Jason & Liz #5  June 9 - November 29, 2006 - 8 hours

I included all of Jason & Liz's scenes together during this time frame. They didn't have a lot of storyline together over the summer up until they slept together. After Liz learned she was pregnant, her storyline mostly revolved around her pregnancy and the possibility that Jason might be the father. I did include Liz's pregnancy scenes, finding out, taking the test, going to the doctors, telling Nik, later Emily, Epiphany, ect about her pregnancy and that Jason might be the father. Jason had a lot of separate storyline with Sam, Sonny, Carly that didn't pertain to the Elizabeth storyline and these were not included on this edit. I have done a complete Jason series in the Jason & Sam edits which do include all of Jason's scenes, his entire storyline for any Jason' fans who want it all (the Jason & Sam series does include all of his scenes with Elizabeht, as well as Sam, Carly, Sonny, Rick, ect). So since I had already edited his whole storyline, I decided to condense the Jason & Liz storyline down a bit to focus more on their relationship together. This was a hard one to do, hard to decide how much of Jason's scenes away from Liz to include to tell the story (without completely duplicating the Jason & Sam series), and how much of Liz's separate scenes to include. I did not include much Jason & Sam's scenes together unless Elizabeth was involved (other than Jason tellling Sam about LIz's pregnancy), and I didn't include all of the Liz & Lucky scenes together as that is a separate storyline edit (the Liz & Lucky series will also include all of Liz's scenes, including all with Lucky and Jason during this time frame). So this Jason & Liz edit is a more condensed way of focusing on their storyline, adding in enough of the separate storyline to see the action Jason is involved with but attempting to keep the focus on him and Liz.

Jason arrives in the alley, and tells Stan to leave. He prepares himself to shoot so that his gun will go off in synch with Lucky's shots. The arms dealer comes out from behind the garbage bin when Jason shoots him in the leg. Jason snuck up behind Lucky in the warehouse, shooting the dealer in the leg. Lucky believed that he made the shot, and took control of the scene while Diego begged him to let him free so he wouldn't get caught violating parole. The rest of the police arrived, and Lucky was congratulated for catching the "slimeball" that the force had been after for some time. Diego was led away by the police. Ric stopped by Jason's, revealing he's worried about Sonny and his disturbing behavior. Just as Ric was leaving, Liz walked into Jason's apartment, profusely thanking Jason for helping her out. Once alone, Liz told Jason that Lucky can never know that he wasn't the one who stopped the dealer. Jason understood and couldn't help but critique Lucky's performance that he believes indicates Lucky was under the influence of something as he had horrible aim, had failed to call for backup, didn't follow procedure and fired blindly. Liz can't accept this possibility and makes excuses for him, saying that Lucky would never go on the job under the influence. She realizes she is once again making excuses for him and admits that he is taking some serious pain medication and begins to accept that perhaps he is on drugs. 

Liz asked Jason to tell her everything about the shooting, and after sharing the details, Liz lets Jason know that she is going to confront her husband about the pain medication. While they are talking, one of Jason's men announced that Detective Spencer was there to see him. As Lucky was about to walk in, Liz hid. Lucky asked for any details regarding Sam's shooting. He said that he was going to solve the case because he felt it was the least he could do after Jason saving Liz from Manny. After Lucky left, Liz and Jason went walking at the dock, when Jason asked why Liz felt the need to hide. She let him know that she didn't want to Lucky to know that she had been going to Jason for help. Jason understood, and Liz thanked him for all of his help. As they were walking, Sam bumped into them, and asked what was going on. Liz let her know that she was thanking Jason for doing her a big favor. Sam asked Liz about the details of her surgery and the disagreement between Noah and Patrick. Sam shows up at the hospital and asks Elizabeth if there are any job openings at GH. Elizabeth tries to defend Jason's actions to Sam after she tells Elizabeth that Jason practically threw her out of the penthouse and had her holed up at the hotel for her own safety. Elizabeth also mentions that Justus' murder has made him more determined to keep her away for her own safety. 

Sam is lying in bed at Alexis' about to go to sleep when Manny places his hand over her mouth and tells her not to scream. Then Manny clamped a tattooed hand over her mouth and tied her up in duct tape. Jason arrived home and found Liz was waiting there for him. He ordered an all-out search for Manny. Then he asked Liz for help, since Manny once kidnapped her, maybe she holds the key to finding Sam. Jason tried to convince Liz that in order to save Sam he needed her to relive when Manny had kidnapped her. At first Liz was resistant, because she did not feel that it would help Jason. Jason is concerned that as he recalls her saying that when Manny grabbed her at the hospital that it reminded her of being raped. He doesn't want to bring that back for her. She is just frustrated that she can't remember that night that everything is a blur. Jason explained that it would help him see if there were any weaknesses in Manny's thinking to retrace his steps. The only time Manny has made a mistake has been with Liz. 

Jason and Liz arrive at the hospital where Liz recounted her ordeal. Jason was appreciative of her help, and recognized that it was a difficult thing for her to relive. He was concerned for Sam's safety, and Liz tried to reassure him that Sam was a fighter and would not give up. Jason expressed his concern that Manny was hoping that Jason would make a mistake, and that the one thing that would do that was to hurt Sam. When they returned to the apartment, Jason thanked Liz for helping him. He shared with her that going through the process with her made him realize that Manny was methodic about following through on something, that could make him over confident, and cause him to make a mistake. Sam tried to get away by cutting away the ropes that tied her hands against a wire medicine cabinet. When Manny walked in, he moved her chair away from the cabinet, and told her that she needed to be careful otherwise she would cut her hands. When Sam called him a freak, Manny tore off his shirt, and demanded to know if Sam thought he was a freak because of his tattoos. Manny explained to Sam that Jason and him were similar, that they could look into someone's eyes, kill them, and not feel any remorse. When Sam said that Jason could control his violence, Manny said that kidnapping her would force Jason to be the man he should be, and not hide his true identity. 

Elizabeth arrives at Jason's penthouse to provide him with a timeline of her own kidnapping. She tells Jason that she hopes this will assist him in finding Sam. The PCPD arrive at the penthouse to arrest Jason. When Jason tries to find out the charges, he is informed by Detective Rodriguez that the District Attorney will personally deal with this. Alexis holds a press conference and makes a plea to Manny to allow her daughter to be released. Alexis then tells the public that Jason has been arrested for Escobar's murder and that no bail has been set. She pleads that Jason is not going to be coming to rescue Sam. She reminds Manny that he owes her and begs him to let her daughter go. While at General Hospital, Elizabeth overhears the press conference. She is about to get back to work when she remembers a discussion that she had with Manny about the secret places in General Hospital. Elizabeth goes to the police station to inform Jason that she has remembered something. Jason tells Elizabeth that he needs to find a way to get out of the department. Jason asks for Liz for a bobbie pin and uses it to pick the lock on his handcuffs. He tells her to leave but she insists that he isn't getting out of there without her help. Elizabeth creates a diversion to allow Jason the chance to escape from the police station and later stops Lucky from arresting Jason. As Jason left the main area of the hospital to go look for Sam in the sub-levels of the hospital, Liz begged Lucky not to call for backup. Lucky tried to convince Liz that not calling for backup would most likely mean death for Jason and Sam, Liz convinced him that since Manny had nothing to loose, that if he is cornered by the police that he would hurt or kill Sam and that would kill Jason. Understanding where Liz was coming from, Lucky agreed to go help Jason alone. 

In the sub basement level 3 of General Hospital, Manny informs her that he will be sending Alexis a message that will be tattooed on her skin. Manny warns Sam that he'll kill her if she doesn't cooperate. Jason barged through the door, where Manny had a gun pointed at Sam. As there was a standoff between the two of them, Lucky came in, tried to shoot Manny, who in turn shot Jason. As Manny escaped, Lucky followed after him, and Jason freed Sam. Jason got Sam back up to the main area, and then after some advice from Liz he went to the roof to go after Manny. Once on the roof, Manny overpowered Jason, and had him across the railing. As he tried to convince Jason that they were alike, Jason was able to overpower Manny. As they were fighting, Lucky showed up, shot his gun, and Manny fell to his death. Jason was convinced that he pushed him, while Lucky assumed that his shot hit Manny, which caused him to fall. 

Liz notices Jason's bloodstained shirt and discovers that Jason had been seriously wounded and she calls out for help. Sam freaked when a bloodied and unconscious Jason was wheeled into ER. "You can't die on me now," she screamed. Carly rushed in just in time to learn Jason was in surgery. Sonny entered and apologized to Sam for not getting rid of Manny sooner. "I will never forgive myself," Sonny mumbled. Patrick came out of the OR and announced that Jason's heart had temporarily stopped during surgery. "I'm surprised that he pulled through," noted the doc "He's got a strong heart. He should be fine." Liz thanks Patrick for saving Jason's life. He points out that with the amount of blood he had lost, had LIz not found him when she did that he would be in the morgue! Ephipany gave Liz his personal belongings. Patrick wondered if the wrong person was being lionized for Manny's death. 

Patrick points out that the drug dealer that was shot last month was shot by the same calibur of bullet that Jason's gun uses and it was a different calibur from Lucky's gun. Patrick puzzles that he doesn't understand why Lucky is playing along with the getting the credit as a hero when Patrick thinks it was actually Jason. Now he sees the same thing happening with Manny's death, its all about giving Lucky credit as though Jason wasn't even there. Meanwhile, the coroner tells Alexis that the person who shoved Manny Ruiz off the roof is the person who killed him as he wasn't shot! Alexis tells the coroner to bury the file as Lucky Spencer is on record being responsible for Manny's death and what does it matter anyway as the guy is dead. She says this report is the only proof that Jason is the person who was actually responsible for Manny's death. She orders that the file is buried. 

