Just Jason #15 October 8, 1999 - January 24, 2000 - 8 hour original edit DVD #15A Carly and Jason meet on the docks and chat while she waits for her cab. He asks what she is doing alone on the docks at night? She tells him about the fight her and Bobbie had over her marrying Jerry Jaxs, she refers to her mom as the “Bride of Frankenstein”. Carly is sitting outside of Kelly's talking to Liz about Katharine's death. She sees Hannah leave and starts to follow her through some alleys. Two rough looking guys come along and steal her necklace and purse, then throw her around. They hold her down and take her wedding rings. They throw her to the ground and she's crying give them back, give them back. Jason is over at Kelly's talking to Liz about finding your life and doing what you choose to do. He could never be what the Quartermaine's wanted him to be and he's happy with his life choice. Liz wants to be an artist she thinks. They seem to be bonded over the many things they have in common. Jason gets a call from a hysterical Carly to come and get her. He rushes off and finds her. He asks her if she's hurt and takes her back to his penthouse. Jason comforted Carly after the mugging, tenderly nursing her wounds. Carly told Jason that there was no way that she could tell AJ about the mugging because he would launch a full investigation and find out that she was in the alley following Hannah. She began to think of elaborate lies to tell AJ to cover for her missing purse, pearls and wedding rings. Jason spoke to Johnny and shortly after, he returned with duplicates of Carly's rings and pearls. When she asked how he had done this, he told her he went to the same jeweler that AJ had used to buy the look alikes. Carly then asked him to put the rings on her. He asked why and she told him to just do it. In a tender moment, Jason slipped the rings onto Carly's finger. After taking a shower to get the mugging grunge off of her, Carly came downstairs in Jason's shirt with a towel on her head just as Hannah and Sonny arrived. They immediately jumped to the obvious conclusion. Carly is at the coffee warehouse waiting for Jason. When he arrives she tells him how happy it makes her to know that her engagement and wedding ring came from him and not AJ. Jason just smiles and asks why she is there. He is shocked when Carly shows him the yearbook photo of Professor Bradburn and tells him that that is not the man that she has seen with Hannah. Jason demands to know where Carly got the picture. He is not happy when she tells him that she went to San Diego. Carly says that no one would believe her so she had to get proof that something was up with Hannah. Jason can't deny what Carly is telling him and asks for more details on the guy she did see with Hannah. Carly says that there is no way that the man with Hannah is the same man in the yearbook picture. Jason asks Carly how she can be so sure and Carly admits that she talked to the man on the docks. Jason is angry at Carly for putting herself in danger. He says that he just wants to know the truth, either way. If Carly is right, it will be really bad for Sonny. Jason tells Carly that the question is why Hannah would want to pass off some other guy as her ex-boyfriend. Carly says that the main two reasons people do anything are sex or money. She is leaning towards money because what does a nymphomaniac need with a gun? And Hannah knows that Carly knows about the gun. Hannah caught her going through her stuff and Carly knows that Hannah didn't buy her story. Carly tells Jason that she didn't care that Hannah didn't believe her. She just wanted to get to the penthouse and talk to Sonny. But when she got there, the Feds were already there. Jason asks how she got up to the penthouse. Carly looks confused and says that she used the elevator. Jason asks if there were any agents in the lobby or any cars parked outside. Carly says that there weren't any cars and the only person in the lobby was the doorman. Jason says that Hannah told Sonny that the lobby was crawling with Feds. That someone stopped her and told her she couldn't go up and that is how she knew that Sonny had been arrested. Jason says that he will clear it up. Carly says that that still doesn't explain who the other guy is. Jason tells Carly that she needs to go home and take care of Michael. He will find out the truth. He offers to get Carly a ride home, but she says that she wants to walk for a bit. Right after Carly leaves, Roy arrives. He asks Jason for a job. Roy introduces himself and explains to Jason that Jake told him about the warehouse. He also tells Jason that he just got released from prison. Sonny arrives and Jason asks him to come meet Roy. Jason explains to Sonny that Roy is looking for work and was recommended by Jake. Roy tells Sonny that he thinks that the only concern with his employment is that he just got out of prison. Sonny asks for details and Roy tells him that he served twenty years for attempted murder. When Sonny asks who, Roy tells him not his boss. It was a full grown man, and not an especially good one. He has met worse since and he hasn't killed any of them. Sonny says that he doesn't know Roy's story and he isn't going to ask. He expects all of his employees to do more than just work hard. What goes on inside the warehouse stays inside the warehouse. Roy assures Sonny that he can keep his mouth shut. Jason asks Roy if he can start that afternoon. Jason walks on the docks, he stops to say hello to Hannah and find out why she is out on the docks so late. Hannah explains that she dropped her checkbook. She tells him that she thinks Carly has made him doubt her. She asks him if that is true. Jason tells Hannah that she takes some things personally that she shouldn't. It isn't about her, it's about how important she is to Sonny and how important it is to keep her safe. Hannah assures Jason that she understands. Jason says that he is glad because he wouldn't want a repeat of the night Sonny was arrested. He asks Hannah what happened that night. He thought she was supposed to be moving in. Hannah says that she was, but when she got to the Sonny's there were cars and flashing lights everywhere. She thought it was the end of everything. Jason caught Hannah in her lie about really not being at Sonny's the night the feds took him in. Jason told Carly about the lie and Carly showed Jason the gun she found in Hannah's room. Jason convinced Carly to give him the gun so he could return it to her room. He first copied the serial number from the gun to track it. Jason and Carly went to Kelly's to return the gun and were stopped by Mike outside. He told them Sonny and Hannah were busy upstairs. Jason and Carly discussed what they should do about Hannah and Jason reminded Carly that they don't know why Hannah and the "Professor" are lying. Sonny continued his campaign to get Hannah to move in with him and while they were in Kelly's talking, Jason slipped into Hannah's room to return the gun. When he got the strong box open, he found the cell phone and pushed retire. Larkin immediately answered and Jason hung up. Sonny and Hannah started to enter her room while Jason was still inside, but Carly caught them in time and distracted them in the hallway by apologizing to Hannah for her behavior and giving the couple a pair of tickets to the opera, Carmen. Hannah said that if Carly was willing to make peace, she would as well, but refused to shake Carly's hand. Jason went out the window and as soon as they entered the room, Hannah and Sonny started undressing each other. Jason and Carly met outside Kelly's and he told her about the call on the cell phone. She left and Sonny showed up and thanked Jason for getting Carly to apologize. Jason and Sonny are talking on the docks. Hannah comes by and interrupts them. Hannah thanks Jason for helping them with Carly. He tells them to enjoy the opera and then leaves. She wonders if Jason will ever feel comfortable around her again. Jason and Benny are talking outside Kelly's. Emily and Juan come out and tell them the good news about Juan. Benny and Jason are talking about the tracing of the gun. He says to make sure you report to me and no one else. Hannah comes by and is worried that Sonny forgot a meeting with them. She asks Jason to come by for a coffee, she really wants them to be friends again. She leaves them to finish their business. Jason and Sonny are talking on the docks. Benny and Jason are talking about the tracing of the gun. He says to make sure you report to me and no one else. Hannah asks Jason to come by for a coffee, she really wants them to be friends again. She