Robert & Anna & Katherine #39  June 26 - August 16, 1989 - 8 hour original edit

Felicia tells Anna that Frisco is alive and back in town. He is furious at Sean & Robert and blames them for him being held in a Bulgarian prison and for Felicia marrying Colton. Olivia finally signs a full confession, 4th of July picnic, Robin sees Frisco is alive! There is a robbery at the gun shop and Robin & Rowdy get caught up in it. Robin gets away and calls her father for help. He arrives and trades himself for Rowdy as a hostage. Tiffany visits Cheryl and learns she is 8 months pregnant, Claudio & Domino are planning a coup. This edit includes all of Robert, all of Anna, all of Katherine, and all of Robin’s scenes.

Frisco slips back into Tony’s house. Tony finds out Frisco is alive! Tony says he knew it somehow that he was alive. He had a premonition. He tells Tony Colton is an assassin. Frisco hears someone coming, so he has to leave, it turns out to be “mouse” the kid. Mouse says that Sean sent a message that Domino thinks he is dead so stay that way. 

Olivia comes to the club to meet Terry. But she isn’t there. Anna is hiding listening in. Olivia asks if she can go to the office upstairs. Anna traps her in the elevator.
 
June 28  Anna tells Olivia that she is doing what Tim did to her, cutting the elevator cable. Olivia is freaking out she wants Anna to stop. Anna says she will on one condition. She wants her to confess to everything she did to her family or she will kill her. Olivia still pretends she can’t remember. Olivia calls her bluff. 

Anna starts cutting the cable and continues to threaten Olivia. She tells her you talk or you die. Finally Olivia admits to the doll with the broken neck on her doorstep was her doing. She wanted her to be scared because she was a burden to Duke and she was hoping she would go away. 

Olivia admits she hired Tim and made the recordings for her where she changed the nursery rhymes to scare her. Olivia admits she sent a note to robin telling her that if a love bird dies the other will die too. Anna gets it all on tape. Olivia tells Anna she took Robin to an amusement park. Anna keeps at Olivia getting her to admit everything. She admits she made the elevator fall so that Duke would die one way or another.

Katherine is playing piano. She throws away the portrait of herself. Robert shows up. Robert gets a call that Anna got a confession out of Olivia. He tells Scott who says he is going with him. Robert goes to find Anna. Olivia tells Robert that Anna set her in a trap. Robert arrests Olivia. Robert comforts Anna.
 
June 29  Sean and Anna come to see Tony. He tells them he knows that Frisco is alive. Sean and Anna get Frisco into the catacombs and yell at him for risking himself with Domino. Frisco tells them that Domino has terrorist training camps on these islands. Frisco tells Anna Colton is an assassin and he is going to get his wife back and nothing will stand in his way. 
 
June 30  Katherine is complaining about Robert. Anna and Sean and Robert come to see Felicia. They ask why Katherine is not there.  Robert says don’t ask. Scott comes in to talk to Robert about Olivia’s case. Olivia meets with her attorney who says he is trying to help her win her case despite the evidence. 

Robert and Anna are fighting at the party. Tom intervenes. Sean and Tiffany and Anna and Robert talk. Tiffany feels that she is left out of what is going on (she doesn’t know about Frisco yet). Robert slow dances with Anna. She tells him he should call Katherine and tell her he respects her job. Katherine finishes her concert and gets flowers from her most devoted fan, a Frenchman named Claudio. 

Scott gets a call from Olivia’s lawyer. When he gets there is it just Olivia. She says she has evidence Scott made money off of faking a photo. She says she needs him to break into Robert’s office and steal the confession tape.

July 3 Katherine is going to see Anna at police headquarters. Robert, Sean and Anna are working together. She asks if Felicia saw Frisco last night. Anna and Robert listen to Olivia’s confession tape. Olivia sees Scott and asks him if he got the tape she wanted. Olivia is talking to someone else about Scott and Mr. Butcher. She gives him the tape for safekeeping. Scott is listening in. Katherine shows up at the police station and wants to talk to Robert. Scott is searching Robert’s office for the tape when Anna walks in. 
 
July 4 Olivia’s assistant finds Tom to show him the drugs she found in Olivia’s things. She finds the medicine to induce nausea that Olivia used to get out of the lie detector test. Tom vows to help nail Olivia. Tom goes to visit Olivia in jail.
 
July 5  Robert and Anna get ready for the picnic (nice to see them relaxed in jeans and flannel shirts). She wants to know if he brought the transcript of Olivia’s testimony. Sean and Tiffany show up at Anna’s and Roberts for the picnic. Katherine shows up with Claudio who recognizes Tiffany from her B movies. 

