Dante & Lulu #5  June 3 - August 18, 2010 - 8 hour original edit

DVD #5A  In Metro Court's lobby, Brook was on the phone with the bank. After Brook ended the call, Carly promised that soon Brook wouldn't have to worry about money. Edward entered the hotel moments later. He was delighted to see his granddaughter, but disappointed that he had to hear about Brook's arrival from Maya instead of Brook. Edward wanted Brook to move to the Quartermaine mansion, but Carly explained that she had just hired Brook and given her a place to stay until Brook found an apartment.

"Nonsense," Edward argued. He insisted that Carly had enough to deal with trying to get "that travesty of justice" overturned. Carly quickly assured Edward that Jason was watching over Michael. Edward promised that he was doing everything in his power to get his great-grandson released from prison. He then turned his attention back to Brook. Edward offered to give Brook a generous allowance until the money in her trust became available.

Brook was thrilled with the offer until Edward attached some strings to the money. He expected Brook to move to the mansion and to get a degree in business communications. Brook declined the offer. Edward accepted Brook's decision, but he made it clear that she could change her mind any time. After Edward left, Brook confessed to Carly that she'd rather be paid to sleep with Dante.

Dante showed up a short time later. He took the opportunity to brag about Brook to Carly. When Dante and Brook began to banter back and forth about Brook's mad skills in the kitchen, Carly decided to leave them to it. Dante stopped Carly to let her know that he intended to visit Michael in prison. He had picked up a travel book on Sicily because Morgan had mentioned that Michael enjoyed reading them. Brook admitted that she would like to see her cousin, but Dante didn't think that it would be a good idea. According to Dante, Michael didn't want a lot of visitors.

Carly had to look away for a moment to collect her composure. Dante seemed oblivious, but Brook noticed Carly's reaction. After Dante left, Brook asked if Carly were okay. Carly was furious that Dante was the reason that Michael was in jail. Brook offered to leave, but Carly suggested that it was the perfect opportunity for Brook to exploit Lulu's insecurities. Carly explained that Dante was a mama's boy, so the way to Dante was through Olivia.

Brook was waiting for Olivia when Olivia arrived a short time later. Brook explained that Dante and Lulu had helped her to get a job at Metro Court, so Brook wanted to repay them by preparing a special dinner for them. Olivia was happy to help out with the menu. As they discussed what to make, Brook managed to enlist Olivia's help with preparing the meal. Olivia and Brook picked up what they needed and then headed to Dante's loft.

Brook was surprised that Olivia had a key. Olivia explained that she still did Dante's laundry because his appearance was a reflection on her. Olivia changed the subject as they made their way to the kitchen. Olivia confessed that she was eager to catch up with Brook. Brook took the opportunity to apologize to Olivia about the "boy toy" comment she had made at Jake's. She hoped that Olivia hadn't taken the remark personally.

Olivia brushed it off as she assured Brook that she was fine with it. Brook was curious how serious Olivia and Johnny were. Olivia claimed that she and Johnny were taking it one day at time and then guided the discussion away from her personal life. Brook pumped Olivia for information about Lulu and Dante's relationship. Olivia bragged that Lulu was a wonderful girl, but that Lulu hated Sonny.

Brook pointed out that Sonny would always be a part of Dante's life because he was Dante's father. Olivia was glad that Dante had someone to talk to who understood that. She hoped that the next time Dante needed to vent he'd have Brook to just listen. Their heads turned when Lulu arrived. Lulu was surprised to see Olivia and Brook cooking in Dante's kitchen.

Olivia noticed that Lulu held a bag. Lulu explained that she had picked up dinner for her and Dante. Olivia hoped that it would keep, because they had made dinner. Brook assured Olivia that she had everything well in hand, so she invited Olivia and Lulu to sit down and relax. Lulu smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes.

Dante was waiting for Michael when Jason entered the visitor's room. Dante demanded to know where Michael was. Jason answered, "You got me instead."

6/4 At Dante's apartment, as Brook and Olivia cooked in the kitchen, Lulu wished she could be of more help. Lulu showed the women the Goldenrod flowers she had gotten. Olivia and Brook informed Lulu that Dante was allergic to that flower.

Lulu returned after having gotten rid of the flowers. Brook and Olivia reminisced about their shared history with Dante. Lulu tried not to feel left out as Brook and Olivia described the first time Dante asked Brook to dance at a wedding. Lulu asked Olivia and Brook if she could learn the recipe that Dante was so fond of, but they told Lulu that it was something that was just passed down from one generation to the next. Brook looked peeved as Olivia praised Lulu for her fierce loyalty and love of Dante.

Lulu tried to stir the risotto as Brook advised her what to do. Dante arrived and Lulu rushed to greet him. Dante and Brook shared a warm moment over Brook's great cooking skills as a jealous Lulu looked on. As Lulu and Dante settled down to dinner, Brook tried to leave. Dante insisted that Brook join them. Brook protested, but Dante wouldn't take no for an answer.

Brook and Dante bonded over a childhood memory of when Dante had poured sticky syrup all over himself. Brook had hosed him down after Dante had taken off his shirt, and everyone had thought they were being naughty. As Dante and Brook laughed, Lulu looked uncomfortable.

At the Metro Court, Spinelli and Carly agreed that after they broke Dante and Lulu up, the next phase of their plan included the complete destruction of Dante's life and career. Spinelli and Carly decided to execute their plan slowly and in stages. Stage one was the breakup of Lulu and Dante. Stage two included a long and patient process of planting evidence to set Dante up as a corrupt cop with Lucky being the one to stumble on the evidence that would bring Dante down. Carly emboldened Spinelli's resolve by telling him that his cyber skills would bring justice for Jason and Michael. Carly thought that the best way to set Dante up was to plant drug money Spinelli was sure that he could do the job. Carly warned Spinelli that there would be no backing out once they kicked the plan into gear. Spinelli vowed that the "Deceitful One" would pay for what he did to Michael and Jason.

At Pentonville, Jason refused to let Dante visit Michael. Dante insisted that he was trying to get Michael out of prison, but Jason snapped that Dante would only be able to see Michael once Dante could actually free Michael. Dante didn't think Jason needed to protect Michael from Dante. Jason reminded Dante that Dante had betrayed Michael. Jason believed that Dante was only pretending to care about Michael to get close to Sonny again. Jason thought Dante still wanted to build a case against Sonny. Jason told Dante that he'd never trust Dante again.

6/7 After a fabulous meal cooked by Brook in Dante's loft, Lulu began to feel like a third wheel as Dante and Brook discussed their mutual life in Bensonhurst. Lulu tried to keep a stiff upper lip, but it was obvious that she felt threatened by Dante and Brook's shared past. After Brook left, Dante told Lulu that the "For Rent" sign was gone from the loft across the hall. They laughed and talked about the meal that Brook had prepared for them. Lulu continued to tease Dante about the girls from his past. Dante responded by telling Lulu that he had fun with all of them, but that Lulu was the only girl he had ever told that he loved.

Brook went to see Carly and told her that their plan was starting to work because she had seen the beginning of insecurity in Lulu after the meal and conversation that they had in Dante's loft. Carly told Brook that she was speeding up the plan and had rented the loft across the hall from Dante, so Brook could live there. Brook smiled as Carly handed her the keys.

6/8 In Carly's living room, Carly handed Brook a key to an apartment in Dante's building. Brook wondered how she would explain renting the apartment when she was broke. Carly had thought of that. She explained that Ned's name was on all of the paperwork, so Brook could claim that Ned had rented the apartment for his daughter to spare her from having to live with the Quartermaines. Carly suggested that Brook could explain that Ned had selected the apartment because he had discovered that Dante, an old family friend and police officer, lived in the same building. Brook was impressed that Carly had thought of everything. Carly took the opportunity to remind Brook that she wanted a picture or video of Dante cheating on Lulu before Brook received any money.

At the loft, Lulu and Dante woke up in each other's arms. As Dante and Lulu started to make love, Lulu recalled Carly telling her, "Tonight, when you are getting horizontal with your heroic Dante, make sure you look him in the eye and you see my son sitting in a cell." Lulu tensed up. Dante was curious what was troubling Lulu. She insisted she was fine, but Dante continued to sense that something was wrong. Lulu confessed that she had been thinking about what Carly had told her just after Michael's sentencing.

"That's harsh," Dante observed. Lulu agreed that Carly was a pro at pushing buttons. Lulu understood that, at the time, Carly had been hurt and angry. She was certain that Carly would regret those words since time had passed. Lulu was grateful that Carly had forgiven her. According to Lulu, Carly realized that her own mistakes had impacted Michael's life. However, Lulu couldn't help but feel that her happiness with Dante had been at Michael's expense. Dante confided that he felt as if he had let his little brother down.

Lulu and Dante got dressed and then went to the living room. Lulu apologized for killing the mood, but Dante blamed Carly. He insisted that what he and Lulu had wasn't anything that they should apologize for or feel guilty about. Lulu agreed, but she felt terrible for Michael. Dante did, as well, which was why he was determined to get Michael out of jail. After Dante left, Lulu started to clean up. She decided to investigate when she heard a noise in the hallway. Lulu was stunned to see Brook opening an apartment door across the hall. "What are you doing?" she asked Brook. "Moving in," Brook answered innocently.

Dante entered the parlor; he was furious when he saw his parents together. Dante demanded to know what Olivia was doing there? Olivia quickly assured her son that nothing was going on, but she warned him that he didn't have the right to police her life. Dante didn't seem to care as he angrily waited for one of them to give him an explanation. Sonny revealed that Kristina was struggling with Johnny's false accusations that Sonny had abused women. Dante snidely guessed that his mother had been telling Sonny everything that Sonny wanted to hear to feel better about himself. Dante accused Sonny of being abusive as he reminded Sonny of all the ways that Sonny had mistreated women and justified murder, including shooting Dante at pointblank range in the chest. Dante wished that Carly had kept Michael away from Sonny. Sonny watched in silence as Dante stormed out of the house.

6/9 At the loft, Lulu lounged in bed while Dante handed her a bowl of cereal. As Dante slipped back into bed, he admitted that he wished that they could stay there forever. Dante acknowledged that they weren't popular with anyone, so no one would care. Lulu had a feeling that Dante's new neighbor would be knocking on his door soon. Dante was surprised to learn that Brook had moved in next door.

Lulu and Dante made their way to the kitchen, where Dante admitted that he hoped to exchange his skills as a handyman for a few home-cooked meals. Lulu half-jokingly confessed that she was starting to feel threatened by Brook. Dante assured Lulu that she didn't have anything to worry about because Brook was family. Lulu corrected Dante; Brook wasn't actually related to him. Dante clarified that Sonny was related to him, but Brook was family. "Point taken," Lulu conceded.

Dante pulled Lulu close and then began to nuzzle her neck. He promised her that Brook wouldn't be a third wheel because he was confident that Brook knew how he felt about Lulu. Dante and Lulu made love; afterwards, they cuddled on the sofa until Dante decided to give Lulu a batting lesson. He slipped on his boxer-briefs and then fetched the baseball bat that he had received on Bat Day at Yankee Stadium in 1994.

Lulu pulled on Dante's shirt and then took the baseball bat from Dante. Dante stood behind Lulu to show her the finer points of swinging a bat. Dante pulled out a pair of socks and then pitched them to Lulu when he was satisfied that she was ready. Lulu smiled with delight when she hit the socks. Their impromptu game of baseball ended when Lulu was called in to work.

At Greystone Manor, Brook paid Sonny a visit. Sonny warmly embraced Brook as he welcomed her to his home. He was curious if Lois had accompanied Brook. Brook explained that her parents were busy working, so she had arrived in town solo. Sonny was surprised to learn that Brook had moved into an apartment across the hall from Dante. Brook admitted that she knew that Sonny was Dante's father. She couldn't believe that Olivia had kept the secret for so long. Sonny was eager to hear about Brook's life in Bensonhurst, particularly in regards to Dante.

Brook happily obliged Sonny by telling him amusing stories about Dante growing up. She started talking about Dante's graduation from the police academy, but stopped when she realized that it might make Sonny uncomfortable. Sonny insisted that he admired Dante for having the courage to stand by his convictions; it was a trait that Sonny shared with his son. Sonny strolled over to his desk to pick up pictures of his other children to show to Brook. Brook was surprised by how different they looked and how much they had grown. After she handed the photographs back to Sonny, she decided to leave. However, she extended an open invitation for dinner whenever Sonny would like to stop by. She added that she would try to persuade Dante to join them.

Sonny bumped into Lulu on the street. Lulu gave Sonny the cold shoulder, but Sonny ignored it. He was amazed at Lulu's commitment to hating him. Sonny suspected that it must take a lot of energy. "It's easy," Lulu assured him. She just had to look at the scar on Dante's chest. Sonny insisted that it had been a terrible mistake; he wondered if they could move past it. Lulu argued that a mistake was not putting the cap back on a tube of toothpaste or forgetting someone's birthday. However, it was not shooting your son in the chest.

Sonny pointed out that Dante had chosen not to turn Sonny in, just like Sonny had chosen to forgive Dante for Michael's incarceration. Lulu was outraged by the suggestion that Dante was responsible for Michael's situation; she insisted that Sonny's choices and life had put Michael in Pentonville. Sonny was curious why Lulu was doing everything in her power to make Dante hate his own father if she loved Dante. "You did that," Lulu yelled. She was adamant that she hadn't turned Dante against Sonny.

Carly walked up during the argument and asked if everything were okay. Lulu insisted that Sonny was the problem because he wanted her to forgive and forget what he had done to Dante, but it was never going to happen. Carly agreed that Lulu had a right to be angry, but she also pointed out that Sonny was Dante's father and a parent who would fight for his kid. Carly didn't see any middle ground for them. "That's because there isn't any," Lulu snapped before she stormed off. Carly suggested that Sonny had been wasting his breath with Lulu because she was young and in love, and thought that she knew everything.

Dante sprinted to the door when he heard a frantic knock followed by Brook's desperate pleas for him to open the door. He was stunned when he found Brook, dripping wet and wearing nothing but a towel, standing on his doorstep.

6/10 At the loft, Dante was curious why Brook was naked and standing in his doorway. Brook pointed out that she was wearing a towel. She explained that she had been in the shower when the cable guy had knocked on her door. By the time that Brook had answered the door, the cable guy had left. Brook feared that it would be ages before he returned, so she had decided to try to catch him. As a result, Brook ended up locked out of her apartment.

Dante lent Brook one of his shirts and then tried to pick the lock on her door. Lulu found Dante and Brook in the hallway a short time later. Lulu was surprised by Brook's state of undress. Brook explained what had happened while Dante continued to work on the lock. Dante explained that he had two choices: pick the lock or arrest Brook for indecent exposure. Lulu smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes.

Brook sighed with relief when Dante finally managed to open her door. Brook called him her hero, promised to return the shirt, and then slipped into her apartment. Lulu noted, "You're a handy guy to have around, Hero." Dante smiled and then kissed Lulu. They returned to his loft moments later. While Dante pulled on a pair of shoes, Lulu announced that she had the next eighteen hours off, so she was all his. Dante confessed that he had an appointment with a lawyer to discuss Michael's case, but he promised to return as soon as possible.

Lulu thought that Michael was lucky to have a brother like Dante. She assured him that she would be waiting for Dante when he returned. Later, Brook dropped off the shirt that she had borrowed. Lulu was surprised to see that it had been washed and ironed. "Of course," Brook responded; she refused to give Dante a wrinkled mess. Lulu seemed dumbfounded that Brook owned an iron, but no furniture.

