Early Robin #4 December 23, 1985 - Sept 22, 1986 - 8 hr original edit DVD #4A Buzz brings Robin by the office so she can see Anna. Robin is sad as she misses her mother, almost as much as her father as she hasn't seen much of her mother since she started the new job. Anna promises that as soon as she gets a hang off the new job she will have more time. Buzz is taking Robin out for lunch and Christmas shopping and he is invited to join them for Christmas dinner. Anna and Robin are both looking forward to spending their first Christmas together as mother and daughter. Anna arrives home in time to light up the newly decorated Christmas tree. Robert calls home to wish his little girl a merry Christmas and tell her how much he misses her (Robert is not seen, we just seen Robin and Anna's end of the conversation). On Christmas morning, Robin enjoys her presents though she is disappointed that the present from her father hasn't arrived yet. Frisco and Felicia come over to enjoy Christmas morning with Robin. They give her dangling earrings so she can play “grownup”; she declares they are just like mommies. Anna and Robin arrive at GH and wish Sean a Merry Christmas and they exchange gifts. The GH Christmas party begins as the children do the Christmas caroling through the halls and go in to listen to Steve Hardy tell the annual Christmas story with Robin sitting on his lap. Back at Anna's, Buzz gives her a gold charm of the hospital van to remind her of the good times they had saving Robin. Anna gives him a shirt and he seems quite thrilled with it (LOL!, sorry but they have absolutely NO chemistry…where is Robert?). A huge box arrives for Robin from her father with a quite large Koala bear. She is thrilled with the present all the way from Australia from her daddy. Robin comes by to visit Anna at the office, and she is saddened when she sees her father's computer. Anna recognizes the sadness and promises Robin that she would miss her terribly if she went to Australia. And Robin comments she does have her three godfathers, though she hasn't seen as much of Frisco while he is in police training, and then she asks about Sean and if she can go see him? Anna says maybe later after she receives a phone call she is waiting for (from the Governor about Sean's pardon). Anna receives the phone call though we don't hear what is said as the scene cuts to Robin reading to Buzz who distracts her from overhearing the call. At GH a police officer is putting handcuffs on Sean and Monica is having a fit going into protective mode and insisting that cuffs aren't necessary. Monica puts a scarf over Sean's wrists so that Robin won't see the handcuffs when she arrives. She runs into his arms but the handcuffs prevent him from hugging her. Robin recoils in shock and Sean plays that he is the bad guy and a relieved Robin says its just another game. Anna asks the officer to remove the handcuffs as Sean has received a full pardon from the Governor! At Anna's new house, the godfathers have all gathered to help put up wallpaper. Buzz, Sean, Frisco all work hard as Felicia, Robin and Anna all look on in amusement. A few days later at GH, Robin has requested a meeting of the godfathers and they all arrive to see her. She was visiting the children in the hospital and since some of the children don't have fathers to visit them, she has decided to loan out her godfathers and asks them to each promise to spend time visiting the children. Sean shows up to congratulate Anna on solving the brownstone murder and to take Robin to school. Robin is very proud of how her mommy helped her friend at the Brownstone. When Robin goes off to have breakfast, Sean questions why Anna isn't satisfied? She doesn't have a motive for Russell to have done the murders. Sean suggests she question those from Laurelton to see if they can come up with a motive for Russell to have killed and if not that perhaps there the murderer is still out there. Robin has fallen asleep on the couch while Buzz and Sean are busy moving furniture around trying to help Anna get settled in. Buzz tells her that Teri and Kevin are getting married in Laurelton on Valentine's Day. Anna finds it odd that Teri would want to go back to Laurelton and even stranger that she would get married on the anniversary of the day that Earl disappeared. Meanwhile, a gloved mystery person pulls a floorboard up at the brownstone and pulls out Neil's wallet, and a note telling him where to find Earl's body. A necklace is also removed and the mystery person hides it in an electrical junction box. Robin is sick and laying on the couch. Patrick shows up at Anna's door, demanding to know why Anna went to Washington. He wants to know why she went? She refuses to give him any information and tells him it is police business. He yells at her and creates a scene in front of her sick child, grabbing her arm. He tells her that she is trying to ruin his brother's wedding and this marriage needs all the help it can get. He accuses her