leaves them to finish their business. Jason and Sonny discussed what to do about Sorrel with Juan being back in town. Francis brought Sorrel in and Sonny got all cool and tough guy on him. He told Sorrel that if anything happened to Juan or Emily, he would "eliminate the problem". Sorrel said that Moreno would welcome the opportunity to work more closely with Sonny and that he would be more than happy to arrange a meeting. Sonny blew him out and told Francis to escort Sorrel out. Jason told Sonny that Sorrel would be a problem. Jason got the opera tickets back for Carly and she was very grateful. Jason told Carly that he owed her for the tip off about Hannah and that the fact that there was no info yet about the gun was not good, that it indicated that she probably was dangerous for Sonny. Liz is on the docks finishing a painting. When Jason arrives, she shows him her picture. She tried to capture "the wind" on canvas. Jason says it's good but Liz can tell from his reaction that he isn't impressed. Jason explains that she shouldn't go by his opinion. He isn't like other people since his accident. He asks if she knows about that. She says Emily told her. As she's trying to explain the painting to Jason, Nik comes along and watches them together. When it becomes obvious that Liz and Jason are bonding, Nik leaves. Liz wants Jason to hang the picture in his place after she puts on the finishing touches. Later, Nik meets up with Liz at Kelly's and tells her that he saw her with Jason earlier. He wants to know what Jason was telling her. Jason arrives at the warehouse later than Sonny expected. Sonny teases him about his being late, since he is always on time. Sonny starts to pry about where Jason was, but Jason is evasive. This, of course, makes Sonny even more curious. As they talk, Benny walks into the warehouse, sees Sonny and Jason together and stops in his footsteps when Jason gives him a look. Jason tells Sonny that he doesn't think he'll be going to the meeting today. Sonny asks if it is because he was joking with him. He says he's just in a good mood. Hannah has made him happy. Jason looks sad. When Sonny leaves, Benny comes over to Jason. He got a trace on Hannah's gun. Carly meets Jason at the warehouse. He got the trace back on Hannah's gun. It's registered to the FBI. Jason tells Carly that Hannah's gun is registered to the FBI. Carly then hypothesizes that Professor Bradburn must be a FBI agent and that that is why Sonny was arrested. Jason telephones Benny to arrange an emergency meeting to discuss how to keep Sonny safe from the federal authorities. After Jason hangs up the phone, he instructs Carly not to say anything to Sonny about Hannah's sketchy operations. He claims that Sonny will need more proof of Hannah's betrayal before he will believe them. As the two wait for Carly's cab, Jason thanks Carly for pursuing her distrust for Sonny's girlfriend. After Carly has left, Benny appears and Jason informs him that the gun that was traced was Hannah's. Benny vows to keep the shipments clean and not to even as much as hint to Sonny that something is amiss. Carly showed up at Jason's just as he was getting ready to leave to go break into Larkin's room. She insisted on going with him and convinced him that he needed her there and was the only person he could trust to have as back up. Jason picked the lock at Larkin's and slipped inside while Carly stood guard. Almost immediately, Larkin showed up and Carly distracted him with a bluff about having information he needed. a proposition is to offer him money in order to take his little gold digger friend, Hannah, away from her friend, Sonny. Meanwhile, Jason looked through Larkin's desk and found a file, his badge and a cassette tape. He took a page from the file and the cassette. Back at the penthouse, Carly and Jason listened to the tape which was of Hannah saying that she was going to bust Sonny. They reel with the information that Hannah is a Fed! Jason showed Carly the page with meeting times on it. Carly told Jason that there was no way they could show this all to Sonny, that it would kill him Jason insisted that he had to be told. Carly continued trying to convince Jason not to tell Sonny about Hannah, but Jason was insistent that he could not be dishonest with his friend. Later, Jason gently tells Sonny that Hannah is the leak that gave information to the Feds and that she herself is an agent. Sonny was tentative, but slowly came to believe what Jason was telling him and was devastated. Carly came back to Jason's penthouse while he was sitting on the floor in pain over what he had just told Sonny. Carly gets Jason to tell her how it went telling Sonny that Hannah was in the FBI. Jason says Sonny took it well, appreciated his loyalty. Jason feels bad for having to crush his best friend that way. She said that she must be getting smarter or something, because she knew she shouldn't be there. She started to leave and Jason pulled her into his arms. Liz is out alone on the docks,
Jason comes by and listens while she talks. She realizes that she's
finally 18 and on her own, but without Lucky. They were supposed to be in
New York for her birthday. She cries as she thinks about all of the plans
they had made. She's still on some dock in PC, not in NY, and Lucky is
nowhere, she cries, “happy 18th birthday Elizabeth”. Carly comes upon Jason just as Elizabeth is leaving. Carly thinks Sonny must be crazy to stay with Hannah, knowing what she is. Carly understands what it is like to be with someone you don’t love. Carly is worried that if Hannah brings Sonny down, that she will bring Jason down with her. Francis meets Carly at Kelly's holding Hannah's stuff. Carly is stunned to learn that Hannah is moving in with Sonny. She goes to Jason and says that Sonny's cracking up. Jason tells her that Sonny is keeping her around so the FBI won't put anyone else on him. Sonny goes to Jason's and tells him he's okay and that he's going to use Hannah against the FBI. He thanks Jason for protecting him and remembers how it felt when Brenda wore her wire. Jason asks how he's going to still be with Hannah when he hates her and Sonny says it's like a reminder to never let his guard down. Sonny told Jason that he planned to set Hannah up by feeding her phony information to take to the FBI. Jason asked Sonny how it had gone with Hannah and Sonny filled him in on Hannah taking the bait and said that he knew she had just hotfooted out to see Larkin and report what she had found. Sure enough, a couple of minutes later Jason's cell phone rang and Johnny confirmed that Hannah was with Larkin. Jason told him to keep his distance. He and Sonny contemplated how Hannah was going to look like an idiot by the time they were finished with her. Sonny and Jason are on the docks discussing their plan to trap Hannah. When the bust goes down and it isn't Sonny, Hannah is going to look like she doesn't know what she is doing. Sonny tells Jason that Hannah wanted him to stay home tonight. He figures that Hannah wanted to bring him in herself. That is why she asked him to stay home when she knows that there is a bust going down. Jason is on the docks, when he runs into Liz. Liz is delighted to see him and says maybe it's a sign. Or maybe it's a sign that he is going to give her a sign. Liz asks Jason if there was only going to be one painting of Lucky in the whole world, should it be on the docks or with his guitar. Jason asks why there can only be one painting. Liz explains that she convinced her art teacher to let her do a portrait for her mid-term art project. She tells Jason that painting a portrait of Lucky was what got her accepted into the New York art school. Jason says that the docks are bigger, but a guitar looks harder to draw. Liz tells Jason that that isn't any help. She needs a decision. Jason asks why him. Liz says because he is there, he knew Lucky and she is tired of thinking about it. Jason says fine, and pulls a quarter out of his pocket. He says head for docks and tails for guitar. Liz watches as he throws the coin up in the air and then grabs the coin before he can catch it and says guitar. Jason laughs and says he is glad that he could be so helpful. Liz assures him that he was and thanks him. Meanwhile,
Carly has arrived on the docks. She stops when she sees Jason talking to
Liz. Carly watches from her hiding place as Liz thanks Jason for helping
her to decide how to paint Lucky. As Liz starts to walk away Jason asks if
she is going to give him back his quarter. Liz smiles and says that it
isn't a quarter, it is a good luck charm and says that she is keeping it.