Brook didn't find it odd; she assumed that Lulu also owned an iron. Lulu assured Brook that she liked her, but she thought that Brook was pushing it by locking herself out of her apartment and always showing off her "happy homemaking skills." Lulu staked her claim on Dante and then clarified that she didn't have any intention of sharing Dante with Brook. Lulu and Brook were unaware that Dante had arrived home in time to hear the exchange.

6/11 At Dante's apartment, Lulu told Brook not to waste her time going after Dante. Brook responded that she was not after Dante. Lulu pointed out that Brook had shown up at Dante's place wearing just a towel and was ironing Dante's shirts. Dante, listening in on the conversation, smiled as Lulu refused to back down. Brook insisted that Dante was just a guy she grew up with. Lulu declared that Brook wasn't allowed to visit without calling first. Brook apologized for upsetting Lulu and walked off. Dante revealed himself from his hiding spot. He told Lulu that he found her territorial attitude sexy and kissed her.

Dante thought that he had found a new lawyer that believed Michael's appeal had a good chance. Lulu was unable to get over her irritation at Brook. Dante claimed that Lulu didn't have to worry about Brook, but that he liked how Lulu staked a claim on him. Lulu insisted that she wasn't jealous. Dante reminded Lulu that Brook was just family to him, but Lulu still wanted to get Brook's spare key back. Dante saw that Lulu was trying to iron the shirt that Brook had dropped off. Dante pointed out that Lulu didn't have to prove her love for him. He joked that  if she really needed to prove herself, Lulu could just go around the apartment with nothing but a towel on. Smiling, Lulu exited to the bathroom. Dante looked through his mail and opened a large manila envelope. In it, he found a picture of a man, who looked dead, on the ground.

6/14 Dante was distracted by a photo of a dead body and was not as attentive to Lulu as she would have liked. At first, Lulu thought that Dante was upset with her, but he told her that it was an old case that had come back to haunt him. When Lulu received a call from Maxie, Dante encouraged Lulu to go help Maxie. After Lulu left, Dante called Ronnie to join him. When Dante showed Ronnie the photo and told him it might be from Franco, Ronnie told Dante to give the picture to the Feds and get back to work making a  case against Sonny.

Dante went to see Jason to show him the picture he had received. Jason refused to talk to Dante or open the envelope that Dante had with him. Dante took out the picture and told Jason that he believed it Franco had sent it. Before Jason could comment, the warden walked in, looked directly at Jason, and said, "I warned you what would happen if you brought trouble here."

Outside Dante's loft, Carly and Brook staged a scene for Lulu to overhear. Carly pretended to be offended with Brook for going after Dante and threatened to fire her. Lulu rushed out of her apartment and defended Brook. She told Carly that she was secure in her relationship with Dante, and Brook was not a threat.

6/15 In the hallway, Lulu appreciated Carly's concern, but she insisted that it wasn't necessary to fire Brook. Lulu insisted that Brook was like a sister to Dante, so there wasn't any need to fear that Brook was any kind of threat to Lulu's relationship with Dante. Brook pretended to be embarrassed by the scene that Carly had made, so she asked Lulu and Carly to keep it down. Brook insisted that she didn't want Dante to overhear. Lulu confessed that Dante wasn't at home. Carly wondered where Dante had gone. Lulu quietly admitted that she wasn't sure.

Brook took the opportunity to slip into her apartment while Lulu and Carly entered Dante's loft. Carly apologized; she claimed that she hadn't intended for Lulu to overhear any of it. Lulu was curious why Carly seemed so certain that Dante would be unfaithful. Carly masterfully downplayed the scene with Brook, which only fueled Lulu's curiosity. Eventually, Carly explained that, even before they had known that they were father and son, everyone had noticed similarities between Sonny and Dante. Lulu agreed. Carly reminded Lulu how faithless Sonny had been over the years, so she was worried that Dante would turn out to be exactly like his father. Lulu insisted that Dante only had eyes for Lulu and that Sonny had cheated because he had always been emotionally needy.

Carly was curious what Lulu knew of Dante's past. Lulu seemed a bit uncomfortable with the direction of the conversation; however, she revealed that Dante hadn't been seriously involved with anyone until he had met Lulu. Carly confided that Sonny was the same way; he made women feel as if they were the only woman in the world for him. Lulu steadfastly insisted that Dante loved her, so she wasn't worried about him cheating on her. Carly backed off, but she urged Lulu to give it some thought if Dante started to behave differently.

Carly then went to Brook's apartment to knock on the door. While Lulu looked on, Carly informed Brook that her job was safe, thanks to Lulu. After Carly left, Brook thanked Lulu. Lulu assured Brook that it wasn't a problem. However, Lulu appeared a bit troubled once she returned to the loft. Later, Carly was on the phone with Brook and was commending her on her performance in front of Lulu. Carly made plans to meet Brook the following day to plan their next move and then disconnected the call.

In the visitor's room at Pentonville, the warden revealed that they had found Carter's body, so Jason was headed to solitary confinement. Dante demanded to know what was going on, but the warden informed Dante that it didn't concern him. Dante identified himself as a police officer, but the warden was unmoved. Dante tried to remind the warden that Jason was in Pentonville to protect Michael, but the warden insisted that Jason be taken away.

Michael was admitted to the visitor's room a short time later. Dante explained that the warden was questioning Jason about Carter's murder. Dante wanted to know who Carter was and why the warden suspected Jason of murdering him. Michael refused to discuss it, but Dante insisted that he was trying to help. Eventually, Michael admitted that Carter had attacked him just before Jason had arrived at Pentonville. However, Michael refused to elaborate beyond that.

Dante realized that Jason had good reason to go after Carter. Michael insisted that Jason couldn't have killed Carter because Jason had been with Michael at the time of Carter's murder. Dante suspected that Michael was lying; he urged Michael to reconsider because Michael could end up doing more time in jail if the authorities found out. Dante was frustrated when Michael refused to change his story.

6/16 At the loft, Dante finished getting dressed while Lulu stretched in bed. She had noticed that Dante had been restless all night. Dante seemed reluctant to talk about what was troubling him, but Lulu was persistent. Dante opened up about his trip to Pentonville to see Jason. Lulu was stunned to learn that someone had attacked Michael and that Jason had killed the man. Lulu admitted that she had never really wrapped her head around how dangerous prison could be.

Dante acknowledged that Michael and Jason were surrounded by violent criminals, which was why Dante was desperate to get Michael out of Pentonville. According to Dante, Michael lost a little bit of his humanity each day he remained behind bars. Dante feared that Michael would be lost to them if Dante didn't find a way to get his brother out of jail quickly. Dante and Lulu moved to the living room after Lulu got dressed.

Dante was frustrated because he couldn't help Michael. Lulu suggested that what was done was done. Dante argued that there was a point when a person had to stop relying on others and step up for their family. Lulu was gone when Claire arrived a short time later. Claire assured Dante that she was doing everything in her power to get Michael released from jail, but she explained that it would take time.

Claire sensed that Dante was troubled. Dante didn't want to discuss it, so he showed her the crime scene photograph that Franco had sent to him. Claire and Dante couldn't figure out if the picture had been taken at an actual crime scene or if it had been staged; however, Dante was determined to find out. Claire wondered if Franco had sent the picture to Dante because he had saved Franco's last intended victim, Lulu. Dante revealed that he had once arrested Franco; he suspected that it had been shortly after Franco's first murder.

Claire vowed to arrest Franco, but Dante feared that it might pull Claire away from working on Michael's case. Claire promised that it wouldn't. After Claire left, Dante went to see Judge Carroll. Judge Carroll made it clear that he didn't have any regrets. Dante informed the judge about Michael's attack. Judge Carroll was sorry to hear about it, but he believed that the assault had been beyond his control.

Dante revealed that the assailant had been killed and that Jason had likely been responsible. Dante clarified that there hadn't been any proof that Jason had killed the man, but Dante was glad that Michael's attacker was dead. Dante insisted that Judge Carroll had the power to make certain that "real justice" was served by releasing Michael from prison.

Michael was surprised when he was escorted to the visitors' room for a third visit. It was Lulu. Lulu admitted that she was there because Dante had told her about what had happened. Michael was curious what exactly Dante had said. Lulu revealed that she knew about the attack and that Jason had killed the man responsible. Lulu realized that Michael had mixed feelings about Dante, but she promised Michael that Dante was working hard to help Michael.

Lulu confessed that she was concerned that things might be more complicated because Jason had killed a man to protect Michael. Lulu had no idea what Dante would do next. Michael wondered if she wanted him to tell Dante that he didn't need Dante's help to get out of jail. "No," Lulu quickly assured Michael. She just wanted Michael to understand how hard Dante was fighting for him. Lulu revealed that Dante was so disillusioned about the justice system that he had considered giving up his badge.

6/17 At Metro Court Restaurant, Lulu let Carly know that she had gone to see Michael. As Lulu talked about the visit, it quickly became clear to Lulu that Carly had no idea who Carter was or why Jason would kill him. Lulu was forced to fill Carly in on the details, but she assured Carly that Michael was fine. Carly argued that Michael wouldn't be okay until he was out of Pentonville.

Michael wondered why Dante would lie to protect Sonny about the shooting if Dante were only interested in his badge. Jason speculated that Dante had been trying to safeguard the case that Dante had built against Sonny for killing Claudia. Jason conceded that Sonny was extremely loyal and that family was very important to him, so Jason was certain that Sonny loved Dante. Michael suggested that Sonny had groomed Dante to take over the mob and that there was a strong connection between Sonny and Dante. It bothered Michael that Sonny saw Dante as a man, while Sonny still considered Michael to be a child.

In Judge Carroll's chambers, Dante pleaded his case for Michael's sentence to be reduced to time served. Dante argued that prison wasn't the place for Michael. Judge Carroll reminded Dante that Michael had confessed to killing a woman, so the sentence had been very lenient given the numerous laws that Michael had broken while trying to cover up the crime. Dante put all the blame on Sonny. Dante argued that Michael loved Sonny, so it had been impossible for Michael to go against Sonny's wishes.

Judge Carroll was unmoved; he insisted that Michael needed to learn that there were consequences for his actions. Dante urged the judge to show compassion because Michael had been attacked in jail. The judge pointed out that if he released Michael then Michael would just return to Sonny. "Where's the justice in that?" the judge wondered. Dante didn't think that it was too late to save Michael; he believed that Michael would learn a valuable lesson about the justice system if the judge showed mercy. Judge Carroll made it clear that there would be some conditions if he were to consider releasing Michael. "Anything," Dante promised.

Lulu was waiting when Dante arrived home. She was curious why he had called her to meet him, but Dante wasn't in the mood to talk. He swept Lulu into his arms and then began to make love to her. Afterwards, Lulu confessed that she was proud of Dante. He had vowed to find a way to get Michael out of jail and he hadn't stopped until he had succeeded. Dante was surprised that she had figured out why he was in such a good mood. Lulu explained that his smile, when he had arrived home, had given him away.

Dante revealed that there were some stipulations for Michael's release from Pentonville. Dante had to take full responsibility for Michael, which meant that Michael would be moving in with him. Also, Dante had to make certain that Sonny and Jason were stayed away from Michael.

6/18 At Dante's apartment, Lulu and Dante were lying together after making love. Lulu lauded Dante for getting Michael released. Dante was happy that Michael was finally leaving prison, but he realized that Michael living with him might make the apartment a bit crowded. Lulu asked Dante to define the parameters of Michael's release. Dante stated that Michael was going to be his responsibility. Michael would have to have a curfew, an ankle monitor, community service, and be prohibited from seeing Sonny. Dante agreed with the judge's opinion that Sonny was a bad influence, and declared he would enforce that completely.

Later, Lulu told Brook that Michael was going to live with Dante as a condition of Michael's release. Brook commented that Michael's presence might put a damper on Lulu's romance with Dante. Lulu said why Dante agreed to having Michael live with him. Lulu conceded that she and Dante would just have to spend more time at her place, but then Brook pointed out that Dante had to stay close to Michael. Brook offered to keep Michael company if Lulu and Dante ever needed some private time.

Dante entered Michael’s cell and told him that he was free to go home. Jason asked Dante how Michael was able to go free. Dante revealed how he begged Judge Carroll to release Michael. Dante stated the conditions: Michael would have to live with Dante, go to counseling, do community service, and wear an ankle monitor. Michael didn't want to leave Jason behind, but Jason insisted Michael take the chance at freedom. Michael hugged Jason goodbye and followed Dante.

At Jason and Spinelli's, Carly demanded an update of Spinelli's work to frame Dante as a crooked cop. Spinelli revealed that everything was in order for their plan to be executed. Carly felt like the only thing she had to look forward to was bringing down Dante.

At Pozzulos, Dante announced to Sonny that Michael had been released. Sonny wanted to see Michael, but Dante revealed that one of the conditions of Michael's release was minimal contact with Sonny.

6/21  Brook and Lulu discussed Michael's release at Dante's loft. Brook insinuated that because of Michael, Lulu and Dante would have less time together. Lulu said that she was proud of Dante and that they would both do whatever it took to get Michael back on his feet. Lulu and Brook were interrupted by Olivia, who had just left Johnny's and told them what she believed to be true about Johnny's relationship with Kristina. She told Lulu that Johnny was self-destructive and begged Lulu to intercede. Olivia said that Johnny had provided no explanation and refused to deny that he was involved with Kristina.

Olivia said that someone had to tell Johnny that it was not okay. Lulu said that she and Johnny were over, and it was not her place to tell him what to do. She also said that Sonny deserved every bad thing that happened to him because he had tried to kill Dante. Lulu said that if Johnny could drive Sonny crazy, then more power to him.

Carly, Jax, Morgan, Kristina, Molly, and Josslyn were all waiting to welcome Michael home. Carly was not overjoyed to learn that Michael would have to live with Dante, but she swallowed her comments and smiled.

Dante went to see Sonny at the restaurant office. He told Sonny that Michael had been released into his custody with certain conditions, including an ankle monitor, community service, and counseling. Sonny wanted to go to Michael immediately, but Dante said that Judge Carroll considered Sonny a bad influence and that his contact with Michael had to be minimal. Sonny did not like hearing that and protested that he was being punished. Dante told Sonny that he was being selfish. He told Sonny to stop dragging his kids down with him. Dante told Sonny that he was responsible for putting Michael in prison.

When Sonny tried to thank Dante for getting Michael out, Dante told Sonny that he did not want his gratitude; he wanted Sonny to acknowledge that he was bad for his kids. Sonny did not see it that way. Sonny felt he was being punished for loving his kids. Dante left after telling Sonny to do the right thing and stay away from Michael.

When Dante arrived to pick up Michael, Jax thanked him. Carly also thanked him, but the gratitude did not reach her eyes. Dante told the family about the conditions for Michael's release, and they agreed to abide by them.

Lulu greeted Michael enthusiastically when he arrived at the loft with Dante. She showed him where he would sleep. When Dante put a hand on Michael's shoulder, he reacted instinctively and threw a punch, which did not connect. Dante let the incident pass. When Michael asked for a beer, Dante defined the conditions of release, which included no alcohol, mandatory counseling, community service, and an ankle monitor. Michael said he did not care, he was just glad to be out. Dante told Michael if he even made one tiny misstep, he would be right back in prison. Dante told Michael that if he screwed up, there would be nothing that Dante could do to keep him on the outside. The loft elevator opened. Sonny stepped out and told Michael that he was there to welcome his son home.

6/22 At Carly's house, Brook assumed that Carly had dropped her vendetta against Dante and Lulu because Michael had been released from Pentonville. Brook wanted Carly to cut her a check for ten thousand dollars, so that they could conclude their business arrangement. Carly made it clear that nothing had changed; she remained determined to destroy Dante and Lulu's relationship.

