been a dire matter. Britt smiled sheepishly as she conceded that she might have overreacted. Patrick shrugged it off and announced that he would try to catch up with Sabrina. Britt thought it was a terrible idea because Sabrina needed to build up her confidence on her own. Britt insisted that the meeting with Todd was exactly the kind of thing that would help.

Todd called the human resources department again to find out where his new assistant was. Sabrina entered Todd's office, so he assumed that she was his new assistant. He quickly handed her a stack of files and barked orders at her. Sabrina was happy to help out, but she wanted to discuss the Nurses' Ball when she was finished. Todd appeared confused, so Sabrina explained that they'd had an appointment to talk about Todd underwriting the Nurses' Ball, which raised money for AIDS research. "That's so '80s and '90s," Todd complained. According to Todd, everyone had become educated, and that the disease was curable with the right cocktail. Sabrina agreed that people lived longer, but she warned Todd that there were still millions of people dying annually. Todd was unmoved, so she accused him of being heartless. Todd claimed that he was financially broke after paying Jerry Jacks's ransom demand. Meanwhile, Patrick stopped outside of Todd's office, unseen, when he heard Sabrina and Todd exchange words. Sabrina accused Todd of being a fool because she was certain that he would eventually regret not being a part of something big that would save lives and pay tribute to a young woman who everyone in town had loved. Sabrina gathered her things and started to leave, but Todd called her back. He handed her a file, which he claimed he desperately needed to be copied. Sabrina marched out of his office without a backward glance. Patrick followed her to the elevator and confessed that he was glad that he hadn't gone to the meeting because he would have punched Todd.

Later, at the hospital, Sabrina was downcast because she didn't know who else to ask to underwrite the ball. Patrick had faith in Sabrina and was certain that she would make the Nurses' Ball happen. After Patrick walked away, Britt rounded the corner and admitted that she had heard about what had happened with Todd. Britt pretended to feel bad that Sabrina hadn't been able to "close the deal." According to Britt, it wasn't Sabrina's fault that there wouldn't be a fairytale ending for the ball. After Britt left, Sabrina sat down and flipped through the Nurses' Ball photo album. Sabrina prayed for an answer and then noticed the picture of Lucy Coe. Sabrina wondered if perhaps Lucy could help. Faison called out for Dr. Obrecht who had been hiding in the suite. Faison ripped off his mask as Dr. Obrecht assured him that everything was in place as he had instructed. However, she cautioned him to reconsider because it was too risky. Dr. Obrecht feared that Anna's arrival in Switzerland would be his undoing. Faison sternly reminded the doctor that he was in charge. He claimed that Robert hadn't given him a choice, so Faison had been forced to take a calculated risk to make Anna his.

12/10 In the General Hospital locker room, Sabrina looked over a Nurses' Ball scrapbook that Robin had assembled for Emma. She wondered out loud if Lucy Coe could be the fairy godmother that would save the day. Elizabeth overheard her and remarked that Lucy was not the fairy godmother type.

Elizabeth said that Lucy was one of a kind and proceeded to tell Sabrina about some of Lucy's escapades, including how she had married Alan in a red dress, had shown up at Lila's funeral in a red dress, was a big flirt, and had auctioned off her clothes in an impromptu striptease when donations at one of the Nurses' Balls had lagged. Sabrina thought that Lucy sounded interesting and wondered how to reach Lucy, after Elizabeth said that she was sure that Lucy would help if she could. Felix, who had been eavesdropping, said that he knew Lucy, because he worked as a sales rep for her company, CoeCo, selling cosmetics to help pay for his nursing school tuition. Felix wanted creative control, top billing, an assistant, and a private dressing room in exchange for an introduction to Lucy, but settled for Sabrina's offer to take bedpan duty for two months. Elizabeth was impressed by Sabrina's selflessness and determination to make the Nurses' Ball a reality.