Jason watches her as she gives him another smile over her shoulder and
walks away. Carly walks up once Jason leaves and asks what the thing with
Liz was. Jason just shrugs and doesn't say anything so Carly doesn't push
it. She really wants to talk to Jason about Sonny. Jason assures Carly
that Sonny is fine. Carly disagrees saying that he can't be fine if he is
letting Hannah live with him. Carly says that living with someone you hate
and calling it love makes you feel like you are dying hour by hour. Carly
wonders how Sonny knows that Hannah doesn't see right through him. Maybe
Hannah knows that Sonny hates her and doesn't care and if Hannah brings
Sonny down, she can bring Jason down with him. Sonny and Jason meet on the docks. Marino wasn't busted but Sonny knows that Hannah read the file. Jason continues to question the wisdom of trying to use Hannah. Jason tells Sonny that he shouldn't be mad at Carly. It is Hannah who betrayed him. He owes Carly. Sonny says he owes her nothing. Sonny says Carly is as bad as Hannah, if not worse. Carly says Sonny hates her because she found the truth about Hannah. Jason insists that they both owe Carly. She stuck by Sonny and didn't betray him. Sonny told them that he was dealing with this situation the best he could. He said that what they weren't seeing is that Carly is just as bad as Hannah. Carly took immediate offense and said that she had never seduced someone to send them to prison. He threw in her face that she had sent Jason and Michael off, then called Jason a kidnapper. After more of this went on, Carly finally said, "You hate me because I'm the one who found out about Hannah." Sonny shot back , "I guess lying tramps recognize each other." Ow! Jason defended Carly saying that she had always stood by him and Sonny no matter what when they needed her. He reminded Sonny that he owes Carly. Sonny said, "Then God bless you if you believe that." Jason and Carly left. Jason and Carly found Hannah talking to a bum guy. Carly gave the guy a wad of hundreds and sent him away. They suggested that they walk Hannah to the penthouse. She declined saying she didn't need babysitters. Jason said she needed to be security conscious, so they walked her anyway. Back on the docks, Carly told Jason that no one had ever defended her the way he had to Sonny. Jason said he was only telling the truth. She said he was the best thing that had ever happened to her and they walked away arm in arm. Outside of Kelly's, Jason and Sonny are at a table discussing Hannah. Sonny tells Jason that he woke up in the middle of the night thinking that maybe Hannah is really trying to protect him. On the docks, with Sonny and Jason discuss the bust tonight. When they see Hannah and Johnny, they start talking coffee business. Hannah asks Sonny to call Johnny off, but Sonny tells her that she needs protection. Hannah asks Sonny to come home with her where it is safe and she doesn't need a body guard. Sonny tells her sorry, but not tonight. Hannah is still trying to convince Sonny to some home and join her for dinner, but he says that he is going to be working most of the night. Hannah invites Jason to join her for a glass of wine, but he also declines. Hannah starts to get upset saying that she wants them all to be friends again. Sonny finally agrees to go with her, but Jason stays on the docks. Hannah keeps trying to get Jason to join them, but finally gives up. After Sonny and Hannah leave, Carly shows up and asks Jason if something big is going down. Knowing there is no sense in trying to talk Carly out of it, Jason motions for her to follow him. Jason and Carly arrive in a cheap hotel room. Carly teases Jason saying that this must be his real apartment. It's bare, functional and doesn't have any knick knacks. Carly asks why they are there. Jason says that he has a clear view of Pier 17. Moreno is landing a shipment tonight. He and Sonny set Hannah up to think that it was their shipment instead of Moreno's. Once Moreno is busted, this will be over. Carly doesn't think so and is worried that Jason will still end up getting caught. She is frustrated because Jason won't let her help. Jason tells Carly that he brought her along because he knew that she would just follow him if he didn't. Carly laughs and says that he is right. She tells Jason that noone ever tried to really see her for who she was until she met him. She thinks she knew even then that Jason would be the only person who ever really knew her. Carly asks Jason if she was the first. She knows that his accident happened in January and they met in May. She asks if he remembers that night. Jason says that he does. Carly tells him that she couldn't figure him out. He was just this guy who said what he meant. Carly asks if he ever misses those days. Jason says that kind of liked that she didn't know about the accident. She always thought that he was a little strange, but she didn't feel the need to teach him things. But he still learned. He learned that you have to be careful who you pick up in bars because it might change your life. Carly smiles at that comment and asks if ever wishes that he was at the bar the night Michael was conceived instead of AJ. Before Jason can answer, sirens are heard in the distance. Jason says it's starting and he and Carly go to the window to watch. FBI men swarm the area and start arresting people. Unfortunately, Roy is caught in the fray. Jason and Carly watch as the FBI bust Moreno. Across the street, Roy is apprehended and taken in. In the room, Carly apologizes to Jason for the terrible things that she has done to him in the past and regrets her decision not to follow Jason, causing her to be separated from him. Jason comforts her and assures her that she could never betray him and claims that she and Hannah have nothing in common. Jason then thanks Carly for saving him and keeping him out of jail. He cautions her not to mention the evening's events to anyone. Elizabeth calls Jason and he quickly arrives to take her for a ride on his motorcycle. Liz asks to drive and Jason obliges. When they return from their ride, Jason promises to let Liz drive his bike anytime she pleases, even though she does not have a license. Liz recounts her evening to Jason and explains that her time with Nikolas caused her to miss Lucky terribly. She says that the only time that she can forget her anger and sorrow is when she is on Jason's motorcycle. Sonny and Jason had an intense discussion about the charming Hannah. Jason questioned how soon Sonny was going to ditch Hannah. Sonny said he wasn't through with her yet. He needs to wake up next to her one morning and know he doesn't want her around. Then he'll get rid of her. Jason tells Sonny that Bobbie is getting married in less than an hour. Jerry Jax is a disaster waiting to happen to Bobbie. He wants to know when the Feds are going to move in. Sonny says that he can't do anything because he gave Alexis his word. Jason is upset because he knows that Bobbie is making a huge mistake and he can't do anything. He asks Sonny what is to stop him from taking Jerry down. Jason tells Sonny that Bobbie was the one who put Michael into his arms for the first time. He couldn't tell Bobbie then that she was Michael's grandmother because he had to keep Carly's secret. But why should he have to keep Jerry's secret? He hates this for Bobbie, he hates that Bobbie thinks Jerry is a great guy when he isn't. Sonny says that he hates it too. It's rotten to love somebody and then find out who they are. Carly walks down the stairs and up the aisle. Bobbie follows, looking so happy. She makes her way down the aisle, stopping to smile at Luke and Lucas, and joins Jerry at the altar. As the minister is about to begin the ceremony, FBI agents storm into the Brownstone and inform Jerry that he is under arrest. Sonny tells Jason that he wants Marino out. He wants to drop one more tip through Hannah and get rid of her. He's worried that he is in over his head with her. Jason is worried that he hasn't told Bobbie about Jerry's money laundering. She's been so good to him in the past. Hannah comes in to say she's home. Sonny leaves with her. Carly goes to Jason and tells him what happened. She is stunned that he knew. She feels betrayed that he knew and didn't tell her or Bobbie, but eventually he makes her understand. He was just keeping his word which she admires. She forgives him. They kiss, really kiss, no cheek peck here. Carly gets him to admit that he kissed her without any of her trickery. She tells him she is in love with him and knows that he loves her, not because he has told her but by the things he says and does. She tells him she wants to come home. Before he can respond, they are interrupted by Sonny. Carly leaves. Sonny tells Jason that Luke wants Sonny to meet him on the pier. Jason tells Sonny about Jerry’s arrest.Luke and Sonny meet on