Jason #11 September 21 - December 11, 1998 - 8 hour original edit
DVD #11A Mac
doesn’t want to leave things the way there are with Robin, but she tells
him that love can’t fix everything. Mac admits using love as an
excuse for his actions. They agree that they don’t want to lose each
other. Mac says he’ll still worry about Robin just not as much now. In
the hallway, Taggert continues to goad Jason but Jason realizes that
Taggert is angry that he’ll never get Jason, just like he never got
Sonny.
Music montage “Bittersweet Symphony”, Felicia comforts Mac and the
camera focuses on an older picture of Robin on Mac’s desk, Robin and
Jason are playing with Michael, Justus is standing on his balcony thinking
about his past and his future, he’s got tears welling up in his eyes,
Bobbie is sitting on the sofa, Lucas is asleep in her arms, she is crying
Jerry is still being interrogated by the Feds, but he’s not talking,
he’s staring off into space,Jax is being led out of the interrogation
room in handcuffs. V looks up at him, trying to convey her support, he
looks back at her, grateful for her support. Then there is a long shot of
Jax walking down the corridor almost in slow motion.
Robin and Jason go to Brenda's cottage to try to decide if they want to
move in. As Robin looks around, Jason says that they got the mail that
they came for and they don't have to stay. Robin says that there is no
point in thinking about living there if she can't even bear to be in the
house and Jason agrees. Jason says that if he could live anywhere it would
be with Robin so he doesn't care if they live in Brenda's cottage or not.
Robin says she remembers how Brenda used to sit on the couch and watch the
sunrise because it reminded her that every day was a chance for something
good to happen. Jason admits that despite all his protests, he got used to
Brenda and even started to like her. He even realized that she was brave
because you have to be to hope and Brenda always did.
After being released on bail, Jax goes to Brenda's cottage. He is angry
when he discovers Jason in the living room. He orders Jason out and then
backs off when he realizes Robin is there also. Robin explains that they
were just sorting through the mail and checking up on things. Jax and
Robin discuss his arrest. Robin tells Jax that she knows he is innocent
because he never would have lied to Brenda that way and Brenda never
doubted him. Jax says that he misses Brenda so much and that he has to
learn to live without her. He says he has to be close to her to let her
go. Jax is sad because he won't be able to keep Brenda's house. Robin says
that the realtor offered it to her and Jason and then tells Jax that Jason
has retired. Jax says Brenda would be relieved to know that she is safe.
Jason and Jax argue because Jax thinks that Jason turned the Jax family in
to save himself. Robin makes Jason tell Jax the truth, that he shredded
all the information he had on the Jax family the night he retired from the
organization, because she doesn't want Jason and Jax to hate each other
for no reason. Jax tells Robin that Brenda would have wanted her to look
after her home. Jason tells Jax that the whole time he and Brenda were
lost, Brenda kept telling him that she knew Jax would find them because he
loves her. Jason thought it was stupid at the time, but Brenda was right.
As Jason and Robin leave, Jax makes plane reservations to fly to Malibu.
Robin and Jason are playing house at the cottage, just like a regular
couple looking very relaxed, and Robin can't believe how happy she is.
Jason helped Robin through the pain of packing up Brenda's things at
the cottage. They discuss Carly's son and how he will be walking soon.
Robin explains to Jason that the cottage makes her feel closer to Brenda.
Bobbie comes over with a sled for her grandson. She thinks the cottage is
great. Bobbie asks about Carly's release date and 'where will Carly and
her son be living?' since there is no way Carly will live with Robin.
Jason says he won't even bother thinking about it until Carly gets out.
Bobbie suggests joint custody but Jason is quick to shoot down any
compromises or reasonable ideas. Bobbie points out the Carly will disrupt
everything when she returns but Jason brushes her off and leaves the room
to get his nephew.
Robin tells Bobbie that if Jason doesn't want to deal with it he won't and
Bobbie points out that they are sitting in a mine field. Bobbie is
holding her grandson when Monica enters uninvited. Jason thanks Bobbie for
the sled and she wastes no time in informing Monica 'accidentally' that
their grandson stayed the night with her. Bobbie leaves and Monica grovels
for the chance to babysit her grandson someday. Jason reminded Monica that
Michael would never go to the Quartermaine mansion again and that Monica,
Lila and Emily were the only Quartermaines allowed to have contact with
the baby. Alan barges in without a knock, totally strung out bearing a
potted plant. Jason orders him out, so does Monica and he finally leaves.
Monica apologizes for Alan and promises to call first before she visits
again and leaves. Jason orders Robin to never let Edward, Alan or AJ near
AJ's son. Robin tries to argue in favor of AJ but agrees. Robin and
Jason discuss their future with just the three of them.
Jason offered Lucky the spare room above the garage and Lucky accepted.
Robin brought Michael to the garage and Jason told her that Alan was still
using drugs. Robin tries to convince him to help Alan, as whether he likes
it or not, he is still his father. Jason refuses, saying he feels nothing
for him, and Robin calls the Q's mansion and tells AJ that Jason thinks
Alan's on drugs.
Jason has arrived at Ferncliff to visit Carly (this is Sarah's first scene
back from maternity leave). He meets with the doctor first and he hands
Jason all of the letters that he and Bobbie wrote to her, they are
unopened. Jason is upset, concerned that Carly might feel abandoned by
him, but the doctor tells him they would be disruptive to Carly’s
“progress”. They lead Carly into the visiting room. Jason is visibly
excited to see Carly, she smiles at him. Her demeanor is very reserved and
quiet. Jason watches Carly’s interaction with her doctor, trying to
figure out what is going on inside of her head. Carly asks about Michael
and then she tells him, “I’ve been learning that I have a right to my
own feelings and I don’t have to let them control me.” Jason just
stares at her as the doctor watches them both. Carly is prompted by her
doctor to tell Jason about her daily activities. She keeps looking to the
doctor for reassurance. Then the doctor is called away and he decides that
they can continue their visit unsupervised for a few minutes.
As soon as the doctor closes the door behind him, Carly relaxes. Jason
wants to wait until it is all clear, before they start talking. Carly runs
up to Jason and hugs him, telling him she’s missed him so much. Jason
tries to jam the door, so that they will have a bit of a warning before
the doctor returns. Carly is overjoyed! Jason tells Carly she is amazing -
the best liar on earth. She says she’s motivated. He pulls out a picture
of Michael; Carly wants to know how they both are doing. He tells Carly
that he did write letters to her and so did Bobbie that he just found out
today that she never got them. He’s worried that she thinks he forgot
about her. She tells him to wear one of his suits next time as he looks
more imposing and impressive. He reluctantly tells her he quit the
business. She can’t believe it! How is he going to bribe a judge, now
that he has no power? He explains that it’s all been taken care of as
soon as her doctor decides she is well, she can go home. She asks him to
bring her wallpaper and fabric samples next time he visits, so she can
daydream about how she will redecorate the penthouse. Jason looks worried.
He starts to tell Carly about Robin and his new living situation , but is
interrupted when the doctor returns. Carly then reverts to her withdrawn
and quiet self. Their visit is over. Jason asks when he can see
Carly next. He’s told he can return on Friday. Jason asks the doctor is
he can leave a picture of Michael with Carly and he agrees.
Jason tells Bobbie that he didn't really get a chance to tell Carly about
him and Robin. He knows that she's going to lose it when she hears and
thinks maybe it's for the best that he didn't tell her, since she needs to
be a zombie to convince the doctors to let her go. He'll see her again on
Friday and try to find out a release date. He promises to keep Bobbie
posted. Jason leaves to go back to the bike shop. Jerry comes up and
Bobbie hugs him, while a lurking Tony looks on. Mike shows up at the
bike shop and is thanked for watching Michael while Jason went to see
Carly. Mike wants to make sure everything is okay. Jason tells him that
the place Carly's at is bad and the letters never got to Carly, he can't
believe what they're putting Carly through. Mike is surprised that
Jason empathizes with Carly. Jason is determined to get Carly out as soon
as possible.
Jason is at the motorcycle shop telling Michael about his visit with
Carly. He says that Carly was glad to see him, but was mad about every day
she spends away from Michael. Robin arrives in the doorway as Jason is
telling Michael that his Mommy is coming home. Robin walks in and says
hello. Jason welcomes her home and asks her about her trip. Robin gives
Jason a gift from Heather and than laughs when he figures out what it is
right away. She says that Heather thinks he is a genius. Robin then tells
Jason that she heard him telling Michael about Carly. She asks if Jason
saw her. Jason says yes and tells Robin how bad the place is and that
Carly has the doctor completely fooled. Robin says that she knows better
than most people that Carly almost never gets caught in her lies, but that
it surprises her that Jason admires her for it since he never lies. Jason
says he admires Carly because she won't let anyone break her. Robin asks
if Jason thinks Carly will be that strong about Michael living with them.
Jason tells Robin that he didn't really get a chance to tell Carly of the
current living arrangements because they could only speak freely for the
few minutes that the doctor was out of the room. He promises that he will
tomorrow. Robin asks if he has thought about how much he will tell her.
Jason says that how he lives and who he loves is not up to Carly, but that
she is Michael's mother and she has to be okay with what he plans for him.
