Jason & Liz #4  November 11, 2002 - June 9, 2006 – 8 hours

11/11/02 Liz is stunned when Courtney informs Liz that Jason married Brenda while Liz was out of town. Courtney tells Liz that Courtney believes that Jason was just trying to help Brenda when he married her, but Liz reminds Courtney that promises mean something to Jason and that would include Jason's marriage vows to Brenda.

11/21/02 Jason approached Liz at her table at Luke's. He told her that Brenda was no longer sick or dying from a disease and that their marriage will be dissolved soon. Liz tells Jason that she doesn't think it would work out between them anyway and that she really doesn't want to hear about his life anymore. Jason accepts what she says but is hurt by her words and heads back to his table. Lucky asks her about her relationship with Jason now. She tells him that they don't have a relationship anymore.

11/22/02 Alcazar's Murder montage

11/27/02Courtney arrives for work at Kelly's and stops to buy a copy of the morning news trumpeting Jason's arrest for Alcazar's murder. Courtney confides in ELizabeth that Courtney believes that A.J. is trying to frame Jason by falsely claiming that A.J. saw Jason driving Alcazar's limousine away from the Quartermaine Mansion. Courtney is surprised when ELizabeth reminds Courtney that Jason does carry out Sonny's orders. ELizabeth further points out that A.J. has had no dealings of any kind with Alcazar as far as anyone knows.

11/28/02 Courtney experiences a series of strange dreams, which are all vaguely similar in the sense that she keeps reliving the same day over and over again with a few different twists.  But as it turns out all the dreams were actually part of another dream, Jason's dream.

12/5/02 Courtney borrows some supplies from Kelly's to use to make a dinner for her and Jason. Liz pretends it doesn't bother her that Courtney and Jason have become such close friends lately. She tells her that she has no problem if Courtney decides to start seeing Jason. Courtney tells her that she is cooking dinner for Jason as a thank you for all the help and safety he has given to her.

12/11/02 When Courtney returns to Kelly's, ELizabeth asks how Courtney's dinner with Jason went? Courtney only says that it was nice. Then Courtney adds since Courtney is going through a divorce and Jason is involved in Brenda's legal problems, it would be a long time before a relationship between Jason and Courtney could turn into anything serious. But Liz remains suspicious that Courtney and Jason's relationship is already no longer platonic.

12/18/02 When Courtney arrives at Kelly's, ELizabeth apologizes for calling Courtney on her cell phone, but Courtney tells Liz that Courtney is fine with the situation. Jason soon arrives at Kelly's and Liz can't help but notice the look that passes between Courtney and Jason. Courtney finishes her shift and motions Jason out to the Christmas tree lot and Jason soon splits but not without ELizabeth noticing that Jason appears to be following Courtney.

After Jason leaves, Carly gleefully informs Liz that it is too late for Liz to be trying to get Jason back because Jason has moved on. But Liz reminds Carly that the reason Liz and Jason’s relationship ended was because Jason lied to Liz.

12/24/02 Liz reads about Jason and Sonny arrested just before Christmas.  Christmas Eve montage

1/8, 1/9, 1/10/03 A Private Investigator enters Kelly's, looking for Courtney. ELizabeth pretends that she needs to call to check about Courtney's newest schedule before she can say when Courtney will be working again. Liz actually tries to call Courtney to warn her and is disappointed when she only reaches the answering machine. When Courtney comes in, Liz loudly informs the investigator that Courtney may not be working until some time next week because they are revising the schedules and Courtney stays mum until the Investigator leaves.

After the P.I. leaves, Liz tells Courtney that the man was a P.I. hired by A.J. and he is having Courtney followed. Liz tells Courtney that the P.I. had reported to A.J. that Courtney had not been sleeping at home and Liz asks Courtney where she has been? Courtney fibs that she has been worried about Mike's drinking and gambling and has been sleeping on her father's couch. Mike calls and tells Liz to give Courtney a message that he hasn't seen his little girl in awhile and he misses her, busting Courtney's lie about spending her nights at Mike's.

Courtney arrives at the apartment she shares with Jason and Liz watches from hiding as Jason arrives home and Courtney rushes into his arms at the door. Liz observes Courtney embracing Jason outside her apartment after she follows her there. Liz is very upset to learn that Courtney lied about being involved with Jason. Liz gets upset again when she sees Jason show up at Kelly's. He approaches her to thank her for warning Courtney about the P.I. that A.J. hired to follow her. Liz tells him she doesn't want to hear it and goes off on him about getting involved with Courtney. He tells her that as far as he was concerned she told him that she couldn't be with him after she found out that Sonny wasn't really dead and he didn't tell her.

Courtney comes by Kelly's. She asks Liz why she is closing Kelly's early for and then thanks her for covering her shift for her so she could go see her father. Liz confronts her about lying to her about seeing Mike. She tells her that Mike called before. Liz calls Courtney a hypocrite and a liar for pretending to be caring and sympathetic when she told her about her feelings for Jason when all along she had her sights on Jason and even probably before she married A.J. Liz stuns Courtney by slapping her face as Jason sees them arguing from outside Kelly's.

  Jason arrives at Kelly's and, finding the door locked, he notices ELizabeth and Courtney arguing inside. When Courtney tells Liz that it was Liz's fault that Jason walked out of Liz's life, Liz slaps Courtney. Liz accuses Courtney of wanting Jason as soon as Courtney first saw Jason. As Liz claims that Courtney only pretended to be sympathetic while Liz confided to Courtney her feelings about Jason, Courtney protests that Courtney tried many times to get Liz and Jason reunited and Liz kept insisting that Liz could never accept Jason's criminal lifestyle. Zander arrives outside but Jason tells Zander to leave.

After Zander leaves, Jason slips into Kelly's through the back. He tells her if she has questions that she should ask him and not Courtney. Liz blasts Jason for moving on from his relationship with Liz to a new relationship with Courtney in the twinkling of an eye. Courtney tells Liz she thought is was over between them because that is what Liz told her. They ask her not to say anything, as it could look bad for Jason and Brenda in the murder trial. Liz says she won't say anything as she doesn't care and tells them they can both go to hell, and storms out.

1/14/03 Liz talks to Courtney about her feelings about Jason. She talks about their past and how she thought as long as they were both honest with each other that things would work between them. Liz learned that he kept a part of himself in reserve from her and that he will do anything that Sonny orders him to, no matter how wrong it is.

2/4/03 Ric takes Liz out for a walk and they stand outside of Jason and Courtney's place. Liz sees them leave together carrying a suitcase and assumes that they are eloping.

2/10/03 ELizabeth went to the hospital to try and see Jason. Carly stopped her and berated her for making up a lie that Jason and Courtney eloping in order to cause them problems with Sonny. Rick was nearby and interrupted their arguing, telling Carly to back off, that ELizabeth was not to blame for Sonny's reaction. Carly told Rick that she, Sonny, and Jason were a family and ELizabeth had torn that apart.

3/7/03 Liz stops by Courtney's by to drop off her paycheck so that Bobbie can record the withdrawal from her books. Courtney doesn't buy her excuse and accuses her of coming over, hoping that Jason was there so she can get back with him. Liz denies she came over to start trouble and points out that Jason left her because Sonny ordered him too. Courtney gets very upset and kicks Liz out of her apartment.

3/10/03 At the Cellar, the hit woman opened fire. Sam missed Sonny and instead shot Ric. Jason gets a call and Jason and Courtney head to GH. ELizabeth told Jason that he should have been hit, not Ric.

3/18/03 Ric pulls Liz into the kitchen at Kelly's. She asks about Benny's funeral and he says that he thinks Sonny really appreciated him being there. Ric and ELizabeth kiss, Jason enters Kelly's and watches them, scowling. When Ric walks back into the restaurant, Jason confronts him. Jason accuses him of lying and warns him if he hurts Sonny or his family that no one will ever see him again.

3/27/03 Sonny trades insults with Jax. Jax hits a nerve when he asks him where his lap boy, Jason is, to stop him from going near him. Sonny breaks a wine bottle and takes the sharp end and hold it near Jax's throat, and threatens to stab him with it. One of Sonny's men calls Jason. Carly answers the phone and tells Jason what is going on. They take off for the club to stop Sonny.

By then, Sonny has had too much to drink and is talking crazy. Jason pulls Sonny off of Jax. He tells Jax to leave Sonny alone and go. Sonny tells Jason to leave him alone and accuses him of betraying him by trying to take over his business and turn his people against him. Jason is hurt by Sonny's words but listens. Sonny tries to throw a punch at Jason but Carly steps in and stops and reminds them they need to stop fighting and act like a family.

3/28/03 Liz runs upstairs and Courtney follows her. When Liz tells her that Jason and Sonny are about to kill each other and she is going to call the police, Courtney stops her. They return downstairs and see Sonny and Jason about to come to blows. Liz points out this is why she wanted to call the police. Carly gets Sonny to walk away and to leave. Ric tells Jason that Sonny made it clear that he isn't welcome there, that Sonny doesn't trust him and fired him. Ric suggests that Jason take Courtney and get out of town for a while.

