Frisco & Felicia #32 February 4 - April 8, 2013: 2 1/2 hours, 4 hours total
DVD #32A 2/4 At the Floating Rib, Mac and Felicia discussed Maxie's pregnancy. Felicia mentioned the pet names that Frisco had called her when Felicia had been pregnant. Mac let his jealousy show, but they shared a kiss and made up. Kevin entered the bar, and both Mac and Felicia were glad to see him. Kevin said that he had gone to see Lucy, but she had not loosened her grip on the vampire delusions. Kevin said that he loved Lucy, but it had been her insistence that she was a vampire slayer that had caused their breakup.
Kevin said that once Lucy had gained success with her cosmetics company, the vampire fantasies had seemed to recede. Felicia wondered if the company's financial difficulties had somehow caused the fantasies to reemerge. Kevin thought that it might be a possible explanation but pointed out that Lucy seemed very focused on John McBain. He said that he had been to Ferncliff to see Lucy and had told her that he loved her, all the while begging her to accept that vampires were not real.
Felecia said that perhaps they were to Lucy, because Lucy had been genuinely terrified when John had entered the courtroom. Felecia and Mac both told Kevin not to give up on Lucy so easily, because Kevin still loved her, Lucy was still his wife, and she needed him. Kevin acknowledged that Mac and Felicia had been through some rough times but had managed to find their way back to each other. Felicia said that she knew that Mac would always be there for her.
Before taking his leave, Kevin said that he was happy for both Mac and Felicia but added that they did not have a vampire between them. Mac jokingly said that they had Frisco. After Kevin was gone, Mac and Felicia hugged and told each other that nothing would get in their way. Mac went to the back room to check on supplies. While he was gone, Frisco walked into the bar. Felicia was stunned to see him.
2/5 At the Floating Rib, Mac kissed Felicia then headed to the stockroom to work. Felicia heard someone enter the bar, so she turned to tell the person that the bar was closed. Felicia was stunned when she saw Frisco standing at the bar. "It's good to see you," Frisco told Felicia. Felicia wondered what Frisco was doing in Port Charles, so he explained that he had received her message. Felicia argued that she had left the message with his handler two months earlier.
Frisco promised her that he had been given the message as soon as he had resurfaced. Moments later, Mac returned from the stockroom and stopped in his tracks when he saw Frisco. Frisco held out his hand to Mac, but Mac didn't make a move to shake Frisco's hand until Frisco commented that his arm was getting tired. Mac reluctantly shook Frisco's hand and noted that Frisco looked tired. Frisco wasn't surprised because it had been a long trip, and a life of covert operations and dodging bullets had probably taken its toll.
Mac sarcastically wondered what had dragged Frisco away from the adventures long enough to grace them with Frisco's presence. "My daughter's pregnant," Frisco answered. Frisco thought that it was time to pay Maxie a visit, even though she was carrying someone else's baby. Mac was curious why Frisco hadn't bothered to visit when Maxie had been on trial for her life or when Georgie had been killed. "I was in the field," Frisco replied defensively, but Mac thought that Frisco's absence had been a testament to Frisco's priorities.
However, Mac wondered how Frisco had found out about Maxie's pregnancy. "From my wife," Frisco answered. Felicia smiled nervously as Mac reminded Frisco that Frisco and Felicia were no longer married. Felicia admitted that she had reached out to Frisco because she had been worried about Maxie. Frisco appreciated that Mac and Felicia had history, but Frisco was curious why any of it was Mac's business. Mac reminded Frisco that Mac, not Frisco, had raised Maxie and Georgie.
Mac then informed Frisco that Mac and Felicia were back together. Frisco congratulated them and offered to buy them a drink, but the bartender had obviously left. Mac explained that he was the bartender. Frisco made a remark about Mac returning to his roots and then asked Mac to fix a gin martini with a twist and no olives, while Frisco freshened up. After Frisco left, Mac demanded to know why Felicia hadn't mentioned that she had contacted Frisco or hadn't let Frisco know that she was back with Mac.
Felicia admitted that it had never occurred to her to discuss her love life. Mac feared that she was embarrassed to be dating a bartender because it wasn't as exciting as what Frisco did for a living. Felicia insisted that it didn't matter to her because she felt lucky to be with a man like Mac. Felicia explained that she hadn't told Frisco about their relationship because it hadn't been any of Frisco's business. Felicia insisted that her connection with Frisco started and ended with Maxie. Felicia promised that she was with Mac, and nothing could change that. Mac relaxed and kissed Felicia. Moments later, Frisco returned.
2/11 At GH, Maxie got off the elevator and ignored a call from "Dad."
2/12 At the Haunted Star, Mac entered as Lulu read an article in the Sun about Johnny's twenty-year prison sentence. Mac thought that Johnny had been given a light sentence for someone who had killed two people during the commission of a felony. According to Mac, Johnny could have easily ended up with two consecutive life sentences. Lulu agreed that Johnny deserved to be punished for what he had done, but she confessed that she was going to miss him because he had been a good partner. Mac was confident that Lulu would do a fine job of running the nightclub on her own because it was in her blood.
Mac looked around at the Valentine's Day decorations and assured Lulu that the Haunted Star looked great. Lulu thanked him, so Mac confessed that he was there to pick up two tickets for the nightclub's Valentine's Day celebration because he wanted to dazzle Felicia with romance. He confided that he was concerned about Frisco. Lulu was surprised about Frisco's return because Maxie hadn't mentioned it. Mac revealed that Felicia had reached out to Frisco to let Frisco know about Maxie's pregnancy. Mac suspected that Frisco had returned to woo Felicia under the guise of checking up on Maxie.
Lulu doubted that Felicia would fall for Frisco's charms because Felicia was wiser and would be able to recognize the difference between the trappings of romance and the value of building a life with someone like Mac. Lulu reminded Mac that Mac had been the one to raise Felicia's daughters and that he had made Felicia happy, while Frisco had let Felicia down more times than Felicia could count. According to Lulu, Frisco was a flame that would eventually burn out, while Mac was a rock that would last forever. Mac thanked Lulu for the reality check, bought his tickets, and left.
At the Floating Rib, Felicia tried to reach for a glass on the top shelf behind the bar when a man's hand suddenly grabbed the glass and handed it to her. Felicia assumed that it had been Mac, so she thanked him. "Wrong husband," Frisco replied with a charming smile. Felicia ignored Frisco's flirting as she asked him if he had talked to Maxie. Frisco's smile fell when he admitted that Maxie refused to return any of his phone calls.