Robin says that Jason is picturing a calm, reasonable discussion, what if
Carly freaks when she finds out that the three of them are living together
like a family. Jason says he doesn't understand what Robin thinks is going
to happen, Carly isn't really nuts. As Jason walks away, Robin says No?
Jason says that Carly has been faking, does Robin really think she isn't.
Robin says certifiable is not what she is afraid of. Bobbie stops by and
asks Jason to say hello to Carly and to tell her that she is thinking
about her. Bobbie visits with Michael as a concerned Robin looks on.
Robin arrives at the motorcycle shop with Michael in tow. Jason asks why
she is there and Robin explains that Leticia's mother is still ill and she
has classes. Bobbie and Monica are in surgery and Emily is at school so
Jason is the only one left who can watch Michael. Jason says that he can't
watch Michael because he has to visit Carly. Robin asks why he can't
reschedule his visit. Jason says that he promised Carly that he would be
there, she's counting on him. If he doesn't show, Carly will start
thinking he doesn't care about her and that she will be stuck there
forever. Robin him that he had better find a sitter because she isn't
going to miss her class so he can go and see Carly. Jason tells Robin that
she hasn't seen the place where Carly is being held, her doctor is a
control freak. Jason can't understand how she has made it this long. Robin
is surprised that Jason feels sorry for Carly
Robin says that she doesn't feel sorry for Carly. Carly is a crisis
junkie. She is in Ferncliff because she put herself there. She is there
because she pretended to be insane, another lie, why can't Jason get that?
Jason says he gets it. Carly lies all the time. She always has some dumb
plan to get someone and it always blows up in her face. Robin asks if he
wants Michael raised like that. Jason says that Michael is ok. Robin says
that they aren't going to be. Carly is going to use Michael to control
Jason. Jason disagrees and says Carly knows there is a line she can't
cross. Robin says that somehow Carly gets him to cross lines noone else
can get him to cross. Letting everyone believe that Jason is Michael's
father is a perfect example. Michael ties Jason to Carly. Carly is a user,
completely selfish and incapable of thinking ahead. As Robin turns to
leave for class, Jason tells her that he knows that Robin doesn't want him
to see Carly but that he promised to stand by her and he is going to.
Mike is at the garage watching Michael as AJ arrives. Mike tells him that
Jason isn't there, but will be back after his visit to Carly. AJ is
surprised that Carly is being allowed visitors. Robin walks in relieves
Mike of his baby-sitting duties. After Mike leaves, AJ comments on how big
Michael is getting. He asks how Robin is doing and how things at the
cottage are going. He then asks about Carly coming home. Robin says that
it could be soon. AJ says that know one knows better than him that Carly
complicates things. He asks if they are all going to live together. Robin
laughs and says how long do you think the roof would stay on if that
happened. AJ says that it would all go up in smoke before midnight. Robin
asks who he thinks would be standing when the smoke clears. AJ says,
nothing personal, but almost nothing will stop Carly.
AJ apologizes to Robin and says that he didn't think Carly could still
push his buttons like that. It must have something to do with seeing how
far Jason has come since Robin returned from France. He knows that it was
her influence that got Jason to leave the life. It means a lot to AJ
because he knows if it wasn't for him, Jason never would have gotten
involved with organized crime in the first place. Anyway, he just came by
to thank Jason for the heads up on Alan, he was right. It's weird that
Jason can see the truth about Alan, but not about what Carly is doing. He
just doesn't want to see Carly steal another person's happiness,
especially hers or Jason's. Jason is still his brother even though he
doesn't feel that way. As he leaves, he apologizes to Robin for what Carly
has done to her and Jason.
Jason arrives at Fernwood for his visit with Carly. The doctor agrees to
leave them alone and whispers to Jason, "nothing conjugal" as he
goes. Jason gives the doctor a funny look, and then turns and says hello
to Carly who is overjoyed to see him. Carly mentions that Jason was about
to tell her something about Robin at their last visit when they were
interrupted by the doctor. She suggests they discuss it now before the
doctor interrupts again. Jason tells Carly about the new living
arrangements and she reacts just about how Robin predicted she would. She
angrily asks where in a "cottage" she is supposed to sleep, on
the lawn?
Carly continues her tirade asking how Jason can just yank Michael out of a
home that she created for him without consulting her first. Jason tells
her to calm down. Carly says not to tell her to calm down. What is she
supposed to do? Go live with Jason and Robin and tiptoe around little Miss
Perfect's rules? Jason again tells Carly to calm down. She yells don't
tell me calm down when someone else is out there trying to kidnap my baby.
She asks if Michael is calling Robin Mama? Jason tells Carly to listen to
him. Carly yells what else haven't you told me? Are you going to marry
her, what else? As Jason grabs her hands and tries to get her to calm
down, the doctor walks in the room and asks what is going on.
The doctor overhears the heated voices, Jason and Carly cover with the
doctor, when Jason comes up with a story saying he was showing Carly how
he makes Michael fly. The doc leaves but instructs them to have no further
emotional outbursts. Alone again, Carly tells Jason that his fairy tale
with Robin doesn't suit him. Jason promises that they'll all work
something out together once Carly is released. Later, Carly tells her
doctor that she knows how much Jason loves her that after all, he's
sacrificed so much for her. Jason stops by Mac's on his way home.
Mac reminds him it's Robin's birthday and asks if they can have a truce.
Jason agrees and heads to the cottage. At home, Robin asks about Jason's
visit with Carly. He tells her how Carly flipped out when she heard about
their living situation. When Robin asks how they got that passed the
doctor, Jason admits he made up a story to cover them. Robin is shocked,
and lets Jason know how upset she is that he constantly lies to protect
Carly. He promises her she'll never lose him. Jason tells her about his
conversation with Mac and gives her a book of fairy tales for her
birthday. Maybe we're fated to be together she says.
Jason starts to get the hint when Mike tells him that maybe Carly and
Robin won't think of life at the cottage like Disneyland! Mike points out
the problem of having Carly and Robin living in the same house. Mike
suggests that Carly might want Jason for herself, he is the father of her
baby, and they were living together up till Carly shot Tony. Robin meets
Jason at the Motorcycle shop and apologizes up and down about Carly.
Bobbie comes over to ask Jason if she can see Carly in his place and Jason
warning her that she's not the same person that she was.
Bobbie shows up to see Carly in Jason's place which makes Dr. Evans a bit
suspicious. He tells Bobbie that he only allows Jason to visit as a part
of a therapeutic tool and for him to send her in his place is very
distressing. Bobbie tells him that she is Carly's mother after all. Dr.
Evans says isn't it true the last time you came to visit, Carly didn't
even recognize you. Bobbie tells him that Carly's mind was playing tricks
on her that day. Dr. Evans then accuses Bobbie for being the cause of most
of Carly's problems. An appalled Bobbie defends herself and tells the
doctor whatever he may think of her, Carly is her daughter and she wants
to see her. Dr. Evans then tells Bobbie that Carly told him everything
about the day Bobbie found her in bed with Tony. Bobbie tells him no
matter what she and Carly have gone through in the past they are trying to
get past that now.
Still not convinced, he asks if she came to say "I love you".
Bobbie says no, anyone can say I love you, I am here to see my daughter
and to find out if she needs anything. Dr. Evans lets Bobbie visit with
Carly and is a little taken aback when Carly recognizes Bobbie. He then
tells Carly that if Bobbie's presence is upsetting her, then he can tell
Bobbie to leave. Carly tells him she's not upset at seeing Bobbie and
wants her to stay. Bobbie tells her that its good to see her and goes over
and gives her a hug. As they visit, Dr. Evans sits and monitors there
visit, but then eventually leaves them alone. Once they are alone, Carly
still keeps up her charade of being mentally unbalanced and Bobbie tells
her daughter that she can cut the crap, because Jason has told her
everything and she knows that Carly is faking her illness. A stunned Carly
can't believe that Jason told her everything. Bobbie gets upset at Carly
for getting herself into this mess and they end up arguing. Carly says
that she only did what she had to do. Bobbie says that she can't believe
that Carly got herself committed there for 6 months, especially when she
has Michael to consider. Carly says that everything that she has done is
for Michael.
Bobbie is baffled by Carly’s assertion that everything she has done has
been for Michael, even shooting Tony and faking insanity. Bobbie tells her
the real reason she is at Ferncliff is because she didn’t stop and
think, she reacted first, and thought about the consequences later. Carly
wonders if Bobbie came to see her just to yell at her. She discloses to
Bobbie how hard it is for her to be at Ferncliff, her every word is
constantly monitored. She admits that she’ll do whatever it takes to get
out, go home and be a mother to Michael while he is still a a baby. She
just wants her life back. She tells Bobbie that she won’t apologize for
shooting Tony, she was protecting Michael. Bobbie admits that she actually
missed her daughter, Carly is amazed. Bobbie tells Carly that she was
worried about her. Carly asks Bobbie if she knows why she always comes out
fighting, it’s because she had no one to look out for her and protect
her. She never learned how to trust, that is why she always strikes first,
and pushes people away, before anyone else can hurt her.
