Ric heard a knock at the door and Lorenzo, Luis Alcazar's brother, introduced himself. He told Ric he was destroying Sonny and offered Ric Sonny's empire. Obviously tempted, Ric saw Elizabeth in a mirror eavesdropping and declined the offer. Sonny is kidnapped. Jason shows up at the place where Sonny is being held. He pulls out his gun and searches the area inside the warehouse. He hears a sound and turns around and points his gun at the "Alcazar" look-alike. Jason is stunned to see him but keeps the gun pointed at him. Jason held Lorenzo at gunpoint and demanded to know where Sonny was. Lorenzo told Jason he had twelve hours to produce the drugs they had hidden and exchange them for Sonny's safe return.

Lorenzo called looking for Ric when he wasn't home. Lorenzo asked Elizabeth to tell Ric that he was giving him another chance to accept his offer. Alcazar visits a jailed Jason and tells him that Sonny is a dead man now that Jason doesn't have the drugs to trade for Sonny's freedom. Jason asks Alcazar to give him twenty-four hours before doing anything to Sonny. Lorenzo Alcazar points a gun at Sonny and announces to Javier that it is time they got rid of their "guest." Before Lorenzo can pull the trigger on Sonny, Jason calls to report that Jason is ready to trade the drugs for Sonny and Lorenzo agrees. Jason arrives at the warehouse and, after Lorenzo turns Sonny over to Jason, Jason hands Lorenzo keys to a van and tells the arms dealer that the drugs are in the van parked outside. However, Sonny accuses Jason of betraying Sonny by making a deal with Alcazar and makes an attempt to grab the keys himself. Jason tells Sonny that Jason did what he had to do and hustles a protesting Sonny out the door. As Jason hurries Sonny away from the building, Alcazar stops to test the drugs to make sure they are uncut. Alcazar is stunned when Scott bursts in with uniformed officers and arrests Lorenzo for possession of narcotics!

Scott has Alcazar arrested on drug charges. Alcazar bribes Scott with a cashier's check for a lot of money if he lets him go. Scott lies and accuses Mac of allowing his men to screw up the case against Alcazar by not following through on the civil rights of Alcazar and ruining the chain of evidence. Ric spiesAt the Grille, Alcazar crashes Jason and Courtney's rehearsal dinner. He congratulates Sonny and Jason on the double cross with the drugs. He doesn't admit that Sonny is right about bribing Scott. He tells Sonny that they will do business together eventually and walks away.

Alcazar and one of his men show up at Ric's house. They knock on the door but there is no answer. They look through the window and see Elizabeth laying on the couch and not moving (Ric has drugged her so he can kidnap Carly and get her in the panic room without Elizabeth knowing). Alcazar breaks into the house and the two of them check for signs of Ric being around. Alcazar goes over and checks Elizabeth's pulse and breathing. He sees no sign of drugs around and his goon doesn't find any bottles around either. Alcazar guesses that she overdosed on something probably and decides to leave her there but puts the phone next to her and dials 911 for her and plan to let Ric know that they came and played hero and saved his wife so they can use it to get him to cooperate later. A 911 operator talks through the phone but there is no answer. The dispatcher talks through the phone and says that help is on its way to her soon. Elizabeth is still unconscious through it all.

At Jason and Courtney's wedding, Carly goes missing. Michael tells them that Carly is gone. Ric takes an unconscious Carly and returns home with her. He sees Liz laying on the couch but doesn't realize that the phone is next to her and the ambulance is on its way. He takes Carly into the panic room and lays her on the cot. Carly wakes up feeling groggy and sees Ric and starts to yell. After speaking with Alcazar, Jason comes to believe that he isn't involved in Carly's disappearance. Alcazar realizes that Ric kidnapped Carly. Alcazar kills Javier before he can tell Sonny where Carly is and collect the reward. It is Alcazar's right-hand man, telling him that he will tell him where Carly is if he gives him the $3 million up front and meets with him. Jason asks him if he has Carly but Alcazar stabs him in the back and kills him before he can say more. Alcazar disconnects the phone. He tells his former goon that he will not allow any of his men to get the reward when he needs to use this kidnapping to his advantage.