In a Swiss hotel, Anna pounded on Duke's door. She broke in when there was no answer and met face-to-face with Faison. She screamed and backed away. Faison told Anna that she was more beautiful than ever. Anna said that Robert was right, that Faison had been masquerading as Duke. Faison pretended not to know what Anna was talking about. He called for his henchman, Klaus, who dragged the real Duke, bound and gagged, into the room. Anna screamed for Faison to let Duke go. Duke struggled, but Klaus hit him in the head with his gun butt. Faison asked Anna why she wasted herself on men like Scorpio, Luke, and Duke. Klaus put the gun to Duke's head when Faison told Klaus to shoot Duke. Faison told Anna that in time, she would forget Duke. Anna said, "Never," and struggled with Klaus for the gun. Faison got behind Anna with a syringe and injected her with a drug. Anna slumped to the floor, unconscious. Faison could not resist telling a still bound, but ungagged, Duke how clever Faison had been after Robert had figured out that Faison had been impersonating Duke. Faison said that he had cleverly gotten Anna to Switzerland so that she could see Duke and Faison in the same room. Faison told Duke that he no longer needed him and brandished a gun. Duke shouted to Anna that everything was a lie and that he still loved her. A shot rang out. Instead of shooting Duke, Faison killed Klaus. Duke was puzzled, but Faison said it was a necessary sacrifice so that Anna would believe that Duke had saved her from Faison, who would conveniently disappear, never to be found again. Faison threatened to shoot Duke again, but Anna seemed on the verge of rousing as the real Duke vowed his love, so Faison called for Dr. Obrecht to collect Duke and take him back to the clinic. Anna awoke with faux Duke, Faison, holding her in his arms. She noticed the deceased Klaus, whom faux Duke, said he had shot in a struggle to save Anna. He added that Faison had escaped. Anna wanted to follow Faison's trail, but faux Duke insisted that Anna was safe and that there was no need to worry because Faison was long gone. Anna cried as the imposter, with a smug smile on his face, hugged her closely.

12/11 In the hotel suite, Faison, disguised as Duke, called to check in with Dr. Obrecht. She assured him that Duke was confined and that Robin had been moved to a secure location, so neither would be able to tell the police the truth about Faison. Faison was confident that their ruse had worked because Anna had seen Duke and Faison next to each other, so she shouldn't question Duke's identity again. Dr. Obrecht praised Faison's brilliant move. Seconds later, John and Robert arrived at the clinic. John showed Dr. Obrecht his badge and introduced himself and then added that Robert was a consultant with Interpol. John showed the doctor the picture of Faison that A.J. had provided and then asked her if she recognized the man in the picture. Dr. Obrecht denied that she had ever seen them man in the picture, so they showed her a picture of A.J, who had claimed that the man in the first picture had been at the facility. Dr. Obrecht recalled treating A.J. but insisted that Faison had never been at the clinic. John pulled out a warrant that the local police department had given to him, so he could search the clinic. Dr. Obrecht stiffened and asked to see the picture of the first man that John had shown her. John held up the cell phone to show her the picture of Faison. Dr. Obrecht pretended to suddenly recall the man and explained that he'd had plastic surgery after sustaining burns to the face, which was why she had barely recognized him. Dr. Obrecht assured them that the man was long gone. Robert pretended to be outraged and demanded that she tell them what she knew. John played the good cop by hustling Robert away under the guise of trying to calm him down. Once they were out of earshot, John reminded Robert not to overplay their hand because the warrant was actually a Chinese menu. Dr. Obrecht called Faison to let him know that John and Robert had been snooping around. She bragged that she had managed to get rid of them, but seconds later, John snatched the phone out of the doctor's hand. Dr. Obrecht refused to tell them where Faison was, but John was confident that they could have the call traced.

12/12 In Lucerne, Faison, disguised as Duke, suggested that he and Anna continue things in the bedroom. Anna agreed, so he kissed her, but a knock on the door interrupted them. Faison assumed that it was room service, but it was Robert and John. "Scorpio, you've got to be kidding," Faison growled as Robert and John entered the suite. Anna demanded to know what Robert and John were doing there, so Robert and John revealed that Faison was alive. Robert and John were surprised when Anna admitted that she knew about Faison and that she had already alerted Interpol. Robert and John questioned her about her encounter with Faison. Anna told Robert and John that she had seen Duke and Faison together at the same time, so Faison couldn't have been masquerading as Duke. Satisfied that his ruse had worked, Faison demanded an apology from Robert, but Robert refused to concede that he had been wrong. Faison smugly accused Robert of grasping at straws to make sense of an absurd theory, which Faison insisted stemmed from jealousy because Anna had picked Duke over Robert. John told Anna about his and Robert's visit to the clinic where they had met Dr. Obrecht. Anna's interest was piqued when John revealed that they had caught Dr. Obrecht sneaking a call to the man that Anna believed was Duke. Faison tried to talk his way out of it, so John showed Anna the phone that he had confiscated from the doctor and then hit redial to see who Dr. Obrecht had called. Moments later, Faison's phone buzzed. Faison ranted, as he accused Robert and John of buying a disposable phone and then making the call to fabricate evidence.