the docks. Luke is angry. Sonny says he couldn’t tell Luke because he had given his word. They start to get into a pushing match but are separated by Jason and Roy. Sonny and Jason leave. Jason and Sonny return to Jason’s penthouse. Jason gets the call from Liz and leaves. Musical Montage as a soulful song played while we watched: Carly touch her lips, Jax looking intently at his wedding band, Chloe and Ned hugging warmly, Liz and Jason riding the motorcycle, Carly kissing the engagement ring Jason gave her, Sonny looking out the window, then looking totally pissed as he turned away, Roy on the docks, Bobbie crying in her apartment. Jason arrives at Bobbie's, and tells her he's sorry. He knew about what Jerry was up to, he saw the receipts, and he didn't tell her. Bobbie is stricken, realizing the truth of Jerry's guilt. Bobbie asks if Jason is the one who turned Jerry in, or if he knew Jerry was going to be arrested, and Jason assures her he did not. He explains that he had given his word not to tell and apologizes again. Bobbie, crying, reminds him that he knew about Carly and Michael, too, and didn't tell her. How long had he known about Jerry? Five or six months, he replies. Jason asks if there is anything at all he can do for her, and she replies that if he loves Carly, he should tell her. Later, Sonny and Jason are in the penthouse when flowers arrive from Mike. Sonny is telling Jason how much he dreads the whole Thanksgiving dinner thing with Hannah when Carly arrives to speak to Jason. She asks him if he's sorry (referring to the kiss), he say no, she says she isn't either and departs. Sonny asks, "What's that about" and Jason replies, "Probably total disaster". Carly played with Michael in his room and told him that they had a lot to be thankful for, but the money and the stuff wasn't the most important thing. The most important thing was that they had someone who loved them and they'd be going to stay with him soon. She remembered her life with Jason from the day they met until the present. Liz runs into Jason on the docks and shows him the painting she did of Lucky for her art class. Carly sees Liz give Jason a hug and does not seem to happy about it. After Liz leaves to go and give her painting to the professor of Lucky, Carly comes down and tells Jason that after their kiss they have now moved on to a new "place". He tells her that he trust's her not to hurt him but she can not take any chances that will end up hurting michael. She says she will be patient and then tries to kiss him and he says with a smile that that is not thinking.Liz was having a very bad day, she started to cry just as Jason walked in. She told Jason that her art project of Lucky had not been accepted and she was devastated. Jason told her that Lucky would have loved it and wouldn't have cared if it was accepted or not. Liz said that she would give anything to be with Lucky for just one minute. She asked Jason if he'd do something for her, put change in the jukebox and played "their song". She asked Jason to dance with her and he did, holding her close while she closed her eyes and remembered. Carly looked through the window, saw them and started to cry. After a few minutes, she left. After the song ended, Liz pulled away and thanked Jason. She said she thought that maybe for a minute she could feel as though Lucky was there, but it didn't work. She said she had to accept that Lucky was gone, but that nothing could ever make the hurt go away. She wondered why she had to keep learning that lesson over and over. Jason said that some things happen fast, but you have to get over them slow. He told her he had to leave, that he had somewhere he had to be and asked if she'd be all right. She said she would and thanked him again. He left and she started to cry. At the penthouse, there was a knock on the door and Carly came in. She asks what Sonny knows about Elizabeth Webber? She wants to know what she is to Jason? He responds that she is beautiful, she's not married, she's not loud, and she's not ignorant. Sonny insinuates that Jason has fallen for her. Carly demands to know if Jason is seeing her behind Carly’s back. Carly’s insecurities surface and she winds up sleeping with Sonny. There is montage of scenes with Jason in the limo going to the meeting with Moreno. He is sitting with a bodyguard. Then we flash to this cool scene in Sonny’s bedroom where he knocks the bedside light onto the floor to make room to toss Carly around. The light explodes on the floor with a star filter effect. They romp up onto the bed then and it cuts to Jason getting out of the limo with the bodyguard. Moreno’s men greet him with a hail of gunfire and Jason dives to the ground. Then we go to a scene of Carly straddling Sonny and he rips her shirt off of her and it cuts to Jason getting up in the gunfire and diving over top of the limo. This then goes to Sonny rolling off on Carly and shots of both of them lying on their backs, looking very upset, cut to Jason lying motionless in the snow. Shoes are seen walking around the car next to which Jason is lying. It's Sorel and Moreno, and they half-jokingly discuss Jason's merits as "lieutenant" - his valor and unflagging loyalty to Sonny. Just as they prepare to finish him off, Jason suddenly rolls over and pulls his own gun, shooting Moreno, and rushes away in a hail of bullets pursued by Moreno's other gunmen. Moreno is lying slumped against the wall, obviously badly wounded. Sorel walks over to him, gun drawn, and tells him that it has been a pleasure working for him and that he's learned a lot, but that "in this business there are limited opportunities for growth. We have to make the most of our opportunities, and I'm sure that in my position, you would do the same". Sorel prepares to shoot Moreno. Sonny and Carly are in bed at Sonny's, both clutching their heads in the "what have I done" posture. Sonny tells Carly she can leave any time, and she laughs, snidely remarking "I'm excused?" They go back and forth a bit, and Sonny remarks "People like us, we light a match and the whole house burns". Carly wants a shower, but after telling her that it won't help, Sonny instructs her to just leave the dirty towel on the floor. He, wearing a robe, prepares to leave the room, and Carly wants to know where he's going, but he answers only "Does it matter? I need a drink". Jason comes in as Sonny is pouring his drink. Without really looking at Jason, who is moving slowly and looks pretty rough, Sonny asks if the meeting went down as planned, and Jason answers that the meeting went wrong. Just then Carly comes down the stairs dressed in Sonny's shirt, saying that she can't find the towel. She stops dead when she sees Jason, Sonny is silent, Jason stricken, Carly horrified. DVD #15B Jason looks slowly from Sonny to Carly and turns to go. Carly goes to stop him, but Sonny grabs her and stops her from going after him. Jason is walking slowly in the park in the snow, stumbling, standing still and holding his side. He is wounded. Jason is lying in the snow as Liz strolls past. She sees the body, tentatively rolls it over, and is horrified to see that it is Jason. She calls his name, checks his pulse and begins slapping his face gently to try to rouse him. He opens his eyes, and asks for help. Liz sits him up and discovers that he is bleeding. He slumps over, but Liz once again sets him up, then with great difficulty gets him to his feet. She manages to get him to the boxcar, where she covers him with her coat. She wants to go get help for him, but he won't let her. He tells no police, and she shouldn't be involved either. He asks her to fetch the first aid kit, and she leaves.Back at Sonny's, there is a knock at the door and Johnny announces that Elizabeth is there to see Sonny. Curious, Sonny tells Johnny to let her in. She tells him that she has news about Jason, but apologizing to Hannah, would like to speak to Sonny privately. Hannah says that's fine, she was just leaving. Liz tells Sonny that Jason has been shot, that he's in the boxcar and she's afraid he's dying. She explains that she found him in the snow, he has a wound in his side, and he needs a doctor but won't let her get one. Sonny grabs his coat and tells Liz to tell him where the boxcar is so he can help Jason. He'll drop her off first, as Jason is right in that she can't be involved. At the boxcar, Sonny wakes Jason, seeing his injury. Sonny asks why Jason didn't tell him last night that he'd been shot, but Jason replies, "Just when was I supposed to mention it?" Liz arrives at GH in frantic search of Bobbie. She runs into Nikolas who helps her search for Bobbie. Once they find her, Liz takes Bobbie aside and says that she needs her, it's an emergency. At the boxcar, Jason tells Sonny that he thinks the bleeding is subsiding. He still refuses to go to the doctor. He tells Sonny that Elizabeth went