Expanded Descriptions Dante & Lulu #1 June 19 - October 5, 2009 - 8 hour original edit DVD #1A 6/19 Claudia warned Johnny that she
had hired a hit man to kill Jason during their assignment to teach the Zacchara
lieutenants a lesson. Johnny didn't think that was a good idea, and he reminded
her of when Michael was shot. Claudia said she knew the plan wasn't perfect, but
it was the best she could do. Johnny was annoying Jason with his incessant babble. They crept through the woods to the location where the Zacchara lieutenants were located. As they knelt in the bushes, Johnny saw a red laser pointed on Jason's head. 6/22 Johnny saved Jason from a sniper who was waiting in ambush in the woods. They were in deep trouble as they fired numerous rounds of bullets at their assailants, who fired back. They were pinned down and running low on ammunition when they decided to make a run for it. Both Jason and Johnny got to their feet and started running while firing their guns. Out in the woods, a wounded assassin made a phone call for help. He agreed to meet a car on a nearby road. Morgan was navigating the woods with a flashlight. The wounded assassin grabbed him and told him to keep quiet so they would both get out of their situation unharmed. 6/23 Outside in the woods, Morgan stumbled upon a gangster with a gun. Morgan told him that he was Sonny Corinthos' son, and the man would be killed if anything happened to any of Sonny's children. The man couldn't believe his lucky day to find a Corinthos child in the woods. Morgan noticed the man was bleeding, and the man said that Morgan's namesake had been the one who had shot him. Morgan realized that the stranger was an enemy if Jason had shot him. The man tried to get Morgan to help him with the navigator on his phone, and, although Morgan was much more tech-savvy than the mobster from Bensonhurst, there was no need for all the bells and whistles. Morgan knew just where he was going, and that the road and Sonny's house were only a half a mile further through the woods. Carly grabbed a flashlight and her cell phone and headed for the woods. Michael was going to start searching for Morgan starting at Sonny's house, and they would meet in the middle. It wasn't long before Carly found Morgan, but the stranger grabbed the child to use as a hostage when he saw Carly. Just when Morgan was released to Carly, Michael stumbled upon the group and tried to wrestle the mobster to the ground. Carly started to use her flashlight as a weapon, but it was quickly evident that the mobster had the upper hand. The man said he didn't want to hurt any of them, though. He said it was very honorable for Carly to protect her children with something as insignificant as a flashlight. The man wanted them to tell Sonny that he had not hurt them. Although he could have easily killed them, he chose not to. It was a debt Sonny might have to repay one day. 6/24 Claudia returned to her bedroom where her hired gunman, Dominic, rested. Claudia grabbed a nearby pillow and then tried to smother the injured man. Unfortunately for Claudia, the Bensonhurst mobster wasn't as weak as she had anticipated. He managed to pull the pillow away from his face before he angrily demanded to know what Claudia was doing. Claudia didn't apologize for trying to kill him. She wanted him to give her one good reason not to turn him over to her guards. The gunman pointed out that he wouldn't hesitate to take her down with him. Claudia switched gears, as she demanded to know what had gone wrong with the hit on Jason. The gunman revealed that Johnny had saved Jason's life by aiding Jason during the shoot-out. He wondered whose side Claudia's brother was on. Kristina stumbled across Claudia's hired gunman in Greystone Manor. The gunman immediately grabbed Kristina and warned her to cooperate. 6/25 Kristina found herself alone, in Claudia's bedroom, with Dominic, the gunman Claudia had hired. Dominic asked Kristina why she didn't want Sonny to know that she was in the house. Kristina explained that she had stopped by to visit her brother, but didn't want her mother to find out. Kristina worried that if Alexis learned of the unscheduled visit, she would never allow Kristina near Sonny or Michael again. Dominic considered that more than enough information. Kristina demanded to know what Dominic wanted from her. Dominic had a long list of things that he desired, but he decided to settle on medical supplies, a car, and food. Kristina admitted that she couldn't help him obtain any of those things. Dominic realized that Kristina was useless to him, so he offered her the opportunity to leave. Kristina had a change of heart. Before she dashed out of the bedroom, she promised to help him. Kristina returned to Claudia's room with food and medical supplies. Dominic was disappointed to learn that Kristina had not been able to secure a set of car keys for him. Kristina ignored Dominic's complaint; the argument, between her parents, which she had overheard, distracted her. Dominic's concern grew when Kristina let it slip that her mother was the district attorney. As Kristina prattled on about her family problems, she admitted that she believed her mother hated her father. In Kristina's mind, that also meant that Alexis hated a part of Kristina. 6/26 Claudia pretended not to know Dominic when she walked into her bedroom and found Kristina and the hit man together. Kristina begged Claudia not to tell Sonny. Claudia made a fuss about Sonny having a right to know, but ultimately agreed to keep Kristina's secret. As Claudia led Kristina out of her room, Claudia turned back to Dominic and made it clear that she intended to deal with him when she returned. Once they were outside, Kristina confided that she felt pressured by her mother. Claudia promised not to say anything to Kristina's parents in exchange for Kristina's agreement not to return to Greystone Manor unless Sonny asked to see his daughter. Johnny tried to help Dominic slip out of Sonny's house, undetected. Dominic had other ideas; he wondered why he should leave the comforts of Sonny's home. 7/2 Dominic's very life was at risk by walking into Johnny's garage. Dominic had a proposal; he wanted Johnny to help him infiltrate Sonny's organization. Johnny realized that Dominic intended to strike at Sonny from within. Johnny refused to have anything to do with the plan. Dominic was disappointed. He accused Johnny of not appreciating Dominic's help when he had saved Johnny's life. Johnny scoffed at the idea of Dominic protecting him during the shootout in the woods. Dominic chided Johnny for his slanted view of the incident. He insisted that Johnny had never been in any danger, then. Kristina wandered outside. She was startled when Dominic suddenly walked up and greeted her. 7/6 Dominic wanted Kristina's help to get into Sonny's. He told her that he wanted to become one of the men on Sonny's security detail and asked her for the security code. Kristina was suspicious and did not answer him. Molly arrived home and Dominic left after telling her he was the pizza delivery guy. Kristina persuaded Molly to keep Dominic's visit secret from Alexis. Dominic brought pizza to two of his rebel cronies who were hiding in a cabin in the woods. They were making plans to go after Sonny again. Dominic told them that he was working on a better way. Johnny led Jason to a cabin in the woods that belonged to the Zacarras. They burst in firing their weapons. When they were done, two men lay dead alongside a suitcase full of drugs. Jason and Johnny examined the bodies looking for a bullet wound that marked the man who had threatened Morgan, Michael, and Carly in the woods. 7/8 At her apartment as Olivia opened the door, Dante grabbed her from behind. She briefly struggled with him until she realized that he was her son. Dante seemed surprised that he had frightened his mother when he had grabbed her from behind and covered her mouth with his hand. Olivia chastised Dante and then pulled him to her for a warm hug. While Olivia fetched them each a bottle of beer, Dante found a man's wristwatch on the coffee table. He asked his mother about it when she returned. Dante wanted reassurance that she wasn't involved with Sonny. Olivia managed to ease her son's concerns without revealing anything about the man she was seeing. After Dante left his mother's apartment, he bumped into Claudia on the docks. Claudia was furious when she realized that her hit man had remained in Port Charles. Claudia pointed out that he had made a grave error when he had threatened Sonny's ex-wife and children. Claudia was stunned when Dante told her that intended to work for Sonny. Claudia reminded the man, whom she knew as Dominic, that two of Sonny's children and Carly could easily identify him. Claudia refused to risk being linked to Dominic; she ordered him to leave town. Dante secretly followed Claudia back to Greystone Manor. While Dante lurked on the terrace, eavesdropping, Sonny questioned Claudia about the men that Johnny and Jason had killed earlier that night. Claudia deflected the questions by firing off insults about Olivia. The argument came to an abrupt end when Claudia felt the baby kick. She reached out for Sonny's hand, so that he could feel the movement for himself. 7/10 Olivia was surprised when she found Dante sitting on the sofa when she entered her apartment. Olivia wondered why her son was in town for the second time that week. Dante replied that he had been looking for a new job and then slyly changed the subject by teasing Olivia about the romantic dinner plans. Dante wanted to know whom she was seeing. Olivia reminded Dante of their agreement to stay out each other's personal lives. As she playfully slapped Dante's arm, Olivia noticed that he had winced. Dante deftly sidestepped her questions about the injury before he left. Olivia was teary-eyed, as she looked at a picture of herself, with Sonny, in younger days. Dante met an acquaintance at a laundromat. While the men folded laundry, Dante confidently assured his companion that he was working to get close to Sonny. Carly went to Greystone Manor to talk to Sonny about Jason's arrest. While they talked, Dante strolled in through the back door. Sonny was speechless as Dante admitted to being the gunman who had threatened Carly and the children in the woods. Before Sonny could react, Dante made a point to remind Sonny that he had not harmed Carly or the children. Carly confirmed that Dante had not hurt her or the boys. Sonny offered Dante an opportunity to leave town without retribution, but Dante wasn't interested. Dante wanted Sonny to hire him. 7/13 At Sonny's place, Dominic, a.k.a. Dante, burst in on Sonny and Carly. He wanted a job from Sonny. He asked Carly for a reference, but Carly told Sonny to shoot him. Dante pointed out that he had not harmed Carly or her children when he happened upon them in the woods, although he could have. He told Sonny that he knew everyone in the organization and that he could be very helpful to Sonny in finding out who was disloyal. He said that neither Claudia nor Johnny knew the organization like he did. Claudia arrived home, so Carly left after warning Sonny to get Jason out of jail or she would be back. Claudia told Sonny not to hire Dante. Dante implied that Sonny took orders from Claudia, so Sonny said that he would give Dante a job if Dante brought proof that someone in Sonny's organization was betraying him. Dante said that was no problem, and left to get proof. Dante showed up at Jason's place. Jason pulled a gun, but Dante told him about his visit to Sonny's and his deal with Sonny, so Jason put his gun away. He asked Jason to give him time to expose a traitor so he could prove himself and earn a place in Sonny's organization. Jason agreed. Dante went to see Claudia. He told her to quit trying to get rid of him and to work with him. He told her that they were in a position to help each other get what each wanted. 7/14 Dominic met with Claudia to try to broker a deal. Although Claudia was tempted to team up with Dominic, she was in no position to make another deal. Dominic was not dejected, though. He soon met up with a friend on the piers, and Dominic explained that he was close to getting a job with Sonny. Dominic needed some insider information to convince Sonny to trust him. Although the man didn't like Dominic's plan, he agreed to provide information about a shipment that would be arriving. Dante arrived at his mother's apartment after having been summoned. He tried to joke around with his mother, but Olivia was clearly in no mood for jesting. She told him that Port Charles was not safe for him. He needed to get his business done and get out. Dominic arrived at Sonny's house to tell him about the shipment that would be arriving. Sonny wasn't sure what to think about Dominic's helpfulness, so he threatened to put a bullet between Dominic's eyes if the tip turned out to be false. Claudia listened from the top of the stairs as Dominic asked what would happen when Sonny found out he could be trusted. Sonny said his bullet would miss. 7/15 Johnny showed up at the penthouse a short time later. Jason was eager to question Johnny about Dominic; he wanted to know if Dominic could be trusted. Before Johnny could answer, someone knocked on the door. It was Dominic. Dominic walked into Jason's penthouse and immediately made himself at home by the pool table. While Dominic shot pool, he worked on gaining Jason and Johnny's trust. Dominic was pleasantly surprised when Maxie breezed through the living room on her way out. Dominic's surprise turned to shock when he discovered that Maxie was Spinelli's girlfriend, not Jason's. Spinelli was too distraught to take offense to Dominic's reaction. Jason dismissed Johnny and Dominic when Spinelli begged Jason for a moment of his time. 7/22 Olivia was furious when she walked into her apartment and found Dante waiting for her. She demanded to know what he was doing in Port Charles. Dante sensed that his mother was upset, and asked what was troubling her. Olivia refused to talk about it, but Dante wouldn't let it go. Olivia opted to talk about Aunt Carmen, who had her heart broken by a married man. Dante realized that Olivia might be in a similar situation. Olivia didn't deny or confirm it. A few minutes later, Jason knocked on Olivia's door. 7/23 Jason knocked on Olivia's apartment door while Dante quickly hid in another room. Olivia opened the door to shoo Jason away, to no avail. Jason explained that Sonny couldn't leave the hospital because Claudia might lose the baby. Olivia reluctantly invited Jason inside to hear him out. Jason confirmed to Olivia that Sonny was the father of Claudia's son. Jason gently added that Sonny had decided to put his family first, despite Sonny's feelings for Olivia. Olivia was keenly aware of Dante's presence in the next room. She chose her words carefully as she told Jason that she understood Sonny's decision. She wished Sonny well; however, she made it clear that she didn't want Sonny to contact her again. As soon as Jason left, Dante burst from the other room. He was furious because he realized that his mother was involved with Sonny. He demanded that Olivia return to Bensonhurst immediately. Olivia reminded Dante that he didn't have the right to order her around. Dante and Olivia continued to argue back and forth until Dante's cell phone rang. Dante answered it, had a brief conversation with someone, and then announced that he had to leave. Moments later, Olivia called Johnny to get an update on Claudia. After the call, Olivia decided to head out of the apartment. Dominic arrives at GH and announces that there was an issue, which required Sonny and Jason’s immediate attention. When Olivia arrived at the hospital, she was shocked when she approached the room and noticed Sonny and Dante in the middle of a heated discussion. 