Carly tells Bobbie that at least she had Luke to look after her and
protect her - she was on her own. Virginia wasn’t much of a support
system, it was as if they spoke different languages. Now, Carly still has
trouble trusting others and depending on them to be there for her. She
asks Bobbie if what she said to her at Shadybrook was true, that she feels
about Carly the way Carly feels about Michael. Bobbie is uneasy. Carly
wants to know, was she trying to tell her that she loved her? She tells
Bobbie that in her group therapy sessions she is encouraged to ask for
what she wants, so she asks Bobbie, “Do you love me? And if you do, can
you say it to my face?” Bobbie tells her yes, she loves her, she is her
daughter. Carly admits that she has missed Bobbie a lot. Bobbie tells
Carly about her relationship with Jerry and about Jerry’s troubles as
well. She tells her how much Lucas adores Jerry and how Lucas went into a
diabetic coma after Jerry was arrested. She also fills Carly in on
Tony’s plan to fight for custody of Lucas. Then, Bobbie finally decides
to bring up the topic of Robin. Bobbie tries to prepare Carly for Robin
and Jason’s relationship and their new life at the cottage. Carly
believes that Jason would never give up Michael, not even for Robin, and
Bobbie agrees.
Robin shows up at the garage to find out if Jason is there, but runs into
Mike who is watching baby Michael. Mike starts talking about the
arrangement that Robin is going to have to deal with once Carly is
released from Ferncliff. Robin admits to Mike that she is worried that
Jason is vulnerable to Carly's manipulations because of his love for
Michael. Mike gives Robin some fatherly advice about dealing with the
situation involving Carly and Jason. Robin says that Carly is not the one
causing the crisis in their lives, it is her. Mike says that Jason knows
that Carly is coming home, and that Jason just wants them to all get
along. Robin agrees and says that Jason doesn't realize how vulnerable
Carly's return makes her feel. Mike tells her that she has more power than
she realizes, because Michael has bonded with her. Robin feels a little
better and Mike leaves. Robin goes into the other room and AJ arrives.
Robin returns to find AJ talking to Michael. AJ tells her pointedly that
Michael is still there and that he is not going to steal him. He says that
he is there to tell her that if she needs him as a friend, he is there for
her. Robin tells AJ that she doesn't thing he will steal Michael and the
two of them also end up discussing Carly. AJ wondered how Carly could get
away with always getting people to forgive her actions. Robin doesn't
comment much on it because she receives a call telling her that there is
the potential for flash flooding in the area around the cottage. Robin
then tried to find someone to watch Michael while she went to check on the
cottage. A.J. offers to baby-sit Michael and promises not to move a muscle
from the garage. After much hesitation, Robin agreed and left Michael and
AJ at the garage together.
Later, Robin is trying to reach AJ, to tell him she is on her way back to
the garage, but the phones are jammed and she can’t get through. She
decides to head for the bike shop, hoping AJ won’t do anything stupid
with Michael. Robin comes back inside and calls Felicia to tell her that
her car has stalled and their road is flooded. She asks Felicia to come
get her and take her to the bike shop. Felicia arrives, but with bad news.
The bridge is flooded and there is a flash flood warning in effect so they
aren’t going anywhere. Robin is beside herself, she has to get back to
the garage before Jason gets back. Felicia realizes there is something
else going on and questions Robin. Robin admits to Felicia that they have
been having a disagreement over whether the Qs should have contact with
Michael or not. Robin tells Felicia that she thinks they should, but that
Jason is adamantly against it. Robin tells Felicia that she left Michael
with AJ.
Felicia thinks that Jason will understand Robin’s actions, but Robin is
afraid that Jason will never forgive her for this. Felicia thinks Jason
will be reasonable, but Robin admits that he would sooner let their house
float away in the storm, than leave Michael with AJ. She blames Jason's
weariness of the Qs on Carly that she is paranoid that everyone is out to
get her and she needs Jason’s protection, which he is willing to give
her. Robin is afraid that Carly will convince him that she doesn’t care
about Michael, that is why she left him with AJ. She fears she has played
right into Carly’s hands. Felicia is optimistic about Jason eventually
forgiving Robin, because she had Michael’s best interests in mind. But
Robin knows that betrayal is a crime in Jason’s eyes. Robin tells
Felicia that she isn't afraid of Jason, she's afraid of losing him. When
they first got together, he had no past and she had no future. They were
honest with each other and there were no expectations. Now, the honesty
has become an expectation of it's own. Jason has never betrayed her and
now she's betrayed him twice. The first time was when she asked Sonny to
fire him and now she's left Michael with AJ. The first betrayal broke them
up and she's afraid this will too.
AJ is trying to entertain Michael offering him food and toys to get him to
stop crying. AJ finds a toy that Michael likes, a horn, and proceeds to
toot it, which Michael enjoys immensely and which is also very funny! AJ
is trying to feed Michael [but he seems to be eating most of the baby
food]. He tells Michael that if his daddy thought that he liked AJ, then
Jason would give permission for him to visit more. Then AJ realizes it’s
time for a a diaper change! AJ tells Michael that he sees the
Quartermaine, as well as the Spencer, temperament in him, but he
also can see some of his dad in him that is the way Jason used to be. AJ
tries to call Robin again and wonders what is taking her so long. AJ
keeps trying to entertain Michael and comfort him during the thunder and
lightning, the yellow ducky seems to do the trick. AJ tells Michael
what great friends they will be, just as Jason walks in and he can’t
believe his eyes. Jason demands that AJ hand Michael to him. AJ points out
that Jason is soaked, but reluctantly hands Michael over to him. AJ
explains that Michael is fine and the whole reason why he's with him in
the first place. Jason is stunned that Robin left Michael with AJ.
Jason wants AJ to leave, but AJ is afraid that he'd be leaving Robin alone
to face an ambush. He tells Jason that a thank you wouldn't be out of
order, since Robin had no choice. He tells Jason that he's not leaving
without a fight and Jason has no choice but to listen to him. Jason tells
him to say what he wants and get out. AJ accuses Jason of being as
paranoid as Carly. Jason counters that she has reason to be paranoid and
that he promised her that he wouldn't let the Qs near Michael. AJ asks
what about Michael, will he forbid him from seeing the Qs? The Qs tried to
run Jason's life once and for much better reasons, and look how he feels
about them. How long before Michael hates Jason as much as Jason hates the
Qs? When Michael starts to cry, AJ goes towards him, but Jason blocks
him. Jason wants to know why AJ was at the garage in the first place. AJ
explains that he just wants to see Jason, but Jason doesn't trust him. He
doesn't think that AJ would try to kidnap Michael, he's smart enough to
look for another way to get him. He thinks that the Qs each want Michael
for their own reason - a trophy, Edward wants a future CEO and Alan wants
a new 'Golden Boy'. When AJ asks what he wants Michael for, Jason guesses
that it would be a good way to impress Edward. AJ says that maybe he wants
Michael to replace the brother he lost. Jason takes Michael out in to the
storm even though AJ tries to talk him out of it.
Robin tells Felicia the phone lines are still down and asks if she thinks
they'll be able to get to the garage soon. Felicia thinks they should wait
so they don't get stuck. Robin's worried about Michael but Felicia assures
her he's in good hands with AJ. Felicia thinks she should worry about
herself. She's risked a lot to be with Jason, disapproval from Mac, giving
up Yale, almost losing her life and now she's worried that she'll lose him
over a babysitting arrangement. Robin defends Jason saying that he just
has a problem with betrayal. Felicia counters that Jason betrayed her, or
Michael never would have been conceived. Robin says she understands what
happened. Felicia is sure that Robin made the best choice. Robin says that
nobody has the power to hurt Jason the way she does, and now she has.
Robin shows Felicia the book of fairy tales Jason bought for her birthday.
Even though Jason doesn't believe in them, he gave them to her anyway,
because he's more than willing to meet her halfway. Robin explains that
he's that way about everything but letting Michael near the Quartermaines.
Felicia asks if that's something she believes in too or just goes along
with to avoid an argument.
Robin comes down with a suitcase in case the storm forces them to stay at
the PC Hotel. Felicia offers for them to stay at the Scorpio's if they
want. Robin thinks that the only thing worse than fighting with Jason
would be doing it in front of Mac. She thanks Felicia for her help.
Robin and Felicia enter the empty garage calling out for AJ. Robin panics
and is sure that AJ has taken Michael to the Qs. She doesn't know how
she'll tell Jason. Robin regrets her decision to leave Michael with AJ.
She thought he would be safe. Felicia points out that he is safe, just
under the wrong roof. They are discussing how to retrieve him when Jason
arrives looking furious. Robin starts to explain that AJ has Michael and
the events that lead up to AJ and Michael being alone together. Jason lets
her finish and then tells her that Michael is next door with Mike.
Robin is relieved that Michael is fine. She tells Jason that the phone
lines were down, she tried to call. Felicia asks Jason if AJ was at the
garage with Michael when he arrived. Jason replies that he was. Felicia is
glad and says that Robin made the right decision. She goes on in Robin's
defense, but Robin stops her and thanks her for all of her help. As she
goes, Felicia comments that apparently the only one in real danger
today was Robin. After Felicia leaves, Robin tries again to explain her
actions to Jason who remains ominously silent. Robin asks what she was
supposed to do and pleads with Jason to say something. Jason asks Robin if
she left Michael with AJ on purpose. Robin again tries to explain her
actions, but Jason interrupts and tells her to stop lying to him. Robin is
surprised that Jason thinks she is lying. Jason replies that he was
thinking a lot of things. He thought she must be hurt, because that was
the only reason she would leave Michael with AJ. Then he wanted to break
AJ's ribs when he told him that Robin went to check on the cottage. Jason
says that Robin broke her promise to never let AJ near Michael again.