Jason has a nightmare that he finds Sam's body in the morgue not Manny's and that Alexis is there and shows him a tattoo that Manny wrote on Sam's stomach that says "She's Mine." In the dream Manny is near Sam's body and is laughing and pointing at the tattoo. Jason wakes up suddenly and screams out. Sam is by his bedside comforts him. She tells him she is here now and that he just had surgery to repair a cut artery that made him lose a lot of blood. She assures him that Manny is dead and that everything will be back to normal. Elizabeth stops by to check on Jason and tell him they need to do some tests to see if he has any nerve damage in his right arm. Jason complains that he can hardly move his arm. Patrick comes by and looks at his arm. He says that because he can move it means there probably isn't too much nerve damage. Patrick has him get checked for nerve damage. Sam leaves and Jason is wheeled back into his room later. Elizabeth tends to him and tells him what happened with Lucky getting promoted and everything. Alexis comes by to see Jason and asks to speak to him alone. Alexis tells Jason that she got the autopsy report back and that Manny had no bullet wound and means that Jason killed him not Lucky. Sam returns to his room with coffee to find Alexis talking to him in his room alone. She follows Alexis and overhears her telling Elizabeth that she is just glad that Lucky killed Manny and not Jason or she would have had to arrest Jason for manslaughter. Elizabeth talks to Jason about his arm. She realizes he seems distressed about not being able to move his arm around a lot. She realizes that he uses his right arm to shoot with and that is why he is concerned. Jason tells her he shoots with both of his arms. Sam returns to Jason's room to find Elizabeth there. Patrick comes by to give him the results of his tests. He tells him that his nerve damage isn't bad at all and that he will only need a little bit of physical therapy and he should be as good as new in a few weeks. 

Liz is concerned that Jason left the hospital against medical advice and appeared at the Sonny's door looking for him. Max sent her away as Sonny is in a fragile state. Liz knocked on Carly's door to complain about Jason being at Sonny's because, "he could bleed to death!" Liz tried to convince Carly that Jason needed to return to the hospital, or there was a possibility that he could reopen the wound without even knowing it. Carly questioned Liz's motives for wanting Jason back in the hospital near her. Liz explained the serious consequences of Jason leaving the hospital before healing properly. Liz told Carly that as a best friend Carly should convince Jason to return. Carly listens to Liz and heads over to see Jason. She tells him that he has to get back to the hospital as Liz is running around town saying that he is going to die if he doesn't. Meanwhile, Patrick comes upon Lucky and Maxie kissing down on the dock. Patrick is disgusted with Lucky's behavior and Lucky accuses Patrick of using the information to get close to his wife. 

Jason returned to GH for an appointment with Patrick, and Elizabeth used the opportunity to ask him who really killed Manny. Maxie eavesdropped as Jason recounted the fight with Manny and admitted he didn't see Lucky shoot. He also assured Liz that he would re-evaluate his relationship with Sam after Sonny is squared away. Jason was down on the pier, tying up the loose ends with the Escobar takeover, when Lucky passed by. Lucky let him know that he was on the Escobar murder case, and even though Jason had saved Elizabeth from Manny, he had saved Jason from Manny so they were even. He left saying that he would do whatever necessary to prove Jason's guilt of the murder. After Lucky left, Jason, called for Elizabeth to come out, knowing that she had been hiding. Elizabeth offered to tell Lucky that it was not his shot that had killed Manny, but Jason pushing him off of the roof. Jason told her not to do that, that Lucky's belief that he had killed Manny had given him his confidence back and had given him the promotion to detective. Elizabeth was concerned that Lucky would be able to prove his guilt, and Jason let her know that she shouldn't worry about him. Elizabeth told him that while it was admirable that he was willing to help everyone, he needed to take care of himself as well. 

Elizabeth shows up at the PCPD looking for Lucky. She is surprised to see Jason in the interrogation room and asks Sam what Jason is doing there? She snarks that being the criminal that he is, he is often there. Hearing the bitter tone, Liz assures Sam that Jason pushed her away in order to protect her. Liz and Lucky talk about the cause of Manny's death. Liz finds Lucky's pills and confronts him over his drug use. he winds up storming out. Liz shows up at Jason's and tells him that Lucky found the autopsy report and he knows that he didn't shoot Manny. Liz tells Jason that also discovered that Lucky never stopped taking the pain killers. Lucky shows up at Jason's and Liz hid again. Lucky tells Jason he knows about Manny's death. Jason encourages him to just let it go, accept the recognition and go on with his life. Lucky becomes increasingly belligerent, annoyed that Jason is once again the hero and storms out. Liz realizes he does indeed have a problem as he would never act like this. She tells Jason about how angry Lucky became earlier when she confronted him over finding the pills. Lucky gets more pills from Maxie. 

Carly sees them go up to her room at Lucky's. Carly then goes into Kelly's looking for her mom. Liz asks if she has seen Lucky and Carly says no she hasn't trying to protect her cousin. Liz worries about where Lucky is, that he isn't answering his cell. She decides to call the station but Carly tells her not to. Liz realizes that Carly does know where Lucky is and asks her to tell. Carly bluntly says that he is upstairs having sex with Lucky. Liz is shocked and determines she will go upstairs as Carly can't possibly be right as Lucky would never cheat on her. The next morning, Lucky returns home and tells Liz he was on a stake out all night. She confronts him and when he denies sleeping with Maxie, she tells him that she saw him. He becomes belligerent again and tells her that she is just looking for an excuse to run to Patrick, that she has probably already slept with him. 

Alexis and Ric are discussing trying to associate the money laundering in Escobar's territory to Jason. Alexis observes that the Escobar operation was sloppy and after their murders the business has passed to Jason and she is sure he hasn't had time to clean up their mess. Sam arrives as Alexis is looking at Jason's file. They are talking when Sam sees Jason escorted into the interrogation room by Detective Rodriguez. Alexis hands Sam a file and asks that she deliver it to Mac. Alexis enters the interrogation room and informs Jason that this is just a formality while his businesses are being raided. Jason tells Alexis that they are just wasting their time as all of his businesses are legit. Alexis informs Jason that Escobar's men are sloppy and they will just need to wait to find out if the connection is there. Detective Rodriguez produces the box containing documents that may tie Jason into the Escobar territory. Alexis tells the Detective that she must compare the data in the box to that in the file. She begins to search the desk for Jason's file but is unable to find it. Just as Elizabeth was shredding the evidence files Alexis was looking for, Alexis appeared at the nurses' station, looking for Lucky and those files. Liz called to ask Jason to meet her on the Elm Street Pier. There, she told him she destroyed the file she stole from PCPD. Jason scolded her for taking such a chance, and extracted a vow to never pull such a stunt again. 

Lucky arrives at the hospital to take Jason into custody. At that moment Carly arrives telling him that she needs to talk. Jason asks that Carly contact his lawyer. When Carly tries to question Sam on what happened Sam informs her that Alexis had seen the two of them talking and that she is not going to let her get away with this. Alexis informs Jason that she is holding him there, as he may be a target. She suggests that while he is there, they should discuss what they can do to help Sam. Alexis tells Jason that it would be best if he tried to avoid running into Sam, or at least to not talk to her if he happens to run into her. Alexis suggests that it may be best if he told Sam that he does not love her anymore. Jason tells Alexis that he will not lie to Sam. 

Jason arrives at Alexis' house in search of Sam. Looking through the window, Jason witnesses Sam and Ric making love. Jason heads to his penthouse to drown his sorrows in a bottle. Elizabeth shows up at Jason's penthouse saying she had no place else to go. Liz could tell that Jason had been drinking drinking. She blurted out the truth about Lucky's fling and downed some tequila. He tells her he knows how much that hurts. "Sam's sleeping with Ric," he countered. Liz was shocked. Jason lamented that he was trying to protect Sam by keeping her away, but all he ended up doing was hurting her. They started talking about their past together. She reminds him about that night at Jake's when she was so upset over Lucky's death that she wanted to trash herself and he stopped her, and listened without judging. She says that she has felt a connection with him every since then. She says maybe it might have been more but then she slept with Zander. Liz admitted that she was once truly in love with him but then he left town and when he came back, her life was different (by then Lucky was alive and back in town, when he returned again a few months later, they almost got another chance together but just as Jason kissed her he got picked up for the miniseries and Steve was off again). Liz says tommorrow she will figure out what to do. She turns away and he pulls her towards him. She tells him that she doesn't want to think about anything tonight, she just wants to be there with him in that moment. As they are standing close, he brushes the top of her head and softly releases her hair so that it falls around her shoulders. He leans in and kisses her. As they continue kissing, he unbottons her shirt and pulls it offer. She in turn, helps him remove his shirt. He pulls her down behind the couch, still locked together kissing. 

Later, Jason brought Elizabeth a bottle of water. He asks if she is okay? She says that all of the pain feels so far away. He tells her how beautiful she is. They admitted their surprise as neither expected this to happen. He asks if she has any regrets and she says no but that it was the only night they'd spend together. She said at one time she considered having a future with him but that all ended when she had Cameron. He understands as she would want Cameron to be safe. She says she thought he was safe but now he is going to have his world ripped apart. As they cuddled on the couch, Liz mentioned that she wished her son could get to know Jason better as he is so good with kids, so patient, but his lifestyle's too dangerous for her to take that chance. "You rescued me when I had no place else to," she smiled. He tells her that she also rescued him. She thinks maybe she should go. He tells her only if she wants to. She says she can't go to her Grams as she so badly wants her to work things out with Lucky, she can't go home as Lucky is probably still in her bed with Maxie, and with two maxed out credit cards and $10 in her wallet, that maybe she will just go sleep in the on-call room and hope no one asks any questions. He says that she can stay there with him and looks intently into her eyes. They lean in and kiss each other as Sam enters the hallway and approaches the door. Jason hears a knock and grabs his gun and opens the door to find no one there. He tells Liz that with the power outage there are increased security risk. 