At the loft, Sonny reunited with Michael despite Dante's misgivings. Sonny promised to help Michael get back to his life. Dante decided that it was time for Sonny to leave, but Sonny was reluctant to go. Sonny suggested that Dante be a brother instead of a cop. Dante argued that Sonny shouldn't ignore a court order. Sonny and Dante argued back and forth until Lulu insisted, "That's enough."

Lulu accused Sonny of being selfish because he was more focused on trying to prove that he was a great father rather than actually being one. Lulu urged Michael not to listen to Sonny. She insisted that the judge had sentenced Michael to prison because of Sonny. Lulu then turned to Dante to remind him that, ultimately, it was between Sonny and Michael to decide what to do. She kissed Dante and then left.

Sonny didn't deny that he wanted to a father to Michael and Dante. "Prove it," Dante challenged Sonny. Dante wanted Sonny to go home. Michael agreed that Sonny should listen to Dante. Michael was glad that Sonny had stopped by to welcome him home, but Michael believed that it would be best for Sonny to stay away. However, Michael clarified that neither Dante nor the judge could order Michael to stop loving Sonny.

Sonny was disappointed because he had hoped to spend time with both of his sons. Sonny confessed that he just wanted to know how to move forward and to be a better father. Dante suggested that Sonny should stay away from his children if he truly wanted to be a good father. Sonny wondered why Dante always insisted on seeing the worst in him. Sonny loved all of his children, including Dante.

After Sonny left, Dante handed Michael a blanket and pillow, so that Michael could sleep on the sofa. Dante apologized for getting between Michael and his dad. "You mean our dad," Michael corrected Dante. Dante ignored the reminder as he explained that a person was defined by their actions. Michael recalled Sonny teaching him how to drive a speedboat and to fish.

Michael realized that Sonny hadn't given his children the best life, but not for lack of trying. Michael admitted that he had once felt threatened by Dante's relationship with Sonny, but that had changed. Michael revealed that he felt sad for them because Sonny would always love Dante, regardless how much Dante threw that back in Sonny's face. Michael suspected that, deep down inside, it also hurt Dante. Later, Dante acknowledged that Sonny loved his children, but not enough to walk away from the mob. Michael argued that it wasn't that simple. Michael insisted that, just like everyone else, there was good and bad in Sonny.

Lulu showed up at Carly's house while Carly cleared away the decorations from Michael's homecoming party. Lulu explained that she had just left Dante's place, where Sonny was trying to spend time with Michael. Lulu feared that Michael would end up back in jail if Sonny didn't stay away. Lulu relaxed when Carly agreed to talk to Sonny. Carly admitted that she wished that Michael were home with her, but she was glad that her son had Lulu and Dante. Lulu was grateful that Carly was not mad at Dante.

6/23 At Dante's loft, Claire explained that she had to ask Michael some questions about Franco. She realized that Michael viewed her as the enemy, but she assured him that she was glad that he was out of prison. Michael didn't know how he could help her, since he didn't know anything about Franco. Claire told Michael about the pictures that Dante and Maxie had received from Franco. She also told him about Carter's dying words. Claire was eager to know everything that Michael could tell her about Carter. Michael insisted that he didn't know anything, but Claire continued to hammer away at Michael until Michael yelled out that he was happy that Carter was dead because he had been a sick freak.

Later, Claire found Dante working at the police station. She apologized for pushing Michael so hard about Carter. Dante reminded her that it would take Michael some time to adjust to life outside of Pentonville. He confided that one of the reasons the judge had agreed to release Michael was because he had been concerned about the long-term effects that prison would have on someone as young as Michael. The conversation shifted when Dante revealed that he had an idea about how to lure Franco out of hiding. He explained that Franco was all about Jason, so he thought that they should use Jason as bait. Dante was certain that if they let Jason out of jail then Franco would surface to contact Jason. Claire agreed that it was a good plan; however, it wouldn't happen. Her career had taken a serious hit when she had failed to convict Sonny, so she didn't want to risk releasing Jason from jail. "Even if it means taking down a serial killer?" Dante wondered.

6/24 At the police station, Dante tried to persuade Claire to petition to have Jason released from Pentonville, in order to lure Franco out of hiding. Claire feared that it would be the death of her career, but Dante disagreed. He insisted that apprehending and convicting a serial killer would be a tremendous boost to her reputation. Claire didn't want to risk putting a thug like Jason on the loose. Dante argued that Jason was their best hope of catching Franco, but Claire wasn't swayed. She reminded Dante that he was supposed to be building a case against Sonny; she suggested that perhaps he was using Franco as an excuse not to bust Sonny.

Later, Dante and Claire arrived. Jax showed them the picture that Franco had sent and then told them about the photograph that Carly had found after Josslyn's christening. Claire confessed that she had been aware of Franco's recent activity, so she had gone to see Jason at Pentonville. Claire understood that Franco was trying to get Jason's attention. Carly was curious what Claire planned to do about it. Dante revealed that he had a plan, but they needed Claire to go along with it. Claire spoke up before Dante could elaborate; she promised to review everything with her superiors. Claire quickly thanked Jax and Carly for calling them and then left. Dante assured Carly and Jax that they had done the right thing and then followed Claire out.

Claire informed Dante that she had talked to her supervisors about how to proceed with Franco. They had agreed to release Jason into Dante's custody. Dante was pleased, but Claire warned him that there was a condition: if Jason ran then Dante would be charged with aiding and abetting as well as obstruction of justice. Claire made it clear that Dante might end up in prison if Jason wasn't returned to Pentonville after Franco's capture.

6/25 At the police station, Dante absorbed the idea being Jason's watchdog if Jason were to be released from prison to bait Franco. Claire confirmed that Dante would be sent to prison if Jason ran while under his custody. Dante replied, "Screw that." Dante refused to risk his badge and being sent to prison. He also believed that all Claire was concerned about was advancing her career by capturing Franco. Claire pointed out that it was Dante's duty to help, but Dante refused to go along with it.

Back at Dante's place, Dante opened up to Lulu about Franco resurfacing. He promised Lulu that they would catch Franco. Lulu and Dante started making out. Michael walked in on them. Lulu and Dante separated, embarrassed. Dante and Lulu both insisted that Michael shouldn't feel bad, since Dante's apartment was Michael's home as well. Dante, Lulu, and Michael began to discuss the implications of Franco being back in their lives. As Michael expressed worry for his siblings, Dante admitted that Jason could get released conditionally to help capture Franco. Dante also said he wasn't sure that he wanted to agree to having Jason under his custody.

Dante revealed that he'd be charged as an accessory if Jason ran off, and Dante would go to prison. Lulu agreed that Jason would take off because Jason hated Dante. Dante asked for Michael's opinion. Michael admitted that Jason would do anything to take Franco down, but he could see Jason taking off to avoid going back to jail. Dante decided that he had to agree to Claire's deal.

Dante went to the police station and approached Claire. He said that he'd agree to take Jason into his custody. Claire wondered what had changed Dante's mind. Dante admitted that he couldn't live with the idea of Franco killing again.

At Pentonville, Dante revealed to Jason that Jason was being temporarily released to be bait for Franco. Dante said that Jason would be under Dante's custody, and if Jason ran, Dante would end up in Pentonville. He warned Jason that if Jason ran, he'd shoot Jason to stop him.

Brook arrived and reintroduced herself to Michael. She reminded Michael that they were cousins and that she used to babysit him. She then wondered why Michael looked sad even though he was free from prison. Michael admitted he felt at fault for Jason being in prison. Michael was also sad that he was unable to see Sonny. Michael admitted that he understood why the judge didn't want him to see Sonny but that didn't stop him from missing his father. Brook suggested that Dante might mellow towards Sonny and advised Michael to use his time with Dante to get Sonny and Dante closer together. Lulu walked in as Brook said these words to Michael.

6/28 Dante went to Pentonville to tell Jason that he was being released into Dante's custody to act as bait to catch Franco. Jason wanted a gun, but Dante said that it would make it too easy for Jason to run. Dante said he was not willing to risk being put in prison if Jason got away. Jason told him, "No gun, no deal."

Lulu overheard Brook encouraging Michael to act as a go-between for Dante and Sonny. She interrupted and chastised Brook severely for encouraging a relationship between Michael and Sonny because it was against the rules of Michael's probation. Brook said she meant after Michael was off probation. She told Lulu that not everyone agreed with Lulu's assessment of Sonny and that, like it or not, Sonny was Dante's father and Sonny loved all his children. Michael agreed with Brook. They were both calm, but Lulu was visibly upset.

After Brook left, Lulu told Michael not to let Brook talk him into anything. She was also worried about what would happen to Dante if Jason ran while in Dante's custody. She was sure that Jason would try to get away just so Dante would be sent to prison. Michael turned the tables and told Lulu that she was upset because she was afraid that Dante would turn out like Sonny. He accused her of being jealous and told her that Sonny loved Dante and he did not see that changing, ever. Lulu was thoughtful, and then said she had to run an errand and left.

Lulu went to Sonny and told him about the plan to use Jason as bait. She shared her fears that Jason would escape and Dante would be sent to prison in his place. She begged Sonny to make sure that Jason did not run. Sonny told her that in the past, he would have complied with her request because of his long-standing friendship with her father. However, because of her resent outbursts against him, he wanted something back. Sonny told Lulu that his price was that she quit talking him down to his kids, and that included Dante. Lulu swallowed her pride and agreed.

Lulu returned to Dante's place with groceries so that she could make dinner. Michael figured out that she had been to Sonny's. Dante arrived and wanted to know why she had gone to Sonny's. Dante let Lulu know that he was not happy that she had interceded. Lulu told Dante that she had gone to Sonny because if Dante threw his life away, he threw hers away too. She was angry when she left the apartment.

Lulu ran into Olivia on the docks. They discussed the fight between Dante and Lulu. Olivia shared a childhood story that illustrated Dante's stubbornness and single-mindedness. She told Lulu that Dante was a lot like Sonny. Lulu refrained from saying anything negative about Sonny. Olivia told Lulu that she had learned to pick her battles, and Lulu should do the same. Lulu was thoughtful.

Dante and Michael talked about Lulu. Dante realized that he had overreacted about Lulu's conversation with Sonny. Michael validated Lulu's fears that Jason could run if given the opportunity. Michael told Dante that Jason did not forgive or forget. Michael said that in Jason's eyes, Dante would always be the guy who got Michael sent to Pentonville.

6/29 On the pier, Lulu worried that Dante might lose his freedom, or worse, in order to lure Franco out of hiding. Olivia reminded Lulu that Dante had a good head on his shoulders, so Lulu had a choice: she could trust Dante or fight him on his decision to go after Franco. Lulu hated that Dante had put himself in a position where he had to trust Jason. Olivia didn't think that they could fault Dante for wanting to protect Lulu from Franco. Lulu was frustrated; she wondered why it wasn't okay for her to want to protect Dante.

At the loft, Dante clarified that Jason was being released to help catch Franco, not kill him. Michael was concerned that Jason might be tempted to run, which would ultimately lead to Michael being sent back to Pentonville. Dante believed that Michael would be fine as long as Michael stuck to the conditions of his release by staying away from Sonny. Michael remained concerned; he pointed out that Jason might want Dante to have a taste of what it was like to be locked up in jail. Dante reminded Michael that Jason was eager to catch Franco, so he doubted that Jason would take off before Franco was apprehended.

Dante insisted that Michael had an opportunity for a fresh start, even if Sonny didn't appreciate that. It bothered Dante that Sonny seemed to view himself as the world's best dad. Michael admitted that, despite what Dante thought, it wasn't difficult to love Sonny. Lulu's arrival interrupted their talk. Michael quickly excused himself and then left. Lulu immediately apologized to Dante for walking out on him. According to Lulu, she had been a fool not to trust his judgment.

Dante assured Lulu that he respected her for speaking her mind. Lulu relaxed as Dante kissed her and then made love to her. As they basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking, Lulu asked Dante to be careful with Jason. Dante promised not to do anything that would mess up what they had.

6/30 Lulu went to Jason's penthouse to talk to Spinelli about Jason's release. Spinelli was in high spirits as he frantically cleaned the penthouse in preparation for Jason's arrival. Lulu reminded Spinelli that Jason's release was temporary, but Spinelli didn't seem concerned about that. Lulu grew concerned, so she asked Spinelli to promise that he wouldn't help Jason if Jason decided to run. Lulu explained that Dante would lose his badge if Jason managed to escape. Spinelli didn't think it would get to that; he was certain that the authorities would have a change of heart once Jason captured Franco. "I don't think so," Lulu warned Spinelli.

A knock on the door heralded Maxie's arrival. Maxie had taken some time off from work, so that she and Spinelli could have lunch together. Spinelli explained that he had to go to the grocery store to pick up some fresh food for Jason. Spinelli was certain that Jason would appreciate a home-cooked meal after enduring prison gruel for a month. Lulu and Maxie followed Spinelli out of the penthouse and then watched as he disappeared into the elevator to run his errand. Maxie claimed that her plan to snap Spinelli out of his funk, and make him fight for her, was working, but Lulu didn't agree. Lulu thought that Spinelli's sudden good mood was due to Jason's release from Pentonville. Maxie conceded that Jason's return home had lifted Spinelli's spirits, but she was confident that Spinelli would go head-to-head with Matt to prove his love and devotion for her.

At Pentonville, Jason was fitted with an ankle monitor and then handcuffed before Dante led him away. Jason was certain that Dante was enjoying Jason's discomfort. Dante didn't deny it. At the police station, Diane arrived as Claire prepared to hold a press conference. Diane took full advantage of the situation by making certain that she stood next to Claire while the prosecutor made a brief statement to the reporters. Claire announced that Jason had been released from Pentonville on a technicality, which she vowed to resolve. Diane insisted that her client was an innocent man who had been wrongfully accused. All heads turned when Dante and Jason entered the squad room. Reporters immediately demanded to know if Dante had made a mistake. Dante denied that he had done anything wrong. Claire supported Dante's claim and then ended the press conference.

Dante, Claire, Diane, and Jason entered a nearby interrogation room for some privacy. Claire hoped that Franco watched television because she hated to think that she had gone through the painful exercise in humiliation for nothing. Diane reminded Claire and Dante that Franco's capture depended on Jason's cooperation, so Diane expected Claire to reduce Jason's sentence as a show of appreciation. Claire balked at the suggestion, but Diane ignored her. After Diane stepped out of the room, Claire warned Jason not to kill Franco.

Claire explained that she intended to prosecute the serial killer, which she couldn't do if he was dead. Dante wondered when the police had stopped using deadly force when it was necessary. Claire insisted that those were her terms and then left. Jason wanted the handcuffs removed, so that he could defend himself against Franco; he refused to risk his life for the police. Dante ignored the request, so Jason asked to speak to Diane. As soon as Diane returned to the interrogation room, Jason asked her what would happen to Michael if Jason were to take off. Jason wanted to know if Michael would be sent back to prison.

Later, Jason and Dante entered the Harbor View Towers. A vagrant lurked outside of the high-rise building. When the doorman spotted the vagrant, he tried to shoo the man away. The homeless man refused to move along; instead, he asked some questions about Jason, but the doorman refused to reveal anything. When the vagrant looked up at Jason's penthouse, the hood of his jacket fell back to reveal Franco's face.

Jason and Dante entered the penthouse, but stopped short when they took in the scene that met their eyes. Police officers were scattered throughout the penthouse. Ronnie informed them that they were Jason's welcome committee. According to Ronnie, they were assigned to monitor Jason's every move.

Lulu admitted that Luke had stuck around town longer than she had expected. Luke chuckled, pleased that Lulu knew him so well. Ethan decided to track down a bottle of Luke's favorite scotch. After Ethan left, Lulu urged Luke to remain in town long enough to work things out with Tracy. Luke appreciated her advice, but he assured her that he knew what he was doing. Luke changed the subject to find out how things were going between Lulu and Dante.