Robin defends herself saying that she was only thinking Michael and that
AJ promised not to leave. Jason explodes saying that Robin broke her
promise to him and he demands to know why. Robin says because AJ is
Michael's father.
Robin points out that she promised not to tell AJ that he is Michael's
biological father, but she still thinks that AJ deserves a chance to get
to know his son. Jason angrily replies that getting drunk and sleeping
with Carly doesn't give AJ the right to raise Michael. Robin says he
deserves the chance to be a loving presence in Michael's life. To not give
it to him would be to cheat him and to lie to him and to take away a part
of his life and that's not fair. Jason asks why she panicked when she
walked in if she really trusts AJ so much. Robin says that she wasn't
worried about AJ's conduct with Michael, but about Jason's reaction. She
was scared to death of what Jason might do or think. The only thing she
did today was let AJ prove himself. Jason says that he will never leave
her alone with Michael again because they don't think the same way about
this. She shouldn't have used Michael to show him how she feels. He will
never let anyone use Michael again. Robin calls a cab to take her to
her car. As she prepares to leave, Jason tells her that he loves her, but
he is too angry to be with her so he is going to stay with Mike. Robin
says that he is right, they both have a lot of thinking to do. Robin
walks out with a backward glance at Jason. Jason remains with his back to
her, but looks very upset.
Robin is sitting alone in the cottage, looking sad. Jax comes by to see
how they survived the rain. They talk about the furniture. Brenda had
great taste. It turns out that Brenda only bought seven couches
before settling on that one. He thinks "furniture stores all
over town had her picture on the bulletin board. 'Fear this woman!'"
She wanted a garden, too, as she'd never had one before. She went to
the library and read up on gardening, and bought all the tools and stuff
and put the whole thing in herself. He gets all maudlin.
Jason and Michael are at the shop. Mike comes in and asks if Jason has
called Robin yet. They talk about Robin leaving Michael with AJ again.
Mike tries to explain Robin's reasons. Jason is still angry. Mike points
out that him being upset and Robin being upset is not good for their
little boy."You've got a situation here that's that close to
spinning out of control and you're not helping it one bit."
Mike says Jason is not the problem but has to be the problem solver. Robin
and Carly are waiting for him to make a decision, and he isn't making one.
Carly is a loose cannon. Bobbie comes in. She came in to see Jason.
She wants to tell him about the visit with Carly. They talk about pompous
Evans the jerk. She wants to know what will happen when Carly comes
home.
Jason tells Bobbie that can't talk to Robin because they'll fight again.
Bobbie warns him that if Carly doesn't think Jason is looking out for her,
she'll come up with a plan of her own, and that will be trouble for
everyone. Jason asks if Carly had said she was working on a plan of
her own. Bobbie reminds him of how vicious Carly can be if she's
crossed. Bobbie suggests joint custody. "If you don't (work out
an arrangement with Carly) you know as well as I do that we will all be
paying the price for years." Bobbie leaves. Mike comes back to
see Jason and Michael. He plans to make a special red snapper
dinner. Jason has decided to come up with a plan now Carly's
released. Jason tells Michael "Carly's going to hate whatever I
decide, and I will too, probably, but you're going to be okay."
Jax and Robin continue to talk about Brenda. The rain reminded him
of their trip to New Orleans. He finds out about Jason and Robin's
fight. He tells Robin not to waste time fixing it. They hug
and Jax leaves. Robin puts her coat on and leaves as well. Felicia
sits down to write, but the doorbell rings. It's Robin. She doesn't
think Jason will ever forgive her. They go over the fight again.
Robin doesn't know what to do. She and Felicia hug. Robin decides to
go back to the cottage and decide what kind of arrangement she can live
with. She doesn't want to make any more promises she can't keep.
"We've come too far to give up." Mac comes down. He
invites Robin to stay for dinner.
Jason goes to visit Carly and after he found out that Bobbie's visit went
well, he suggests that Carly move in with Bobbie when released. Carly one
again gets mad and loses her cool, and Dr. Evans walks in. They assure him
that everything is okay, and he mentions that AJ came to visit. Jason and
Carly talking about making plans for the future, specifically, how Carly
is going to fit in, what with Robin and Jason living together and all.
Jason has just suggested that Carly might want to get to know her mother a
little better by moving in with her after she is released from the
hospital. Predictably, Carly is unhappy with this idea, and just as she is
telling Jason where to go, her shrink comes in to tell her that visiting
hours are over. The doctor also happens to mention that AJ came by earlier
and would like to visit her. Jason, who hasn't yet told Carly about Robin
leaving Michael alone with AJ, looks a little stunned by this news.
Although the doctor tells Carly that it is up to her whether or not she
wants to see AJ, she tells him that Jason is the only one she wants to
see.
The Quatermaines are gathered for lunch at the Grille discussing business
when Jason charges in and yanks AJ out of his chair, and pins him against
the buffet table. Apparently, he's a little upset that AJ won't stay away
from Carly and Michael. Robin, who has just joined Mac and Felicia for
lunch, jumps in and gets Jason to back off, but not before he's made his
point with AJ. Jason storms off and the Q's immediately start
brainstorming about how to use this incident to prove that Jason is an
unfit parent. They bicker some more and Robin realizes that AJ used her to
get to Michael.
Back at the bike shop, Jason is talking to Michael about Carly and warns
him about the Q's. Robin stops by and he thanks her for intervening with
the Q's earlier. Robin tells him that what happened at the Grille was
partly her fault for leaving Michael alone with AJ. She also apologized
for throwing hiss real paternity in Jason's face as in her heart she knows
that Jason is Michael's real father. Robin goes on to say that Jason is
right about the Quartermaines and that she will never again go behind his
back. Jason decides to move back to the cottage.
DVD #11B Jason and Robin are eating with Michael at Kelly's when
AJ stops by. Immediately Jason is on the alert. AJ tells him that he's
going to Ferncliff instead of Jason this week and Jason tells him
basically to play it cool with Ms. Roberts, or else. Robin fumes; saying
that Carly is already starting to manipulate him. Jason has arrived
home, to find Michael dressed as a pumpkin. He calls out for Robin, who
comes down dressed as a fairy princess. She reminds him its Halloween, but
he doesn't understand. Robin explains to Jason that today is Halloween and
she thought it would be nice if they dressed up. Jason says that he
thought they were staying in tonight. Robin tells him that they are, but
that she expects to have visitors and trick-or-treaters. Jason still
doesn't get why Michael is all dressed up and Robin explains to a
skeptical Jason why Michael needs to get a dose of make-believe every now
and then. The Scorpios arrive in costume to celebrate Maxie's
Halloween birthday party and Jason stares at Mac's Zorro outfit in
unabashed dismay. After they all celebrate Halloween and the Scorpio's
leave, Jason and Robin are talking about Halloween and he tells her he
doesn't understand the point of dressing up to scare little kids. She
explains the tradition to him and Jason admits that Michael had fun and so
did he. He then leans in for a kiss and just as they are about to kiss,
there is a knock at the door, more trick-or-treaters.
A.J. comes to visit Carly's and the doctor is concerned about him visiting
Carly. He tells A.J. not to upset her. A.J. tells him if she becomes
agitated at any time, he will leave. He then goes in to see Carly who is
in her calm, cool and collected mode. They make small talk in front of the
doctor and then Carly dismisses the doctor so she and A.J. can talk alone.
A.J. asks her what changed her mind to let him visit. Carly asks if its OK
for her to change her mind about seeing him. A.J. asks her how much has
Jason told her. She calmly tells him about the cottage, Robin, etc. He is
surprised that Jason has been so honest with her, and how well she has
taken the news. She tells him that things have a way of working out for
the best. She then says that it won't be too much longer. A.J. tells her
that Jason hasn't told her everything. A.J. then tells Carly that Jason's
ability to influence her release has been greatly diminished when he left
the organization. He then says that Jason walked away from his power, he
is just a bike mechanic, He can no longer influence judges. Carly just
listens and A.J. tells her that he wants to help get her out and back with
her son, but if she wants him to stay out, he will. She tells him that big
favors don't come cheap and asks him what does he want in return and how
would she repay him? A.J. asks her what could she tell him that would help
him to speed up the process of getting her out. Carly tells him that there
is something and A.J. then suggested that the Quartermaines might be able
to help Carly.
Carly tells AJ that he and the Quartermaine's are the reason she's stuck
in Fern Cliff. Jason will take care of me and Michael, she says. AJ
questions Jason's capabilities now that he's out of the organization. He
offers to pull some strings for her. She tells him that she's learned from
her past mistakes. I get you, AJ, Carly says. The way you take things is
by stealing what doesn't belong to you, Jason is the one I'll call. AJ
suggests she do just that. In fact, AJ says, I'm going to work with Jason
on getting you released. Carly freaks and tells him not to say anything to
Jason. I don't want him to think I told you to do that, she says. Dr.