Courtney interrupts and says that they will come to the club anytime they want and who died and made Ric God? Liz tells Jason how sorry she is for the way Sonny is treating him, after everything Jason has give up for Sonny (meaning his relationship with Liz?) and now Sonny throws him out like yesterday's trash.

4/17/03 Jason watches and waits outside of Kelly's and spots Ric coming downstairs from his room to talk and kiss Liz. Ric spots him and goes outside to confront him. He asks Jason if he is spying on him now. Jason just stands there and scowls at him. Ric taunts Jason and brags about how he now has Sonny's trust and that he works for him and suggests that Jason may be the real trader.

When Ric questions Jason's loyalty to Sonny and makes a snide remark about Courtney, Jason punches him in the stomach and grabs him by the collar and slams him against the doors at Kelly's and warns him to never question his loyalty to Sonny. Ric makes a remark about how he needs him as his alibi and that if he doesn't stop it he may find himself charged with murder. Ric takes off and Liz comes out and asks him what he did to Ric. Jason warns her to stay away from Ric and that he is bad news and can't be trusted. Liz tells him she doesn't believe a word that he says.

4/23/03 At one of Sonny's Safe Houses, Ric spots a blond figure through the window and empties his gun at the figure's head, thinking it is Faith. When Ric turns around, he finds that Sonny has been standing behind him. Sonny names Ric as Faith's silent partner. Ric tries to explain that he believed that Faith was a threat to Sonny, but Sonny accuses Ric of being the one who paid for the hit woman who shot up Carly's Club and almost killed Sonny's pregnant wife. Sonny informs Ric that Ric is going down for the threat to Sonny's family.

Sonny tells Ric that the only thing Ric is going to be allowed to say is to give Sonny a reason why Ric became so involved with Faith in tormenting Sonny's family? Later when Sonny returns to the safe house, he finds the guard unconscious and Ric has escaped. A wounded Ric arrives at ELizabeth's empty Studio and slips inside. Liz arrives rushes to Ric's side and frantically begins trying to stop the bleeding.

4/24/03 Jason goes to Liz's studio and asks her to let him in. He asks her if she has seen Ric but she lies and tells him she hasn't. Jason finds a bloody bandage in the sink and reaLizes she is lying. He surprises her when he asks her if she is willing to protect a rapist. Liz doesn't believe him and thinks he is using her rape experience to get her to turn on Ric. She kicks him out and refuses to tell him anything. Jason is surprised she would think of him so badly but he leaves. He waits outside her studio and calls one of the men to follow Liz, hoping she will lead them to Ric.

4/25/03 Jason gets a call from Max telling him where Liz is. Jason goes to the park and finds Liz talking to some man that isn't Ric. Jason tells the man to leave and accuses Liz of using the man as a decoy to allow Ric to escape. The man is insulted and leaves. Jason asks Liz how far she will go to protect a rapist. Liz doesn't believe him and tells him she will protect Ric if she wants if it means keeping him from being killed by Sonny. Jason tells her that Ric hasn't called the police, which means he is hiding something. Liz doesn't like it that Jason has a good point and listens. Liz tells him she doesn't know where Ric is and that she is telling him the truth. Ric kidnaps Courtney and when Jason bursts in, Ric pulls a gun on Jason and tells him to drop his gun or he will shoot Courtney!

4/28/03 ELizabeth is at the Corinthos penthouse, she tells Carly that if Sonny and Jason find Ric that she will never hear from him again. Jason burst in and announced that Courtney had been kidnapped. He turned to ELizabeth and demanded that she tell him everything she knew about where Ric would have taken Courtney. ELizabeth refused to believe that Ric would have kidnapped Courtney or raped Carly, but she told Jason that she didn't know where he would go anyway. Carly warns Liz that the Ric she thinks she knows doesn't exist. Jason told her to get out.

4/29/03 Ric leaves Courtney in an abandoned mine shaft.

4/30/03 Jason pulls Courtney to safety only minutes before the shaft collapses.

5/2/03 Liz goes to GH to see Courtney.  Courtney doesn't know why she is there at first. Liz tells her that she talked to Ric earlier and Courtney assumes that Liz believed every excuse Ric told her and asks her how he explained what he did to her? Liz cuts her off and tells her that Ric has been lying to her and she came to see her to get the truth. Courtney explains to her what happened and tells her that Ric is Sonny's brother and that he has been working for Sonny so he can get his revenge on him and destroy him. Liz is shocked by this news but reaLizes it explains so much about Ric and his actions.

6/5/03 Jason gets a call a short time later from one of his men and he informs Jason that Sonny never arrived at the airport as he had planned. Carly gets a bad feeling about this. Meanwhile, a tied up and bruised Sonny is dragged into a chair. He wakes up to see a familiar face. The man talking to him looks identical to the late Luis Alcazar.

6/6/03 Jason goes to Ric's house and barges in with his goon Max. Jason grabs Ric by the throat and demands to know what he did to Sonny (this time it wasn't Ric, but Alcazar who kidnapped Sonny). Jason lets go of Ric and takes off. Ric comforts Liz, who hates what Jason does for a living. He tells her that he and Sonny will get what is coming to them eventually.

6/13/03 Ric carries an unconscious Carly into his secret room as he kidnaps her, planning on giving her baby to ELizabeth. Carly wakes up feeling groggy from having been drugged and sees Ric and starts to yell.

6/16/03 ELizabeth was startled to answer a knock at the door and find Jason and Sonny standing there. Ric observed their arrival on the screens from inside the secret room.

6/17/03 Jason searched the house while ELizabeth told Sonny that Ric had nothing to do with Carly's disappearance. Ric gagged Carly and slipped back into the living room. Ric pretended to be surprised about Carly's disappearance, but Sonny and Jason didn't believe him. They left but vowed to return.

6/20 & 6/23/03 Jason shows up at Ric's house and search's Ric's empty house. ELizabeth enters and points a gun at Jason and threatens to use it if he moves. Liz asked why he was in her house? Jason calmed ELizabeth down and told her that Ric took Carly, though ELizabeth continued to insist that Ric could not have done such a thing. Courtney called Jason to tell him that Michael had said that Ric took Carly. Jason told ELizabeth to be careful and rushed to the penthouse.  When Sonny returned, Jason and Courtney told him that Michael had identified Ric as Carly's abductor.

6/26/03 Carly tells Ric that she saw Faith poison the lemonade out in the living room. Ric doesn't want to believe it and thinks Carly is trying to trick him into opening the door to the panic room so she can scream out to ELizabeth as he tries to go and stop her from drinking the lemonade. Carly can't believe he is willing to take the chance that ELizabeth will drink the lemonade and be poisoned and not stop it because he is afraid of what she will do and that it is a trick.

Carly insists Faith poisoned the lemonade and fears for Liz when she sees her pour a glass of lemonade and drink some of it. She tells him that he knows that Faith poisoned her own grandmother and some other person before. ELizabeth takes a drink and starts to feel weird. She passes out on the floor after holding her chest. Ric opens up the room and goes to her. He checks her pulse and calls 911 and starts to panic. Carly watches from the panic room.

6/27/03 After Ric sees Liz at GH, he leaves her room and sees Jason heading toward her room. He gets in his face and warns him not to go and interrogate her about Carly's kidnapping and that she has been through enough. Jason grabs Ric and throws him against the wall. He puts him in a chokehold and orders him to tell him where Carly is being held. Ric denies he has her. Courtney tries to stop him but Jason is too focused on threatening Ric with bodily harm.

 Jason beat Ric until Garcia pulled a gun on Jason and ordered him to release Ric. ELizabeth ran to Ric's side and yelled at Jason. Ric told Garcia that this was not the first time Jason had attacked him and that he wanted to press charges. Courtney tried to explain that Jason was under a great deal of stress with Carly's disappearance, but Jason was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

6/30/03 Jason attacked Ric at General Hospital and demanded to know where Carly was. Jason beat Ric until Garcia pulled a gun on Jason and ordered him to release Ric. ELizabeth ran to Ric's side and yelled at Jason. Ric told Garcia that this was not the first time Jason had attacked him and that he wanted to press charges. Courtney tried to explain that Jason was under a great deal of stress with Carly's disappearance, but Jason was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

Sonny turned to leave just as the police were bringing Jason in. Sonny spoke to Ric alone and told him that he believed that Ric had nothing to do with Carly's disappearance. Sonny asked Ric to drop the charges against Jason as a gesture of their truce. In return Sonny promised to make sure that Jason never bothered him again, and Ric agreed. Ric dropped the charges but filed a restraining order against Jason.

7/11/03 Liz notices the cabinet to the bookshelf is open and goes to shut it. She notices a white button attached to the inside of the bookcase. She looks at it and wonders what is for. Carly watches her and urges her to push the button when she reaLizes what Liz found. Jason's technician tells Jason that Liz is home and called Ric for some aspirin and that she is making noise near where they heard that strange sound coming from. Liz pushes the button and is shocked speechless when the panic room door opens and she sees Carly near the doorway thanking her for finally finding her and that Ric kept her there. Liz is immobile and is stunned at the sight of Carly.