Elizabeth walks into the living room. the phone rings and it is Lorenzo Alcazar. He asks her if Ric is home but she tells him he isn't. He asks her if she is doing ok. She tells him she is fine. He tells her that the last time he saw her she was a little indisposed. Elizabeth wonders what he means by that but dismisses it for now. He tells her that he has a matter of mutual interest to discuss with Ric and would like him to call him back when he gets home. Later, Elizabeth mentions Alcazar's phone call and how it disturbed her. Ric tells her that Alcazar probably didn't mean anything by what he said. Elizabeth accepts it. After she leaves, Ric calls Alcazar on the phone. Alcazar asks him to meet with him on the docks. Ric meets him there. At the docks, Ric meets with Alcazar. Lorenzo tells him that he knows that he kidnapped Carly. He blackmails him into working with him or he will tell Sonny what he knows. Ric agrees to work with him and tells him that he isn't concerned about Carly but that it is the baby he cares about. Sonny and Max show up and confront them. Max holds a gun on them and Sonny tells them that he knew it was one of them who kidnapped his wife but he never realized they would be working together. Lorenzo told Sonny he was simply seeking Ric's legal services on retainer. Ric informed Sonny that he had no interest in either Sonny or Lorenzo and just wanted to live his life.

While Jason is searching Ric's place (sure he has Carly), Carly sees him on the monitor and starts pulling on the cords to try to signal Jason. She is electrocuted in the panic room. Later, Ric returns and finds Carly unconscious on the floor. She awoke but was in great pain. Realizing she and the baby could be seriously hurt, Ric picked her up and promised to get her the proper care. Carly awoke in a doctor's office with Ric at her side. Ric told her he would set her free once she saw the doctor. Ric disappeared as the doctor came in to see Carly, but the room was empty. The doctor caught up with Carly in the hallway and immediately recognized her from the newspaper. Her persuaded her to return to the exam room. He told her that she and the baby were fine but needed a shot of vitamins. Carly begged him to call Sonny, and he promised to right after giving her the shot, as she passes out she sees Lorenzo's face standing over her. When she awoke she was back in Ric's secret room, but with Lorenzo. She told Lorenzo that Ric was crazy and that it was in his better interest to return her to Sonny and have Sonny in his debt than form an alliance with a madman. Ric entered the room and asked Carly to eat something, but she refused. The two men exited.

A few days later, Carly was surprised to find Lorenzo in the secret room with her. She tried her best to convince Lorenzo that pairing up with Ric was not a wise move. Lorenzo listened to her but did not back down. Carly advised him that returning her in exchange for running drugs through Sonny's territory would be a smarter move. Lorenzo opened the secret door to leave. Carly, seeing Elizabeth unlocking the front door on the screen, tried to stall Lorenzo, but he managed to slip out before Elizabeth entered the house. Elizabeth demanded to know why Lorenzo was standing in her living room. She asked what business he had with Ric, but Lorenzo only replied by asking when Ric would be home.

Ric is stunned when Lorenzo suddenly barges right into the Panic Room. Ric hustles Lorenzo out into the living room and Lorenzo turns off the monitor so Carly can't hear what they are talking about. Lorenzo reports that the police appear to be off on the wild goose chase that Alcazar set up with strands of Carly's hair. Ric orders Lorenzo to quit showing up at Ric's house unannounced, but Lorenzo refuses to even consider curtailing his movements. Lorenzo quizzes Ric about Faith Roscoe. Ric mentions that both Faith and Sonny have attempted to kill Elizabeth but, as far as Ric knows, that is about all that the two of them would have in common. Listening to Ric talk about Elizabeth, Lorenzo points out that Ric's love for his wife makes Ric vulnerable. Then Lorenzo coldly warns Ric to keep Elizabeth happy because, IF Elizabeth were to become too suspicious about her husband's activities, Lorenzo would regretfully need to "eliminate" Ric's wife!

