Lorenzo
Alcazar #2 October 14, 2003 - January 16, 2004 - 8 hours - Part 1 of
write up
The plane lands and the pilot tells them that they need to evacuate the plane.
Lorenzo checks on the status of the plane and tries to cover his tracks to
ensure that the fuel leak does not lead back to him. On the ground, Sonny tells
Carly that she needs to go home alone. She tells him that they are both fine and
Lily's warning did not come true. He tells her that it came too close, since he
was supposed to be on that plane by himself. He refuses to put Carly in
jeopardy. He tells her that he is going to file for divorce and walks away. She
calls for him and Lorenzo appears.
Marcella writes a goodbye letter to Lorenzo. She tells him
that it would be best if Sonny never sees Lily again. Sonny thanks the pilot for saving them. He asks
him if it is possible that the plane was tampered with and the pilot says that
it is possible. Sonny asks him to examine the plane himself and let him know
what he finds. Carly asks Lorenzo what he is doing there. He tells her that he
keeps an eye on her. She tells him that he needs to leave her alone. As she is
walking away, he tells her that he thanks God that she is alive.
When Alcazar returns home, he discovers the note from Marcella and demands that
Faith tell him where to find Marcella. However, Faith insists that, since
Marcella was with Lorenzo, then Marcella's whereabouts should have been
Lorenzo's responsibility. Meanwhile, Marcella goes into Kelly's for some coffee
and spots Dillon, trying to catch up on his homework. When Dillon's back is
turned, Marcella grabs Dillon's cell phone. However, before Marcella can make a
call, Dillon catches up to her and asks to have his cell phone back. In the
meantime, Alcazar orders Faith to find "Lily" and bring her back to
play her part in continuing to "haunt" Sonny!
Dillon allows Marcella to use his phone to make arrangements to leave town.
Marcella is disappointed when she realizes that the air line will only hold a
ticket for her if she puts the cost on a credit card! Marcella asks Dillon to
put the ticket on his credit card, promising to pay Dillon back in cash. But
Dillon declares that he, also, has no credit card and suggests that Marcella
take a train, because trains leave town frequently and are not so likely to turn
their noses up at cash. After Marcella leaves, Alcazar spots Dillon! Marcella
ducks out of sight before Lorenzo sees her and eavesdrops as Lorenzo tries to
persuade Dillon to help him search for "a friend," and flashes a
photograph of "Lily." While Dillon tries to stall Alcazar by asking
questions about why Lorenzo is searching for "his friend," Georgie
shows up and coldly reminds Lorenzo that Dillon is, after all, a high school
student with other things to do, besides run errands for Alcazar! Alcazar gets
the hint and apologizes to Dillon for trying to rope Dillon into the job of
searching for Alcazar's "missing friend!" After Lorenzo leaves,
Georgie blasts Dillon for chatting with Alcazar, but Dillon protests that he had
no intention of accepting Alcazar's job, but did not think it was wise to offend
a powerful man by refusing to speak with him! But Dillon thanks Georgie for
looking out for him. Sonny's bodyguard, Johnny, reports to Alcazar that Sonny
bought Carly a house and is making arrangements for Carly to live away from
Sonny! Later, Lorenzo takes possession of a unique jeweled pendant, which
Alcazar declares to the gem dealer is a gift for a unique woman!
"Lily" a.k.a. Marcella arrives at Sonny's penthouse and is just about
to knock on Carly's door when someone grabs her and covers her mouth. He hides
her around the corner. Carly hears the knock and thinks it is Johnny and calls
for him to come in. When there is no answer, Carly goes and opens the door after
yelling up to Michael that she will be across the hall at Jason's. She opens the
door and calls to Johnny but there is no one she can see in the hallway. She
goes across the hall to Jason and Courtney's place. Carly asks Jason if he just
came over and knocked on the door. Jason goes and checks it out. Johnny goes
into Sonny's penthouse and places an envelope on the mantel with Sonny's name on
the front. He takes off his gloves and leaves the penthouse just as Jason comes
out of his apartment. He asks what Johnny was doing. Johnny tells him he was
just checking to make sure everything was safe. Jason notices that Johnny
appears a little nervous about something. He lets him go do his business.
Alcazar takes Marcella back to the park and tells her she needs to finish the
job he paid her for by going to the cemetery and that she needs to warn Sonny
that he needs to stay away from Carly to protect her from more danger. Marcella
doesn't want to work for him anymore but she agrees to do this for him. Sonny
sees the envelope on the mantel. He reads the letter, from "Lily"
talking about how she knew he would someday tell her he loved her if he had had
a chance to.
Carly and Alcazar meet and talk. Alcazar offers to help her make Sonny jealous.
She tells him he should go back to Florence, and find someone to love because he
is lonely. He tells her she would only know that if she was lonely too. She
tells him she is happily married and that she has no room in her life for him.
She asks him to stop doing what he is doing or she will end up hating him. He
hands her a jeweler's box. She opens it and finds a necklace inside. She hands
it back to him and suggests he find someone else special to give it to someday.
Alcazar tells her he got it for her. Jason shows up and asks what Alcazar wants.
Alcazar makes a remark about how he tells her what to do and treats her with
disrespect just like Sonny. Jason tells him to leave. Carly tells Jason that she
did nothing with Alcazar and was just talking to him. Jason tells her he
believes her that nothing happened but that Sonny won't understand. Carly cries
and tells him that Sonny keeps pushing her away and that he is hurting her and
she doesn't know how to stop him. Jason comforts her. He tells her that Sonny is
just scared right now and that he will come around soon. He tells her he is
still investigating this whole "Lily" thing and is getting close to
figuring it all out. He tells her to be patient and wait Sonny out. She doesn't
think she can wait much longer for Sonny. He takes her home.
Sonny goes off to Alcazar's apartment to see him. Alcazar is there as well as
Marcella, a.k.a. "Lily", who tells Alcazar that she told Sonny that he
is putting Carly in further danger by being near her but that she isn't sure if
Sonny is buying it since she doesn't know what are in those letters by Lily. He
tells her she did what he wanted her to do. Sonny knocks on the door after the
bodyguards search him for weapons. Marcella hides in the other room. Sonny tells
Alcazar that he is through with him playing mind games with him and that Faith
is working with him and that Alcazar is a gambler like his father and that he
has overplayed his hand this time and will pay. Alcazar tells Sonny that Carly
met with him because of how he treats her and gloats about it. Sonny leaves.
Marcella warns Alcazar that Sonny meant something when he said he overplayed his
hand this time and worries that Sonny doesn't buy the scheme anymore. Alcazar
tells her not to worry and Sonny will leave his wife and then will realize it
when it is too late what he did and by then Carly will be with him.
Jason goes to some alley near the warehouse and witnesses one of Alcazar's men
hand Johnny, Sonny's bodyguard a package of money, thanking him for doing a good
job for him. Jason waits until Alcazar's man leaves, and comes up behind Johnny
while he is looking at the money. Jason confronts him about it. Johnny's face
whitens when he sees Jason. Jason asks him why he betrayed Sonny and asks him if
he was the one who let the woman in to Sonny's place to pretend to be Lily.
Johnny gets really nervous and tries to explain that he needed the money because
he got in too deep with gambling debts and didn't' know what to do. Jason isn't
interested in his excuses and demands to know what he knows about Alcazar's
scheme against Sonny.
Carly has had enough of her husband's paranoia and walks out on him. Later,
while checking out the house that Sonny bought, Carly falls down the stairs.