7/14/03 Still chained, Carly desperately yelled to ELizabeth, but ELizabeth was frozen with shock. Carly begged her to call 911. ELizabeth picked up the phone and startled to dial, but was suddenly overcome with vertigo and collapsed to the floor. Carly yelled for ELizabeth to toss her the phone. ELizabeth managed to do so just before passing out, but the phone was just out of Carly's reach. Carly struggled and finally managed to reach the phone with an umbrella, but just then Ric entered.

He grabbed the phone from Carly's hands and rushed to ELizabeth's side. He demanded to know what Carly had done to ELizabeth. Screaming, Carly told Ric he had hurt ELizabeth with the pills he had secretly been feeding her. She demanded that he let her go before ELizabeth awakes and tells everyone that she saw Carly. Flustered and anger, Ric closed Carly back up in the room and rushed ELizabeth to the hospital where she was admitted.

7/16/03 Courtney and Jason arrive at the hospital with Michael and Maxie tells Jason about ELizabeth's pulmonary embolism. Jason and Courtney slip in to ELizabeth's room. When Jason tells Courtney that it is strange that ELizabeth would suddenly be in critical condition only weeks after marrying Ric, Courtney goes to find a doctor to find out about ELizabeth's condition. Michael spots Ric in the hallway and tells Ric pointblank that Michael saw Ric take his mother! In the meantime, Jason speaks to an unconscious ELizabeth and tells her that Jason is afraid that if ELizabeth stays with Ric, she will end up dead! At that moment, ELizabeth flat-lines and Jason stares in horror at the monitor!

7/17/03 The crash cart was rushed into ELizabeth's room and Tony succeeded in getting her heart beating again. Jason told Tony to notify hospital security and tell them not to allow Faith Roscoe anywhere near ELizabeth. Tony told Jason and Courtney that ELizabeth should make a full recovery.

7/18 & 7/21/03 Ric returns to the house and tells Carly that he is letting her go because of his love for ELizabeth and lets her call Sonny to tell him where she is. She calls Sonny and tells him where she is.  Lorenzo visits ELizabeth in her room. He tells her that Ric has Carly in a secret room in her house. Liz is disturbed by what he tells her but the information triggers her memory and she has flashbacks and remembers seeing Carly in the panic room.

Liz tells the police that Ric kidnapped Carly. Sonny and Jason arrive at Ric's and find no sign of Carly but they find Ric lying on the floor of the panic room, unconscious. ELizabeth beings having flashbacks and remembers seeing Carly in the panic room. Sonny and Jason arrive at Ric's and find no sign of Carly and Ric lying on the floor.

7/22/03 Jason entered Ric's room and asked about Carly. He pulled the call button out of the wall and threatened Ric by holding his head in a death grip. Jason accused Ric of working with Alcazar all along. Ric dared Jason to kill him, since he wouldn't find Carly anyway. Jason took Ric to the room where he'd held Carly and chained him up.

7/23/03 Jason tells Ric that someone will come back for Ric if they need Ric's information. Otherwise, Jason will dump Ric's body somewhere nice and Jason leaves Ric alone in the Panic Room. Later, Ric is surprised when ELizabeth returns home to pack some of her things. Ric desperately tries to signal ELizabeth even though Ric knows there is no way for Ric to contact Liz.

Before ELizabeth leaves with her bags, she takes one last look at the Panic Room and discovers Ric! Ric tells ELizabeth that Jason locked Ric in the Panic Room. When Ric expresses the belief that his prayers have been answered, Ric pleads with ELizabeth to believe that Ric was trying to straighten things out and put his life with ELizabeth back on the right path, when Alcazar stepped in and took Carly before Carly could be released. But ELizabeth coldly informs her husband that he can rot in the Panic Room for all she cares. ELizabeth shuts the door again and walks out of the house as Ric watches Liz's retreating back on the Panic Room Monitor.

 7/24/03 ELizabeth shows up at the house and lets herself into the panic room by using the button in the bookcase. She tells him that she couldn't sleep last night because she kept thinking about what he did to her and needed to know from him why he lied to her and she believed him after what he had already done to others before she took him back and married him. She tells him she needs to know so that she can make sure not to let any other man do the same to her again. She feels that she has no judgment when it comes to picking men and that she seems to be attracted to men who go to jail.

Ric tells her that she did nothing wrong and that he was the bad person for hurting her like that. He tells her that her love and faith in him made him let Carly go. ELizabeth doesn't believe him. She tells him that she is going to let him go only because she can't let Sonny or Jason torture and kill him and she asks him if there is any place he can go and hide.

A noise draws their attention. They see Jason coming up the front walk. Ric tells her he wants her to go and let Jason do what he needs to do. ELizabeth runs out of the panic room and shuts it closed with the button and hides in the hallway. Jason lets himself in and opens the panic room. She watches in horror as Jason empties his gun with several shots in Ric's direction. ELizabeth screams for Jason to stop it. Jason hears her and gets angry with her for coming over to see Ric after what he did to her.

ELizabeth fights him as he drags her out of the house and into the

car and continues to fight him as he carries her into Sonny's penthouse. Courtney comes downstairs when she hears ELizabeth accusing Jason of killing Ric. ELizabeth tells Courtney what Jason did and how he dragged her out of the car and how Max took Ric's body in a bag and threw in the trunk. When Courtney doesn't act surprised, ELizabeth reaLizes she already knew what Jason was going to do and didn't stop him. ELizabeth plans to call the cops and report Jason but he stops her from making the call.

ELizabeth tells Jason that Ric did some horrible things but didn't deserve to be killed by him. Jason tries to explain that things aren't the way they appear but ELizabeth heads to the door to leave to report them. She hears Ric's voice telling her to wait. She turns around to see Ric at the top of the staircase, alive and well.

8/22/03 Jason shows up to see Emily. Jason starts to get choked up when he sees her. Emily tells him that she needs to know how to die and that she wants to make this better for those she loves and is scared. Jason asks her if she thinks she is dying. She tells him she does. He tells her that she needs to use this time as if it is a gift to her and to tell everyone she loves what she needs to tell them before she dies and not to leave things unsaid.

8/26/03 The doctor breaks the news to Monica, Zander, Liz and Lucky that Emily has meningitis. Liz and Lucky embrace and Ric appears. Lucky tells Ric to leave. Ric tells Liz that all of the charges have been dropped and he has a chance to start over. Liz is stunned that charges were dropped. She tells Ric that he hurt her, but what he did to Carly was worse and that he belonged in jail. She tells him that she doesn't care about him anymore. 

9/2/03 In the chapel, Jason prays for Emily. He asks for Emily's fear to be taken away. He can't imagine this world without Emily. He asks for help for it to be okay for Emily to go. Liz puts her hand on his shoulder. Liz sits next to Jason and tells him how beautiful and heartbreaking the wedding was. Liz tells Jason that she can't imagine life without Emily. Jason puts a comforting arm around Liz as she lays her head on his shoulder. Courtney sees from outside of the window.

9/3/03 Courtney takes a handful of painkillers. When Carly arrives, Courtney admits that she saw ELizabeth and Jason in the chapel with their arms around each other when Courtney went over to the Hospital to find Jason the previous evening. As Courtney confides how angry it made her to see Jason with his arm around ELizabeth, Carly insists that Jason and ELizabeth are both close to Emily. Carly warns Courtney not to let her imagination run away with her where Jason and ELizabeth are concerned!

Courtney confides to Carly that she is afraid that Jason will turn to ELizabeth for comfort because ELizabeth would be able eventually to provide Jason with his own child! Carly urges Courtney to quit worrying about the situation and, instead, go to Jason, admit that Courtney is upset about seeing Jason with his arms around ELizabeth in the chapel, and remind Jason that Courtney wants Jason to feel that he can turn to Courtney whenever Jason is hurting. Although Carly warns Courtney that she should not be taking the pain killers along with gallons of coffee, Courtney has some more coffee and pain killers as soon as Carly leaves.

As Courtney sits alone in Jason's Penthouse, still taking large doses of painkillers and washing them down with coffee, Courtney is more than a little miffed when ELizabeth suddenly arrives, announcing that she needs to tell Jason about Emily's miraculous recovery. However, Courtney blasts ELizabeth for trying to move in on Jason while Jason is upset by news about his sister's uncertain future.

Courtney coldly reminds ELizabeth that there were many other ways to give Jason the good news about Emily's recovery without showing up, unannounced, on Jason's doorstep! As Courtney angrily reminds ELizabeth that Ric was just as sick and twisted as Courtney had warned ELizabeth that Ric would be, Jason suddenly arrives home and demands to know what is going on!

9/4/03 Courtney's erratic behavior toward ELizabeth's visit to the penthouse starts to concern Jason. ELizabeth tells Jason, who just walked in that she just came over to tell him the good news about how Emily woke up and is getting a little better. Jason thanks her but tells her that he saw Emily and knows already. Courtney asks her to leave and accuses her of coming over to be near Jason. ELizabeth leaves.