Elizabeth commented she is surprised that he did not have a guard posted at the door, and Jason said that it was not something necessary. Jason says that he doesn't even know if guards do any good as he has learned over and over that there are never any guarantees and he knows that Elizabeth or anyone else around him would never be safe. She doesn't expect any promises, that she didn't expect to sleep with him that night but he has a way of cutting through all of the clutter and helps her see things clearly. She is surprised when he says that he does the same thing for her. He says that he can just be honest and not have to worry about her agenda as she is straightforward. He tells her that she has come through for him every single time that he has needed her, especially lately. Jason tells her how much he appreciates having her in his life and he has never expressed it and didn't know how to. He knows that the life he has chosen is so completely opposite of everything she wanted, of everything she is. She stops him and says that he is wrong, that he and how he lives his life has always been a temptation for her. She says she wasn't always a goody tooshoes, that when she first came town that she was a nightmare. She says that after she was raped that Lucky was the only person who could see through the fog that she was in. But then she thought he was dead and she became very careful and that was where she was when he came along, and he was the chance that was just too good for her to take. She says it is very ironic now as turns out that he would have been a very safe person to be with. He is surprised as no one has ever called him safe before. She clarifies that she means emotionally, that she has always been able to trust him, she always knew she could count on him. He asks if she has ever wondered why it would have been like had they stayed together, had she gone with him to Italy when he left Port Charles that first time? She says of course and asks if he thought about it? He says he tried not to but he would go to a church someplace and see some amazing painting and he would think of her. They both laugh that the their timing really sucks. 

Jason has a thought and tells her that he can't go to Italy right now, but he would like to send her and Cameron, that it would mean a lot to do something for her right now. She says she can't just leave, that she has a job. She asks if he is trying to get rid of her? He says no, that he would miss her. She is very tempted and tells him how sweet and generous it is of him but she would only be running away from her problems with Lucky and she can't do that. She believes that you can't let fear dictate choice and she hopes to finally learn that lesson. She has been in denial for months and didn't want to admit it, or to admit that he was turning to Maxie. She continues that her marriage didn't collapse in the last 24 hours, that it has beenn deteriorating for months. He asks if she is going to leave Lucky? She doesn't know. He tells her that if he can do anything to help her, she says she knows that. She asked what he felt his future would bring him? He told her that while he was running the business he could not think of having a family. She doesn't like the idea of him being alone. But he says that way no one gets hurt, she says except for him. He says he doesn't know where or how he would have been had she not shown up. They draw together again and kiss softly, as he brushes the hair away from her face. 

The next morning, Elizabeth wakes up in Jason's bed, wrapped up in his arms. She teasingly asks him where they are? He says in his bedroom, she points out that it doesn't look like any other part of his place. He tells her that Brenda hated the place and redecorated it and hasn't felt like changing it, that it still feels like Brenda's room. She thinks it is sweet that no matter where Brenda goes she always has her room to come home to. Elizabeth felt the same way last night when her life was falling apart and she couldn't go home, that she knew she could go to him. Jason takes her downstairs to the breakfast he made for her. She is surprised as she didn't even know he could cook. Jason asks if she is sure that she wants to leave Lucky? She says that her marriage is over, she just has to tell Lucky. She hopes they can do this simply, Jason asks if she is sure that Lucky wants a divorce? She says she caught him with Maxie, she doesn't think he will put up a fight. He asks if she is sure that is what she wants, maybe she should wait a couple of weeks and see how she feels then. She can't allow her son to live in an environment when her husband is acting so irrationally. She has enabled Lucky long enough and she has to stop. Jason tells her that he admires her. As she leaves, he offers to be there for her if she needs him and kisses her softly one more time. 

Jason comes clean with Sam about his one night stand with Elizabeth. He tells her that after seeing her with Rick that he came home and started drinking. Elizabeth showed up, upset as she found that Lucky is having an affair with Maxie. He tells her that he slept with Elizabeth. She asks if he did that to get back at her? He says no, that he would never use Elizabeth that way. He says they both found something in each other that they needed that night. He says that he didn't plan on telling her but since she told him about Rick, that he felt he should be honest with her as well. Devastated, Sam tells Jason that she is going to leave town. Elizabeth goes to see Jason to tell him that she has changed her mind about leaving Lucky. She says that she found a note that he went to a Narcotics Annoymous meeting and when he came home he begged her to stay. She is going to honor her vows, for better for worse. He urges her to be careful. She asks Jason not to tell anyone about their one night together as it could ruin his whole recovery process that it would give him the perfect excuse to go back on the pills. He tells her that it is too late to keep it just between them as he told Sam. Elizabeth is upset that Jason told Sam about their sleeping together. Jason explains that Sam was honest with him about sleeping with Ric so he felt compelled to be just as honest with her. Elizabeth is very concerned that Lucky will find out and it will interfere with his recovery. Jason assures her however, that their secret is safe because Sam is leaving town. Elizabeth then asks Jason how he feels about her leaving. Jason feels Sam is making a big mistake but admits that it is up to her. Elizabeth wants to know if he could ever forgive Sam for sleeping with Ric? He responds by asking her if she could ever forgive Lucky. "I love my husband and I am going to do whatever I can to help him get clean." She admits that whenever she thinks about the situation, she can only think of him and Maxie together but she knows that she has to give it a try because she have so much to lose. She tells Jason that he does too. 

Sam talks to Jason about Alexis possibly dying. She wants to tell Alexis that she slept with Ric, Jason discourages it as Alexis needs her right now. Elizabeth knocks at the door, and is surprised to see Sam there. Sam is not happy to see her there. Sam tells her about Alexis having lung cancer and tells her that Alexis can't know about Ric and her sleeping together. Elizabeth agrees and asks Sam not to tell Lucky about Elizabeth sleeping with Jason because it could set back Lucky's recovery. After Sam leaves, Elizabeth apologizes for coming while Sam is there as she couldn't have worse timing. She asks if he wants to go after Sam. He says no that she needs to be with Alexis. Elizabeth tells him about a confrontation she had with Maxie on the docks and how Maxie blames her flirtation with Patrick for Lucky's drug problem. Elizabeth tells Jason that Lucky must never find out about their night together. 

Another day, Jason found Elizabeth on the pier. Liz mused that everything comes down to timing and chance, that if Lucky hadn't hurt his back that he wouldn't have gotten hooked on pills, and if Manny hadn't escaped that he wouldn't have shot Sam, and if Sam hadn't gotten shot that Jason wouldn't have pushed her away. Liz thinks it is all about timing and chance. Jason disagrees and says that is only if you think your powerless. Jason believes that things happen when they happen but you still have a choice. Lucky choose to keep taking the pills, Jason choose to keep pushing Sam away, Sam choose to do what she need (not being able to say that she choose to sleep with Ric), and that night you came to me that we chose to be together, I chose to be with you and I knew exactly what I was doing. Liz tells Jason that Lucky isn't doing well and she has to protect him, but she doesn't need to be protected from what they had, and she certainly doesn't regret anything that happened. He agrees that neither does he. She says oh and did I thank you for that wonderful breakfast you made for me? He laughingly asks her not to go spreading it around that he cooks. Jason vows to always be her friend and that if she ever needs anything that he will be there for her. Before she walks away, she tells him she is glad that one night the timing worked out so they could be together. 

Lucky has a nightmare of finding Liz in bed with Patrick (he had been jealous of her friendship with Patrick for months, completely clueless about her feelings for Jason). He pulls out a gun and shoots LIz and kills her. He wakes up screaming. Liz confronts him and tells him that it is just his withdrawals. He can't believe she can forgive him for sleeping with Maxie, for what she saw him doing with her. She tells him that she doesn't want to talk about it right now while he is going through withdrawals. He says she isn't the one who cheated on their marriage and it is all on him as Liz flashesback to sleeping with Lucky. Liz was sitting alone on the docks thinking about Jason when he came by. He asked what she was doing there? She let him know that she was avoiding going home as Lucky is having a hard time coming off of the pills and that he isn't pleasant to be around. He asks if he can do anything to help her? She says no but muses that is always his first response, how can he help her. She acknowledged that Lucky's battle is even more difficult since he was unwilling to go into rehab. She let Jason know that her child comes first, and if Lucky was to ever start using again, she would leave him for good. 

Jason approaches Liz and quietly asks her where a copy machine is. She realizes he is up to something but laughs as he promises not to steal anything. Sam stops him and he offers to listen to her as she is obviously upset. Lulu stops by the nurse's desk and Liz offers her support if she needs someone to talk to about her pregnancy. Edward charges up to Lulu and says she better not be there for an abortion. Lulu blames Edward for the faulty Enduro condoms and says it is ELQ's fault that she is pregnant in the first place. She threathens to hold a press conference about the faulty condoms and wonders how many other women unexpectedly find themselves pregnant. Liz immediately heads to Jason's penthouse in search of which condoms were used the night of the blackout. Finding the packaging in his bedside table, Liz sees that they are the Enduro condoms, the same brand that Lulu mentioned being defective and leading to her pregnancy. Jason came into his apartment, as Elizabeth was coming down the stairs from the bedroom. When he asked what she was doing there, she let him know that she had come by because she thought she had left a necklace over there the night of the blackout. She apologized for invading his space, and Jason let her know that it was all right. Later, Liz ran into Jason as he was leaving the hospital. She shared her frustrations of Lucky's unwillingness to go to rehab, and asked Jason if she should force him to go? Jason let her know that forcing someone into a decision they did not want to make would only lead to disaster, and that Liz should let Lucky take the course he has chosen. 

