Jason's first scene on GH! Jason arrives home for the holidays to the joy of Alan and Monica and Ned. AJ is less than thrilled to see his brother. AJ calls Jason the bastard son and Jason slugs him. Jason comes back from skiing, and spends time with the family. The house is decorated for the holidays, Jennings is the butler, Tracey & Paul live there. Jason discusses his time in Europe and describes his adventures to the horror of his family. He slept in hostels, people's homes, etc. as opposed to hotels. Alan expresses his pride in Jason. Ned introduces Jason to his fiancee, Jenny Eckert. The Quartermaines actually appear to be a normal family celebrating the holidays. AJ is jealous of Jason coming home, and feels like he is inferior to his brother. He feels his parents would prefer to spend time with Jason than him. Alan introduces Jason to people at GH. Audrey is at the hospital as well as Bobbie and Tony. Christmas songs at GH, Robin is a little girl and is dressed as a Christmas Elf! Christmas Eve back at the Q's, Jason calls Edward "Grandpa"! (not grandfather). The Quartermaines are hospitable and welcome less fortunate guests into their home for Christmas. Monica explains the Christmas ornaments and says each one has a special story. Lila and Edward joke around. Jason tells Lila she's "looking hot tonight," and jokes around with Edward. AJ and Jason are going to a party, and Alan and Monica forbid them to drink. AJ schemes to get his friend to lie to his parents so they can go to the party and drink. AJ and Jason argue, and AJ threatens Jason that "if I go down, you go down." AJ tells him to keep his mouth shut about the drinking at the party. Alan, Monica, Jason, and Edward discuss watching the Rose Bowl together. Jason toys with AJ by "almost" telling their parents about the drinking and strippers at the party. Monica and Alan foolishly believe that Jason and AJ are getting along. New Year's Eve - Angry parents show up at the Q's and tell off Alan and Monica for their permissive parenting. They bring in a box of alcohol bottles that AJ has taken to a party at their house (along with strippers!). Alan and Monica apologize if their boys are to blame for the liquor. The parents continue to tear into them, and Alan and Monica have had enough. The parents leave. Alan and Monica discuss that they think Jason had nothing to do with it, but that AJ was at the root of it. AJ blames Jason for telling their parents about the alcohol at the party. Jason tells him it's AJ's fault and he brought it on himself. They continue arguing, and Alan and Monica walk in. Jason tries to get out of the confrontation, but Monica and Alan get him to stay. They try to get AJ to confess. Tracey walks in and is trying to plan a party. Monica and Alan try to get her to leave so they can continue talking to Jason and AJ. They get into an argument with Tracey, and Tracey brags about how good her son, Ned, is. She says that their son is a disgrace (referring to AJ). Ned and Jenny walk in, and the argument falls apart. Later on, Angela (Jenny's Mom) gives a beautiful designer jacket to Tracey the "mother of the groom" at a party at the Quartermaine's house. Bill toasts to Jenny and Ned's wedding. AJ is getting drunk at the party. AJ is drunk, and Jason begs him to not let their parents see him in that condition. AJ comes in an starts insulting Jason again in front of Alan and Monica. Alan tells him to apologize to his brother, but AJ says he's his "half brother" so he'll "half apologize." AJ stumbles around, and Monica asks him if he's been drinking. Alan grounds him "until further notice." Alan begins yelling at AJ, and Monica gets onto Alan. Alan then starts yelling at her. Alan gets out of control yelling at AJ and threatens to slap him. Alan clutches his chest in pain, gasping, and Monica forces him to sit down. He says he needs his medication. Monica was unaware he was on medication. He discusses needing to eliminate stress. Apparently, he has an ulcer. AJ asks if there's anything he can do, but Monica tells him "he's done enough." Cut to a news story on T.V., where a small plane has crashed into a mall. The newscaster comes over to interview Jason at the mall. Ned, Jenny, and Amy are shocked as they're watching it all unfold on t.v. Jason was a hero and rescued a small child. The newscaster tells him he needs to get his bleeding hand examined. Ned discusses that he's glad Jason wants to be a doctor and not a businessman. They remark that AJ is different from Jason, and Ned describes them as "Cain and Abel," and that you just "hope no one gets killed." Alan is at the hospital treating patients, and sees Jason getting treated for minor injuries. Alan is very relieved to see his son okay. Audrey comes over to check on Jason, and tells Alan that Jason was a hero. Ruby is passing out ham sandwiches to people at the hospital. Jason and Alan are all dressed up in Tuxedos at a party for Ned. Jason asks Alan how his ulcer is, and Alan jokingly remarks "thank you, Doctor." Jason tells Alan he doesn't want to return to boarding school but would like to stay in PC. Alan agrees. Ned toasts his beautiful bride, Jenny, and his family, and her family. Tracey is unhappy. Ned surprises Jenny with a beautiful necklace from Lila. AJ is given papers that he must appear at court for his DUI. AJ is trying to keep his court date discreet, but Jason overhears. AJ asks Ned for a suggestion for a lawyer. Ned suggests Scotty Baldwin -- and sarcastically says that Scotty might be able to fit him in before his disbarment case. AJ snaps at Ned. Jenny tries to comfort AJ and he's rude to Jenny. Ned yells at him. AJ leaves, and Jason walks in. Jason offers to help them with the wedding plans, and Ned asks him to be his best man. Jason accepts. Jason is at the hospital with Monica and sees a comatose patient (Mr. Stockton). He asks Monica for some advice, and wants to know "how do you deal with a comatose patient?" Monica wants to know why he's asking, and Jason reveals that he wants to be a doctor someday. Monica is happy and says Alan will be pleased. Jason says he's happy being in PC, and asks Monica if he can stay in PC and go to school as opposed to going back to boarding school. She agrees and Jason goes to register at Port Charles High. Jason tells Monica when AJ's DUI hearing is. Monica and Alan go with AJ to court. Jason gives AJ a hard time and teases him about getting thrown into jail for a long time. Jason and Edward sit and talk. Jason is trying to fill out forms for high school. Jason tells Edward he'd like to be a doctor -- more specifically a surgeon. He tells Edward he hopes he's not disappointed that he doesn't want to be a business tycoon. Jason asks for Edward's advice, and the two joke around. Jason is at school eating lunch with some fellow students. AJ is working in the cafeteria (part of his community service for DUI), and Jason says hi to him, but AJ ignores him. Jason is talking with his classmates about his trip to Europe and they're all impressed -- especially the girls. Jason speaks in French to impress them. Jason rubs it in that AJ is working in the cafeteria. Jason takes his best man duties very seriously. He plans a bachelor party for Ned at the Outback, and is nervous about it. Connor jokes around with Jason. Jason gets upset when Sean, Mac, and Robert Scorpio call and can't make it to the bachelor party. Jason reminds Paul about the bachelor party, and Paul says he's too busy. Jason is upset because he's put a lot of time into party planning, and no one is able to come. Jason asks AJ if he's coming to the bachelor party, and AJ says no, but agrees when Jason threatens to make him take the bus to PC High for his community service (Jason had been driving him every day). Jason tells Edward that his party is a disaster, so Edward tries to help him out and invite people. Jason tries inviting some doctors from the hospital to Ned's bachelor party, and they give him a hard time. Alan tries to help him out, and tells everyone to change their schedule to go. Jason promises that the party will be "special," and the doctors get the idea that there will be a "girl jumping out of a cake." At the Outback, Alan is wearing a baseball cap backwards, and everyone is joking around. There's no alcohol at the party (at Alan's request) because of AJ. The men at the bachelor party begin playing games. The men draw a question out of a hat, and then ask a man of their choice the question. ie-- "what's the best thing about marriage?" "describe the best thing about your wife?" "describe marriage," "what does it take to have a happy marriage?" everyone is having a great time. Girls come in dressed as cheerleaders and begin dancing. Jason keeps pushing Ned toward the girls, and he goes up and starts dancing with them. All the men start dancing with the girls, and it's very comical, especially when one of the older doctors starts dancing with one of the girls. Ned takes one of the ponpons and starts shaking it around. Alan does the same thing (with his baseball cap on backwards). They form a conga line. The whole scene is played for laughs. All of a sudden, in the midst of everything, Edward brings a bunch of his older friends to the party (Edward is wearing a sparkly red hat with sequins). Bill shows up and he and Ned call a truce (at least for the night). It turns out, it's Valentine's Day (the night of the bachelor party). All of the men seem to have forgotten it was Valentine's Day except Alan and Tony. One of the "strippers" tells AJ to call her when he gets a little bit older. Tony leaves and says he's "taking this with me" (referring to one of the ponpons). Ned is angry with AJ, because he forgot to get his Tux fitted, and it's too small. Rehearsal for Ned and Jenny's wedding. Tracey is disgusted. Angela (Jenny's Mom) pairs everyone off. Sheila and AJ are uncomfortably paired together, and Alan suggests that AJ be paired with Amy instead. They adjust accordingly. They're waiting for Bill to show up (he's supposed to walk Jenny down the aisle). He arrives late, and she makes him promise to be on time on the actual wedding day. Bill thinks that Ned is trying to sabotage him. They spar a bit until dinner is served. At the Quartermaine house, everyone calls for Ned and Jenny to give a speech. Jenny says that Tracey will accept her one day when she sees how happy she and Ned are together. Ned and Jenny give gifts to everyone, and later talk on the phone before the wedding. The wedding takes place with Jason standing beside Ned as the best man. There is a "special" red flower in the bouquet of white flowers that Jenny is carrying down the aisle. All of a sudden, someone presses a button on a remote, and it activates the flower. Paul rushes forward, grabs the bouquet from Jenny, and tosses the bouquet away. Bill freaks out and tells everyone to stay where they are. A man rushes out the door, and Monica asks what's going on. He says "it hasn't started yet" (referring to the wedding), and rushes quickly out the door. Bill grabs the bouquet and notices the "flower." He asks for someone to call a bomb squad. Everyone gasps and there's an uproar. Ned tries to comfort Jenny. The bomb squad comes while the guests wait anxiously. Turns out the bomb wasn't operative. Bobbie tries comfort Jenny who thinks her wedding is ruined. Ned is furious with Bill and blames him for the bomb. He says it's his fault because he made enemies. A detective comes up to Bill and says he needs to discuss Faison with him later. Mac comes looking for Robin. The detective tells Mac that Robin has been lured to the Cannery by Faison. Mac takes off for the Cannery. The wedding continues without any more problems. Jason (after some comical mic problems) introduces Ned and Jenny as "Mr. and Mrs. Ashton" at the wedding reception. AJ is trying to impress some girls, and Jason interrupts him and starts making fun of him. The bouquet toss follows, and then the garter toss. Ned and Jenny leave, and the wedding ceremony ends. Alan and Jason talk to Monica about Ned and Jenny returning from their honeymoon. Monica is excited that David Langton awakens from his coma. It's St. Patrick's Day, and AJ introduces Nikki. Jason tells Alan he needs to get to the hospital so he can sign up to volunteer. Alan invites Nikki and AJ to the St. Patricks' Day Parade. Robin and Jason sign up to be volunteers ("Volunteens") at the hospital. Robin obviously has a crush on Jason as she looks at him admiringly. Jason says he and Robin can recruit some people to volunteer at the hospital. Robin remarks that she didn't think Jason would remember her. He says that he makes a point to know all of the class presidents (indicating her). They start planning on how to recruit people to volunteer. Robin suggests they talk to people together so it's a "team effort." Jason is at the hospital taking his first training session for "Volunteens." Jason introduces Carl to Audrey as one of the volunteers he recruited. Robin shows up with Jody to volunteer. Upon seeing the boys, she collects on a bet she'd made with Jody that boys would actually show up. Karen shows up, and Robin and her friend are disgusted (because they're jealous). They realize they now don't stand a chance with the guys. Audrey comes up with a teen hotline idea, and teens are all excited about starting it. Tiffany shows up and offers to give the teens a ride home. Jason offers to give Karen a ride home, she refuses at first, but eventually accepts. Robin is jealous. Nikki talks about how wonderful Monica is. AJ outs to Nikki that Monica is not Jason's biological mother. Ned is freaking out because he can't find his Phantom of the Opera cd. He enlists everyone to help him search for it. Jason comes in all sweaty after a run and asks for some water. Tracey gives him a hard time. Jason finds the Phantom c.d. in the case for "Elvis: The Golden Years." Jason wants to hear the Phantom c.d., but Tracey tells him to leave. Jason, in his pajamas, comes to Alan upstairs in his bedroom and wants to