The 4th of July party goes on the docks. The Scorpios have their get together. Sean and Robert leave when they get a call from Tony. The party on the docks continues. All of Port Charles are watching fireworks. Robert and Katherine watch the fireworks. 
 
July 6 Anna and Olin talk about Olivia. Anna meets with Scott. He says she shouldn’t have a problem with Olivia’s confession. Anna talks to her about Frisco coming back to claim part of his life. She tells her Frisco will always be a part of her. Robin has a visit from Rowdy. Lucy talks to Olivia and tells her that there was a fire and everything burned in the office. Olivia is freaking out. Anna and Scott go to see Olivia to try to make a deal with her. Olivia signs a full confession.
 
July 7  Olivia signed the confession and Anna and Scotty are so happy, they are giddy with celebration. Anna tells Sean and Tiffany about the confession. Scott is meeting with the judge that afternoon. Robert asks Anna if she ever thought about coming back on the force. Scott tells Olivia to go to trial. Her lawyer says she has a signed confession it is a mute point. He tells her to plead guilty. Olivia tells them both to leave. Robert, Anna, Sean and Felicia talk about Frisco. Olivia goes before the judge and pleads guilty. The press interviews Anna after Olivia pleads guilty. 

July 10  Tiffany interviews Anna about Olivia changing her plea to guilty. Katherine has a dinner party at the PC Hotel for everything associated with the Jerome trial, Sean, Katherine, Anna, Robert.

July 13 Katherine has a great idea. Katherine invites Anna and Claudio to dinner with her and Robert. Olivia Jerome gets sent to Pine Circle because of her mental state. Olivia tells Anna she should never sleep easy while she is alive. Anna sees Claudio carrying around a gold nugget. Olivia threatens Bobbie. Claudio meets with Domino. They are planning a coupe.

July 14  Robert is not impressed with Claudio. Sean and Robert break into his suite at the hotel to do some snooping. Robert, Sean, Anna, and Felicia confront Frisco. Frisco tells them if he is the one that lives after he faces off with Domino than he will leave PC.

July 17 Tiffany has a million questions for Anna, Robert, and Sean when they arrive back at the Donneally’s. Anna and Robert return to Katherine's for dinner. 

DVD #39B  July 19 Robert wants to get back into VanBuren's hotel room but Guy tells him VanBuren has checked out. His plane is gone and there is no record of it departing. Katherine is off for a picnic with Robert. Bobbie asks Anna to be her character reference for her adoption application. (Note: ABC News Brief Interruption, 2 minutes lost). When rain interrupts their picnic plans, Katherine and Robert eat on the floor in his office. Claudio meets with Anna and gives her a pair of riding boats for Robin. Katherine leaves for Boston and then NYC in Claudio's private jet. Anna and Robert plan to attend Katherine benefit concert in NYC.   

July 21  Robert and Anna attend Katherine's concert in NYC.  VanBuren gets word that the tanker will arrive tonight. Katherine gets mobbed by her socialite fans. Robert thinks that maybe Katherine would prefer a man like Claudio over him. VanBuren tells Claudio his plan.

July 24 Robert and Katherine after her concert in NYC. Van Buren and Claudio planning to eliminate Frisco. Robert wants to get back to PC and passes on staying with Katherine for a high society party. After returning to PC after Katherine’s concert, Anna and Claudio have dinner with Sean and Tiffany and they discuss Frisco and Felicia. Frisco scouts out Van Buren’s tanker. Van Buren’s associate, Tyler, informs him that Frisco knows about the tanker. Robert and Katherine have dinner at an Italian restaurant before he leaves. Robert and Katherine’s romantic evening ends in a argument.

July 25 Frisco talks with Anna about losing Felicia. Robin comes in and jumps into Frisco’s arms, “Frisco your alive!”. Scott offers his services to Frisco for the divorce. Frisco insists he does not need a lawyer but Anna thinks maybe he should meet with Scott. Anna and Robin visits the Jones’.

July 27  Robert discusses his fight with Katherine with Anna. Katherine gets a speeding ticket. Robert tries to make things right with Katherine but neither are willing to apologize and they argue again. Van Buren shows his associates a map of his training camps. Cheryl tries to call Robert.

July 28 Anna invites Robert to the Duke’s Club opening. Claudio and Katherine meet at her townhouse before their dinner date. Duke’s club reopening. Robert is surprised to see Katherine with Claudio at the club together. Terri sings at Dukes. Frisco, Colton and Felicia all show up at Duke’s. Frisco sings a song he wrote for Felicia.