Luke realized that Dante's family drama might eventually suck her in. Lulu agreed, but she was confident that she and Dante were strong enough to get through it together. Ethan returned with the bottle of scotch, and was followed by Lucky a few minutes later. Luke let them know that his first destination was Zurich; however, he had no idea where he was headed from there. He told his children that he was proud of them and promised to return when Tracy was ready for him to make an honest woman of her. Luke hugged his children and then asked them to occasionally check on Tracy. After Luke left, Lucky bet his siblings one hundred dollars that love wasn't the only reason that Luke had left town. As if on cue, Tracy arrived. Tracy demanded to know where Luke was; he had stolen ten million dollars from her.

7/1 The Harbor View Towers doorman threatened to call the police if Franco didn't leave. In the penthouse, Jason warned Ronnie that Franco would kill again if the police remained a presence around Jason. Ronnie refused to give Jason the opportunity to skip out of town. Jason argued that Ronnie didn't know how Franco operated. "Actually, I do," Ronnie informed Jason. Dante had a strong incentive to keep a close eye on Jason, so he suggested that Ronnie leave it to him to guard Jason.

Jason was certain that Franco would be "pissed" if the police didn't leave. Ronnie thought perhaps Franco might get sloppy if he were upset, which would make it easy to catch him. Dante was certain that Franco had been watching, so he advised Ronnie to check the building. Carly and Maxie arrived moments later. Maxie wondered why there were so many police officers in Jason's penthouse.

Dante explained that Ronnie and the other police officers were there to make certain that Jason didn't escape. Maxie glared at Ronnie as she explained that she was a nervous wreck about Franco, so she would personally whack Jason over the head if he tried to leave town before Franco were caught. Ronnie seemed satisfied, so he led the officers out of the penthouse to run surveillance. Spinelli was impressed with Maxie's performance.

Maxie turned to Dante to demand to know why he was still there. She suggested that Jason and Sam might want to have some time alone to reconnect. Dante explained that Jason had not been released to make a "booty call." Dante also pointed out that Carly, Maxie, and Spinelli were in the penthouse, so Jason and Sam wouldn't exactly be alone. Dante invited Jason and Sam to go to Jason's room if they wanted some privacy, but he refused to leave.

Carly reminded Maxie that Dante had arranged to get Jason out of jail, so perhaps they should all cut Dante some slack. Sam hugged Jason and then let him know that she had to leave for a short time because Alexis had planned an important family dinner. Sam promised to return as soon as she could. After Sam left, Dante commented that it appeared that Sonny had found a way to spend some time with Michael. Carly didn't see why it was a problem; she reminded Dante that Michael loved his father.

Dante pointed out that the judge had ordered Michael to have limited contact with Sonny. Carly was certain that the judge would consider an occasional family dinner limited. "Especially if he never has to find out," Dante muttered. Maxie decided that she had to get back to work before Kate noticed her absence.

Carly stepped out onto the terrace with Jason. Jason closed the door behind him as Carly thanked Jason for all he had done, "unlike that backstabbing, two-faced pig" she added, referring to Dante. Jason advised Carly to calm down. Jason realized that Carly blamed Dante for what had happened to Michael, but Michael was free. He suggested that she could stop her plans for revenge, but Carly refused. Jason implored her to reconsider because he needed Dante to help catch Franco. Carly disagreed; she was confident that Jason could handle it alone. However, she was curious what would happen afterwards. Carly worried that Jason would take off with Sam. Jason wondered if she wanted him to return to Pentonville. Carly insisted that she didn't, but she wanted to have access to him. Jason didn't want her to jump ahead of herself; first they had to capture Franco.

Inside, Dante saw Spinelli hovering over the laptop. Dante sensed that Spinelli was eager to hack into something. He was curious how many federal laws Spinelli broke each time he got online. "Leave him alone," Jason ordered as he returned to the living room. After Carly left, Jason explained that Spinelli could help locate Franco. Dante decided to leave Spinelli and Jason to do their work while he dashed to the loft. After Dante left, Spinelli expressed his joy over Jason's release from prison. Jason appreciated Spinelli's enthusiasm, but he needed to know what Spinelli had found. Spinelli was confident that he knew where Franco was. As Dante left the lobby, he spotted a familiar-looking vagrant. Dante drew his gun and then aimed it at the homeless person with orders to "Freeze."

7/2 Outside the Harborview Towers, Dante attempted to question a hooded man, but the man ran. Dante followed. He caught up to the stranger and removed the hood. The man was not Franco. Dante demanded to know why the man had run. The stranger, obviously shaken, begged Dante not to hurt him. Realizing he'd made a mistake, Dante let the man go. Dante reconnected with Ronnie, who cast doubt as to whether Jason was really working with them to nab Franco. Ronnie suggested letting Jason leave the country in the hopes that Franco would follow and they'd both kill each other. Dante derisively pointed out that it would remove any connection that Ronnie had had with Franco.

Dante joined Jason and Spinelli in the Penthouse and told them about the man he'd encountered. Spinelli checked the security footage from the camera at the front of the building. Jason informed Dante of the presence of Franco's mother in Woodstock. He declared that he was going to Woodstock to confront Karen Anderson, and Dante followed him. Later, Dante and Jason arrived at a house, presumably belonging to Franco's mother, and Dante knocked on the door. A kindly older woman answered and politely explained that she didn't entertain solicitors. When Dante told her that they wanted to question her about her son, she replied that she didn't have a son.

Lulu went to see Dante at Jason's, but Spinelli explained that she'd just missed him. He shared with her that Franco's mother was still alive and that Jason and Dante were on their way to Woodstock to find her. He expressed his loathing of Dante, and Lulu told him that she wished he could see the Dante she knew. He apologized for neglecting Maxie. Lulu said that she was glad he was emerging from his depression and that Maxie had appreciated the flowers he'd sent. Spinelli expressed confusion, and Lulu quickly covered, explaining that the flowers must have been from a photographer Crimson used.

7/6 In Woodstock, New York, Dante and Jason questioned Karen Anderson about Franco. Karen sweetly denied that she had any children or knew anyone named Franco. Dante wondered if she had once lived in Bensonhurst as Karen Frank with a son named Robert, but Karen reiterated that they had the wrong person. As Dante talked about Franco's art, Karen admitted that she had heard of the artist, but she insisted that he was too old to be her son. Dante wondered if they could continue their conversation inside her home. Karen invited Dante and Jason in and then offered them some tea.

Jason declined, but Dante accepted the tea. Jason explained that it was urgent that they find her son, but Karen continued to insist that she didn't have a son. Dante took over; he explained that they knew that she had cashed out her pension in Bensonhurst, changed her last name to Anderson, and then moved to Woodstock. Dante promised that they weren't interested in disrupting her life, but it was important that they find Franco. Karen stuck to her story, but added that she hoped everything was okay with Franco.

Dante revealed that Franco was in trouble and then told her a bit about Franco's state of mind. Karen suggested that perhaps Franco was misunderstood. Dante and Jason realized that they weren't going to make any headway with Karen, so they apologized for disturbing her and then left. However, they stopped on the porch because they realized that Karen was hovering near the window, eavesdropping. Jason and Dante made sure that Karen thought that they had believed her story and that they had decided to return to Port Charles.

After they left, Karen looked troubled. A short time later, Karen was placing some figurines on a mantle when Franco entered. "Hi, mom," he greeted his mother as he held out a bag that contained her favorite dessert. Karen hugged her son and then asked, "Bobby, what have you done now?"

Jason and Dante went to the penthouse upon their return to Port Charles. Spinelli couldn't believe that Karen had lied about being Franco's mother. Jason suspected that Franco was in Port Charles. Maxie confirmed Jason's suspicions when she announced that she had seen Franco. Spinelli was stunned.

7/7  In Woodstock, New York, Franco assured his mother that he hadn't done anything wrong. Karen told her son that the police had been at her house to ask questions about him, but she had denied knowing him. "Keep it that way," Franco gently advised his trusting mother. Karen confessed that she had heard terrible things about Franco, even though she had avoided watching the news and listening to gossip. "They are true, aren't they?" she asked with trepidation.

Later, Karen returned to the living room with a snack for Franco. Franco apologized for upsetting his mother. As Karen talked about the police officers who had questioned her, Franco realized that it had been Jason and Dante. Karen revealed that the men had accused him of killing people and being obsessed with death. Franco readily admitted that he was obsessed with death; it was the subject of his work. However, he added, "Art, as of now, isn't a crime in this country."

Karen wished that he would be more careful because she worried about him. Franco reminded his mother that he was in the public eye and under constant scrutiny. It was the reason that he had a film crew follow him around. "It's proof," Franco explained. Karen was relieved that the camera crew hadn't accompanied him on the visit because she hadn't had a chance to fix her hair. Franco smiled indulgently as he assured his mother that she looked fine.

Franco admitted that he didn't think that the police officers would return. Karen promised her son that she would know what to say if they did. Franco confessed that everything would be over soon. "What do you mean?" she asked with concern. Franco revealed that they were finally there, "the culmination of everything I've been working for," he clarified. "That's good, right?" Karen asked innocently. "A dream come true," Franco confirmed.

Karen regretted that she hadn't paid more attention to him when he had been a child. She admitted that she had been more consumed with pursuing her own interests rather than giving her son what he had needed. Franco smiled lovingly at his mother as he assured her that he didn't hold it against her. They started talking about the path he had taken to become a world-renowned artist. She teased Franco that he hadn't called graffiti art until he had been caught. Franco chuckled at the idea that all it took was him insisting it was art to be art. If he had known it had been that easy then he wouldn't gone through so much trouble. The comment troubled Karen, so Franco hugged his mother and then assured her that he loved her. "I love you too," she told him as she returned the affectionate embrace.

At the penthouse, Jason, Dante, and Spinelli questioned Maxie about her encounter with Franco. Spinelli wondered why she hadn't told him about it. "I came right here," Maxie explained. She revealed that Franco had sent her dozens of roses. "What do you think he wants?" she nervously asked. Jason wondered if Franco had threatened her. Maxie shook her head, but she explained that Franco had a way of making her skin crawl. She then passed along Franco's message to Jason. Spinelli was upset because he realized that Maxie could have been killed. Spinelli insisted that it would have been his fault.

Dante continued to question Maxie about Franco, including her connection to the artist. Spinelli felt as if his inadequacies had led Franco to Maxie. Jason reminded Spinelli that Maxie had just been a means to an end; Franco could have used anyone to get to Jason. Jason insisted that he was the reason that Franco was in their lives, so it was up to him to stop Franco.

Spinelli decided to check nearby florists, in the hopes of getting a lead on Franco. Jason was curious what the significance of sixty-six was, so Dante tried to review everything that Franco had said to Maxie to see if they had missed anything. Spinelli perked up when Maxie revealed that Franco had asked her about her relationship with Spinelli. Spinelli was curious why she hadn't mentioned it sooner. Maxie reminded Spinelli that she had a five- minute conversation with a serial killer, all the while wondering where her body would be found, so she had been a bit rattled.

Dante decided to take Maxie home. Maxie wanted to stay with Spinelli, but Spinelli thought that it would be best for her to leave with Dante. "If that's what you want," Maxie quietly agreed. After Maxie left, Spinelli admitted that he had hurt Maxie. "It has to stop," he decided. Jason and Spinelli resumed trying to find Franco. They were frustrated when surveillance footage near Metro Court, around the time of Franco's visit, didn't yield anything. Jason was certain that there had to be a clue somewhere because Franco always left one for Jason to find.

When Maxie and Dante arrived at her apartment, she invited him in. Lulu was surprised to see Maxie and Dante together. Maxie gave Dante an opportunity to explain what had happened, but he was reluctant to upset Lulu. Maxie quickly lost her patience, so she told Lulu about her encounter with Franco at Crimson. After Maxie went to take a bubble bath, Lulu acknowledged that Dante had been right; Jason's release had lured Franco out of hiding.

7/8 At Lulu and Maxie's apartment, Lulu waited impatiently for Maxie to get ready for work. Maxie revealed that Matt and Spinelli were on their way over, so she didn't intend to go to work. Maxie planned to have Spinelli catch her with Matt, in the hopes of making Spinelli jealous. Lulu thought it was a bad idea because Maxie might end up losing Spinelli and Matt if she continued to play games. Maxie was confident that she knew what she was doing.

Spinelli was stunned when he saw Maxie in the throes of a heated kiss with Matt. Lulu walked up in time to see Spinelli's hurt expression as he turned to leave. Maxie pulled away from Matt's kiss to deny that she had enjoyed it. Lulu argued that she could see for herself how much Maxie had liked the kiss. After Matt left, Maxie dismissed the kiss as a wasted effort since Spinelli hadn't seen it. She was shocked when Lulu revealed that Spinelli had seen the kiss. Maxie was curious how Spinelli had seemed. "What does it matter? It was a bad idea," Lulu replied. Maxie agreed; she decided that it was time for a serious reality check.

7/9 Dante and Jason returned to Jason's penthouse after surveilling Franco's mother's house. Spinelli sat mindlessly plunking away on his computer. Dante got a report from forensics on the 66 roses sent to Maxie, but there was nothing conclusive. An angry Spinelli lashed out at Dante and lamented the futility of life.

After Dante returned home, Michael explained that he was going to see his probation officer. He asked if Dante had pulled an all-nighter to work on the car bombing. Dante asked what Michael was talking about, and Michael explained that Kristina and Johnny had nearly died in a car bomb the previous night. He said the police thought it might have been the Lopez brothers who rigged Johnny's car. Dante worried that it may have actually been Sonny. Lulu entered, upset that people who loved each other did hurtful things to one another. Michael left for his appointment with his parole officer. Lulu explained to Dante what Maxie had done to Spinelli. Dante and Lulu promised that they'd never play such games.

Franco broke into the dilapidated old Laughlin Mansion and uncovered the furniture before he relaxed on a sofa. He wound up a toy bear, which clapped cymbals between it's paws. Franco watched and smiled. He then tagged the wall above the fireplace with "C077X." Franco got an expected call from someone and told the person to get there right away. Later, Wilhelm von Schlegel arrived at the mansion. Franco welcomed him, and the man acknowledged he was a big fan of Franco's work. Franco explained that he was interested in an art show that von Schlegel had curated years before for an artist named Maria Anisari, who compulsively painted portraits of her nine dead siblings, all of whom had died under mysterious circumstances. Wilhelm stated that the show had been very profitable, as was Franco's work since charges had been leveled against him. Franco explained that he was putting the finishing touches on a new exhibit and that it would be shown at the mansion. Franco referred to the toy monkey as his associate and told Mr. von Schlegel that it was art and that there would be a lot more to come.

DVD #5B  After Mr. von Schlegel left, Franco sat with his monkey, Leonardo, and pored over photos of Carly, Maxie, and Lulu, while musing "so many women, so little time."

Dante and Lulu began to make out, but both kept getting urgent texts regarding each of their jobs. They decided to ignore the pleas and take a shower together instead. Dante returned and asked for an update on Franco. Jason replied that Franco was all about riddles and games, that he dropped clues so subtle that they couldn't see them.

Lulu happened by and said hello to Jax in the park. Jax remarked on how happy she seemed, and she explained that she was in love. Lulu was surprised that Jax was supportive of her relationship with Dante, since few others were. Jax handed Lulu her goddaughter while Franco watched from a distance. Jax asked how Dante's search for Franco was going. Lulu responded that she had faith in Dante but that he was worried Franco would go after her again. She said farewell and continued on her way. As soon as Lulu was gone, Franco revealed himself to Jax.