7/24 Dante went to his mother's apartment at Olivia's request. Olivia demanded to know why Dante had been talking to Sonny. Dante refused to answer his mother, so Olivia threatened to go to Sonny for answers. Dante reluctantly admitted that he was working for Sonny. Olivia's angrily responded, "Over my dead body!" Dante found his mother's reaction hypocritical given Olivia's relationship with Sonny. Olivia didn't apologize for the double standard; she was desperate to save her "baby." Olivia warned Dante that if anyone double-crossed Sonny, Sonny wouldn't hesitate to kill that person. Olivia pleaded with Dante to resign from Sonny's organization. Dante explained that he couldn't do that, but didn't elaborate beyond that. Olivia reminded Dante that she had grown up with Sonny. She was certain that Sonny would figure out what Dante was up to. After Dante left his mother's apartment, he met up with an associate named Ronnie. When Dante told Ronnie about Claudia's accident, Ronnie suggested that it was the perfect opportunity for Dante to move in to get the information that they needed to take down Sonny. Dante was uncomfortable capitalizing on the situation. Ronnie reminded Dante that Sonny was a "thug" who had murdered many people. Ronnie didn't think Sonny would think twice about putting a bullet in Dante's head. Ronnie insisted that they had a job to do. 7/28 Olivia walked into Kelly's for cup of coffee. She was shocked to see Dante speaking with Mike about renting a room. Mike said he needed to check his references, and Olivia mentioned out loud that she thought that was a good idea. Dante and Olivia acted as if they didn't know one another, and Dante introduced himself to her as Dominic. Mike mentioned that he only rented to people with jobs, and Dante said he had a job with Sonny Corinthos. Mike said he was Sonny's father, which Olivia said might or might not be a good thing. Mike also told Dante that Olivia had grown up with Sonny, but Olivia assured them both that she didn't communicate with Sonny any longer. 7/31 At Jake's, Dominic ordered a beer and informed Coleman that Bernie had sent him. Coleman was frustrated because he had paid a protection fee, yet his backroom had been broken into twice. Coleman expected a return for his money. Dominic assured Coleman that he would take care of the problem. Lulu walked in a few minutes later to ask Coleman to host another Karaoke Night. Lulu explained that Spinelli had proposed to Maxie, but Maxie hadn't accepted. Coleman realized that Lulu hoped to temporarily distract Spinelli from the proposal by forcing him to focus on another musical performance. He agreed to host the Karaoke Night as soon as he could line up another karaoke machine. Smiling, Lulu walked over to the jukebox. While she was scanning the selections, a middle-aged biker approached her. Lulu managed to shoo him away; however, Dominic was another matter. Dominic struck up a conversation with Lulu and then invited her to play a game of pool with him. As they prepared to play, Dominic asked Lulu what her name was. Lulu introduced herself as Trixie. Dominic chuckled as he introduced himself as Biff. Just as Lulu revealed her real name, Ethan strolled into the bar. When Dominic joked about Ethan's accent, Lulu revealed that Ethan was her brother. Ethan ignored Dominic as he walked over to the bar. A short time later, Lucky walked in. Lucky demanded to know why Ethan had called. Ethan pointed to Dominic and then informed Lucky that Dominic worked for Sonny. Lucky approached the pool table to order Dominic away from Lulu. Dominic didn't appreciate Lucky's attitude. The confrontation quickly escalated when Ethan joined the discussion. Lulu was shocked when Lucky and Ethan started trading punches with Dominic. Coleman ordered them to take it outside, but otherwise he didn't interfere. Lulu yelled at her brothers as they continued to pummel Dominic. When that failed, Lulu forcibly pulled her brothers off of Dominic. 8/3 At Jake's, Lulu was furious as Ethan and Lucky took turns pummeling Dominic. Dominic didn't help matters by intentionally antagonizing the brothers. The fight continued until Nikolas and Rebecca entered the bar. Nikolas intervened when he heard Lulu's pleas for Ethan and Lucky to stop fighting. After Nikolas pulled Ethan and Lucky off of Dominic, Coleman walked out with a tab for the damages. Nikolas couldn't believe that Ethan and Lucky had finally bonded over assaulting a stranger. When Nikolas was informed that Dominic worked for Sonny, his attitude changed. However, before Nikolas could pick up where Ethan and Lucky had left off, Rebecca stepped in. Dominic continued to bait Lulu's brothers. He asked Lulu if she had antiseptic and bandages at her apartment. Lulu smiled smugly at her brothers before she helped Dominic out of his seat and then carefully led him out of the bar. Behind the bar, Colman confessed that he was impressed with Dominic. Coleman found it a fascinating tactic to allow oneself to be beaten in order to get the girl. Nikolas pointed out that if Lucky and Ethan had ignored Dominic, Lulu probably would have walked away from him. Lulu took Dominic to General Hospital to have his injuries checked and treated. He was a bit taken aback by Epiphany's abruptness when she discovered that he had been in a bar fight. However, when Dominic tried to leave, Epiphany made it clear that he wasn't going anywhere until she said so. Lulu smiled with satisfaction. 8/4 Back at the hospital, Dominic flirted with Lulu and convinced her to stay with him until he had been checked out. Epiphany was exasperated with him, but she was shocked when Dominic took off his shirt to reveal a gunshot wound. Epiphany wanted to report the injury to the police, but Dominic convinced her that it would be devastating to Lulu, since her brother had been involved in the fight at Jake's. As Dominic was preparing to leave the hospital, he tried to talk Lulu into staying with him at his apartment to make sure he didn't have a concussion. Lulu didn't fall for his games and left him alone in the elevator. As Johnny and Olivia were quickly undressing each other and making out on the couch. The door wasn't shut all the way, and Dante walked in and saw his mother half-dressed on top of Johnny on the couch. 8/5 Olivia and Johnny were on the sofa in the middle of a heated kiss when Dominic barged into the apartment. Olivia jumped off the sofa and then put some distance between her and Johnny. Johnny was furious that Dominic had walked into the apartment uninvited. Johnny assumed that Dominic was there to see him on behalf of Sonny. Johnny promised to meet up with Sonny later and then ordered Dominic leave. Dominic seemed slightly shell-shocked as he turned and walked out. At Kelly's, Mike was short a waitress, so Lulu offered to cover a shift. As she donned her apron, Dominic walked in. Dominic sat down at the counter and confessed to Lulu that his head was hurting. Lulu assumed Dominic was pretending to have a concussion, so that she would join him in his room to keep him from falling asleep. Dominic explained that he was actually referring to the fact that he had discovered his mother with a much younger man. Lulu told Dominic that his mother had a right to her own life. She advised Dominic to stay out of his mother's business. As they spoke, Sonny strolled in. Sonny ordered Dominic to leave Lulu alone. Sonny made it clear that Lulu was under his protection and that her father was a close friend. Sonny became more annoyed when he learned that Dominic's bruised face was a result of a fight with Lulu's brothers. Dominic admitted that he was reeling from the shock of discovering that his mother was involved with a man young enough to be her son. Sonny took pity on Dominic. He told Dominic about his own life growing up with an undependable father and an abusive stepfather. Sonny suggested that there were ways to encourage someone to disappear if Dominic believed that his mother's new boyfriend was trouble. Dominic appreciated the offer, but admitted that he was fairly certain his mother's boyfriend was a stand-up guy. Moments later, Olivia entered Kelly's. When she spotted Dominic and Sonny together, she approached their table. Olivia managed to let Dominic know that he had overstepped his bounds by entering her apartment uninvited. Luckily for Olivia, Sonny didn't catch on that she was Dominic's mother. However, when she warned Dominic that he shouldn't be working for Sonny, Sonny asked why she cared. Olivia claimed that she thought working for Sonny was a waste of an opportunity. As they watched Olivia walk out, Sonny bragged, "She's crazy about me." 8/6 At Kelly's, Maxie was on the phone, dealing with a work crisis, when Lulu strolled in. As Maxie prattled on about the disaster looming over Crimson, Lulu realized that Maxie was trying to deflect. Lulu accused Maxie of trying to avoid telling Spinelli that she didn't want to get married. Maxie surprised Lulu by inviting her to the Scorpio-Jones family dinner. Lulu suspected that the invitation was prompted by a desire to have someone on hand to help with Spinelli. Maxie assured Lulu that the dinner would be enjoyable. Maxie was determined to have a nice quiet evening without any surprises. 8/7 Maxie and Lulu arrived at Mac's for the family dinner. Maxie was nervous about telling Mac that Spinelli wanted to propose. Lulu advised that she tell Mac and get it over with. Robin arrived shortly after. Maxie told her tale of woe to Robin, who asked whether or not Maxie wanted to marry Spinelli. Maxie said that she loved Spinelli with all her heart, but she did not think that she was ready for marriage. She said that she wanted to keep things as they were. Robin said that the answer was to do nothing. She said that Spinelli would eventually ask Mac, and Mac would say no, which would solve Maxie's problem. Maxie said she could see the logic in that. Dante confronted Olivia in her apartment. She told him that she was a modern woman and that it was okay for her to date a man younger than she. Dante admitted that age was not as much a problem as the fact that Johnny was a dangerous gangster. Olivia told Dante that he was just as dangerous to her as Johnny was. She told him that she did no like having to pretend that she did not know him in public and pretend that his name was Dominic. Dante responded that she had to be patient because he was about to realize his lifelong dream. His successful impersonation of a mobster had earned him a place in Sonny's organization, from which he would be the undercover cop that brought the Corinthos mob down. 8/10 Olivia and Dante were in her apartment, arguing about his occupation as an undercover cop, as well as Olivia's very real fear that she might accidentally give him away by showing too much interest in him in public, when Sonny banged on her door. Dante quickly exited via the fire escape. At Mac's house, Robin, Patrick, Emma, Lulu, and Maxie looked on as Spinelli tried to ask Mac for Maxie's hand in marriage. As soon as Mac figured out what Spinelli wanted, he was adamant that he would never consent to a wedding between Maxie and Spinelli. Mac was so disparaging to Spinelli that Maxie jumped in to defend her suitor. Both Robin and Lulu tried to get Maxie to back off, but her inner warrior woman rebelled against Mac's high-handed treatment, and she insisted that she did not need Mac's approval to wed Spinelli. She encouraged Spinelli to ask her again and, when he did, Maxie accepted Spinelli's proposal. Mac was floored. Robin took him aside and said she would handle it. She sent Mac back to work. Lulu also left. Dominic dropped in on Claudia when he was looking for Sonny. She called him a traitor, and he asked her what would happen if he told Sonny that she had ordered him to kill Jason. Before she could answer, Johnny walked in. When he mentioned Olivia, Claudia went ballistic and called Olivia a slut and accused her of sleeping with Sonny. Dominic reacted and defended Olivia. Claudia got more vicious but Dominic held back while Johnny defended Olivia and his relationship to her. When Sonny got home, Johnny told him that he had learned of a Zacchara drug shipment. Dominic added that he had been able to confirm the arrival time and location. Sonny told them to go take care of the traitors and burn the drugs. Johnny and Dominic burst into a warehouse and got the drop on two guys and a shipment of dope. They let the guys go, but kept the dope. Dominic wanted to take it back to Sonny's house, but Johnny said no, they would burn it just as Sonny ordered, because the Corinthos mob did not deal in drugs. Before they could torch the shipment, police sirens sounded nearby. Dominic told Johnny to hide. He said that he would take the fall. As Johnny waited in a hiding place out of sight of the cops, Lucky arrested Dominic. 