Liz stares at her pregnancy test, her mind flashing back to the night she and Jason spent together, and then she utters one word, "Pregnant". Elizabeth sees Sam heading for the elevators. She approaches Sam and asks her how Alexis is doing? Sam tells her that the news isn't good and that the cancer spread. Elizabeth asks Sam if she knows how she can reach Jason. Sam asks her what it is about? Elizabeth tells her it is a private matter between friends and nothing else. Sam still wants to know. Sam suggests that perhaps Liz doesn't regret sleeping with Jason like Sam regrets sleeping with Ric. Elizabeth tells Sam that Jason is just a friend and she has no intention of sleeping with him again. Sam tells Liz that her and Jason have broken up for good. Liz is surprised and asks when? Sam tells her that before Alexis was taken into surgery that she asked Sam to take responsibility for her girls but without Jason in her life and the danger he would present to their safety and they agreed. Sam lies and tells her she doesn't know where Jason is and how to contact him. 

Elizabeth has an exam later and Dr. Lee confirms that she is pregnant. Elizabeth surprises Dr. Lee when she tells her that she doesn't know who the father is and aks how soon she can do a paternity test. Liz shows up at Windermere and informs Nik that she requires his assistance with Lucky. She tells him that she thinks Lucky will require professional help with his drug addiction because she is not sure she can handle it anymore. When Nik tries to find out the change of heart, Liz informs him that she is pregnant. Nik promises that he will try and talk Lucky into rehab. Liz arrives at Sonny's and informs him that she is looking for Jason. Sonny tells her that he is away on business at the moment, but that Jason would be willing to assist her when he gets back. Liz asks if what Jason is doing is dangerous? Sonny assures her that Jason can take care of himself. Sonny informs Liz that he knows they value each other's friendship, but she should keep in mind that he is in love with Sam. Dr. Lee and Liz talk about her pregnancy, she is sure that Patrick will step up and do the right thing. Liz says that there is no possibility of Patrick being the father of her baby. Dr. Lee is surprised as she hasn't seen Liz with anyone else other than Patrick or Lucky. Liz tells her it was an old friend, Jason, and she had one really bad night. She discusses the dilemna that she is in of not feeling she can tell Lucky when she doesn't know if the baby is his. If the baby is Jason's, that her marriage is over but it might lead to Lucky's recovery failling. 

Sam goes out to make a phone call on her cell-phone and leaves a message for Jason telling him that Alexis isn't getting any better and she needs to see him and asks him to call her. Elizabeth comes out of the hospital and overhears the message. Sam tells her that she and Jason agreed to try one more time to make their relationship work and that she lied that day when she told her it was over between them for good to protect Alexis. Sam tells her that she is okay with what happened between Elizabeth and Jason and that she has no right to pass judgment after she slept with Ric. Sam tells her that she loves Jason and wants to try to work things out with him. Elizabeth interrupts and reminds her that she is married and that her and Jason are friends and that is all they will ever be. Liz goes home and lays on the couch, fighting morning sickness. She notices a pill under the coffe table and realizes Lucky is still doing drugs. She flashesback to their wedding and his vows and throws a picture against the wall smashing it. He enters their apartment to find her packing and nastily asks if she planned on leaving him a note? She says she found the pills and she had warned him if he continued to take them that she would leave him. He excuses that it was just to get through Lulu's crisis and that Liz could help him get past this. She is over it and is on her way out, and he grabs her and tells her very intensely to look into his eyes as he swears that he will never let her leave him! He throws her bag across the room and says she isn't going anywhere until she gives him a chance to explain. A haunting ballad opens a music montage to scenes of anxious clockwatching accompanied Lulu's abortion appointment, Elizabeth removed her wedding ring and threw it at an erratic Lucky who accidentally knocked her to the floor during their fight. Nikolas ran in, helping Liz and asking Lucky, "Do you have any idea what you could've done?" Nik whisked Elizabeth to GH for a checkup . Kelly assured Elizabeth that she was fine and advised her to tell her hubby of her pregnancy. Instead, Elizabeth told Nikolas she had to leave Lucky as a victorious Maxie overheard. 

At the hospital, Elizabeth talked to Kelly about her pregnancy and the possibility that it might be Jason's. Kelly asked Elizabeth if she could choose, who would she want her baby's father to be? She said Lucky, but the Lucky she used to know. Right now, Jason is the better choice. Kelly had her doubts, but Elizabeth explained that Jason is better father material than he might seem at first glance. Elizabeth checked in with Sam to see how Alexis is doing. Liz asks Sam about where Jason is and when he will be back? Sam is suspicous about why Liz wants to see Jason? She tells Sam that Lucky is still doing drugs, and knowing that Jason is the one who really killed Manny, that he could target Jason while doing his job, and she is worried about someone getting hurt and wants to discuss it with Jason. He finally returns home and runs into Elizabeth on the docks. Elizabeth tries to tell Jason that she is pregnant and he could be the father but she notices Sam watching them talking from nearby and loses her nerve. Sam apologizes for interrupting and offers to leave so they can talk. Elizabeth tells her that she needs to get back to work and only wanted to talk to Jason about her current problems with Lucky. Sam receives a phone call that Kristina needs her and distracted, she runs off to her sister. Jason can see that something is wrong and asks Liz to tell him what is going on. She has second thoughts and doesn't tell him about the pregnancy, so fills him on the rest of her problems with Lucky. She tells him that she just returned from the courthouse where she filed for divorce. She tells him about how he had knocked her down accidentally during the argument. Elizabeth is worried that Lucky is on drugs and may target Jason and she asks Jason to not harm Lucky, even if he tries to go after him as a cop. Jason tells her he isn't afraid of Lucky harming him and is concerned about Elizabeth's safety more. 

Elizabeth suffers more morning sickness at work. Epiphany stops her from falling on the floor in a faint and sits her down for a private talk. Epiphany lets her know that she already knows she is pregnant when Elizabeth lies and tells her she didn't eat lunch or sleep well last night. Elizabeth confides in Epiphany about Lucky's drug addiction and how he was unfaithful to her. She also admits that she doesn't know who the father of her unborn baby is. Epiphany assumes that Patrick could be the father and starts calling him all sorts of names. Elizabeth is flabbergasted that everyone thinks she slept with Patrick. Elizabeth reluctantly tells her that Jason could be the father after Epiphany promised not to tell anyone her secret. 

Jason meets with Alcazar, who thinks that Jason is in a vulnerable position because of all the problems he is dealing with and with Sonny in therapy. Jason warns him that he can take care of himself and Sonny. Sam listens in on the conversation while she steps away into a dark corner so Alcazar won't see her. Alcazar warns Jason that he has made some new friends in high places that Jason doesn't know about and won't until it is too late. Jason and Sam are discussing starting over when he receives a call from Liz telling him that Alexis is getting worse. Nik told Jason that if Sam did have to raise the girls, he'd have to stay away from her and Jason said he'd respect Alexis's wishes. After Nik left, Jason then asked Liz what she thought about Alexis's condition? Liz said she didn't think Alexis would survive. Liz becomes a bit dizzy and wavers, Jason steadies her and asks if she is okay? She insists that she just hasn't eaten, and he offers to get her something. Mac went over to Lucky's and did everything he could not to beat him to a pulp. He told Lucky that he wasn't throwing him in jail for drugs in order to avoid a scandal, but he did fire Lucky from the force. An irate Mac approaches Liz and started to browbeat her for Lucky's actions, blaming her for Lucky sleeping with Maxie. Jason stepped in to protect her from Mac's misguided wrath. Later, Jason went up to the roof where Liz was taking a breather. They fantasized about taking a trip to Italy. Liz then lamented about her situation with Lucky. "Lucky's a walking time bomb," she sighed. "Please watch your back." She points out that Mac's fury at Lucky is just one more thing pointing to Lucky's meltdown. 

Jason came by the hospital wanting to talk to Liz. When he asked how she was doing, she started to go on about her problems with Lucky, but then stopped herself, promising him that she would stop laying everything on him. Jason let her know that he was there to help, and that she should not keep everything in. Liz was appreciative that he had come by to see how she was doing, and Jason let her know that he also had a favor to ask of her. He asked if she had ever seen Ric and Alcazar talking at the hospital? Liz let him know that she had seen them together a couple of times, but since Ric was there for Alexis and Alcazar was part of the hospital board, they could be discussing hospital business. Jason asked Liz to let him know if she ever saw them together to let him know, but not to get involved. Lucky called Jason, and asked to meet with him, luring him in saying that he had information about Sam. Cruz shows up at GH and tells Liz that Mac fired Lucky yesterday, and Lucky is going to try set up Jason in order to get his job back and prove himself to Mac. 

#5B  When Jason and Lucky met, Lucky pulled a gun out on Jason, and asked him to hold still. He told Jason that he was arresting him on drug charges. Jason told him that the charges would never stick because everyone knew that he stayed away from drugs, both professionally and personally. Lucky threw down the bags of heroine when heard someone coming. He got nervous, and accused Jason of having back up. Jason tried to reason with Lucky, who did not listen, and shot his gun towards the footsteps. As shots were fired, Liz fell to the ground. Luckily she was unharmed, but boy was she angry. She then blurted out that he could have hurt the baby and Lucky realizes his wife is pregnant. Lucky was stunned, but Liz was disgusted when she realized that Lucky was trying to frame Jason. She told Lucky that since she had been pregnant, she had taken two hard falls because of Jason. Liz had Jason take her to the hospital to be checked out. 

At the hospital, Kelly almost let it slip in front of Jason that he could be the father of Liz's baby. The girls covered, but Kelly wondered why Jason wasn't suspicious. Epiphany figured Jason was there because he knew that he might be the father and said she was glad Elizabeth finally told him and it was time fro him to step up and help her. He agreed to try to help her. Ephiphany tells him that he needs to do more than try, and that Liz needs someone to take care of her and get LIz to take it easy. Jason still believing that Lucky is the baby's father, asked Liz to let him help her as a friend since Lucky wasn't around. Liz asked Jason to recount what happened with Lucky. After listening to the harrowing story, Liz needed to go back to the apartment to get a few things. Jason agreed to accompany her. 