Felicia admitted that it had taken Maxie a long time to warm to Felicia because Maxie had been very angry. Felicia reminded Frisco that their daughter had every right to feel that way because they had both been terrible parents who hadn't been there for either of their daughters. Felicia advised Frisco to own up to his mistakes and to keep trying. Frisco was curious what else he could do, so Felicia pointed out that Maxie didn't have any reason to trust a father who had repeatedly let his daughters down. Frisco pointed out that he was there at that moment, but Felicia warned Frisco that it wasn't enough.
Frisco insisted that he had finally realized what was important. He stepped close to Felicia, but she quickly put some distance between them as she urged him to make an effort to show Maxie that he was sincere in his desire to make things right. She also advised Frisco to not give up if Maxie pushed him away. Felicia was confident that Frisco could prove his love to Maxie by being patient. Frisco wondered if that was what Felicia had done. Felicia admitted that it hadn't happened fast enough, but eventually she and Maxie had patched things up, and they were closer than they had ever been.
Frisco was encouraged, but he confessed that Maxie wasn't the only reason that he had returned to Port Charles. "I came back for you too," Frisco revealed. Felicia was surprised, so Frisco explained that he had always loved her. Felicia reminded him of all of the times that she had chased after him and he had dumped her in various "godforsaken spots" to embark on another adventure. Frisco admitted that he had been an idiot who had been lost. Felicia argued that he had been doing his job, which had been important because it had saved lives, but it hadn't given Frisco any room in his life for a family.
Felicia was curious why Frisco was suddenly trying to change the rules. According to Frisco, he had realized that life was about more than just a job; everything he had ever wanted was in Port Charles. Felicia reminded him that she had heard it before from him. Frisco realized that he had let Felicia and their daughters down, but he insisted that he was back and eager to start over with Felicia and Maxie. Frisco was certain that Felicia wanted the same thing because she still loved him. Felicia accused Frisco of having an inflated ego, but Frisco argued that it wasn't an answer.
Felicia made it clear that she wasn't available, but Frisco was curious if what she had with Mac was better than what she'd had with Frisco. Felicia insisted that it wasn't a fair question, but Frisco disagreed. Frisco conceded that Mac was a decent guy, but they both knew that Felicia was settling with Mac. Felicia was outraged, so Frisco assured her that he respected Mac and thought that Mac was a good man; however, what Felicia and Frisco had shared had been special. Felicia argued that she and Frisco were in the past and that three quarters of their relationship had been an illusion.
Frisco doubted that Felicia believed that because they were meant to be together. Moments later, Mac walked up. Felicia explained that she and Frisco had been talking about Maxie and how Frisco thought that he could just show up and expect everyone to forget about the past. Mac reminded Frisco that Mac had been the one to raise Frisco's daughters and make Frisco's absence okay for them, but there had always been an underlying hurt in Maxie and Georgie because of their father's abandonment. Mac warned Frisco that some people might not be inclined to forgive when they had been hurt that deeply.
Frisco conceded that Mac had made a good point about forgiveness, so all Frisco could do was ask Felicia and Maxie to give Frisco another chance. Frisco invited Felicia and Maxie to join him for dinner, but Mac announced that Felicia had plans to spend Valentine's Day with him on the Haunted Star. Felicia smiled brightly when Mac showed her the tickets that he had hoped to surprise her with. Frisco watched as Felicia hugged and kissed Mac. Frisco confessed that he had never been a Valentine's Day guy because one day couldn't compare to a lifetime if a person was in love.
Mac smiled indulgently as he explained that Valentine's Day was about taking a moment to show a loved one that they were appreciated and to remind them that they were a priority. Felicia confessed that she loved champagne and chocolate, so she was grateful for Valentine's Day. Frisco asked Felicia to talk to Maxie about dinner as he pulled on his jacket. "Happy Valentine," Frisco told Felicia and left. Felicia asked Mac to ignore Frisco and then kissed Mac.
2/18 At the apartment, Maxie was on the phone with Britt. Maxie wondered if Britt had any friends with whom Britt could spend Valentine's Day instead of bothering Maxie. Maxie couldn't imagine what more Britt could want, since Maxie had helped Britt destroy Sabrina's credibility. Maxie thought that they had done enough to ruin Sabrina's life, but Britt appeared to want more. Maxie ordered Britt to stop hounding her and then ended the call when someone knocked on Maxie's door. It was Frisco.
"Dad?" Maxie asked, a little startled. Frisco held up a huge pink stuffed bear and wished his daughter a happy Valentine's Day. Maxie questioned her father's intention because she hadn't seen him since she had been seven years old, which meant that her sister, Georgie, hadn't even been old enough to talk. Maxie reminded Frisco that he had been absent for all of Maxie's life, but Frisco insisted that he wanted an opportunity to get to know her and to give her a chance to get to know him. Frisco asked his daughter for the same chance that she had given to Felicia.
Maxie agreed to take Frisco up on his offer to go somewhere to talk, but she made it clear that her motivation was to avoid being a third wheel when Spinelli arrived to spend the evening with Ellie. Frisco didn't mind, so Maxie wondered if he had a particular place in mind. Frisco recalled Mac surprising Felicia with tickets to the Valentine's Day party, so he suggested that they go to the Haunted Star.
Felicia stood on the deck of the Haunted Star, but her thoughts were on Frisco's declaration of love and his vow to persuade Felicia and Maxie to give him a second chance. Moments later, Mac draped his jacket over her shoulders and offered her a penny for her thoughts. Felicia smiled and smoothly lied that she had been thinking about him. Mac confessed that he was lucky to wake up to Felicia's beautiful face every morning and wondered what he had done to deserve it. Felicia insisted that she was the lucky one and suggested that they join the party, but Mac wasn't ready to share Felicia with everyone yet.
Later, Frisco and Maxie arrived for the Valentine's Day party. Maxie thought that the noise wasn't very conducive for a conversation, but Frisco merely smiled then pretended surprise when he spotted Mac and Felicia. Frisco suggested that they say hi and led Maxie over to Mac and Felicia. Mac was not pleased when he saw Frisco and asked what Frisco and Maxie were doing there. Frisco explained that Maxie had agreed to spend some time with Frisco to talk. Mac pointed out that a nightclub wasn't really the place for a talk.