Dillon pickpockets one of Alcazar's men and grabs the remote for the panic room. Dillon is grabbed by Alcazar and one of his goons outside Kelly's. Alcazar asks him to give him back what belongs to him. Dillon denies he stole anything from him other than a few dollars. Alcazar doesn't believe him and has his goon act rougher with him. Georgie comes out of Kelly's and hands over the little gadget that Dillon had gotten out of his pocket when he stole the money too. She tells him she found it on the floor in the diner and suspects it fell out of his pocket. Alcazar doesn't buy her story either. Dillon tells him that she didn't find it and that she is just covering for him. Alcazar tells him he knows that. He tells his goon to take Dillon with him for a little walk so they can talk. Dillon thinks quickly and acts like Alcazar is the person everyone at school is afraid of and uses his wit to get Alcazar to back off and let him go. Georgie can't believe that Dillon was able to talk Alcazar out of hurting him.

Skye meets with Alcazar in the park. She tells him that she believes that Alexis faked her illness and killed his brother in cold blood. He tells her that he will have to punish Alexis in some way. Skye tells him that she agrees with him. Skye arranges for Alcazar to arrive at the Quartermaines while Alexis is there visiting Kristina. As Alexis is holding Kristina, the doorbell rings. AJ admits Alcazar into the house. Alexis recognizes the voice as sounding like Lorenzo's brother, Louis and turns around and is in shock to see him there. She tells him to leave her alone and stay away from her baby. Ned isn't too happy to see Alcazar either. Lorenzo approaches Alexis and makes a remark about how she should pay for killing his brother. Alexis can't believe that Skye would allow him to enter the house and threaten her and the baby. Alcazar leaves. Faith runs into Alcazar and he tells her that he knows she made a deal with the feds to get her freedom and suggests she make a deal with him instead to get Sonny's territory. Faith tells him she isn't working with the feds and that she and Sonny have mutual interests and have reached an understanding lately. Alcazar still offers to partner with her to get what they both want. Faith turns him down.

Alcazar shows up at Sonny's place and Jason answers the door. Alcazar asks if Sonny is there. Jason tells him he isn't home and what he wants. Alcazar tells him that he knows where Carly is being held. Carly awoke to find Luis Alcazar taking a picture of her. Alcazar ordered Carly not to tell Ric what he was doing, that he had decided he'd rather have Sonny in his debt than Ric. Ric arrived home and told Alcazar that he didn't want him breaking in whenever he felt like it. Ric and Alcazar argued while Jason listened through the bug. Backing up the phony evidence he had planted, Alcazar told Sonny that his associates in Venezuela had spotted Carly getting off a plane. Sonny told Alcazar that if he found Carly and returned her safely, that he would allow Alcazar to run drugs through his territory. Alcazar left, and Sonny told Jason that he would promise anything to get Carly back, even a promise he wouldn't keep.

Alcazar and Ric were fighting at Ric's, with Jason listening in, wondering who the "her" was they were talking about. Ric reminded Alcazar he didn't ask for help. Carly talked to the monitor, urging Alcazar to tell Sonny where she is. In the listening van, Jason had recorded the conversation between Ric and Alcazar and wondered what the noise was after Alcazar left. It was the door to Carly's room opening. Later, he replayed the tapes for Sonny, who refused to believe Ric and Alcazar had been discussing Carly. They listened to the door opening sound, but couldn't identify it. Sonny took the tape to pass to the FBI for analysis. When Alcazar got home, he took out the picture of Carly to look at and called Sonny. Faith answered the phone. She invited him to come over and wait for Sonny to come home. They toasted to close alliances and he accused her of working for the Feds. She played dumb and would only said she was happier there than in jail. When Sonny came home, he ordered Faith upstairs. Alcazar said he had a shipment coming in and with access to Sonny's piers, he'd bring Carly back. Sonny said Carly needed to come home first. They argued and Sonny said he couldn't be sure Alcazar had Carly. Alcazar was suspicious that Sonny didn't want Carly back and assured Sonny he could lead him to her. While he was there, Jason broke into Alcazar's place and found one of the pictures of Carly. Faith showed up at Alcazar's apartment, blaming him for putting Sonny in a bad mood and told him he owes her a night of undivided male attention. He agreed, but only if she gave him some information about Sonny. Ric listened outside the door.