8/11 Down at the docks, Johnny hid while Dominic allowed himself to be caught. Lucky didn't make it very far, and all discussion ceased once Diane learned she was on the clock and defending Dominic. When Diane and Dominic were alone, Diane tried to get information from Dominic. He wouldn't reveal anything except that he was a deck hand for Sonny Corinthos. Diane was frustrated, because it made her job even more difficult if she had no information. Despite the lack of cooperation, Diane demanded the Port Charles Police Department release her client before she left the station herself. As soon as Sonny's attorney had left, the assistant district attorney appeared and showed some interest in Dominic's case. It appeared the woman was after Alexis' job, so she was quick to take on any job to show off her skills. Dominic asked for pen and paper, and he quickly wrote down a phone number. Mac was surprised when he walked back into the interrogation room and realized he was speaking with Detective Dante Falconeri. Kate stopped by to visit her cousin at her apartment, and she tried to convince Olivia to reveal the truth about Dante to Sonny. Kate thought Olivia and Sonny were already sleeping together, especially since she saw Olivia's car over at Sonny's house all the time and Sonny's car was constantly at Olivia's apartment. Olivia tried to deny any feelings for Sonny, but Kate was one of the few people who knew the truth about Olivia and Sonny's past. Olivia needed to be honest with herself and especially her son. Revealing the truth to Sonny and Dante was not something Olivia intended on doing, though. No one had much of an opportunity to talk before there was another knock on the door. Kate was there with Lulu, and they had arrived to begin all the planning for the newest Crimson event of the year, the Spinelli-Jones wedding. Kate began talking about bachelor parties and wedding gowns, and Maxie decided to put an end to Kate's control. Kate would not be allowed to pick the wedding date or the location, and especially not the gown. Spinelli was also upset because any events Kate planned would surely make Jason uncomfortable. Maxie announced that she and Spinelli had already set a date, September 21. Spinelli told everyone that his wedding to Maximista would be everything she had dreamt of, and not a Crimson PR event. 8/12 Olivia tried to hide her surprise when Johnny revealed that Dominic had been arrested. However, she couldn't hide her worry. Johnny found her reaction curious, but Olivia managed to explain it away. According to Olivia, Dominic's situation was a reminder of how dangerous Johnny's line of work was. Olivia didn't want Johnny to meet the same fate as Dominic. Johnny was touched by Olivia's concern. After he kissed her, Olivia urged him to take a shower before dinner. Johnny asked Olivia to join him, but Olivia insisted that she needed to run to the store for some sauce. Later, Olivia walked into the Port Charles Police Station on the pretense of taking care of a traffic ticket. While a police officer went to check the records, Olivia's eyes scanned the squad room in an effort to find her son. In a nearby interrogation room, Mac and the assistant district attorney talked to Detective Dante Falconari about his undercover assignment. Dante warned Mac that he had to be released before Sonny became suspicious. Diane and Lucky's entrance forced Dante to revert back to his undercover persona. Diane insisted that Dominic's arrest had been a result of an illegal search and seizure. Lucky argued that they'd had probable cause. Lucky was frustrated when the A.D.A. sided with Diane. After Dominic was released from custody, Diane called Johnny. She told him that the charges against Dominic had been dropped. Diane admitted that she had been impressed with Dominic's conduct during the interrogation. He'd been tight-lipped like Jason, rather than nervous and inexperienced. Later, Dante met Ronnie at a local laundromat. Ronnie was furious because Dante's arrest had nearly blown Dante's cover. Ronnie's rant was cut short when Olivia marched into the laundromat and ordered Dante to return to Bensonhurst immediately. Olivia insisted that it was too dangerous for Dante to remain undercover. Dante reminded his mother that she was the one who was in danger because of her relationship with Johnny Zacchara. Ronnie stepped in to caution Olivia that she was jeopardizing Dante by arguing with him in a public place. Olivia realized that Ronnie had a point. On her way out the door, she demanded that Ronnie talk sense into her son. Ronnie admitted that he had reservations about Dante continuing with his assignment. Ronnie was also worried about Olivia's involvement with Johnny and her history with Sonny. Dante was satisfied that he had successfully infiltrated Sonny's organization. He assured Ronnie that Olivia would guard her son's secrets with her life. Lulu profusely apologized as she entered the penthouse. Lulu felt terrible that she had inadvertently involved Kate, who had decided that she wanted Lulu to plan the wedding. To Lulu's surprise, Maxie welcomed the help. Spinelli was delighted to move ahead with the plans. As Spinelli and Lulu sat down to brainstorm, Maxie hovered nearby looking slightly ill. Lulu noticed Maxie's distress, but Spinelli remained oblivious to it. Lulu tried to help Maxie by changing the subject to shoes; however, the thought of wedding shoes just upset Maxie further. Lulu quickly covered for Maxie by suggesting that they select the best man and maid of honor. Spinelli declared that Jason would be his best man. When Spinelli assumed that Lulu would be Maxie's maid of honor, Lulu reminded him that she was not Maxie's best friend. Lulu was shocked when Maxie insisted that Lulu agree to be her maid of honor. According to Maxie, Lulu was one of the few people that Maxie trusted. After Lulu relented, Maxie's nervousness returned. Maxie had difficult saying the word "wedding," while Spinelli expressed a desire to break out in song in order to adequately convey his undying love and devotion to his bride. 8/13 Morgan and Dominic returned back to the Jack’s. Morgan told Carly about Dominic's timely intervention during the confrontation with Kiefer. Carly appreciated Dominic's assistance with Morgan, but confessed that it was surprising. Dominic had gone from holding hostages to saving Morgan. Olivia was shocked by the comment. Carly revealed how they had met Dominic. Dominic wisely decided to excuse himself. Olivia went to the laundromat where she angrily confronted Dante about holding a pregnant woman and two children hostage. Dante reminded his mother that Carly and the boys had never been in any danger; he was a police officer, not a criminal. Olivia worried that Dante's true identity would soon be discovered. She begged her son to return home before the truth was exposed. Dante suggested that Olivia be the one to move back to Bensonhurst, so that she wouldn't have to continue lying to everyone. Olivia and Dante were unaware that Johnny lurked just outside of the laundromat. He walked away before the Olivia and Dante discovered him. Carly was surprised when Morgan announced that he had invited Dominic to the baseball game. Dominic immediately sensed Carly's distress. He asked Morgan to fetch a glass of water for him. As soon as Morgan was out of the room, Dominic told Carly that he understood her discomfort. He assured her that he enjoyed Morgan's company. Dominic confessed that he saw a bit of himself in Morgan. 8/14 Olivia walked into the laundromat where Ronnie was folding laundry. Ronnie was annoyed because Olivia had called his boss to arrange the meeting. He warned Olivia that she was compromising Dante's undercover assignment. Olivia didn't care; she was determined to have Dante transferred to another case. Olivia reminded Ronnie of their long history. She was furious because Ronnie had authorized Dante to go undercover to bust Sonny. Ronnie reminded Olivia that Dante was a grown man who was capable of making his own decisions. Ronnie warned Olivia that he would not allow her to jeopardize the case. Olivia threatened to do worse if Ronnie didn't get Dante reassigned. Olivia argued that Dante's undercover work was a conflict of interest because she had ties to Johnny and Sonny. Ronnie laughed at Olivia's suggestion that Dante would be influenced by his mother's love life. He pointed out to Olivia that Dante knew what he wanted. Dante was the type of person who would stop at nothing to achieve his goals. At the Jacks residence, Carly was reluctant to agree to Morgan's request to go to the Yankees game with Dominic. While Morgan, Carly, and Dominic discussed it, Jax walked in. Jax apologized for not being able to take Morgan to the game because of a business meeting. Morgan revealed that he had invited Dominic to go with him. Jax wondered how Morgan knew Dominic. Jax bristled when Morgan revealed that Dominic had been the man who held Carly, Morgan, and Michael hostage and then later went to work for Sonny. Jax decided that he could take Morgan to the game, after all. As soon as Morgan left the room, Jax turned his attention to Dominic. He made it clear that he knew what Dominic did for a living. Jax informed Dominic that he wasn't permitted anywhere near Morgan. Jax couldn't stop Sonny from visiting the boys, but he could restrict Dominic's access to them. Carly supported Jax's decision. She instructed Dominic to call them the next time Morgan tried to make plans with him. Dominic understood Jax and Carly's concern. Before he left, Dominic told Jax that Morgan was a great kid; he suggested that Jax spend a little more time with him. Jax defensively asked if Dominic was trying to advise him on how to be a father. Dominic clarified that he just knew what it was like to grow up without one. Dante entered the laundromat while Ronnie continued folding laundry. Ronnie was in a foul mood because of Olivia's interference in their case. Dante was furious when Ronnie told him that Olivia had called their boss to arrange a meeting with Ronnie in order to petition that Dante be reassigned. Ronnie was tempted to give in to Olivia's demands before she hurt their case. Dante promised to talk to his mother about her behavior. Ronnie made it clear that if Olivia continued to jeopardize their investigation, he would pull Dante off of the case. Dante went to Olivia's apartment. Olivia refused to apologize for trying to protect her son. While she finished getting ready for her date, Dante accused Olivia of trying to protect Johnny and Sonny rather than him. Olivia denied it; she insisted that Sonny was a violent and dangerous man who wouldn't hesitate to destroy his enemy. Dante was well aware of what Sonny was capable of; it was the reason that Dante was trying to put Sonny behind bars. Dante made it clear that he intended to do his job. 8/17 Johnny went to see Sonny at home. Sonny was not pleased to learn that Dominic had been arrested. He told Johnny that Johnny was the senior man and that it was his job to look out for Dominic Johnny said that Dominic had seemed almost anxious to be arrested, but that he had done a good job of being cool under pressure. Sonny put in a call to Dominic. He got voice mail and left a message telling Dominic to go to his house right away. Dante was with Olivia and they were reading each other the riot act. Dante refused to give up his undercover work, and Olivia refused to return to Bensonhurst. Olivia listed all her reasons for staying in Port Charles, and Dante gave all his reasons for being an undercover cop and busting the Corinthos organization. They were at an impasse when Dante picked up his message from Sonny. Before leaving, he implored Olivia to ask Jax to give her a job at another of his hotels, perhaps the one in Canada. Dominic showed up at Sonny's and Sonny chastised him for taking the fall for Johnny. Sonny said that he did not like to see his people arrested and, as a senior employee, Johnny should have taken the fall. Dominic said that if he had let Johnny get arrested, he would not have been able to impress Sonny. Sonny said that he was not impressed. Dominic said that the cops had been tipped and since it was a Zacchara drug shipment, he thought he had a better chance of getting off than Johnny did, especially since the cops had nothing on him. Sonny accepted his explanation, but told Dominic that he expected him to work with Johnny and get along with him in the future. He then told Dominic to have Bernie set up a meeting with the South American partners in Mexico City. Dominic asked if that was so Sonny could check up on the search for his children. Sonny agreed that it was. After offering hope that Jason would be back with the teens before the meeting, Dominic left to take care of business with Bernie. 