Moments later, Steve and Olivia approached Maxie and Frisco. Steve introduced himself to Frisco, while Olivia demanded that someone get Maxie something to drink because Maxie was carrying Olivia's grandchild. Dante asked his mother to keep her voice down, but Olivia was unapologetic. Maxie became distracted when she spotted Sabrina, but Lulu snagged Maxie's attention by asking if Maxie was okay. Maxie wondered why she wouldn't be, so Lulu clarified that she had been referring to things between Maxie and Frisco. Maxie confided that she had left with Frisco to avoid Spinelli and Ellie, who were at the apartment.
Felicia was livid that Frisco had used their daughter to get closer to Felicia. Frisco denied it, but Felicia insisted that he had known that Felicia would be at the party with Mac. Moments later, Mac, who Lulu had spurred on to fight for Felicia, asked Felicia to dance. Felicia happily agreed and allowed Mac to lead her away. Frisco watched as Felicia and Mac kissed on the dance floor, so he decided to check on Maxie.
Frisco immediately sensed that Maxie was troubled, so Maxie urged him not to bother getting to know her because she wasn't worth it. Frisco wanted to know what Maxie had done.
February 19
Frisco wanted to know what was going on with Maxie, but Maxie asked her father to drop it. Frisco refused and reminded her that she could trust him because he was on her side. Maxie pointed to Sabrina and confessed that she had ruined Sabrina's life by making it appear that Sabrina had administered the wrong medication to a patient who had died. Frisco was curious why Maxie had done it, so Maxie blamed it on being a terrible person.
Frisco claimed that it had been his experience that even terrible people had motives for what they did. "My doctor hates her," Maxie revealed. Frisco wondered if Maxie's doctor was a friend, so Maxie clarified that she despised her doctor. Frisco was even more baffled as to why Maxie had agreed to help the doctor. Maxie was forced to confess that Britt had blackmailed Maxie because Maxie had made a horrible mistake. Frisco assured Maxie that nothing was unforgivable.
Maxie reluctantly revealed that she had miscarried Dante and Lulu's baby and then had had a one-night stand with Spinelli within hours of the miscarriage. Frisco was surprised when Maxie admitted that she was pregnant with Spinelli's baby, not Dante and Lulu's child. Maxie explained that she had decided to keep quiet about the baby because Spinelli had reconciled with Ellie, who genuinely cared about Spinelli. According to Maxie, Britt had used the information to force Maxie to sabotage Sabrina's life.
Frisco assured Maxie that Maxie wasn't a bad person, since she had sacrificed her own happiness for the sake of others. Maxie began to sob, so Frisco held his daughter. Later, Maxie sniffled as she revealed that she had been at peace with her decision to give her baby to Dante and Lulu until Britt had decided to blackmail Maxie. Maxie regretted what she had done to Sabrina, so Frisco promised to take care of everything. He reminded her that he had experience with dirty tricks.
3/1 Near the nurses' station, Frisco called Felicia, but her voicemail picked up. He warned her that she couldn't keep avoiding him because sooner or later she would have to admit the truth about her feelings for him. Frisco understood her reluctance to hurt Mac, but nothing could keep two people apart when they were meant to be together. "Who are you talking to?" Maxie asked as she suddenly appeared. Frisco quickly ended the call and claimed that he had been working on a project. He deftly changed the subject by asking how Maxie felt.
Maxie smiled and revealed that she was at the hospital on business, which made her feel useful rather than like a human incubator. Frisco wondered if she had heard from Britt. Maxie assured him that Britt hadn't made a peep since Frisco had had a talk with the despicable doctor. Maxie confessed that she felt terrible about the horrible "trick" that Britt had forced her to play on Sabrina. However, Maxie warned her father that there wasn't any guarantee that Britt would keep quiet about the baby being Maxie and Spinelli's child. Just then, Spinelli appeared.
Maxie breathed a sigh of relief when she realized that Spinelli hadn't heard what she had said. Spinelli had stopped to meet Maxie's legendary father, so Maxie made the introductions. Frisco's temper flared when he realized that Spinelli had been the one to break Maxie's heart.
Spinelli accused Frisco of being a hypocrite for acting like a concerned father when Frisco had abandoned his daughters at a very young age. Frisco was curious if Spinelli had recently been thrown through a wall. Maxie quickly intervened and warned her father to leave Spinelli alone. Maxie explained that she and Spinelli had worked things out, so they were in a good place.
After Spinelli left, Frisco looked at Spinelli with disdain as he growled, "That's the father of my grandchild?" Maxie defended Spinelli, but Frisco became distracted when he spotted Britt. Maxie noticed that Britt was on crutches, so she wondered what had happened. "Maybe she's clumsy," Frisco suggested. Maxie immediately suspected that her father had had something to do with Britt's accident, but decided to walk away rather than find out if her suspicions were warranted.
Frisco approached Britt and greeted her. Britt immediately accused him of causing her to fall. Frisco offered her a saccharine smile as he reminded her that accidents happened, especially to people with bad karma. Britt argued that she had left Maxie alone, so they were done. "It's over when I say so, Toots," Frisco warned her. Britt demanded to know what he wanted, so Frisco reminded her of Sabrina.
Britt told Frisco that the board had cleared Sabrina, but Frisco refused to leave Britt alone until he was certain that she wouldn't tell anyone about Maxie's baby. Britt assured him that he had her word that she wouldn't say anything, but Frisco wasn't satisfied. She wondered what else she could do to make him believe her. He promised to let her know and left.
At the Floating Rib, Mac ogled Felicia as she stood on a ladder and cleaned a top shelf. She glanced down and laughed when she realized what Mac had been doing. Mac helped Felicia down from the ladder and kissed her as Duke strolled into the bar. Mac warmly greeted Duke as Felicia's phone rang. She looked at the screen and told Mac that it was the wrong number, so Mac picked up the cleaning supplies and carried them to the basement while Felicia offered to fix Duke a drink. She wondered why he wasn't at work, so Duke explained that he was consulting on a special project that required him to work in the field.
Felicia hated that phrase and admitted that she'd prefer that a person just say that they weren't working. Duke insisted that nothing was simple about working at ELQ. He was grateful for the job, but it wasn't without its complications. As if on cue, Duke's phone rang. "Chief among them being Tracy Quartermaine," Duke added as he glanced at the phone's screen. Felicia confessed that he couldn't pay her enough to work at ELQ. Duke smiled and reminded Felicia that he hadn't been in a position to be picky.