to get a first aid kit. He tells Sonny that he will be okay. Sonny asks Jason if he would rather die than accept help from him. Jason shrugs off Sonny's help. Sonny tells Jason that last night he found out what he really is and what Carly really is. Sonny tells him that he doesn't have to hate him because he already hates himself. Jason tells Sonny to never speak to him about it again. Sonny is trying to take Jason out of the boxcar when Liz and Bobbie arrive. They push Sonny aside and immediately start to work on Jason. Bobbie reluctantly tells Sonny, at his insistence, that she will not report this. Bobbie is cutting Jason's shirt to allow better access to his bullet wound. Liz and Sonny watch as Bobbie works on Jason. Liz promises Sonny that Bobbie is the only one she told. Sonny tells Liz that she cannot tell anyone or she will endanger Jason's life. He tells Liz that she can't come back to the boxcar. Liz says that she can't promise that. She explains that Lucky used to live there and Sonny nods in understanding. Meanwhile, Bobbie has finished bandaging Jason's wound and wants to take him to the hospital. Sonny says and no and Jason asks to speak to Sonny alone. Jason tells Sonny what happened. Sonny tells Jason that he is going to get him to a safe house. He steps out of the boxcar and Liz and Bobbie rush back in to tend to Jason. Liz and Bobbie are getting Jason ready to move. Jason tells them that they have to leave or Sonny's people won't be able to come. He thanks them for saving his life. They reluctantly leave Jason alone in the boxcar. Jason is trying to step down and walk, but is having trouble. Liz arrives and asks if he is going somewhere. Jason says that he is going to check into his hotel and take care of himself. He doesn't want help from Sonny's people. He tells Liz that she doesn't listen very well. Liz says that she knows of a place where he can hide. She asks him if he will let her help him. Jason says that he doesn't have much choice. Liz puts her arm around his waist and helps him walk away from the boxcar. Liz takes Jason to her art studio and tries to take care of him. She helps him lie down on the sofa and covers him in blankets. When she tells him that she is going to Sonny's to get antibiotics, Jason insists that she not notify Sonny of his whereabouts. Elizabeth arrives at Sonny’s, picks up the medicine and quickly departs without revealing Jason's location. Elizabeth came to check on Jason and she again begged him to go to a hospital. He refused. He said that he was feeling a lot better and she felt his head with her hands and said they were too cold for her to tell if his fever had broken, so she felt his forehead with her cheek. She asked him if she wanted some soup and he said he thought he could eat some, so she left to go to Kelly's to pick some up. Carly is at Kelly’s when Liz calls in sick. Tammy is worried about her as she didn’t show up for work last night and now callling in, that this isn’t like her. Carly realizes Jason is with Liz. She goes to the studio and watches through the window until Liz leaves. Carly came in, she stroked Jason's face and he said, "That was quick," without opening his eyes. Carly asked Jason if he was sick or what, then saw that he was shot. He asked her to leave him alone and she said she couldn't do that. She asked him who Elizabeth was to him and told him how she had seen them dancing that night and she had panicked. She told Jason how sorry she was and that she'd never do it again. He said that she had done it to hurt him and he knew that she'd do things like this in the future when she felt a need to hurt him. She swore she wouldn't, that it wasn't like that, that she loved him. He said that he loved her too but that it didn't matter any more. He told her to leave and to not come back. She started to cry and told him that she knew he hated her now, but that he would forgive her, because that's what he does. She left. Carly confronted Elizabeth on the docks and Elizabeth warned her not to even think about going to her art studio and bothering Jason, that she was not welcome there. Carly tried to get up in her face and be intimidating, calling her 'little girl'. Elizabeth put the smack down on her saying that she knew Carly had done something to hurt him and that she wasn't going to have the chance to do it again until Jason was strong enough to fight for himself. Carly told her Jason didn't need to fight her and Elizabeth said that he didn't, because she'd do it for him. Carly told her she had gotten rid of one little angel and she could get rid of her too. Elizabeth smirked and said, "Oh, trust me, I'm nobody's little angel. You want a fight? You got one." She then stomped off and Carly yelled after her, 'He doesn't need you, he loves me!" Elizabeth goes to her studio and is frightened to find that Jason is not where she left him. He comes in after a minute or two, and tells her that he was just down the hall washing up (there's running water in the studio, but no hot water). As Elizabeth heats up some soup for him on the hot plate, he tells her that he wants to get out and that she shouldn't be involved. Carly arrives at Elizabeth's studio, and watches unseen from the door as Elizabeth feeds Jason the soup and chats with him. She hides when Elizabeth leaves to go to work at Kelly's, then pulls the fire alarm outside the studio door. Carly rushes off after pulling the fire alarm in the building that houses Liz's art studio. Jason opens the door to peek out and sees nothing. He goes back inside and pulls the shade on the door. Carly is watching around the corner to see what he does. She looks disappointed when Jason does not come out again. The fire department has arrived and is making everyone leave the building. Carly tries to find out if Jason has left, but the fireman makes her leave. He then breaks down the door of Liz's studio with an axe and makes Jason leave as well. Jason gingerly makes his way down to the docks and tries to sit inconspicuously on a bench. Carly finds him and asks if he is okay. She pretends that she knows nothing about the fire alarm and offers to help. She says that she wants to take care of him. Jason accuses her of pulling the alarm and she can't deny it. He angrily asks what it is going to take to make her quit. He asks her what he is going to have to do. Carly tells Jason that she can't quit and she won't, ever. She says that she loves him and deep down she knows that he still needs her. She messes up and she is a lot of trouble. She knows that she is a selfish person, but she knows that his life is better because she is in it. She apologizes for making such a mess of things with the fire alarm. She just wanted him to run out and then she could take care of him. She didn't know this was going to happen. Jason says that he doesn't care what she wants to happen. Carly tries to convince Jason to let her take him to Bobbie’s. She can't just leave him out here. Liz walks up as Jason and Carly are talking. She stays back while Jason tells Carly that it is her fault that he is outside in the first place. He asks her if she realizes what she has done. He could be in danger because of her. His wound could start bleeding again and then he would have to go to the hospital. The cops could be waiting for him and all because she won't leave him alone. Carly says that she can get him out of here. Jason replies that he would rather be any place than with her. Carly tells Jason that she only wanted to keep him safe. Jason tells Carly that he doesn't care what she wants. He asks if she can get that. He isn't going anywhere with her. He tells her to stay the hell away from him. Carly finally gives in and leaves. Liz rushes up as Jason tries to stand up. She puts her arm around him to help him walk just as the fire department tells everyone that they can go back into the building. Jason drapes his arm over Liz's shoulder for support just as Nikolas walks. Nikolas does not look happy as he watches Liz and Jason walking away with their arms around each other. Jason is slumped over on the couch in Liz's art studio. As gently as she can, Liz sits him up so that she can check his wound. She carefully removes the bandage so that she can assess the damage and change the dressing ( a very nice view of Jason's chest). As she leans over him to examine the wound, Nikolas who has followed them to her studio, pushes open the door a little to see what is going on. Having completely misinterpreted the situation, Nikolas angrily pushes open the door and yells at Jason to get the hell away from Liz. Nikolas confronts Elizabeth and Jason. When Liz won't answer his questions, Nikolas attacks Jason, pushing him into a wall. Elizabeth becomes very angry and demands to know what Nikolas' motivations are. Nikolas responds unkindly, rubbing Lucky's death in her face and accusing Liz of moving