8/18 At Sonny's house, Dominic tried to leave, but Olivia insisted that he stay and listen as she told Sonny the truth. Olivia told Sonny that they had no future or present and she wanted him to leave her alone. Sonny warned her to be careful of what she wished for. Olivia was adamant that she wanted nothing to do with Sonny, especially since she was with Johnny. Sonny tried to get her to say out loud what was going on with Johnny, but Olivia couldn't do it, especially with her son in the room. Sonny reminded Olivia that she would have to communicate with him, especially since she was the president of the charity in Michael's name. Before she stormed out of the house, Olivia insisted that everything be kept professional. Once Olivia was gone, Sonny apologized for Dominic having to witness Olivia's behavior. She just hadn't realized what she really wanted yet. Dominic said he thought Sonny was delusional, but Sonny said he was just reading between the lines. Dominic said he was reading the actual lines, though. Sonny was a married man and he was hitting on a woman who had already told him to stop. Sonny didn't look very happy as Dominic left. 8/20 Ronnie was annoyed when Olivia marched into the laundromat with a determined stride. Olivia immediately launched into another round of demands. She expected Ronnie to send Dante back to Bensonhurst. Ronnie warned Olivia that she had to stop showing up at the laundromat; she was compromising their operation. As if to illustrate Ronnie's point, Carly strolled in. Carly had been on her way to the hospital and had noticed Olivia enter the laundromat. Olivia struggled for a plausible explanation, but failed. Ronnie claimed that he and Olivia knew each other from Bensonhurst and that they had been arguing about subletting Olivia's apartment. Carly smiled, but didn't comment. Later, Olivia found Kate crying in Jax's office. Concerned, Olivia asked Kate what was wrong. Kate wiped away her tears as she confessed that she had jeopardized her career by lying. Olivia wondered what Kate had lied about. Kate confessed that it wasn't important; the point was her lie had caught up with her. Kate urged Olivia to tell Sonny and Dante the truth. Kate believed that Sonny and Dante had a right to know that they were father and son. Olivia didn't think that there was anything to be gained by revealing the truth. Kate disagreed; she wondered what would happen if Dante were ever in a position where he had to arrest Sonny. Kate feared that things would end in tragedy if Sonny and Dante remained in the dark about their connection to each other. Kate implored Olivia to tell Sonny that Dante was his son. Neither Olivia nor Kate realized that Jax stood outside of the office and had overheard the exchange between the cousins. Jax made his presence known moments later. When they were alone, Jax stopped her; he confessed that he knew Dante was Sonny's son. Jax was curious how long Olivia thought she could keep her secret. Rebecca woke up in bed with a vicious hangover. When she looked around the room, she spotted Dominic sitting in a chair, working out some kinks in his neck. Rebecca questioned what Dominic was doing in her room. Dominic clarified that they were in his room. Horrified, Rebecca wanted to know if they'd had sex, but she couldn't finish the sentence. Dominic played around a bit, but ultimately let her know that they'd just slept, nothing more. Rebecca was relieved. She gratefully accepted Dominic's offer to buy her breakfast. Nikolas' good humor fled when he spotted Dominic and Rebecca standing near the stairwell. He asked Molly to fetch some syrup and then he approached Rebecca. Nikolas commented that it appeared Rebecca hadn't wasted any time moving on to someone new. Neither Rebecca nor Dominic responded as Nikolas returned his table. Dominic offered to help out if Rebecca ever wanted to make Nikolas jealous. Rebecca smiled her appreciation, but she didn't take him up on the offer. Lulu went to General Hospital to seek help for a sticky situation. Lulu had glued her hand to her hair. When Patrick suggested cutting her hair, Lulu shrieked, "No!" It would have required Lulu to get a buzz cut, because her hand was practically glued to her scalp. Lulu waited in the lounge while Robin went to look for something that might help. Dominic was concerned when he saw Lulu holding her head, as if it were injured. Lulu was reluctant to tell him the exact nature of her problem, but Dominic quickly figured it out. He was sympathetic with her plight; Dominic had his own horror story to tell about the pitfalls of playing with glue. Dominic turned serious as he confided that Lucky had arrested him. Dominic explained that he had been released on a technicality, but he had wanted Lulu to know, because Lucky was livid about the release. Dominic revealed that he didn't want the incident to affect his relationship with Lulu. Lulu clarified that they were not involved. As Matt walked toward them, Dominic invited her out for a date. Lulu lied; she claimed that she had plans with Matt. Luckily for Lulu, Matt covered for her. A short time later, Matt escorted Lulu to an operating room. He had found a bottle of solution, which would allow her to unglue her hand without sacrificing her hair. Dominic entered the bar. As Dominic joined Johnny for a drink, Johnny commented that Dominic seemed to have known that the drug bust was about to happen. Dominic admitted that it had been odd the way the police had shown up. Johnny fired a few questions at Dominic, which he managed to answer to Johnny's satisfaction. With business concluded, Dominic asked Johnny about Lulu. After Johnny confirmed that he and Lulu were over, Dominic asked about Johnny's relationship with Olivia. Johnny confessed that Olivia knew things that Lulu never would. Dominic took offense to Johnny's tone and punched him. 8/21 At Jake's, Johnny tested his tender jaw. He wondered why Dominic had punched him. Dominic informed Johnny that he didn't appreciate men talking disrespectfully about women. Johnny clarified that he had been complimenting Olivia, not insulting her. Johnny decided to return the favor by punching Dominic. Dominic took it in stride; after he recovered, Dominic and Johnny resumed drinking. Johnny admitted that he thought Lulu deserved better than someone like Dominic. He told Dominic that Lulu enjoyed excitement, but not danger. Dominic appeared reflective as Johnny sipped his drink. Johnny switched gears to ask Dominic whom he was loyal to: Sonny or Anthony. Dominic made it clear that he was on Sonny's side of the mob war; however, he did question Johnny's loyalties. Johnny confessed that he despised Anthony. The admission prompted Dominic to reveal that he'd grown up without a father, so he had no idea what it was like to be in Johnny's position. In Jack's office, Olivia was momentarily speechless when Jax revealed that he knew Sonny was Dante's father. Olivia wanted to know if she could trust Jax to keep her secret. Jax promised her that he would honor her wishes, because Olivia had had done the same for him when he had learned about Jerry's involvement in Michael's shooting. Jax confessed that he admired Olivia for choosing to keep Sonny out of Dante's life. Olivia admitted that Sonny made great kids; it was a shame that he would never know what a wonderful son Dante was. However, it was for the best. Jax agreed, provided that Dante and Sonny weren't on a collision course with each other. Olivia remained silent. Jax wondered if it had occurred to Olivia that Dante might be assigned to a case involving Sonny. Jax suggested that perhaps Olivia should tell Dante and Sonny the truth, in case they ever crossed paths. Olivia insisted that she couldn't risk it. She had always feared that Dante would follow in his father's footsteps. She was thrilled when he had announced that he wanted to go into law enforcement. Olivia admitted that Dante was a lot like his father. Both men were daring and stubborn. According to Olivia, Dante and Sonny were two sides of the same coin. The qualities that made Dante a great cop made Sonny a clever criminal. Olivia didn't want anyone, especially Carly, to know the truth. She feared how Sonny and Dante would react to the news. Olivia explained that if Carly ever found out, she might feel that Sonny had a right to know about his son. Jax assured her that he would keep her secret, but he warned her that Carly had a way of stumbling onto the truth. Dominic was enjoying an ice cream sundae at Kelly's when Morgan and Carly entered. Morgan ran up to his grandfather, asking for ice cream. Dominic turned to show Morgan his sundae. While Morgan waited for Mike to make him an ice cream sundae, Dominic went to a table. After Morgan was handed his treat, he joined Dominic. Carly walked up moments later with a spoon in hand. While Dominic and Morgan talked baseball, Carly helped herself to some of Morgan's sundae. The three were chatting when Olivia entered. Olivia was stunned to see her son hanging out with Carly and Morgan. All eyes turned to Olivia when she dropped her purse. Dominic jumped up to help Olivia, which provided her with an opportunity to ask her son if he was using Carly and her son to get to Sonny. Dante was offended by his mother's question. He whispered, "Of course not. Why don't you lighten up?" As Dominic returned to the table, Olivia excused her odd behavior by claiming that she'd had a bad day. Carly asked if Olivia had argued with Dante again. Olivia looked pointedly at her son while she answered Carly, "Sometimes Dante doesn't have the sense that God gave lice." Dominic turned to Morgan to offer him some sage words about mothers. He advised Morgan never to tick off Carly because Morgan would never hear the end of it. However, Dominic added, mothers always forgave their children. Dante looked to his mother for confirmation. Surprisingly, Olivia replied, "Not always." At the same moment Jax entered Kelly's. He appeared deep in thought as he watched Olivia and Dominic. 8/24 Dominic was at Kelly's talking to Carly and Morgan when Olivia came in. She was flustered to see them together. She was sitting by Dominic when Jax appeared. He noticed the resemblance between Olivia and Dominic and Olivia noticed him noticing. She quickly made an excuse about a remembered appointment and hustled Jax away from Kelly's and back to the hotel. Mike came over to the table and Morgan gave him a souvenir from Yankee stadium. Mike wanted to show off some Yankee memorabilia and Dominic was all set to go along with Morgan and Mike, but Carly preferred that Dominic stay with her. Carly told him that Morgan felt comfortable with him because he worked for Sonny. She wanted to know why a nice guy like Dominic worked for Sonny. She told him she was concerned for him and thought he could do much better than being a gangster. He told her that he had started something and he would not quit until he finished it. He asked her how she came to have children with Sonny and she told him her story as well. Carly seemed to genuinely like Dominic but could not understand his lifestyle choice. When Morgan asked Dominic to take him to Sonny's so he could deliver his present to Sonny, Carly was about to say no. Jax interfered and said that he thought it would be just fine for Dominic to take Morgan to Sonny. Carly was very surprised. After Dominic left with Morgan, Carly wanted to know why Jax had changed his mind about Dominic. Sonny was alone when Dominic and Morgan arrived. Sonny was excited about the pennant that Morgan had brought him. He asked questions about the new stadium, which both Dom and Morgan answered. They discovered that they all had a longstanding, fervent interest in the Yankees. They were amazed to also discover that when they played baseball, they all played shortstop. 8/25 At Sonny's house, Morgan excitedly told his father about the Yankees game he had attended with Dominic. Claudia walked downstairs and revealed that she was also a Yankees fan. They talked about going to the World Series, if the Yankees were able to make it that far. Dominic and Morgan were disgusted with the lack of faith that Sonny had, and they all had a chuckle over the two die-hard fans. When Dominic and Morgan arrived at the Jacks house, Morgan was still brimming with excitement. He told Jax and Carly about Claudia being a baseball fan. He said Michael had been right about Claudia being a cool stepmother. Morgan also said that Sonny was going to get World Series tickets for everyone, including Michael. Morgan was sure that his brother would be home in time for the game. When Morgan discovered he had left his pennant at Sonny's house, Dominic offered to retrieve it, and quickly left. Dominic, after returning for Morgan's pennant, overheard the entire conversation between Sonny and Claudia. He immediately drove to Olivia's apartment, where she reminded him that he was going to blow his cover if he kept showing up at her place. After Dominic told his mother about Sonny's conversation with Claudia, Olivia tried to keep the hurt from showing. Dominic thought it was best if Olivia returned to Bensonhurst, but Olivia pushed that idea aside and ushered her son out of her apartment. 8/26 When Lulu joined them, Ethan revealed that he wanted to wipe the slate clean. Ethan explained that he had been Rebecca's partner and that they had planned to swindle money from the Quartermaines and Nikolas. Ethan insisted that the money would have been Rebecca's if she had not been given up for adoption. Lulu was stunned by the revelation. She was also surprised by Tracy's lack of reaction. Tracy admitted that Rebecca had already confessed everything to the Quartermaines after Nikolas had learned the truth. Tracy accused Ethan of getting "pissed" and then ratting Rebecca out after he had realized that Rebecca had fallen in love with Nikolas. Lulu was outraged that Ethan had helped Rebecca to exploit Nikolas' love for Emily. Lulu turned her back on Ethan, determined to wash her hands of him. Dominic's sudden appearance blocked Lulu's exit. DVD #1B While Dominic tried to charm Lulu into accepting a date with him, Tracy asked Ethan to intervene. Tracy acknowledged that Lulu had a penchant for bad boys, so she was willing to work with Ethan to keep Lulu away from Dominic. Ethan decided to distract Dominic by challenging him to a card game. Lulu opted to stay at the casino when Dominic accepted Ethan's offer. As Lulu watched the game unfold, Tracy approached her. Tracy noticed that Lulu's eyes were glued to Dominic. Lulu claimed that Dominic liked to flirt with her, but she insisted that she wasn't interested in him. Lulu added that she simply didn't want Ethan to take advantage of Dominic. After Ethan won the card game, Lulu marched up to her brother. She quickly revealed the hidden card that Ethan had tucked up his shirt sleeve. Dominic appreciated Lulu's honesty. As Lulu started to leave, Dominic followed her. He offered to show Lulu his appreciation by taking her out for an ice cream sundae. When Lulu turned down Dominic's invitation, Dominic suggested a kiss to repay Lulu for her kindness. Lulu informed Dominic that she would never kiss him. Dominic accused Lulu of being afraid. Lulu denied it, but Dominic refused to believe her. Lulu played into Dominic's hand when she decided to prove him wrong by kissing him. Olivia was frustrated as she left Ronnie a voicemail message. She warned Ronnie that he couldn't avoid her forever, even though he had found another place to secretly meet Dante. Olivia promised that she would find Ronnie, and his dirty laundry; she refused to stop hounding him until Dante had been reassigned. 