Carly lies unconscious at the foot of the stairs in her new home. Carly drags
her body across the floor of the new house. The front door opens and Courtney
comes in and finds her on the floor. She helps her up and tells her she is going
to take her to the hospital. Carly tells her it probably isn't safe for her to
move anymore and that she hurts all over her body. Courtney stands with her and
tries to get her to the door. Carly tells her that she is afraid to move right
now and Courtney brings her over to the couch to lie down on. Courtney turns on
a radio she finds and gets some blankets for Carly. The radio announcer informs
them that the bridge is down and that many roads have been closed because of the
storm. Carly tells her to leave and get help for her. She tells her that she can
stay here and wait since her water hasn't broken yet. Courtney is afraid to
leave her alone but reluctantly leaves to go get medical help and find Sonny.
Carly panics when her water does break and she is all alone. She hopes that
someone comes and helps her soon.
Sonny and Jason have located Marcella and escort her back to the penthouse. They
question her about Alcazar's plans. She tells them that Alcazar hired her to
pretend to be Lily's ghost so Sonny would focus on her and go crazy and that
would give Alcazar a chance to get Carly for himself. She admits to all of it.
Alcazar shows up at Sonny's place and points a gun at Sonny. Sonny had tried to
reach Carly on her cell phone but got a no signal response from the operator.
Alcazar accuses Sonny of hurting Carly and hiding her somewhere as punishment
for talking to him in the park. Sonny accuses Alcazar of taking her himself and
lets him know he is on to his scheme with "Lily." Alcazar still points
the gun on Sonny. Alcazar is startled by the thunder and lightening that cracks
near the window where he is standing near. This gives Sonny a moment to get his
gun from his jacket nearby and the two men are in a showdown with guns pointing
at each other. Sonny dares him to make a move now. Sonny and Alcazar point guns
at each other and dare each other to shoot one another. The lightening causes
the power to go out at the moment and both shoot at each other. Sonny manages to
get just a knick on his arm. Alcazar manages to take off before Sonny can go
after him.
Courtney on her cellphone but gets no answer from her since she is laying
unconscious on the ground. A dark figure comes over and grabs the phone and
turns it off as he hears Jason asking frantically for Courtney to answer him. He
leans down and checks Courtney's pulse. Alcazar shows up and leans down to wake
Courtney up. Courtney starts to come to and says Carly's name. Alcazar tells her
he needs to know where Carly is and if she is hurt. Courtney sees that it is
Alcazar and tells him to go away. He tells her that he would never harm Carly
and that he needs to help her if she is hurt. Courtney tells him where Carly is
and that she is hurt. Alcazar tells Capelli to stay with Courtney. Capelli tells
him he needs to call the paramedics and Jason to let them know about Courtney
since he has to be a cop right now. Alcazar takes off.
Carly starts to have a breakdown when her labor pains become closer together and
curses the storm for delaying the arrival of Sonny. She is surprised to see
Alcazar show up. Alcazar had a hell of a time getting there since his tires got
stuck in mud. He tells her that he is calling for a helicopter to pick them up
and bring her to the hospital. She tells him there is no time to get her to the
hospital and that her labor pains are 3 minutes apart now and she is going to
have the baby here in the new house.
Alcazar tries to get Carly to let him get her out of the house and to the
hospital. She tells him that she is in labor already and won't make it to the
hospital and that he will have to help her deliver her baby. He agrees to help
her. Carly tells him that she loves her husband and that Sonny didn't try to
hurt her and that she came to the house on her own. She tells him that she loves
Sonny and always will and that she knew when she married him what kind of man he
was and what business he was in but didn't care. Alcazar tells her he knows she
loves Sonny and that she wants to be with him but that he loves her too. She
makes him promise to make sure that the baby gets to the hospital since he has a
whole in his heart and needs medical attention. She tells him that she
hemorrhaged when she was in labor for Michael and was unconscious when they did
a c-section on her. She tells him that if he loves her he will make sure that
the baby gets to the hospital even if it means she doesn't make it. Alcazar
promises to do what she asked. She starts to feel pressure down below and feels
that she needs to push now. Alcazar tells her she is bleeding but doesn't know
how much but that he can see the baby's head.
Sonny almost gets into an accident but manages to get there. He gets to the
front door and hears Carly scream. He goes inside and draws his gun out. He sees
Alcazar and shoots him in the back. Alcazar drops to the floor and crawls out
the door and lays outside alone in the rain bleeding. Sonny goes to Carly and
sees that she is close to giving birth to their son. He tells her to keep
pushing. Carly seems very weak and pale but she manages to push enough to for
the baby to be born. Sonny takes the baby out and shows her their son is alive
and okay Carly looks at the baby and than turns her head and is unconscious.
Sonny sees a bullet wound in the side of her head and realizes that the bullet
passed through Lorenzo and hit Carly in the temple.
Marcella encounters a seriously hurt Alcazar in the forest, helps him back to
the house and calls for an ambulance. Believing himself somewhat responsible for
Carly's state, Alcazar refuses to press charges against Sonny. Carly is not only
in a coma, but that she may have sustained permanent brain damage. As Bobbie
confides to Courtney that Bobbie believes Carly would be better off with anyone
else except Sonny, Lorenzo walks by and overhears Bobbie's comments. After
Bobbie and Courtney leave, Lorenzo goes into Carly's room and assures Carly that
she will soon be waking up to a wonderful life. (Note: Tamara does a wonderful
job of capturing Sarah's portrayal of a younger Carly circa 1996, complete with
gum popping, hairdo, and sassy attitude!) After Lorenzo leaves, Carly dreams
that she just arrived in town and met Lorenzo before Carly began her destructive
plan to punish Bobbie for giving Carly up for adoption when Carly was born. When
Sonny returns to the Hospital to visit Carly, Sonny is surprised to find Alcazar
once again in Carly's room! Sonny accuses Lorenzo of trying to get Sonny in his
debt by choosing not to press charges against Sonny for the shooting. But
Lorenzo argues that Lorenzo is only taking responsibility for his actions and
challenges Sonny to do the same. Alcazar declares that Carly was alone in the
house and fell because Sonny drove Carly away!
Marcella visits Lorenzo and suggests that Lorenzo should leave town. But Lorenzo
insists that, when Carly recovers, there is hope that Carly will choose to be
with Lorenzo! At GH, Alcazar waits around hoping for Sonny to leave Carly's
bedside so he can see her. Marcella tells him that Sonny probably won't leave
Carly's side anytime soon and that Alcazar should go back to his room and rest.
Alcazar refuses to rest until he sees Carly alone. Sonny sits by Carly's
bedside. Carly continues to dream about what her life would have been like if
she hadn't ever been involved with Sonny and married him. She dreams that she is
working at Kelly's and is dating Alcazar, who is a history professor and not a
drug and arms dealer. She has a friendly chat with "Lily" and meets
Sonny as an objective observer. Lorenzo Alcazar shows up at Kelly's with flowers
in her dream and tells her he got tenure at Port Charles University. She is very
happy and tells "Lily" about her "new boyfriend" and that he
is the most popular professor at PCU and that he now reached tenure which means
they can never fire him. She had dinner with Alcazar in her dream at his new
place and they make love afterwards. Tony keeps checking on her brain activity
and informs Sonny that she is still showing some brain activity with her
dreaming but is concerned about her still being in a coma. Sonny asks him if she
will wake up soon. Tony tells him that the longer Carly remains unconscious the
bigger the risk that she won't ever wake up.
Alcazar visits Carly in her room when he sees that Sonny isn't there. He sits
and holds her hands and asks her to wake up for her boys so she can raise and
protect them. He also tells her he needs her and that he wants the chance to
have a life with her if he can. Carly still dreams about Alcazar and then
surprises him when she squeezes his hand. Alcazar comes out and tells the nurse
that he thinks Carly is starting to come back from her coma. Sonny overhears him
and he and Jason inquire about what he is doing in her hospital room. Tony comes
over and checks out Carly. He tells Sonny that she may or may not be dreaming
and that when she squeezed Alcazar's hand, it was just a reflex. Tony takes
Carly's hand and asks her to squeeze it if she can hear him. He gets no
response. He warns them that Carly may have more brain damage than they think
and won't know the extent of the damage to her brain until she wakes up, which
she may never do. Sonny tells Alcazar to stay away from his wife's room. Alcazar
tells him that he would never hurt Carly and that he should be stopping him from
being near her after what he did.