of not caring about people and trying to ruin their lives. Buzz stops by to check on Robin, and pretty much throws Patrick out. Buzz is very concerned about how ill Robin is and tells Anna that she can't leave Robin and she needs to stay home with her and keep her quiet and give her medicine. Anna says that she may have to leave suddenly for her job and she has responsibilities. Buzz tells her she also has a responsibility to her child and a good mother would not leave such an ill child and that Anna needs to learn how to delegate her job responsibilities when her child needs her. Buzz stops by again later on, bearing Chinese food, and apologizes to Anna for coming down on her so hard. He stresses that he didn't mean to imply that she wasn't a good mother. She says that he was right; she needed to hear that as she did have her priorities confused. Robin's fever has broken and Anna humbly asks for permission to go to Washington D.C. in the morning. Philomena will be back and Ballantine called and said that he expects the lab result in the morning on one of the initials that has been raised. She says that Teri is getting married tomorrow and she is worried that she might be marrying a murderer. Cute scene as Robin comes giggling in with Sean. They are off to see a horror movie and try to entice Anna to come with them. Anna says she is sorry that she can't as she has so much work to do. Robin complains that all her mother does is work. Anna is concerned that Sean is taking the seven year old to see a horror movie. Sean says he saw it when he was ten and he turned out all right? Anna says that is debatable. Buzz stops by to see if Anna had changed her mind about the tape? Anna insists she needs it as she is believes there could be valuable information on it regarding the Laurelton murder investigation. She can't accept his refusal to turn over the tape to her and is very cool towards him. Robin wants to know if Buzz is okay? He says sure and is curious as to why she asked? Robin innocently comments that she was worried about him as her mother said there was something wrong with him. Buzz looks at Anna and realizing there is no compromise, he leaves to go back to GH. The mayor comes into Anna's office and makes rude comments about Anna running a daycare out of her office when he finds Robin there. He then tries to intimidate Anna into dropping the Laurelton case and says that the city fathers are ready to fire her as they have had a number of complaints over her continued investigation and she should focus on other issues in Port Charles. Burt comes to her defense but doesn't help. When Buzz returns, they get in another argument about the tape. He suggests that she is so determined to solve this case to prove that she can do the job as well as Robert! (ouch). Anna tells him that he doesn't know anything about police procedure and the next time she sees him that it will be in court! Robin comes in and overhearing them arguing, she beings to cry. After Buzz leaves, Anna reassures her and tells her how much she loves her. She promises her that as soon as this murder case is over that they will go to Australia to visit her father. Anna takes Robin to the office on numerous occasions, and the mayor is a real jerk about finding the child in Anna's office and indicates that is why she can't get her job done (finding the Brownstone murderer). Anna explains that Robin's school is closed due to a flue epidemic. Robin arrives again to hang out with Anna at work when the school is closed due to the heating being out. Bobbie comes storming in, demanding that Anna leave Teri alone or Bobbie will press charges! She apologizes when she realizes Robin is there. Anna asks Robin to play in the hallway for a moment while she talks to Bobbie. Later, Robin is starving and wants to get pizza from Dino's. Anna tells her they have to go to GH and perhaps she can get something to eat at the cafeteria. Robin would rather have pizza and doesn't want to eat hospital food. She accuses her mother of loving her job more than Robin. Anna tells her she likes her job and loves her daughter. Robin tells her she knows all about crime fighting and offers her services as a deputy to help her clean up the town! Robin tells her mom about the parent's luncheon and asks her to attend. All of the moms are brining a casserole. Anna promises to go but admits she isn't much in the cooking department and asks Philomena to help? She offers to make lasagna. This doesn't thrill Robin as all of the other mothers are doing their own cooking. The next day, a stressed Anna returns home to find a very somber Robin who reminds her that she missed the parent's luncheon. Anna is terribly sorry that she forgot about it with all of the pressure at work. Robin says that all of the other mothers were there but at least Philomena brought the lasagna. Robin told all of the mothers that Anna made the lasagna. Anna says she doesn't care if people know she can't cook. Robin has told