 Jason asks her what is wrong with her. Courtney blows up at Jason and accuses him of wanting to be with ELizabeth because she could give him a baby if he wants one. Jason tells her he doesn't want a baby with anyone else. Courtney gets more upset and irrational and tells him to go be with ELizabeth if he wants to and asks him to leave. She also accuses him of not talking to her about how he feels and admits she saw him with ELizabeth at the chapel and that they looked cozy. Jason tries to explain that it looked like Emily was going to die and they were just comforting each other about her.

ELizabeth shows up at the park at Carly's request. Carly asks her to stay away from Jason and that he loves Courtney and is happy with her. ELizabeth disagrees about that and tells her that Jason isn't married and she can spend time with him if she wants to. Carly warns her to back off. Ric happens to be there and overhears the conversation. He asks ELizabeth what the conversation was about concerning Jason. ELizabeth tells him it is none of his business and walks away.

9/5/03 Ric finds Jason sitting on a park bench and accuses him of meeting ELizabeth there and accuses him of wanting ELizabeth back. Jason tells him that ELizabeth isn't his wife anymore and that he is alone. Jason runs into ELizabeth on the docks and sits with her to talk about Emily's condition. Ric spies on them talking. ELizabeth apologizes to Jason for not listening to him when he warned her about Ric. She tells him that she is moving on with her life and divorcing Ric. She and Jason call a truce. Jason leaves.

Ric confronts her about her friendship with Jason and accuses her of trying to get him back. ELizabeth tells him that Jason was her friend before he came into her life and will be her friend long after he is gone. Ric grabs ELizabeth as she starts to walk away from him and shakes her. He tells her that he has always loved her and that he can't believe she won't give him a second chance to prove it. ELizabeth tells him that she is divorcing him and to stay out of her life. Faith is hiding around the corner and overhears this exchange. Later, Courtney gets behind the wheel of her car. Ric gets behind the wheel of his car, as well as Faith. ELizabeth is crossing the street when a car comes barreling down the street and hits her.

9/8/03 Faith stands in the street looking down over Liz. Faith smiles and says how glad she is that Ric is free now and walks away, leaving Liz lying on the ground. The paramedics take Liz to the hospital.

9/10/03 As Bobbie accompanies Emily on her walk around the hospital, they hear ELizabeth cry out. When they rush to assist ELizabeth, they find Liz crumpled on the floor. Liz tearfully reports that she cannot see!

9/12/03 At Carly's club, Carly reads the back of the photo again from Alcazar and the picture of a car with its headlight broken. She quickly puts it back in the envelope when she hears Sonny return to the room. Jason and Courtney show up all rested and happy together. Carly is very pleased until Courtney informs them that they came home to find that Courtney's car was stolen. Carly tells them that ELizabeth was hit by a car and that it was a hit-and-run accident.

Courtney tells Carly and Sonny about how she got dependent on some painkillers and that is why she was acting so irrational lately. Carly starts to wonder about Courtney. Jason and Courtney head off to see ELizabeth at G.H. Carly meets with Alcazar. He tells her that he saw Courtney hit ELizabeth with her car but was most likely unaware of it because she was so high on painkillers at the time. Carly isn't ready to believe that Courtney hit ELizabeth and asks him if he is trying to set up Courtney to get to Sonny. Alcazar admits that his knowledge of the accident helps him. Carly agrees to keep what she knows a secret if he agrees to keep this thing about Courtney a secret.

Jason goes into ELizabeth's room to talk to her. He sees her snap at the physical therapist and suggests she let her help her even if the blindness is temporary. ELizabeth thanks him for coming and talking with her. Courtney watches them talk from the doorway. Courtney has a dream that she is driving and that her pills fell on the floor of the car and that she went to reach for them and hit someone, that someone being herself. Courtney wakes up from the dream. Jason asks her what is wrong. Courtney wonders if she may have been the one who hit ELizabeth with her car and not known it because she was so high on the pills she was taking.

9/15/03 Jason comforts Courtney about the nightmare she had about driving a car that hits herself. She wonders if it will trigger a memory, Jason tells her that it was a just a dream and it doesn't mean anything. Courtney goes to Liz to apologize for her actions the day she was hit. Liz remembers the color of the car and wants to report it to the police, she asks Courtney to hand her the phone and she tells Liz that maybe she should wait. Liz wonders why and Ric overhears. Courtney tells her that she should be sure before she calls the police. 

As Courtney leaves, she tells Liz that Jason really cares for her and that if Jason can help, she wouldn't want to stand in the way. Outside of the hospital room, Ric approaches Courtney and begins to question her about what she is doing there. Ric asks her where Courtney was the night that she was hit?

9/16/03 Ric confronts Courtney about Liz's accident and her whereabouts on the night of the accident as Jason listens. Suddenly, Jason attacks Ric and tells him that if he has a problem with Courtney, he needs to talk to Jason. He pins Ric against the wall and tells him that Courtney was with Jason the night of Liz's accident and he needs to end this talk about Courtney hitting Liz. Jason releases Ric and Ric leaves. Courtney tells Jason that Liz remembered that the car that hit her is the same color as hers. She asks him if he is covering something up and he tells her that he isn't, but he will find out.

9/17/03 Office Andy Capelli shows Scott the forensics report on Courtney's car just as Courtney marches into Scott's office and announces that she believes that she was the one who ran ELizabeth Webber down with her car!

9/18/03 Alcazar shows up and tells Mac that he saw the accident and that the driver was not Courtney and that the person who hit ELizabeth was a man with long blonde hair who is willing to admit he hit ELizabeth and ran away with the car because he had stolen it from Courtney and didn't want to get caught with it. Mac is weary of Alcazar's story but agrees to check it out and see if the man outside's story checks out. The police forensic report proves that Courtney's car was the vehicle that hit ELizabeth because the DNA on the headlight matches ELizabeth's.

Sonny asks to speak to Alcazar while Mac goes to check out the information. He asks him what he wants for helping to cover for Courtney. He tells him that he did it for Carly but Sonny doesn't buy it. Mac returns and has Courtney sent back up and released and the charges dropped. ELizabeth tells Ric that she just saw a shadow right now and is ecstatic. She stands up with his help and touches his face and tells him she can see the shadow of his face and touches him.

9/24/03 Jason arrives at the hospital to visit ELizabeth after ELizabeth invited him to stop by. ELizabeth reports that the police will be there soon to take ELizabeth's statement about the hit and run and ELizabeth asks Jason why Courtney confessed to hitting ELizabeth if Courtney did not really run ELizabeth down. ELizabeth also asks why an unknown person would later confess to the same incident.

Ric arrives at that moment and suggests that Alcazar paid someone to confess to running ELizabeth down to get Courtney off the hook so that Sonny would be obligated to Lorenzo. Ric warns ELizabeth that Jason is just taking advantage of ELizabeth's trust to help Courtney escape prosecution for running ELizabeth down. ELizabeth refuses to listen to Ric and Jason denies all of Ric's suppositions. Jason tells ELizabeth that he was sorry that ELizabeth was hurt but Jason pointedly does not deny that Courtney was driving the car that struck ELizabeth! As Ric and Jason argue, ELizabeth asks Jason to leave.

After Jason leaves, ELizabeth reminds Ric that Ric did once work for Louis Alcazar and Liz suggests that Ric's suppositions about what really happened is just part of Ric's on-going vendetta against Sonny. Ric insists that his vendetta against Sonny is over. Ric also reminds ELizabeth that it is not ELizabeth whom Jason loves!

Ric reminds ELizabeth that Courtney is the woman whom Jason loves and warns ELizabeth that, because Jason loves Courtney, Jason would be willing to do anything to protect Courtney. Ric observes that, even though ELizabeth knows that Jason is in love with another woman, ELizabeth still trusts everything Jason tells her!

9/29/03 Ric and Liz walk down to the docks and run into Courtney. Ric tells Courtney to leave Liz alone, since she has done enough damage to her already. Liz asks Courtney to walk her back to the hospital. She tells Liz about the night of the accident and how she doesn't remember hitting her. Liz accepts Courtney's apology for Jason's sake. She tells her that she knows she didn't mean for the accident to happen. Liz tells Courtney that she knows how much Jason loves her and how much he would want Liz to forgive her.

10/21/03 Rick and Liz walk in the park after having dinner together. Ric suggests they start dating and get to know each other again. Jason comes up and confronts Ric about where Carly is? Ric says he doesn't know. Jason says that is what Ric said last time when Ric had her chained up for weeks. He grabs Ric and throws him against a railing, as Liz demands that he let him go. Liz assures Jason that they had dinner together and Jason can check on that. Jason warns Ric that if he doesn't find Carly soon that he will come back looking for Ric. Carly is shown at the new house that Sonny had bought for her.

Courtney is in the hospital after an accident. Ric comes in to question Jason about Carly's disappearance. Courtney tells Ric that she was with Carly and that Carly fell down the stairs and that Sonny wasn't there. Ric insinuates that Sonny was there earlier and could have pushed Carly down the stairs. Jason tells Ric that he is hardly objective about this and shouldn't be the one who questions them. Courtney gets upset with Ric and tells him that he is the sick twisted one who kidnapped Carly to begin with. Jason tells him the questioning is over with.