Carly continues to dream about having a life with Alcazar and marrying him. A
tear comes down her face after she dreams about marrying Alcazar. Later as Sonny
beeches Carly to wake up, Alcazar lingers just outside the doorway, and after
hearing Sonny giving Carly permission to buy anything she wants, he turns away
in disgust. In Carly's happy dreamland, Carly surprises Alcazar with the news of
her pregnancy. They ecstatically hug while Sonny pulls a role-reversal and lurks
in the shadows. Alcazar has taken his place by Carly and bemoans the fact that
he's in love with another man's wife. Little does he know that, in Carly's
dreams, she's his wife and Sonny is about to come between them. Because in happy
dreamland, Carly is now very pregnant and gets stuck in the hospital elevator
with Sonny. Sonny's claustrophobia kicks in, and Carly distracts him by letting
him feel her baby kick. The elevator gets unstuck and she walks right into
Alcazar's waiting (and worried) arms. Alcazar reminds her that Sonny is not a
safe man to be around, while Sonny lurks some more and tells Jason to put a 24/7
tail on Carly. He manfully states his intention to have her.
Carly dreams of being happy with Lorenzo, while Sonny and Jason plot to detain
Lorenzo so Sonny can spend some time alone with Carly. Lorenzo makes a generous
donation to the hospital in exchange for Alcazar's Doctor losing the paperwork,
releasing Lorenzo from the Hospital. While Sonny argues with Bobbie, Alcazar
slips into Carly's room for a visit. When Lorenzo hears Sonny coming in the
hall, Alcazar overhears Alan informing Sonny that Sonny needs to begin making
arrangements for a long-term care facility for Carly. When Sonny returns to
Carly's room, Alcazar suddenly appears and appeals to Sonny to keep Carly at the
hospital. When Sonny demands to know what Alcazar is doing in his wife's room
again, Lorenzo insists that his visits are helping Carly. When Sonny scoffs at
the notion, Lorenzo pointedly asks Sonny if Sonny would rather Carly wake up
thanks to Alcazar or not wake up at all! Meanwhile, Carly dreams that Lorenzo
arrives at Jake's and is angry when he finds Carly shooting pool with Sonny!
Lorenzo reports that he was late picking his wife up because the tires on his
car were slashed and his cell phone vanished probably all due to Sonny. Lorenzo
warns Carly that Sonny is the same kind of criminal as Lorenzo's brother, Luis
and that Carly needs to keep her distance from the mob boss!
Sonny orders Alcazar out of Carly's room. Carly dreams that she plays pool with
Sonny at Jake's. Her husband Alcazar shows up at Jake's late to meet her and is
angry to see her playing pool with Sonny. Later she dreams that she is home with
Alcazar and overhears him put out a hit on Sonny. She dreams about being on the
docks and stepping in front of Jason and Sonny when shots are fired at them. She
later dreams that Alcazar confronts her about stepping in front of Sonny like
that and how she could have gotten killed. She convinces him in her dream to
stop the hit he had put out on Sonny using his family. In the dream he agrees to
stop the hit after she reassures him she has no interest in Sonny. Sonny is
dismayed when Tony comes in the room and informs him that for some reason Carly
has been responding neurologically to Alcazar's visits to her room and that he
should let him continue visiting her. Alcazar tells Sonny that he isn't going to
stop seeing her and that Sonny was the one who shot her not him.
Alcazar visits Carly while Sonny is away from the room. Carly dreams about how
Sonny finds away to get her alone with him and detain Alcazar from meeting her
at the Cellar for dinner. He dances with her and kisses her. Carly also dreams
that Alcazar warns Sonny to stay away from his wife. Sonny refuses to. In
another dream, Carly goes into labor at the Cellar after dancing with Sonny and
he pays to have the club open for just them to dance in. Sonny returns to find
Alcazar in her room and that her heart rate increased suddenly. He asks him what
he did to his wife. Carly continues to dream that she is in labor when Sonny
helps her deliver her baby by Alcazar and Alcazar comes in to the club and
shoots his gun at Sonny. Carly wakes up from her coma but doesn't speak. Sonny
and Alcazar watch her open her eyes. Sonny tries to kick Alcazar out of her room
but he doesn't move.
Carly opens her eyes but Tony tells Sonny that is involuntary eye movement due
to emotional stress. While Sonny talks to Carly she continues to have dreams
about Alcazar shooting him and closes her eyes again much to Sonny's dismay.
Alcazar still watches Carly from outside her room. Carly dreams that she and
Lorenzo reconcile and mend the rift caused by Sonny's death. Carly dreams that
she and Lorenzo live happily to a ripe old age, and see their daughter off to
college, while their younger son and daughter play happily in the living room.
As Bobbie, Jason, Alan and Sonny continue to discuss the prospect of sending
Carly to a long-term care facility, Alcazar returns to Carly's room. As Carly
dreams that she is an old woman, sitting beside her dying husband in the
hospital, Lorenzo slips in to Carly's room and speaks to her. As he speaks,
Carly suddenly wakes up and is thrilled when she sees Lorenzo standing beside
her, alive and well!
Carly tells Lorenzo that she thought he was gone forever and that she is
relieved he is alive. He is happy she is awake and puts his head down on her
chest in relief. Sonny and Jason walk in and see Alcazar laying near her. Sonny
realizes she is awake. Alcazar leaves the room. Jason tells her that she scared
everyone to death when she didn't wake up right away. Jason goes to get a
doctor. Sonny sits with her but she looks at him rather apprehensively. He tells
her about how he came about accidentally shooting her when he came upon her
screaming and Alcazar was right there and he thought he was hurting her and shot
him. Later, Carly tells Bobbie that she dreamed a lot when she was unconscious
and that it felt like she had lived for 30 years in her dreams and not just a
minute like Bobbie thought she probably felt like. While Sonny is talking to
Alan about how her medical condition Alcazar sneaks in to see her. Sonny comes
back in the room when he sees Alcazar go in her room. He goes in the room and
grabs Alcazar and tries to physically throw him out of her room. She asks him to
stop and not hurt Alcazar and vise versa. Later, Alcazar goes in to see Carly
while Sonny is out of the room. He tells her that her pulse spiked whenever he
was in the room and the doctors told them that she was dreaming a lot based on
her brain patterns. He guesses that she was dreaming about them a lot. She asks
him how he knew and he tells her. He tells her that she must have felt his love
for her when she was in the coma and that helped bring her back. He takes her
hand to comfort her.
Carly wakes up to find Alcazar sitting by her bedside. She seems disoriented
about where she is. Alcazar tells her he won't leave her bedside. She tells him
that he should leave since she is married. He tells her that he was the one she
responded to when she was in a coma, not Sonny. She gets scared about his
presence and asks him to leave and not to come back. He leaves. He goes home to
find his niece Sage sitting at a chair. He tells her to pack her things and that
she needs to head to the airport. She tells him she hates the boarding school
she is going to when he tells her the headmistress will meet her at the airport.
She pleads with him to enroll her at school in Port Charles. He is against it at
first since he tells her she needs to be somewhere safe where she can be under
supervision. She pleads with him to let her stay in Port Charles and promises to
be on her best behavior and help clean the place for him to earn her keep. He
agrees to let her stay.