July 31 Mary tries to convince Katherine to apologize to Robert.  Katherine makes plans to go to Newport. Anna comes to the cottage to fix Robert breakfast. She tries to convince him to make things right with Katherine. Sean arrives to tell Robert about Frisco. An upset Felicia meets with Anna. Sean and Robert arrive to talk with Frisco. They are mad Frisco is trying to nab Domino on his own. The Q’s talk with Robert about the missing Ned. Robert gets word that Ned went to Spoon Island. The Q’s and Robert arrive at Wyndamere and find the stranded Ned and Dawn. Anna meets with Katherine and tries to give her insight into Robert. Cheryl tries to call Robert again, when she reaches his answering machine there is a long message of apology from him to Katherine.

August 3  Katherine and Mary in Newport. Anna tells Robert she is worried about Robin. Robert has lunch with Anna and Robin at Kelly’s. Claudio breaks into Frisco’s apartment and is almost caught by Anna. Robin and Rowdy get caught up in a robbery at a gun shop on the docks. Robin gets away and is able to call Robert for help. Robert and Sean arrive on the docks, Rowdy is still a hostage inside the gun shop. Katherine hears the news of a standoff at the gun shop and heads back to PC. Robert goes unarmed into the hostage situation. He gets Rowdy released in exchange for himself.

August 4 Tiffany arrives in NY to visit Cheryl. She learns that Cheryl is eight months pregnant. Cheryl lets her believe that the father is Julian. The hostage situation continues. Lewis tries to negotiate for Robert’s release. Robert turns the tables on the armed gunman and the PCPD arrest him. Robert and Katherine make up. When Cheryl receives word that Julian has tracked her down, she makes plans to leave town as she is hiding out from him.

August 7  Robert and Katherine celebrate with champaign and candles but get interrupted by a call from Anna. She wants to bring an upset Robin over. Frisco shows up too and Sean tries to get Frisco to work with him and Robert to get Domino. Sean sees the golden nugget that Frisco stole. Robin and Anna visits Robert at the cottage. Sean, Robin, and Anna stay for dinner at the cottage. Robin falls asleep at Robert’s cottage.

August 9  Anna and Robin join Katherine at her townhouse. Claudio shows up and Katherine invites him to join them for dinner. 

August 10 Katherine snoops around Claudio’s hotel room. She almost gets caught. Robert, Sean, and Anna come upon Frisco playing Dominoes on the docks with Domino. Robert, Sean and Anna want Felicia to press charges against Frisco for harassment but she refuses. They feel that if he is locked up he would not go after Domino solo and get himself killed. Frisco manages to snag Domino’s key to his private plane. Frisco makes his way on board the plane.

August 11 Frisco snooping around the plane finds the map. Robert and Katherine arrive at the townhouse but are interrupted by Iona. Seems Iona is Katherine’s great aunt. Frisco returns Domino’s key. Katherine invites Iona to stay at the townhouse thus spoiling her and Robert’s evening.

August 14  Iona tells Katherine she is staying in PC. Meanwhile, Robert tells Anna about Iona getting in the way of him spending time alone with Katherine. 

The PCPD arrest Frisco. Frisco accuses Robert of setting him up. Robert is indignant and says he doesn’t operate that way, he does believe someone wants Frisco out of the way (Claudio has planted drugs in his apartment, Frisco knows he has been set up by Domino). Robert surmises that someone wants Frisco out of the way as something big is going down.

Robert questions Frisco, he wants to know everything Frisco learned by listening in on Domino. Anna warns him that he can’t do a damn thing without their help. Felicia pleads that he can’t do it alone. Frisco tells all to Anna and Robert. Robert wants Frisco to leave things to the PCPD. Robert has no choice but to lock Frisco up. Anna ties the gold nugget to Claudio. Claudio destroys the Domino bug. Katherine warns Robert that Claudio is definitely involved with Domino. Robert ties Claudio to Frisco’s apartment break-in

August 15  Robert investigates Claudio. Anna insists on being the one to bust Claudio. Anna shows up at Claudio’s suite to snoop and get his voice on tape for Frisco to ID from the bug. Sean wants to get onboard Domino’s plane to search for the map. Robert and Sean dressed as workman board Domino’s plane but the map is long gone. Bobbie gets the card of a shady adoption lawyer. Robin and Rowdy find pieces of Domino’s map in the trash on the docks.

August 16th Robert tells Iona that he has arranged for her to have a tour of the PCPD. Katherine tells him how sweet that is, he admits he just wanted to get rid of her for a bit and pulls Katherine into a kiss.