on too quickly. In an effort to get Nikolas to leave, Elizabeth tells him that she is sleeping with Jason and he is her boyfriend. She throws Nik out, claiming that she and Jason were about to make love when he entered the studio. After Nikolas has left, Liz is worried about Jason's health because Nikolas' anger resulted in a reopening of Jason's wound. As she bandages her friend, Jason confesses that he feels bad for intruding on her life and offers to call Sonny and have him bring help. Liz contends that Jason does not truly desire to leave the studio and he reluctantly agrees. The two then share a few laughs and talk about the things that they have in common. Jason reveals that he watches Liz paint when she thinks that he is sleeping and tells her that she talks and sings to herself, which causes Liz to laugh. Jason is still at Elizabeth's studio, and Carly is watching from outside the door as he rises and moves around in obvious pain. She leaves. As Liz is leaving the diner, Sonny is waiting. He asks her about Jason, but she tells him that Jason just wants to be left alone. Sonny persists, does Jason need medicine? A doctor? Is he in pain? Liz explains that Jason is in pain, but not just physical pain, something seems to have happened that is causing him emotional distress. Sonny acknowledges this, but refuses to explain what happened. He offers her money to help cover Jason's expenses, but she turns him down and leaves. Carly and Bobbie arrive at the studio, but when they knock, Jason just tells Carly to go away. She points out that she has brought Bobbie, and Jason reluctantly lets them in. Bobbie inspects the wound and changes the dressing, pronouncing it a little better, but instructs Jason to call her if it opens up again. Bobbie leaves, and Jason wants Carly to go, too, but she refuses. He insists, explaining that it hurts him to think of her with Sonny, but still she refuses to go; she wants to help him, to explain, to apologize. They go back and forth a couple times, and as Carly is insisting that Jason cares about her and she must be with him. Liz enters and demands to know what Carly is doing there after she told her to stay away. She asks Carly what it is going to take to get through to her. This is her studio. Jason is her guest and Carly is not welcome. Carly tells Liz that she is in way over her head. Liz tells Carly to tell that to her husband. Carly ignores that comment and tells Liz that Jason needs help. Liz says that Jason needs rest and quiet. And that means Carly has to go. Now. Carly says that she isn't leaving because Jason doesn't want her to. She turns to Jason and asks him to tell Liz that he doesn't want her to leave. Jason stands up and tells Carly that he asked her to go and he meant it. Liz says that that is good enough for her. She tells Carly that she wants her gone because Jason needs his rest and he obviously doesn't want Carly around. Carly turns to Liz in total cat fight mode ready to defend her man. She angrily tells Liz to stop because she doesn't know squat about anything. She is just a little girl scout. She just wants to put Jason up on a pedestal, worship him for a little while. Jason tells Carly to stop, but both women ignore him. Liz tells Carly that all she is is someone else's wife. Carly tells Liz that she didn't love her little boyfriend very much. If she did, she wouldn't disrespect her like she this. Liz knows that Lucky was her cousin. She obviously didn't care about her own boyfriend and that is why she is trying to steal Jason. Liz tells Carly that she really does live up to her reputation. Jason steps in when Carly lunges for Liz. He tells Carly that she is leaving and demands that she go now. Carly finally leaves Once Carly is gone, Jason apologizes to Liz. He tells her that he should be the one to leave. Liz tells Jason to forget it. He is not leaving. Jason tells her that Carly is not going to let up and it isn't fair. She already lied to Nikolas about them sleeping together and he doesn't want her to have to lie anymore, and he definitely doesn't want her to have to take on Carly. Liz insists that Jason stay. She already lied to Nikolas, why let it be for nothing. She assures him that she can handle Carly if she has to. She knows that she can't make him stay, but he is her friend and if he disappears, all she is going to do is worry about him. Besides, she kind of likes having him around. Liz laughs in relief when Jason suggests getting a padlock for the door. She gets him settled back on the couch and says that she is going to get him something to eat. She asks him to promise that he will be there when she gets back. Jason promises and Liz leaves with instructions for him to rest. Jason is asleep on the couch. He wakes up when Audrey lets herself in and says "Oh my God". Jason looks up and sees Audrey. Knowing that this is just more trouble for Liz, he lays his head back on the couch and closes his eyes in resignation. Misinterpreting the situation, Audrey informs Jason that Liz is barely 18 years old and that she has hardly gotten over Lucky's death. Jason tries to protests saying that Audrey has misunderstood. Liz arrives just as Audrey is telling Jason that she doesn't want him anywhere near her granddaughter. Liz informs her grandmother that she isn't going to let her send Jason away. Liz refuses to permit her grandmother to mistreat Jason. Jason leaves in an effort to give Liz and Audrey a chance to sort things out. After he has left, Audrey expresses her disappointment in her granddaughter, but Liz expresses equal disappointment in Audrey. Liz then offers to move out of Audrey's home and move into the art studio so that her grandmother will be unable to make decisions for her in the future. On the docks, Sonny encounters Liz and asks about Jason's condition. Liz provides the requisite details and then heads off. Liz locates Jason and returns him to her studio. Jason informs Liz that he has to leave because he complicates her life. Liz replies that she makes her own decisions and urges Jason not to tell her what to do. Liz examines his wound and determines that it is healing, but he is more concerned with her argument with Audrey. Liz explains that she must be her own person and not let Audrey or anyone else tell her how to live her life. Later, she is sketching fruit as her lifts a heavy book to build up the injured arm. Liz scolds him about doing too much, then leaves to go to the diner to get food. Back at the studio, Jason is just coming in the door. He tries to get his coat off, but isn't successful before Liz returns with the lunch and a little Christmas tree in a bucket. Jason can see that something is troubling her and she mentions meeting Nikolas at the diner, but doesn't want to discuss it. Liz is chatting on about Christmas Past when she suddenly notices that Jason has his jacket on. She gives him a lecture about doing too much, then makes a deal that she'll help him off with the jacket if he'll help her decorate the tree. They decorate the tree with paper chains and are companionable with one another. Jason and Elizabeth are fooling with Michael's globe, playing the "tell one fact about…" game. He knows some facts about Ethiopia, which impresses her; she can't come up with any about his choice for her, Uzbekistan. Liz arrives at GH with apologies to Audrey for being late. Audrey tells her that she needs to go to the board room immediately. Liz starts to rush off, but is stopped by Nikolas. He asks if she has a minute. When she says that she doesn't, he tells her that it is important. Liz stops and turns to look at him with a "this had better be good" look on her face. Liz blows Nikolas off and runs into Jason as he arrives. She is happy to see him up and about. He explains that he just wanted to be able to watch Michael enjoy the party from a distance. He teases her about her costume and playfully steals her hat. Nikolas watches in disgust as Liz tries to get her hat back from Jason. Unable to take it any longer, Nik grabs Jason and tells him to leave Liz alone. Liz pulls Nik off Jason and tells him to stay out of it. Nik isn't anywhere near ready to let this one go and lunges at Jason again. Jason tells Nik to stay out of it, but Nik doesn't listen. Carly walks off of the elevator just as Nik screams at Jason that he doesn't own Liz just because he is sleeping with her which causes Jason to punch Nik. Nik and Jason continue to fight until Sonny and Stefan pull them apart. Stefan is shocked at Nik's behavior, but Nik continues to try and fight with Jason. Liz tells Nikolas that he has not right to tell her what to do. Jason says that he is going to leave and Liz says that she is going with him. Audrey starts to protest, but Liz turns and tells her that she doesn't care what any of them think, that this is her life. With that, Liz and Jason get onto to the elevator with