Anna became increasingly upset and complained about the heat. John admitted that his instincts had told him to turn up the temperature in the suite. John noticed that everyone was perspiring except for "Duke." Faison tried to explain his lack of sweat by reminding them that he had spent years in a Turkish prison, but Robert and John didn't believe him. Robert reminded Anna that Faison had been a covert operative who had had access to state-of-the-art resources that would have allowed him to make himself the perfect likeness of Duke Lavery. Desperate, Faison reminded Anna that she had seen with her own eyes that Duke and Faison were not the same person. Faison implored Anna to leave with him. Robert and John were stunned when Anna agreed and then asked Faison to take her to a special place where she and Duke had once been snowed in. Faison assured her that he remembered, but Anna pulled away from him because the story had been a test, which he had failed because she and Duke had never been snowed in. Faison tried to talk his way out of it as he stormed to the door, but Robert intercepted him. Robert threw a clear chemical onto Faison's face. Faison crumpled to the ground, screaming in agony, while Robert and John watched dispassionately. Robert explained that the chemical dissolved latex. Anna was horrified when the mask melted away to reveal Faison's face. Faison insisted that he loved her, but Anna refused to listen. John quickly notified Interpol that they had captured Faison, so Robert and John restrained Faison until the Interpol agents arrived. Later, Faison was about to be hauled away when Anna stopped the agents. Faison's eyes filled with hope as Anna approached him. His joy quickly turned to shock when she punched him in the jaw.

12/13 At the nurses' station, Patrick complimented Sabrina's elf hat. Sabrina smiled as she explained that she had been in a festive mood. Patrick assured Sabrina that it was appreciated because there were too many Scrooges at the hospital. Sabrina confessed that she loved Christmas and that she was working with the kids in pediatrics to sing Christmas carols. Patrick was impressed. Their conversation quickly drifted to the topic of the Nurses' Ball. Patrick was surprised when he realized that Sabrina was once again hopeful of finding a sponsor. Sabrina told Patrick about Lucy Coe and Felix's connection to Lucy. Patrick recalled Robin mentioning Lucy, so he knew that Lucy had played an important role in past Nurses' Balls. Sabrina was positively giddy at the prospect of Lucy's help, that she jumped with joy. Patrick got caught up in Sabrina's enthusiasm, so he hugged her without warning. Sabrina momentarily froze, but then slowly slid her hands around Patrick's shoulders, while Britt lurked nearby, watching with barely undisguised anger. Britt plastered on a smile as she approached Patrick and Sabrina to ask what they were celebrating. Patrick revealed that Sabrina had managed to find new hope for the Nurses' Ball. Sabrina added that Felix knew Lucy Coe, so Lucy might be able to help sponsor the charity event. Moments later, Lulu walked up to ask to speak to Britt privately. After Britt reluctantly led Lulu to a quiet corner, Sabrina spotted Felix and called out to him. Sabrina invited Felix to tell Patrick all about the meeting with Lucy. Felix seemed reluctant to discuss it, so he frantically looked around until his gaze landed on the mistletoe hanging above Patrick and Sabrina. To Sabrina's horror, Felix urged Patrick to kiss her. After a little prodding, Patrick agreed, but just then Britt reappeared. "Is that mistletoe?" Britt innocently asked and then kissed Patrick. "That sneaky bitch," Felix growled under his breath to Sabrina. After the kiss, Britt asked if Sabrina and Felix were on their way to New York City.

Felix turned the tables on Britt by inviting Patrick to join Sabrina and Felix on the trip. Patrick explained that he couldn't leave town because he had promised to decorate a tree with Emma. Felix insisted that Emma could join them and that Patrick and Sabrina could take Emma to see the tree in Rockefeller Center and then go ice-skating. Patrick was tempted but ultimately declined. Britt walked away with Patrick and suggested that she stop by to help Patrick and Emma decorate the tree. Patrick thought about his last Christmas with Robin when he and Robin had posed for a picture with Emma and then had looked out the window, hoping to spot Santa's sleigh. "Maybe," Patrick told Britt and then added that he would text her to let her know. Britt's brittle smile hid her disappointment as he walked away. Nearby, Sabrina was upset that Felix had invited Patrick to New York City. Felix refused to apologize, so Sabrina made it clear that any idea of a romance between Sabrina and Patrick was all in Felix's head. Felix disagreed, but Sabrina insisted that Patrick was still grieving for his wife. Meanwhile, Patrick arrived home. He flipped on the lights and stopped short when he saw Robin standing by the fireplace.