talk. He's concerned about Nikki Langton and wants to know why she's still at their house. Jason says he doesn't know what he'd do if he (Alan) ever died. He asks Alan if he ever thinks about his (Jason's) Mom. Jason says he still thinks about his Mom, even though she died when he was little. Monica comes in on their conversation. Jason doesn't have school, so he's going to play softball. He invites Ned to go with him, but the mood is somber in the room (Tracey, Lila, and Ned are there). Ned tells Jason that police commissioner Scorpio and his wife, Anna, were killed. Jason and Robin meet to discuss ideas in the cafeteria for the Volunteens. Jason tries to come up with ideas for a new poster. Jason says he'll give Robin a ride to the hospital. She remarks that it's early, but he says he'd like to get lunch. It's a cute scene where Jason and Robin are joking around. A guy comes over to the table and is a jerk. Jason tells Robin, "I get the feeling he thinks you like him." She replies, "He's right, I did." Jason and Robin have lunch at the hospital cafeteria. They discuss their parents. Jason asks Robin how she's doing with her parents being gone (dead). She says it hasn't sunk in yet. He tells her she's been through a lot. She says the volunteer program helps her forget about stuff. Jason offers to be there for her if she needs anyone to talk to. Jason and Robin's friends show up, but Karen is absent. Jason asks where she is. Robin gets jealous when she shows up, but Jason is excited. Jason is very chipper and happy, and Jody is annoyed and asks "is he going be like this all the time?" and he responds with an "absolutely! let's go please!" Audrey does an orientation along with both Dr. Hardys for Robin, Jason, Karen, Jody, and Carl. The surgeons say that the teen hotline is the most important aspect. The surgeons talk about training for the hotline for calls such as suicide, drugs, dating, etc. Audrey shows them their new, hideous uniforms, and they all groan. Jason calls the uniforms nerdy. Everyone hates the name "Volunteens" and wants to change it. Jason and Karen are talking, and Jody and Carl are talking, leaving Robin the "odd man out." Jason offers to give Karen a ride, but she wants to take the bus instead. Robin says she needs a ride with Jason, but Jody says she can ride with them. Robin says her books are in Jason's car so she'd rather ride with him. Robin is obviously jealous about Karen and wants to discuss her with Jason. A surgeon offers Jason and Robin a chance to stick around the hospital and see what really goes on there after hours. They both excitedly agree. Later on, in the cafeteria, Robin is sad. Jason offers her a bottled juice and they sit at the table and talk. She apologizes if she ruined the experience for him, and says she's not sure if she's cut out for the hospital stuff. Jason tries to reassure her, and tells her she's a natural. They talk about her parents again. Jason says he can tell she wants to help people. Jason calls Robin's house to speak to Robin. Robin had to go home from school early (I guess she was sick either physically or emotionally). Jason wanted to call and check on her to make sure she was ok. He says he'll meet her for lunch, and offers to give her a ride to the hospital. Robin thanks him for calling, and he tells her to take care of herself. It's a really sweet scene, where Robin is genuinely touched that Jason cared enough to check on her. Jason goes to GH and speaks to Amy so he can check on his father. Apparently, his dad didn't come home last night, and he's worried about him. Jason says he knows there's been a lot of tension between Alan and Monica. He's worried about Alan's ulcer. Jason says that he sees what Robin Scorpio is going through, and he doesn't want to go through that and lose his Dad. Alan tells him he loves him, and Jason says he loves him, too. Later on, Jason is surprised to see his Dad at home. He asks him for $20. Alan says he's proud of Jason for all of his studying and volunteer work. Jason tells him that he's really thankful for everything he and his Mom have done for him. Alan gets upset about AJ, and his ulcer starts acting up. Jason worries about him, so he goes to GH to see his Mom. He can't figure out what's wrong and wants to know what's going on. He says Alan's sticking to his diet, so he doesn't know why his ulcer is acting up unless it's stress related. Jason tells Monica she looks like she could use some rest. He tells her that she and Alan should take a Valentine's vacation to Hawaii. She says she'll consider it. Nikki is on the phone and Jason walks in. She asks if Jason's parents are having problems. He lies and says no. Jason talks about how it's so sad that at school, a lot of guys talk about how much they hate their parents. Jason says he loves his parents and can't imagine ever hating them. Robin and the other teens are getting advice from Dr. Hardy as to how to handle the teen hotline calls. Karen's not there, and Jason wonders where she is. Everyone think she's going going to be a no-show. Jason has faith in her though and is pleased when she shows up. They continue getting advice as to how to handle the phone calls. Jason requests a name change for the "Volunteens." Karen defends the name, and Jason and she get into a little spat. Jason offers to give anyone a ride home. Robin quickly accepts, but Jody says her Dad is supposed to take them home. Robin is disappointed, but says that she remembers that now. Jason gives Karen a ride home instead. Audrey instructs the teens on their first official day as volunteers. The teens are eager to get started on the hotline, but Audrey says they need more experience and more training sessions. Robin and Jody are absent from the volunteer session that day. Jason invites Karen to go eat in the cafeteria. She refuses, but eventually accepts. They agree to split a sandwich and soda. She drops something, and they both reach for it, bumping hands. He realizes she has two hospital I.D.s and questions her on it. She says it's just a mix up. A boy (Jagger) gets wheeled into the hospital, and Karen seems to take an interest in him as she watches. Tony tells Jagger he's got good news and bad news -- he's going to have to trade his hospital bed for the jail cot. Jagger asks, "what's the bad news?" He's wheeled to his room. Jason and AJ play basketball outside, and Monica comes out to speak to them. She says it's nice that they're getting along. Jason asks if she's ok, and she says she is now that she's away from Tracey. Monica takes the basketball from AJ and shoots some hoops. Monica tells the boys she's decided to take a week off to go to Maui with Alan. She asks them to keep the peace. AJ and Jason play competitively against each other to Harlem Globetrotter's music. They keep fouling each other by knocking each other down. They finally end up getting into an argument and insulting each other. Jason asks AJ if he wants them to end up like "Dad and Tracey." Jason and AJ are pushing each other