7/12 In the park, Franco made a fuss over Josslyn. Jax asked him to leave, but Franco said that he was there to entertain Josslyn. Franco took a small brass monkey out of his pocket, wound it, and set it before Josslyn. Josslyn was delighted when the monkey began to clap. Franco did not make any overt threats, but his knowledge of the Jacks family's movements and his knowledge of their whereabouts was menacing. When Jax called the police, Franco walked away, but not before telling Josslyn that he looked forward to their next meeting.

Dante got an urgent phone call and left the apartment. Dante and Ronnie met Jax in the park and questioned him about his encounter with Franco. A shaken Jax admitted that Franco had not made any direct threats. Ronnie left to coordinate a search effort while Dante and Jax discussed their loved ones who were being targeted by Franco.

Mac, Ronnie, and Dante had a meeting about Franco at the police station. Mac was upset because Franco was still not apprehended after confronting several Port Charles residents, including Maxie. Half seriously, Mac suggested binding Jason to a lamppost and letting Franco find him. When Jax arrived, Mac and Jax went to Mac's office to file a formal complaint. Alone with Ronnie, Dante suggested that Franco's next target would be Ronnie, because of his previous history with Franco. Ronnie got huffy and suggested that Dante pay attention and not let Jason escape, then Ronnie stormed out of the interview room.

Franco went back to the mansion on Road 66. He wound a large, felt monkey, which started clapping. He then spray-painted his tagger sign, "CO77X" on the mansion's doors, walls, and windows.

Dante arrived at Jason’s and shared his information about Franco's meeting with Jax and Josslyn. Jason told Dante about Spinelli's clue. Together they left to pursue Franco.

Spinelli's plan for revenge on Dante was successful. He was excited and babbling about it when he opened the door, expecting to find Carly. Instead he faced Lulu, who wanted to know who the object of Spinelli's revenge was.

Dante and Jason arrived at Franco's. Dante was conflicted when Jason drew his gun but backed down when Jason asked if Dante was willing to confront Franco holding a pencil.

7/13 At the penthouse, Lulu wondered if everything were okay. Spinelli covertly closed his laptop as he nervously wondered why she would ask him such a question. Lulu reminded Spinelli that he had been ranting about getting even with someone when she had arrived. Spinelli covered his slip by admitting that he intended to go after Matt for kissing Maxie. Lulu relaxed as she explained that Maxie had been using Matt to make Spinelli jealous. Lulu assured Spinelli that Maxie didn't have any feelings for Matt.

Spinelli argued that Matt had taken advantage of Maxie, so he deserved everything that Spinelli planned to do. Lulu insisted that revenge would not give Spinelli any satisfaction, so she urged him to focus on more important things like catching Franco. Carly entered the penthouse in time to hear Lulu's advice. Carly was curious what they had been talking about. Spinelli quickly explained that he intended to exact revenge against Matt for kissing Maxie. Lulu assured Spinelli that Maxie loved him, so it wasn't necessary. Lulu begged Spinelli to try to work things out with Maxie instead of going after Matt. Carly agreed with Lulu. Lulu thanked Carly for her help and then left.

Once they were alone, Carly congratulated Spinelli on being quite the liar. Spinelli smiled with pride as he suggested that perhaps Carly's skill had rubbed off. Spinelli suggested that Carly was the queen of lying, which Carly took as a compliment. Carly was curious if Spinelli had made any progress with their project. Spinelli revealed that it wouldn't be long before he was able to siphon the money from the Cortez Cartel into Dante's accounts. Spinelli was confident that, once the police were tipped off, Dante would be charged with corruption and drug trafficking. Carly was pleased when Spinelli assured her that nothing would be traced back to them.

Jason kicked in the door to the mansion on Country Road 66 and then entered. Dante was right behind Jason. With guns drawn, Jason and Dante searched the mansion, but they didn't find any sign of Franco. While Dante called the police, Jason discovered a discarded flyer advertising a performance by Kalup Ishmael at Jake's. Later, as the crime scene team descended on the mansion, Jason showed Dante the flyer. Jason and Dante decided to head to Jake's to see if Franco had left behind another clue.

At Jake's, Franco ordered a glass of Absinthe. Coleman explained that the police didn't allow him to stock "The Green Fairy." However, Coleman offered to fetch Franco a bottle of fine scotch. Franco was satisfied to drink whatever the locals drank, so Coleman poured Franco some whiskey. Franco surprised Coleman by dropping a stack of money on the bar. Franco offered to pay Coleman ten thousand dollars to book a performance artist for one night. Coleman stared at the money for a minute and then responded, "Done."

Lulu approached Maxie and Spinelli’s table to let them know that they owed her because she had caught Spinelli plotting revenge for the kiss that he had witnessed between Matt and Maxie. Maxie perked up when she realized that Spinelli had been jealous. "There's a pair you don't see every day," Coleman remarked as he dropped off some drinks at Matt and Maxie's table. Lulu, Maxie, and Matt turned to see Dante and Jason standing near the bar. Lulu excused herself and then joined Dante. Moments later, Coleman introduced Kalup Ishmael.

7/14 At Jake's, Kalup Ishmael entertained the crowd with his rendition of Route 66. Jason and Dante realized that the song was a clue from Franco, but they couldn't figure out what it signified. After the song ended, Kalup gathered his things and then prepared to leave. Jason and Dante tried to question Kalup about Franco, but Kalup couldn't provide them with any useful information.

Jason and Dante questioned Coleman about how Kalup had ended up singing in the bar. Coleman confessed that a stranger had entered the bar, ordered an Absinthe, and then paid Coleman to book Kalup for a one-night performance. Coleman admitted that he had no idea that Kalup would only perform one song. Jason suspected that Kalup had been some kind of diversion, but he didn't know why.

Lulu and Dante returned to the loft a short time later. Dante worried that Jason had tracked down Franco, killed him, and then grabbed Sam to skip town. Dante was certain that he was on the fast-track to prison. Lulu advised Dante to relax instead of getting worked up over something that might not happen. Lulu was certain that everything would work out.

Franco met up with Kalup in an alley. Franco thanked Kalup for his help, but he admitted that he needed one more favor. Kalup was happy to help; however, Kalup wanted select the next song himself. Franco agreed, but he explained that it would have to be a sad and haunting song. Franco intended to raise the dead.

7/15 At the loft, Dante was wide awake while Lulu slept peacefully next to him. Dante quickly raised his gun when he heard a noise and then shouted, "Freeze!" Michael immediately spoke up to let Dante know that it was him and that he had been on his way to get a drink. Dante relaxed and then lowered the gun. Later, Michael was straightening up the sofa when Dante and Lulu entered the living room.

Michael apologized for startling Dante earlier. Dante didn't mind Michael staying there, but he wanted his brother to remember that two other people lived in the loft. Lulu felt as if she were the one who had invaded their space, but Dante assured her that she was always welcome. Michael revealed that he had plans to go sailing with Jax, Carly, and the kids, so Dante and Lulu would have some privacy for awhile.

After Michael left, Dante confessed that it had been a bit unnerving how Michael had barely reacted to having a gun pointed at him. Lulu attributed it to Michael's upbringing and then suggested that Dante might have overreacted a bit to the situation. Dante disagreed; he refused to take any chances with Lulu's safety. Lulu appreciated Dante's concern. However, she balked when Dante asked her to stay by his side until Franco was captured. Lulu refused to allow fear to guide her, so she insisted on going to work. Dante decided to go with her.

At Crimson, Maxie was swamped with work when Lulu arrived with Dante in tow. Maxie demanded to know why Dante was there. Dante explained that he wanted to keep an eye on Lulu because Franco was on the loose. Maxie argued that they were too busy to have Dante hovering over them. Maxie also confessed that seeing Lulu and Dante together was a painful reminder that she and Spinelli were over.

Lulu realized that Maxie needed someone to talk to, so she implored Dante to leave. Lulu reminded Dante that the hotel was crawling with police officers, so it would be difficult for Franco to get to her. Dante reluctantly agreed to leave. Once they were alone, Lulu questioned why Maxie had kissed Matt. Maxie reminded Lulu how Spinelli had gone into a deep depression after Jason had been sent to Pentonville. Maxie admitted that she had hoped to snap Spinelli out of his funk by making him jealous; however, Maxie had been the one to get the surprise. Lulu was less than understanding, but Maxie forged ahead. As Maxie explained how confused she had been, she mentioned that she had kissed Lucky.

Lulu warned Maxie to stay away from Lucky because he was still fragile from learning about Elizabeth and Nikolas' affair. Lulu accused Maxie of being an, "emotional bulldozer," so Lucky was a bad choice for a rebound relationship. Maxie grabbed her purse and then announced that she was headed to the hospital to talk to Robin because Robin would offer Maxie support without judging her. Lulu reminded Maxie that they had a mountain of work to do, but Maxie argued that she couldn't work with a broken heart that Lulu was determined to shove into a paper shredder. After Maxie stormed out, Lulu went back to work.

A short time later, Dante called to check on Lulu. Lulu assured Dante that she was fine. She agreed to call him when she was done with work and then ended the call. At the penthouse, Dante tucked his phone away as he explained that he had been concerned about Lulu. Dante couldn't forget that Franco had almost killed Lulu the last time that Franco had been in town. Jason reminded Dante that Maxie, not Lulu, had been Franco's intended target. Dante wasn't reassured, so he focused on trying to figure out the clues that they had gathered. Jason suspected that the crucial clue to help tie everything together wouldn't be revealed until Franco was ready.

Dante was undeterred as he continued to review what they had uncovered. Jason and Dante tried to determine how the people, who had received the crime scene pictures, were connected to the number sixty-six. Dante suggested that perhaps it wasn't important who had received the pictures, but rather where the pictures had been taken. Dante pointed out that Franco had rented a mansion on County Road 66 and that Kalup had performed the song, Route 66, which was about a man who had stopped in various towns along Route 66 during his road trip.

Lulu was working alone when Franco suddenly stepped out of the shadows and then approached her desk. Her eyes widened with terror when she saw the serial killer smiling down at her.

7/16 Dante, Jason, and Spinelli were at Jason's penthouse. They discussed the number 66 that had become a common theme with regard to Franco. Dante theorized that the clue had to do with the song "Route 66." In the song, a traveler started in Chicago and headed west. They knew from the first crime scene photo that Franco had sent that the victim had been murdered in Chicago.

Spinelli hypothesized that, since the second crime photo was of a victim in St. Louis, the next photo should be of a crime scene in Joplin, MO. But the third photo was from Flagstaff, AZ, a city mentioned after other cities in the song. Dante worried that they might be embarking on a wild goose chase, but Jason said that they had to pursue the clues Franco was leaving them.

Dante called the police in each of the cities mentioned in the song and asked them to keep him in the loop with regard to any unsolved murders. Dante worried that Franco was setting up another situation in which Jason would be forced to make a hard choice. They all agreed that Franco was leading them to Los Angeles, where the traveler in the song terminated his journey. After Dante left, Jason directed Spinelli to search for a link between Franco and L.A., but Ronnie arrived and arrested Jason because he'd served his purpose, Franco had shown his hand.

At Crimson, Franco showed himself to Lulu. He told her that he was disappointed in Dante and Jason, given that they hadn't seemed to provide much security for her. He pondered aloud, "Who do I have to kill to get some attention around here?" As he explained that he had been dropping in on all the people he'd met the last time he'd been in town, Lulu tried to send a text message. However, Franco caught on. He told her to get Dante on the phone so that he could hear her die. Lulu responded that she wanted to live. Franco promised to kill her as painlessly as possible but, if she insisted on staying alive, she needed to do him a favor. He gave her an envelope to give to Dante with the message that it was from Barstow. Franco left, and Lulu attempted to follow him.

Later, Lulu made her way to Baker Street, where she called Dante and told him to meet her right away. Soon thereafter, Dante met her there, and she told him that Franco had threatened her. Claire arrived, and Dante explained the situation to her. He shared the theory that Franco had been committing murders in all the towns mentioned in the song "Route 66." That prompted Lulu to give to Dante the envelope Franco had given her.

Dante and Lulu returned to the penthouse and looked for Jason. Spinelli angrily accused Dante of working with Ronnie to have Jason taken back to Pentonville. Franco made arrangements on the phone to have a glass case transported somewhere. He told the party on the other end of the call that he thought Jason, in particular, would "get a kick out of it."

7/19 At the penthouse, Spinelli did not believe Dante and Lulu when they told him that Dante was not responsible for having Jason sent back to Pentonville. When Claire arrived, Dante told her what had happened and was adamant that he still needed Jason's help to catch Franco. Claire was not very sympathetic on hearing that Jason had been carrying a gun when Ronnie searched him. Dante defended Jason and said that they could not go up against Franco unarmed. Claire was not optimistic about her chances of getting Jason released again.

Franco watched a video that he had made of himself and Jason after Franco had kidnapped Lulu and Sam. Franco laughed as he watched a frustrated Jason manhandle him and demand Sam and Lulu's location.

Claire went to see Jason in prison. He showed her Franco's latest picture and told her that he thought Franco was heading for L.A. Claire thanked Jason and said that she did not need him anymore, since he had told all he knew. When Jason protested that Franco would not show himself if Jason did not appear, Claire asked why Jason had not overpowered Ronnie and escaped when he had the chance. Jason told Claire that he had not run because Franco was still out there killing people and that he would not do anything that would jeopardize capturing Franco. Claire liked his answer and called for the guard to release Jason.

Back at the loft, Dante started packing for a trip to Los Angeles to look for Franco. Lulu did not want him to go without Jason, but Dante doubted that Claire would get Jason out of prison. He told Lulu that catching Franco was his job and he had to go after him, even if Jason was not at his side. Dante held Lulu and told her how much he loved her. They shared a slow tender kiss.

Claire and Jason walked into the penthouse, followed shortly by Lulu and Dante. When Jason told Spinelli to locate the place where Franco's photo had been taken. Claire encouraged him. She said the sooner he did, the sooner Franco would be caught and Jason could be returned to Pentonville for good. Dante declared it a "win-win" situation.

With his cameraman looking on, Franco viewed scenes of Jason that had been shot in Franco's Port Charles loft. The cameraman said the footage they were watching was all he had been able to record before Jason knocked the camera away. Franco said it would be fine for his purposes and would get his point across.

Jason and Dante got on a plane to L.A. Dante accused Jason of milking the situation to stay out of Pentonville. Jason said that going to prison had been worth it to keep Michael safe. Dante said that he wanted to apprehend Franco as soon as they got to L.A. Jason told Dante that Franco would not like it if Dante interfered in the game that Franco had planned for Jason. Dante said he was clear on the subject and understood that neither Franco nor Jason would think twice about killing him.

7/20 At the loft, Michael was in the grips of a nightmare about Carter cornering him in the jail cell. Lulu noticed that Michael was twitching and sweating as she entered the living room, so she gently shook him. Michael jolted awake and then wrapped his hands around Lulu's throat. Lulu struggled to breathe as Michael's hands remained clamped tightly around her throat. Michael was startled when he snapped out of his nightmare and then realized what he was doing. He immediately released Lulu and then apologized profusely.

Lulu slowly recovered from the near strangulation. She assured Michael that she understood that Michael had not intended to hurt her. However, she was curious what Michael had been dreaming about. Michael was vague as he answered, "prison stuff." Lulu didn't have an opportunity to probe further because Carly suddenly entered the loft. Carly explained that Jason had called her to let her know that he was headed to Los Angeles. Carly thought that Michael might want to spend the night at her home while Dante was out of town.

Lulu quickly objected; she explained that Dante wanted Michael to stay at the loft. Carly tried to reason with Lulu, to no avail. Michael sided with Lulu because he didn't want to risk upsetting the judge. Carly respected her son's decision and then left. A short time later, Carly entered the lobby of Metro Court to find Brook waiting for her. Carly was furious because Lulu had denied Michael the opportunity to spend the night at Carly's while Dante was out of town. Carly wanted to know how fast Brook could get Dante into bed.