Courtney agrees to stay at the hospital while Jason goes to find Carly and make sure Sonny got there. She asks ELizabeth if she is volunteering at the hospital now. ELizabeth tells her she just came to visit her grandmother and reaLized how swamped she was with the storm outside and agreed to help get some of the paperwork done for her. Courtney tells her she got into a car accident on her way to get help and tells her that Carly was hurt and may have gone into labor.

Jason is back at GH and Garcia is arresting Jason for assaulting a state trooper. Ric interrupts and says that Jason was trying to get to Carly who he knew was in labor. Ric says that because Jason was under duress that they will not be pressing charges and he demands that Jason be released. Liz thanks Ric for doing that. Later, Ric and Liz watch as Jason sits by baby Morgan.

11/25/03 Liz tells Emily that she's pregnant with Zander's child, and that it’s happening at the worst time as she has just begun to trust Ric again and believe that he loves her. Emily presses Liz to tell Zander that she's pregnant in order to get Zander to focus on something other than his destructive anger and career. Albeit hesitant, Liz agrees to tell Zander, but stops outside of his hospital room door when she hears him arguing with Jason. Liz heads to Zander's room to tell him the truth and overhears him arguing with Jason. Jason is confronting him over screwing up the job Faith gave him to do and he almost killed Emily in the process. Liz decides not to tell Zander about the baby.

2/6/04 PC hotel fire begins; Ric tells Liz that Zander's body was found in basement.

3/3/04 ELizabeth reads a letter she received from Zander, which accuses Ric of being responsible for Zander's death. Ric also receives a letter from Zander, accusing ELizabeth of being the one responsible for his death! Later, Liz has flashbacks as she tells Liz that she killed Zander.

3/8/04 Liz walks in and tells Nik and Emily that they don't have to leave town. Ric rushes in and tries to stop her, but Liz admits to murdering Zander. An upset Liz gets in a car accident on the way home.

3/10/04 At the hospital, Ric informs Emily and Nikolas that he believes it might be best for Emily to approach Jason and explain that ELizabeth plans to confess to Zander's murder rather than let Ric appeal to Sonny to order Jason to implicate Officer Capelli in Zander's death. Ric explains that they can say that Jason's general distrust of law enforcement was the reason why Jason did not come forward with what he knew sooner. Ric explains that Jason can say that Jason did not want Nikolas to be convicted of a crime that Nikolas had not committed.

Nikolas and Emily meet with Jason outside the custody hearing and explain ELizabeth's involvement in Zander's death. Emily explains that they would like for Jason to state that, before Capelli died, Capelli bragged to Jason that it was Capelli who killed Zander. Jason reminds Nikolas and Emily that if he swears to something that is not true, it will be perjury and could be Ric's way of setting Jason up. Jason accompanies Nikolas and Emily to the Port Charles Police Department, where Ric hands Jason a prepared statement to sign. Jason reminds Ric that Jason knows that Ric could come after Jason later on a perjury charge, but Ric assures Jason that Ric's only motivation is to protect ELizabeth and guarantee ELizabeth the life that she deserves.

 Ric appeals to Jason as ELizabeth’s friend to help them all protect ELizabeth. Ric assures Jason that Ric, Nikolas, Emily and Lucky would never have any reason to contradict Jason's statement and, since Capelli and Zander are both dead, neither of them would be in any position to contradict Jason's statement. Nikolas and Emily assure Jason that they believe that, in this instance, Ric's only motivation is to rescue ELizabeth and that they all agree that they should protect ELizabeth. Jason reluctantly signs the statement and Ric announces that the case is now officially closed. Even as Emily thanks Jason for his help, Jason again warns Nikolas and Emily to remember that Ric is not their friend.

 3/11/04 ELizabeth goes to the courthouse and finds Jason talking in the hallway with Courtney. She asks Jason if she could speak to him alone. Courtney goes over and sits in the corner. She can't help but be jealous when she witnesses ELizabeth talking to Jason and then having Jason touch her stomach when her baby kicks and Jason looks awed by it. ELizabeth thanks Jason for helping her even though he doesn't like the cops or Ric. He tells her that he hopes that she has a happy life with her new baby. Later, Courtney tells Jason that when she watched him talking with ELizabeth and how he looked when he felt ELizabeth's baby kick, she was imagining him looking at her that way when she was once pregnant.

Zander is shown alive at his father's grave and his flashback shows that he set the fire.

4/5/04 Ric is interrogating Sonny again and Sonny blames this on Ric's never ending vendetta because of the fact that their mother had chosen Sonny. Ric blasted that Sonny was the worst of his two fathers, violent like Deke and selfish like Mike. He continued by exclaiming that he himself was trying to be better than his own father and was trying to do so by being with ELizabeth and preparing for a baby that wasn't even his; he knew he would be a better man than Sonny.

ELizabeth overheard the loud argument from the corridor and charged into the office and asked if that was his reason for being with her!  ELizabeth confronts Ric on his motivations behind their relationship. She accuses him of lying and never ending his vendetta against Sonny. Ric finally comes clean and admits that she's right. ELizabeth then stuns Ric when she tells him she's had enough of his deception, and that she's leaving him. ELizabeth later runs into Jason, who helps her with her devastation over the collapse of her marriage.

Date? (Aug/Sept 2004) Liz comes into Kelly's with baby Cameron and Sam asks if it would be all right for her to see her baby? (This is their first scene together). Liz asks when Sam is due? Then she is curious what is going on between Sam and Jason? Sam says they aren't involved romantically, that is with her because of the baby and they are just roommates. Sam says she knows that Jason used to be involved with Liz and that if Liz is interested in Jason to feel free to pursue it.

 Liz admits that maybe she loved Jason but the way he lives scares her. Liz warns her that the person she has to worry about is Courtney. Sam insists that she isn't in love with Jason. Liz says that is good as Jason will break her heart. Liz wonders if maybe Sam isn't attracted to the danger of Jason's life? Sam says no but it isn't that much worse than how she grew up as a thief, she insists that Jason is just helping her with her daughter.

9/7/04 Nikolas advised Emily to tell the police the truth about what happened the night Mary died. Jason showed up and Nikolas left them alone to speak. He told her not to say anything without a lawyer. Jason informed Nikolas that it was not a good idea for Emily to tell the police anything. He informed him that the police just wanted to close the case and that they were looking for a suspect to pin it on.

Jason points out that Emily had motive, opportunity and means, and she had threatened Mary several times and this would all make her look guilty. He believed the cops were setting Emily up. Jason arrives at the hospital and quizzes ELizabeth about the time that Emily spent alone with the medication cart. Liz admits to Jason that she told Lucky about Emily being alone with the cart and she is surprised when Jason begs Liz to not mention those events to anyone else.

9/10/04 Nik, Lucky, and Liz arrive at the PD. They run into Jason and tell him they are worried that Emily is confessing. When Emily comes out of interrogation, she quietly assures them that she lied! She only told Ric that she had visited Mary once the night of Mary's death, omitting any information about the medicine cart or a second visit. As Ric tells Liz that he wasn't to question her, Jason looks on very concerned.

 Ric takes her into an interrogation room and as he begins questioning her, Jason insists that he will not accuse Liz of killing Mary!  Ric insists that he will question Liz and threatens to arrest Jason who tells him to go ahead! Ric wondered if Liz was covering for Emily or if somebody else in the group was covering for another. (Not included, later Lucky reveals a nurse was paid off by Helena to frame Emily).

 Jason catches up to Liz outside of Kelly's. Liz and Jason begin to rekindle their friendship, but are inadvertently interrupted by Sam. Sam tries to get out of the way, but Jason calls to her. Later, after Liz leaves, he assures Sam that she's not getting in the way of any personal life that he might want, and that he's given up on romance.

Date ? 2004 Convinced that John Durant is only out to get Sonny, Jason continues his search for information. He asks Liz about her brother's motives for being in Port Charles, and what he's specifically doing with the PCPD. When she can't offer him much information, Jason asks her if she knows about John. She says no, and Steven walks up to warn Jason to leave Liz alone. Liz informs her brother that Jason is her friend, but lets the two men finish the discussion without her.    

10/4/04 Emily is rushed to the hospital where Jason and Liz are already waiting. He demands to know what happened to his sister? Helena, Tracy, and Edward arrive soon after, and Nikolas warns Helena that he will kill her if Emily dies. Steven attempts to help Emily, but is unable to offer any suggestions of what might be wrong with her until the tests return. They are all sure that Helena has poisoned her. Liz urges Jason to do whatever he has to in order to find out what type of poison Helena used. When they come back inconclusive, he continues to try and figure out her ailment. He notices a bite mark near her neck. Guessing she was bitten by a poisonous spider, he immediately begins treatment and Emily's condition improves and all are relieved.

11/5-11/10/04 Alexis found Sam alone in the chapel and begged for her help. The discussion was intense and highly emotional. Finally, Sam screamed out that she would help. Suddenly, she clutched her stomach in pain. Something was wrong with the baby! Sam is wheeled into the operating room, followed by Jason and Alexis. As an unconscious Sam goes into surgery, Jason unleashes his anger at Alexis for causing Sam to collapse. Sonny is shocked when he hears the news, and he immediately blasts Alexis as well. Steven emerges from the OR and assures them all that no one is to blame for the situation, but warns that Sam has a ruptured placenta and is in serious danger.