At the clinic in Switzerland, Robin looked at the calendar on the wall and realized that it was almost Christmas. She imagined that Patrick and Emma had decorated the Christmas tree and then became homesick because she wished that she could see it. Robin quietly confessed that she missed her husband and daughter. Moments later, Dr. Obrecht entered and deposited a food tray on Robin's table. The glass of juice tipped over, so the doctor nervously righted it and announced, "Dinner." Robin sensed that something was troubling the doctor, so she invited the doctor to talk about it. Dr. Obrecht unlocked one of Robin's handcuffs, but ignored Robin's attempt to get the doctor to open up. Robin decided to goad the doctor by making several snide remarks about the doctor's unethical behavior. "Be quiet," Dr. Obrecht snapped. Robin was pleased because she had struck a nerve, so Robin pointed out that Dr. Obrecht could tell her anything, since Robin wasn't in a position to tell anyone. Dr. Obrecht angrily revealed that Faison had been captured. Robin immediately perked up as she tried to find out what had happened and if her parents had been involved. Dr. Obrecht bragged that Anna had easily fallen for Faison's brilliant plan, but Robin didn't believe her because Faison had clearly been caught. Robin was certain that Anna and Robert had put the pieces together, but Dr. Obrecht insisted that Robin's parents could "go to hell." The doctor was upset because Faison had left her to deal with the fallout.

Robin urged Dr. Obrecht to release her and promised that she would speak on the doctor's behalf to garner leniency from Anna and Robert. Dr. Obrecht was unmoved, even when Robin appealed to the doctor's compassionate nature that had led Dr. Obrecht into medicine to begin with. Robin insisted that the doctor shouldn't have to pay for Faison's crimes, but Dr. Obrecht had complete faith that Faison would find a way out of his predicament. Robin warned the doctor that it was only a matter of time before Anna and Robert tracked Robin down, so it would be in the doctor's best interest that Robin not be found handcuffed to a bed. Dr. Obrecht decided that Robin was a liability that needed to be removed, along with another patient. Robin realized that someone else was a prisoner at the clinic, so she demanded to know who it was, but Dr. Obrecht refused to tell her. Later, Dr. Obrecht made her way down the clinic's hallway with a lethal-looking syringe in her hand. She debated who to inject first: Robin or Duke. Seconds later, Anna slammed into Dr. Obrecht and shoved the doctor against the wall. The syringe fell out of Dr. Obrecht's grip as Robert walked up behind Anna. Anna demanded that Dr. Obrecht tell Anna everything, but the doctor refused to cooperate. Anna decided to try another tactic. Dr. Obrecht shrieked when Anna decided to search each room. Anna threw open the door closest to her and stopped short. "Oh, my God," Anna whispered in shock.

12/17 Patrick arrived home. He opened the door and saw Robin hanging stockings by the fireplace. Robin asked Patrick if was going to help with the decorating. Before he could respond, Mac entered with Emma, and Robin disappeared. Patrick sent Emma to put on her pajamas and said that they would finish decorating the tree after Emma was dressed for bed. Patrick thanked Mac for taking care of Emma. Mac said he would do anything for either Emma or Patrick and noted that Patrick looked like he had just seen a ghost. Patrick said that he had. Patrick told Mac that he had just seen Robin. Patrick swore that he was not taking drugs and that it was the first time that he'd had a hallucination since he had gotten clean. Patrick wondered if he was going crazy, Mac was very caring. He told Patrick that grief did crazy things to people and that just when a person thought that he had a handle on it, grief could blindside that person in another way. Mac shared that he had gone Christmas shopping for everyone in the family and that on his way back to the car, he had stopped short because he realized that he had not gotten a gift for Robin. Mac said that he had pulled out his phone and had been about to call to get a gift suggestion before it dawned on him that Robin was gone. Mac told Patrick to cut himself some slack because it was Patrick and Emma's first Christmas without Robin. Patrick said that the previous Christmas with Robin was still as clear as day in his mind. Emma returned and wanted Mac to stay and help them decorate, but Mac said that he had to see Maxie in the hospital. When Emma worried, both Mac and Patrick quickly assured her that Maxie was not ill, but doing something incredibly generous and brave. After the tree was trimmed, Emma asked if they could also hang a stocking for Robin, just in case Santa did not know that Robin's stocking was hanging in heaven and delivered Robin's presents to Emma and Patrick's home instead. Patrick was touched as he hugged Emma, and they hung Robin's stocking. After Emma was in bed, Patrick returned to the living room and looked at the stockings. The stocking with his name on it fell to the floor. When Patrick picked it up, he found a present addressed to him from Robin.