Nik, screaming after Liz that she won't have a life when Jason is through with her. Santa arrives as the stunned onlookers watch Jason and Liz go. Bobbie tells Dave Koz to hit it, and everyone gathers for the annual Christmas procession. The Christmas montage is shown to "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas as the Q's share Christmas together, Jax and Chloe share a kiss while Ned and Alexis do the same, Emily and Juan share a kiss under the mistletoe,Bobbie is alone with a gift that Jerry had delivered to the hospital, she can't help but look a little sad as she eats her red licorice, Roy comes across Hannah on the docks and gathers her up into a comforting hug, Sonny stares out the window of his penthouse and watches the snow fall. Tammy and Mike leave together happily arm in arm just as Nik, arrives at Kelly's to look for Liz, Liz presents Jason with a Christmas gift and a kiss on the cheek. Jason is clearly touched by the gesture, Stefan arrives at Laura's with her Christmas gift. He is saddened when no one answers his knock, montage closes as the reunited Scorpio's are happily gathered around the tree. Bobbie stops by the studio to check on Jason. She tells him that Liz does not need to reputation of being known as his girlfriend. Liz returns to the studio and Jason tells her that it’s time for him to leave. Jason tells Liz that it is time for him to figure out how to live his life and that he’s grateful for what she’s done for him. Liz makes a speech about how being with him showed her how she wants to live her life, alone, in the studio. Well, not exactly alone, she really meant alone with him. He tells her that it’s his turn to learn how to live his life. Jason leaves. An upset Emily arrived at Liz’s studio. She went off on Elizabeth for not telling her about Jason. Elizabeth tried to explain how her relationship with Jason had started and how much she needed it when she was missing Lucky so much, that Jason was her safe place. Emily was not to be calmed and yelled at her, saying that she had been walking on eggshells all year to not make her feel bad with Juan and had offered repeatedly to not kiss him if it bothered her. Elizabeth tried to make her understand that this was her deal and she was doing the best she could. Emily kept griping about it and finally, in frustration, Elizabeth told her to stop acting like an immature little brat. Emily freaked out and told Elizabeth that she saw how it was, that she was the kid sister and Elizabeth and Jason are adults. She said she guessed the four musketeers were just kid stuff too and left. Jason snuck around the Q's window, watching Carly hand Michael to Leticia. Carly saw him and came outside. He said he had to go and she told him he couldn't and accused him of leaving town. She told him how much she and Michael needed him and begged him not to go. He said he had to. There was a knock on the door and Johnny let Jason into Sonny's penthouse. He started to speak and Jason told him not to say anything. He curtly informed him that he was moving back into his own penthouse and would be starting back to work. Sonny asked him if he meant the warehouse and Jason said no, he was talking about the territory and asked Sonny if he had a problem with that. Carly arrives at the penthouse with Michael. Jason is not thrilled to see them, he doesn't want to see Carly at all, and feels that it confuses Michael to see him. Carly insists that Michael is not confused, and that she wanted him to see his father on his birthday. Jason presents Michael with his gift, a very fancy toy motorcycle, then sees them to the elevator and tells Carly "never again". Next to arrive at the penthouse is Emily, who encounters Jason at the elevator. She is very annoyed about the way she found out about Jason's supposed affair with Liz, and demands to know why no one ever tells her anything. Jason explains that there is no affair, that Nikolas was wrong in his assumptions, and then soothes Emily, who now feels like an idiot and says she owes Liz an apology. Jason and Emily exchange hugs and loves, and she leaves. Carly meets Liz outside, and demands to know if she is on her way to Jason's to throw herself at him. Carly tells Liz once again that Jason doesn't want Liz and that she should go back to wherever she came from. Liz counters with the assertion that Jason trusts her whereas he sent Carly away. She tells Carly to back off, and walks away leaving Carly standing there silently. Liz walks towards her studio. Sorel and one of his men appear from their hiding place. The man wants to know if he should "do it now", but Sorel insists that they stick to their plan, do it tomorrow. Jason and Liz arrive back at the studio after a motorcycle ride that Liz is still gushing over. As they pass by, Sorel and his man appear from their hiding place. We see that they have placed a bomb underneath Liz's table, set to go off in 15:00 minutes. Liz offers Jason some soup, but he turns her down and after wishing each other a happy New Year, Jason leaves. Liz drops her glove, and we see that the clock now reads 14:35. Jason, outside, sees Sorel's man crouching, watching Liz's building. Jason demands to know what the man is doing, and the two begin to fight. Roy appears and holds the man while Jason hits him, demanding again to know why he was looking at Liz's building, then they switch and Jason holds him while Roy hits and questions him. The man blurts out that there is a bomb under Liz's table, and they throw him aside and rush back to her studio (5:00). Jason gets Liz out of the building while Roy tries to diffuse the bomb (3:06). Outside, Jason gives Liz his coat and tries to call 911 on the cell phone, but the line is busy. Inside the studio, Roy rushes to get a tool, is uncertain as to which wire to cut, chooses one, and the bomb is diffused, with one second to spare. In the street outside the studio, Bobbie happens upon Jason and Liz. Liz explains about the bomb and Bobbie is set to rush in to try to help Roy, but just then he comes out. Bobbie runs to him, saying, "how could you risk dying on me again?" Later, Taggert, Hannah, Jason, Bobbie, Liz and Roy are all outside the studio building together, and Taggert wants to know how they knew there was a bomb inside. Roy mumbles something about a psychic flash, and gives an equally smart-aleck answer to the next question, how he knew the expert way to diffuse a bomb. Hannah leaves, Taggert takes Roy and Jason in for questioning, and Liz goes to stay with Bobbie for a few days. Jason tells Sonny what happened at Liz's studio and how Roy is a stand up guy. Sonny seems suspicious that Roy is always in the right place at the right time. Sonny tries to explain why Hannah was there and Jason says he doesn't want to know. He leaves. Elizabeth is next to arrive at the penthouse. She knocks at Jason's door, but when she gets no answer, turns to Sonny's door and knocks there. He answers the door himself, and Elizabeth questions him about Jason. Sonny assures her that he is fine, just out of town on business. Elizabeth continues to fish for information, but Sonny is not forthcoming, so after she asks him to ask Jason to call her, she leaves. Sonny tells Jason that Liz stopped by and was worried about him. Jason says he will check in with her. Jason drops by Kelly's and Liz runs out to see him. He tells her they can't see each other anymore and they share a big emotional scene where she tries unsuccessfully to change his mind. She's crying as she goes back into the diner and says she doesn't need "any more people in her life who are going to treat her like she's some porcelain doll that needs to be protected". Jason looks pretty upset by this as she goes. Liz drops a tub of dishes in the sink and sobs. Jason goes to the park and also looks pretty bummed as he replays his conversation with Liz in his mind. Hannah goes to Jason and asks him to tell Sonny that she loves him. Jason tells her to get out and Sonny walks in. Sonny walks in on Jason telling Hannah to leave. Wants to know if she's there to get evidence. Then proves he's no dummy by saying no, you thought you could get to me thru Jason. Hannah goes into her sob story. After she leaves, the two guys have a stilted conversation about how Sorel’s explosive guy was in town the day before the bomb was found, the need to beef up security for an expected shipment and Jason’s wound. Alone again, Jason looks at a picture of Michael and Carly, remembering when he told Michael he couldn't see him anymore. Clearly Jason is having second thought about his ability to continue in current situation, can't even trust Sonny the way he used to (thus paving the way for Steve Burtons' exit).Sorel approaches Liz himself on the docks. He convinces her to stop and talk to him with the mention of Jason's safety. Jason races to her rescue, he grabs and restrains