Duke conceded that he had always associated the Quartermaines with "Darling Lila" rather than "Deadly Tracy." Felicia felt sorry for Tracy because Tracy had worked hard to make ELQ a success, only to have A.J. rip it away. Duke reminded Felicia that Tracy had had troubles with the Securities and Exchange Commission, but Felicia argued that Tracy wasn't the only Quartermaine to have had shady dealings. Duke agreed and admitted that he hadn't intended to cross Tracy, but he had. Concerned, Felicia wondered what he had done. Duke thought about the jar of Lila's pickle relish that he had stolen, but cryptically explained that he had borrowed something that Tracy wanted back.
Felicia was tempted to dig for details but decided that she had enough on her plate. Duke was curious if it had anything to do with the wrong number that she'd had earlier. Felicia admitted that it had been Frisco. Duke had heard that Frisco was back in town and had intended to call his old friend. Felicia encouraged Duke to spend some time catching up with Frisco and even go away for a short trip. Duke chuckled because he sensed that she had mixed emotions about Frisco. Felicia explained that Frisco had used Maxie's pregnancy as a pretext to return to town to woo Felicia back.
Duke reminded Felicia that he had only recently learned that Felicia and Frisco had been estranged, but she insisted that it had been more than that because she was committed to Mac. Felicia confided that Frisco believed that what she and Frisco had shared had been beyond compare. "Does it compare?" Duke wondered because he empathized with Frisco. Felicia argued that Frisco had left his family by choice, unlike Duke.
Felicia regretted all of the things that she had sacrificed for Frisco and was grateful that Mac had given her a second chance and an opportunity to repair her relationship with Maxie. Duke thought that it sounded like she had her answer, so he advised Felicia to tell Frisco in no uncertain terms that it was over. "Unless it isn't," Duke added. Felicia acknowledged that she and Frisco had history, but she insisted that it was impossible to have a relationship with someone who always left. Moments later, Frisco entered the bar.
Duke and Frisco exchanged warm greetings. Frisco smiled as he admitted that it seemed as if nothing had changed. Felicia looked past Frisco as Mac returned. Duke glanced at his phone when Tracy called again, so he explained that he had to attend to some business that couldn't wait. After Duke left, Mac was curious why Frisco was there. "Felicia," Frisco answered and then asked if Felicia had received his message. Mac decided to give them some privacy, so he left.
Felicia scowled at Frisco as she asked him what the message had said. Frisco told her to listen to it and then to meet him later that evening at Metro Court. He asked her to dress up and to wear some of the Aztec jewels from the treasure that they had found together. Felicia thought about their adventure as Frisco left, unaware that Mac had been eavesdropping in the next room.
3/6 At the Floating Rib, Mac and Kevin drank their beers and talked about Heather when Felicia arrived. Felicia glanced at her phone when she received a text message from Frisco asking where she was. She tucked her phone away then approached Mac and Kevin at the bar. Mac handed Felicia a drink and toasted to her beauty. Felicia smiled but warned Kevin that he would need to keep his wits about him because Lucy had been released from jail. Kevin had no idea what his sobriety had to do with Lucy, so Felicia explained that she was certain that Lucy would seek Kevin out and demand that he take his rightful place at Lucy's side.
Kevin scoffed at the idea, but Mac reminded Kevin that Kevin and Lucy had been through a lot together over the years, so they had an unbreakable bond. Mac urged Kevin not to let anyone get between Kevin and Lucy. "Who said anything about somebody else?" Kevin asked in confusion.
Meanwhile, Felicia received another text message from Frisco, so she announced that she had to meet an old friend. Felicia gave Kevin a quick hug, kissed Mac, and then left.
"That was odd," Kevin admitted. Mac confessed that it hadn't been unexpected and then revealed that Felicia had lied. Kevin was surprised when Mac suggested that Felicia had gone to meet Frisco. Kevin had his doubts, but Mac confided that he had seen Felicia and Frisco earlier that day during a heated conversation. Kevin was curious what Felicia had said about the conversation with Frisco when Mac had questioned her about it.
Mac admitted that he hadn't talked to Felicia about what he had seen, but she had been acting "squirrely" since Frisco's arrival. Kevin reminded Mac that Frisco and Felicia had children together, but Mac argued that Frisco had never cared about Georgie or Maxie. Mac was certain that Frisco was only in town to woo Felicia back. Kevin pointed out that it didn't matter what Frisco wanted because Frisco couldn't force Felicia to do what she didn't want to do. Mac confessed that he feared that Felicia had already fallen for Frisco's act. Kevin urged Mac to fight for Felicia, but Mac insisted that it had to be Felicia's decision to stay with Mac.
Kevin empathized, so Mac wondered if Kevin and Lucy could work things out if Lucy reached out to Kevin. "If only," Kevin replied. "Then it's your lucky day," Mac said as he looked at the doorway. Kevin turned to see what Mac had been looking at.
Lucy quickly mustered up her courage and approached Kevin. They exchanged greetings, then Lucy launched into an apology for leaving Kevin behind at Ferncliff after Heather had knocked him out. She realized that it had not been the act of a woman who was truly, madly, and deeply in love. However, she assured Kevin that she was all of those things and wanted him back. Lucy promised that she would never utter the "V-word" again. Kevin told Lucy to "shut up and kiss me." Lucy beamed with joy and kissed him.
At Metro Court's restaurant, Frisco sat at the bar, waiting for Felicia, when Anna entered. Anna immediately approached Frisco and exchanged warm greetings with him. Anna noticed that Frisco had on a suit, so she wondered if he had a date. "That remains to be seen," Frisco cryptically replied and then invited Anna to join him for a drink. Frisco offered Anna his condolences and admitted that he would always fondly remember Robin as a young, feisty girl. Anna smiled wistfully as she confessed that she thought about her daughter every day.
Frisco changed the subject by reminding Anna that she had Duke back. Anna admitted that she was grateful for Duke, but she still occasionally saw Faison when she looked at Duke. Frisco assured her that it was normal, given what Faison had done. Anna feared that her relationship with Duke would always be tainted by Faison, but Frisco disagreed. Frisco recalled that Anna and Duke had always had great chemistry and an unbreakable bond. Anna smiled as she looked up and spotted Duke enter the restaurant.