Anna about Parent's Day (similar to an Open House) and she is quite excited about it. She wants her mom to make her a bag lunch and says no one eats in the cafeteria except for the kids whose mothers are too busy to make their children's lunches and Anna isn't too busy is she? The next morning, Anna finds some of Robin's art work in the trash. She asks Robin about it, as she hasn't seen any of the drawings. A crying Robin admits they were from the Open House that Anna forgot to attend. Anna is devastated that she disappointed her daughter again and apologizes profusely, blaming the trial. She worries to Buzz whether Robin will be able to get over this. He assures her that children are resilient and with plenty of love she will be fine. Robin enjoys an evening with Frisco, Felicia, Tony, and Tanya. Tanya invites her to be her babies' official god sister. After Buzz is attacked on the waterfront and is at GH in critical condition, Anna and Robin spend a lot of time with Buzz's friends, waiting at GH for word on his condition. Robin worries that everyone seems to leave, her father, her grandmother, the Ancient One, and now Buzz is sick and might not make it. Anna reassures her and tells her she will be around for a very long time and Sean will be too. He comes by just in time to hear this and big hugs all around. Buzz wakes up and is reunited with his friends. Buzz soon asks for Robin and she is thrilled to see Buzz awake again. After the conclusion of the Catalina location scenes, Anna returns to Port Charles and is reunited with her daughter (who has been staying with Bobbie at the brownstone). Robin happily tells Anna about her busy day. She has to go visit Buzz in the hospital, and she has to find Felicia as she is sure that Felicia is going to ask her to be one of her bridesmaids. Over at GH, Robin raves about the upcoming Policeman's Ball which is in honor of her mother! Sean and Robin have lunch in the cafeteria. Felicia and Monica come over and she happily tells them that Monica has offered the Quatermaine mansion. Felicia then makes Robin's day when she asks her to be her flower girl. After meeting Anna at the policeman's ball, Duke and Anna stay up late talking. Duke's shocked when Robin walks in to inform her mum she wants breakfast. Robin is introduced to Duke. Anna smugly informs her guest that Robin's father was the former police commissioner of Port Charles. Robin visits Buzz and tells him that she has a new godfather, Duke Lavery. He is glad as she needs someone to fill his place. She assures him that he doesn't fill Buzz's place. Buzz has developed an addiction to pain pills and sneaks pain pills after Robin leaves the room. Duke arrives at Anna's bearing groceries and tells Robin that he is cooking dinner. Anna isn't home yet, Robin is there with her babysitter. Duke and Robin chat as he begins making homemade pizza. She is curious if he is from Italy, he corrects no that he is from Scotland. He questions her about the sick friend his mommie is visiting. She tells him all about Buzz and her mother and confirms that they are dating and then shocks Buzz when she tells him that Anna is in love with Buzz and that she is going to marry him! Anna arrives home and Robin tells her that she has a surprise for her. It is Anna's turn to be shocked as she finds Duke cooking dinner in her kitchen! Robin chortles that her and Duke have made her a special dinner. He asks Anna what is wrong as she seems down? She is surprised to learn that they are dining on Scottish pizza! At Anna's house, the ladies wait for Felicia to arrive for her bridal shower. Robin offers to babysit for Tanya when the baby's born. Felicia's thrilled when a large present from Duke arrives; Anna is not. Felicia overhears Anna talking to Burt on the phone and intercepts her before Anna can take off. Hearing Frisco may be in trouble, Felicia gets agitated and has to be restrained by the ladies so she won't follow Anna. Anna worries about how she is going to break the news to Robin about the cancelling of the wedding. The phone rings and Robin chats with Bobbie. When she comes in the room, Anna sadly tells her the wedding was cancelled but Robin insists that when Bobbie called and said the wedding is back on. They both celebrate, laugh and giggle with anticipation (they are SO cute together!). As they get ready for the big day, a somber Robin worries about Frisco whether Frisco will still be her godfather. She sadly says that Frisco will be giving Felicia a ring that day and he had promised her one but had forgotten. Frisco arrives at the door with a surprise for Robin, the ring he had promised her, it is a symbol of how special she is to him. Kneeling, Frisco tells his godchild, "Now, when you wear this, I just want you to remember how much I love you and how special you are to me, okay?" Over at the brownstone, Felicia and her bridesmaids and flower girl attend to last minute wedding preparations. The impetuous bride had cancelled all the