Lucky is there with a bag packed and all cleaned up. He tells her he is going to rehab and hopes she will come see him there. Elizabeth tells him she is happy he is going to rehab but that she won't be visiting him and won't be waiting for him when he returns. Lucky pleads with her to give him another chance once he gets better for the sake of their marriage and their unborn baby. Elizabeth tries to get her things and tries to avoid talking to Lucky anymore. She goes into the other room to retrieve her things and leaves Jason alone with Lucky. Jason tries to be sympathetic and tells Lucky that he knows this is hard for him and that sometimes damage in a relationship can be permanent and asks Lucky to give Elizabeth the space she needs right now. Lucky tells Jason that he was wrong to set him up with the drugs and that his only excuse was that he did it out of desperation and apologizes. Jason accepts his apology. Elizabeth comes back in the room and says goodbye to Lucky. Lucky asks her if she still loves him anymore and Elizabeth can't look him in the eye to say she doesn't. She tells him she loves him and wishes him well. Jason brings her back to Audrey's house. Audrey is surprised to see Jason with Elizabeth. Elizabeth picks up Cameron and introduces him to Jason. She also tells Cameron again that he is going to have a little brother or sister someday. Elizabeth apologizes for Lucky to Jason before he leaves. 

Liz is reading a letter that she received from Lucky informing her that he still loves her and Cam and he hopes that she will be able to trust him again once he leaves rehab. Jason walks up to her and begins asking her if work is really the best thing for her with her pregnancy? Liz thanks Jason for his offer to help, but tells him that she is working in order to keep herself sane. Emily is hurt that Liz didn't tell her that she is pregnant. Liz had a good reason for staying mum and tells her that, "I may be pregnant with your brother's baby". Elizabeth spilled about the affair with Jason, and Emily urged her pal to tell Jason the baby could be his. Later, Liz gave Jason a call (while Lorenzo eavesdropped) and wanted to meet him. Later, Emily went to visit her brother and Jason asked Em if he knew why Liz seemed upset? Emily didn't spill the secret and when Liz eventually arrived, she informed Jason herself that she told Emily about their affair. While discussing their night of passion again, Jason asked Elizabeth, what if the baby she was carrying was his? Elizabeth tells him he could be and she is waiting for a paternity test to reveal who the father is. Jason sits and listens as Elizabeth confides in him about her problems with Lucky and how she doesn't really know what to do. Jason asks her if she could take Lucky back if he does get better and kicks the drug addiction. Elizabeth thinks that drug addicts can't be trusted not to lapse and go back to the drug they got addicted to and she doesn't know if she wants to take him back. Jason doesn't have a solution. Elizabeth feels that she put Lucky's needs ahead of her own son's when she sent Cameron to go live with her grandmother for a month and that she can't do that now. She tells him that Lucky couldn't seem to get help for Cameron and herself but is willing to do this because he thinks he is going to be a father. Jason tells her he will help her in any way he can but feels she and her children will get through this rough time. 

Elizabeth goes back to work. She seems very preoccupied when Epiphany approaches her and notices she made a mistake with the patient's medication. Elizabeth apologizes and Epiphany thinks she needs to do her job correctly with no excuses. She suggests she take a break and also to tell a certain someone she could be carrying his child, meaning Jason. Carly happens to walk by and overhears Elizabeth tell Epiphany that she already told Jason that he could be the father of her baby. Carly is shocked by what she hears and goes right over to Jason's place. Carly barges right in and insists she needs to talk to Jason alone immediately. Bernie decides to leave right away. Carly confronted Jason about whether he is the father of Elizabeth's baby? Jason asked her to stay quiet about it right now. Carly wanted him to be careful and not to make any promises he can't keep. She wanted to know how he was going to handle Sam, because this would break her heart. He told her he was going to tell Sam the truth. He told her they were making progress, but Sam made a decision to be with her family. He told her that if the baby is his, Elizabeth doesn't expect anything, but he will take care of her and the baby. Carly just asked him to think about himself for a change, not everyone else. 

Jason called Elizabeth over to tell her that he wanted to do the right thing if the baby is his, he wanted to marry her. Liz suggests that he should at least wait to be sure the baby is his. She tells him that even if the baby is his that he isn't obligated to take care of the baby, of her, and for Cameron for the rest of his life. She asks if this would be a marriage of convenience? Would they be roommates or a couple? She asks if he has thought about this? He tells her they get along very well and she would be easy to live with, and she would be a good mom and he would be a good dad. She tells him that she is still in love with Lucky and he is still in love with Sam and getting married when they are both in love with other people would be a huge mistake. Jason admits that he misses Sam and their life together but he can't forget that she slept with Ric and Sam can' forget that he slept with Elizabeth. He comments that Sam says that it is like the Grand Canyon, you can stand on the edge and see the other side but it is impossible to get there. Elizabeth points out that people cross the Grand Canyon all the time and that while it may be dangerous and difficult it is possible. Jason asks Elizabeth what she is going to do if the baby is his and he and Sam get back together. She tells him that she is going to do exactly what she plans to do if the baby is not his, which is to raise Cameron and the baby by herself with the support of her family and friends. Jason tells Liz that if the baby is his he wants to support it. Liz tells Jason they will deal which that if they have to. Liz Then says goodbye to Jason and tells him she is going to schedule the paternity test and that she will let him know when it is and when she gets the results. 

Liz is sitting on the docks crying while Lucky is sitting in front of Audrey's staring at his wedding ring and Jason is walking around his apartment during a montage scene. Elizabeth calls Kelly Lee and arranges to have the paternity test done on Friday, October 13th and Kelly tells her the results will be in a week later on October 20th. Kelly apologizes that it will take so long but Elizabeth reassures her that it is okay because she just needs to find out if Lucky or Jason is the father of her baby. As Liz makes this comment Ric walks up and overhears her. Ric asks Elizabeth if she is pregnant? He comments that he wasn't eavesdropping he just overheard her on the phone scheduling an ultrasound appointment. He congratulates Elizabeth and says that he knows that she and Lucky have been having problems and says this may be the thing that turns around his life. As Ric is talking, LIz starts to walk away and Ric reaches out to stop her. Jason suddenly appears and grabs Ric and slams him up against the wall. Ric is surprised at Jason's over reaction and asks why he is acting so crazy? Jason warns Ric to stay away from Liz. Ric told him that he was crazy and that he was just talking to Liz about her pregnancy, and was offering his help. Liz broke the two apart, and after Ric left, she told Jason that he needed to calm down. He let her know of his frustration and that he didn't trust Ric. Liz asked Jason to give him some space until the paternity of the child was confirmed. 

At the hospital, Liz overheard Maxie very loudly discuss with Kelly her pregnancy, and automatically deduced that the child was Lucky's. Obviously upset about hearing this news, she decided to go home. When she got back to Audrey's, Lucky was there waiting for her. She told him that he should return to rehab, and he let her know that he needed to tell her something. She told him that she already knew that Maxie is pregnant. She told him that was the last straw. She let him know that it changed everything, and he waved the divorce papers he found on the desk and said that signing the papers is what would change everything. She told him that if he loved her, he would sign the documents, and he vowed he would never to do it. 

Sam tells Jason that she is ready to move forward with her relationship with him if she is. Jason tells her that Elizabeth is pregnant and that the baby might be his. Sam is devastated by this news and asks Jason how he could do this and asks him why he didn't use protection? Jason tells her about the faulty condoms. He points out the baby might also be Lucky's. He tells her that Liz is taking a paternity test later that day and it wasn't safe to do it earlier as she had a miscarriage. Sam ends up going to see Nikolas and blurts out that Elizabeth could be carrying Jason's baby. Nikolas is surprised by that piece of news. Sam tells him she just found out and can't believe some other woman is having the baby she wanted to have with Jason. Nikolas tells Sam that Elizabeth's behavior is now starting to make sense and that he now knows why Elizabeth didn't want Lucky to find out about the pregnancy. Sam realizes who she just told and that he could tell Lucky. Nikolas assures her that he has no plans to let Lucky know since he will use any excuse to start using pills again. 

Jason is at Sonny's later and he is obviously distracted by his earlier conversation with Sam and Sonny picks up on it. Sonny then asks Jason what else happened while he was gone? Jason tells him about his one-night with Elizabeth and how he could be the father of her baby. Jason doesn't know what he wants to do but that if he is the baby's father he is going to take care of both Elizabeth and their baby. Sonny asks him if that would mean he would lose Sam in the process? Jason doesn't know what will happen but that Sam was very upset when he told her. Sam runs into Elizabeth on the docks. Sam congratulates Elizabeth on her pregnancy but there is no smile or sincerity in her voice. Jason goes to see Nikolas and asks him if he has seen Sam. Nikolas doesn't say it out loud what he knows but hints at the fact that Sam told him about Jason possibly being the baby's father and that she was very upset by it. 

Jason responded to Nikolas's summons to Wyndemere to discuss Sam's determination to keep Ric away from Kristina and Molly if Alexis dies. Nik wondered why Sam was so opposed to Ric raising his own child? Jason kept mum and left. Sam accused Elizabeth of wanting her baby to be Jason's. Liz defended her one-night stand with Jason, pointing out that he and Sam were broken up at the time. She also threw Sam's one-nighter with Ric in her face and asks what kind of person sleeps with their mother's husband? Jason walked up and ordered the women to cool down. Sam maintained Liz's pregnancy was a little too "convenient" and departed in a huff. Carly ran into Jason, who told her about his baby drama. Carly believed Liz was carrying Jason's baby. She sympathized with Sam and said she'd like to rip Liz's hair out. Jax's arrival put an end to their chat. 