Duke joined Anna and Frisco at the bar. After another round of greetings and a quick exchange of pleasantries, Duke led Anna to a nearby table for their dinner. A short time later, Felicia arrived. She ordered a drink and then looked at the end of the bar where Frisco was seated. Frisco regretted that he had doubted that she would meet him. Felicia explained that she wanted Frisco to leave town.
"You can't be serious," Frisco replied. Felicia insisted that he couldn't simply drop into her life and expect her to run off with him. Frisco argued that perhaps he was ready to settle down, but Felicia didn't believe him because she had heard the same thing from him before. Frisco claimed that things were different, but Felicia refused to let him complicate what she had with Mac. Frisco was certain that she loved him, not Mac, so he reminded her of the special moments of their life together. Felicia quickly shook off the memories and accused him of making it sound as if their life had been one great big adventure.
Frisco assured Felicia that he hadn't forgotten the bad times or the significance of the date. Felicia's eyes filled with tears as Frisco quietly admitted that it was Georgie's birthday. Felicia was surprised that Frisco had remembered, so he explained that he might have been a terrible father, but he had loved his daughters. Frisco regretted that he had abandoned his family, but Felicia argued that he wouldn't have been satisfied living in Port Charles. Felicia was surprised when Frisco told her that he had wanted to return sooner, but he had been afraid to face the truth.
Felicia was curious what Frisco was talking about, so he revealed that if he had stayed in Port Charles, then Georgie wouldn't have been murdered. Felicia's tears flowed freely as she insisted that he couldn't know that. Frisco realized that he couldn't make up for the time that he had lost with Georgie, but he could make up for the time that he had missed with Felicia and Maxie, if they let him. Frisco promised not to push Felicia, but he vowed that he wouldn't give up on her.
Frisco started to leave when Felicia spotted a small black box on the bar. She picked it up and held it out to Frisco as she asked if it was his. Frisco gently stroked the hand that held the small box as he told her that it belonged to her. After Frisco left, Felicia opened the box. Nestled inside was a necklace. She recalled another time that he had given her a similar gift with the inscription "Lady of My Heart" on the back. She opened the pendant and began to cry because the same inscription appeared inside.
3/21 Frisco showed up on Maxie's doorstep with a pizza from his favorite place that he had discovered was still open. Maxie sensed that there was another reason for her father's visit, so Frisco admitted that he wanted to talk to her about her friend, Spinelli. Maxie quickly grabbed a piece of pizza in the hopes of changing the subject, but Frisco asked how she had been feeling. Maxie admitted that she had felt fine other than strong cravings for pastrami. She wondered if Frisco had mentioned Spinelli because Frisco had wanted to ask about the baby.
Frisco suggested that perhaps Maxie shouldn't pass the baby off as Dante and Lulu's child. Maxie reminded her father that he had promised to keep her secret. She worried that Frisco had changed his mind, but Frisco assured her that he hadn't. However, Frisco wanted Maxie to consider that she would be giving a piece of herself away when she handed the baby over to Dante and Lulu. Maxie argued that it had been her decision to become a surrogate, but Frisco pointed out that she wasn't a surrogate because the baby was Maxie's child, not Dante and Lulu's baby.
Maxie insisted that she wasn't ready to be a mother and doubted that she would ever be because she had been raised in an unstable family. Maxie explained that she wasn't the nurturing type and reminded Frisco that Spinelli had moved on. Frisco argued that Maxie didn't need Spinelli to raise the baby. Maxie admitted that it was more than that; Dante and Lulu believed that the baby was theirs, so Maxie refused to take that joy away from them. Frisco pointed out that Maxie would not be giving Dante and Lulu their child because Maxie was the baby's mother and Frisco the child's grandfather.
Maxie was baffled by Frisco's sudden attachment to the baby given that he had been an absent father. She appreciated his recent attempt to make amends, but she confessed that she'd only had a few memories of Frisco growing up, while her sister, Georgie, had only known their father through pictures. Frisco conceded that he had made some poor choices, so Maxie quickly assured him that she had let go of the anger. Frisco admitted that he wanted to make up for lost time.
Maxie was skeptical because fatherhood had never been Frisco's priority, so she wanted to know the real reason that he had returned to Port Charles. Frisco explained that he had once believed that being away from his family had been for the greater good because of his work for the government. He had told himself that he would always have time to make things up to Maxie and Georgie. However, he hadn't realized then that when time was gone, it was gone for good. Maxie wished that Frisco had known Georgie because Georgie had been smart about people, as well as kind and forgiving.
Maxie confided that Georgie had always been on Maxie's side, no matter how badly Maxie had screwed up. Maxie missed that and admitted that she continued to have difficulty accepting that her sister was gone, even though it had been years since Georgie's murder. Frisco's eyes filled with tears as Maxie cried on his shoulder. Afterwards, Frisco revealed that he wanted another chance with Maxie and Felicia.
Maxie was startled by the confession, so Frisco conceded that Maxie had a right to have questions. He admitted that he'd had dinner with Felicia and that Felicia had made a show of wanting him to leave town. Maxie warned her father that it hadn't been a show, but Frisco disagreed because the love that Frisco and Felicia had shared had been real. Maxie reminded her father that Felicia was with Mac and that they were happy together. Frisco assured Maxie that he would always be grateful to Mac for taking care of Maxie and Georgie, but it didn't mean that Felicia belonged with Mac. Frisco apologized for dumping everything on Maxie, but Maxie waved away his concern to suggest that sometimes relationships were beyond repair.
Frisco argued that he believed in fighting for love. After Frisco left, Maxie sat down and picked up a slice of pizza. She thought about her father's words as Ellie arrived home with Spinelli in tow. Maxie offered them pizza, but Ellie declined and made her way to the bedroom. Maxie wondered if everything was okay, so Spinelli assured her that it was fine. "Or will be," Spinelli amended as he followed Ellie to the bedroom.
In Anna's office, Felicia's phone rang, so Felicia let the call go to voicemail. Anna suspected that the call had been from Mac, so Anna was curious why Felicia had been avoiding Mac. Felicia confessed that she had no idea what to say to Mac. Felicia revealed that Frisco had told her that he wanted her back, so Felicia had secretly met Frisco for dinner to tell him that she wasn't interested. However, it had been Georgie's birthday, so Felicia and Frisco had been vulnerable and had reminisced about their younger days when they had been in love and life had been an adventure.