the Sorel. Jason tells his her to leave, but she refuses. Jason lets Sorel go but only after warning him very sternly to stay away from Elizabeth. Jason scolds her for not listening. Jason tells her he is staying away from because he does care about her. She asks if he misses her? He admits that he does, and she tells him that she misses him too and she doesn’t see why she has to. Jason tries to explain to her that there will always be someone that wants the territory and her friendship with Jason will make her a target. She points out that he has stayed away from her and yet Sorel still approached her so his tactic wasn’t working. She says it is a risk she is willing to take. She tells him that when she is with him that she doesn’t have to pretend. He tells her that he has to be able to trust her. She assures him that he can. He tells her that she has to listen to him if he tells her to leave or that she can’t be around. She says she can’t promise to leave him if he is hurt or in danger. He says there are parts of his business that she can’t know anything about. She agrees. The issue resolved, he takes her for a ride on his bike. Jason is not pleased that Carly brought Michael to his penthouse. Her pretense is that Michael can't sleep and she'll only stay until he does. Jason starts to read to him. We come back to them later, and Michael's asleep. Jason chews Carly out. She tries to tell him what she did at the party but he's not interested. He accuses her of putting Michael in the middle rather than keeping what's best for him in mind. She begs for his help, but he declines. Jason asks why she can't just stay away, she says because Michael needs him. Back at the Q's Michael is awake, and Carly is "reading" to him. She's really telling him about how much Jason loves him. Jason is writing a letter to Michael saying he loves him very much, even though by the time he reads it, he won't remember Jason anymore. Jason meets Emily on the docks to say good-bye, he's leaving for good. Emily asks who or what is pushing Jason to leave. Jason tells Emily that staying would hurt all the people he cares about. Jason asks a very upset Emily to watch over Michael. He promises to write. They say how they love each other. Jason goes to see Lila to say good-bye. Lila tells him to remember how loved he is and asks him to say good-bye to Michael. Jason says good-bye to Monica. He tells her is not telling Carly and asks that Monica not tell anyone until he leaves town. He says he now understands how she loves him, that's how he feels about Michael. He tells Monica he loves her, which of course makes Monica very happy. He asks to see Michael one last time, but only if Michael doesn't see him. Jason watches Monica and Lila playing with Michael. He is saying good-bye to Michael through the window, very sad! Carly approached Jason, telling him no explanations or excuses, that she just wanted to know if her actions had lost her his ‘being there to catch her’. Jason says he’ll always help her when she needs it, but he can’t ‘love her the way she wants him to’. Basically, he says he’s not strong enough for her, they’re friends, the best of friends, and that he hopes she’s happy, that she finds someone who can love her the way she needs, but it’s not him and never was. Carly tells him, sweetly, that the kind of love he’s given her, being a person she could count on and that was exactly what she’d always needed. They hug, he tells her to trust herself with Michael and to watch out for him, and leaves. Next, Jason tells Liz that he’s leaving town. Liz doesn’t react well. She tells him if he’s leaving to protect her, she’ll hurt less if he stays. He says he doesn’t want her to be afraid all the time, and that is only part of it, anyway. Eventually, they come to an understanding, he kisses her long and lingeringly on the forehead, tells her ‘goodbye’ and Liz responds, with a shaky smile, ‘See ya later’, and runs off. Jason looks after her, lingeringly. Jason goes to the penthouse to tell Sonny he’s leaving, not because of Sonny/Carly as Sonny first presumes but because his staying ‘hurts to many people’, mainly Elizabeth and Michael. Sonny latches onto Carly as a reason for Jason’s departure; Jason defends her. He says if he stays, Carly’ll keep fighting for to be a family with him and Michael. If he leaves, she’ll fight for Michael. Finally, he says he just needs Sonny to accept that he needs to leave, as he gives him power of attorney, all his worldly goods, etc. He asks Sonny to watch out for Elizabeth and take it easy on Carly. Sonny tells Jason he’s the worst enemy Jason ever had, not just for the Carly stuff but for what he made Jason into. Jason retorts that he forgives Sonny and wants Sonny to forgive himself. They speak of growing up, and Sonny tells Jason, finally, that perhaps it’s a good thing he’s leaving as he may find his life outside of Port Charles or he may find that he left his life behind and come back. Either way, he’ll know, now. Jason calls Sonny the only father he ever had, and tells him Sonny gave him his life. Sonny, with a crack in his voice, admonishes Jason not to ‘die on him’. Jason left, and Sonny cried, alone A montage-ish cut between Carly taking a home pregnancy test, finding out it’s positive and despairing; Liz staring out over the water on the docks; and finally, finally, Jason on his motorcycle, heading out of town. “Don’t know where I’m going .... now that I’m gone....” Carly is pounding on Jason's door, but there is no answer. She talks her way past Johnny and gets into Sonny's apartment. He tells her that Jason isn't coming back. She doesn't believe him and tells him about her conversation with Jason on the docks. He told her "they'd always be the best of friends". Sonny's reply: "Don't you know goodbye when you hear it?" She begs to know where Jason is because she's really screwed up this time and needs him. Sonny honestly doesn't know and wouldn't tell her even if he did know. Sonny finally says, "Jason left because of you." She begs Sonny to tell Jason she has to tell him something. He finally acknowledges that it took two to "go that they probably both drove Jason away. Her parting shot is, "Honey, you have no idea." Emily arrived to tell Liz about Jason's departure, but Liz clearly already knew. They commiserated over the loss of Jason, described his shining character and shared memories. They agreed that they suspected Carly was somehow involved in the decision to leave town, and Emily trashed Carly until Liz explained that she thought Jason left because of the bomb and his assumption that she would be in danger as long as he was around. Nikolas entered in time to hear Emily tell Liz that Jason's leaving was not her fault and they agreed that they would just have to learn to live with his absence.Later, Alan and Monica discussed the reactions of Edward and AJ to the news of Jason's departure. Alan asked if Monica still had the films of Jason's third birthday party, and stated that he'd like to see them. He was disappointed, although not surprised, that Jason had left without saying goodbye to him, and mourned the loss of his son. Edward and Lila discussed Jason's departure. Edward said that he thought Jason's love for Michael would have kept him tied to them, but Lila explained that Jason thought that leaving would be best for Michael. Edward recounted Jason's recovery from the accident and regretted never having told him that he was proud of him, but Lila comforted him with the idea that Jason understood Edward perfectly. Elizabeth brought Sonny some brownies, and explained that she feels responsible for driving Jason away, but Sonny disagreed. She told the story of how she and Jason met, and how he felt he had to keep his distance after the bomb scare, but Sonny said that people disappointed Jason and that Liz was probably the only friend he could count on. She shared a memory about an old family portrait of hers, and Sonny commented that "people come, people go, that's what life's about." He reminded her that he is only a phone call away and offered her a home-cooked meal any time she wanted one. She thanked him and left.Later, Taggert pushed his way in, wanting to know how to get in touch with Jason. They swapped insults, then Sonny convinced him that Jason had gone, and Taggert left after commenting "Good things come to those who wait, one down, one to go." Carly went to Jason’s penthouse. She made a fire and was sitting on couch in the darkened room. Sonny on his way home, notices the door ajar and walksin. They talk about Jason. "We get what we deserve Carly, we destroy the people we love" he goes home. After the door closes she softly says, "By the way, Sonny, we're having a baby" In her studio, Elizabeth picked up a book and remembered special times with Jason, leading up to when he told her good-bye. 12/1/93 Hard Copy - Hottest