Sonny shows up to see Lorenz and demands to know where the gun runner is hiding Sonny's wife! Lorenzo denies knowing where Carly was when the picture was taken but suggests it could have been snapped in Venezuela. Lorenzo then renews his demands that Sonny let Lorenzo run drugs in Sonny's territory in exchange for Lorenzo's help in finding Carly. As Sonny and Lorenzo argue, Ric suddenly walks in and demands to know what is going on. When Sonny questions Ric showing up just then, Ric covers by complaining that Lorenzo still has not delivered the money promised for the apartment. When Sonny tells Alcazar that Sonny believed that Lorenzo paid Ric in cash for the apartment, Lorenzo covers by telling Sonny that Lorenzo is still waiting for the money to be transferred from one of his off-shore accounts. After Sonny storms away, Ric demands to know why Alcazar was entertaining Faith the previous evening. Alcazar claims that he was just trying to pump Faith for information about Sonny. Lorenzo again warns Ric that Ric is in over his head. Then Lorenzo orders Ric to leave. After Ric leaves, Lorenzo places a call to an operative, telling him: "It is time! Let's get Carly out of there!" When Ric returns home, Carly is surprised to see that Ric has something in a suitcase. Using sophisticated electronic equipment, Ric changes the combination to unlock the Panic Room, but Jason and his surveillance expert continue to listen in as Ric makes the change in the emergency system locks. Ric spots the surveillance van across from his home and, realizing that the van has been left unguarded, Ric investigates with gun drawn. As Ric listens in on the surveillance equipment, Alcazar and his operative arrive at Ric's front door to move Carly. As Carly watches hopefully on the monitor, Alcazar tries his remote control and realizes that his remote no longer opens the Panic Room door!

Ric overhears Alcazar and one of his men inside his home. Carly watches from the monitor and sees Alcazar enter the house with one of his men and try to open the panic room. Alcazar aims his remote gadget at the door but there is no response and the door remains closed. He keeps trying but realizes that Ric did something to stop him from getting to Carly. Carly is deeply disappointed when Alcazar and his goon leave the house. Sonny shows up at Alcazar's place. He accuses him of lying to him about where the picture came from. He tells him that he didn't lie to him and that as far as his contacts told him, Carly is in South America. Sonny tells him that contact is conveniently dead and can't verify his story. Alcazar tells him that he doesn't know where she is and that he would have told him if he knew since he wants to do business with him and wouldn't jeopardize that now. Sonny warns him and leaves. Ric also shows up at Alcazar's and points a gun at him and asks him if he was planning to take Carly and deliver her to Sonny in exchange for Sonny's business. Alcazar tells him that he is in too deep and needs his help. He agrees to continue being partners with Ric. Ric leaves after Alcazar tells him to get rid of the bugs Jason planted at his home. Ric tells him he has a better idea and leaves.