Anna smiled and confessed that being young had been like falling in love for the first time. "I always feel that the bond that you make at that time kind of never goes away," Anna admitted. Felicia agreed and decided to show Anna something. Felicia dug through her purse and pulled out a picture. Anna looked at the picture of Felicia and Frisco on their wedding day, which Anna recalled with fondness.
Felicia reminded Anna that Felicia was with Mac and that Felicia and Mac had shared history too. Felicia pointed out that Mac had been her friend at times and her lover at others, but through it all, he had been her rock and he had never failed her. Felicia regretted that she had left Mac to raise her daughters, while she had chased after Frisco. Felicia admitted that often Frisco had failed to show at their prearranged meeting places, so Felicia had never been a priority.
Felicia had no idea why she continued to hold onto the wedding picture, so Anna quickly pulled out a picture of Anna and Duke on their wedding day. "Join the club," Anna said. Anna confessed that she had ended things with Duke for good after a recent disastrous date when Duke had paid for the bill with counterfeit money. Anna explained that the incident had reminded Anna that Duke would always cut corners to get what he wanted, even if it meant skirting the law. Anna pointed out that she worked on the opposite side of the law, so it would never have worked out with Duke.
Anna also questioned if it were even practical to rekindle a relationship that had ended 20 years earlier. Felicia admitted that as much as she cherished her memories with Frisco, they were not the same people. "It's over between us," Felicia admitted. Felicia flipped her wedding picture over, so that it was facedown. Anna did the same with her own wedding picture.
At the Floating Rib, Duke sat down at the bar as Mac left a message for Felicia. Duke was curious what was going on with Mac and Felicia, but Mac claimed that he didn't want to talk about it. Duke respected Mac's privacy, so he placed an order for food. Mac served the food and grumbled about Frisco wanting Felicia back just when Mac thought that Mac and Felicia had a future together. Mac feared that Felicia would fall for Frisco again because the signs were there. Mac revealed that Felicia had lied to cover up having dinner with Frisco.
Mac tried to drop the subject but he was frustrated that he had been left waiting for Felicia to return his phone messages. Duke realized that Mac needed to vent, so he invited Mac to keep talking. Mac confessed that he was tortured by thoughts of what was going on between Felicia and Frisco. Duke advised Mac not to go down that road because it was a short trip between jealousy and outright paranoia. Mac continued to rant because he was worried that Felicia and Frisco had slept together. Duke ordered Mac to get a grip because Felicia would never do that to Mac.
Duke insisted that Felicia was in love with Mac, but Mac argued that Frisco was Felicia's first love, so Mac couldn't compete with the memories and feelings that Felicia and Frisco had shared. Duke warned Mac not to be so sure about that because Duke and Anna had shared many wonderful memories, and that hadn't turned out well for Duke. Duke told Mac about his attempt to treat Anna to a special evening out when everything had fallen apart because Duke had inadvertently paid in counterfeit money from Tracy. Mac thought that Duke could salvage things with Anna, but Duke doubted that Anna could be swayed to give Duke another chance.
Duke realized that he had been wrong to think that nothing could get in his and Anna's way once he and Anna had put Faison's "ridiculous masquerade" behind them. Mac reminded Duke that Anna had her own colorful background, so Mac suspected that Anna had used the excuse of Duke and Anna being on opposite sides of the law to avoid her real feelings for Duke. Mac urged Duke not to give up on Anna. Duke spotted Felicia at the entrance, so he quickly paid his bill, exchanged greetings with Felicia, and then left. Felicia admitted that she had gotten Mac's messages and agreed that they needed to talk about Frisco.
Felicia confessed that she had met Frisco for dinner, so Mac revealed that he had already known. Felicia explained that Frisco had wanted her back, prompting Mac to wonder how Felicia felt about that. Felicia didn't have an opportunity to reply because Frisco strolled into the bar. Mac was glad that Frisco was there, so Frisco asked why. Without warning, Mac punched Frisco. Felicia was shocked and demanded to know what Mac had been thinking.
3/29 Felicia stopped by Maxie's apartment with dinner from the Floating Rib. Maxie admitted that she wasn't hungry, but Felicia insisted that Maxie needed to eat for the baby's sake. Maxie assured Felicia that it wasn't necessary to pretend to care for the baby, so Felicia made it clear that it didn't matter if it was her grandchild or not. Maxie guilty looked away, while Felicia quickly spread out the food. Maxie explained that she wasn't hungry because she was worried about Lulu, so Felicia revealed that Frisco had used his contacts at the World Security Bureau to locate the Haunted Star, which meant that Lulu would soon be home.
Felicia pointed out that Frisco was an expert in situations like that. Maxie grew concerned because she had heard a hint of admiration in Felicia's tone. Felicia admitted that she had never harbored any ill will towards Frisco, prompting Maxie to question how Felicia felt about Frisco. Maxie confessed that Frisco had told her that he wanted to rekindle things with Felicia, which worried Maxie because she feared that Mac would find out. Felicia revealed that Mac already knew and had punched Frisco because of it.
Felicia insisted that she had tried to let Frisco down with his pride intact, but Frisco had refused to leave town. Felicia explained that she had tried to talk to Mac, but Mac hadn't been pleased that Felicia had taken Frisco to the hospital after the altercation, so Mac had opted to communicate with her through Mr. Marbles. Maxie had no idea who Mr. Marbles was, so Felicia explained that Maxie would find out at the Nurses' Ball. However, Felicia hoped that she and Mac could get things worked out before then because she wanted them all to enjoy the event.
Maxie believed that her father would be gone if Felicia had really wanted Frisco out of her life. She accused her mother of sending out mixed signals and giving Frisco false hope. Maxie reminded Felicia that Frisco had been gone for years, so there was a strong possibility that he only wanted Felicia back to prove that he could get her back.
Maxie was curious if Felicia wanted Mac or Frisco. Felicia decided that she should be talking to Mac and Frisco about it, not Maxie, so she quickly collected her things. Maxie asked Felicia to thank Frisco for helping to find Lulu. Felicia reminded Maxie that Frisco understood that the baby that Maxie was carrying needed a mother. Shortly after Felicia left, Spinelli stopped by.
Maxie noticed that Spinelli seemed troubled, so she invited him in. Spinelli admitted that he needed to talk to someone, but he hadn't been able to reach Sam. Maxie realized something had happened, so Spinelli told her about his talk with Ellie. He had no idea how to proceed because he would have to give up the idea of a child of his own if he were to stay with Ellie.