Evans interrupts them and cuts off the visit after seeing how upset Carly
is. AJ leaves and Carly realizes what she's done. She tries to call Jason,
but Dr. Evans returns and reprimands her behavior. The doctor leaves and
Carly paces. Meanwhile back at the cottage, Jason tries to rationalize
Carly's behavior to Robin. When she suggests that he call Carly, he tells
her he won't because it is exactly what Carly wants him to do. He tells
her that he won't be pulled into any of Carly's schemes to use him. They
cuddle for a while and give candy to trick-or-treaters. AJ shows up at the
door.
Jason tells AJ to leave but he comes in anyway. AJ wants to tell Jason
what Carly said. He insists on talking about the whole situation. Jason
asks Robin to take Michael to Bobbie's house. She objects to leaving
"in the middle of the night" and doesn't want him to fight with
AJ. Jason asks her again so she goes to change out of her fairy princess
costume so she can take Michael. AJ apologizes to her but she thinks AJ is
just trying to cause Jason to act like this so he can use it against him.
She leaves with Michael. AJ makes fun of Jason in a sarcastic way for what
he did. He tries to goad Jason into hitting him. Jason just looks at him
in that stoic way of his, then he smirks, saying that AJ just wants him to
hit him so he can call the cops. He starts tearing into AJ about his
family. AJ tells Jason that the Quartermaines are the best way for Carly
to get out, but Jason knows they just want Michael. He reminds AJ that he
used to claim that Jason did all sorts of awful things when he was in the
mob, but he never tried to use "a baby" or terrorize "a
woman locked up in an institution". AJ refuses to back down. He
accuses Jason of using Michael because he's the only one who will love
him. AJ observes that Jason is just like the other Quartermaines,
"domineering and manipulative". Jason states that he's promised
Michael that the Q's will never take him. AJ stomps out.
Robin and Michael arrive at Bobbie's. Robin apologizes for barging in on
Bobbie and explains why. Bobbie can't believe Carly's talent for
self-destruction. Robin starts to make a comment about Carly but stops
herself for Bobbie's sake. Bobbie wonders why AJ is interested in Carly
and Michael. Jason comes by to tell Robin and Michael they can come home.
He and Robin hug. Jason tells them that he and AJ didn't hit each other.
Bobbie hopes he's "not too angry with" Carly. He isn't because
he understands her. He picks up Michael and talks to him. Jason tells them
that he has a way to deal with AJ, by talking to Carly about it.
Bobbie arrives at the garage to talk to Jason. She tells Jason that she
has watched him with Michael since the day he was born. He is very careful
with him. Some people might even say he is over protective. She just knows
that he would never set him out in the middle of the night unless he felt
that Michael was in some kind of danger or about to overhear something he
shouldn't. Jason says that he doesn't want Michael when he and AJ are
fighting. Bobbie says she understands, but she thinks he is not only mad
at AJ, but mad at Carly. Jason says that he isn't angry at Carly. Bobbie
is surprised that Jason is not upset that Carly wanted to see AJ. Jason
says that he knew as soon as AJ asked to visit, that Carly would see
him. Carly is going to use whoever she can to get out of Ferncliff. This
is her way of threatening Jason. She is saying get me out of here or I'll
go to the Quartermaines, but he knows she won't because she knows that the
only way the Q's will help her is if they get custody of Michael. She is
doing what she always does, you just have to know how to stop her.
Bobbie asks Jason to explain to her how Carly thinks, because he is the
only person on earth who seems to understand. Jason says that Carly thinks
about herself and she wants what she wants. There's nothing wrong with
that except that she does a lot of damage to get what she's after. That's
what happened with Dr. Jones. He always treated her like a jerk, and Carly
knew it, but it was important to her to be in love with Dr. Jones. Bobbie
asks when Carly told Jason about her. Jason says when Carly left Tony and
came to him. Bobbie says that she came to ask Jason to be patient with
Carly, but instead Jason is explaining her daughter to her. She wishes
that she could accept Carly the way Jason does. Jason tells Bobbie that
Carly loves her. When he visited her at Ferncliff, Carly told him that
Bobbie told her she loved her and she is starting to believe it. Bobbie
says that that is progress. Jason agree, especially since when Bobbie
found out Carly was her daughter she said that she would never see
Carly or Michael again. Jason says that he never acts without thinking. He
is going to get Carly released and back to Michael. Bobbie says that
Carly is lucky to have Jason and she might even realize it. Jason says he
will let Bobbie know how his visit goes.
Emily goes to the garage to talk to Jason. She asks him to please listen
without getting mad. She tells him all about the blackmail and how she,
Nikolas, Lucky and Liz tracked down the man responsible. She then tells
him that the blackmailer turned out to be Tom Baker, a photographer that
she had worked with. She thought he was a nice guy, but it turns out that
he is crazy. She tells Jason that Tom raped Liz in the park on Valentine's
day. Jason asks if Tom hurt her. Emily says no, he just threw her in the
darkroom. Liz is the one that Tom hurt. She explains how they caught him
and that he is now in jail. She tells Jason that she wanted him to hear it
from her first and she just wanted to make sure that Jason wasn't going to
kill Tom.
Jax thanks Robin for visiting him, she was just who he needed to be with.
Before she arrived, he was just remembering his and Brenda's second
wedding, the whole bizarre day. They were so in love, so eager to get
married. He had loved Brenda all along, but loving him was a whole new
thought to Brenda. She came to him right before the wedding and told him
that she was crazy in old fashioned love with him. It was the best, the
happiest moment of his life. Until Sonny showed up with Miranda and
set them back a year and a half. Robin reminds him that he and Brenda did
have that time in the end and that is what matters. What they had, not
what they lost. Robin hopes that even though Brenda is gone, she hopes
that he can find something to believe in and to be excited about. Jax says
that he is working on it in a way that he thinks Brenda would appreciate.
Robin says that she too, is trying to honor Brenda's life by going on with
hers. Jax asks if he should be expecting a wedding invitation soon. Robin
says things are kind of crazy right now. Jax correctly guesses that the
something crazy is Carly. Robin says that she and Jason have to get Carly
out of Ferncliff and settled somewhere before they can even think about
getting married.
Jason asks Emily if the blackmail was why she came to the penthouse that
day. Emily says that she was going to ask him for help, but she knew that
he would hurt whoever was doing it and she didn't want him to get into
trouble. Jason points out that his job used to be taking care of things
and not getting into trouble. Emily says that she didn't want him to do
anything bad for her, she still doesn't. If anything happens to Tom, the
police will know that Jason was responsible. Then Jason would get arrested
and the Q's would use that as an excuse to try and take Michael. Tom has
already been caught, he is going to prison. If Jason does anything now, it
will be her fault. If he really wants to do something for her, just
promise to stay out of it. Jason agrees, if that is what she really
wants. Emily asks Jason to please not say anything about Liz, because she
doesn't want the news of her rape to get out. Jason says no problem.
He tells Emily to come to him next time. He asks if the Q's know.
She says yes and that they told her she can't model anymore. Jason asks
why. She says she doesn't know. Maybe she will just keep modeling behind
their backs. They never look at magazine out. Jason asks why she just
doesn't tell Edward to her face. Emily says that since she is a minor and
Edward would probably try to sue her or something. While their talking,
Jason gets a phone call and has to rush off. Before he goes, he tells
Emily that he can maybe help her with the modeling thing if Ned won't.
Emily thanks him as he goes to take care of his business.
Robin goes to see Jason at the garage and he tells her about Emily's
blackmail. Robin says she heard already from Nikolas when he called her to
invite her to his birthday party tomorrow night. She jokingly asks if
Jason will be jealous if she goes to Nikolas' party alone. Jason says that
he would rather be interrogated than go to a party at Wyndemere, and
besides he has to go visit Carly tomorrow night. Robin says she knows, but
this afternoon, he is all hers. Jason says that he is always hers and they
kiss.
Robin is waiting for the launch to take her to Spoon Island to attend
Nik's birthday party with Lucky, Nik, Emily, Liz, Lulu, Alexis, Laura,
Stefan, Kat and even Helena! Robin worries that Jason is not "okay
with" her going there. His mind is elsewhere, however; he's on
his way to Ferncliff to straighten things out with Carly. Robin and Nik
are seated on either side of Lulu on the couch. Robin tells Nik that his
little sister looked like both her brothers. The women are talking to Lulu
about her pretty dress. Stefan gives a very touching toast about Nikolas'
ascent into manhood. When he is finished the guests tease Nikolas asking
for a speech. Nikolas jokingly says, in the words of another well known
royal, let them eat cake. The guests laugh and do just that.
Jason has arrived at Ferncliff. He's in the visiting room with the
doctor and Carly. As the doc prattles on about how important the AJ
visit was in showing him that Carly could handle the larger world, Jason
and Carly's eyes are fixed on one another. jason is a mask to the
doctor, but Carly knows he's seething inside. carly smiles and talks
to the doctor, but Jason knows she is a nervous wreck inside. The
doctor leaves them alone, and Carly's first words are, "How mad at me
are you?" "How mad did you want me to be?"
Carly tries to defend her decision to see AJ. Jason is furious, and lets
her know that she gave AJ hope that he could use her to deliver Michael to
the Qs, and that allowing him to visit showed AJ that she doesn't trust
Jason. Carly counters that she made it clear to AJ that she has
complete confidence in Jason. Then she goes on to make it equally
clear to Jason that she really doesn't, because he gave up his mob
position and power and she doesn't see how a mechanic can have the clout
to get her out of Ferncilff. She rants about being stuck in the
institution forever because Jason didn't wait until she was free to make
his life change. She vents at length, "Be patient, Carly. I'm
so tired of that." She can't take it any more. Finally,
we get the payoff. "Tell me I'm wrong," she pleads, "tell
me I'm not a complete sucker." So he does, pulling out the
court order signed by a judge that will free her. She is stunned.