Faith comes over to Alcazar's uninvited. She mistakes Sage as a young hooker
that he must have hired for his pleasure. He corrects her about Sage and how she
is his niece. He tells Faith that he isn't interested in doing business with her
right now and that he has more important things on his mind right now. She asks
him if he is still pining away for Carly. He tells her to leave. She tells him
that she will just have to run her little empire without him right now.
Dillon goes to see Alcazar at his apartment. He tells Alcazar that he needs a
job working for him so he can afford his own place to live so he can get out
from under his mother's control. Alcazar tells him he doesn't have a job for him
right now but Dillon is adamant about doing anything for Alcazar to get paid
well enough to live on his own. Alcazar tells him he does have a job for him
after all. He tells him that his niece Sage is going to be living with him now
and that he wants him to watch her while he is working. Sage comes downstairs.
Dillon is floored when he realizes who Sage is related to. He reacts in
disbelief when he realizes he has to keep an eye on her. He asks him if it is
true that he has been hired to baby-sit Sage. Sage just smiles in amusement when
Alcazar nods that it is true.
Carly calls Alcazar after Sonny leaves. She tells him she was wrong about what
she said to him before and asks him to come see her. He comes to see her and
Carly admits that she doesn't know what to do about how she feels about him.
Carly admits to Alcazar that he was in the dreams she had while she was in a
coma. He admits to her that he sat by her during this time. He then tells Carly
that he is in love with her and that whatever the dreams were he hopes they were
beautiful. Jason advises Sonny not to push Carly to feel things as he remembers
what he felt like after he had his brain injury. He warns Sonny that by pushing
Carly to feel things for him he may in turn be pushing her farther away. He
tells him to let Carly get better in her own time.
Later Sonny visits Carly and brings her candy. Sonny brings up the children and
is disturbed over the strange looks Carly has as he talks about their family and
how he has left the business so that they can have a real life together. She
tells Sonny not to feel guilty over what happened and explains that all her
feelings are jumbled up in her head. At the same time Alcazar approaches Monica
to ask what Carly's full chance of recovery is and upsets Monica when he
compares Carly to what happened to Jason in the past. Sonny tries to jag Carly's
memory with a night of dancing but she has a flashback of her dream of dancing
with Alcazar. Later while Courtney is visiting her, Carly admits to her about
her feelings for Alcazar while Alcazar is sitting elsewhere overhearing the
conversation from a bug her has planted in her flowers in her room. Unaware that
Alcazar is listening to her every word via a bug he planted, Carly takes her
confession to Courtney one step further by saying she has feelings for Alcazar.
Carly adds that she will keep up the ruse of loving Sonny until she gets back
her feelings for him. Upset, she then heads to the chapel for a one-on-one with
God, where Alcazar pulls her into a kiss... which she doesn't resist.
Alcazar shows up at GH to visit Carly. He finds her room is dark and she isn't
in her room and the bed is made up. He asks a nurse if Carly is having tests
done right now. The nurse informs him that Carly is not having tests and that
she is supposed to be released tomorrow. He asks her if Carly knows that. The
nurse tells him she knows. Alcazar realizes Carly has run off scared. Carly
shows up on the docks, with some duffel bags in her hands as if she is going
away somewhere. Carly returns to the penthouse and walks around the penthouse.
However, what she starts picturing in her mind is what the penthouse meant to
her in her mind, the place she lived in with Alcazar in her dreams. She hears
Courtney and Michael coming so she hides out near the balcony. Michael has
another card for her and he asks Courtney if Carly will be excited to see him
when she comes home later. Courtney reassures him that Carly will be happy to be
home and that she just needs to time to start feeling better.
Marcella comes to see Alcazar. Alcazar tells her she must leave and that it is
important that Carly not see her when she comes. Marcella tells him that Sonny
already knows the truth so what does it matter if Carly sees her. Alcazar
insists that Carly shouldn't see her. She tells him the real reason he doesn't
want Carly to see her is because he doesn't want Carly to know what he did to
Sonny by using her. Alcazar tells her to leave. Carly comes to his apartment and
knocks on the door. Alcazar tells Marcella that Carly came just like he knew she
would. Carly is poised to tell Alcazar that she has feelings for him but is
stopped in her tracks when Marcella strolls in. Realizing that Alcazar was using
the Lily look alike to destroy Sonny, Carly hauls off and slaps him across the
face. Carly heads back home, where she promises Sonny that she will do
everything in her power to repair her marriage. Injured from the explosion on
Carly continues to fight her dreams of Alcazar. While on the island with Sonny,
she begins to dream about Sonny, but it quickly turns into a dream of Alcazar,
and she wakes in tears. Hearing her cries, Sonny runs to Carly and asks her what
is wrong. Sonny tries to comfort Carly, but tells her that he feels helpless
when he doesn't know what she's feeling. Carly finally tells him about her
dreams, which seem more real than her own life. She feels disconnected from her
life, from her marriage, even from her children. She remembers their life
together before the coma, but admits that she doesn't feel the emotions. The
dreams are what feel real. In the dreams, her life was inverted. Alcazar was a
loving man, a college professor who she had married
when she first arrived in Port Charles. And it was Sonny who wanted to break up
her marriage. She did have feelings for Sonny, even in the dream. "The way
you have feelings for Alcazar now, even though you don't want to?" Sonny
asks her, and Carly can't deny it. She loves the Alcazar from the dream. Michael
and Morgan interrupt the conversation, and Carly is distracted for a moment.
When she looks up, Sonny is gone. Knowing that he must be on his way back to
Port Charles to kill Alcazar, she phones Jason and begs him to stop Sonny. Then
she flies after Sonny. On the plane, she attempts to get in touch with Sonny,
and pours out her heart to his machine, telling him that she is committed to
their marriage and their children. She just wants him to wait for her.
Alcazar begins making plans to leave Port Charles, including telling an unhappy
Sage that she must go back to school, because he can no longer offer her a home.
Faith shows up and offers to work for him, moving his product locally while he
is gone. Alcazar refuses, since he still hates her for her threats against
Carly. When Alcazar leaves his building, Sonny is waiting for him, and shoots.
Carly comes running up to stop him. Moments later, the police show up. Alcazar,
apparently unhurt, tells Sonny that Carly warned him that Sonny was coming.
Sonny makes a run for it and almost gets run over by Sam. He pulls her out of
her car and holds her as a hostage and takes off. After Sonny has let Sam go and
he makes his way back to Carly at the penthouse, he walks in just as she begins
to tell Alcazar that she might be in love with him. Carly orders Alcazar to
leave, and she and Sonny begin to argue. Carly swears that she did not call the
police to set him up, but that she only called Alcazar so that Sonny wouldn't
commit murder.
Upon learning that Sonny is in his penthouse, Brian tells Scott that he is going
into the building to try and negotiate with him. Scott tells Capelli that he can
take Sonny out, and Alcazar reminds Scott that Carly is up there too. Capelli,
Brian, Lucky, and the other officers ride up the elevator to the penthouse
floor, and Capelli orders everyone to shoot Sonny if they get the chance.
Unarmed, Sonny walks out of his apartment into the hallway in front of the
police and they all take aim. Unbeknownst to the officers, Jason is behind them
and grabs Capelli's arm as he shoots at Sonny, causing him to miss. Brian's
shot, however, hits Sonny in the arm, causing him to run back into his penthouse
to Carly. Jason is handcuffed for police interference and taken away.