Carly insisted that Brook speed up the seduction, but Brook pointed out that she couldn't do anything while Dante was away.

Lulu stopped to see Sonny. Sonny explained that he had called her because he was curious how Michael was doing. Lulu revealed that Michael had started his first day of community service. Sonny pointed out that there were criminals on the work crew, so he wanted Lulu to let him know if anyone gave Michael any trouble. Lulu informed Sonny that Michael could deal with any problems on his own or he could talk to Dante, so he didn't need Sonny.

Lulu reminded Sonny that the judge didn't want him to have any contact with Michael. Sonny argued that the judge couldn't stop Sonny from trying to protect Michael. Lulu warned Sonny that his continued interference would only make things more difficult for Michael and Dante. Sonny explained that it was hard for a parent to accept that their child didn't want anything to do with them, so he wasn't going to stop trying.

7/21 At the Museum Of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, Jason and Dante recognized some of Franco's exhibits. Wilhelm Von Schlegal introduced himself and then questioned why Jason and Dante were there. Dante wondered if Wilhelm realized that Franco was a serial killer. Wilhelm smiled as he explained that the speculation about Franco was an integral part of Franco's work. Wilhelm insisted that it wouldn't be inappropriate for him to comment on whether or not the rumors about Franco were true. Dante realized that Wilhelm subscribed to the philosophy that the bigger the mystery, the larger the paycheck.

Wilhelm tried to deny it, but Jason and Dante didn't believe him. Jason decided to cut to the chase by introducing himself to Wilhelm and then asking if Franco had left a message for him. Wilhelm was delighted to meet Jason. According to Wilhelm, Franco considered Jason to be a true artist. Wilhelm offered to represent Jason, but Dante didn't think that it would be a good idea. Dante cryptically explained that things could get messy if Jason and Franco were to try to outdo each other. Jason ignored Dante's comments to explain that he needed to know where the rest of Franco's exhibits had been stored.

Wilhelm readily cooperated. A short time later, Jason and Dante entered a warehouse with their guns drawn. They lowered their guns when they spotted a replica of Josslyn's crib with "CO77X" spray-painted on it. "First Franco thinks you are an artist and now he thinks you are the art," Dante remarked as they looked at the various pieces of familiar furniture scattered around the warehouse. "Franco has put my whole life on display," Jason replied as he took everything in.

7/22 In Los Angeles, Jason and Dante made their way around the warehouse where Franco had stored various replicas of objects from his time in Port Charles. Jason recognized the dumpster, Josslyn's crib, and other items from settings of his encounters with Franco. Dante confessed that one almost had to respect a mind that was as twisted as Franco's. He wished Jason luck getting into Franco's head. "Franco thinks I'm already there," Jason revealed and then added, "Maybe he's right."

Dante concluded that perhaps it took a psycho to catch a psycho. "Should be a fun trip," Dante mumbled under his breath. As they looked around the warehouse Jason approached a tarp that had been draped over some scaffolding. Jason was unaware that Franco lurked on the other side of the tarp. Jason moved away from where Franco was hiding when Dante called out to Jason. Dante had found a desk from Franco's studio. A DVD player had been hooked up to a television, so Dante hit play.

Dante and Jason watched as an image of Carter, in the visitors' room at Pentonville, appeared on the screen. Carter and Franco were discussing what Franco wanted Carter to do to Michael. Carter admitted that Michael seemed like a nice kid, so he was curious what Michael had done to Franco. Franco explained that Michael was merely a means to an end, just like Carter. Carter shrugged and then asked if Franco had any preferences on how Michael should be dealt with. Franco chuckled as he suggested that Carter be creative.

Franco only had one stipulation: he wanted Carter to make certain to tell Jason that Franco said "Hi" when Jason confronted Carter. Jason had heard enough; he picked up the television and then threw it across the room. Afterwards, he pulled out the DVD and then snapped it in half. "You done? What the hell was that?" Dante demanded. Dante was impressed that Franco had been able to mess with Jason's head; however, he was furious that Jason had destroyed valuable evidence that could have connected Franco to Carter and opened Franco up to conspiracy charges.

Jason made it clear that no one would ever know that Franco had sicced Carter on Michael. Dante argued that Jason was only protecting Franco, not Michael. Jason grabbed Dante by his shirtfront and then shoved Dante back. Jason accused Dante of handing Franco the means to make Michael suffer. Jason wanted to kill Dante, but he didn't; he released him instead. Dante suggested that Franco wanted Jason to lose control. Jason confessed that it was exactly what had happened the last time he had faced Franco. Dante pointed out that Franco knew that Michael was Jason's weakness. Dante was certain that Franco was eager for Jason to make a fatal error. "Are you done?" Jason demanded; he complained that they were wasting time and then walked out.

At the hotel, Dante handed a gun to Jason. As Dante slipped a gun into his waistband, he explained that the weapons had been loaned to him by the Los Angeles Police Department. Jason reminded Dante that he was a flight risk, but he accepted the gun. Dante acknowledged that he and Jason hated each other; however, they had to do whatever was necessary to take down Franco.

At the Museum of Contemporary Art, Wilhelm was relieved when he found Franco inspecting one of the pieces of art. Franco was dressed in a tuxedo and ready for the opening. Wilhelm had some questions about the outdoor exhibit, including how many players there would be. Franco answered, "Two," but he wasn't forthcoming with additional details. Franco explained that he didn't want to ruin the spontaneity of the exhibit. Franco wondered if Wilhelm trusted him. Wilhelm readily assured Franco that he did, which made Franco laugh. Franco advised Wilhelm not to because "I'm a whack job." However, Franco promised that Wilhelm would be the toast of the art world after that evening's performance. Wilhelm was delighted.

At GH, Lucky and Nikolas find Aidens empty crib. They were surprised when Franco's image suddenly appeared on all of the monitors. Franco welcomed everyone to "Franco's Funhouse."

In Los Angeles, outside of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Jason and Dante arrived at Franco's exhibit. The security guards recognized Jason, so they let Jason and Dante pass without searching them. Inside the exhibit, Jason realized that all of the scenes were recreations of his encounters with Franco. Franco's image suddenly appeared on a one of the brick walls. In a taped message, Franco said, "Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, saints and sinners, and especially you, Mr. Morgan, welcome to Francophrenia -- the blurring of lines between illusion and reality. I will be your guide to the funhouse. But remember to keep your seatbelts fastened, your hands outside of the car, and definitely talk to strangers. And what you see is most definitely not what you get. And one among us will not survive. Enjoy."

Footage of Jason's final encounter with Franco in Franco's studio began to play. Franco stood on some scaffolding, looking down at the scene. He laughed as Jason and Dante desperately searched for him.

7/23 Careful preparations were made for Franco's art opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Jason and Dante arrived at the reception's security checkpoint. They assumed that they'd have to use Dante's authority as a cop to get in but were told that they had been expected. On a giant video screen, Franco's face appeared as he announced to the crowd that, "one among us will not survive." Footage of Dante and Jason's previous interactions with Franco flashed on the screen. Franco watched from above as he chuckled to himself.

Dante left with the man who organized the event to view security footage. Franco revealed himself by grabbing a woman and holding a gun to her head. Jason confronted Franco, who asked Jason if he wanted to watch Franco take a life or help save one. The woman he held was thrilled to be part of the game. Thinking is was performance art, she and others urged Franco to shoot her. Franco egged Jason on by encouraging Jason to shoot him in the head.

Franco's hostage began to worry that it wasn't a game, after all, and told him to let her go, but he held on tighter and told her she wouldn't make it through the night. Franco taunted Jason by telling him that Carter, the man Jason killed because he'd raped Michael in prison, would live on through Franco's work. He pointed to the video monitor, which showed Carter holding up a photo of Michael.

When Jason turned to view the video, Franco pushed the woman into him and ran away. Jason gave chase but couldn't make it through the crowd in time to apprehend him. Franco met up with a videographer and spoke into the camera as a patron congratulated him on the performance. He told her to direct Jason, should she run into him. The videographer followed Franco into a stairwell where Franco strangled him to death.

Dante called Lucky, who updated him on the search for Aiden. Lucky told Dante that Jason shouldn't kill Franco because he might be the only one who knew where the baby was. Dante happened upon Lulu and demanded to know why she was there. She replied that she was there to protect him from Jason, who had it in for him. She explained that Jason wouldn't do anything to Dante if she were there because Jason wouldn't betray Carly.

Jason found his way to the stairwell, where he discovered Franco's latest victim's body. Franco called out from a flight above and apologized for not having had time to pose the body the way he'd wanted to. Jason shot at Franco, who ran up another flight. The two engaged in a shootout in between discussing Franco's obsession with Jason. Franco admitted that he'd begun to understand why Jason cared so much for Michael when he'd met Carly's daughter, Josslyn. Jason replied that Franco would never feel a connection like that.

During a performance on the main stage at the reception, Franco emerged from the stairwell onto a catwalk. He yelled at someone not to kill him and that he knew where the baby was, then he fell over the railing and onto a "Route 66" road sign painted on the stage. Jason got to the catwalk and saw Franco's body below.

Lucky and Nikolas watched Franco's transmission on a monitor in a hospital room. On the screen, Franco announced that everyone would have to play his game if they wanted to find the baby.

7/26 While the music played at Franco's Los Angeles art exhibition, he led Jason on a chase through the museum. It culminated when a body, apparently that of Franco, fell from the rafters. Lulu and Dante were part of the crowd that looked up to see Jason peering over the railing at the fallen body.

Outside the museum, Los Angeles police had Jason handcuffed and under arrest. Dante argued that Jason belonged in his custody. He told the cops that Jason was in federal custody and there would be a lot of paperwork for all of them if they did not release Jason to Dante. The cops saw his point and released Jason. As soon as the police were gone, Jason pulled a gun on Dante. He spewed all his anger and hostility as he blamed Dante for Michael's predicament. Jason asked for a reason not to kill Dante.

Dante said that if Jason killed a cop, he would have to be on the run for the rest of his life and would never be able to go back to Port Charles again. Jason said it would be worth it to have his revenge. Dante said that if Jason killed him, Michael would blame himself, not only for Dante's death, but Claudia's also. Dante said that he understood Jason's hatred for him. Dante said he hated himself for what happened to Michael, "But," he said, "It's not about you and me; it's about Michael."

Dante made a compelling argument when he asked Jason what would happen to Michael if Jason killed Dante and escaped. Dante asked if Jason's own satisfaction and need for revenge was more important that Michael's well-being. When Jason hesitated, Dante said, "If it isn't, then shoot me right now."

7/28 Dante and Jason arrived at the penthouse to find Sam waiting. Sam was excited to see that Jason was safe. Dante revealed that Franco had been killed. Sam's happiness evaporated when she realized that Franco's death meant that Jason had to return to Pentonville. Dante explained that he needed to shower and then get some paperwork done, so he would return at 5:00pm. Sam thanked Dante.

Dante entered the loft to find Lulu sleeping in his bed. He woke her up with kisses and promises that there wasn't anything he wouldn't do with her. Lulu requested that he prove it to her by not having so many close calls. Dante chuckled as he confessed that he didn't want her to take him for granted. Lulu smiled and then kissed Dante.

After they made love, Dante held Lulu in his arms. Lulu was curious what would happen next. She wondered if he intended to go after Sonny. Before Dante could answer, the elevator door opened, and Ronnie entered the loft. Dante was annoyed as he pointed out that he was busy; he suggested that Ronnie call him before stopping by unannounced.

Ronnie was unapologetic as he demanded to know why Jason wasn't in jail. Dante pulled on a pair of jeans and then shrugged into a shirt, while Lulu remained tucked in bed. Dante entered the living room to explain that Jason would be returned to jail at 5:00 p.m. Ronnie suspected that Dante secretly hoped that Jason took the opportunity to go on the run. Dante reminded Ronnie that his badge was on the line, so it wasn't in Dante's best interest for Jason to escape. Ronnie argued that it would benefit Sonny if Jason weren't incarcerated.

Ronnie also believed that Sonny would be grateful to Dante for giving Jason the opportunity to flee. Dante was tired of Ronnie's constant digs at his honor, but Ronnie believed that he was justified to doubt Dante after Dante had failed to press charges against Sonny for the shooting. Dante ordered Ronnie to leave. Ronnie suggested that the lines were beginning to blur for Dante; he urged Dante to remember that the next time someone's son died. After Ronnie left, Dante offered to make breakfast for Lulu. Lulu was curious what would happen if Jason escaped, but Dante ignored the question as he headed to the kitchen.

7/29 At Kelly's, Dante didn't think that Brook realized what a slow-motion train wreck Johnny was. Brook warned Dante to back off, but Dante seized the opportunity to fill Brook in on Johnny's recent attempt to use Kristina to get to Sonny. Brook made it clear that she didn't have a problem with Johnny, but she promised to talk to Dante if that changed. Dante wasn't satisfied; he accused Johnny of being a player. Johnny suggested that Dante was just like Sonny.

According to Johnny, Dante was staking a claim on Brook. Like Sonny, Dante wanted to have one woman in love with him while another woman waited in the wings. Brook appreciated Dante's concern, but she asked him to stop making a scene. However, Dante and Johnny continued to argue. Johnny accused Dante of trying to protect Sonny. Dante fired back that Johnny didn't want justice for Claudia because Sonny hadn't killed Claudia. Johnny argued that Sonny had set the events into motion that had led to Claudia's death. Dante warned Brook that Johnny was just using her. Dante wanted Brook to leave with him.

Brook hesitated a moment, but then stood up and walked away with Dante. Dante was lecturing Brook when they arrived at the loft. He ordered her not to get involved with Johnny. Brook warned Dante that he had overstepped his bounds, but Dante explained that Johnny intended to use Brook to get to Sonny. Brook argued that it didn't make sense, since she was not particularly close to Sonny. Dante reminded her that she was close to Dante, so that could be used to Johnny's advantage. Brook wondered if Dante wanted her for himself. Dante didn't have a chance to respond because Lulu entered the living room.

Lulu had overheard the heated exchange. Dante explained that Johnny had been hitting on Brook. Brook begged Lulu to reason with Dante, but Lulu assured Brook that Dante was just concerned. Frustrated, Brook made it clear that she was old enough to make her own decisions. After Brook stormed out of the loft, Lulu admitted that she was curious why Dante was worried about Brook. Lulu agreed that Brook was not close to Sonny.

Lulu was taken aback when Dante admitted that he cared about Brook. She suggested that perhaps Brook had been correct when she had accused Dante of being jealous. Dante was hurt that Lulu would doubt his love for her. Lulu softened as she admitted that he had shown her what real love was about. She promised him that there wasn't any room in her heart for anyone else, but him.

"Great answer," Dante smiled with approval. After a brief kiss, Dante announced that he had to get to the police station to file some paperwork before Jason was transferred back to Pentonville. When Dante arrived at the police station, he learned that the Los Angeles Police Department had sent a file on Franco, but Ronnie had taken it. Dante quickly tracked down Ronnie to get the file; however, Ronnie was reluctant to hand it over to Dante. Dante accused Ronnie of undermining the investigation, so Ronnie handed it to Dante and then stormed off. Dante opened the file; he was stunned by what he read.

Dante arrived and explained to Jason and Sam that he had received a report from the LAPD. According to DNA tests, the man who had fallen to his death at the Museum of Contemporary Art had not been Franco. In Woodstock, New York, Karen Anderson packed up her belongings. A knock at the door interrupted her work. Karen was surprised to see her son, Franco, standing in the doorway holding an infant.