"Am I really going to get out?" "Yep, all you need is this
mechanic's signature," he tells her, dripping sarcasm. Carly is very
apologetic once she realizes that her release is literally in Jason's
hands. She is ecstatic when she realizes that all Jason has to do is
sign it, unfortunately, she can't find a pen. Jason pulls one out of his
pocket and stares at her.
As Jason continues to taunt Carly by holding the pen in front of her, she
asks him why he is doing this. He explains that he won't until he makes a
few things clear. He knows that Carly and Robin aren't going to like each
other any more than they ever did, but that is not Michael's problem. He
tells her that she will live with him and Robin until Michael gets used to
her again, but after that, she has to find her own place, not far away
from the cottage. They will share custody of Michael. He has thought about
it, and he can't think of a better way. Carly tries to tell Jason that she
doesn't think it was fair to him that he would only get to see Michael
part of the time. Upon hearing this, Jason picks up the release papers and
puts them back in the envelope without signing them. Carly says that she
is not trying to cause problems, but is he sure that this is the best
solution.
Jason accuses her of using Michael to try and manipulate him. She denies
it, but Jason refuses to listen. Carly asks who has been coaching him. He
tells her that no one tells him what to say. Carly accuses Jason of being
a better manipulator than her because he is holding her release papers
hostage until she agrees to his demands. Carly tells Jason that she
understands. She will be living with him for a little while and then they
will be sharing Michael. Jason says that he always tells Michael that he
has a great Mom who will do anything for him. He promised Michael that
Carly would be home. Carly apologizes to Jason and gives him a hug. Dr.
Evans arrives and says that he wants to discuss some changes in next weeks
visiting schedule. Carly says that they want to discuss that as well.
Jason signs the release and hands it to the doctor. Dr. Evans says that
there is no way that Carly is going anywhere. Jason tells the Doctor that
he has no choice. He has had it with his fat face and his grand attitude.
These orders come from way over his head and there is nothing he can do
about it.
Bobbie stops by for a visit to tuck Michael in and to find out how things
went with Carly. Jason tells her how Carly is going to be released this
Friday and explains the "living arrangements." Carly will stay
with them for a while so that Michael will get used to her again and then
Jason will buy her a house close by and they will share custody of the
baby. Half a week with Carly; half a week with him and Robin. Bobbie is
very supportive of Jason and his decision. Just then Robin comes home from
Nicholas' party and Bobbie immediately tells Robin "the good
news." Carly's coming home! Robin's not too excited. After Bobbie
leaves Robin rips into Jason about not telling her that he knew last night
and didn't tell her. Robin tells Jason that she doesn't want Carly staying
with them. She finally backs down once Jason explains that Carly won't
stay with them very long and then she'll be out on her own and they will
still have Michael part of the time. Jason admits that he's happy that
Carly is getting released but it's only for Michael's sake; he hates what
all this is going to do to their life. Later, Michael wakes up and Jason
tells him that Mommy is coming home and tries to explain to Michael that
he will always love him and be there for him, whether he is with Jason or
with Carly.
At the cottage, Robin greets Bobbie. Bobbie asks Robin if she's ready for
Carly. Meanwhile, at Ferncliff, Dr. Evans is doing his best to delay
Carly's release. He wants to talk directly to the judge, and leaves to
phone him. Carly panics when he leaves, thinking she may not be released
after all. Jason assures her that it's a done deal, but Carly is
inconsolable, "If that pompous jerk somehow gets in the way of my
getting out of here, I'm going to lose my mind!" Dr. Evans
returns and says that the judge convinced him to let her go... Outside,
Carly waxes rhapsodic about feeling the wind on her face again, as Jason
and she prepare to leave on his motorcycle. "Don't ever let me forget
what you did for me today," says Carly. Back at the cottage, Robin
fusses over Michael's outfit, wanting everything to be perfect.
Bobbie says that she has to leave, and asks Robin to tell Carly that she
waited as long as she could. Bobbie then tentatively suggests that, since
she'll be unable to stay, Robin might want to leave Michael with Leticia
and leave the house for a while, to avoid any awkward moment between her
and Carly. Robin replies that she lives there and "Carly needs to
accept that".
Arriving at the cottage, Carly is giddy and nervous, asking Jason
"how's my hair?" Jason says she looks fine and then asks
her how his hair looks. "Don't make fun of me,"
Carly chides, and then enters the cottage to see Leticia with Michael.
"He's so big," Carly says, and just looks at him for a moment
before picking him up. Later, we see Jason and Carly on the couch,
preparing to read Michael his bedtime story, while Robin looks on at the
happy threesome, unnoticed. Carly is holding Michael and getting to know
him again when Robin enters with her game face on and asks Jason how
their trip was. Oblivious to the fact that the tension is so thick it can
be cut with a knife, Jason tells her about the dickens of a time they had
getting Carly sprung from the clutches of the shrink from hell. Carly
thanks Robin for being there for Michael while she was gone and Robin
gives her the homecoming present that Bobbie had left for her. Carly,
Robin and Jason are looking at a photo album filled with pictures of
Michael. Robin had made an effort to take a picture of Michael each day
for Carly and is obviously annoyed when Carly makes fun of some of the
pictures. Carly especially hates the pictures of Michael in his Halloween
Pumpkin costume, saying he looked fat, but shuts up when Jason says that's
his favorite.
The next morning, Jason's feeding Michael while Robin's on the phone with
the babysitter. Apparently Leticia's mother is sick and can't keep Michael
today. Jason says that okay he'll just take Michael with him. Robin
doesn't understand why he can't leave him with Carly. Isn't that the whole
idea? Carly and Michael getting reacquainted. Not that Carly is doing
much; she's still in bed. Carly walks in and announces that oh, she over
slept. Hope nobody holds that against her. Its been so long since she's
slept in a decent bed and she didn't think it would matter since Jason
knows that she likes to sleep in. Robin leaves and Jason and Carly goo-goo
over Michael. Bobbie drops in. She gives Carly a "coming home"
present; a locket with Michael's picture in it. Jason walks in with
Michael all ready to go to work. Carly protests saying that they should
spend the day together, but Jason is adamant about going to work. Carly
relents, admitting that he can't leave the baby with her because he
doesn't know her yet and she doesn't know how to handle him if he starts
crying.
Jason offers to bring Carly with them to the garage but Carly declines.
Bobbie offers to drop Carly off after their visit. After Jason leaves,
Carly bashes Robin calling her an angel of purity and princess and saying
that she doesn't belong in this pure white cottage and neither does
Michael and Jason. Bobbie defends the surrounding; trying to sell Carly
the house. Carly continues to bash Robin and Bobbie tells her that Robin
is not manipulative. Carly asks Bobbie if she is going to take Robin's
side when Robin has everyone on her side and she has no one. Bobbie tells
her to be grateful for what she is being given there. Carly decides they
should get out and go shopping. When Bobbie asked her if she needs any
money, Carly looks in a jar on the desk and takes some money out.
Carly shows up at the garage loaded with presents. Tells Michael that she
loves to buy presents and Michael will always get the best of everything,
so long as Daddy's money holds out. Jason assures her that there is plenty
of money. She then starts knocking the place with Jason works and tells
him he doesn't belong in this kind of place any more than she does.
Michael starts to cry and Carly looks a little panicked. Jason changes his
diaper and reassures Carly about getting used to Michael and taking care
of him. Carly starts in again about the garage and Jason finally sets her
straight. He tells her about the car bomb that almost killed Robin and did
kill the driver. The next bomb could kill Michael. He got out of the
business because he didn't want to see the people he loves killed. He
again tells her that there is plenty of money so she doesn't have to worry
about that. Carly argues that its not just the money, she knows Jason and
she knows that he loved that job and he was damn good at. He belongs in
the organization. He doesn't belong in this garage. He's better than that.
This garage thing must have been Robin's idea just like the cottage. Carly
gets all snotty and uppity and tells Jason that she is going to start
changing things. If there's money, she's going to start spending it, like
redecorating Michael's nursery. The way it is now, it's not appropriate
for a child.
Robin drops in on Felicia on Courtland St. to dump on Felicia about Carly.
She has no one to talk to; Jason defends Carly no matter what she does.
Robin tells Felicia that she see right through Carly's little game of
being nice. She's going to try to kill her with kindness until she loses
it and looks bad in front of Jason. Felicia totally agrees with Robin.
Carly will do anything to further her own cause. Felicia tells Robin she
can beat Carly at her own game. Feign indifference when Carly tries to
push her buttons. That will drive Carly up the wall. Drive her out. Robin
thinks it might work and she actually feels better after talking with
Felicia. Bobbie and Robin show up at the cottage together. Bobbie forgot
her scarf. They have a little talk about Carly and Bobbie thanks Robin for
putting up with Carly. She realizes that it will be a huge strain on Robin
and gives her a hug.