arrangements in her haste to call off the wedding and suddenly shrieks that she cancelled the minister. Everyone scrambles to find someone to conduct the wedding and Anna finally puts an APB on the reverend! LOL! A reverend is kidnapped off a tennis court so that he can administer the vows. Burt arrives with the reverend and the beginning begins. The wedding begins with Robin as the flower girl. Samantha, Anna and Tanya as Bridesmaids. Sean escorts Felicia down the aisle. As the wedding begins, sirens are heard all around. Everyone holds their breath until Guy enters with the Police Honor Guard! Frisco and Felicia finally say their vows in front of all their friends. The ceremony ends and all their friends greet the bride and groom. Frisco and Felicia take the dance floor and Frisco sings, "LADY OF MY HEART". Duke pays a lot of attention to Robin during the reception. Sean notices Anna watching the duo and remarks he sees a certain glint in her eye. Realizing Robin is Anna's achilles heel, Duke then charms the little girl and a displeased Anna watches him dance with her daughter. The little girl becomes quickly taken with Duke. Frisco and Felicia cut the wedding cake and Tony makes the toasts. Frisco and Felicia prepare to depart but not till they toss the bouquet and garter. Felicia tosses the garter and Anna ends up catching it. To make matters worse when Frisco tosses the garter it lands in Duke's hands! Smugly grinning, Duke slides the garter onto his arm and wears it around to annoy her. Sean lets in a man in arabic garb to lead the newlyweds to Sean's penthouse for their honeymoon surprise. The morning after the wedding, Anna is lost in thought as she stares at the bridal bouquet. Robin wants to know what Anna is going to do with the Bridal bouquet? She thinks that mommy's going to marry Duke! Robin is excited as Amy told her that the woman who catches the bridal bouquet gets married to the man who catches the garter. Anna assures Robin that she doesn't even know Duke Lavery and she could know him for five years and not know him! As Sean and Anna discuss the waterfront project, Anna hears a screaching noise from the other room. Her daughter enters dolled up in a cute little Scottish outfit with a kilt, jacket, hat and a set of bagpipes! It is a gift from her "Uncle Duke!" Robin is so excited and insists on calling Buzz to tell him the news. Robin raves to Buzz about how much she likes Duke, mommy's new friend and how much mommy likes him too. Robin continues to play the bagpipes throughout the day, rather poorly. Later, Duke calls Anna to discuss his interview with her, sure she has watched it (well she tried to above the noise of the bagpipes!). She brushes him off pretending she doesn't know who is calling. She allows him to listen to Robin playing the bagpipes and he is happy she received her present. His smugness at her irritation annoys her and she begs off as she can't possible hear him as she is in the middle of a bagpipe concert. Later, Robin asks when she will see Duke again as he promised to help her learn the bagpipes. Anna warns Robin not to expect to see him around much. Robin is dissapointed at Anna's lack of interest in Duke, especially as she changes the subject each time Robin raves about how nice he is. Robin misses her mom who has been gone a lot during the day and Anna promises to meet her at home for lunch. Robin says she will have a big surprise for her and as soon as Anna leaves, Robin immediately calls Duke and invites him for lunch. She asks him to help her with the bagpipes and wants to give him a recital. He asks if mummy knows that she has invited him? She admits that no, this will be a surprise for her mom. Angel is thrilled at this turn of events, a friend in the enemy camp. Duke admits that he really likes the child. When Angel admires his savy for sending her presents, Duke huffs that he wasn't trying to bribe her and he does geniunely like her. Duke shows up for lunch with Robin as invited. Robin laments that mummy wants her to get a silencer for her bagpipes. Duke laughs and says he doesn't think they make such a thing. Robin asks him for another lesson as she doesn't think she is very good and thinks she is just making noise. Duke is concerned that Anna won't be happy to see Duke there. Robin assures him that she will be happy to see him and just that morning said that Duke was a very charming man (though Robin didn't get the sarcasm involved). Duke is thrilled with this report and grins broadly. Anna arrives home and is ticked to find Duke there. After Robin leaves the room, they argue as Anna reiterates again that his project is going to bring crime to the dock area. Duke swears that he would never do anything to hurt that part of Port Charles, as it is his favorite part of the city. He continues that he was just down there at the zoo the other day. Robin enters the room and is excited to hear talk of the zoo and begs to go that day. Then she somberly announces that her bagpipes