around and Nikki comes downstairs. She says she's moving out and going to Kelly's and asks AJ to help her move. Tracey starts giving her a hard time, and AJ and Jason stand up for her. Tracey sees through Nikki, but AJ is deceived. Jason comes upon Karen who he suspects is trying to help Jagger escape from the hospital. But his guard returns before he can get away. Nikki Langton has been living with the Q's (a little info on her back story is contained below) and several of them seem suspicious of her. At a party at the Quartermaine's, Monica is excited to see Nikki and takes her around to introduce her to everyone. Edward gives a toast to Monica, and everyone sings Happy Birthday to her. At the end of the song, Monica is served with papers and told she is being sued for wrongful death of David Langton by Nikki. Jason comes to GH to check on Monica to see if she's ok. He's upset she can't go to Hawaii with Alan because of the lawsuit. Jason is furious that Nikki had the papers served at the party in front of everyone. AJ joins them after his therapy session. AJ had gone to speak to Nikki to find out why she is suing. AJ seems to defend Nikki, but Jason gets angry and is still furious with Nikki. Jason realizes they forgot Monica's birthday, so they contact Alan to make sure they plan something special for her birthday. Jason introduces Karen to AJ. AJ is a jerk to Karen, and she's cold in return. Jason calls him a jerk and a pig. Alan shows up, and Jason says they should throw Monica a surprise party. Karen asks Tony what happened to Jagger (upon seeing his empty room). He says he's been taken back to jail. She asks if there were any charges filed, and Tony says he was involved in a robbery. Jason shows up and asks "how involved?" Tony says he doesn't know, but that Jagger did save Ruby's life. Jason asks Karen if she knows Jagger. She denies it and says she helps a lot of people. Jason offers to study with Karen about a test she is worried about. He's happy when she accepts. Alan takes Monica to a nice restaurant for her birthday, and AJ and Jason show up to surprise her. They try to make her birthday special since she's going through such a hard time with the lawsuit. Jason is sitting in a room with Alan and Lila, and he asks Alan if Monica has a good lawyer yet. Ned is concerned that the Monica scandal will affect ELQ stock. Alan thinks he's callous. Ned says Monica may lose her career, and Alan threatens to throw he and Jenny out of the gatehouse. Lila lectures the two. The Quartermaine's argue (Tracey, Alan, AJ, Jason, Ned, Jenny, Lila). Karen shows up at their house and rings the doorbell just as Monica informs the family that if she's found guilty, she'll lose her career and house. The house erupts into a huge argument just as Karen walks in on the explosive feud. Jason tries to quiet everyone down and introduces a clearly uncomfortable Karen. In the Quartermaine library, Jason and Karen talk and study. She notices all the books and asks if anyone ever reads them. She says she feels like she's in a bookstore. He jokes around that she could borrow them and he'd charge her a quarter per book. She says she could live in the library. A maid comes in and brings them tea. Jason wants to take her out on the boat, but Karen isn't interested. It's obvious there are sparks between them. She jokingly calls him "Mr. Quartermaine." Later on, Jason and Karen are eating burgers and fries at Kelly's. She puts mustard on her fries, and he can't believe his eyes. She tells him to try it, and he does. Jason is excited that Karen got a 'B' on her exam. Karen reveals that she wants to get into Harvard Medical. Jason says maybe they'll go there together, it'd be more fun that way. Jason wants to study with her again, but she doesn't want to. She asks Jason if he aced Chemistry, and he says he did. Teen hotline meeting again, and Carl is joking around. He compares the teen hotline to Dear Abby. The teens are nervous about running the hotline. They do a role play, and Jason and Karen sit back-to-back. Jason plays the part of a hotline operator and Karen is the caller. Karen gets very personal about her mother's drinking. She gets uncomfortable when she feels she has revealed too much. Jason feels like he didn't do a good job with the role playing, but Robin reassures him. Robin is sad about her parents again, and Carl and Jody say that they'll all be there for her. Carl and Jody think that Karen did such a great job with the role playing that they "almost believed her", it seemed so real. Karen calls them all gullible. Robin looks at her seriously and says "not all of us." She and Jason seem to realize that Karen was really talking about her real problems, and not making up a story just for the role playing. Monica has skipped work again, and Jason checks in on her to make sure she's ok. She snaps at him, and breaks a vase. They try to clean it up, and Alan walks in. Jason covers for Monica and says the vase just fell off the desk. Alan blames Jason and says it was Lila's favorite vase. Monica admits it was her fault. Karen and Jason are at GH, and Jason compares her to Scarlett O'Hara. He invites her to get dinner, and she agrees. They go to Kelly's. Ruby says she loves the weather outside (it's raining). Jason starts questioning Karen about her mom. Karen dances around all of the questioning. Jason reveals that his mom is dead. They talk about her (Karen) walking in on the Quartermaine's fight earlier. They both lean in toward the table, their hands almost touching. They start studying, and Jason moves his chair so he's sitting beside her. A guy watches from the window, and eventually comes inside. It's Jagger. Karen sees him, and he sees her. He nods his head in acknowledgment, and starts to leave. Amy walks in the door and realizes it's Jagger. Jagger takes off. She asks Ruby what Jagger was doing there. Ruby takes off looking for him. Jagger is in the pouring rain on the docks trying to get out of the rain. Jason and Karen are walking on the docks, and Jagge iis underneath hearing them. Jason has his jacket covering Karen's head so she won't get wet. Jagger is shivering uncontrollably. Jason runs Karen to the bus stop, but it's taking off. They run trying to catch it. Jagger sits in the cold rain watching them. Jason asks one of the doctors if he thinks they're ready for the teen hotline. They begin discussing Jason's Mom until Carl shows up and they leave for Kelly's. They show up at Kelly's, and Karen is there ordering food at the counter. Jason wants to give her a ride to the hospital, but she refuses. He invites her on a date to a party his basketball team is having. She asks if it's a date, and he says yes, and he insists on picking her up. She refuses then. He presses her, and she says he doesn't give up. She says she has a job, and she has to work that night. He asks if she can take that night off, she gets angry and says she doesn't have that luxury. He apologizes. Jagger smugly looks at Jason. Jason is upset with