Robin came home to find Carly surrounded by new purchases. Robin asked
where Michael was and Carly said that she thought he was upstairs with
Letticia. Robin expressed her wonderment that Carly wasn't upstairs
spending time with him rather than out shopping. AJ showed up and Robin
asked him to leave because Michael was in the house. She said to AJ that
she knew he didn't need her to explain why. Carly got angry saying that
she was entitled to have guests. AJ (who seemed thrilled by all the
dissension) said that he would leave. Carly protested more and then walked
AJ out and complained to him. AJ mentioned that it was his birthday. Back
inside Carly yelled at Robin saying that Robin was making it obvious to AJ
that Michael is his son (Robin wasn't). While they were trading insults
Jason showed up. Letticia came downstairs with Michael. Apparently Michael
had started to cry earlier. Carly was upset that Letticia didn't call her
when Michael started to cry. Letticia said she didn't know what to do
because AJ was there. Letticia left with Michael for the park. Jason asked
what happened and Robin and Carly explained. Carly greatly embellished her
description of Robin's conversation with AJ. Robin said Carly lied,
basically forcing Jason to side with one woman or the other. Jason yelled
at the two of them saying that they have to all get along. Did they
understand? Robin said, "I think I do." And she left.
Robin decides to leave town for a bit and go to Italy as living with Carly
isn't working. Robin and Jason are at the airport saying goodbye as Robin
prepares to leave. Robins tells Jason that he doesn't have to wait for
her, she'll be fine. Jason says that if she were fine, she wouldn't be
leaving. He has done everything just the way she wanted, at least the way
she said she could live with it. He doesn't understand why she is running
away without even a discussion. Instead of answering his question, Robin
tells him that he should get home before Michael needs something Carly
can't buy. Jason asks why they can't get into it. Robin says that she
doesn't want to fight. Jason tells her that he isn't fighting, he just
wants to know if she is coming back.
Robin is explaining to Jason that she thought she could handle Carly's
return. She thought that she would be able to be supportive during this
transition period, but she is so angry all the time. She doesn't like the
person she is becoming. She doesn't want to stoop to Carly's level, but
she doesn't want to tiptoe around her own house either. This trip will
give Carly a chance to reconnect with Michael and when the trip is over,
Carly will be out of their house. Then things will get better with her and
Jason. She tells Jason that she will call him when she gets to Rome and
she asks him to tell Michael goodbye, she loves him and she is coming
back. Robin starts to walk down the jetway, but stops and runs back to
give Jason a hug. She tells him that she loves him and will miss him every
second. Jason tells her to just come back. They kiss one last time and
Jason watches her board the plane.
Carly is home alone with Michael who is supposed to be napping. She is
admiring more purchases from her shopping trip when she hears Michael on
the baby monitor. At first she just listens and hopes he goes back to
sleep, but when he starts crying, she goes upstairs to check on him.
Jason arrives home to Carly chattering happily about her afternoon with
Michael. She notices that Jason is a little quiet and asks if Robin got
off okay. Jason says yes, but Robin can't take Carly living with them and
it isn't good for Michael to be around Carly and Robin fighting. He tells
Carly that they will have to find her a new place to live before Robin
returns. Carly says ok, if that is what Jason wants. Jason says that none
of this is what he wants, but it's how it has to be for everyone's
sake.
AJ went to the cottage to visit Carly and was surprised to learn
that Robin had left town. AJ tried to get on Carly's good side and
offered to help her any way that he could, but Carly saw through his
attempt at friendship. After AJ left, Carly assured Jason that she
would never let the Quartermaines get their hands on Michael and gave
Jason a friendly hug. Jason then listened as Carly told Michael a fairy
tale based on her own life with Jason.
Bobbie and Carly are in the cottage, and Carly is showing Bobbie some
patterns and decorating stuff for Michael's room. Bobby says,
"I'm really surprised that Robin let you redecorate." Carly
responds, "Who asked Robin? Her opinion is not going to count for
much longer!" Carly tells Bobby that she plans to move back into the
penthouse with Jason and Michael. Bobbie tells Carly that she needs a
reality check! Jason is not going to move away from Robin, he loves Robin!
Carly says that since Robin left for Europe, Jason has been so happy, and
he hasn't been faking it. She says that Jason and Robin are over, they
just don't know it yet!
Jason and Michael are in the bike shop and Johnny from the organization
come in and asks Jason for help. He says that there's trouble with Moreno
and he needs Jason's help. Mike comes into the shop and overhears Jason
arranging to meet with Moreno. Mik warns Jason not to meet Moreno, not to
make it his problem. Jason tells Mike that it is his problem, he and
Moreno made a deal that Jason's people would not be touched, and now
Moreno is breaking his word. He has to straighten things out before things
get out of control.
Jason and Carly are about to go on their hike with Michael when Justus,
who by the way works for Moreno, comes in with a message. Justus tells
Jason, as a friend, that it would be wise for him to stay away, to let it
go, and that his deal doesn't fly anymore. Jason assures Justus that he
will retaliate. As soon as Justus leaves, Jason takes out his gun and
loads it. We then hear Michael crying from upstairs, Jason feels guilty,
and unloads and puts the gun away. Carly questions Jason on why Justus
came over and Jason answers: business. She continues, "You can tell
me, you miss the business, the thrill, the rush that makes you feel alive.
You can tell me everything, I'm not going to judge you." Jason
replies, "I was nothing before. Since I met Sonny, he took he time to
teach me things, how to run the business, how to read people. One of the
things he taught me was that if you're not powerful, you're powerless.
Moreno thinks I'm powerless, but I'm not. " Carly wonders if he
doesn't want to go back? He teases her that she misses having a driver.
Justus reports back to Moreno that he warned Jason to stay out of Moreno's
business. Moreno says, "Good, if Morgan interferes in my business
again, I'll have him removed.
Jason and Carly are in the park with Michael. Carly is nervous because
Jason is going to leave her alone with Michael for a short time, just to
get Michael used to being with her when Jason isn’t around. Jason tells
Carly that they have been over this before. Michael needs to spend time
with her alone. Carly is concerned that Michael will start screaming or
something. The last thing she wants to do is throw him off balance.
Michael is one of the few people she hasn’t ticked off. Jason assures
her that everything will be fine. Jason explains to Michael that he
is only going to be gone for a little while. Just long enough to get a
bike part. Carly is still worried. What if Michael freaks, or what if she
freaks? Jason assures her that she and Michael will be fine. Everything
she needs is in the diaper bag, they both have their cell phones. There is
nothing to worry about. As Jason leaves, he tells Michael to behave
himself and he tells Carly not to worry. All she has to do is play with
Michael and pay attention. After Jason leaves, Carly talks to Michael
trying to decide what they should do.
Jason arrives at the shop to discover Mike working on a motorcycle. Mike
offers to let him finish, but Jason declines saying that he has to go pick
up Michael and Carly. He tells Mike that is only the third time he has
left Michael alone with Carly. Mike asks how it's going. Jason says that
it's better since Robin left, not for him because he misses her a lot. But
for Michael since Carly and Robin hate each other. All Michael sees is two
people he loves who hate each other. They discuss how Michael is not ready
to move out with Carly. Jason is worried because he promised Robin that
Carly would be moved out by the time she returned. Jason knows Carly is
working it a little, but she is also scared. She has missed a lot of
Michael's life. Jason is worried because it's taking longer than he
thought for Michael to get used to Carly. He doesn't know what he is going
to do if Robin comes home before Carly is ready to leave. Mike
suggests that Jason take his own advice and worry about it when it
happens. Jason thanks Mike and leaves to pick up Michael and Carly.
Carly is pushing Michael in the swing when Helena walks through the park.
Carly notices Helena and leaves Michael unattended while she walks over to
her to ask her what kind of fur coat she is wearing. She and Helena chat
briefly and then Carly turns around to check on Michael. She is furious
when she sees Tony squatting next to the swing playing with him. She
demands that he get away from Michael at once. Carly takes Michael
out of the swing while Tony follows her telling her that she hasn't
changed a bit. She is still more interested in hobnobbing with the rich
and famous then taking care of her own child. Carly tells Tony to get a
life. She barely stepped away from Michael so Tony had better back off.
Tony dares her to make a scene, maybe it will make the papers and then
Jason can read about it. Carly backs off saying there is no need to make a
federal case out of it. She suggests that Tony just leave. Tony says
he will be happy to keep her little secret, except from Jason. As
Michael's father, Jason has a right to know about Carly's lack of
interest. Carly in turn threatens to tell Bobbie that Tony threatened her
in the park.
Jason arrives as they are arguing and demands to know what is going on.
Jason is very angry when he sees Tony talking to Carly and Michael. He
won't tolerate Tony harassing Carly and Michael. He tells Tony to leave
Carly and his son alone. Tony starts to tell Jason that he found Michael
alone, but Carly interrupts and defends Tony. She tells Jason that Tony
wasn't bothering her and to leave him alone. It was an accident that they
bumped into each other. Tony agrees that they were trying to ignore
their differences and focus on their similarities, like their love for
children. Jason lets Tony leave, but turns to Carly and demands to know
what really happened between the two of them. Carly denies that anything
happened. She says that Tony saw her before she saw him. She didn't have
the opportunity to avoid him. Tony commented on how much Michael had grown
and she couldn't find a polite way to not answer him. What was she
supposed to do, grab Michael and run. She learned a few things at
Ferncliff, like don't throw a match on an already volatile
situation. Jason reminds Carly that Tony kidnapped Michael, but Carly
assures him that she would never let anything happen to Michael.