Carly meets with Alcazar and informs Alcazar that he will never see Carly again
if Lorenzo testifies against Sonny. Carly is surprised when Alcazar agrees not
to testify against Sonny, but warns Carly that if Sonny gets off the hook this
time, it will only mean that Sonny will probably make another attempt on
Lorenzo's life soon. Carly shows up to talk to Jason. Jason tells her not to
worry about him right now and the main thing to do is to help Sonny get out of
this mess he is in. Carly explains to Jason that Alcazar will drop the charges
against Sonny. Jason asks him what is in it for him and is suspicious. He tells
him that he wants things to be on equal footing between him and Sonny but admits
he is doing it because Carly asked him to. Jason doesn't see how Alcazar can
help since there were a few cops around as witnesses to Sonny shooting him and
taking Sam hostage.
Alcazar explains that by dropping the charges, Sonny's lawyers can charge that
the police tried to entrap him. Alcazar leaves Carly to talk to Jason. Alcazar
tells Ric that he is dropping all charges against Sonny and that there shouldn't
be a trial. Ric disagrees with him and says he can still subpoena him and use
him as a hostile witness. Alcazar warns him about that and makes a remark about
Elizabeth as a way to subtly threaten him. Jason comes down hard on Carly for
asking Alcazar for help knowing how Sonny will feel about that when he finds
out. He tells her that Sonny will never allow Alcazar to do him any favors.
Carly insists she is just using Alcazar to keep Sonny out of prison so he can
help her raise their children. She ends up going to the hospital to tell Sonny
what she did.
Alcazar shows up at Sonny's room while they are talking. Sonny tells Alcazar
that he won't allow him to help him and that he will take his chances on his
own. Dara comes to see him later and advises him to take the plea bargain of
serving five years in prison. He tells her that he can't go to prison because he
has too many enemies there who will kill him. Dara tells him she thinks he
should take it but promises to find some other strategy instead. Carly talks to
Alcazar later out near the waiting area. She tells him that she wants Sonny to
stay out of prison and that her children need their father around. He tells her
that he still plans to drop the charges against Sonny but that he will wait
until trial to help get him exonerated when he takes the stand and that Sonny
won't know about it until it is too late.
Carly has snuck Sonny out of the hospital and taken him to France. Alcazar
discovers Sonny and Carly's whereabouts and shows up in their room in France
while they are out walking. He witnesses them discussing their problems, and
upon seeing them hug, he assumes they are having a close moment and reconnecting
to each other. Back in the room, Carly sees Alcazar outside the window and is
startled by his presence. Outside, an angry Alcazar calls Scott and promises to
testify against Sonny. Sonny surprises the courtroom when he shows up as the
trial is about to reconvene. The judge allows him to come and sit down at the
defense table. Scott calls up Alcazar as his next witness. He asks him about who
called him to warn him that Sonny may be on his way to kill him. Alcazar informs
the court that Carly called him because she loves him and was trying to protect
him.
Carly comes into the courtroom as Alcazar is testifying. Carly glares at Alcazar
for testifying against Sonny after he had told her he wouldn't help the
prosecution. Alcazar also mentions that Sonny had already shot his wife in the
head and had shot him once before. Sonny just listens and shakes his head.
Justus cross-examines Alcazar about what he had done to Carly, who he claims he
is in love with. He brings up how he had kidnapped her once and that he paid for
some woman he hired to look identical to Sonny's late wife Lily to haunt Sonny
to get him away from Carly so he could have her. Alcazar doesn't deny any of the
allegations Justus accuses him of but manages to paint a picture of Sonny as a
violent man.
Carly gets up on the stand next. Scott goes after her aggressively on the stand
for warning Alcazar about Sonny coming after him. She admits she called Alcazar
to warn him but not because she loved him but because she was afraid for her
husband and what he may do. Scott asks her if she loves Alcazar and that is why
she warned him. She tells him she doesn't know how she feels about Alcazar.
Scott tries to paint Carly as a slut in court to discredit her testimony when
she accuses the cops and Alcazar of trying to entrap Sonny by showing up. Sonny
stands up when Scott crosses the line and tries to tarnish her character. He
warns Scott to back off. The judge bangs his gavel and warns Justus to calm down
his client, who was very close to being held in contempt of court. He surprises
Scott when he tells him he crossed the line and warns him to back off. Scott
backs off and smiles since he got Sonny to react aggressively in court. Ric gets
up and calls Sonny to the stand. Sonny told Justus when he first showed up that
he wasn't going to just sit back and not testify.
Sonny gets on the stand. Ric questions him about his real business. Sonny smiles
smugly at Ric and announces he owns an imported coffee warehouse. He questions
him about his rivalry with Alcazar as being about business. Sonny tells him that
Alcazar has nothing to do with his business and admits to trying to kill Alcazar
because he went after his wife. Justus gets up to redirect questions for Sonny's
defense. He asks Sonny to tell him about what Alcazar did to make him feel that
his wife's life was threatened in some way. Sonny tells the court that Alcazar
went after his wife and went so far as to kidnap her and then hire someone to
pretend to be his late wife. Scott asks Ric why he isn't objecting at all. Ric
tells him to let him finish. Justus tells the judge that the defense rests after
Sonny testifies. Justus' closing statement tries to make Sonny look like he was
just protecting his family from Alcazar. The judge orders everyone to leave and
return the next morning after they deliberate and come up with a verdict. Sonny
is taken away in handcuffs. Alcazar runs into Capelli, the cop that is on his
payroll and tells him that if Sonny is acquitted because of jury tampering and
walks out of this courtroom tomorrow, he orders him to shoot and kill Sonny
right there at the courthouse. Brian, the new cop, watches them speaking and
gets suspicious. Alcazar watches Carly from the doorway. Carly turns around
after Sonny leaves in handcuffs. She looks at him and glares.
Alcazar talks with Capelli
outside the courtroom and orders him to take Sonny out if he is acquitted and
walks out and suspects Sonny may have tampered with the jury if he is acquitted.
Capelli, the dirty cop assures him that he will get it right this time. Alcazar
tells him to make sure he doesn't miss this time. Brian approaches Capelli and
makes a remark about how close he seems to be with Alcazar. The jury is called
into the room and the verdict is about to be read. The jury foreman reads the
verdict as not guilty on counts of attempted murder and kidnapping. Scott is
stunned and gets upset and asks to know what the voting numbers were from the
jury. When it is revealed that the jury voted not guilty unanimously, Scott asks
the judge to put aside the jury's verdict and to give Sonny a guilty verdict.
The judge denies Scott's request and tells Scott that the trial was fair and the
jury's verdict was fair. Scott asks Ric how Sonny was found not guilty when he
even admitted to kidnapping Sam and for shooting Alcazar. Ric tells him that
Sonny was persuasive with the jury and got them on his side. Scott storms off
furiously.
Detective Capelli waits in the hallway and gets ready to shoot Sonny as he comes
out of the courtroom with Carly. As Capelli is taking his gun out of his ankle
holster to shoot Sonny, Jason grabs him from behind and throws him against the
wall to stop him. Brian is right there and demands to know who hired him.
Capelli denies he is working for anyone other than the police and that Brian
can't prove he did anything. Brian realizes he doesn't have enough proof to haul
him in and lets him go. Jason can't believe that Brian is allowing Capelli to go
free. Brian tells him that he doesn't have any proof to have Capelli arrested
and that Jason must know that in his line of business since he gets away with a
lot as well. Brian does go to the police station. He informs Scott that he has
reason to believe that Capelli is working for Alcazar and tried to kill Sonny
today.