are broken. Duke promises to return them and asks her to put them back in the box . As Robin bounds out again, Duke notices how sad and distracted Anna is and asks how her visit at GH went. Duke mentions her past and Anna suddenly concerned asks just what he knows about her past. He just says that he knows there was a different Anna Devane two years ago and he would give anything to make her appear again and what is the magic to conjur her up? Filomenia returns home and is thrilled to see Anna, and Robin though wonders about the noise she hears (the bagpipes are working again!). Robin chirps that they are a gift from her "Uncle Duke". Filomenia looks forward to meeting this new uncle. Duke arrives at Anna's and is introduced to Filomenia. She thanks him for being so kind to Anna and to Robin. Tony interrupts when he shows up and tells her that he needs to talk to her immediately, that it is very important. Taking the cue, Duke suggests that they go into the kitchen. Tony tells Anna that Buzz stalled the test until after 6:00 (the time when the drugs would be out of his system). Anna is shocked as Buzz promised her he would take the test that woud clear him before the deadline. Anna laments that Rick wants her to set Buzz up and she can't do that to him. Tony (who had been a staunch defender of Buzz's innocence) now wants her help as well. He points out that she wouldn't be doing this to Buzz but for Buzz. Robin comes in and is concerned that there is a problem with Buzz. Duke admonishes Robin for interrupting her mummy's private conversation and takes her over for a music lesson. The next day, Anna and Robin see Duke on the docks. Robin begs her mother to allow her to invite Duke to Robin's Fourth of July party. Anna reluctantly agrees and Robin runs over to ask him. He hesitantly agrees looking to Anna for confirmation. Robin laments that Anna has to go back to GH and doesn't have time to go shopping with Robin for her party. Duke offers to take her though Anna tells him that isn't necessary. Duke is distracted by a reporter and when he returns, he finds they are gone. Anna and Robin heads to the zoo and Anna repeats the analogy that Duke shared with her about caged animals and people. Duke figured she might have headed to the zoo after their conversation yesterday and surprises her with his insight. When Robin moves to get a closer look at the monkeys, Duke asks Anna what is wrong? She tells him that she has to act like a cop today instead of a friend and she is having difficulty with this decision. He encourages her. She asks him if he has ever had to choose between friendship and what is right? He says no. She asks him what he would choose if he had to? He says friendship. She isn't surprised. He hopes that if she ever has to make that choice were he is concerned that she will choose friendship. Duke suggests that he help her today, by allowing him to take care of Robin. He will take her around the zoo and then he will take her to get her party favors. Anna is surprised again and muses that in the past few days that every time she has needed a friend, that he has been there. He points out that if there isn't friendship between a man and a woman that there can't ever be anything else. Later as Robin and Duke tour the zoo, she asks if Duke knows what is troubling her mother? He says she has to do something very hard. Robin asks if she is in trouble? He assures her no that if she was that he would have gone with her mother. Robin acknowledges that she sees how he takes her mom's mind off her troubles and that he would probably do Anna more good than he is doing her. Sadly the little girl says that she has seen enough animals for the day. He refuses and says that no he promised her mummy that he would take care of her today. She disagrees and smartly points out that he can take her home and then he would have time to get to the hospital. He admires her choice and agrees. It's Fourth of July, and a jubliant Sean arrives at Anna's. Sean asks her if she has heard the rumor about Duke and Tom Green? She says yes that Tom was disabled and his bait shop was going to be torn down with the redevelopment project. Sean informs her that Duke has promised to build him a new bait shop and that he is becoming quit the hero down on the docks. Sean expresses surprise as he didn't peg Duke as a hero. Anna tells Robin that she is going to visit Buzz in the new hospital and she has arranged for Duke to escort Robin to the picnic. Robin is suprised as she didn't think Anna liked him much. Her mum admits that she learned something about Duke that morning that made her like him a bit more. Robin says that sometimes his accent makes her think of daddy and asks if he makes Anna think of daddy too? Anna says yes but not because of his accent. When Robin presses why then? A slightly embarrassed Anna says that maybe because they are both very adventurous. Duke arrives to pick up Robin. She loves it when he calls her his, "Bonny wee lass". Anna