8/27 Dante broke into Sonny's home. While he searched Sonny's desk, he heard people approaching. Dante snatched up a piece of paper, tucked it away, and was about to slip out the back door when Max and Diane entered. Max tossed Diane onto the sofa and then drew his gun before Dante could make good on his escape. Dante managed to convince Max that he had an appointment with Sonny, but had gotten the times mixed up. After Dante left Greystone Manor, he met Ronnie at a laundromat. Ronnie reviewed the information that Dante handed to him. Ronnie thought it was enough to intercept one of Sonny's shipments and possibly grab a couple of Sonny's lieutenants, but it wouldn't help take down Sonny, which was the whole point of their operation. Ronnie worried that Dante might lose sight of their goal. He explained to Dante that people started seeing criminals as friends when they worked undercover for a long time. Ronnie admitted that he was concerned because Dante had spent quite a bit of time with Morgan. Ronnie worried that Dante might be reluctant to take Sonny away from Morgan because Dante knew what it was like to grow up without a father. Dante assured Ronnie that he wasn't going soft. He hoped that seeing Sonny's downfall would inspire Morgan to avoid a life of crime. 8/28 Maxie arrived at Crimson in high spirits until she discovered that she had missed her first editorial deadline. Maxie scrambled to get it in, but was sidetracked when Lulu discovered an online article about Giselle's arrest for cooperate fraud. Lulu and Maxie worried that Giselle might reveal that she had been blackmailing Kate. As if conjured by their thoughts, Kate strolled into the office. Kate was in a surprisingly good mood, so the girls debated whether or not to ruin Kate's day by warning her about Giselle's arrest. Lulu and Maxie decided that they didn't have a choice; Kate needed to be prepared for the worst. They marched into Kate's office, resolved to break the news to Kate together. Maxie opted to lead by confessing that her article had been submitted late, but Kate beat her to the punch. Kate revealed that she had just received a call to inform her that Maxie's editorial had been a half an hour late. Shockingly, Kate was forgiving. She warned Maxie not to let it happen again. Lulu and Maxie tried to muster up the courage to tell her about Giselle. However, when they were on the verge of spilling the beans, Kate asked them to gather as much information about Giselle's arrest as they could. Kate confided that she and Jax had worked together to orchestrate Giselle's downfall. Maxie and Lulu were impressed, especially when Kate led them to believe that it had been planned from the very beginning. Kate also revealed that she had been aware for some time that they had known about Giselle's blackmail. Kate appreciated Lulu and Maxie's efforts to protect her and the magazine. She promised to remember their loyalty. Lulu and Maxie breathed a sigh of relief once they had returned to their desks. Moments later, Kate stepped out of her office and then began barking orders in her usual manner. 8/31 Dante went to Olivia's apartment where they continued their ongoing argument. Olivia wanted Dante to leave his undercover work and Dante refused. She told him to get out of town or she would force him out. He asked her what kind of man he would be if he bailed on his job because his mother told him to. He told her he was in too far to back out. They agreed to disagree. Dante told Olivia that he would be careful, and Olivia said that she would not interfere for the time being. Claudia went to see Johnny. She was livid after finding out that Kristina was responsible for the accident and that Alexis and Sonny were going to cover it up. She vented her rage about her baby's death to Johnny. Sonny was having a talk with Dominic when Carly and Jax walked in. Sonny said he was glad to see them because he had decided to assign Dominic as the guard for Michael and Morgan. Dominic was floored. Jax protested that Michael would not like it. Sonny thought that since Morgan liked Dominic so much, Michael would, as well. When he said that Dominic would be like an older brother to the boys, Jax's eyes popped open in surprise. When Carly appeared uncertain about Michael's response, Sonny said they would wait until Michael got home to decide. 9/2 At the Jacks residence, Michael was surprised when Carly and Jax announced that Sonny had assigned Dominic to protect Michael and Morgan. Morgan was delighted with the arrangement, but Michael refused to have a bodyguard watch over him. Dominic asked to speak privately to Michael. After everyone cleared out, Dominic reminded Michael that Sonny had dangerous enemies. Dominic also believed that Morgan would follow Michael's lead. If Michael refused to have a bodyguard, then Morgan would likely object. Michael admitted that Dominic had a point. However, Michael was distracted because he had a sense that his conversation with Dominic wasn't as private as he had hoped. When Michael dared his family to show themselves, Carly and Morgan stepped forward from different hiding spots. Neither Carly nor Morgan apologized for their behavior. When Jax returned to the living room, Michael announced that he would accept Dominic as a bodyguard. Carly smiled while Morgan whooped with joy; Morgan was excited because Dominic would be attending the carnival with them. Olivia was not pleased to find Dante standing on her doorstep. She warned Dante that he couldn't keep dropping by unannounced. Olivia worried that Dante would cross paths with Sonny or Johnny. Dante appeared unconcerned as he made himself comfortable on the sofa and then casually revealed that he'd been assigned to protect Michael and Morgan. 9/3 At Kelly's, Dominic ran into Lulu and asked what time he should pick her up for the carnival. Just as Lulu was turning Dominic down, Matt walked in and also asked if Lulu would like to attend the carnival with him. Matt, embarrassed, realized that Dominic was also there to ask Lulu out. Lulu ended all of Matt's embarrassment when she accepted his offer to attend the carnival. Dominic smiled, defeated but not dejected. Lulu immediately rushed to the hospital and confided in Carly and Olivia about her new crush, Dominic. Olivia immediately started coughing when she heard the name, and tried to make excuses to leave. When Dominic showed up, he put on his usual charm, but Lulu accused him of following her. Dominic said it was just fate, but Lulu ended up leaving and allowed Olivia a chance to lecture Dominic. 9/4 Dominic, Michael, Morgan, and Molly arrived at the carnival. Michael had an uneasy feeling, but brushed it off in order to enjoy the day. As they made their way through the carnival, they met up with Sonny and Claudia. Claudia resented Dominic's presence; she managed to quickly persuade Sonny to dismiss him, so that they could enjoy some time together as a family. Patrick sat on the bench in the dunking tank waiting for Robin to hit the target. To Robin's frustration, she had failed to dunk Patrick. When Lulu and Matt came along, they tried their hand at throwing a ball at the target, but without success. Max was the next person to make an attempt to dunk Patrick; like the others, Max failed. Eventually, Sonny and the children approached the booth. Molly was confident that she knew how to dunk Patrick. Michael doubted her ability, but Sonny didn't. He bought Molly an opportunity to test her theory. Molly dunked Patrick on her first try. Soon Johnny, Dominic, and Ethan took turns sitting on the bench while Molly successfully struck her target with each throw. Everyone laughed while they cheered on Molly. Lulu was in the hospital's lounge, waiting for Matt, when Dominic stepped off of the elevator. Dominic commented that he had seen her at the dunking booth. Lulu smiled in remembrance. Moments later, Matt approached. Matt apologized and then explained that he had to work because of a staff shortage. Lulu assured Matt that she understood. After Matt walked away, Dominic looked at Lulu with an expectant smile. 9/8 At the carnival, Dominic and Lulu approached Alice's game. Dominic wanted to give it a try, but Lulu told him the cards were always stacked in favor of the house. It was something she had learned when she was five years old. Dominic was surprised Lulu had learned anything about gambling when she was only five, but he offered her a deal. If he could ring the bell, she had to stay with him at the carnival and try to have some fun. If Dominic didn't ring the bell, Lulu could leave. Dominic approached Alice and bribed her to make sure he hit the bell. Alice thanked him and stepped away, and Lulu tried to give Alice money to make sure Dominic didn't ring the bell. Alice took her money and walked away, leaving for a break and allowing Mercedes to take over. As it turned out, Dominic didn't need a bribe and won a stuffed animal for Lulu. She thanked him for the platypus, and he didn't know what she was talking about. When she said duck, he understood, though. He told her she didn't need to use fancy words, even if smart girls did impress him. When Dominic's phone rang, he apologized and left to answer it. While Lulu was alone, Johnny approached her and complimented her stuffed beaver. Lulu said it was a platypus, but Johnny asked who could tell with a stuffed animal. Lulu told him girls could always tell what kind of stuffed animal they had. Dominic approached them and apologized to Lulu. He had to go to the warehouse; it was one of the bad things about being the low man on the totem pole. Johnny offered to go in his place, and Dominic thanked him and said he owed him. Johnny said no, because he owed it to Lulu. Dominic ran into Sonny and Olivia, and the Olivia became nervous and tried to escape. Sonny reminded Dominic that he was supposed to be watching Sonny's kids, though, so Dominic was quick to make his exit. In jail, Anthony Zacchara told his visitor that he wanted every one of Sonny's warehouses hit. Anyone who got in the way also needed to be dealt with, starting with their old henchman, Dominic. The hit would take place right away, during the carnival. 9/9 At the carnival, the fortune-teller warned Lulu, "Something wicked this way comes." Edward got in his car and as Edward put the car in reverse, he started coughing. He continued backing out and started towards the carnival. Suddenly, Edward grabbed at his chest, obviously experiencing chest pains. He passed out and slumped onto the steering wheel, and his foot pressed down on the accelerator. The car crashed through the carnival and mowed down people and rides in its wake. One of the first causalities was Andrea Floyd. Max was also injured as he pushed a woman out of the way from the oncoming car. As Morgan stood frozen watching Edward's car careen toward him, Dominic sprang into action. He managed to shove Morgan to safety before Edward's car hit Dominic. Olivia raced to her son's side when she realized that he had been injured. Dominic insisted that he was fine, but it was apparent that Dominic had been gravely hurt. Sonny found Olivia's concern for Dominic curious. Olivia managed to explain it away while she watched the paramedics work on her son. Before Dominic was taken away, Sonny thanked Dominic for saving Morgan's life. After Robin had determined that Molly had only suffered minor scrapes and bruises, she asked that Lulu keep an eye on her in the event that Molly started to show signs of shock. Lulu decided to take Molly to the cafeteria. Molly was grateful for Lulu's company. Patrick was concerned about Dominic's injuries but Dominic continued to downplay them. Dominic refused to cooperate when Patrick asked Dominic for the name of a family member to contact. Dominic claimed that he didn't want his mother to worry about him. Dominic was also bothered by the number of people waiting for an update on his condition, so Patrick offered to send everyone away. After Patrick left, Morgan entered the examination room to talk to Dominic. Dominic tried in vain to hide that he was having difficulty breathing. Morgan thanked Dominic for saving his life, and then offered to give Dominic his New York Yankee helmet. Dominic wanted Morgan to hang on to it. Moments later, Dominic was seized by a coughing fit that produced blood. Sonny was stunned when he approached Olivia while she was saying some Hail Marys for Dominic. Sonny questioned Olivia's concern for a man that she barely knew. Olivia appeared to panic for a moment until Sonny unwittingly provided Olivia with a logical excuse. Sonny suspected that Dominic reminded Olivia of Dante. Moments later, Patrick emerged from Dominic's examination room. Sonny immediately offered to cover all of Dominic's medical expenses. Patrick appreciated the assurance; however, he was more interested in contacting Dominic's family. Patrick explained that Dominic was bleeding internally, but they were unable to determine the source of the injury. Spinelli was in the line of fire when Anthony's men ambushed him at a warehouse. Luckily for Spinelli, Johnny was on hand to save him. As the Zacchara men sprayed the warehouse with bullets, Johnny and Spinelli ducked for cover. 