Elizabeth and Kelly Lee are at General Hospital discussing the paternity test that Kelly just administered. Kelly tells Elizabeth the results will take a few days. As they are talking Lulu comes storming up and accuses Elizabeth of abandoning Luck when he needs her the most. Lulu cannot understand why Elizabeth won't try to work things out with Lucky, if nothing else for Cameron and the baby. Elizabeth feels that the baby can't be the reason that Lucky gets sober and that he must make that change or himself and no one else. She tells Lulu that she still loves Lucky and she always will but she just can't be with him anymore. Lulu is surprised because she assumed Elizabeth was trying to punish Lucky for his betrayal with Maxie. Lulu is reassured when Elizabeth tells her that Lucky will be involved in the baby's life as long as he is sober. Lulu and Elizabeth make up and share a hug. After Lulu leaves Kelly Lee advises Elizabeth that even though she has a DNA sample from Jason, she needs him to sign a release before she can process the paternity test. Elizabeth tells Kelly that it will be easy to get a signature from Jason, then she ruefully comments that the only thing that will be easy is if Lucky is the baby's father. Ric and Det. Rodriguez listen into the tap in Jason's apartment and eavesdrop on Elizabeth and Jason talking about Lucky's addiction and how he got Maxie pregnant. They are both shocked to hear this and wonder why Elizabeth would be sharing all of this with Jason. Just then Elizabeth asks Jason what will happen is he is her baby's father? 

Carly came barging into Jason's apartment, demanding that he just be happy about the choices she made, and to not lecture her. When he claimed that he did not know what she was talking about, Carly was surprised that Sonny did not tell him that she was engaged to Jax. Carly let Jason know how happy she was, and that she wanted him to be her "best person", standing next to her when she got married. At first, Jason did not want the honor, but when, she let him know how important it was, he agreed. With that, she announced that she was extremely happy, and that now, she was going to get him back together with Sam. She felt that he choosing to be with Elizabeth because of the baby was wrong because he would never be happy without Sam. He asked her to mind her own business, and that he would make the necessary choices. Next, Sonny barged in to let Jason know about Carly's engagement to Jax, and that he should do whatever necessary to stop it. 

At the hospital, Elizabeth got a call from Lucky, inquiring about how she was feeling? While they were talking, Sam walked out of the elevator. Elizabeth let Lucky know about the sonogram, and that her morning sickness was contained to the morning now. Lucky ended the call letting her know that he had a session to go to, and Elizabeth let him know that she was glad that he was getting better. Afterwards, Sam apologized to Elizabeth for being so harsh to her yesterday, after hearing the news of her pregnancy. Elizabeth was sympathetic, saying that she would have probably reacted the same way if she had been in a similar situation. She also let Sam know that she hoped that the baby was Lucky's, to which Sam agreed to, and asked shouldn't Lucky know regardless of the paternity test. Garcia and Ric were talking, where Ric was adamant that the information that they got from the bug at Jason's apartment not be used. He did not want it to come out, that Elizabeth could be pregnant with Jason's baby. Garcia felt that this was personal feelings coming into a situation where it was unwarranted. Ric let him know that he wanted Jason arrested and convicted as soon as possible to protect Elizabeth. Garcia came by GH and told Elizabeth in confidence that he and Rick had overheard the conversation she had with Jason at his apartment and of the possibility of Jason being the father of her child. Elizabeth fretted that Ric will tell Lucky about her pregnancy. Cruz noted that Ric destroyed all records of the surveillance, so he suggested she tell Lucky herself first. 

Lucky told Jason he wanted to make amends, and apologized "completely." Lucky said he's glad Liz turned to him. Jason says that if Lucky needs him to say that he forgives him that he does. Lucky mentioned that Ric stopped by with a job offer, making Jason suspicious. Liz went to Jason's place and told him his penthouse is bugged, so now Ric knows Jason may be the father of her baby. Elizabeth and Jason discuss how Ric might use this information. Jason tells Elizabeth that Ric is playing her to get to him. He tells her that Ric went to visit Lucky earlier today and promised to get him re-instated in the police department after he finishes rehab. Elizabeth panics when she fears that Ric may have told Lucky that Jason could be the father of her baby. She tells Jason that Ric never mentioned visiting Lucky when he took her out to lunch today. Jason doesn't think Ric told Lucky anything but can't be sure he won't in the future. Elizabeth doesn't think Ric is trying to hurt her since he has always been nice to her since their divorce. Jason decides to walk Elizabeth outside to get a cab for her. She tells him in the elevator on the way down that she is going to visit Lucky before she goes home. They enter the parking garage and find Ric there. Ric asks Elizabeth what she is doing there. Elizabeth makes up some story about how she came to talk to Jason about an issue that concerned Emily. Elizabeth tells Jason she will be fine going outside alone to get her own cab. 

Jason asks Ric what he wants with him and that he has no business being there unless he has official police business to discuss with him. Ric tells him to stay away from Elizabeth. Jason refuses to do anything he tells him. Ric brings up Sam to push Jason's buttons. It works and Jason plays right into his hands after Ric accuses Sam of being nothing more than a hooker anyway after he tells him that Sam was no innocent person he slept with. Jason grabs Ric and knocks him against his car. He starts beating him and throws him to the ground and kicks him several times in the face and ribs. Sonny shows up and gets him to stop before he actually kills Ric. Sonny has one of his men take Ric to the hospital and not to say anything other than he found him on the street like that. Sonny takes Jason back to his place to talk to him and figure out a way to cover it up. Jason refuses to leave the country until he finds out for sure if he is the father of Elizabeth's baby. Sonny tells Jason that he was not thinking when he beat up Ric and that he played right into Ric's hands by letting him get to him. Sonny believes that he was sent there for a reason and that he probably figured he would be there to stop Jason from actually killing him. Sam asks Elizabeth to meet her at Kelly's. Sam tells Elizabeth that she believes Jason will want to be part of the child's life if he turns out to be the father and that she intends to fight for Jason for herself regardless of what happens. Ric tells Detective Rodriguez that he wants Jason charged with attempted murder because he was the one who beat him up. 

Sonny asked Elizabeth over to tell her that Jason had to go out of town and he asked that he keep in touch with her. She told him she should know by the end of the day who's the father of the baby. She told Sonny that she was glad Jason had someone to talk to because usually he is the one supporting everyone else. That is why she went to him the night of the blackout. She just needed someone to talk to, she never meant for it to be more than that. She told Sonny that if Jason is the father, it will push Lucky over the edge. Sonny told her if Lucky goes back on drugs it is on him, not her. She said so many people already know, including Ric, that she doesn't know if she can keep it from him much longer. Sonny told her that is why Jason left town last night after he almost killed Rick. Elizabeth told him she left them together in the garage last night and there was tension, but no one was out of control. Sonny told her that is what Rick wanted her to think, but then he told Jason that Sam was a slut, she was the one that begged him to have sex and Jason went off on him. He had to pull Jason off of him when he showed up. They were interrupted by Det. Cruz and some police officers looking for Jason. Sonny said he would show them around, but Jason wasn't there. Cruz warned Elizabeth that she doesn't want to be caught in a war between Jason and Ric and to do what is best for her baby and get out of the way before they both get hurt. 

Elizabeth went to see Ric. She asked him what happened? He told her that Jason decided to take out some of his anger on him. She told him he wouldn't attack someone without a reason. Ric said he didn't like the questions he was asking. He told her he knows that she is friends with Jason, but he is not the man she thinks he is. She told him that he wasn't either. He said he deserved that. He said the difference is that he chose to change and turn my life around. He told her that Jason is a danger to himself and everyone around him; once he is in prison he won't be able to hurt her. She informed him that Jason would never do anything to hurt her. He told her not intentionally, but look at how he has hurt Sam. She told him it would be better for everyone if he would drop the charges because Sam is going to get hurt too. He told her that her compassion is misguided, Jason is a cold blooded killer and he is not going to let him get away this time. He told her she didn't need the stress of worrying about Jason; she has the baby to think about. 

Sonny came to see Ric and Ric told him that he was not going to drop the charges. Sonny told him he didn't have any witnesses. Ric told him that the judge would believe the D.A. over a Mob Enforcer. Sonny asked how his image was going to hold up when Jason tells them that he slept with his wife's daughter. Ric told him he wouldn't do that to Sam. He said he has everything he needs to put Jason away thanks to him. Sonny told him he was thanking him a little too soon. Sonny told Ric to drop the charges on Jason or he will go to Alexis and tell her that he slept with Sam. Rick told him that he is bluffing right when Alexis walks in. Sonny told her it was about time she heard what her husband has been up to. Sonny tells Ric that Alexis needs to know the truth just as Alexis walks into the room. Alexis tells Sonny and Ric that she knows they are talking about Jason and she implores Ric to drop the charges against Ric because they won't stick. She questions Ric about what happened with Jason and Ric tells her his version of what happened. She then asks Sonny what he saw as an eyewitness. Sonny tells Ric and Alexis that he did not see Jason touch Ric at all. Ric is furious and asks Sonny if he is implying that Ric beat himself up. Alexis tells Ric to drop the charges again. She points out that it is his word against Sonny and Jason's and that he has no forensic evidence or witnesses. Sonny threatens Ric and tells him that if he keeps pushing the issue, then he is going to get hurt. Ric very reluctantly agrees to drop the charges. 

Dr. Lee brings the results to Elizabeth. She gives her the envelope and told her they were sealed before she saw the results. She told her that she is the only one who will know who the father is. Elizabeth goes outside and opens the envelope, but a lady in labor walks up before she can read the results. Elizabeth is back inside General Hospital and she runs into Sonny. She tells Sonny about how she lost the test results. Elizabeth and Sonny are discussing the pros and cons of both Jason and Lucky being the father of the baby. Elizabeth feels Jason would be a great father. She says the Lucky she married was also a wonderful father but he is a different person that the Lucky she knows now. Sonny points out that he is trying to get better and if he does he will be a great father again. Sonny and Elizabeth go back outside to look for the results and they find the paper in the bushes. Sonny picks up the paternity results and hands them to Elizabeth. He asked if she would like some privacy, and she let him know that it was alright. After she read the paternity test results, she let Sonny know that it was what she had expected and that it was for the best. Sonny assumed that the father was Lucky and let her know that it was for the best because Jason was not ready to be a father, or to take care of a family. He reminded Liz that Jason's responsibilities were very dangerous, and that it would be hard to have a family with the life he leads. She understood, and said that she knew that she would have to give both of her children the love and support they needed. Sonny told her that he hoped that eventually her and Lucky would patch things up and get back together. She let him know that she would do whatever was best for her children. Elizabeth was leaving a message to Jason regarding the paternity test, when Ric came by and told her that his marriage to Alexis was ending. She was sorry about what he was going through and he commented on how they both were going through the same thing at the same time. When Liz tried to say that maybe the stress of Alexis' illness was keeping them apart, he let her know that it wasn't the case, and that it was more that they had settled for each other since neither one of them got over the true person they loved. 