himself, because he didn't realize Karen was having financial problems. At GH, AJ wants Jason to give him a ride home. AJ mentions wanting to take over ELQ from Ned someday, saying that "we can't ALL be doctors." One of the doctors is cold to AJ, and Jason asks him why. He says he can't stand the fact that AJ's dating Nikki Langton after what she did to Monica's family. Jason didn't realize AJ was dating her. They fight over it later. AJ says that "seeing someone, and siding with someone are two different things." Monica shows up to break up the fight. Monica says she can fight Nikki Langton. At the teen hotline, they're waiting for Karen. Robin hands Judy a slip of paper with a phone number on it. She asks whose it is. Robin says it's Carl's #, so she can call him and ask him out. Jody is scared about working the hotline the next night. Karen finally shows up. They role play again, and Carl takes the call while Robin is the mock caller. Robin "makes up" a story about wanting to call a guy she likes. She's obviously talking about the scenario between Jody and Carl. Carl asks the guys name, and Jody screams "No!" to prevent Robin from giving away her crush. Robin starts laughing and says his name is "Christopher." Jody gets her revenge when she's the mock caller and Jason takes the call. Jody says that her friend, Roberta, is in love with an older guy. Jason asks "how much older?" and she says "2-3 years." Robin is dying of embarrassment and covering her face at the thinly veiled story. She says she's been trying to help her friend to get over the guy. He asks how old she is and she says "14." Jason doesn't see the problem. Jody continues, but is getting more and more obvious. She says that he's the "most popular guy at school, and his family is really, really..." she trails off as Robin gives her a look, and finishes with the word "poor" instead of "rich." She continues that he's an upperclassman at her school. Jason says he doesn't see a problem with a senior and freshman having a relationship "but, (he hangs up the phone and looks directly at Jody), if you want to tell me who you have a crush on, Jody, I can try to set you up." He laughs, and Jody rolls her eyes and looks at Robin pointedly. Robin looks away embarrassed. Dr. Hardy takes them into their new space for the teen hotline. They try to come up with ways to "dress up" the place. Jody and Carl flirt. Jason and Karen talk, and he gives her some books that he bought for her to help her in Chemistry. Karen is sitting at a desk, while Jason is tacking up fliers. He talks to her, and Karen keeps ignoring him. Jason tries to talk to her, but Robin comes in and interrupts. Karen compliments Robin on her outfit. Robin asks how Tracey's baby is (he was born prematurely). Jody shows up and they decide to order some food. Jason turns on the radio really loudly, and a doctor comes in to turn it down. The doctor recommends they "make the room their own." He suggests they put their signatures on the couch. They all take turns writing their names in black marker on the couch. Jody recommends Robin sign her name RIGHT next to Jason's. She does, and Jason almost catches her. She sits down in front of the signature to cover it, and is obviously embarrassed. She tries to act cool and throws the marker back to him (he catches it). Jason defends his Mom to Mr. Stockton. AJ comes in and remarks that he didn't know this was a "group session." The lawyer begins questioning Jason and AJ. Jason and argue begin arguing and Mr. Stockton tries to get them to calm down. They continue to argue. Jason defends Monica, and AJ defends Nikki. Jason comes in with tons of flowers for Tracey in the hospital. All of the other Quartermaines are in the hospital room with her. Tracey asks them to all leave so she can check on her premature son. Jagger shows up at the teen hotline room with an order of burgers from Kelly's. He talks to Karen, and asks her about the hotline. He asks who's paying for the food, and Jason shows up to pay. He asks Jagger if he has "change for a $50?" Jagger sarcastically says "yeah, on my private jet downstairs." Jagger leaves, and Karen says he's working at Kelly's now. Jason says it's probably part of his parole. Karen gets upset, but before they can argue further, Robin asks for Jason's help hanging up a poster. Robin is thrilled at their close proximity when he's helping her. Afterwards, an "advertisement" for the teen hotline comes on over the radio. The teens are all excited about it. Jason hugs Monica before her hearing. All of the Q's give their support to her. They all want to go to the court hearing, but Monica asks them all to stay home. They refuse, and she gets angry at them. She tries to talk them out of coming, but they all insist on going. They finally give in when they realize she's genuinely upset. Monica says she doesn't know what's going to happen, and she doesn't want them to be embarrassed by what happens. They all wish her luck and leave. Alan questions Monica why she doesn't want the family there. Monica says she's scared, and she starts crying. She doesn't want the boys to see her ripped to shreds on the stand. The teens are at a newly decorated teen hotline. Jody tells Robin that she looks great today. Robin says "yeah, and see what good it does?" she motions toward Jason who is talking to Karen. The phone rings for the first time ever, and Robin picks up. She's obviously nervous. She starts to fumble with the call, and Jason tries to help her out by handing her a pad of paper with suggestions for questions she can ask and things she can say. The girl on the phone is 15, and her boyfriend is 3 years older (Robin is realizing the scenario is similar to her and Jason's if they were together). Robin keeps looking at Jason. The girl says her boyfriend keep pressuring her to sleep with him, but she's not ready. Robin says she can imagine what she'd feel like if she were in the same situation. She talks her through the call. They all go to Kelly's to celebrate, and Jason tells Karen that "her friend" (referring to Jagger) is here. Jagger comes over to take the teen's order. Jagger asks Jason if he wants his job, Jason says sure and takes the notepad from him. He asks Karen what she wants, and she says "chili." Jason writes it down, as Jagger gets a jab in and says "it's spelled with a 'c.'" They laugh, and Jagger takes the notepad back and puts their order in. Monica tells Jason that the trial didn't go well. Monica says Jason needs to know something before he hears about it at school. Monica says she had an affair with Mr. Langton before she was with Alan. He then went to Vietnam, and she didn't see him again until he was on her operating table. She recognized him then, but still did the surgery and post-op treatment anyway up until he died. The Quartermaine's sit together and talk, and Jason gets upset that all they ever talk about is the trial. He picks up the newspaper and says, "well congratulations, Mother, you made the papers!" She picks up the paper in