9/10 Lulu approached and wanted an update on Jake. Jason told her that the doctors had told them to just wait. Lulu told Jason that it was awful that Edward was driving the car. Jason was surprised to find out that his grandfather had caused the accident. Lulu said that she'd heard that Edward had suffered a heart attack and was in emergency surgery. Sam said that was awful and asked Jason if Edward knew that Jake was Jason's son. He said no. Sam said that it was good, because she thought that Edward would be very upset to know that he hurt his great-grandson. Lulu walked inside the room and watched as Liz and Lucky sat with Jake. Patrick told Sonny and Olivia that they needed to contact Dominic's relatives because he needed surgery and a kidney transplant. Sonny said that he would handle contacting Dominic's mother. Olivia said that she would handle contacting the mother instead. Sonny said that Dominic had saved Morgan, so he should do it. Then he asked Olivia if she had a problem with him finding Dominic's mother. Patrick told Dominic about the seriousness of his condition and said that his family needed to be contacted. Dominic urged Patrick to just leave it alone. Olivia told Sonny that Dominic's mother might not know that he was in the business. Sonny said that she might be upset, but at least she could help her son. He called Bernie and said to get back to Sonny about Dominic's contact information. Lulu ran into Nikolas and told him that Jake was fine. He did not know that Jake had been hurt. She explained that Jake was spending the night at the hospital, but was going to be fine. Nikolas asked if Elizabeth was okay. Lulu said that Lucky and Liz were okay. Nikolas said that he would go check up on them. Olivia went to Dante's room to check on him. He told her to leave so that she would not blow his cover. Patrick listened outside the room as Olivia talked about Dante being her son. She told Dante that she was going to save him, even if she had to tell the doctors that Dominic Pirellidid not exist and that he was her son, Dante. Dante said that Olivia could not tell anyone about him being her son. Patrick continued to listen at the door. Dante told his mother that she had to keep Sonny from finding out that Dante was undercover, or Dante would be dead even sooner. Patrick walked away. Olivia told Dante that if he needed a kidney, then they had a lot of relatives that could help him. Dante wanted her to keep quiet until they found out if he needed the kidney, but she would not promise him. She only promised that she would not let him die. Olivia prayed in the chapel for Dante. She asked God to give her a sign about how she should handle the situation with Dante. She said that all her choices would put Dante in danger, so she turned it over to God. Lulu went to Dominic's room and told him that he was a hero. He continued to flirt with her, and asked her if she felt sorry enough for him to go out with him. She thanked him for saving her cousin, Morgan. Dominic had a very bad cough. He tried to downplay his pain and said he would be out of the hospital in no time, because he was a quick healer. Lulu told him that the day he got out of the hospital, she would go out with him, anywhere he wanted to go. Patrick went to see Dominic and told him that his mother needed to tell his father about him. Dante said that his mother did not even know who his father was. Sonny entered the chapel and told Olivia that the nun from their old church would be proud of them praying. Olivia told him that she had been looking for a sign, and at that moment she knew what she had to do. 9/11 In Dominic's hospital room, Patrick tried to persuade Dominic to allow him to contact Dominic's family in the event that Dominic needed a transplant. Dominic refused to consider it. Sonny entered the hospital's chapel to find Olivia in tears and praying. As Sonny sat down next to Olivia, he asked her who she had been praying for. Olivia confessed that she had been praying for Sonny's son. Olivia quickly clarified that she had meant Morgan and Michael. She also admitted that she had been praying for Dominic. Olivia felt responsible for what had happened because she had organized the carnival. Sonny accused Olivia of allowing her Catholic guilt to get the best of her. After Sonny left, Olivia convinced herself that it had been God's will that she not break her son's heart by divulging a secret that could blow his life apart. She promised to tell Sonny and Dante the truth if it was necessary. Moments later, Patrick entered the chapel. Patrick mentioned that Olivia had left word with the front desk that she wanted to be kept apprised of Dominic's condition. Patrick wondered why Olivia had an interest in someone she barely knew. Olivia lied; she claimed that she had been in charge of the carnival. Patrick pointed out that lies could cost a patient their life. Patrick added that he didn't judge people; he was Dominic's doctor and therefore needed to know the truth. When Olivia remained silent, Patrick admitted that he knew Olivia was Dominic's mother and that Dominic was Dante. Olivia demanded to know how Patrick had uncovered her secret. Patrick revealed that he'd overheard Olivia and her son talking. Olivia promised to have her brothers, herself, and even Sonny tested if it became necessary; however, she refused to tell Sonny that he was Dante's father until then. Patrick suggested that Sonny had a right to know what was at stake. Patrick reminded Olivia that Dominic's situation was critical. Olivia explained that she had gotten pregnant at the age of 15. She made the choice to keep Dante's paternity a secret for Dante's protection. Olivia promised that if Dante needed the transplant she would shout the truth from the rooftops if she needed to. Sonny went to Dominic's room to thank him for saving Morgan's life. Sonny realized that Dominic might not understand the deep love between a father and his child, but he promised that he would when Dominic became a father. Dominic scoffed at the idea of fatherhood. It was clear that Dominic had a jaded view because of his personal experiences. Sonny confided that Morgan had a talent for sizing up people. He hoped that Morgan grew up to be half the man that Dominic was. Dominic appreciated the praise. As the men talked, Sonny told Dominic about the events that had led to Michael's shooting. He revealed that afterwards, Carly had demanded that Sonny give up his right to his sons. Sonny questioned whether or not that had made his sons safer. Dominic urged Sonny not to turn his back on his sons. Dominic was certain that Morgan would be crushed if Sonny dropped out of his life. Sonny recalled how devastating it had been when Mike had abandoned him at a young age. Sonny wondered if Dominic ever missed his own father. Dominic quietly admitted that he had, but he'd always been careful to hide it from his mother to avoid hurting her. Sonny confessed that he had promised himself that he would never turn his back on his children the way that Mike had done to him. Sonny didn't think there was any excuse for pulling away from one's child. A short time later, Olivia entered the room while Sonny was regaling Dominic with stories about his days in Bensonhurst. Olivia became distinctly uncomfortable when Sonny shared a particular story about Olivia breaking a window at a church in Bensonhurst. When Patrick entered, the mood turned somber. Dominic insisted that he would not undergo a transplant; according to Dominic, he didn't want someone else's organ in him. Patrick announced that he had the test results. 9/14 Ronnie, Dante's friend and superior officer, was talking with Dante about how Dante's heroism had endeared him to Sonny and put him in a position to bring down the mob, but Jason walked in. Dante quickly reverted to his Dominic persona and introduced Ronnie as a friend who had worked for the Zacchara organization. When Ronnie left them alone, Jason told Dominic how grateful he was that Dominic had risked his life to save Morgan's. Jason offered his hand and said that Dominic could call on Jason for anything. Olivia visited Dante and gave him the good news that he would not need a kidney transplant. She told him to rest and try to stop being a cop for one night. He told her that she had been right, that in some ways he wished he could resign from his job, because the more he got to know Sonny and his family, the more he liked them. When Olivia asked him what he would do, he remained firm that he would do his job and take the mob down. Even though he liked them, he said that they were still criminals who must be brought to justice. 9/15 Lulu arrived at Lucky's house to vent about Maxie's obsessive behavior in regards to Spinelli. Lulu couldn't wait for Maxie and Spinelli to get married, but Lulu admitted she had doubts as to whether the marriage would actually take place. Lulu said she might need to move in with Lucky if Maxie and Spinelli didn't tie the knot. Lucky didn't know if that was such a great idea, because it might get crowded. Lulu couldn't believe Lucky would leave his own flesh and blood out on the street. When the full impact of Lucky's statement sunk in, Lulu inquired as to why Lucky's house would be getting crowded. Lucky admitted that he had asked Elizabeth to marry him. Lulu visited Dominic in his hospital room, and he was clearly happy to have her visit him. Lulu told him she was in a cynical mood and decided not to ruin her brother's perception of reality. Lulu felt it was best to just leave Lucky's house, rather than cause grief. Lulu said Lucky and Liz were either destined to be together or destined to fail. Dominic could tell that Lulu felt the couple was destined to fail, but Lulu admitted that cynicism ran in her blood. Dominic changed the subject and told Lulu that Johnny had been shot, as he guarded Spinelli, during the warehouse invasion. He expected her to rush out to Johnny's side, but Lulu said Johnny wasn't her guy anymore. She would always care about him, especially the fact that he saved Spinelli's life. She would relay her thanks to Johnny another time, though. Lulu asked about Olivia, but Johnny said that Ms. Falconeri already knew about Johnny's injuries. Dominic briefly vented to Lulu and said Johnny had no choice but to lead a mob life. It was all he had ever known. Sonny and Anthony were the true losers, because they could have chosen anything but the path towards the mob. Lulu pointed out that Dominic sounded more like someone trying to stop the mob, not work for it. 9/17 Morgan went to visit Dominic in his hospital room. They discussed baseball and Morgan tried to give Dominic his Yankees helmet again. Dominic said that he was honored, but that the hat looked better on Morgan. Morgan asked Dominic to live at his house while he recovered. Dominic knew that Carly and Jax would not want that, but Morgan insisted that they were thinking about it. Morgan said he wanted to show Dominic how to play a video game that he used to play with Michael, but Michael did not have time to play with him anymore. He said that he and Dominic could watch the baseball playoffs together. Morgan left. Olivia arrived and saw Dante with the baseball helmet in his lap. She asked if it was his and said that he had one just like it a long time before. He told her it was Morgan's and that the boy had given it to Dante for good luck. Dante and Olivia reminisced about when he was in Little League. Dante said that he was just thinking about those days when he was talking to Morgan. Olivia said that she did not think that Dante should get that tight with Morgan. He told her that she really would not like that Morgan had invited him to move in. Olivia reminded Dante that Morgan did not know the truth that Dante was an undercover cop trying to put Morgan's dad in prison. Olivia told Dante that he could have been killed if Johnny had not taken his place at the warehouse. She asked him to consider that the Zaccharas could consider him a threat because he switched to working for Sonny. She told Dante that since he was injured, he should take the opportunity to get reassigned. Dante said that he was not going to stop. He would not quit until the Corinthoses and Zaccharas were behind bars. Ronnie went to Dante's room and again told him what a great turn of events saving Morgan could be for their investigation. He told Dante that Dante would be in a prime position to be Sonny's most trusted soldier. Dante said that maybe after Jason he would be. Dante told Ronnie about Morgan's offer for him to move in. Ronnie thought it would be a great idea and that Dante would have more access that way. Dante said that he would not do it and did not want Morgan blaming himself when Dante took Sonny down. Ronnie reminded Dante that he should not be worried about Morgan, and that the only reason he was there was to put Sonny in prison. Sonny walked up behind Ronnie. 9/18 Sonny entered Dominic's hospital room. He was curious why Ronnie was visiting Dominic. Sonny recognized Ronnie as one of the Zacchara henchmen. Dominic vouched for Ronnie; he assured Sonny that Ronnie could be trusted. Ronnie tried to put Sonny's mind at ease, but it was obvious that Sonny didn't trust Ronnie. After Sonny dismissed Ronnie, Dominic promised Sonny that Ronnie wasn't a threat to him. Sonny appreciated Dominic's loyalty to Ronnie; however, he expected Dominic to put his allegiance to Sonny first. Sonny wondered if saving Morgan had been part of a grander scheme to be more than a soldier in Sonny's organization. Dominic admitted that he had hopes of being in a position of power one day, but with Sonny's blessing. Dominic insisted that he had acted on instinct when he had saved Morgan. Sonny appeared to believe Dominic; however he required that Dominic prove himself. Sonny explained his personal code: children were not targeted and drugs were not permitted through the Corinthos territory. Sonny revealed that Anthony didn't have any qualms about hurting children or running drugs. Therefore, Sonny had decided to strike at Anthony from the inside. Sonny intended to use Johnny to control Anthony. Dominic suggested that Johnny wasn't the enemy, but Sonny considered Johnny expendable. He wanted to know if Dominic would be willing to kill Johnny if Sonny gave the order. Without hesitation, Dominic answered, "In a heartbeat." Sonny smiled with satisfaction. As Dominic slowly shuffled his way to a chair, Johnny woke up. Dominic thanked Johnny for saving his life. Dominic realized that if Johnny hadn't gone to the warehouse in Dominic's place, Dominic would have been ambushed. Dominic promised that he owed Johnny a favor; he intended to repay it. Olivia appeared concerned as she spied on her son and Johnny from the hallway. 