Sabrina and Felix journeyed to CoeCoe headquarters in New York City to meet with Lucy Coe about the Nurses' Ball. Sabrina was nervous about meeting Lucy. Felix tried to calm her down as he told stories, which were seen in flashbacks, about Lucy the librarian and Lucy's red dress wedding. Sabrina became even more nervous when Felix admitted that he had embellished his relationship to Lucy, who he had never met, and that the reason that he knew so much about her was because he had read Lucy's biography. Felix encouraged Sabrina to be strong, but as they were about to enter Lucy's office, senior VP Bree denied them entrance. Felix played his "top sales rep" card, but Bree told him she knew all the top producers, and Felix was not among them, and in fact, he was about to be replaced. Felix folded and was ready to leave, but Sabrina was made of stronger stuff. Sabrina sat down and said that she would not leave until she was allowed to meet with Lucy because Lucy was the only one who could help them. Bree listened as Sabrina outlined the original purpose of the Nurses' Ball and Lucy's unstinting contributions to it. Bree was touched and allowed Sabrina and Felix access to Lucy, who appeared delighted to meet them.

At the clinic in Switzerland, Robert and Anna overpowered Dr. Obrecht and forced their way into a room where they found the real Duke shackled to a bed. Duke was overjoyed to see them. He called Anna his hero and kissed her hand. He urged them to free him so that they could flee Faison. Anna said that Faison was in custody. Robert plucked at Duke's face and was relieved to find that it was real. Duke said that Robert could do any test he wanted to, but he urged them to move quickly because Dr. Obrecht was one of Faison's minions and would do anything that Faison asked of her. Robert left to pursue Dr. Obrecht. Duke told Anna how Faison had made Duke relive every memory. Anna complimented Duke on the little inconsistencies that he had thrown in. She said that it had been those little inconsistencies that had eventually led Robert to figure out Faison was masquerading as Duke. Duke said that he had realized that a false memory had ruined Faison's plan because Faison had been very angry with Duke a few weeks before. Duke said that he had thought that Anna had been the one to discover Faison's plot. After thinking about it, Duke concluded that only Robin knew him well enough to have foiled Faison's plan. Anna told Duke about Robin's death and about the tip that she had gotten from Heather Webber that had eventually led her to the very clinic where Faison had been holding Duke.

At the time, Anna had concluded that Heather had been playing mind games. However, in light of this new information, Anna wondered if Robin might also be alive. Duke said that anything was possible and that if Robin were alive, he and Anna would find her. Dr. Obrecht escaped to Robin's room, but instead of freeing Robin, Dr. Obrecht said that she had to eliminate Robin before Robin's parents found her. Robin begged to go back to her daughter but Dr. Obrecht feared what Faison would do to her if she did not follow his instructions. Robin realized that Robert and Anna were in the clinic and started screaming for them. Dr. Obrecht stuck a gag in Robin's mouth, but not before Robert heard Robins screams. Robert rushed into the room and pushed Dr. Obrecht away from Robin. He removed the gag and the leg restraints, but Dr. Obrecht rushed at Robert with a syringe before he could free Robin's hands. Robert struggled with the doctor who managed to plunge the syringe into Robert's chest. As Robert sank to the floor, Robin demanded to know what the syringe had contained. Minutes later, Anna and Duke entered the room. Anna cried out, "Oh, my God!"