horror and sees the news about her affair splashed all over the headlines. Jason is angry and he argues with Monica and storms out. He doesn't understand why she's treating him like a child, and not telling him about everything sooner. AJ and Jason spar some, and Jason is sarcastic about Monica being pure. AJ tells him to get a grip that both Alan and Monica have had affairs -- if they hadn't, Jason wouldn't even be here. Alan and Monica come in, and Monica tries to make nice with Jason. He's still furious that she told the rest of the world about her affair before she told him. Alan blames AJ for badmouthing Monica (he hadn't though -- he'd been defending her). The teens are at the hospital, and Robin offers to cook them all dinner at her house. Karen declines, but everyone else agrees. Karen and Jason get into a small argument. At Robin's house, Jody and Robin joke around. Robin asks Jody if her hair is ok, and she says it looks great & Jason is sure to notice. Robin says he won't. At that time, Jody smells something...Robin realizes it's the lasagne burning. Just then, Jason and Carl walk in, and Carl comments that it's BBQ'd lasagne. Jason asks Robin if she did something different to her hair. She's happy he noticed, and says she put it up. He comments that he likes her hair better down. She's hurt by the comment, but turns her back to cover it. Jason and Carl make fun of the burned lasagne, and Robin is trying not to get upset. At dinner, Jason says he's signing up for a college class. Robin says she is, too. Jason comments that he "didn't think kids her age could take those classes." Robin looks a bit hurt and embarrassed, and then there's a knock at the door. It's Karen. Jason gets it, and Karen reveals that she's been fired. Jason, AJ, and Alan are at the sentencing hearing for Monica. AJ says that Quartermaine's never lose. It's revealed while Bobbie's on the stand that Monica and Mr. Langton had a baby together 25 years ago -- a little girl named Dawn. Jason is upset in the court room and storms out, Monica looks sick. Jason is upset and confronts Monica. He says that Monica taught them to never lie -- not even about the little things. And then she goes and lies about big things. He storms off. Alan tries to comfort Monica. Jason goes to Kelly's and sits at the counter. Jagger is cleaning the counter, and Jason orders a root beer. All of a sudden Karen comes from the back wearing an apron. She's apparently working at Kelly's now. Jason tells her maybe one night she'll be free to go out. Karen says maybe. Jagger watches on jealously. Jason tells Karen that she's "really making him work for this." She asks "what?" and he point blank asks, "Karen, will you go out with me?" She declines for the moment, and he asks her why she doesn't just say no and get it over with. AJ comes in with Nikki, and AJ is drunk. Jason yells at him, and Ruby kicks AJ out. Jason takes him home, where AJ is stumbling around. They're going up the stairs, and Monica overhears them talking. She sees AJ drunk and overhears that Nikki is AJ's girlfriend. Alan is shaving in his office, and Jason comes in. Jason says he knows he didn't come home last night, and notes that he and Monica aren't speaking anymore. Alan says he's not going to trial today, because he needs a break -- and so does Jason. They agree to go to the park, take a walk, and feed the ducks. The following scenes between Alan and Jason are really touching. Scene cuts to them in the park and they reminisce about when Jason used to play baseball. Scott Baldwin is all decked out in a baseball uniform (and hat). He's coaching the little boys on the team, and Jason and Alan watch. Alan comes over to talk to Scotty. It's a really cute scene as they sing the Star Spangled Banner and the little boys take their hats off. Bill is watching, and starts laughing when he realizes that all of the little boys have their hair cut like Scotty. The baseball game continues, and Jason and Alan talk in the stands. Alan apologizes for not being home more often and missing Jason's baseball games. Jason tells him he forgives him, and he understands that medicine is a demanding career. Jason wants to know why it's ok for Alan to be angry at Monica, but he can't be. He calls Alan "Pop," and puts his hand on his shoulder to comfort him. Bill makes a comment that Scotty needs to spend more time with the kids on the field than in the barber shop. Mac and Robin are eating at Kelly's, and Jason shows up and says hi to Karen. Jason sits down with Robin and Mac leaves so the two can hang out together. Jason offers to give Robin a ride home, and Mac tells him that's fine so long as he doesn't get her home late. Jagger comes over to their table a long time later, and says "I thought you all would've been gone by now." he hands Jason the bill. Jason realize how late it is, and tells Robin to call Mac so he's not waiting at the front door with a baseball bat. Robin laughs and takes off to call. Jason talks to Karen as she's preparing to leave Kelly's. Karen asks if AJ made it home ok (because she'd seen him drunk). He says yes, and she says that she knows how hard it is being around people who drink so much. He asks how she became such an expert on the subject. They flirt for a bit (he calls her "cute" and she says that he wouldn't think so if he saw her cleaning dishes in the back, he disagrees), and Robin comes back and says that her Uncle Mac isn't home. Jason says it's the perfect time to get her home then, and they leave. Robin picks up the phone at the teen hotline, and it's about the prom. Apparently, most of the recent questions have been about the prom. Karen picks up the phone and it's a call about drinking on prom night. She recommends he get a limo or a designated driver. Jason wants to try to get the kids to get designated drivers. He wants to prevent drinkers from driving. Carl jokingly suggests they puncture all of the tires and offers to be a "designated puncturer." Karen is worried about her finals. Robin tells her to go study and she'll cover for her, but Karen declines. Jason offers to use the Quartermaine van to bring people home from the prom (he'd be the designated driver). He and Karen flirt a bit. AJ is hung over, and Jason tells him to clean up. Monica wants Jason to go to the hearing, but he doesn't want to go. The case is dismissed for Monica, and the Q's all hug and celebrate. Jason is still upset with Monica. Monica remarks that she won the case, but she may have lost her family. Jason and Karen meet at Kelly's for a date. Jason says she can decide where he picks her up and drops her off, but he gets to decide what happens in between. She agrees. Jagger watches from the shadows obviously jealous. The teens meet at the hotline, and Karen tells him she had the most amazing time. Robin overhears, and is jealous. Karen and Jason talk some more about what a wonderful time they had. Jason starts to ask personal questions, and asks about Karen's father. Apparently, he split when she was