9/21 Olivia burst in on Dominic and Johnny while they were shaking hands. She read Dominic the riot act because he was in Johnny's room at Mercy instead of his at GH. Johnny said that she was really mad at him. When he smiled at her, Olivia burst into an impassioned speech about how close to losing him she had been and how much she wanted him to recover. Dominic stood by dumbfounded. When the nurse entered the room, Dominic and Olivia were banished to the hall. Dante was disgusted by Olivia's behavior and told her she was clueless. He insisted that Johnny would kill her in a heartbeat. Olivia was firm in her defense of Johnny. She was absolutely sure that Johnny would never harm her. Dante chastised Olivia for being in the middle of his undercover work, and advised her to go home to Bensonhurst. She told him she would when he quit being Dominic and returned there with her. Dominic refused to leave his undercover work unfinished. Olivia softened and worried that his life was in just as much danger as hers. Lulu rounded the corner just as Olivia reached out and gave Dante a motherly caress on the cheek. Neither Dominic nor Olivia explained what Lulu saw. The nurse was leaving, so they ushered Lulu in to see Johnny. Johnny thanked her for visiting. She told him that she knew he had been in the warehouse because he had taken Dominic's duty, so Dominic could stay at the fair with Lulu. Johnny brushed off his good deed. He and Lulu seemed to be in a good place with each other. When Lulu got ready to leave, Dominic asked for a ride back to GH and she gave him one. Lulu took Dominic back to GH. As he tried to get undressed to get back in bed, Epiphany entered the room. She gave him a lecture about leaving the hospital. Dominic asked Lulu to get him some ice cream. She said okay, but not before telling Epiphany that Dominic had asked for help getting undressed. As Lulu left, Epiphany was efficiently relieving Dominic of his clothes. While Dominic waited for Lulu to return, Ronnie stopped in. He had Dante's badge with him to remind Dante about which side he was on. They had a spirited argument. Ronnie wanted hard facts. Dante said that Sonny was definitely planning to strike back, but did not tell Ronnie that Sonny had asked him to whack Johnny. Ronnie accused Dante of holding back, but before he could press further, Lulu returned with ice cream. Ronnie left immediately. Dante tried to make conversation, but Lulu noticed that he was trying to hide something in his hands. She quickly relieved him of it and discovered his badge. 9/22 At the hospital, Lulu wanted to know why Dominic had a badge. Dominic tried to convince her that it was a fake badge that he used to get himself out of situations with police. Lulu said she knew a fake badge when she saw one, and Dominic had a real badge. He admitted his badge was real, but it was stolen. He didn't want to get her into any trouble with her brother, but Lulu wasn't concerned about Lucky finding out. Lulu either accepted Dominic's story about the badge or decided to stop questioning him. They started playing cards until Ethan walked in and interrupted them. He wanted Lulu's help with her brother, Nikolas. Lulu made it very clear that she was spending time with Dominic, and she didn't intend to interfere in Nikolas' problems. Lulu decided to cut the cards with Dominic to determine if she would stay with him or confront Nikolas. If Dominic pulled the higher card, she would continue her evening with him. If Lulu received the higher card, she would attempt to help Nikolas with his issues. Ethan was thrilled to see Dominic pull a three from the stack of cards, but Lulu was even more thrilled when she pulled a two from the stack. After Ethan stomped away, Lulu started to leave, and Dominic found a spare card in her back pocket. Before Lulu walked out the door, she revealed another card, an ace, in her other pocket. 9/23 At Crimson, Maxie told Lulu that Spinelli had found the perfect place for them to get married: Rice Manor. When Maxie prayed for divine intervention, Lulu misunderstood. She assumed that Maxie was concerned about something ruining the wedding. Hoping to cheer Maxie up, Lulu announced that Kate was on her way to Tokyo, so she would be out of town for the wedding. Lulu was startled when Maxie expressed her disappointment. Lulu advised Maxie to talk to Spinelli if she had doubts about getting married. Maxie was resigned to her fate because she refused to hurt Spinelli. Ronnie went to visit Dante in the hospital. Dante accused Ronnie of jeopardizing his cover. Dante explained that his police badge was missing; he was worried that someone could easily trace it back to him. Later, Dante was looking for the badge under the bed when Lulu strolled in. She tossed him the badge as she asked, "Are you looking for this?" Lulu revealed that she had found the badge in her purse. She joked that she should return it to the New York Police Department; however, she left the badge on the table as she exited the hospital room. Jax went to the hospital to invite Dominic to live in his home while he recovered from his injuries. Dominic wondered what the catch was. Before Jax could respond, Sonny sauntered into the room. Sonny asked Jax to leave, so that he could discuss business with Dominic. 9/24 Jax told Sonny that Jax and Dominic were in the middle of something. Sonny said that he would not take long. Jax saw Dominic's badge and covered it up. Jax asked Dominic to seriously consider his offer and said that Morgan looked forward to it. Jax swiped the badge off of the table and put it in his pocket. Jax left and Sonny suggested that Dominic move in with Sonny instead of Carly and Jax. Dominic protested Sonny's suggestion. He told Sonny that he was a terrible houseguest. Sonny told Dominic that Sonny wanted Dominic under his roof so that Sonny could keep an eye on him. Dominic said that maybe he would be better off if he stayed in the hospital. Sonny said that since Anthony had failed to kill Dominic at the warehouse, that Anthony would try harder the next time. Sonny said that since Dominic saved Morgan, Sonny felt responsible to keep Dominic safe. Dominic thanked Sonny for the offer and Sonny left to have the car driven around. Jax reentered the room with the badge. He told Dominic that Dominic had been careless with the badge. Jax threw the badge at him and called him Detective Falconeri. Jax told Dante that he might want to put his badge in a safe place. Jax said that it was no wonder that Dante's mother was worried about him. Dante realized that Jax knew about his situation. He asked Jax to convince his mother to leave town and to fire her if necessary. Jax said that he would not do that. Jax said that Dante was the one who arrived in town after Olivia and that the sooner Dante got Sonny arrested, then the better off they would all be. Dante questioned why Jax wanted Sonny to go down. Jax said that he wanted Sonny to go to prison for the rest of his life. Dante asked him why. Jax said that his family would be safer and that he would do anything to help Dante bring a case against Sonny. Dante asked if Jax had any reservations about what Dante would do to Sonny. Jax said he was worried about what Morgan would think and feel about it. Dante said that he did not want to hurt Morgan, but that it might help Morgan to see that no one was above the law. Dante said that Morgan might get hurt. However, in the end, Morgan might learn a lesson that could save his life. Jax told Dante that he would have more access when he lived with Sonny and that Dante should work fast before someone else found out who he was. Dante interrupted Olivia and Johnny when he called. He pretended to be Dominic on the phone. He thanked "Ms. Falconeri" for the visit she made to his hospital room and informed her that he would move in with Sonny to recuperate. Claudia was in the living room when Dominic arrived. She told him that she wanted him gone. Dominic asked if Claudia was still afraid that he would tell Sonny that she ordered him to kill Jason. Claudia told him that if he threatened her, then she might feel the need to defend herself. Just then, Sonny walked in. He could see the tension between Claudia and Dominic, but she smiled and said that she had welcomed Dominic to their home. Lulu arrived with a bouquet for Maxie. Mac asked Lulu to try to stop the wedding, but Lulu said she could not stand in the way of true love. Sam arrived with Molly and Kristina. Mac continued to protest, and Robin took him aside. Robin asked him not to go off in front of Molly and Kristina. 9/25 Maxie's wedding day started off with a nightmare as Maxie dreamed of her future with Spinelli. In the dream, a serious, self-assured Spinelli checked his weapons while he and Jason prepared to embark on mob-related business. A pregnant Maxie entered the living room, carrying a daughter in one arm while her son ran around playing with a toy machine gun. Maxie was dressed in unflattering maternity clothes while her limp hair was pulled with an ugly barrette. Lulu arrived moments later, looking fabulous. Lulu was the editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine and about to jet off to Paris. Lulu had stopped by to see her godchildren, one of whom was crying inconsolably. Minutes later, Robin and Patrick arrived with Mac in tow. Apparently, Mac had lost his mind when Maxie had married Spinelli. As Mac babbled incoherently, Spinelli announced that he'd had an epiphany. According to Spinelli, he was in love with Lulu. Maxie woke up from her horrible dream to find Robin and Lulu smiling down at her. Robin and Lulu ordered Maxie to rise and shine; it was her wedding day. Maxie confessed that she'd seen her future and it consisted of granny panties and crying children. Lulu and Robin appeared confused, but Maxie didn't elaborate about her dream. Instead, Maxie stood up and then dashed out of the room. Robin and Lulu tried to reassure each other that Maxie would be fine. However, it was clear that they had their doubts. Later, as Robin fussed with Maxie's hair, Maxie confided that she had thought about inviting Felicia to the wedding. In the end, Maxie had decided not to extend the invitation to her mother. Maxie feared that Felicia would attend, which would open old wounds. Maxie didn't want a repeat of the scene during Georgie's funeral to mar her wedding day. Robin and Lulu talked while they waited for Maxie to return from the bathroom. Lulu worried that Maxie was on the brink of freaking out, while Robin admitted that she had expected Maxie to be a nervous wreck. Robin and Lulu were about to hunt down Maxie when Maxie entered the bedroom. Maxie was eager to receive her gifts from her bridesmaids. Robin gave Maxie a handkerchief that Filomena, Robin's grandmother, had carried on her wedding day. Lulu's present was a small clutch purse that had once belonged to famed fashion designer, Coco Chanel. Lulu hoped that one day, when Maxie was famous in the fashion world, she would pay it forward by giving the purse to another bride who would feel equally honored to own something that had once belonged to Maxie. Maxie was deeply touched by the Morgan ran up to Dominic when he spotted him. Dominic revealed that he had decided to recuperate at Sonny's house. Morgan was disappointed, but he understood Dominic's decision. After Morgan walked away, Jax confessed that Dominic had made a wise move. By staying at Sonny's house, Dominic would be in a position to gather evidence to take down Sonny. Dominic asked Jax to keep his voice down; he didn't want anyone to overhear their conversation. Moments later, Olivia and Johnny arrived. As they sat down with Carly and Jax, Carly gave the couple her approval. Johnny appreciated the support. Nearby, Dominic overheard the exchange. He decided to step out onto the patio for fresh air. Lulu was surprised to discover that Dominic was at the wedding, since he barely knew the bride or groom. Dominic claimed that he had wrangled an invitation after he had learned that Lulu was a maid of honor. Lulu smiled as she walked away. Mac arrived to escort Maxie down the aisle. Robin and Lulu offered a few final words of encouragement before they left to give Mac and Maxie a few minutes alone. Spinelli welled up with tears when he saw Maxie enter the drawing room on Mac's arm. She looked radiant as Mac walked her down the aisle. When they reached Spinelli, Mac shook the young man's hand. He made it clear that he was entrusting Spinelli to take care of Maxie. As Father Coates began the ceremony, Maxie and Spinelli gazed deeply into each other's eyes. When it was time to recite their vows, Spinelli spoke first. He told Maxie that he had lost the vows that he had written, so he was left with nothing but the words in his heart. The guests chuckled when Spinelli admitted that he was not like others and that he never had been. Spinelli admitted that he was okay with being different. According to Spinelli, Maxie had understood Spinelli from the moment they had met. Spinelli was profoundly grateful and shocked that she loved him. To Spinelli, that was the most precious gift and one that he never intended to betray. For that reason, Spinelli couldn't marry Maxie. 