Carly is redecorating Michael's room. Jason wonders if she knows what she
is doing. She says she does and that wallpapering is simple. Jason helped
Carly as she started to wallpaper Michael's nursery. As they are
decorating the room, Carly flips up her hair seductively, asking Jason to
look to see if she has gotten any glue on her neck. Jason doesn’t take
the bait and just tells her she doesn’t. Carly then asks Jason if
they can redo her room as well, but Jason reminded Carly that she would be
moving out before Robin returned home. Upset at that thought, Carly
claimed it might take longer if Michael wasn't ready to make the
adjustment. Jason suggested leaving Michael with Carly for longer periods
of time. Carly asks him what if she and the baby aren't ready to be
separated from him just yet. Jason only says that he will explain to Robin
that she and Michael need more time. After they are done
wallpapering Michael’s room, Carly suggests hanging a man in the moon on
the wall for Michael since he likes to always point at the moon. Jason
thinks its a good idea and goes out to his car for some nails and
equipment.
While he is outside, Carly gets a phone call from Robin who wants to speak
to Jason. Carly lies and tells her that Jason is out, and doesn’t know
when he will be back. Robin tells Carly that she will be home in
about a week so let Jason know. She also gives Carly her new phone number
and tells her to write it down so Jason can call her back. Carly pretends
to write it down, but doesn’t. Robin suspects this, and asks Carly to
read back the phone number. Carly sarcastically says that she may not have
gone to Yale, but does know how to write down a phone number and tells
Robin chow and hangs up. Jason comes back in the room, not
suspecting that Robin has called, while Carly says nothing about it.
Jason is pouring paint and wonders why Carly has stopped working. Carly
says that she is afraid of what Robin would say about the wallpaper. She
then goes on to say other things about Robin, but Jason stops her cold and
tells her that she will not be putting herself between him and
Robin. Carly says that she is not. Jason then tells her that she,
Michael and him are a family, and Robin can’t change that. Carly says if
they are a family then why can’t they live together like one. Jason
tells her because they can’t and then says that Michael will understand
when he is older that they both love him, but that they don’t love each
other. Hoping to score points with Jason, Carly continues to paint herself
as the perfect little mother and companion.
When that doesn’t work, Carly climbs up the ladder, and looks for a way
to get Jason’s attention. She purposely falls off the ladder, pretending
to hurt her ankle. While Jason is massaging Carly's ankle, she
screams out in fake pain. He takes off her shoe, and says that she needs
to elevate it and put ice on it. She asks to do it in his room because
Michael is sleeping and asks that he carry her in there. Jason picks her
up and carries her to his room. Jax shows up at the cottage. He
knocks, then let himself in with his key and overhears Carly ooh-ing
and mmmmm-ing "Oh yeah Jason, right there..." Of course we all
know that Jason is just massaging the ankle and putting ice on it. Jax
calls up to them and Jason says he'll be down in a minute (leaving enough
time for him to seemingly put clothes on in Jax's eyes) and comes down
wanting to know how Jax got inside. Jax said that he was looking for a
necklace that Brenda had and hoped she didn't die with it. He would be the
only one to know where it is and Robin gave him permission to go in and
get it if no one was in. Jax asked if he should wait before he goes
up to the room. Jason didn't see why not so they go up together. Right
before Jason opens the door, Carly throws a blanket over herself and with
wearing a spaghetti strapped top so she looked undressed and she bats out
what did Jax want? Jax comes in quickly, looks for Brenda's necklace,
finds it and starts to lecture Jason on how he gave the house to Robin and
that Jason was betraying Robin. Jason didn't say one thing to deny any
suspicions. Carly asks, what if he tells Robin? Jason believes that Robin
will believe him and doesn't care what Jax thinks.
Jason is talking on the phone with Robin, and Carly is busted for not
telling Jason that Robin called earlier.Jason said he isn't mad at Carly,
that she was just being herself and he is used to her games, he also
points out that he knows she sprained her ankle on purpose. Jason warns
Carly that if she ever messes with Michael's head, safety or life in a
negative way, he will get mad and come after her. After Jason leaves,
Carly worries that Jason will find out the truth about her letting Tony
get close to Micheal. Then A.J. shows up to smooth talk Carly, but
she doesn't buy it. AJ goes for the sympathy angle. He tells Carly about
Alan being a drug addict and how he was arrested for murder. Carly
does feel sorry for AJ. AJ then offers to help Carly find a house so she
can get out on her own, but Carly turns him down. Jason then returns home
and throws AJ out.
Jason is at the garage talking to Leticia on the phone. As he finishes his
conversation, Felicia arrives. She asks Jason what he knows about a man
named Moreno. Jason tells Felicia that she came to the wrong guy. If some
other blonde lady got into trouble instead of her, she should go to her
husband, the police commissioner. Felicia says that Mac is out of
town. And it gets worse. Tammy wasn't the one who got arrested. Alan was
and now he is sitting in a jail cell being held for murder. Jason says
that Alan is a junkie, he is capable of anything. Felicia explains
that she called Alan to help Tammy and that he had no idea what he was
getting into and neither did she. Jason asks if the dealer knew who she
was. Felicia says that he didn't let on, but he must have. She and
Luke think that Moreno must have been trying to set her up to blackmail
Mac.
Jason suggests that Felicia and Mac are Robin's family. Felicia asks if he
thinks that Moreno is daring Jason to do something. Why would he, Jason is
no threat? She puts two and two together and asks Jason if Moreno wants a
showdown. When Jason doesn't answer, Felicia suggests that he call
Robin and tell her not to come home. Jason says that Robin is not threat,
and when she comes home Jason has everything he wants and Moreno
isn't going to pull him into anything. Felicia thanks him for his help.
Carly arrives and is wearing a new Russian Sable coat. Felicia is
surprised when she learns that the coat was a gift from Jason. She says
life must be good for Carly, and she hears that it is going to get even
better when Robin comes home and Carly gets her own place. Jason
tells Felicia that if Moreno killed the dealer, they will never find a
murder weapon. Another thing about Moreno, he keeps coming back. Carly
hangs up the phone and says that she has to go home. Felicia offers to
help her house hunt, but Carly tells her that she is too busy and it
will have to wait until next week. Felicia asks if that isn't a little
long to wait since Robin is coming home, but Carly blows her off.
Carly suggests to Jason that they not go home. She wants to show off her
new coat. Michael is safe with Leticia, so why not?
Carly drags Jason to Jake's, the seedy pool hall where they used to hang
out. Carly tells Jason she wants to sit at their usual table. Carly was
determined to have a good time and does her best to remind Jason of the
good old days, but he's not the nostalgic type. Carly asks Jason to dance.
He wonders about her hurt ankle. Another guy comes over and asks Carly to
dance. She accepts and dances sexy to try to make Jason jealous, however
it doesn't work. Jason is watching them. After Carly finishes dancing, the
guy tries to come onto Carly. She informs him who her date is, and the guy
leaves her alone. Carly returns to her table and complains to Jason about
how he is ignoring her. Jason amusingly tells her that he can see that she
was busy. She tells him that the guy had his hands all over her and asked
if Jason even noticed. He tells her he did notice, but didn't see a
problem with it since Carly was the one who put the guys hands there. She
then wonders why he's not jealous when another man looks at her. Jason
tells Carly he is happy with Robin and doesn't think of other women. He
also tells her that he has no ties to her and if she wants a guy and likes
him, who is he to stop her.
Carly is disappointed by his answer, but still continues her cat and mouse
game. While Jason is busy eating, Carly brings up the topic of sex and
says she doesn't see the big deal in discussing two friends who had
sex. Jason corrects her and says, no two strangers who had sex. Carly says
whatever, but wonders why Jason now finds the topic morally
objectionable. Jason tells her it's like the long distance people who keep
calling, he's happy with his current provider, meaning Robin. Carly tells
him that he should consider her his ex-lover. She explains to Jason that
when you've had a relationship with another person, you sometimes feel
certain things. He corrects her again and says "felt certain
things", but she says feel, like in the present. She continues by
saying that they want the other person to be happy in their new
relationship, but there is still a part of them that wants things to be
back the way they were. She says that there will always be an attraction
to the other person, a physical desire. She pushes him into complimenting
her appearance by putting herself down. He does and she gets happy and
invites him to dance, but Jason would rather play pool.
As they continue to play pool, Jason has won a few games in a row. He
suggests that she could play better with her coat off. She just wants to
show it off. He says that she looks hot, then explains that it must be a
warm coat. She goads him into dancing with her again. Jason takes the bait
and leads her to the small dance floor. She flings off her coat and tells
him to come here because she is hot. She holds him close while they dance
with a big smile on her face and then starts kissing his neck. She
says that she still has the key to the room upstairs that he gave her. He
asks her why she saved it. She says that if he hadn't have given her the
key, there wouldn't have been no Michael and if she would have never met
him, she thinks she would have probably ended shot in the head or
something. She then wonders who lives there now. Jason says that the
bartender says that no one does. She then tells him that she used to like
when he would say "would you like to go upstairs?" Jason says
nothing and then Carly asks him if he wants to go upstairs? (this
provocative conversation is continued on the next edit).