 Sonny and Jason immediately ask about the baby, and Steven tells them that the baby is at risk and an emergency caesarian will have to be performed immediately. Carly tries to comfort both Jason, but he's inconsolable at the idea of Sam's baby dying. He tells Carly how Sam was so excited to be a mom, and that he promised he'd be there for her when the baby was born. Jason stands outside the OR watching, then the lights are turned off, and the surgeon walks out shaking his head. "In the Arms of an Angel" begins to play as Jason goes in and holds the baby.

Liz stands outside, witnessing his grief and feels his pain of losing the baby (This is all done in silence and very powerful, Steve does amazing work in this scene). She's unable to approach him because Sonny walks up and demands to see his dead daughter. Both men collapse against each other in tears. Later, Liz approaches Jason, she doesn't say anything but looks at him with understanding and anguish in her eyes and he returns her gaze.

Jason sits by Sam's beside, as she is unconscious after the surgery. Liz stands in the doorway watching as Jason talks to Sam. He comes out into the hall and she says she was asked to talk to him about the arrangements for the baby's memorial. She offers to help with anything he needs. He asks her to give him a couple of hours to figure things out. He stands looking in at Sam and tearfully admits to Liz that he doesn't know how he is going to tell Sam that the baby is gone when she wakes up.

Later, Jason blasts Steven for not being able to do more to help Sam; ELizabeth arrives and tells Steven that he is needed at the nurses' station. After Steven leaves, ELizabeth reminds Jason that Liz had lost a baby before Cameron was born and offers Jason some advice for helping Sam through her ordeal. Liz reminds Jason that Sam probably has a ton of baby things that will need to be packed away and urges Jason to be with Sam when she does the job.

 When Jason suggests that he could just pack everything up before Sam returns home from the Hospital, ELizabeth warns that if Jason took care of the packing job all alone, it would make Sam feel as if her baby had never existed. As Liz warns Jason that Sam might end up blaming herself for her baby's death, Courtney arrives and overhears the tail end of the conversation. 

11/17/04 ELizabeth arrives at the church for the memorial service, accompanied by her brother, Steven. Sam and Jason sit together during the memorial service for her daughter.

11/24/04 As ELizabeth wheels Samantha out of the hospital, ELizabeth offers Sam her sympathy at the loss of her child and tries to reassure Sam that one day, the pain of her loss will not be so severe. Sam is surprised when Jason suddenly arrives and declares that he wants Sam to go home with him.

12/2/04 Emily & Nik's wedding. At the reception, Liz catches the bouquet and Jason catches the garter.

12/10/04 Liz calls Jason and tells him that Nik has shot at the PCPD. Jason arrives at the hospital and Emily rushes into his arms.

12/24/04 Christmas Eve montage, Jason and Sam are at Kristina's Christening, Liz and Cameron celebrate at the GH Christmas party. (Technically not a Jason & Liz scene but I love the annual Christmas montage and I thought it would be nice to include it to mark the passing of another year).

Jan ?, 05 - Jason meets Cameron and makes him cry as he holds him for the first time. Liz tells Jason about spending Christmas with a baby. She quickly apologizes after reaLizing how insensitive her comment was. They talk about the night that Sam's baby died. Liz encourages him not to assume that he knows what Sam is feeling or what she wants. She encourages him to ask her.

4/25/05 Jason and AJ wrestle over the control of a gun at the top of the stairs of the Quartermaine mansion. As the struggle, the gun goes off and both men end up crashing through the banister and plummeting to the ground below. Jason lands on top of AJ and seems unhurt after momentarily being stunned by the fall. AJ doesn't fare as well.

Carly and AJ are arguing in his hospital room. Liz walks in and AJ makes certain that Liz knows Carly has threatened his life. Carly counters, claiming she was just there to thank AJ for changing his mind and returning Michael home. Liz seems to have no interest in being a part of their games. She informs Carly that she has to leave because it was time to give AJ a tranquiLizer. AJ is alarmed. He orders Liz not to give him a tranquiLizer. She explains that she has no choice, its doctor's orders.

4/26/05 Carly explains to Liz that she has no intention of killing AJ that she was merely in his room to thank him. Liz asks her to leave, as she is about to give AJ a sedative. AJ objects but Liz tells him that its doctor's orders. Carly walks out of the door, but waits around the corner until she sees Liz exits the room.

 A music montage of what everyone is doing is shown setting them all up as potential murders. Monica leaves Alan's room as he sleeps. Emily is seen walking quickly along a corridor with a determined expression. Jason looks over his shoulder as he goes around a corner. Sonny abandons his post by Michael's room. Courtney enters the elevator. Elsewhere, Durant is shown exiting an elevator. Carly stops mid-stride and decides to turn back around. AJ opens his eyes as someone enters his room. He smiles and says, "I've got something I want to say" just as the person lifts the pillow to smother him.

 Steven starts to close AJ's door when he sees AJ. Seeming somewhat puzzled, he goes to check on AJ, taking his pulse. He immediately calls a Code Blue and begins chest compressions as a medical team wheels in equipment and charge the paddles. As Liz and Ric, who noticed the commotion, stand in AJ's doorway, Steven begins using the paddles.  Monica joins the people gathered at AJ's room. She asks Steven, who is still working on AJ, what measures had been used to resuscitate him. When Steven tells her, Monica reaLizes that there is no choice but to stop. Resigned, she orders Steven to call AJ's time of death. Ric notes that there is a pillow lying on the floor near AJ's bed.

4/27/05 At the hospital, Steven somberly reports to Monica, Emily, Ric, Durant, Reese, Samantha, Rachel, Jax, Courtney and Sonny that A.J. was murdered and that A.J. was smothered with a pillow.  Elsewhere in the Hospital, Carly reports to Jason that she went to A.J.'s room with the intention of getting rid of Michael's father permanently. However, Carly explains that after she picked up the pillow on the floor, Carly reaLized that A.J. was already dead! Jason becomes alarmed when Carly admits that she threatened A.J. while they were alone together and that A.J. later reported Carly's threats to ELizabeth when she arrived to give A.J. a sedative.

All parties return to the courtroom and the verdict is read. Sonny is found not guilty. (Sonny had turned himself in to protect Michael as they all thought he killed AJ. It was revealed months later that it was actually the doctor who treated Jason at the time of his accident and AJ had paid him off).

2/3/06 The virus storyline begins as Robert tells Luke they may not be able to control this outbreak as a voice over as all over Port Charles people are shown becoming ill. There is chaos in the ER, and Robert warns Noah that they have an epidemic on their hands and if they don't take action they will lose the entire town. As a very ill Sam fights for her life, Liz helps care for her as Jason helplessly waits for any sign of improvement.

2/7/06 ELizabeth sees him and asks to speak with Jason. ELizabeth tells Jason and Carly that the encephalitis is man-made. Lucky regains consciousness in an airplane. He tries to ask what is going on, but he doesn't make much sense. He sees someone inject something into his IV before he slips into unconsciousness again.

2/13/06 In Markham Islands, great scene as Jason bursts in with guns blazing to attempt to rescue Lucky. Two armed men come in and kidnap Lucky again. Carly passes out after having been injected with the virus.

2/16/06 Robert and Luke question Liz about what Jason knows about Crylium Industries, a pharmaceutical company that they believe purposely released the virus. Robert gets upset that no one bothered to tell him sooner and recognizes the name of the company.

2/17/06 As Carly begins to make a full recovery, gunmen burst into the lab and open fire. Although Jason manages to finish off their assailants, Lucky discovers that the vial with the antidote was smashed in the attack and they release the only remaining antidote has already been shipped to Port Charles.

2/22/06 ELizabeth goes to the nurse's quarters and throws her phone down and collapses in tears. She hears Lucky's voice, and turns around to be greeted by Lucky. She collapses with relief into his waiting arms.

3/2/06 Courtney's Memorial service, Jason shows up, as does Liz. The priest starts the service. He introduces Mike to come up and talk. Mike has a hard time talking without choking up and crying. Sonny comes up and suggests that Mike sit down. He tells everyone that he and Courtney were not as close as he would have liked and that he was too hard on her about the men she chose to be with and that she was a good woman.

Nikolas shows up and makes a scene. He tells everyone that they are all hypocrites for coming to Courtney's memorial and how he is surprised that the roof of this church hasn't fallen down on them. He tells everyone off for not caring about Courtney when she was alive. He tells Sonny, Jason, Alan, and Jax off for how they treated her when she was alive. 

ELizabeth stands up and tells Nikolas to stop his behavior and sit down. He tells off ELizabeth as well because she kept trying to get him to go back to Emily because she didn't want him to be in love with Courtney. Nikolas says his peace and leaves the service. Carly gets up and says some words about how Courtney was the only woman she became friends with because Courtney was not threatened by her in some way. The service ends.