younger. Jason wants to meet her Mom, but she declines. He persists, and she says he'll meet her sometime. Karen and Jason are at Kelly's, and Jagger comes over to take their order. He tells Karen that she couldn't stay away even on her day off. She smiles. Jason orders an expensive meal, and Karen says she can't afford it. Jason says "don't worry, I'll take care of it." Jagger sarcastically repeats what he says, "yeah, don't worry about it. He can take care of it, ok?" He walks off. Jason asks "what's with him?" After they've eaten, Jason walks Karen to the bus stop. Right before they leave though, Jason is a smart aleck to Jagger. Karen genuinely thanks Jagger for waiting on them, and it appears she has feelings for him. AJ orders a bus ticket to see Nikki and tells Jason to tell Monica. Monica walks in and overhears what's going on. All three of them argue. AJ continues to defend Nikki. He refuses to break up with her. AJ and Jason fight and Monica gets in between them and breaks it up. They continue to yell. AJ says he's not deserting Monica, but he's not deserting Nikki either. He leaves to go see Nikki. Jason tries to go after him, but Monica stops him. Jagger and Karen are working at Kelly's. He comes up behind her and tickles her. She is busy slamming dishes on the counter. He teasingly tells her if she keeps slamming them, she's going to have to pay for them. Karen snaps at him. He asks her how she avoids things by asking so many questions. Jagger tells Karen that she can't stay mad at him forever, but she says that he obviosuly doesn't know her, because she can. He says they didn't get caught, so why is she upset? "Does that make it ok for you?" she retorts. "What if we did get caught? Goodbye school, goodbye future, hello jail." He tells her that no one is going to send her to jail for a joyride. Karen tells him that taking that motorcycle was wrong. Jagger responds back that she knew it wasn't his bike, but she still couldn't help herself from wanting to ride on the back of the bike with him. He says that's why she's really upset, because she couldn't stop herself from being with him. She says he's a jerk, calls him trouble, and says she doesn't need that now. They argue, and Jason walks in. Jason asks if she's ok, and she says everything is fine. He asks if Jagger is giving her a hard time, and she says no, that as far as she's concerned Jagger doesn't even exist. She storms out of Kelly's, and Jason gives Jagger a hard stare. Later at Kelly's, Jason is sitting at the counter while Karen works. He's talking about going to see the first concert of the year, and how it's sold out. Karen mentions that she'd wanted to see it. Jason asks her if he had tickets, would she have gone with him. She says maybe. Jagger watches in the background. Jason surprises Karen with tickets to the concert, and she agrees to go. They joke around, and he offers a limo to the concert and dinner. Jagger is very jealous. The teen hotline group is together at the office again, and Jody suggests that the younger people team up with the upperclassmen. Dr. Hardy pairs them up, but not how they were wanting. Jody was wanting Robin to get paired with Jason, but she wound up being paired with Carl. She tells Robin she tried, and Robin thanks her, but is obviously disappointed. Jody comes back from taking a drunk couple home from the prom, and she talks about how disgusting it was when they started vomiting everywhere. Jason and Robin are manning the phones, and Robin hangs up after finishing the call. Jason asked what the caller's problem was, and Robin tells him it was about a girl who liked a guy and he didn't ask her to the prom. Jason comments that it must be hard liking someone when they don't even know you exist. Robin looks down, sadly, realizing she's in the same situation as the girl on the phone. Karen talks to someone on the phone and says she can't understand the caller because they're slurring their words. Jason and Karen take off to go pick the caller up and give them a ride home in 20 minutes. They don't realize it's a set up. Jason and Karen are in an alley and out of nowhere they're surrounded by some guys. All of a sudden they're jumped. They start pushing Jason around and punching him until he's knocked out. They grab Karen and she is screaming. Jagger is in the alley smoking a cigarette and sees what's going on. The four guys are trying to take Karen away to rape her, but all of a sudden Jagger starts attacking the guys. Karen goes to help Jason. Jagger takes out a couple of the the guys, but is overwhelmed by the last two. Jason gets up, helps take them out, and kicks butt as Jagger now slumps to the ground. Karen checks on Jagger and Jason. Jagger limps off, and Jason thanks him for helping them. Jagger goes around the corner to smoke another cigarette and lean his head against a wall. Dr. Hardy does a drawing to see who will go on the Jack Moffett radio show to promote the teen hotline. Karen and Jason win and Robin is obviously sad. Jason and Karen will now go on the air, live, to take teen hotline calls. Robin and Jody are sitting at Kelly's and ask Jagger to turn on the radio so they can hear Karen and Jason's calls. He runs over and turns the radio on. Jagger listens to them on the radio, and is jealous. Karen and Jason are in the studio taking the calls. Jack Moffett tells them to hang around the studio and he'll give them more air time. Jason invites Karen to go to a wedding with him and she accepts. He smiles, and she puts her hand on his arm. Early Jason DVD #2 Big Bear Island Adventure 1992 - 4 hours *Note: Nikki was the daughter of the man that fathered Dawn, Monica's (deceased) daughter. The guy, I think he was a politician, he did not know Dawn ever existed and by the time he and Monica reunited and she told him, Dawn had already died. The guy had heart problems and Monica was his doctor and when he died Nikki was some how under the belief that Monica was negligible in his death, and was threatening her, when it was proven that Monica had nothing to do with his death and that Nikki was broke she played on Monica's sympathy and she let her move into the mansion. This dvd begins as Jason plays some music at the radio station and it airs to a music montage. Alan hires Jagger to work on his boat. More conflict between Jason/AJ/Alan over Nikki. Tracy christens her son, Dillon, at the Q's. Karen is Jason's date to the party. Jagger is in the boat house working as Jason & Karen walk down to the dock. Karen's mother (decked out as white trash) shows up at the Q's, drinks heavily, and acts like a drunken floosy. She flirst with Steve Hardy, embarasses him. Monica & Lila make their excuses to get away from her. Tracy is not so kind and asks who let her in and what street corner she has been working! Karen is mortified to walk in and find her mother there and runs out. Next Monica is notified that AJ and Nikki have been in a car accident. Jagger (without a shirt) is talking to Karen down at the boat house. Jason finds them and tells Karen about the accident and he has to leave. Jason sits by an unconscious AJ's side in the hospital, he loves his brother despite all their conflicts. He tells Robin about the accident. He says "sometimes I think I would be better off losing my memory'! (I swear!). AJ regains consciousness. Jason goes to see Karen at Kelly's. She tells she is sorry for her mother's behavior and she realizes now she will never fit in with the Q's in his world and she doesn't want to see him anymore. Jagger lurks in the background taking this all in. Karen has a fantasy of marrying Jason, set to music. 