Alcazar shows up outside the celebration at Kelly's. Jason grabs Alcazar before
he goes inside Kelly's. He tells him to stay away from Carly and Sonny. He also
tells him that he knows that Capelli works for him and tried to shoot Sonny
today outside the courtroom. He suggests that Alcazar stay away from Carly and
that he is now on to what he is trying to do and that he shouldn't rely on
Capelli to do the job since he hasn't succeeded so far. Alcazar tells him that
he doesn't have to kill Sonny since he already has Carly's love and that is all
he needs. Carly comes out of Kelly's and overhears Alcazar say that she loves
him. She tells him that he is wrong and that she doesn't love him and that what
was in her dream wasn't real and that with everything he has done to her and
Sonny she can't love him. She tells Alcazar that she may not feel the way she
use to about Sonny right now but she knows that in time she will love him again
and plans to stay with him. She starts to have a sharp pain in her head and then
passes out. Alcazar goes to reach for her but Sonny comes outside and pushes
Alcazar away from her. Jason calls 911, and they take Carly away in an
ambulance. Behind at Kelly's, Courtney tells Alcazar that he doesn't love Carly,
he's just obsessed. At the hospital, Monica informs Sonny that Carly's tests
appear normal, and her collapse seems unrelated to her prior head injury. Carly
wakes up and tells Sonny that she had a dream about him. She describes her dream
and how she loved him in it.
Alcazar attempts to pump Bobbie for information on Carly, but she brushes him
off. After she reminds him that nothing means more to Carly than her family,
Alcazar unsuccessfully tries to find out what's going on from Carly's doctor.
He's clearly frustrated when Faith arrives at his apartment to break the news of
Sonny and Carly's reunion. She further mentions that Carly had a breakthrough at
the hospital, and has regained all of her suppressed feelings for her husband
and family. Alcazar tries to spin Faith's news as her attempt to manipulate him
into gong after Sonny for her, but she reminds him that he is the one who really
needs to get rid of Sonny. Back home, Carly and Sonny begin to make love.
Alcazar's voice in the hall interrupts their happy moment. Sonny is all too
pleased, however, to drag Alcazar into the apartment where he is shocked to see
Carly on the couch and clearly in a close moment with her husband. Sonny and
Carly both inform the intruding Lorenzo that Carly and Sonny are an item and
Alcazar needs to get out of Carly's life for good. Alcazar remains unconvinced,
until Carly herself declares that she has fully recovered her memory of her life
with Sonny and plans to stay with her husband. Lorenzo coldly warns Carly that
it will not be long before Sonny hurts her again then walks out.
When Lorenzo returns to his apartment, Sage tries to jolly her uncle into a
Holiday mood. However, they are interrupted when Faith arrives and tries to
persuade Alcazar to join her in a plan to finally defeat Sonny. But Alcazar
coldly informs Faith that he has his own plans, and they do not include any more
business dealings with Faith! Faith warns Lorenzo that Sonny will eventually end
up succeeding in killing Alcazar and Carly would never love Lorenzo even if he
threw his life away for Carly! Alcazar angrily orders Faith to get out. Lorenzo
sadly remembers the tender moments he once shared with Carly. Alcazar has his
men find out where Carly is when Sonny's goon Max shows up with a gun and points
it at Alcazar when he opens the door. Max tells him he has a message to give him
from Sonny and Alcazar lets him in. Max keeps the gun on him and tells him to
stay away from Carly when he asks him where she is and if she had another
relapse. Max won't tell him where she is and keeps the gun pointed at him.
Alcazar is surprised when Sage hits Max over the head with her hairdryer.
Alcazar tells her she shouldn't have interfered with his business by knocking
Max out when he wasn't going to kill him. Sage tells him she didn't know that
and promises to stay out of it from now on. He tells her to go find Dillon and
leave him alone. She suggests to him that maybe he should stay away from Carly
if that is what Max warned him to do. Alcazar tells her he can't walk away from
this right now. Alcazar shows up at the christening and watches from the
doorway. Alcazar watches Carly and Sonny and their family and returns home in a
bad mood. He calls Faith over to talk to her. He warns her to never threaten his
niece again or he will have her eliminated. He tells her he has product to move
through the pier and needs her cooperation. He still warns her that she isn't as
powerful as she thinks and that he can find a way to remove her as an obstacle
if she doesn't cooperate. Sage returns home later to find her suitcases out in
the living room all packed up. She asks him why they are out. He tells her she
is returning to boarding school for her own safety. She tells him she hates that
school and wants to stay in Port Charles. She tells him that she wanted to leave
Port Charles and he persuaded her to stick around and he can't go back on his
word.
At the casino, Skye gives a toast to the casino and to the guests for coming to
the opening. Alcazar shows up and sees Carly and Sonny together. He goes onto
the pier and assembles his men to go and raid the casino. He instructs Capelli,
the dirty cop, not to make any mistakes this time. They show up with guns and
fire them to get everyone's attention and rob the place. Sonny goes over to
conceal himself near the bar and Carly motions to him that she is going to go on
deck to get help while no one is looking. She gets onto the deck and pulls out
her cellphone to call for help. Alcazar in a ski mask grabs her from behind and
shuts off her phone. He spins her around and kisses her. She asks him who he is
and why he kissed her (as other robbers take the valuables of the people at the
casino as a distraction). As the men run out, a gunshot is fired, and Sonny,
Carly, and Scott run to see who was hit. No one recognizes the dead man, and
Carly assumes he was the one who grabbed and kissed her, until Alcazar emerges
from the corner and says he was the one who killed the man. She is immediately
suspicious. Scott accuses Sonny of being behind the robbery, but Sonny is also
suspicious of Alcazar.
Back at his apartment, Alcazar meets with Capelli to look over all the stolen
goods, but Alcazar declares that he did it all for one kiss. Later, Scott
arrives and proves to be Alcazar's accomplice, although he is irritated at his
motives. Back on the boat, Carly recounts the events of the masked man, and she
and Sonny discuss the possibility of Alcazar's guilt. Suddenly, she doubles
over, overcome by head pain. Carly's medical tests come back normal, but she
continues to have head pain and flashes of light with visions. She overhears
Cameron tell Sonny that although her symptoms might get worse; she is healthy
and can leave the hospital. He says the best they can do is to wait and see how
things continue. Back at the penthouse, she continues to have erotic flashes,
and begins to hastily seduce Sonny. After Sonny is gone, Carly has another
flash, but this time she sees the face of the man in her vision and is
distraught when she realizes that it's not Sonny, but Alcazar.
Sage and Lorenzo Alcazar walk through the park. They talk about Dillon and Carly
and wanting someone who doesn't love them back. Alcazar tells Sage she needs to
be more patient and let things happen on their own. Carly continues to have
flashes of white light and erotic dreams. She also sees Alcazar in them and
keeps reliving that kiss she got from the masked man at the casino. She calls
Jason and makes it sound like an emergency. Jason comes rushing over thinking
Carly is in danger. Carly apologizes for calling him like that and overreacting.
Jason presses her to tell him what is going on and what she is so afraid of.
Carly asks him if he ever saw flashes of white light and have intense dreams
along with them when he had his coma. Jason tells her he never experienced those
things after his coma. Carly starts to get worried but won't tell Jason exactly
what is wrong but that she is afraid that the love she just started feeling for
Sonny again will go away and that these flashes may become more frequent and she
will lose feelings again. Jason encourages her to tell Sonny what is going on
with her when she talks to him on the phone. She calls him but doesn't tell him
the truth. He asks her why she didn't tell Sonny and she tells him that Sonny
seemed preoccupied with work and she didn't want him to worry about it. She
tells Jason that the doctor checked her out and told her that there is nothing
wrong with her physically.
Carly goes to the park to get some fresh air. She sees another white flash of
light after her head starts to hurt and sees another erotic dream involving
Alcazar and her. She cries out in pain and asks for God to stop it from
happening anymore. She starts to stumble while walking away and almost falls.