12/18 At CoeCoe Cosmetics, Sabrina and Felix met infamous Lucy Coe. Lucy assumed the young couple was there because they were top-selling sales representatives, known as "Golden Ducks," so she invited them to call her Lucy. Sabrina revealed that they lived in Port Charlesand had sought Lucy out because they needed Lucy's help with the Nurses' Ball. Lucy smiled as she confessed that she had fond memories of the annual event. Sabrina admitted that she had heard that Lucy had been a driving force behind the ball, so Sabrina had hoped that Lucy would agree to underwrite the event. Lucy confessed that she was strapped for cash, so she suggested that Sabrina and Felix approach people like the Quartermaines, Todd Manning, and even Sonny Corinthos. Sabrina revealed that, for various reasons, none of the people that Lucy had mentioned could help. Sabrina and Felix pointed out that Lucy had a successful cosmetics empire, so they couldn't understand why Lucy couldn't help. Sabrina insisted that it was more important than ever to host the Nurses' Ball because Robin had died the past spring. Lucy had known Robin and had heard about the tragedy. Sabrina revealed that Robin's brilliant neurosurgeon husband was committed to keeping Robin's legacy alive to ensure that Robin's life had stood for something. Sabrina decided to call Patrick so that Lucy could talk to him, but Patrick's voicemail picked up. Lucy explained that it wouldn't help to talk to Patrick because her assets had been frozen. Sabrina and Felix were shocked, so Lucy confided that she had been accused of setting up a pyramid scheme. Lucy assured them that the charges were false, but she wouldn't have access to her money in time to help with the Nurses' Ball. Sabrina and Felix were disappointed, but Sabrina decided to leave her phone number with Lucy in case something changed. "Red velvet cupcake," Lucy said as she studied Sabrina's coloring. Felix grinned because he had recommended the same shade of lipstick to Sabrina. Sabrina smiled and handed the slip of paper to Lucy. Later, Lucy thought about the past Nurses' Balls that she had emceed. Afterwards, she picked up the piece of paper with Sabrina's phone number scribbled on it.

At the Drake residence, Patrick looked at the dvd that had a note from Robin attached, instructing him to watch it alone. Patrick slid the dvd into the player and then sat down to watch. Robin appeared on the television screen with the previous year's Christmas tree in the background. Patrick's eyes filled with tears as she explained that he had just left the room to put Emma to bed and that they'd just enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve together as a family. Robin reminded him of how she had cried when he had given her the deed to the land where they had planned to build their dream home. He had assumed that they had been tears of joy, but in truth, she had cried because she had realized that she would never see their home built nor have the opportunity to have more children with Patrick. Robin confessed that her HIV status had deteriorated, so she only had a short time to live. Patrick wept as he watched his wife talk about how she had been reluctant to ruin their Christmas by revealing that her drug protocols weren't working. Robin had wanted to have one last happy Christmas as a family, so she had kept quiet about her condition. She confided that she intended to hide the DVD, so that Patrick wouldn't find it until 2012. Robin anticipated that Patrick would be sad and having difficulty moving on without her, so she implored him not to cut himself off from the possibility of finding love again. She explained that she wanted their daughter to grow up in a happy home, so Patrick needed to open his heart. Patrick wiped away tears, unaware that his cell phone was vibrating as Sabrina called. Meanwhile, Robin's message continued as she revealed that she had picked someone out to replace her. "Elizabeth," Robin said. Robin explained that Elizabeth would be perfect because Patrick and Elizabeth were already friends, and she would make a wonderful mother to Emma. However, Robin realized that women were probably lined up for Patrick, so she assured him that she didn't mind if he picked someone else, but she threatened to haunt him if he picked the wrong woman.

At the hospital, Britt thanked Elizabeth for helping with a patient, so she invited Elizabeth out for a drink as a show of appreciation. Elizabeth was surprised because she and Britt had never socialized before. Britt recalled a couple of times when they had talked, but confessed that her night was free because Patrick had blown her off. Elizabeth decided to take a rain check because she had picked up the newly released DVD of Christina Comes Home for Christmas, which she planned to watch with Cameron and Aiden. Britt confessed that she had never liked the old black-and-white movie and then complained that it was always on television. Elizabeth admitted that it was a tradition to watch it in her household, so she had wanted to surprise her boys with the DVD.