thanks Duke and tells him that she has to know that Buzz is allright. He somberly observes that Buzz is very special to her and she agrees that he is. The mayor introduces Tom Green, who gives Duke a rave review and launches his full support of Duke's campaign. Anna is irritated and tells Frisco that she should have known that Duke didn't help Tom out of the goodness of his heart, that it was all a campaign stunt! When he returns with lemonade, she abruptly takes Robin home to get ready for her party. Duke arrives at Anna's and is given a chilly reception. She tells him she doesn't like being made a fool of in public. She tells him that when she found out that he was running for office that she realized that he helped Tom Green for the good press and snarks about how he came off as this wonderful humanitarian and she just doesn't buy it. She tells him that her first instincts about people are always right. He tells her that at that moment, he doesn't give a damn. He is there at her daughter's invitation and he intends on having himself, "One hell of a good time!" Robin thanks everyone for coming to her party. She acknowledges her two godfathers, and introduces Duke as her new friend and says how much she misses her father, "Robbie Scorpio". Duke comments privately that Anna must also miss Robert? She shuts him down and Duke quietly makes his excuses to Robin to leave. Filomenia tells Anna privately that the more she sees Mr. Duke, the more he reminds her of Robert. Duke later shows up at Anna's as Robin wanted to show him the poster she did for his campaign. He asks Anna if she minds? She says no that Robin can campaign for anyone she wants. Duke calls Robin "love". She comments that her daddy calls her that. She runs out of the room to get his picture to show Duke. Anna demands that Duke not call Robin that. He suggests that she not be afraid of that word, that in this life there is nothing without love. The next morning, Robin shows her mummy the posters she made for Duke. Robin asks if her mummy was lonely last night when she slept over her friends? She says she missed Robin but she wasn't lonely as she had dinner with uncle Duke. Filomenia encourages Anna privately to see Duke while they are out of town and says she has a feeling about them. Robin asks if Duke told her anything about a surprise for today? Anna says no and asks what it is but Robin won't tell. Sean arrives with a newspaper report of Duke's heroism from yesterday. He tells her that he has been checking around on the docks and he can't find anything negative about him. She assures Sean that he doesn't have to continue to check up on Duke that she now knows that he is a good man. Sean and Filomenia both tease her about her growing feelings for Duke and the look on her face. Sean arrives with a going away present for Robin with a new suitcase for Robin so that she can take her bagpipes to her father's. He laughs that perhaps someday Robert will forgive him. Neither Robin nor Anna can sleep that night, so both snuggle down together and talk about the little girl's trip to Australia. Robin proclaims she's too excited to sleep and asks her mum what she'll do while Robin's away. Duke comes up in the conversation and Anna remembers to give Robin a kiss from Lavery. "I'll bet some of that kiss was for you too," the sleepy little girl murmurs and drifts off. Anna grins at Robin's perceptiveness. The next morning, Duke stops by unexpectedly to offer to take Robin and family to the airport. When Robin thanks him with a kiss, Lavery grins and, looking directly at Anna, remarks that in the future he'll send all of his messages through Anna. Anna grins back. While Filomena and Duke load the car, Robin looks for her coloring book and instead finds Anna's veil. The little girl puts it on, asks her mum if she looks pretty and then asks if she can wear it for her daddy. Quickly taking it away, her mum tells her no, that it's a special scarf, one she wore when she married Robert. Duke and Anna arrive at the airport to pick up Robin and Filomenia who are returning from visiting Robert in Australia. Robin is surprised that her godfathers are there and she keeps asking Anna about them. Duke encourages her to be honest with the child. When Robin suggests that there is going to be a surprise party and she thinks they will be waiting at the house for her. Anna has to sadly tell her that they won't be there. She explains that Buzz is still ill and in the special hospital but promises that Robin could see him very soon. Robin then asks what time Sean and Frisco will be over? Anna sadly tells her that they won't be coming over. She tells Robin that Sean did something very wrong and it was Anna's job to look into it and Sean is upset with her as he thinks she doesn't trust him. She then tells the child that she had to suspend Frisco from the police force. Robin can't believe it and tells her mum that is very very wrong, very very wrong. She thought her mom thought Frisco