4th of July - Karen meets Jason at the newly opened pier (obviously having changed her mind about not seeing him again). Jason invites Karen to take out the newly repaired boat. Jason & Karen arrive at the boat (this is the start of the location scenes at Big Bear Lake). Jagger is below, hears them arrive, gets up suddenly, hits his head on the overhead bulk and knocks himself out. He wakes up after they have taken off, just in time to see Jason kissing Karen. Jason accuses Jagger of stowing away and trying to steal the boat. They start fighting till Karen breaks it up. The boat breaks down, and a huge storm suddenly hits. Jagger is washed overboard by a huge wave but saved by jason. They wind up trying to swim for shore. They are separated in the dark. Next am, Jagger & Jason wake up on the shore but Karen is nowhere in site. They find her life vest floating in the water and split up to find her. Jagger finds a waterlogged Karen down the beach. He holds her tenderly as Jason arrives. She jumps up to hug Jason and starts crying as Jagger walks off alone. Back home, Alan and Monica worry about Jason's safety. Scott and Rhonda (Karen's mom) show up at the Q's looking for Karen. They realize both kids are missing as well as the boat. Alan calls Sean Donnelly with the missing person report. Jagger is ticked when Jason tells him that he didn't tell his folds he was taking the boat out so they wouldn't be looking for them. Jagger and Jason go head to head over who should be in control. Karen interrupts them and tells them to cut the macho act and work together for survival. They create an SOS on the beach. Jason has created a spear and is trying to catch a fish. Karen uses Jason's shirt to catch another fish. They have a lean to shelter and a fire. Bobbie reads in the paper about an escaped murderer and his convict brother, Cal. The convicts make their way to the area of where the kids are. Karen showers in a waterfall and then goes skinny dipping in a pond as one of the convicts watches her. He waits until she dresses to sneak up behind her and surprise her. He tries to get her to come with him but she doesn't want to leave her friends. He suggests that she shouldn't take a shower alone, that her friends should have stayed with her. She is freaked that he was watching her. He comes onto her and she hits him with a rock and takes off running. Jagger hears her screaming and takes off running towards her. Jason is back at camp and he also hears her screams and runs to help as well. Cal catches her and tries to rape her, she fights him off, screaming the whole time. Jagger fights his fear of heights and vertigo to climb to her rescue. Cal knows Jagger and calls him his enemy and pulls a gun on him. Jagger jumps him, and they fight. Cal appears to be winning as Jagger is leaning over the cliff, Karen pulls Cal off of Jagger but he pushes her away. Jason arrives and he grabs the guy and pulls him off of Jagger, Jason and Cal fight, Jagger and Cal fight, then Jason and convict fight and Jason punches the guy and sends him flying off the cliff. The trio are stunned as they watch the figure lying motionless below. Back at camp, Jason comforts the traumatized Karen. The next morning, Jagger returns to tell them that the convict is gone and his body is no longer laying there. They take a rowboat and head onto the lake. Sean, Alan, and AJ are out on a boat searching for the lake. The Coast Guard radios Sean and tells them the have completed a thorough search and are calling it off. AJ insists that there are miles of coastline that they could have washed up on. Sean points out that the aerial search has not found the boat and it must have sunk. Sean says that if the ship sunk for them to survive the hurricane and be able to swim to shore is remote and seems like he is giving up hope. AJ refuses to give up and insists they keep searching, he is the one who spots the trio in their rowboat. They all share a happy reunion and Sean wants to hear all about their adventure. The gang have already decided not to say anything about Cal until they get their stories straight. They reach the dock and the relieved moms are there to great their children, Monica for Jason, and Karen's mom, as Jagger watches sadly not having anyone eagerly awaiting for him to return home (Stone isn't on the show till the following year). Jagger overhears a cop updating Sean about the lack of progress in finding the escaped convicts. Jason arrives home to a heroes greeting. That night they all have flashbacks, nightmares about the fight with Cal. The next day, Robin brings Jason chocolate cookies to say welcome home. He is in a hurry and says thanks but rushes out leaving a dissapointed Robin. They call each other and meet to discuss this new threat, and wind up back at the Quartermaine jaccuzi. This storyline goes for awhile but I haven't done all of the write ups for it yet. They are blackmailed by Cal's brother, Joe, and Jason steals his grandfather's coins to pay the blackmail. As they meet the blackmailer, they are shocked to discover that Cal is alive! He pulls a gun on them and promises to make them pay. His brother urges him to grab the money so they can get out of there. Cal grabs Karen and beings kissing her, just as Sean and the police come in just in the nick of time. Cal holds the gun on Karen and warns Sean that he will kill her. Karen bites him and Jason and Jagger jump him as a police officer shoots at Cal. Jagger gets in the way and is shot in the arm as Karen screams, turns out to be a superficial wound. Cal is taken into custody, but Joe gets away. Afterwards the trio spill their story about how Cal tried to rape Karen, they only acted to protect her, and Cal fell off the cliff and they thought he was killed. They tell Sean that Karen wanted to come forward with the truth but they talked her out of it. They were worried that since Jagger knew Cal and had a criminal record that no one would believe them. Brenda arrives in town (Julia's sister) and she comes to Jason's birthday party with Julia. Brenda meets Jason but Jagger is the one who catches her eye. Karen is Jason's girlfriend at this time, though she is obviously attracted to Jagger. When Brenda whirls into town and goes after Jagger, it makes Karen nuts! Jagger finally confronts Karen after they kissed and tells her she can deny it all she wants, to go be with Jason but she is only kidding herself.