9/28 Spinelli spoke from his heart when he told Maxie that to prove his love, he would not marry her. Mac fainted from relief. When he recovered, Maxie said her vows. She told Spinelli that she loved him, especially because he put her need not to marry above his need to marry. She told him that she was a better person because of him. She said he was her essential person forever, and that she did want to spend the rest of her life with him and she did want to get married to him--she just wanted to wait. She then vowed to be his non-bride. Getting into the spirit, the priest pronounced them unmarried, and told Spinelli that he could kiss the woman who was not his bride. Maxie and Spinelli shared a joyful kiss. They invited everyone to Jake's for the non-wedding reception. Dominic chatted up Lulu and she agreed to give him a ride to Jake's. Coleman caught Ethan helping himself to a drink at the bar, and told him he had to leave because it was a private party, but Lulu vouched for him and said Ethan was her date. When Dominic wondered what his place was, Lulu rolled her eyes. Maxie and Spinelli arrived. Everyone in the bar applauded them. Coleman offered his congratulations and a toast to the non-married couple. Lulu took Spinelli and Maxie away for pictures. Olivia was distracted when her cousin, Kate Howard, arrived at the party. Dominic, who was talking to Lulu, made an excuse and left Jake's before Kate saw him. Robin announced that it was time for the best man and maid of honor to make toasts to the non-bride and the non-groom. Lulu went first and toasted the happy couple. She said that they had proven their love by not getting married. The crowd cheered when she lifted her glass to them. The crowd waited for Jason to say something, but he was tongue-tied. Morgan took over, saying that he had the same name so he would speak for Jason. Morgan said how courageous both Maxie and Spinelli had been. Spinelli gave up the wedding because of his love for Maxie, and she had been willing to go through with it because of her love for Spinelli. All the onlookers cheered and drank another toast. Olivia tracked Dante to the alley and told him how much danger he would be in if Kate noticed him. He said she would not recognize him because she had not seen him since he was eight years old. Dante told her that she was in danger, also. Olivia told Dante that Johnny would never hurt her, and then stormed off, leaving Dante in the alley alone. Lulu caught up with Dominic in the alley. She was crying a little, but told him she had something in her eye. When he tried to help, she admitted that she was just a little jealous of Maxie's happiness. She wondered if she would ever have what Maxie had. Dominic said no, she would have what she had. Dominic took Lulu's hand and looked in her eyes. He said that he could not speak from experience because he had never been in love himself, but he had it on good authority that love lasted until you were old and gray, and it showed up when you least expected it. Robin announced that Coleman had set up the karaoke machine. Spinelli was eager to sing, but Robin said that the assembled guests were going to sing to Maxie and Spinelli. When the music started, everyone at Jake's serenaded the happy non-married couple with a stirring rendition of "I Want To Know What Love Is." While Spinelli and Maxie danced in front of their friends, Lulu and Dominic danced together in the alley. 9/29 At Jake's, Maxie and Spinelli celebrated their non-wedding with their friends and family. Spinelli invited the guests to serenade the happy couple on the Karaoke machine that Coleman had set up. Initially, no one took to the microphone until Ethan stood up to wow the crowd with his rendition of INXS's "Need You Tonight." Next up were Morgan and Molly, who entertained everyone with their version of the Jackson Five's "ABC." Carly and Alexis beamed with pride as their children sang and danced on the stage. Following Morgan and Molly were the double-trouble duo of Mac and Patrick, who had decided to sing the Village People's "Macho Man." Not to be outdone, Coleman temporarily pulled the plug on the song, so that he could join in on the fun. Everyone clapped with delight as Coleman, Mac, and Patrick gyrated around Jake's, while they sang off-key. Olivia was stunned when she discovered that her son had remained in the bar, despite Kate's arrival. Olivia managed to speak to Dante privately. She warned him that Kate would recognize him if he didn't leave. Dante dismissed Olivia's concerns. He was confident that Kate was too preoccupied with Coleman to notice him. Later, Olivia dragged Kate outside, where Kate demanded some answers. Olivia promised that she would explain everything when Kate was sober. Olivia wanted to focus on getting Kate home safe and sound. Kate refused to budge until Olivia confirmed that Dante was in Port Charles under an assumed name. As drunk as she was, Kate figured out that it somehow involved Sonny. Olivia refused to tell Kate what her son was doing. To Kate, it was an admission that Dominic was Dante, Sonny's child. Claudia lurked around a corner eavesdropping on the revealing conversation between Kate and Olivia. As the guests cleared out of Jake's, Robin and Patrick tried to play matchmaker between Lulu and Matt. Their attempt was transparent, prompting Lulu to decline their offer to hang out with them and play board games. Dominic approached moments later to invite Lulu to another bar. Lulu decided to take a rain check. When she arrived home, Lulu seemed sad as she looked around her empty apartment. As Lulu sat down on her sofa, she noticed that she had received a text message. The message read, "Old man in trouble. Come to Cas." 9/30 Lulu entered the Haunted Star to find Ethan packing for a trip. Ethan claimed that he had grown tired of Port Charles, but Lulu didn't believe him. Lulu found the timing of Ethan's departure suspicious. She reminded him that he had stayed even after Lucky had rejected him, despite Luke's sudden disappearance, and then after the ugly details of his scam with Rebecca had been revealed. Ethan stuck to his story until Lulu confessed that she had received a cryptic message from Luke. Ethan and Lulu compared notes. They found it curious that Luke had sent a text message to each of them when one message would have sufficed. They also questioned whether Luke, who was not tech-savvy, would have sent a text message. Finally, Lulu pointed out that the message didn't sound like their father; she didn't think he would have referred to himself as "the old man" in an urgent message. Ethan confided that he had tracked the message to Greece. Ethan was certain that Helena was behind Luke's disappearance, but Lulu had her doubts. Ethan argued that Luke had dropped out of sight at the same time that Helena had surfaced in Port Charles. Moments later, Lucky entered the casino. He was relieved to see Lulu and Ethan. However, to their surprise, Lucky didn't want to discuss Luke. Lucky was there to invite his siblings to a family barbecue the following evening. After Lucky left, Lulu and Ethan realized that he had not received a message from their father. Lulu speculated that it might be because Luke was hoping to avoid involving the police in whatever mess he had landed. Ethan agreed, but he was doubly determined to track Luke down. Lulu wanted to join Ethan on the search, but Ethan refused to consider it. Ethan didn't want to drag his little sister into a possibly dangerous situation. A short time later, Ethan boarded a plane bound for Greece. He was surprised when Lulu plopped down next to him shortly before the plane departed. Lulu insisted that she had more experience rescuing their father than Ethan did. At the Jacks residence, Michael entered the living room while Carly lounged on the sofa and flipped through a magazine. Carly grumbled when Michael revealed that he had found her stash of junk food. Carly argued that she wanted cheesy chips. Dominic entered while Michael reminded his mother that she couldn't have any cheesy chips until after his little sister was born. Dominic's confession, that he loved cheesy chips, didn't help matters. Michael was curious why Dominic was at the house. Michael balked when Dominic revealed that he was there to accompany Michael to school. Michael refused to have a bodyguard follow him around school. Carly understood Michael's reluctance, but she didn't want Michael driving alone. Dominic suggested that Michael have his freedom during school in exchange for Dominic guarding him at night. Both Michael and Carly agreed to the compromise. After Michael left for school, Carly thanked Dominic for his help. She was impressed with how he treated her sons. Kate entered Metro Court's lobby sporting dark sunglasses. She made a beeline for her cousin, who was working at the reception desk. Kate admitted that she had gotten drunk at Jake's the night before and that things were a bit fuzzy. Olivia chuckled as she joked that Kate had been busy most of the night making out with Coleman. Things turned serious when Kate reminded Olivia that despite her hazy memory, she distinctly recalled seeing Dante at the bar. Olivia warned her cousin of the possible consequences if she revealed Dominic's true identity. Kate assured Olivia that she wouldn't tell anyone. However, Kate worried that Olivia was in denial if she thought that the truth could stay hidden forever. Kate warned her that the situation was much too "incestuous" to remain a secret for long. Olivia agreed that Kate was right; she needed to be prepared with a Plan B in the event that Sonny and Dante learned that they were father and son. Neither woman realized that Claudia had been eavesdropping on their conversation. When Claudia finally approached them, Kate suggested that Claudia go away. Kate insisted that they weren't interested in anything that Claudia had to say. Claudia smiled smugly as she sauntered away, prompting Kate to wonder if Claudia knew the truth about Dante. Moments later, Dante entered the lobby. He pretended that he had important papers for Olivia to sign, but as soon as he reached Kate, he whispered a warning for her to keep her mouth shut. Kate assured Dante that she would never intentionally compromise him. Olivia vouched for Kate. Before Kate left, she offered Dante and Olivia words of advice. She warned them that lies were like dominos; one tipped domino could cause a chain reaction. Claudia skulked in the lobby until she managed to corner Dominic. Claudia resented Dominic's attitude toward her; she threatened to change it. Dominic grew tired of Claudia's cat-and-mouse game. He invited her to do whatever she thought she had to do. Nearby, Olivia listened to the exchange. 10/1 Olivia listened in as Claudia told Dominic that Claudia had something important to tell him. Olivia approached the two and when Claudia saw Olivia, Claudia said that what she had to say was really about Olivia. Claudia tried to antagonize Olivia about Olivia's failure to ensure safety at the carnival. Claudia also goaded Olivia about Olivia's concern for Dominic after the accident. Olivia told Claudia to contact her attorneys if Claudia wanted to file a lawsuit. Then, Claudia suggested that they hold a fundraiser for the victims of the carnival accident. Claudia said that Dominic could be the guest of honor and Olivia could organize the whole thing, since Olivia seemed so concerned about Dominic. Dominic said he did not appreciate Claudia's attempt to use him to get one over on Ms. Falconeri. Claudia continued to question Olivia about her concern for Dominic. Olivia told Mr. Pirelli that she did not need him to fight her battles. Dominic retorted that his issues were between him and Mrs. Corinthos. Olivia said for them to keep their issues out of the hotel then. Olivia walked away and, as Claudia started to leave, Dominic grabbed her and said that they were not finished. Dominic told Claudia to leave Ms. Falconeri alone. Claudia said that she was very interested as to why Dominic was so protective of a woman he barely knew. Claudia left, and Dominic immediately placed a call. He told the person on the other end of the line that they had trouble. Dominic arrived at the restaurant that was in the front room for Sonny's new office since the coffee shop had burned down. Dominic informed the waiter that he was not there to eat, but that he worked for Mr. Corinthos. The waiter told Dominic that the food was good. Dominic informed the waiter that Dominic would spend a lot of time there. Sonny and Jason continued to outline their strategy to find the leak. Dominic knocked on the door and Jason let him into the office. Dominic said he was there because Bernie said that Sonny wanted to see Dominic. 10/2 In Sonny's office, Jason and Sonny told Dominic that there was a leak in the organization. Sonny believed that Dominic was in a perfect position to find the mole. Sonny suspected that the person might be an undercover police officer. Later, Dante arranged a meeting with Ronnie on the piers. Dante was furious because the bust on Sonny's shipment had led Sonny to suspect that someone in his organization was an informant. Ronnie didn't think it was a big deal because nothing had indicated that Dominic was the mole. Dante explained that he'd been ordered to track down the leak. Ronnie shrugged as he suggested that Dante simply choose a name of someone in Sonny's organization. It made Dante uneasy blaming an innocent person. Ronnie reminded Dante that there weren't any innocent people in the organization; they were all criminals. Ronnie worried that Dante might be going soft. Dante denied it; he insisted that he was determined to do his job. Ronnie suggested naming Tommy Soto as the informant. Ronnie explained that they had tried to press charges against Tommy, to no avail. Dante was uncomfortable using the situation to punish someone because they had managed to avoid prosecution. Ronnie didn't think that Dante had much of a choice. If Sonny learned that Dante was the undercover cop, then everyone, including Olivia, would be in danger. Later, Dominic stopped by to name the leak in the organization: Tommy Soto. Claudia pushed her way into Olivia's apartment and then snatched up a picture of Dante as a little boy. Claudia held the picture up as she observed how much Dante resembled his father, Sonny. Olivia's fears were realized when Claudia made it clear that she expected Olivia to do exactly as she instructed, or else she would inform Sonny that his son, Dante, was masquerading as Dominic. 10/5 Dominic met Sonny in his den to tell him that he had uncovered the traitor in the organization. Sonny was very glad and told Dominic that he wanted Dante to kill the traitor, Tommy, immediately. Dominic proposed using Tommy to give false information to the cops, but Sonny wanted him dead instead. When Johnny popped in during their conversation Sonny told him that Dominic had found the traitor. When Sonny asked Johnny if he would kill Tommy, Johnny immediately said yes. Dominic was not pleased. He told Sonny that he would finish the job that he had started, and he would take care of Tommy. Dominic brushed past Johnny on his way out. After Dominic left, Sonny told Johnny that he appreciated Johnny's prompt support. Johnny said that he had always been loyal to Sonny. Sonny told Jason what he had learned from Dominic about the. He asked Jason to check up on Dominic and make sure that he did the job he had been assigned. Jason agreed. Dominic took Tommy out to the woods. When Tommy realized it was a hit, he swore his loyalty to the Corinthos family. Dominic told him that there was only one way out. He told Tommy that he would have to testify against the mob and go into witness protection. Lulu and Ethan arrived in Greece and used subterfuge to gain entrance to a large villa. |