7/30 In the penthouse living room, Dante, Jason, and Sam discussed Franco's apparent death. The file Dante had proved Franco was not the man to have fallen off the roof at the art reception in Los Angeles. Jason explained that he had chased Franco up to the roof and that the man he'd thought was Franco had yelled that he knew where Aiden was. Sam got a call from Kristina who asked her to meet at Kelly's. Jason told Sam to go to her sister, and Dante said that Jason wouldn't go back to prison, as long as Franco was still alive.

Franco arrived at his mother's new house and presented his mother with Aiden. She asked "Bobby" where he'd gotten the baby, but Franco wouldn't answer. Franco's mom worried that the infant hadn't been eating enough. Franco left to shop for the baby. He returned with armfuls of baby items. Franco's mother told him that Aiden had eaten all of the formula Franco had brought with them, but Franco replied that he'd bought enough to last quite awhile.

Franco' mom was concerned and felt that it wasn't right for her to keep the baby. Franco explained that he was giving her the opportunity to start anew with a child that would not prove as difficult to raise as he had been. He told her that he might not be around for awhile. Franco's mother demanded details on the baby, and Franco lied that he'd gotten the boy through a private adoption. He told her that, since she was living in a new house in a new town and had a brand new life, she could give the baby everything she wasn't able to give him.

Dante went to see Lucky at the police station to tell him that Franco was not dead. Dante explained that the man who had impersonated Franco and jumped to his death was a Stage 4 cancer patient. Lucky informed Dante that the nurse who'd likely been the last to see Aiden had been found dead. Dante hypothesized that luring him and Jason to L.A. had been a diversion and that Franco had wanted to kidnap the baby all along.

Dante returned to Jason's penthouse with Lucky. The three of them went over everything that had happened since Aiden had been kidnapped, and Dante suggested they go to the one person connected to Franco: Franco's mother. He called the Woodstock Police Department and asked them to send a unit to Karen Anderson's house. They reported that the house had been abandoned. Jason feared that there would be no more clues because he believed that Franco wanted to keep Aiden for himself.

8/2 Jason, Dante, and Lucky discussed Franco at Jason's penthouse. Jason was convinced that Franco had abducted Aiden because he thought that having a baby to bond with from birth would make him like Jason. Jason told Lucky and Dante that he had figured that out after replaying the conversation he had with Franco in the stairwell when he talked with Franco at the Los Angeles art exhibition. Jason said that taking the baby had been Franco's real goal and that everything else had been misdirection and a diversion.

Jason thought that taking the baby was Franco's attempt to form a relationship with another human like the one that Jason had with Michael. Lucky suggested that they try to find Franco's mother, but Jason thought it was a waste of time. Lucky said that Franco's mother was the only lead they had, and he did not want to be the one who had to tell Elizabeth that her baby was not returning.

Even though he thought it might be a waste of time, Lucky left to check for clues in the home and town where Franco's mother had been living. Spinelli appeared and started searching the Internet for Franco's videos. He was able to locate the raw footage that had been taken at Franco's L.A. exhibition. Jason noted that Franco had killed the cameraman, but told Spinelli to go frame by frame on what they had, to see if anything had been overlooked the first time they watched it.

As the threesome reviewed the footage, they reached a section where Franco angrily put his hand over the camera and told the crew to stop filming. Jason noticed that Franco was working on some papers. Jason said that those papers were probably what Franco was trying to hide and told Spinelli to try to get a closer look.

Franco took baby Aiden to his mom. He told her he wanted her to have a child who would not disappoint her. Franco's mom was charmed and said she would keep the baby. She said that she was thinking of naming the baby Pablo. Franco wanted to know if it was in honor of Picasso. His mom said that they could not have too many artists in the family. When Franco told his mom that he had to leave, she wanted to know if he was in trouble. Franco denied any problems and said that he had to take care of some business. After he left, she told baby Aiden that they would be very happy in their new home on the Oregon coast.

Franco went to a private jet. As the plane prepared for takeoff, he made a phone call. He told the person on the other end that he wanted to book a very special model. In his lap was a magazine that was opened to a full-page picture of Brenda.

8/3 At the penthouse, Jason, Dante, and Spinelli watched video footage of Franco looking over some documents. In the video, Franco became angry when he noticed that the cameraman was filming him. Jason and Dante realized that Franco was trying to hide something. Dante wanted Spinelli to find out what the paperwork had been about, but Spinelli insisted that he couldn't work with Dante breathing down his neck. Dante warned Spinelli that Jason would have to go back to Pentonville if they didn't get a lead by 5:00 p.m. on the following day.

Spinelli renewed his efforts. A short time later, Jason, Dante, and Spinelli were able to ascertain that the paperwork had been legal documents. Spinelli tried to find out why Franco had needed an attorney, but Dante's impatience proved to be too distracting. Dante decided to give Spinelli some space.

Lulu paid Ethan a visit in the hospital. Ethan's eyes lit up when he spotted the bag in her hand. He complained about the soft diet that he had been forced to eat, so he hoped that she had a cheeseburger in the bag. Lulu apologized as she handed him the bag. Ethan's disappointment was short-lived when he discovered that she had a CD by one of his favorite bands. He was impressed that she had been able to get her hands on it, since it hadn't been released in the United States. Lulu chuckled as she admitted that it was one of the perks of working in the fashion industry.

Lulu grew serious as she apologized that no one else from the family had stopped by to visit Ethan. Ethan brushed her concerns aside; he assured her that he didn't hold it against anyone. Lulu wondered if there was anything that she could do for him. Ethan smiled as he suggested shorter hemlines, whiskey, and professional escorts. He then asked her to enjoy life and to have a drink on him.

Lulu went to Jake's to have a drink. As Coleman handed her a beer, she told him about her visit with Ethan. Coleman was curious where Dante was. Lulu explained that Dante and Jason were working together to find Franco. Lulu confessed that she was concerned because she didn't think that Jason would return to Pentonville after Franco was found. She didn't understand why Dante didn't just cut his losses and send Jason back to jail.

Lulu was unaware that Sam had entered the bar in time to overhear Lulu's complaint. Sam reminded Lulu that Jason had once saved Lulu's life. Lulu quickly apologized and then explained that she didn't want to seem insensitive, but she was worried about Dante. Sam realized that Lulu was scared, but she pointed out that Lulu had made some questionable choices in the name of love. Sam suggested that loving Dante didn't mean that Lulu should lose sight of who she was. A short time later, Lulu went to the loft to wait for Dante.

When Dante arrived home, Lulu told him about her talk with Sam. She admitted that she was trying to find a balance between loving Dante and keeping her own identity. Dante assured Lulu that he loved her, but he didn't want her to put any distance in their relationship. Lulu assured him that she didn't want that either. Dante relaxed and then kissed her. They pulled apart when Michael walked in. Michael quickly offered to leave, but Lulu insisted that Michael stay. Dante hid his frustration behind a tight smile while Lulu and Michael began to play a video game.

8/4 At Dante's apartment, Lulu comforted Dante, who was frustrated by his inability to find Aiden. Lulu expressed that she felt guilty for not having paid more attention to Elizabeth during the pregnancy. Dante consoled her as Claire barged into the room. She announced that she was being pressured to send Jason back to Pentonville and explained that, unless something tangible that pinpointed Franco was made available within an hour, Jason would be led back to prison. Dante implored Claire to delay the arrest. She said she'd do what she could and left.

Dante showed up at Jason’s, prompting Diane to leave. Dante delivered the news that Jason's return to prison might be imminent just as Spinelli discovered Franco's location: Astoria, Oregon. As Jason and Dante headed out the door to go to the airport, Ronnie arrived and arrested Jason.

Lulu arrived at the nurses' station as Nikolas wrapped up a phone conversation. She checked in with him and asked how things were going. Nikolas explained that Helena had verbally attacked Elizabeth, who was so vulnerable that she believed that Aiden's kidnapping was her fault. Lulu apologized for having been judgmental when she should have been supportive during the pregnancy.

8/5 At Jason's penthouse, Ronnie insisted on taking Jason back to Pentonville. Spinelli strongly objected while Dante explained that they had a promising lead on Franco. Ronnie argued that the longer Jason remained out of jail, the more opportunity Jason had to escape. Jason clarified that he didn't have any intention of going on the run, but Ronnie didn't believe him. Dante reminded Ronnie that a baby's life was on the line.

Ronnie was adamant that Sonny's enforcer had to be returned to prison. Dante was exasperated; he insisted that it wasn't about Sonny. Ronnie argued that it was always about Sonny, so it worried Ronnie that Dante didn't see that. Dante couldn't believe that Ronnie would let an innocent baby die just to thwart Sonny. Ronnie suggested that Dante turn over all of the evidence to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, so that they could track down the missing infant. Sam walked in while Ronnie handcuffed Jason. She demanded to know what was going on as Ronnie carted Jason away. Sam was stunned when Dante and Spinelli explained that Ronnie was returning Jason to Pentonville.

At the police station, Dante lifted Jason’s transfer paperwork from Ronnie’s desk. When Ronnie strolled over to his desk to fetch the transfer papers, but didn't find them. Ronnie asked another police officer where the paperwork was. Dietrich assured Ronnie that he had left it on Ronnie's desk. Dante approached Ronnie to ask if he could help. Ronnie realized that Dante had hidden the transfer papers.

As Dante walked away, Ronnie followed him, demanding to know what Dante had done with the paperwork. Dante pretended that he had no idea what Ronnie was talking about. Ronnie was furious as he ordered Dietrich to get Jason ready for the transfer. Meanwhile, Dante received a call instructing him to take care of another police matter. Dante passed Sam as he headed to the door. Dante explained that he had to leave, so Sam assured Dante that they were working on getting Jason released.

In Astoria, Dante called Lucky to let him know that Jason was on his way back to Pentonville because Ronnie had decided it was more important to take a hard line against Sonny than to save a baby. Dante advised Lucky to call Spinelli for help. Lucky didn't think that Spinelli would cooperate with Jason in jail. Dante suggested that Lucky remind Spinelli that a baby's life was at stake.

8/6 While Sonny and Claire looked on from their table at the Metro Court Restaurant, Dante arrested Johnny as a suspect in the murder of Tomas Lopez. Carly defended Johnny, who claimed that it was Sonny who'd killed the man. Johnny explained that it had been Sonny who was responsible for the car bomb that almost killed Johnny and Kristina and that Sonny had made it appear to be the work of Lopez. Sonny then, according to Johnny, had Lopez killed to frame Johnny.

Johnny and Sonny both knew that Tomas' brother Santos would avenge the death, so Johnny would cease to be a problem for Sonny, whether or not Johnny went to prison. Dante told Johnny that it wasn't his job to sort out the details; he was just there to arrest Johnny. Dante cuffed Johnny and led him away, as Johnny and Carly made plans to meet again soon.

Spinelli answered the door at Jason's apartment and was less than pleased to find Lulu. She arrived bearing gifts: barbecue chips and orange soda. She also delivered an envelope from Maxie. In it were the plans to redecorate the "regrettably pink room." Spinelli pointed out that Jason hadn't wanted the room changed, as it was a silent homage to Brenda. He tossed the envelope into the trash.

Lulu expressed her hope that Spinelli and Maxie would reconcile. Spinelli replied that he had more important things to do, chiefly to find Lulu's kidnapped nephew. Spinelli conveyed his anger at Dante and his frustration with Lulu for supporting the "duplicitous detective." Lulu told Spinelli that she'd been wrong about Jason. She went on to say that she was working on becoming less intolerant and pointed to her and Spinelli's long friendship and the adventures they'd shared along the way. Spinelli remained resolute in his decision not to forgive Lulu.

Lulu left the room to get ice for the soda as Carly arrived, blurting out a question to Spinelli about bringing "that son of a bitch" down. Lulu returned to the living room and asked Carly to whom she'd referred. Carly covered seamlessly by saying that she was talking about to Franco, who had an obsession with Josslyn. Lulu agreed and apologized to Carly for Dante's inability to Keep Jason out of prison. Carly cringed as she told Lulu that everything was all right. Lulu left.

Spinelli was impressed with Carly's ability to so convincingly lie on the spot. Carly seethed at her recollection of Dante arresting Johnny. She shared with Spinelli that she was sure Sonny had set Johnny up. She exclaimed that Dante refused to see the truth because, if he did, he'd have to oppose his father. Carly renewed her vow to make Dante pay for his role in Michael and Jason being sent to prison. She told Spinelli that, because it was going to take months for their scheme to land Dante in prison, she planned to step up her attempts to destroy Dante and Lulu's relationship, beginning that night.

Dante arrived at the police station with Johnny and, due to space limitations, had to place him into the same interrogation room as Jason. Dante and Ronnie argued about whether Jason should help find missing Aiden or be sent back to prison. Dante asked Diane to see if there were grounds to release Jason into Dante's custody, and she replied that she'd have to search through the records once again, thereby delaying the process further.

8/9 At the Metro Court, Carly demanded that Brook get Dante into bed. Brook said that she had tried, but that when Dante was not working, he was with Lulu. Carly said that she would get Lulu out of the picture but expected Brook to get Dante in bed and take lots of pictures.

Dante questioned Johnny at the Port Charles Police Station. Johnny claimed that Sonny had framed him. When Dante asked for proof, Johnny refused to give it and said that Dante had been sucked so far up the "Sonny vortex" that no amount of proof would be enough to convince him. Dante told Johnny to call when he was willing to supply proof of his innocence. Dante was thoughtful as he closed the door on the interrogation room.

Dante went home to Lulu. She was on her way out to have dinner with Carly and Michael. She told Dante that Carly had been insistent on a family dinner. Lulu noticed that Dante had something on his mind. When she persisted, he told her what Johnny had said about being framed and about Dante's blind spot with Sonny. Lulu said that she believed that Sonny was capable of framing Johnny. She said she also agreed with Johnny that Dante was conflicted about Sonny. She said that where she differed from Johnny was that she believed that once Dante had taken everything into account, he would always land on the right side of the line. Dante and Lulu shared several kisses before she left on the elevator.

At the Metro Court, Carly pretended to have a good time with Lulu and Michael. After inviting Lulu to a family picnic on the weekend and agreeing that Dante could attend with her, Carly left to check on Josslyn. Michael also excused himself to make a quick trip to Dante's, which left a puzzled Lulu alone.

Holding her robe, Brook knocked on Dante's door and asked to take a shower. She said that her hot water was out. After the shower, Brook, in a short robe, asked for a glass of wine. Dante told her to help herself.

8/11 Carly returned to the table to discover that Michael had left. Carly immediately called Michael on the phone, but the call went to his voicemail. Lulu explained that Michael didn't want Carly to worry. Carly acknowledged that she should be grateful that Michael was free to walk around, unlike Jason who was back in Pentonville. Lulu was sorry about how things had worked out.

Carly was concerned about how Michael was dealing with Jason's incarceration because Jason had always been there for Michael. Carly wondered if Michael had said anything about it. Lulu insisted that Michael had been doing very well living at Dante's, so she was confident that Michael was getting back to normal. Carly bit her tongue as Lulu proceeded to sing Dante's praises. Carly imagined that it couldn't be easy for Michael to sleep on a couch and not have his own room, but Lulu promised Carly that Michael didn't mind.

Lulu insisted that the important thing was that Michael had a positive role model like Dante. She suggested that Carly should be grateful for that. Carly's mind wandered as she imagined reaching across the table to grab Lulu's hair in a fierce grip. In the fantasy, Carly blasted Lulu for failing to see that Michael was far from fine; Carly was certain that something inside Michael was broken because of the time that he had spent in Pentonville. Carly vowed to make Lulu and Dante pay for sending Michael to jail.