Carly saw Elizabeth working at the hospital and assumed that, by her matter-of-factness, Lucky was the father. She hightailed it to Jason's penthouse, where he demanded to know what was wrong. She told him Liz's baby was sired by Lucky. Jason responded that Alexis knows about Ric and Sam. Carly was stunned at her sympathy for Alexis and advised Jason to rush to Sam and tell her that he's not the father of Liz's baby. Liz went to Jason's and said he knows Lucky's the father of her baby. He said he'd always be there for her and they'd always be friends. "Did it turn out the way you wanted?" Liz asked. Sam's arrival interrupted the exchange and asks Elizabeth if she got the paternity test results back yet? Jason tells her that Lucky is the baby's father. Elizabeth thanks Jason and they agree to remain friends. After Elizabeth leaves, Sam asks Jason if he is disappointed. Jason hides his disappointment and tells Sam that it is best for everyone that Lucky is the father. 

Bernie calls Jason and tells him that the police are raiding Sonny's penthouse, the warehouse, and the business are being raided simultaneously. They meet with Bernie on the docks. He reports he removed anything that could have been problematic so Rick didn't get anything he could use. Sonny tells Bernie that he and Jason are going to make some serious changes to prevent Rick from taking this any farther. Sonny warns Jason that Rick will use Elizabeth to provoke Jason and that he has to be able to handle it. Meanwhile, Elizabeth looks at the paternity results and burns them with a lighter. Jason admits that he was a little disappointed that he didn't turn out to be the father but thinks it is for the best because Lucky is getting better and he would be better for the baby and wouldn't be putting the baby in danger like he would. He admits he did was getting his hopes up that he was the father. Jason runs into an obviously upset Elizabeth on the docks. He asks if she is okay and she tells him that today is her first wedding anniversary. Elizabeth tells Jason she feels like such a failure because her marriage fell apart, Lucky got hooked on pain pills and had an affair. She says she doesn't even know if Lucky remembers that today is their anniversary. 

Jason visits Alexis at the hospital and he asks her if she can forgive Sam? Alexis turns it around and asks Jason if he can forgive her? Jason tells Alexis that he is trying to because he wants a life with Sam. As Jason is telling Alexis this, Elizabeth is standing at the door and overhears. Liz runs into Jason on the docks and he tells her that Rick had Sam arrested on trumped up charges. He warns her that Rick's marriage to Alexis is over and now he has turned his attention to Liz. He asks her to be careful and watch out. Jason believes Rick has a vendetta towards him as he is mad that Jason slept with Liz and could have been the father of her baby. Jason asks if he thinks Rick would hurt her? She admits that Rick can do horrendous things in the name of love. She tearfully tells Jason that she is barely hanging on and she can't take it if Rick "goes off the rails". Meanwhile, Rick is taking pictures of them as Jason takes her in his arms and assures her that he won't let Rick hurt her. Ric shows up at the hospital to see Elizabeth. He asks her if Jason has contacted her? Elizabeth tells him he hasn't. Ric tells her that he has had Jason under surveillance for quite awhile and that he has a picture of her and Jason that implies that they are more than just friends. Elizabeth denies they are more than friends and that she plans on reconciling with Lucky. He shows her the picture anyway. Ric tells her that Jason helped Sam escape from jail and that they are on the run. He warns her not to help Jason and to contact him if Jason calls her. Elizabeth tells him that Jason won't call her. 

Jason showed up at the hospital disguised as a doctor and asked Liz for help in getting Ric's cell phone. Liz was able to lift it and get it to Jason. He cloned the phone and handed it back to her. Epiphany witnessed the exchange and chastised Liz for helping a fugitive while she's pregnant. Jason returned from his errand, found Sam's note that she had gone to the cemetary and got upset. Ric's cloned phone rang and Jason listened in as the cops reported that Sam's at the grave site. They moved in and Jason winced as he heard a shot fired. Jason wants to go and see how Sam is doing at the hospital though Sonny warns him the cops will be expecting him. Sam is only grazed in the arm by a bullet and is only bleeding a little bit. Ric calls for an ambulance and insists to the cops that she needs to go to the hospital to get checked out so everything is by the book. Sam yells at Ric for setting her up and accuses him of trying to lay a trap for Jason by making him think she has been hurt badly enough to be admitted at the hospital. Ric orders the EMTs to sedate her when she tries to take a swing at him and calls him a pig. Sam is sedated enough to make her pass out. Sam is brought through the emergency room and Robin and Patrick are paged to the ER. 

Robin sees Sam being wheeled into the ER and is told she suffered a superficial gunshot wound. She asks Epiphany about her but Ric steps in and tells Robin that Sam was sedated because she got a little excited when she was captured. Elizabeth is on duty and becomes concerned about Sam as well. Ric orders Ephiphany to hook up a police officer to leads and to say she is Sam. He warns her he knows who her son is and who he works for. Ric tells Elizabeth that he doesn't want to get her involved and suggests that she get assigned to a different floor. Ric leaks phony information to the press and they announce on the TV news that Sam was captured and is in critical condition. Sonny shows up at the half-way house that Jason is hiding in and the two of them see the news clip. Jason really gets scared for Sam and wants to go see her at the hospital. Sonny warns him not to play Ric's game and fall into the trap he is setting for him. Ric makes Epiphany follow his orders and pretend that she is treating Sam when he is actually putting a female undercover cop who looks like Sam to pose as her to set a trap for Jason. Sam is put in some other hospital room. Elizabeth finds her lying in some hospital bed under an assumed name and notices she is heavily sedated and strapped in restraints. 

Elizabeth tries to talk to a sedated Sam. Sam tells her that she needs her to warn Jason not to come to the hospital because Ric is trying to trap him. Elizabeth leaves her room and Ric grabs her and puts his hand over her mouth. He tells Elizabeth she wasn't supposed to see Sam and knows too much. Carly hides a gun in her purse and walks around the ER. Jason shows up dressed like a doctor. Carly sees him and lets him know she saw him. Carly creates a distraction by pulling out her gun and points it at Sonny and tells him he is going to pay for what he did. Liz assured Ric she wouldn't blow his trap for Jason. He then got a call that Carly had flipped out in the ER. "I'll make you pay!" Carly yelled as she trained her gun on Sonny. Jason slipped by during the ruckus and entered what he assumed was Sam's room but was confronted by an armed policewoman. Before she could call for backup, Jason overpowered her. Ric realized Carly was intentionally causing a diversion and discovered Jason had escaped. Ric then quarantined Carly, Jax and Sonny for questioning. Liz found Jason and he said he needed her help to get Sam out of the hospital. Jason then took Epiphany hostage and dragged her onto the elevator. Turns out she was part of the charade as Liz disguised Sam and wheeled her out of her room. Ric was infuriated to find Sam was missing while Jason was able to bolt from the hospital. Liz took Sam to a safe place where she was reunited with Jason. Ric had placed a tracking device on Liz and discovered where they were located. Jason discovers the tracking device in Elizabeth's pocket so he and Sam leave. Ric busts the door to the apartment where Elizabeth is down and barges in. Elizabeth is angry at Ric and she denies having any idea where Sam and Jason are. The Super comes in and demands to know what is going on. He tells Ric that Elizabeth was interested in renting the apartment but she can forget it now because he does not need people renting who are in trouble with the police. 

Alcazar told Ric he has to assume Spinelli talked, so Ric has to destroy the flash drive and kill Jason now! Sonny told Jason and Sam to turn themselves in, because cooperating will keep them from being shot as fugitives and expose the frame-up. When Lucky returned to the police department Ric said he'll give Lucky Jason's case. Mac objected, so Lucky took him aside and apologized for hurting Maxie. Mac warned Lucky that if he backslides, Mac will bust him personally. Ric told Alcazar that Sonny brokered a deal for Jason and Sam to turn themselves in and he realizes the frame-up will be exposed. Alcazar declared they all have to die before surrendering. Ric balked at killing Sonny, but Alcazar said he couldn't guarantee Sonny's safety when the bullets start flying tomorrow.

Ric shows up at Luke and Laura's wedding reception to arrest Sonny for aiding in Jason and Sam's escape. Sonny warns him about arresting him and that he is sure that right now Jason and Sam are going to present evidence that he set Sam up. Sonny guesses that he is going to have Jason and Sam ambushed on their way to turn themselves in. Carly accuses him of trying to get rid of Jason. Carly asked Ric if he did set them up and she told him that they still had fifteen minutes left. Elizabeth listens to the argument and then passes out on the floor. This brings everyone's attention onto her lying on the floor. Jason, Sam, and Spinelli head out of the apartment and get in the car. Jason is about to turn on the ignition and stops suddenly. He orders Sam and Spinelli to get out of the car right now. They get out of the car moments before it blows up. Lucky and Emily helped Elizabeth. Edward walked in and demanded to know what was going on. Carly told him to ask Ric. Ric said he was doing his job. Sonny had a cell phone in his hand and Ric asked him if he was trying to call Jason. Carly told him if anything happened to Jason she would kill him. Sonny told Ric to check his watch. They still had ten minutes unless he wanted all the witnesses at the reception to testify that he jumped the gun. Ric told him that he made the deal with Mac not him. Then he said he may have the surrender time wrong and he will wait and give them the benefit of the doubt. Ric was concerned about Elizabeth as Lucky and Emily had her sit down. Ric's phone rang. He received a phone call that there was an explosion in an ally with gun shots and Jason was seen in the area along with a woman, probably Sam and an unidentified man. He said it looked like Jason changed his mind about giving up. Carly still confronted him that he was on his way over there to make sure. Ric turns to Elizabeth and asked if she was alright? She nodded her head yes. He told her that he was not trying to kill her friend. He was just trying to do his job and asked her if she believed that. She told him that she did. As Ric walked out, Lucky asked Elizabeth why she was covering. 