At the Floating Rib, Mac performed his ventriloquist act, but the crowd was not impressed. Frisco strolled in and asked what was up with the dummy. Mac explained that the dummy, Mr. Marbles, was part of an act, but Frisco clarified that he had been talking to Mr. Marbles, not Mac. Mac returned the insult by having Mr. Marbles accuse Frisco of being a dog. Mac and Frisco proceeded to trade insults as Frisco followed Mac to the bar.
Frisco believed that he was the one who had a right to be angry because Mac had sucker punched Frisco. Mac insisted that Frisco had deserved it because everyone would have been better off if Frisco hadn't returned. Frisco argued that Maxie was Frisco's flesh and blood as much as the baby that Maxie carried. Mac snorted as he reminded Frisco that Maxie was the surrogate, not the baby's mother. Frisco quickly covered for the slip, but Mac ignored him as his anger gathered steam.
Mac blasted Frisco for never being there for Maxie when she had suffered hardships like a murder trial and the loss of her sister, Georgie. According to Mac, the only thing that Frisco had ever given Maxie was DNA. Frisco was offended that Mac had thrown Georgie in his face, but Mac was disgusted that Frisco hadn't been there for Georgie's birth, most of her life, and her funeral. Mac suspected that Georgie had only been a means for Frisco to get to Felicia. Mac couldn't believe that Frisco had used Georgie's birthday as a "date night" to celebrate Frisco and Felicia's great adventures.
Mac was curious how low Frisco could go, so Frisco punched him. "That low enough for ya?" Frisco asked. Mac suggested that he and Frisco were even, but Frisco wasn't so sure. Frisco conceded that he, Mac, and Felicia had a messy past, mostly because of Frisco, but Frisco admitted that he had loved Felicia from the first day that he had met her. Frisco respected Mac and appreciated all that Mac had done for Felicia and her daughters, so he didn't want to see Mac hurt. Frisco urged Mac to save himself the heartache because Felicia deserved to be with the man she loved.
Mac insisted that he was that man, but Frisco was equally confident that Felicia loved Frisco. Mac was curious if Felicia had given Frisco any indication of that, so Frisco was forced to admit, "Not in so many words." However, Frisco wondered if Felicia had told Mac that she didn't love Frisco. Mac confessed that he hadn't given Felicia the chance. Seconds later, Felicia entered the bar. "Well, there. Now you get your chance," Frisco said.
Felicia asked what was going on, so Mac told her that Frisco believed that she returned Frisco's feelings. Mac invited Felicia to deny it. "I'm sorry, Mac. I can't do that. I love Frisco," Felicia tearfully replied. However, she quickly added that she loved Mac too. Mac pointed out that she couldn't have both men, so she needed to choose one.
4/4 Duke stood in the doorway of the ballroom, watching Lucy rehearse one of the dance numbers for the Nurses Ball. Mac walked up with Mr. Marbles perched on his arm and greeted Duke. Duke chuckled as he asked about Mac's dummy, so Mac introduced Mr. Marbles. Duke was certain that Mac's act was going to be the highlight of the evening. "At least the highlight of Felicia's evening," Duke added. "But not Frisco's," Mr. Marbles replied.
Duke cautioned Mac to be careful about the Frisco jokes because it gave the impression that Mac felt threatened by Frisco. Mac clarified that what he felt was a deep desire to pummel Frisco. Duke was surprised when Mac revealed that Felicia had confessed that she loved Mac and Frisco. Mac had been down that road before with Felicia, but it had always ended with Felicia taking off when Frisco beckoned. Mac refused to give up on Felicia, but he insisted that she needed to make a choice once and for all.
Duke empathized with Mac's predicament, but Mac pointed out that Duke had a fighting chance with Anna because there wasn't another person in the picture. "I'm competing with myself," Duke explained. Mac refused to believe that Anna had objected to Duke "dabbling" in a little criminal activity when Duke had been a "straight-up gangster" when Anna had first fallen in love with Duke. Mac suspected that Anna had used the excuse as a means to push Duke away, so she could avoid facing her fears. Mac believed that Faison had made Anna afraid to trust her own judgment, so he urged Duke to give Anna a reason to trust Duke.
In Anna's hotel suite, Anna was on the phone, getting an update about Luke, Laura, and Dante's search for Lulu. Nearby, Felicia was applying make up on Maxie as Olivia entered the room. Olivia heard Anna on the phone, so she waited until Anna ended the call to ask if there had been any news. Anna admitted that Frisco hadn't had anything new to report. Maxie complained when Felicia suddenly smeared Maxie's lipstick. Felicia apologized, but remained focused on Anna and Olivia's conversation.
Olivia admitted that she was out of her mind with worry about Dante and Lulu, so Maxie assured Olivia that everything would be fine because Maxie was certain that Dante would find Lulu.
Later, Anna was surprised when Felicia confessed that she loved Mac and Frisco. Felicia admitted that she had told both men about her feelings, so Anna was curious what their reactions had been. Felicia revealed that Mac had refused to talk to her until Felicia had made a choice. Anna wondered which man Felicia wanted to be with, but Felicia would only say that she intended to straighten everything out the first chance that she had.
Anna opened up to Felicia about Duke and told her about their decision not to pursue a romantic relationship. Felicia doubted that it had been that simple, but Anna insisted that a relationship with Duke was impossible. Moments later, everyone was delighted when Bobbie arrived.
The women in Anna's room were in various stages of getting ready for the ball when Felix arrived with complimentary bags of Lucy's cosmetics. Felix gushed to Anna about Emma, but admitted that Patrick was a "dolt" and the most clueless person that he had ever met. Anna was curious what Felix was talking about, but Felix tried to change the subject. Concerned, Anna pushed for an answer, so Felix assured her that Patrick was fine, but he cryptically explained that he thought that Patrick could be less lonely.
Anna wondered if Felix had a specific person in mind to help Patrick be less lonely, but Felix was spared from having to answer Anna's question when Sabrina and Emma arrived. Emma was quickly swept up in the frenzy of getting ready, so Felix pulled Sabrina aside to inform Sabrina that he intended to give Sabrina a makeover. Sabrina refused, but Felix refused to take no for an answer. He knew that Sabrina had recently ordered some contact lenses, which indicated to him that she wanted to make some changes but had been too afraid to follow through.