3/24/06 Jason approaches Liz at Casino night on the Haunted Star and asks her where Emily went? Liz reports that Emily left to do a lab report and that she didn't really want to come but Liz had talked her into it. Jason is suspicious about Emily's relationship with Sonny and follows her to Sonny's. He peaks in the terrace door and sees Sonny and Emily kissing.

3/28 Lucky goes to the hospital and tells ELizabeth of his plan to get them out of debt. He knows that a police officer at the station was bribed to give Alcazar a key to Manny Ruiz's ankle bracelet. He intends to catch both men and arrest them. It will land Lucky a promotion and a raise. When he leaves, Liz goes to Jason and tells her Lucky's plan. He asks her what she wants him to do about it, and she tells him to do whatever possible to keep Lucky safe.

3/29 & 3/30 At the carnival in the park, Emily tells ELizabeth about her secret romance with Sonny and how opposed Jason is to the relationship. She says for the first time in her life she will be afraid of her brother when he finds out about her and Sonny. Lucky and Jesse notice the clown assassin aiming at Jesse and they warn everyone nearby to take cover.

The clown shoots at Diego who manages to fall to the ground and not get hit. Everyone else falls to the ground. Lucky gets up and finds the assassin trying to get away. Lucky shoots him and calls for backup and an ambulance. Maxie notices Jesse is facedown on the ground and not moving. She runs over to him and notices blood coming from his head. She gets hysterical and screams for help. Lucky tells Mac how Alcazar helped Manny get rid of his ankle monitor. Mac asks Lucky to tell him what happened with the shooting? Lucky thinks Sonny and Jason may have been behind the shooting to kill Diego to hurt Alcazar.

Sonny and Jason arrive at the park and Mac questions them about the shooting. Sonny and Jason tell Mac they had nothing to do with the shooting. Mac warns them that he will not tolerate another mob war between them and Alcazar and that because one of his own was shot it has made him more motivated to get whoever was behind the shooting. Sonny tells Mac that he doesn't shoot kids and that he knows that. Mac believes him and lets them go for now.

ELizabeth talks to Jason about what happened in the park. Liz isn't sure but she is in shock that her husband's partner was shot. She reflects on their conversation earlier that day about wanting to protect Lucky by having Jason take care of Manny so Lucky won't have to go after him. Jason assures her that she had nothing to do with the shooting.

4/5 Emily and Jason have a confrontation at the PCPD over her relationship with Sonny. He explains exactly why he believes she will be hurt by Sonny.

4/6 ELizabeth shows up after seeing the paper to lend her moral support. Emily tells ELizabeth that she is more upset with the fact that Jason has shut her out of his life after she went to see him the day before. ELizabeth thinks Jason is afraid for the first time and is handling it badly. ELizabeth goes to see Jason to tell him how heartbroken Emily is over what has happened with her relationship with him as brother and sister. She asks him to accept her relationship with Sonny. Jason tells her he can't do that.

Carly goes to the hospital and finds ELizabeth there. She orders ELizabeth to tell Emily to break things off with Sonny because she is her best friend and will listen to her. ELizabeth tells her that she went to see Jason and reaLizes that Jason has never been afraid for anyone before until now and that he is handling badly. She tells Carly that she has no intention of telling Emily what to do.

4/7 Lucky, Lorenzo and Jason all converge on Manny's room after learning that he didn't finish his shift at the hospital. Alarmed to see Manny creeping up behind Skye with a knife, ELizabeth intervenes just in the nick of time. Later, Lucky arrives at the hospital to find his wife being held hostage by Manny.

4/10 ELizabeth saved Skye from Manny's attack, but he grabbed Liz as she was fleeing and held a knife to her throat. Lucky arrived and pointed his gun at Manny. However, when Manny threatened to cut Liz's throat, Lucky lowered his weapon. Lucky volunteered to be Ruiz's hostage, but Manny said no way, Skye called 9-1-1.

The cops arrived, while Manny held Liz captive in the stairwell.  Monica called and told Jason about Manny kidnapping ELizabeth and he says he will be right there. Jason told Sonny that it's Corinthos's fault that Manny's on a rampage because Sonny has been neglecting his business. Jason yells at Sonny that one more innocent is getting hurt because Sonny is too distracted by Emily to pay attention to business.

Jason arrived at the hospital and got in on the search, while Manny put Liz in a body bag and planned to take her out of the hospital through the morgue. As Manny apologized to Liz, she located her cell phone. Manny made it out with his hostage, and later at the pier, she dialed Lucky's cell. Manny caught her, took the phone and told Lucky to come and get him. Liz screamed it was a trap, but Lucky didn't care. Lucky left the hospital without telling Mac what was going down.

Epiphany told Jason that Manny had been talking to the other janitor a lot lately. With Epiphany's help, Jason "coerced" Manny's locale out of the operative. Lucky showed up at the pier, but was seriously injured during a fight with Manny. He threatens to kill Lucky, but Liz pleads for her husband’s life. Manny declares that he allowed Lucky to live because ELizabeth had been kind to him and he paid his debts. Just as he was taking her away, Jason showed up with his gun drawn and ordered him to let her go. Manny grabs Liz and holds a knife to her throat and threatens to kill her if Jason doesn't drop his weapon.

4/11 ELizabeth ducks and Jason takes a shot at Manny. He dives into the water, Jason shots after him and blows up a boat. Jason arrived at GH and comforted ELizabeth. She told him that Lucky is seriously injured and is in a lot of pain. At GH, Liz stands alone in tears worried about her husband's fate. Jason comes in and silently puts his arm around her and she lays her head on his shoulder. After a moment, he asks if she is okay? She is frightened for Lucky. He wants to know if Manny hurt her? She says no, he just threatened to kill her a million times.

 Jason apologizes and says that Manny should have been stopped a long time ago. Liz is curious how he knew where to find her? He tells her that Monica called and told him. He says that the "tough nurse" helped him find Liz. He commends her for being quick on her feet and credits her for saving her own life. Emily walks in and is relieved to see her friend alive and well and gives her a big hug. Liz tells her she was just thanking Jason for saving her life. He is cold towards Emily and quickly exits.

4/14 A weeping Liz ran into a pensive Jason on the docks. "Is it Lucky?" he asked of her dark mood. She explained that when Lucky quit the force that he lost his health insurance and wasn't yet covered on her policy. (Minor grip, Liz is a GH employee who was kidnapped while on the job by a co-worker and her assailant winds up paralyzing her husband and the hospital is going to charge her? Sounds like a lawsuit to me, <grin>).

Jason asked how much she needed and volunteered the necessary funds. She declined and said she would talk to Nikolas. Jason resonated with Liz when she described how she feels like lately, her life has been one step forward and one step back and there's nothing she can do to change it. Liz apologizes for dumping her financial concerns on him when he has his own problems with the Sonny and Emily situation.

 Jason then informed Liz that he was taking over Sonny's business and that if Sonny wanted it back, he'd have to give up Emily. He believes that this is the best option with the fewest people getting hurt. He seems to expect that Sonny will give Emily up to regain his business. Liz was worried about all that Jason was giving up in his effort to protect Em, his relationship with Sonny, Emily, perhaps even Jason and Morgan. Jason asked Liz to be there for Emily through the turmoil that was surely to come.

4/28 Jason showed up outside the auction, a delighted Sam made a beeline to him. Someone with a gun was watching them, the little red laser dot, was aimed right at Jason. Sam made her way to him and they embraced. Suddenly, Jason looked up with a stunned expression and it is revealed that the back of Sam's pretty white party dress was stained with blood.

5/1 At the hospital Sam is rushed into surgery. Liz gives Jason some consent forms to sign, which includes authorizing the doctors to perform a hysterectomy if it's deemed necessary to save Sam's life. Jason tells Liz that the bullet was intended for him.

5/2 Liz gives Jason an update about Sam's surgery and reassures him that Sam is going to be fine, after all she has Jason in her life.

5/10 Jason is waiting by Sam's bedside when ELizabeth comes in to start Sam's transfusion. She notices that Sam's blood pressure is up and seems to be holding. Dr. Lee asks ELizabeth to find either Patrick or Noah to consult on Sam's condition. Dr. Lee informs Jason and Alexis of the new development in Sam's prognosis.  After speaking with Noah, Dr. Lee tells ELizabeth that surgery is not an option for Sam.

Mayor Floyd approaches ELizabeth asking for Sam's room number. Stan intervenes and offers to take him there. Epiphany stops Stan in his tracks and asks her son what he's up to. Epiphany is amused by ELizabeth's shock, knowing that she seems non-maternal. She informs ELizabeth that her son had great potential and wasted it by becoming involved with the mob. ELizabeth informs Jason that Patrick is on his way back to Port Charles and if anyone can pull off the surgery to save Sam, he can.

5/11 Alexis overhears a heated argument between Patrick and Noah. Noah is against the surgery and tries to convince Patrick how it will end up killing Sam. Alexis asks Noah what the risks are for this type of surgery. Noah explains to her that he believes that this surgery is too risky and that Sam will end up bleeding to death on the operating table if Patrick does the surgery. Jason shows up and yells at Noah for trying to stop Patrick from doing the surgery. Noah tells him that the surgery is too risky. Jason tells him that he needs to stop interfering and let Patrick examine Sam first.