Dillon told Lulu his family is always looking out for a replacement for Jason. No matter how much they hate the way he lives his life, he will always be the golden boy and the only way that is going to change is if Jason has a baby of his own. Elizabeth was in the same room and heard what he said. She told Lucky she was fine, she was just a little light headed from all the excitement of the day. Lucky added, and worried for Jason. He told her that Jason was addicted to danger as much as he was to pills. He told her that Jason wouldn't give up his addition, but he did because he has a better reason. Jason, Sam and Spinelli hid behind a dumpster as the car exploded. Alcazar's men started shooting at them. They made a run for it and stopped when Spinelli couldn't breathe. Jason and Sam were trying to figure out how they found them. Spinelli told them it was probably him, he went out for a bag of chips. Jason pushed him against the wall, but Sam stopped him just as Alcazar's men found them again and start shooting. Jason was trying to figure out a way to get out. Jason covered as Sam and Spinelli ran. They ran in to a warehouse. As they are going upstairs Diego walks in and saw them. He shot at Sam, but it hit the railing. Sam shot back and hit him. Kristina had run in chasing a dog and witnessed the shooting and screams. Sam ran down to her and asked what she was doing there. The police yell for them to come out with their hands up and it spooked Spinelli and he ran up the stairs. Sam told Jason to go after him, but Jason didn't want to leave her. She told him that Spinelli was their only way out of this, she would stay there with Kristina. The police barged in the warehouse as Sam held Kristina to protect her. Cruz walked in and told the officers to put their guns down. Ric came in and paused for a second as he saw Sam and Kristina, but then he told the police that Jason had to be around there someplace and they went off looking for him. Cruz saw Diego and said that he was dead. Sam told him it was self defense, hand him her gun, and told him that she needed to take care of her sister. Cruz walked them out of the warehouse and two officers saw Jason and Spinelli above them, just as Jason said that was it, they were going to turn themselves in, Spinelli said no way, and ran just as an officer is behind them and told Jason to put his gun down. Jason threw his gun down and Ric ran up and yelled that he has another gun and to shoot! The officer shot and Jason jumped over the side into the water. Sam screamed for Jason and Kristina saw it all. 

Elizabeth was at a church praying for Jason. As she is lighting a candle she heard someone say her name. Jason was on the floor of the church, almost passed out. She is frantic and asked him if he is okay, she told him he had to live for the baby's sake, it isn't Lucky's baby it is his. Elizabeth frantically tries to call for help but Jason stops her because he knows that he can't go to the hospital. They go to Elizabeth's old studio where Elizabeth examines Jason and determines that the bullet is still in his leg. Jason tells her she has to remove it. Elizabeth balks at this and says she can't do it. She calls Sonny to tell him about Jason and Sonny comes over. Once Sonny assesses the situation he also tells Elizabeth that Jason's only chance for survival is if she removes the bullet. Elizabeth takes the bullet out of Jason's leg and tends to his wounds and stays by his side as he sleeps. Lorenzo pays Ric a visit and demands to know what Ric is going to do about Diego's death. Ric offers his sympathy and tells Lorenzo that Sam will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Lorenzo is not satisfied with Ric's response and he vows to avenge Diego's death. Lorenzo informs Ric if he doesn't help then he will be removed. Music montage ends the show as Sonny and Carly kiss, Sam is in jail, Liz cares for Jason. 

At the studio, a recovering Jason asked Elizabeth what she had said to him at the church as he had passed out from loss of blood. She claimed she didn't remember as the night was a blur. She tells him about Ric showing up at the reception. He asks how she is as stress isn't good for the baby. She smiles that he was shot, fell off a building and almost bleed to death and he is worried about her? She assures him that she and the baby are fine now that he is there with them. He tells her that she has saved his life again and he will always be grateful to her. Carly arrived and quickly told Liz that she should get checked out after her fall earlier that night. Liz reluctantly agreed, gave Carly some medical care instructions and left. Once Liz left the room, Jason told Carly that Liz had saved his life and he is very grateful Carly warned Jason not to do something he'll regret. She knows that she should be used to him getting shot but this time it was hard to handle, that she completely lost it when she learned that Rick had set him up. Carly begs him to be more careful. Sonny entered the studio just as Carly was filling in Jason about the kiss. He reported that Sam was okay and that Jax was helping her. Carly then kissed Jason on the head and headed home. 

Elizabeth went to see Jason at her studio, and to take care of him for the day. He tells her that he has to find Spinelli and prove the set up and get Sam released. Emily shows up to bring Liz food and is shocked to find the injured Jason there. She tells him that they family is grieving as they think he is dead. She begs to tell them that he is alive? He says no that the more people that know he is alive the greater the chance that he will get caught. He lets her know that he appreciated that she saved his life and was willing to take care of him, however she should go and spend Thanksgiving with Cameron. At first she was reluctant, afraid that he could get a fever again and need her help, but he persisted, she relented, and left. Jason calls Monica and makes her holiday with the news that he is alive and he is sorry that he worried her. Music montage as the Q's start singing, "We Gather Together" and this goes into a music montage of the Thanksgiving feast at GH, Sam sitting alone in jail, Jason alone in Liz's studio, Liz and Lucky with Cameron.

Elizabeth brings Jason some breakfast and antibiotics and Jason expresses his concerns that Elizabeth is doing too much for him and putting herself, Cameron, and the baby in danger. Elizabeth reassures Jason that she is fine and that she is doing this because she wants to help clear him and Sam. Carly visits Jason at Elizabeth's studio, where he is hiding out, and she tells Jason that she needs him in her life and the only person who understands that is Sonny. She asks Jason to never scare her again and make her think that he is dead because it makes her turn to Sonny for comfort. Ric welcomes Lucky back to the police force and officially reinstates him. Ric gives him his first assignment which is to bring down Jason. 

Alexis tells Ric that Lainey Winters feels that the best thing for helping Kristina deal with the trauma she has experienced is to talk to Sam. She asks Ric to allow Sam to meet with Kristina at the PCPD without any handcuffs, chains, or uniformed guards. Ric is reluctant to give in to Alexis but he finally agrees. Ric is shocked when he sees Kristina and sees first hand how despondent she is. Sam attempts to interact with Kristina which causes Kristina to have a flashback to Sam shooting Diego. She begins screaming and runs to the corner and curls up on the floor. Lainey assures Alexis and Sam that although this was not the reaction they were hoping for, it is also not a bad sign. Lainey encourages Sam to try again but it is too much for Sam and Alexis to deal with. Both Sam and Alexis blame themselves for what happened to Kristina. Alexis feels like she has failed as a mother to all three of her daughters and Sam tries to reassure her that she is not a failure. 

Ric pays Elizabeth a visit at the hospital with the sole purpose of checking up on her and letting her know that Lucky is back at work and that his first assignment is to find Jason. Elizabeth rushes over to the studio to let Jason know about this. Jason points out to Elizabeth that this is all part of Ric's master plan. He figures that either he or Lucky will kill the other and then Elizabeth will hate the one who is left alive. This leaves Ric wide open to swoop in and become the man in Elizabeth's life. While they are talking Lucky knocks on the door looking for Elizabeth and Jason hides in the closet as they talk. Lucky explained to Liz that he was back on the force and that his first assignment was to bring Jason in dead or alive. Liz expressed her confidence that Lucky would handle the case fairly, and do whatever was necessary. Lucky then reluctantly asked her if she knew were Jason was? Liz said she had no idea where he could be. After Lucky left the studio, Jason wondered why Liz was not totally honest with her husband. She let him know that she felt that sharing her indiscretions with Lucky would only give him reasons to fall for his demons again, and she could not share the burden. Jason thought that being honest with Lucky would allow her to trust him again, and allow the two of them a second chance. Liz said that she did not know if she wanted to go down that road again. While they were talking, Stan came by and let them know that he had found one of Spinelli's user names in cyberspace. Using that information he was able to get an address, and Jason was adamant that he was going to go get him to clear Sam's name. Liz tried to convince him to let other people help Sam since he was still recuperating from his injuries. However, Jason was unwilling to let anyone else help Sam. 

Lorenzo surprises Rick at the PCPD and tells him that he has confirmation that Jason is alive! Ric told Lorenzo that Lucky would take care of Jason, however he needed to work on trying to figure out where Spinelli is so that he could not incriminate the two of them for falsifying evidence against Jason. Liz warned Jason that his wound could reopen, but he insisted on finding Spinelli to clear Sam. Jason and Stan tracked Spinelli to a store, whose owner revealed he was snatched up along with a "blonde cutie." Jason stumbled back to his safe room, bleeding. Liz rewrapped his wound and scolded him for taking risks. He tells her she is a fantastic nurse who always takes good care of him. He said it's good he's not her baby's daddy. Liz arrived at the PCPD and gave Sam a cell phone then returned to Jason. Liz returns to Jason's and tells him that the errand was completed. Sam called him, he tells her that he is going to get her out of this and she begs him not to take any crazy risks. Spinelli and Lulu are being held by Alcazar's men. Spinelli rigged an intercom to pick up Alcazar's instructions to his men, "Kill them both and make it look like an accident."