As the daydream faded, Carly apologized for not being more grateful; she explained that she was just concerned about her son. Unaware of Carly's true thoughts, Lulu assured Carly that Michael was fine. Carly explained that she wanted to call Sonny to see if Michael had gone to see his father. In reality Carly took the opportunity to text message Brook to tell Brook to stop the seduction. Brook replied, "Too late." Carly hid her annoyance and then looked up to explain that Sonny hadn't answered. Lulu didn't think that Michael would risk incurring the judge's wrath by going to see Sonny.

Carly changed the subject as she suggested that it must be hard for Lulu and Dante to have Michael underfoot. Lulu insisted that it wasn't a problem, but Carly sensed that Lulu was hiding something. Lulu admitted that she was trying to find a balance between keeping her own identity and loving Dante. Carly understood Lulu's concerns because Carly had lost herself in her relationship with Sonny. As Carly talked about Sonny, she seized the opportunity to subtly suggest that Dante might not remain faithful.

At Dante's loft, Brook and Dante reminisced about their days in Bensonhurst. Dante acknowledged that if he had ever laid a hand on Brook, her grandfather, Carmine, would have hurt him. Brook admitted that she had seen Dante through different eyes when she had first performed at Jake's. Dante joined her on the sofa as they joked and flirted back-and-forth. Brook reached over to kiss Dante, but Dante gently pushed her away and then stood up.

Dante immediately apologized for giving her the wrong impression. He conceded that he might have inadvertently sent her the mixed signals, but he insisted that he was in love with Lulu. Brook assured Dante that it was okay; she understood that he didn't return her feelings. Brook was teary-eyed as she tried to blame the kiss on the wine and then asked Dante not to tell anyone about what had happened. They were startled when Michael entered the loft.

Michael immediately sensed that he had walked in on something, so he offered to leave. Dante insisted that Michael stay and then explained that Brook had to use the shower after she had been caught in the rain. Meanwhile, Brook's cell phone rang, so she scrambled to find it. Once she located it, she collected her things and then left. Dante admitted that the situation had looked bad, but he assured Michael that nothing had happened with Brook. Dante reminded Michael that Dante and Brook had known each other a long time, but they were just friends.

Michael admitted that he didn't recall Brook looking so hot before. Dante agreed that Brook was beautiful and then told Michael about the kiss. However, Dante was clear that it had been one-sided. Dante explained that Brook had been embarrassed about the entire incident, so she didn't want anyone to know. Moments later, Lulu arrived home. Dante happily greeted Lulu, but he didn't mention the incident with Brook. Meanwhile, Lulu let Michael know that Carly had been trying to reach him. Michael decided to leave, but Lulu assured him that he didn't have to go anywhere. Michael appreciated it, but he opted to give Dante and Lulu some space.

At the Metro Court Restaurant, Brook met Carly to update her on what had happened at Dante's loft. Carly made it clear that she didn't want Michael involved, but Brook reminded Carly that Michael lived at the loft, so it wasn't something that could be avoided. Carly conceded that everything would have been perfect if Michael hadn't walked in on Brook and Dante. Brook wasn't happy about what had happened, but Carly didn't care. Carly was happy to know that Dante was more like Sonny than she had thought.

8/12 At the loft, Dante and Lulu lounged in bed. Dante felt guilty for making Michael feel unwelcome, but Lulu reminded Dante that he had secured Michael's release from jail. Dante agreed; however, Michael had been hanging out on the streets to make himself scarce, so that Dante and Lulu could have some privacy. Lulu admitted that it had been quite thoughtful of Michael. Dante joked that perhaps he should keep a sleeping bag on the fire escape for Michael. Lulu chuckled as she promised to figure out another way for them to be alone.

After breakfast, Lulu went to the living room to gather some papers for work. Dante felt bad that he had to go to work, but Lulu assured him that it was okay since she had to get to the office. Dante wondered if Kate knew what a conscientious worker Lulu was. Dante could tell that Lulu enjoyed her job. Lulu conceded that the work was more interesting and challenging that she had expected. Dante joined Lulu on the sofa and then kissed her.

Moments later, Olivia knocked on the door. Dante scrambled to pull on his shirt before he answered his mother's summons. Dante explained that it was a bad time, but Olivia insisted on visiting with her son. Lulu took the opportunity to gather her things and then left. Dante was frustrated because Olivia had interrupted his time with Lulu. Olivia decided that it was time to discuss where Dante's relationship with Lulu was headed.

Dante became uncomfortable when he realized his mother was referring to marriage. Dante insisted that Lulu wasn't interested in marriage, but Olivia didn't believe him. According to Olivia, every girl thought about marriage when she met the man that she loved. Olivia sensed Dante's distress, so she questioned how he felt about Lulu. Dante assured his mother that he loved Lulu; he insisted that Lulu was the only woman he wanted to be with. Olivia relaxed as she wondered if Dante had ever considered marriage.

Later, Lulu returned to the loft to pick up some files that she had left behind. She seemed relieved that Olivia was gone. Dante chuckled nervously as he asked if Lulu had to get back to work right away. "No," Lulu answered as she joined Dante on the sofa. Lulu realized that Dante had something on his mind and that Olivia was somehow behind it.

Dante hedged as he questioned what Lulu's long-term expectations were. Lulu seemed uncertain about what Dante was asking. Dante assured her that he didn't see them ever breaking up. Lulu smiled with relief, but she remained a bit confused about where their conversation was going. Dante told her that staying together should be enough for them at the moment. Lulu was stunned when he added that he wanted her to forget that he had ever mentioned marriage.

Lulu couldn't believe that he had been thinking about marriage, but Dante quickly clarified that his mother had been the one with marriage on her mind. Lulu decided to take it as a compliment that Olivia wanted Dante to marry Lulu, but she was uncomfortable with the idea that Olivia had pushed him to think about it. Dante reminded Lulu that they had only been dating for a short time, so he wasn't ready to take the next step. "Are you?" he asked nervously. Lulu gave him a strained smile and then slowly shook her head.

Later, Carly paid Jason a visit. She was surprised to learn that Michael had seen Jason earlier. Jason explained that Michael was concerned because he suspected that Carly was trying to seek vengeance against Dante and Lulu. Carly defended her decision to break up Dante and Lulu. Jason urged Carly to reconsider, but she refused. Carly couldn't let it go because Lulu was always preaching to her about what a great guy Dante was and how everything had turned out for the best, even though Michael and Jason were still suffering. She blamed everything on Dante's decision to tell the judge the truth about Claudia's demise. Carly revealed that she had to nod and smile, while listening to Lulu's "sanctimonious crap." Carly vowed that she would make Dante and Lulu pay for what they had done.

8/13 Lulu toyed with Dante at his apartment over the issue of marriage. Flustered by the thought of proposing at that moment, Dante was relieved when his phone rang. He answered the call and told Lulu that he had to investigate an attempt on Johnny's life.

In front of the Harbor View Towers building a car careened by and shot at Johnny and Michael. Michael pushed Johnny to the ground and saved his life. Dante arrived on the scene and demanded to know why Michael was there. He worried that Michael having simply been in the presence of Johnny--especially during a shootout--could be enough to get Michael's parole revoked. Police backup showed up to take statements. Dante lied and said that Michael was not a witness. Michael left, and Johnny and Ethan made an official statement to Dante, that it had been Ethan who pushed Johnny onto the ground when the shooting began.

Dante returned home to find an anxious Michael. Dante explained that Michael hadn't done anything wrong but that it would be best if no one knew that Michael had been with Johnny before the shooting. Ronnie knocked on the door. Dante met him outside. Ronnie shared that another witness, an old woman who lived upstairs in the building across the street from the Harbor View Towers, had seen the incident and reported that there had been another man involved, one who fit Michael's description.

8/16 Outside the loft, Ronnie confronted Dante about Michael. Ronnie said that he had talked to a witness who put Michael at the scene where Johnny had barely escaped being gunned down in a drive-by shooting. Ronnie demanded to speak to Michael. Dante allowed Ronnie into the loft. Michael was on the couch, watching a baseball game. He talked about the game to Dante and Ronnie. Ronnie tried to question Michael, but Lucky appeared and said that he had spoken to the alleged witness who was a woman in her eighties.

Lucky said that she could only describe the man with Johnny as tall and blonde. Lucky told Ronnie that her description was not detailed enough to allow Ronnie to take Michael to the police station for violation of his parole. When Ronnie wanted to put Michael in a lineup, Lucky said that the witness did not want to get involved and would not appear to look at a lineup. Ronnie was frustrated and left after accusing Lucky and Dante of being part of a cover-up.

Lucky told both Dante and Michael that he wanted to know the truth. Michael then told Lucky that he had been talking to Johnny about making peace with Sonny when he noticed the speeding car and pushed Johnny to the ground. He told Lucky that the shooter was not one of Sonny's men. Both Dante and Lucky acknowledged the irony of the cover-up they were carrying out on Michael's behalf. Dante said that it was a cover-up that got Michael sent to Pentonville in the first place. Michael said that he did not care what he had to do as long as he did not have to go back to prison.

Dante and Michael were sitting on the couch, watching a baseball game, when Carly called Michael to tell him that Jason had been released and that she was throwing a welcome home party at the penthouse. Michael agreed to meet her immediately. Dante and Michael talked about Jason's release. Dante was astonished that Claire had let it happen.

When his phone rang, Dante thought it was Claire with an explanation, but it was Brook. She asked him to pick her up at Jake's. She told him that she had problems and really needed a friend. Carly overheard the conversation. Before leaving the table, she told Brook that she and Dante better end up a whole lot more than friends.

Lulu went to the police station to see Lucky. She told him she needed some advice about Dante from a guy's perspective. Lucky wanted to know if something was wrong, but Lulu said no. She said that she was very happy with the way things were and so was Dante. She said that the fly in the ointment was Olivia, who had scolded Dante about not making a marriage proposal. Lulu said that she was not ready to get married and neither was Dante. She told Lucky that since Olivia's interference, she was afraid that Dante would propose too soon.

Dante met Brook at Jake's. She was tearful and told him that she was having panic attacks and did not know what to do about them. He told her that she was an amazing singer and had nothing to worry about, but Brook said that she did not have any direction and wondered if she should take Edward's offer to move in with the Quartermaines and return to school.

Brook said that nothing made her happy because, unlike Dante, she did not know what she wanted out of life. Dante told her to calm down and breathe. While Dante took a phone call that gave him the particulars of Jason's release, Brook got beers. While Dante was not looking Brook spiked the bottle. Unaware that the beer was drugged, Dante started drinking it as he and Brook continued their conversation.

8/17 At the police station, Lulu and Lucky talked about marriage. Lulu suggested that saying, "I do" seemed to be the fastest way to kill a relationship. Lucky was bothered by his sister’s cynicism. Lulu shrugged as she explained that what she had with Dante worked, so she didn't want to ruin it with talk of marriage. Lulu realized that happily ever after didn't exist, which made her wonder why people got married. Lucky conceded that vows and a piece of paper didn't make a difference; it was human nature that messed up relationships because people had unrealistic expectations.

According to Lucky, too many made assumptions about their loved ones, which eventually led to great disappointments. Lucky advised Lulu to run if a guy ever told her that she completed him. He explained that if a guy wasn't whole, then he wouldn't be good for anyone else. Lulu was a bit taken aback by her brother's attitude. Lucky advised Lulu not to make assumptions about what was troubling Dante. Lucky insisted that Lulu and Dante had to be honest with each other if they hoped to make their relationship work.

At Jake's, Brook confessed to Dante that it was kind of him to race to her rescue when she had called. Dante wondered if Brook felt better. Brook admitted that she hadn't had a panic attack in quite some time, but it had subsided. Dante saluted her as he assured her that he had been happy to be of assistance. He accidentally knocked her purse over as he lowered his arm. Dante leaned down to gather the contents that had spilled out of her purse.

Dante held up a bottle of pills as he straightened. He was curious what they were for. Brook explained that they were for her allergies and then tucked them back into her purse. Dante warned her to be careful not to mix them with alcohol. After Dante took a long sip of his beer, he commented that the alcohol had seemed particularly potent that evening. Brook smiled, but didn't say anything. Coleman delivered two more bottles of beer and then conversationally asked Dante how things were going.

Dante began to gush about his love for Lulu, so Coleman pulled up a chair and then sat down. Coleman was curious what Brook and Dante could tell him about Kate's life in Bensonhurst. Brook admitted that it had been a little before her time, but she had heard stories about the Falconeri cousins. Dante playfully insisted that his mother had been a saint. Brook didn't disagree, but she explained that Kate hadn't married, so she had been considered a black sheep like Brook.

After Coleman left, Dante seemed genuinely surprised that Brook felt like an outcast. Brook could tell that Dante was feeling the effects of the drugs that she had slipped in his drink, so she began to talk about her crush on him. Brook couldn't believe that he hadn't known how she felt about him. Dante admitted that Brook had changed from the young tomboy that he had remembered to the warm and vulnerable woman that she had grown into. He requested that she wear more clothes whenever she was around him because he was only human.

Dante then asked for reassurance that they were still friends. Brook promised him that they were, so she offered to take him home and then tuck him into bed. Shortly after they left, Lulu showed up at the bar looking for Dante. Coleman explained that she had just missed her boyfriend. However, before Lulu could leave, Coleman asked her for a favor. Coleman wanted to know Kate's itinerary, so that he could surprise her.

Lulu didn't think that Kate would approve of her sharing the information with anyone, including Coleman, but Coleman refused to give up. He eventually wore Lulu down by suggesting that he might be able to keep Kate out of town for a few extra days, which would give Lulu some extra freedom. Lulu quickly pulled out her cell phone.

At the loft, Brook helped Dante to the sofa. Dante was staggering and slurring his words, but Brook decided to fetch two more beers. Brook reminded him of her crush on him and then questioned if he had ever wondered about them. Dante seemed confused about what she was asking, so Brook leaned forward to kiss Dante. Things quickly heated up between them. When Lulu arrived at the loft a short time later, she found Brook, half-dressed, sitting on Dante's lap. Dante's hands roamed all over Brook's body while they passionately kissed.

8/18 At the loft, Lulu shouted, "Get off of him you disgusting bitch," as she shoved Brook off of Dante's lap. Lulu ordered Brook to leave, but Brook suggested that it was Dante's call to make. Brook advised Dante to call her when he was done with "this bitch." Lulu viciously slapped Brook, but Brook was quick to return the slap with equal force. Brook then dared Lulu to try to take a piece of her. Lulu shoved Brook to the door.

After Lulu slammed the door closed on Brook, she turned to Dante. Dante seemed oblivious to the drama that had unfolded before him. "You swore that you loved me," Lulu cried. "I did?" Dante asked. Dante staggered to the kitchen to splash his face with cold water, but it didn't help. Dante remained dazed and confused about who Lulu was. Lulu began to suspect that Dante had been drugged, so she helped him to bed and then put a cold compress on his forehead.

As Dante rambled about how beautiful Lulu was, Lulu decided to take advantage of Dante's drugged state by asking him a few questions. She was curious if Dante had ever been tempted to do something that he shouldn't, like cheat on his girlfriend. "Nope," Dante answered. However, Lulu sensed that he was hiding something, so she asked if he were keeping anything from her. Dante explained that he couldn't talk about it because they had both given their word not to say anything. Lulu tried to find out who he was talking about, but Dante had passed out.

Lulu admitted to herself that she was a cynic who was afraid to trust. Michael entered the loft moments later. He immediately realized that something was wrong. Lulu revealed what she had walked in on Dante and Brook. Michael wondered if he could help, so Lulu asked him to keep an eye on Dante to make certain that he kept breathing. Lulu called Brook a slut and then informed Michael that she intended to "make that bitch pay." After Lulu stormed out, Michael glanced at his brother, who remained sound asleep. Michael admitted that he didn't want to be in Dante's shoes in the morning.