would be a good cop. Anna says that yes he will be but he has some lessons to learn first. Duke suggests that they go to the zoo and while Robin agrees, she is sad and withdrawn the rest of the day. Anna is devastated and tells Duke that Buzz, Frisco, and Sean are the only extended family that Robin has every known. She promises Duke that Robin's happiness is the most important thing in the world to her. Duke assures Anna that he has an idea on how to cheer Robin up, and sends Anna back to work and tells her to leave Robin with him. Duke tells Robin a story about how he hurt his father when his was younger when he was mad at something out of his father's control. Bright Robin realizes that he isn't just talking about himself but about her relationship with her mother and realizes that Anna is hurt by her silence. Duke takes her into one of his pubs for a "party" complete with a welcome home signs and balloons. He offers her all of her favorite foods. She brightens up and tells her mother how much she missed her and wanted to come home. She is happy that Duke won but missed being home during the election. After Duke leaves, Robin and her mum make up as Robin gives her a big hug and tells her how much she loves her. Later, Anna is dissapointed when the phone rings and it isn't Duke. An observant Robin asks her mother if she is in love with Uncle Duke. Anna admits that yes she is. A thrilled Robin hugs her and tells her that he is almost as nice as her daddy. Robin comes into the PD, she is meeting Sean for lunch. Robin invites her mother to join them but Anna begs off. Robin has wedding bells dancing in her head now that she knows her mother loves Duke and is all set to make plans. While Robin is out of the office, Robin calls Duke's office and talks to Angel. She is trying to manipulate her mom into going over to see Duke, and to get her to buy a new dress. Robin tells Angel that he mother is coming over to see Duke. When Duke realizes that it is Robin on the phone, he motions to Angel that Anna is NOT to come over. Angel makes some lame excuse about how busy Duke is. When Angel gets off the phone, Duke can't believe Angel didn't handle that better. Angel swears that kid could sell ice to the Eskimos and pleads that he couldn't get a word in edge wise. Meanwhile, Sean arrives for his lunch date with Robin. He sweeps her up in his arms and she raves about how much she missed him. She then shares that mommie and Duke are getting married! When Anna enters she informs Sean that announcement is premature. Sean asks if there is any news on the police front? Anna motions to Robin and they agree to discuss it at a later time. Sean and Robin meet up with Frisco at Kelly's. Frisco is shocked to hear about Anna's impending marriage. Robin admits that Duke hasn't acutally asked Anna to marry him but that mommie is going to buy a new dress and go to lunch with Duke and she is sure that he will ask her then. Robin is busy trying to plan the honeymooon and she is planning on going to. Frisco tells her that honeymoons are for the couple to be alone and reminds her of his and Felicia's honeymoon, though he mentions being interrupted at Sean's penthouse by Alan's arrival. The lightbulb goes off in Sean's head and he realizes that was when Alan stole the Mexican pottery. He kisses Robin, relieved at this revelation. Robin is excited when she sees all of the flowers that Duke is sending Anna. She wants to help mommie pick out a dress to wear that night. An intuitive Robin realizes that Anna is hesitant about going out that night as she doesn't have a sitter. She suggests Sandy as she is so good with animals that she is bound to be good with kids. Robin is worried about Anna and Frisco, and Anna assures her it was just work related and she had to act to protect Frisco when he didn't follow the rules. Robin knows something is going on and asks Anna to tell her what the excitement is about. Anna tells her that she is going to New York to bring Frisco and Felicia home (they are on the run after Duke set up Felicia as an embezeller in order to distract Frisco and save him from the hit Damon put out on Frisco). Duke calls and talks to Robin, she tells him that she can't tell him where her mother is as it is a secret. Robin meets Duke at the zoo and she lets it slip to Duke that her mom is going to New York to bring Frisco and Felicia home. Duke realizes that Anna is coming closer and closer to discovering his involvement in the Tumble Dry scam. DVD #4B In the park, Robin overhears Damon say that he may have to kill Anna. Worried about what she heard, Robin tells Anna, but her mum thinks that Robin is just imagining things. Anna offers to cancel her dinner plans with Duke but Robin insists on Anna keeping her date, that she knows her mother will be safe with Uncle Duke. Robin then tries to call Duke but there is no answer. Robin then calls Buzz and tells him she has a very big problem and needs his help. A drugged out Buzz snaps at her and