Felix yanked off Sabrina's glasses as he accused her of hiding behind her big hair and thick glasses, so he was determined to help her. Sabrina remained reluctant, but Felix promised her two things: he would have her turning heads at the ball, and he would make her almost as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside. Seconds later, Anna noticed Sabrina without her glasses. Anna complimented Sabrina and claimed that Sabrina looked like a different woman, so Sabrina decided to take Felix up on his offer.
Meanwhile, everyone complimented Maxie when she was ready for the ball. They all agreed that pregnancy suited her. Bobbie knew the pain of not being able to have a child, so she was certain that B.J. would be proud of her cousin for helping Lulu to become a mother.
Later, all of the ladies clapped when Emma made a grand entrance, dressed in a sparkling gown. Emma called out to Sabrina to join them, but Felix told the ladies that Sabrina would meet them in the ballroom.
After the ladies filed out, Felix turned to look at Sabrina. "What can I say? I'm a master builder," Felix proclaimed with pride. Sabrina nervously wondered if she looked okay, so Felix assured her that she was beautiful.
Sabrina asked Felix to go ahead without her because she wanted some time to get used to the heels. Shortly after Felix left, Patrick knocked on the door and called out to Anna as he entered the suite. He spotted Sabrina, but she had her back to him, so he asked her if she had seen a woman similar to her height, with big hair and glasses. Patrick was shocked by the stunning transformation when Sabrina turned to face him.
4/5 On the red carpet, an entertainment television host introduced the viewing audience to Aztec princess, Felicia Jones, and her daughter, fashion icon and selfless surrogate, Maxie Jones. Felicia and Maxie smiled as they made their way to an area where photographers snapped their pictures. Moments later, Frisco joined Felicia and Maxie. Frisco's smile faded when the red carpet host announced that Mac had arrived, prompting Felicia to invite Mac to join them. Frisco scowled when Mac slid next to Felicia and smiled pleasantly for the photographers.
Inside the ballroom, Mac caught Frisco switching place cards so that Frisco would be seated next to Felicia. Mac accused Frisco of being juvenile, but Frisco argued that Frisco and Felicia belonged together. Mac suggested that Frisco's attempt to change the seating chart indicated that Frisco viewed Mac as a threat, so Mac was certain that Frisco would lose Felicia. Nearby, Anna and Felicia watched Mac and Frisco. Anna advised Felicia to make a decision before Mac and Frisco killed each other.
Felicia approached the table, so Mac and Frisco demanded that she make a choice. "What's it going to be? A nice, hot, juicy filet mignon or a cold fish?" Frisco asked.
A short time later, Lucy stepped onto the stage to officially kick off the 2013 Nurses Ball. She informed the audience that T.J. and Molly had written the music and lyrics for the opening number. The nurses of General Hospital wowed the crowed with a song and dance routine, which featured solos from Epiphany, Sabrina, and Felix.
Spinelli and Ellie performed a lively and entertaining song and dance routine to She Blinded Me With Science.
The audience loved Sam and Anton's flawless freestyle dance and applauded loudly when the dance concluded.
After the applause for Bobbie died down, Lucy revealed that the Nurses Ball wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of an anonymous benefactor. Lucy was certain that the benefactor was present, so she urged the person to stand up because she wanted to give everyone the opportunity to show their appreciation with applause. Everyone clapped as they waited for someone to stand up, but no one did. Lucy respected the benefactor's wish to remain anonymous, but she assured the person that they were all grateful for the donation.
Shortly after Maxie had returned to her table, she asked her mother if Felicia had made a choice. Felicia confessed that she didn't know what to do because she loved Mac and Frisco. Meanwhile, Lucy introduced Mac and Mr. Marbles. Mac and Mr. Marbles had fun at Frisco's expense by cracking jokes about Frisco being a deadbeat father and having a fear of commitment. However, Mac ended his skit with a heartfelt message to Felicia.
Mac assured Felicia that he didn't care who she picked, as long as she was happy. Mac then declared his love for Felicia. The audience clapped, while Felicia quietly asked Maxie what that had been about. Maxie suggested that Mac had finally decided to fight back.
Felicia avoided looking at Mac when he returned to the table, but the spotlight then fell on a surprise performance from Frisco who sang a touching rendition of All I Need. Felicia's eyes filled with tears, as other couples such as A.J. and Elizabeth, Spinelli and Ellie, Patrick and Sabrina, Duke and Anna, and Alexis and Shawn exchanged meaningful glances with each other during parts of the lyrics that spoke to them.
Frisco dedicated the song to the woman that he had always held close to his heart, no matter how far he had traveled. Mac was shocked when Frisco approached Felicia to publicly propose marriage to her.
4/8 At the ball, Frisco finished his song and made an impassioned plea to Felicia as he proposed to her in front of the crowd. Felicia told Frisco that she loved him and always would, but their time together had passed, and she could not accept his ring because he was no longer the man of her heart. That honor, she said, belonged to Mac and always would. Frisco was devastated as he left the ballroom.
Maxie caught up with Frisco and asked where he was going. He told her anywhere but Port Charles. Frisco said that it had been a mistake to return to Port Charles because there was nothing there for him. Maxie pointed out that she was there. She asked if everything Frisco had said to her was a lie. She begged Frisco to stay for her. Frisco told Maxie that she would be fine.
Maxie said that if Frisco had not stepped in when he did, the truth would be out about her pregnancy. Frisco replied that Maxie no longer had to worry about Britt. Maxie said that she was not worried about the psycho doctor but about losing Frisco again, which she could see was about to happen. Maxie asked Frisco where he was going. Frisco said he did not know. He hugged Maxie and told her that he would get in touch as soon as he knew. Frisco hugged Maxie again before leaving. Ellie overheard their conversation.
Mac told Felecia that he was glad that she had chosen him, but he wished that he could trust that she really meant it. Felicia told Mac that it had always been him. Felicia admitted that she had made mistakes in the past but that she knew what she wanted, and what she wanted was Mac, because he made her happy. Felicia asked Mac to marry her. Mac said yes.
At the ball, Ellie walked up to Maxie, who was crying, and asked if she could help. Maxie said that it was hormones, but Ellie said that it seemed to be more than hormones. Maxie said that her dad had just left and that she should be used to it. Ellie told Maxie that she could talk to her about anything. Maxie said, "Like what?" Ellie replied, "Like the baby you are carrying."