At the mention of children, Britt pounced on the opportunity to reveal that she had offered to help Patrick and Emma decorate the Christmas tree, but Patrick hadn't called her. Britt was certain that Patrick was strongly attracted to her, so she couldn't understand why he had suddenly pulled back. Elizabeth pointed out that perhaps Patrick had simply wanted to decorate the tree with his daughter. Britt questioned Elizabeth about the sudden cold shoulder. Britt suspected that it was because Sabrina had talked about her. Elizabeth suggested that they not act like they were in high school, but Britt believed that she was entitled to full disclosure, since she was certain that Sabrina had a crush on Patrick. Britt wanted to know what Sabrina had said, but Elizabeth refused to betray Sabrina. However, Elizabeth reminded Britt that Elizabeth and Sabrina worked together on the Nurses' Ball committee. Britt was curious if Elizabeth found it odd that Sabrina had decided to make the Nurses' Ball her pet project. Elizabeth had no idea what Britt was talking about, so Britt accused Sabrina of using the Nurses' Ball to make a move on Patrick. "It's nothing but 'Robin, Robin, Robin'," Britt complained. Elizabeth admitted hat Sabrina would be better for Patrick than Britt could ever hope to be. Britt was certain that Elizabeth was joking, but Elizabeth made it clear that she was very serious. Elizabeth accused Britt of intentionally showing Sabrina the hotel room key, so that Sabrina would know about Britt's hook-up with Patrick. Britt insisted that she wasn't ashamed of her love life, like "some people."

Elizabeth called Britt out for attacking people where they were most vulnerable. Britt was unapologetic, so Elizabeth warned Britt that everyone saw how Britt treated Sabrina like dirt when Patrick wasn't around. Elizabeth was confident that Patrick would eventually see Britt for who she really was because Britt was transparent. Britt bragged that Patrick enjoyed her company more every day. "But he didn't call you tonight, did he?" Elizabeth asked. Elizabeth insisted that Sabrina, unlike Britt, understood that Patrick was grieving. Elizabeth was certain that Patrick would rather be with someone genuine like Sabrina rather than a spiteful person like Britt. Moments later, Britt's phone rang. Britt smiled smugly as she greeted Patrick. Patrick apologized for not calling her earlier, but he invited her over for a drink. Britt quickly agreed to meet him and ended the call. "I'm sorry, you were saying?" Britt asked with a smirk.

Later, Britt arrived at Patrick's house. Patrick explained that her offer to help him and Emma decorate the tree had reminded him of everything that he had lost when Robin had died. Britt assured him that she understood and then surprised him with eggnog and bourbon. She then asked where Emma was because she had picked up Christina Comes Home for Christmas for them to watch. Patrick admitted that it was one of his favorite movies and then asked her how she had managed to get her hands on a copy because every place that he had tried had been sold out of the DVD. Patrick insisted that they watch it right away. He gently removed Robin's DVD from the player and then inserted the movie. Later, Britt handed Patrick a tissue, so that he could wipe away a tear during a touching part of the movie and then cuddled up next to him. Later, Elizabeth spotted Sabrina, so she asked Sabrina about the trip. "Two words: epic fail," Sabrina answered. Sabrina explained that Lucy had been their last hope, so Sabrina decided to go to Patrick's house to tell him that the Nurses' Ball would not happen in 2013. Elizabeth advised Sabrina to wait, but Sabrina remained determined. Elizabeth gently explained that Patrick had company.

At the clinic in Switzerland, Anna was horrified when she saw Robert on the ground with a large syringe sticking out of his chest. Robert's eyes were open, but he was unresponsive. Duke fetched a pillow to place under Robert's head as Anna begged Robert not to die. Robert fought his way to consciousness to repeatedly mumble, "Find her." Duke dashed out to find a doctor, while Anna stayed with Robert and pleaded with him to keep fighting.

A short time later, Duke returned with a doctor in tow. The doctor quickly examined Robert, but didn't know what to do to help him. The doctor decided to fetch Dr. Obrecht, since it was her wing, but Anna explained that Dr. Obrecht had hurt Robert. Meanwhile, Duke discovered a vial with a label that indicated that it had contained profonol. The doctor warned Anna that there was nothing that he could do to help Robert, but Anna implored the doctor to help. The doctor decided that he could try one thing, so he ran out to fetch what he needed. Later, Robert appeared to be resting as Anna, Duke, and the doctor stood next to the bed. The doctor explained that there weren't any guarantees, so all they could do was wait. Duke insisted that Robert was too stubborn to die, so he was confident that Robert would recover. Anna hoped that Duke was right, especially since Robert appeared to have been trying to tell her something. At an undisclosed location, Robin struggled against the ropes that bound her tightly to a chair. Dr. Obrecht ordered Robin to be quiet. Moments later, someone entered the cabin. Robin glared at the person as Dr. Obrecht explained that Faison had been captured. Jerry Jacks smiled charmingly as he dismissed the doctor. After Dr. Obrecht left, Jerry knelt down in front of Robin as he tried to figure out what he was going to do with her.