tells her he is very buzy and she should call her Uncle Duke. Meanwhile, Anna shows up for her date with Duke and he picks up on her subdued mood. She tells him that Robin is having a problem with her job and almost had an anxiety attack tonight about Anna's safety. She tells Duke what Robin thinks she overheard in the park threatening Anna's life. Anna decides to return home to comfort her daughter. Robin makes a phone call to her daddy, Robert Scorpio. She tells him that she tried to talk to Duke, to Buzz and they wouldn't listen. She tells him that she couldn't call Sean and Frisco is away. She has no one else to help her and she begs him to come to Port Charles to save Anna's life. The next morning, Anna is concerned if Robin is still afraid? Robin assures her that now she knows everything will be fine. But does not fill her mother in on her late night phone call. Duke threatens Damon if he harms Anna. Damon tells Duke that he will be involved in Phase III of the project if he wants to save Anna's life. As insurance to protect those he cares for, Duke is putting together a package of incriminating information on the mob and he is going to send it to the police. Angel tries to talk Duke out of doing it as it will be suicide for him. Duke plans on sending the package to Bert Ramsey and then leaving town. Edna is about to shoot Frisco and Felicia at the ADZ warehouse when a shadowy figure comes upon her, seen only from behind. She is then shown knocked out with Robert standing over her, he is back in Port Charles. Hearing the couple escape, Robert gives chase and calls out to them but loses them. Robert runs into Sean, and Robert fills him in on Robin's panicked phone call. Sean asks if he thinks the threat to Anna's life is related to the ADZ Warehouse? Robert tells him about Edna about to take a hit on Frisco and Felicia and invites him to go back in with him to take Edna in to the PD. They find that Edna is gone. Sean is surprised and accuses his old friend of getting sloppy. Robert assumes someone drug Edna away. They find the coat that Felicia left behind. Robert asks Sean about Duke Lavery? Sean tells Robert his suspicions. Sean tells him that Anna is in love with Duke. Robert is sure that Anna can separate her work from her personal life. Sean isn't so sure that is true now. Robert determines to find out more about this Lavery character and whether Robin's fears for her mother have any merit. Robert enters Anna's and suprises his daughter. He swings her around singing "Waltzing Matilda". Robert sits her down and goes over with her what she heard. Anna arrives home and isn't pleased to find her ex sitting in her living room. He fills her in that Robin told him about the threat to Anna's life. Anna assures him that there isn't a threat and he is wasting his time. He pulls out the mink coat and the gun that he took off the assassin. She questions if whether he doesn't think her and Burt can handle the crime in Port Charles? He says that with everything that has happened since he arrived in town that morning, he has had the distinct feeling that he is very much needed. Burt gets quite the shock when he arrives and sees that Scorpio is back in town. Robert fills him in on the hit he interrupted. Anna isn't thrilled by Robert's return and gets defensive about his doubts over Duke. Robert points out that he doesn't know Duke and he does know Frisco and Felicia and believes in them. She tells them that Duke is trying to help them, that he believes that Frisco and Felicia are innocent. Burt is very interested at this piece of news. Burt worries to Damon that Robert gets really angry when someone he loves is in danger and he is already prepared to act to protect Anna, Frisco, and Felicia, but god help them if Robert ever finds out that they threatened his child! Robin calls Duke and asks him to meet her at the zoo. She then asks her father to take her to the zoo. Robin introduces the two men in Anna's life to each other. Robert observes that Robin seems very fond of him. Robin announces that Duke is mommie's boyfriend and they are going to get married! Robert pulls Duke aside to talk to him privately while Robin looks at the animals. Robert briefly tells him about seeing Frisco and Felicia that morning but says he will let Anna fill him in on the rest. Duke points out that Robert is a long way from home and how long does he think he will be staying. Robert pointedly responds, "As long as it takes." Robert is still away and Robin asks Anna where he has gone, but she does not know either. All Anna can tell Robin is that he is working. Later, Duke and Anna come home to tell Robin the good news. Duke promises her that if she doesn't like the idea that they can work it out. Anna shows her the ring and Robin guesses that they are engaged. Robin is thrilled and says, "Hurray!". She is so happy they are going to be a real family. Robin says that daddy is going to be real happy for mommy, Anna doesn't look so sure about that.