Later, Alexis goes back to Sam's room to persuade Jason not to allow them to do the surgery. Jason is sick of waiting for Sam to get better and wants something done now. Alexis tells him that Patrick just lost a patient by doing a risky surgery and that he wants to prove himself. Jason isn't sure what to do but when Patrick comes in and starts to give orders to the nurses to prep Sam for surgery. Alexis pleads with Jason to give the medicine a chance to work first. Jason signs the consent forms and they get ready to bring Sam into the O.R. Jason takes Sam's engagement ring off of her before her surgery and tells her he loves her. He waits and worries about whether he is making the right decision or not.

5/12 Alexis enters the operating room waiving an injunction, demanding the procedure stop. Patrick informs Alexis that Jason did sign off on the procedure. Alexis tells Patrick that it's not Jason's place, only she can sign off as the next of kin. Patrick tells Alexis that Sam will die without the surgery, that the information given to Alexis by Noah is wrong. Jason and Ric enter the emergency. A frustrated Patrick calls off the surgery due to the operating room's contamination. He tells Jason that he will operate once the injunction has been lifted. ELizabeth goes to Ric and asks that he try to change Alexis' mind on the injunction. Ric tells her that it's not their call.

Patrick is angry with Noah for messing with the patient’s lives. Noah not wanting Patrick to ruin his career and he's trying to give Alexis different options. Noah tells Patrick that the only reason that he is so keen on doing the surgery is because of the patient who died on his operating table as well as because he is trying to play God. Noah says that he is trying to save Sam from Patrick's arrogance. Noah walks off.

Jason approaches Patrick and asks what he will need to pay in order for Patrick to do the surgery. Patrick informs him that if he is willing to continue with the surgery, that there is no need for the money. Patrick asks ELizabeth to assist in the operating room only if she is still thinking that this is the right approach that they should be taking. ELizabeth says that she has taken an oath to save people and she will be there to help, regardless of the consequences.

ELizabeth tells Jason that Sam is on her way to the operating room. Jason offers his gratitude, and tells ELizabeth that no matter what happens he will make sure that she doesn't get any of the blame. She informs Jason that she made the choice to assist, and she really feels that Patrick operating is the best choice for Sam to live. Jason shows that he is a little uneasy, and ELizabeth tells him that it's not too late to back out. Jason agrees that the surgery is what Sam would want. While wheeling Sam to surgery, Patrick turns and asks if Jason is packing so that if there are any questions Patrick can say that Jason held a gun to his head. Being on the same page as Patrick, Jason informs him that if he doesn't do the surgery he will shoot him. The nurses wheel Sam into the operating room, where an upset Jason tells Sam that he loves her through the door.

Patrick informs his operating staff that they have very little time to get this done. They begin the surgery. ELizabeth takes note of how bad Sam's condition really is. An angry Alexis finds Jason in the hall just outside the operating room. She promises Jason that should anything happen to Sam during the operation, she will personally see to it that he is put away for murder.

5/15 Patrick informs his operating staff that the procedure is almost completed. A very angry Alexis is yelling at Jason for allowing the surgery to continue after she had produced the injunction. There argument is cut short, when they begin to hear beeping coming from the operating room. Alexis tells Jason that if Sam dies, it will all be his fault. Patrick exits the operating room to inform Jason and Alexis that Sam has made it through the surgery. He continues to tell them that it is too soon to tell if there will be any brain damage, but she has a very good chance to live.

 Patrick tells ELizabeth that he feels that she handled herself well in the operating room. He continues to say that she will make a wonderful operating room nurse. Their conversation is cut short, when an angry Noah approaches Patrick. Noah informs Patrick that he has risked his career and freedom in performing this surgery.

Mac and Detective Rodriguez arrest ELizabeth, Epiphany, Jason and Patrick for disobeying the injunction. Jason informs the police that he should be the only arrested for this, and that they should let everyone go. Jason continues to say that Patrick only performed the operation because Jason threatened him. ELizabeth says that she was present when Jason threatened Patrick, and it only happened because Patrick asked Jason if he was packing. Patrick confirms ELizabeth's story. ELizabeth tells Jason and Epiphany that Alexis will drop the charges once she has calmed down. Jason fears that his problems with Alexis are just about to begin.

Back at GH, Noah tells Alexis that the surgery was probably the best thing for Sam. Alexis tells Noah that she is confused by Noah's change of heart. She believes that Noah has only changed his mind because of Patrick being arrested. Alexis continues to inform him that all she wants for her daughter is to receive the best care possible, free of any ulterior motives. Alexis shows up at the PCPD and drops the charges and everyone is released.

5/22 Jason heads to the docks, where he finds ELizabeth sitting all alone. Jason tells ELizabeth that he came down to the docks, as he had no place to go. An upset ELizabeth tells Jason that she also had nowhere to go.

5/23 Liz vents her frustrations of the argument she had with Lucky. She told Jason, that part of Lucky's frustration was that Jason was the one that saved her from Manny, and not her husband. Also, that Lucky had been suspicious of hers and Patrick friendship, and thought that they were having an affair, when all that she had done was get a second job to help cover some of the medical bills that had piled up. Jason let Liz know that he had left Sam, because his lifestyle was now too dangerous. Liz tried to get him to understand that while his life was dangerous, that shutting everyone out would also leave him alone. Jason said that it was a choice he had to make.

Patrick tells Alexis that Sam's nosebleed was caused by her becoming agitated and whatever the cause of the stress should be eliminated. As Jason and Liz walked in, Jason overheard about Sam's condition and he was visibly upset.

5/25 ELizabeth visits Jason and says she knows what he has done. She stopped by billing and was told that all of Lucky's medical bills and the physical therapy sessions had been paid for in advance for the next six months. She then found out that her rent and Cameron's daycare had also been paid for. She called Nik to thank him but he didn't know anything about it. She figured it was either her fairy godmother or Jason. She thanks him for his generosity but she isn't so sure Lucky will accept this gift from Jason but she will accept it because of her son. He tells her that she risked her job and her career to help Sam and he owes her for that. She asks if that is the only reason he is doing this?

She suggests that perhaps it is because she cried on his shoulder about her financial problems and she can't confide in him if he is going to run out and fix things for her. She goes back to the hospital and runs into Emily who is on her way to see Jason herself. Emily is upset with Jason for abandoning Sam when she needs him the most. ELizabeth unnerves Emily when she tries to persuade her from trying to convince Jason to go back to Sam. She feels that Jason is doing what he thinks is right to protect Sam and that she can understand him. Emily asks when Liz became so well versed in Jason's life? Liz understands him and says she is a different person than she was when her and Jason were together.

5/29 (?) I included a scene of Lucky attempting to return to work and getting upset with her when she tells Mac about it and he puts a stop to it. Later, Liz and Nik talk about Jason paying their expenses for the next six months and she asks him to let Lucky think Nik paid for it rather than Jason.

5/31 Liz tells Jason that she is allowing Lucky to believe that Nik paid their expenses, as she knows he wouldn't have accepted the gift from Jason. Then she told him to make up with Sam.

6/1 Sam overhears Jason talking to Liz outside of her hospital room. Sam comes out and asks Jason to talk to her if he wants to know how she is doing instead of asking ELizabeth and then sneaking away. Jason tries to leave without talking to Sam. ELizabeth points out to Jason that Sam is going to hurt herself and he needs to talk to her. She asks Sam to go back to her room and Jason will go in afterwards. She tells Jason that Sam has a right to say how she feels about their relationship if he is going to end it. Jason listens to ELizabeth.

6/2 & 6/5 Jason arrives at the hospital wanting to speak with Sam. He walks into her room and finds the bed stripped down. ELizabeth enters and informs Jason that Sam was discharged and went home with Alexis. ELizabeth and Jason continue to talk as Manny watches them from a doorway. ELizabeth prods Jason to take Sam back.

6/8 ELizabeth shows up at Jason's penthouse. She is let in by the guard and watches Jason stare out the window longingly. She tells him he should call Sam and try to get back with her since it is obvious he is miserable without her. Jason knows she didn't come there to talk about Sam and asks her why she is there to see him. She asks him for a favor concerning Lucky.

She asks him to help her set up an arrest of someone in the mob who he doesn't like and wouldn't mind helping the police arrest. Jason thinks her reasoning is funny and can't help but laugh. She wants to help Lucky get his confidence back as a cop after he has been blaming himself for Jesse's death. She thinks that if Lucky can make an important arrest that will make the difference in his behavior. She tells Jason about Lucky's suspicions toward her being with Patrick and how he accused her again of being with him. Jason thinks of someone he wouldn't mind being arrested and agrees to help make sure that Lucky makes the arrest.

6/9 Jason arrives back at the penthouse to find ELizabeth waiting for him. She tells him that she's worried about Lucky and would appreciate it if Jason went out to look for him. Stan contacts Jason and informs him of the shooting. Jason asks ELizabeth to go back to the hospital and wait for his call.