Alcazar grabs her arm to keep her from falling and offers to help her. She tells
him to go away and leave her alone. When he grabs her arm and keeps it there she
remembers the kiss she got from the masked man at the casino. She guesses that
he is the one who kissed her at the casino wearing a ski mask. He admits he was
the masked man who kissed her. He tells her he still loves her and wants her to
be with him. Jason watches from the bushes and wonders what is going on. Unable
to hold back, Alcazar kisses Carly. She pulls away and tells him that she
doesn't want him. He refuses to believe her and says that she needs to stop
fighting her feelings. Carly pushes away from him and leaves. Witnessing the
entire encounter, but unable to hear their actual conversation, Jason angrily
follows Carly back to the penthouse where he confronts her on having an affair
with Alcazar. She denies an affair and agonizes over her inability to control
her head and desires. Believing her, Jason tells her that she must admit what is
going on to Sonny so that he can help her, and especially so that he doesn't
find out another way. She refuses, and makes her case to Jason, who understands.
Realizing that telling Sonny would be a bad idea after all, Jason agrees to not
say anything, but decides to take matters into his own hands and go after
Alcazar himself.
Jason kidnaps Alcazar and holds him in the panic room. Jason tells him that
he'll never get to Carly again, but Alcazar merely baits Jason about Courtney.
Jason attacks Alcazar, but leaves him alive for Sonny. After Jason leaves,
Alcazar offers to pay the guard to tell Carly where he's being held. Carly
continues to have pain and flashes of Alcazar. She goes to the Haunted Star to
reflect on his kiss and try to get him out of her head. Faith begins to taunt
her about her relationships with both Sonny and Alcazar, and Carly punches her.
Sage comes upon Carly later, frantic about her missing uncle. Carly brushes her
off, but returns to the penthouse to confront Jason on Alcazar's whereabouts.
She warns him that she will never be able to resolve her issues with Alcazar if
he's dead. They continue to fight, but Jason refuses to tell Carly where he's
holding Alcazar.
As Jason brings dinner to Alcazar in the Panic Room, Jason blasts Lorenzo for
his obsession with Carly, However, Lorenzo argues that, even if Jason and Sonny
succeeded in killing him, Lorenzo will always have a hold on Carly's heart! At
the Penthouse, Carly remains haunted by memories of Lorenzo and confides to a
sympathetic Courtney that Jason is holding Alcazar prisoner and Carly is afraid
that Jason plans to murder Lorenzo. Courtney insists that she wants to help and
Carly suggests that Courtney convince Jason that killing Lorenzo will not solve
the problems that have entangled their lives. Jason suddenly declares that
Lorenzo is free to go but must go through Jason first. Lorenzo philosophically
observes that, if Carly could survive being held prisoner in the Panic Room,
Alcazar will be able to survive as well. After Courtney leaves the Penthouse, an
agitated Carly leaves a message on Sonny's phone but is interrupted when Sage
tries to push her way past the guard and into the penthouse with a gun. After
Sage is disarmed, Sage warns Carly that Carly will be the one responsible if her
Uncle Lorenzo dies on Sonny's orders. Carly sends the young woman away with the
reminder that Lorenzo would not want his niece to be taking matters into her own
hands. After Sage leaves, Carly drinks and continues to be haunted by memories
of Lorenzo. Suddenly, Carly takes Sage's gun and goes out, alone, to search for
Lorenzo.
Lorenzo is thrilled when Carly suddenly walks in to the Panic Room. He sees that
she is holding his gun and asks if she is returning it to him so he can escape
the room. She tells him she didn't come there to rescue him this time and points
his gun at him. She tells him that he has ruined her life and that she can't get
images of him out of her head and blames him. She tells him that Sage came to
see her and pointed his gun at her and was going to shoot her to blame her for
what happened to him. She tells him that she can't have him invading her
thoughts anymore and that she needs to live her life with Sonny and her
children. She tells Alcazar that he can either leave town permanently or she
will have to kill him herself. He tells her that he loves her and that he gave
her the space she needed to decide what she wanted. She tells him she doesn't
want his kind of love and keeps the gun on him.
Sage runs into Jason on the pier and demands to know if he or Sonny killed her
uncle. Jason guesses who she is and sees that Courtney is around the corner
watching them. He assures Sage that to his knowledge Alcazar is still alive and
offers to walk her home so she gets there safely. Jason finds Carly holding the
gun on Alcazar in Ric's old panic room. He tells Carly not to shoot Alcazar and
gets her to give him the gun slowly. He shuts Alcazar in the panic room while he
escorts Carly out of the room. He reminds Carly that coming there and almost
shooting Alcazar would not help her children or Sonny's lives if she was
arrested or convicted of murder. He asks her if she came to kill Alcazar or to
rescue him after she tells him that she gave Alcazar a choice to either leave
town or be shot. Carly agrees to stay away from Alcazar and go home. While she
is home she talks to Michael after he has a nightmare and calms him down. She
tells him to think about happy thoughts not scary, creepy things to upset him.
Later she has a drink and thinks about Alcazar again and dreams of a scenario
where she kisses Alcazar passionately instead of shooting him.
Carly can't take seeing anymore erotic visions of her and Alcazar and goes to
see Cameron for help. She confides in him about the erotic images she has of
Alcazar and how she could never tell Sonny about them since Alcazar is his worse
enemy. She asks Cameron if there are any drugs out there that could help her
stop having these erotic fantasies. Cameron tells her that there isn't some
magic pill to stop them and that what she is suffering from is her brain's way
of reconnecting her thoughts with her feelings and suggests she go into therapy.
She reluctantly agrees to go to therapy. Carly goes home but still can't get
Alcazar out of her head. She goes to Ric's old house and picks up the remote
that opens the panic room. She feels horrible for considering what she plans to
do. She opens up the panic room. She finds Alcazar laying on a cot and sleeping.
She watches him and is about to leave when he asks her to stay. She comes over
and tells him that she went to see her doctor for help and that he told her that
the images she is having of him will go away eventually and that the images she
is having of him don't mean she is in love with him. Alcazar tells her that he
loves her.
Carly tells him about her erotic dreams of him and how she doesn't want to have
them and that she is supposed to love her husband not him. He tells her that if
she wants to leave and hate him for the rest of her life he will accept that.
She tells him the problem is that she can't hate him even though it would be
easier if she did. She approaches him and finally gives in and begins to kiss
Alcazar. Their passion ignites and they begin to undress and make love in the
panic room. Alcazar suddenly stops her, realizing that she isn't acting out of
love, but rather from her brain damage. He refuses to take advantage of her
injury, and she angrily storms out of the panic room. She is about to leave when
she sees Jason entering the house, and she hides. She leaves as he goes into the
panic room, but doesn't realize that he sees her walk out of the front door and
assumes the worst.
Jason later meets her at the penthouse and confronts her on visiting Alcazar,
but she lies to him and denies it. She goes upstairs, only to return to the
living room in time to overhear Jason on the phone, trying to talk to Sonny
about her. Jason tells Carly that he tried to call Sonny to tell him that Carly
slept with Alcazar. She angrily denies it, but he tells her that he saw her
leaving the panic room. Carly continues to deny sleeping with Alcazar, but Jason
won't believe her. He tells her that she's betraying everyone she loves,
including herself, and she tearfully agrees. She tells him what happened at the
panic room, and admits that while she didn't sleep with him, it was Alcazar who
stopped it from happening. She says that she can't control her thoughts and
emotions, but Jason points out that she can control her actions. She begs him
not to tell Sonny, but he refuses to lie to Sonny, and he walks out. Jason then
goes to the panic room where he tells Alcazar again to stay away from Carly. He
allows him to call Sage and report that he is out of the country on business, so
that she doesn't worry about him. Carly shows up at the panic room, and is
devastated when she finds it empty and assumes Alcazar has been killed. Jason
comes up behind her and reassures her that he only moved him, and Carly breaks
down in his arms and begs him for help.
Accompanied by a real estate agent, Ric and Liz head to their old house to begin
the process of selling it. Liz is prompted to push the button to the panic room,
but Ric stops her. She tells him she needs to see it again for closure, but a
phone call interrupts her before she has a chance, and she then changes her
mind. They leave the house unaware of Alcazar. Sage finds Jason and apologizes
for leaping to the conclusion that Jason had done something to her uncle, just
because Lorenzo had gone missing!! Jason cautions the young woman to stay out of
her uncle's affairs. Carly meets with Cameron and tells him that she needs to be
committed in order to get rid of her fantasies about Alcazar. Cameron tries to
persuade Carly to give up her plan, but Carly refuses to listen. When Carly
returns to the Penthouse, Courtney is relieved to learn that Jason has not yet
murdered Lorenzo. But Courtney is devastated when Carly announces that she is
having herself committed because Carly knows that Jason will report to Sonny
that Carly visited Lorenzo while Jason was keeping the drug lord imprisoned in
the Panic Room of the old Lansing House. Courtney does her best to convince
Carly not to take such a drastic step, but Carly remains adamant.
Carly enjoys some quiet time with Michael, Morgan and Courtney at the Penthouse.
Carly tries to explain to Michael why she is going back to the Hospital, but
Michael begs his mother not to go. Carly tearfully insists that she must go if
she wants to get better. Carly and Cameron arrive at Shady Brook. Cameron again
tries to persuade Carly not to take this drastic step, but Carly insists that
her plan is the only plan that will work. After Dr. Patricia Grimes introduces
herself to Carly and leaves, Dr. Grimes receives a visit from Faith. Later,
Carly has another flashback of being with Lorenzo and confides her fears to Dr.
Grimes. Dr. Grimes prepares an injection for Carly, which Patricia explains will
help Carly remain calm. Carly is dismayed when she sees that her new doctor at
the mental hospital is preparing a syringe of a drug to inject her with. She
tells her that she isn't supposed to be prescribed any medications and that she
is just there for therapy with Dr. Lewis only.
The doctor tells her that it is a mild sedative to help her relax and stop the
dreams and that Dr. Lewis okayed it. Carly doesn't believe her and tells her she
doesn't need any sedatives. The doctor doesn't listen to her and has the nurse
help her hold Carly still so she can inject her with the drug. Faith watches
what is going on through the window in the door. Carly fights to keep the doctor
from injecting her but an orderly comes in and restrains her arms and she is
injected with the drug. One of Faith's men comes over to tell her everything is
all set. She explains to him that she wants Carly to end up with Alcazar and for
Sonny to get angry enough and kill Alcazar or vise-versa so that she will no
longer have any more obstacles and Jason will be too distracted with Carly to
want to try and kill her. It appears that Faith bribed the female doctor into
giving Carly a hallucinatory drug. The doctor allows Faith to enter Carly's room
to talk to her. She tells Faith that Carly is in a pretty receptive mood. Faith
talks to Carly and tells her she is Courtney since Carly calls her that in her
delusional state. Carly starts to see Courtney's face instead of Faith's. Faith
tells Carly that she is in love with Alcazar and belongs to him and that if
anyone tries to stop her from being with Alcazar, they are not her real friend
and she should fight them off. Carly smiles at Faith thinking she is talking to
Courtney.
Jason gets to the mental hospital and asks the nurse if he can see Carly. The
nurse tells him that Carly requested that she not be disturbed by anyone. Jason
gets suspicious and demands to see Carly. Carly's doctor tells him that Carly
isn't seeing any visitors right now. He tells her that he is Carly's
brother-in-law and demands to see her. He ignores her answer and runs over to
find Carly's room. He finds her there and notices she is under some drug and she
is hallucinating when she thinks he is Alcazar. Jason tells her he is going to
get her out of there right now. She lets him pick her up and carry her thinking
he is Alcazar. Jason carries her out of the room while her doctor has security
called to stop him. Jason is heading toward the exit when Cameron shows up and
tells him not to try and take her out. Jason brings her back to her room and
asks Cameron for answers to why Carly was drugged. Cameron tells him that he
never prescribed any drugs for her and didn't really want her to commit herself
to begin with. Jason tells him that either he or the other doctor is lying and
that he is taking Carly out of there. Cameron points to the window in Carly's
room and asks him if he thinks it is a good idea when Jason sees Carly put her
arm out lovingly and talk to herself as if someone is there with her. Carly
hallucinates that Alcazar is there with her and he is telling her to come with
him and not to trust Jason. Jason goes in to see her. A nurse comes in to inject
Carly with another sedative and Jason walks in. Carly smiles at Jason but
hallucinates that Alcazar is there telling her not to trust Jason who is keeping
them apart.
As the nurse tries to inject Carly, Carly stabs Jason with the needle instead
and surprises him as the drug is injected into him. He starts to get weak from
the effects. Carly screams and yells to keep them from holding her in the bed.
She sees Jason laying on the floor and realizes what she did. She runs over to
him and pleads with him not to die on her. Cameron shows up and asks what is
going on. Dr. Grimes comes in and tells Cameron that Carly stabbed Jason with a
needle and accuses him of not notifying her of how severe Carly's condition was
when he admitted her. Cameron finds out what drug was in the syringe meant for
Carly and confronts Dr. Grimes. He asks her why she would give Carly a sedative
with such a high dosage and reminds her that Carly came here voluntarily and had
herself committed. Dr. Grimes tries to cover her culpability by switching the
blame to Cameron for not having a better handle on his patient who definitely
needs to be transferred to Ferncliffe, which is for the criminally insane.
Carly overhears the word Ferncliffe and gets agitated again and says she won't
go there and they can't make her. Cameron tries to assure her that she won't be
going there. He threatens to report Dr. Grimes to the Medical Review Board for
medical misconduct if he finds out she is giving Carly any more drugs without
his consent. Dr. Grimes tries to defend her actions by saying she did what she
thought was in the best interests for Carly and her staff's safety since Carly
did stab her own friend with a needle. Cameron orders the attendants to bring
Jason to one of the empty rooms and prescribes a drug that will act as an
antidote for the drug he received when he was stabbed and that once it wears off
Jason should be fine. Dr. Grimes agrees to let Jason rest somewhere. Cameron
tells everyone to leave him alone with Carly. Carly starts to hallucinate again
and sees Alcazar, who tells her not to trust anyone including Dr. Lewis. When
Cameron goes to touch her she backs away and blames him for what happened to her
and that she won't go to Ferncliffe, which "Alcazar" tells her in her
hallucination the doctors will send her. Cameron tries to reassure her that he
won't let them send her to Ferncliffe. "Alcazar" tells her that she
should tell Cameron she is tired and needs to rest so he will leave her alone
for a while. She tells Cameron she wants to go to sleep. He tells her that is a
good idea and that they will talk tomorrow after the drug wears off.
Faith visits Carly who is drowsy from sleep. Dr. Grimes comes in and injects
another hallucinatory drug into Carly while Faith sits at her bedside. Carly
starts to moan in her sleep after crying out when she is injected again. She
calls Sonny's name out. Faith tells her that Alcazar is the man who loves her
and that Sonny is gone and won't be coming back. Carly tells her that Sonny
loves her and will come back for her. Faith gets annoyed when Carly continues to
call out for Sonny and not Alcazar. Alcazar asks Max to go find Jason and
insists on talking to him. Max just laughs at him and tells him Jason is too
busy. Alcazar tells him that Jason promised to check in on his niece and make
sure she was doing okay. Max just shuts the door and locks it. Alcazar starts to
bang on the door for the guard later. He overhears Sonny's guards talking about
how Jason had to deal with a crisis at the hospital where Carly was committed
and that she went over the edge.