Carly watches her from the monitor in the panic room. Liz goes to get a blanket to lie down on the couch with and notices the cabinet to the bookshelf is open and goes to shut it. She notices a white button attached to the inside of the bookcase. She looks at it and wonders what is for. Carly watches her and urges her to push the button when she realizes what Liz found. Liz pushes the button and is shocked speechless when the panic room door opens and she sees Carly near the doorway thanking her for finally finding her and that Ric kept her there. Liz is immobile and is stunned at the sight of Carly. Elizabeth was stunned when the secret door opened and there stood Carly. Still chained, Carly desperately yelled to Elizabeth, but Elizabeth was frozen with shock. Carly begged her to call 911. Elizabeth picked up the phone and startled to dial, but was suddenly overcome with vertigo and collapsed to the floor. Carly yelled for Elizabeth to toss her the phone. Elizabeth managed to do so just before passing out, but the phone was just out of Carly's reach. Carly struggled and finally managed to reach the phone with an umbrella, but just then Ric entered. He grabbed the phone from Carly's hands and rushed to Elizabeth's side. He demanded to know what Carly had done to Elizabeth. Screaming, Carly told Ric he had hurt Elizabeth with the pills he had secretly been feeding her. She demanded that he let her go before Elizabeth awakes and tells everyone that she saw Carly. Flustered and anger, Ric closed Carly back up in the room and rushed Elizabeth to the hospital.

Faith goes to see Alcazar and tells him that she needs him to support her and that she will spy on Sonny for him in return now that Sonny has spurned her and wants her out of his life now that he believes his wife is still alive. Alcazar asks her who she is working for, the government or Sonny. Faith doesn't have an answer. Faith came on to Alcazar. She offered to feed him information on Sonny, explaining that Sonny had used her and made her feel inferior to Carly. Alcazar was reluctant to believe Faith and insisted that she sleep with him. Faith went along but was clearly uncomfortable.

Ric sits beside Elizabeth's Hospital bed, Ric worries aloud about what will become of Ric now that Elizabeth has seen Carly in the Panic Room. Lorenzo eavesdrops and realizes that Elizabeth is now an unwitting witness to Carly's abduction. Lorenzo enters the room and whispers to Ric that Ric's entire scheme will belied bare when Elizabeth wakes up. Lorenzo reminds Ric that Elizabeth will guess that the only way for Ric's plan to succeed would have been for Ric to kill Carly after the baby was born! Lorenzo suggests that Ric can still have what Ric really wants revenge against Sonny! Lorenzo's plan is for Ric to continue with his scheme and, after Carly is out of the way, offer Sonny a chance to recover his child in exchange for whatever Ric demands in return! When Ric protests that Elizabeth will tell everyone that she saw Carly, Lorenzo suggests that Ric just guarantee that Elizabeth does not wake up. Lorenzo adds that, in Lorenzo's estimation, Ric's supposed 'love' for Ric's wife is secondary in Ric's list of priorities the real goal in Ric's life is to get revenge on Sonny!

Lorenzo informed Jason that he needs access to Sonny's piers in order to ship in his drug supplies. When Jason told Lorenzo that Sonny's against drugs, Lorenzo said that Sonny has no choice. Dillon approached Jason and said he wants nothing to do with the Quartermaines. As a lingering Lorenzo eavesdropped, Dillon asked Jason if he could work for him. Jason offered to give Dillon money, a place of his own and a job but said Dillon would not be working for Sonny. After calling Jason a hypocrite, Dillon said he'd handle things himself.

Carly watches the mysterious intruder in Ric's home through the monitor and wonders who sent him and why. The mysterious intruder works with some electronic equipment similar to what Ric was using to change the frequency's on the secret electronic door. At G. H. , Lorenzo Alcazar visits Elizabeth in her room (when she woke up she didn't immediately remember seeing Carly as she had some short term memory loss). He tells her that Ric has Carly in a secret room in her house. Liz is disturbed by what he tells her but the information triggers her memory and she has flashbacks and remembers seeing Carly in the panic room. She tells the police that Ric kidnapped Carly. Sonny and Jason burst into Ric's secret room, but Carly was gone. All they found was Ric, bleeding from the head and lying on the floor. Sonny picked him up and slammed him against the wall, demanding to know where Carly was. Ric told him that he didn't know, that someone had come in and struck him on the head, and that when he awoke Carly was gone. Ric told Sonny it must be Alcazar as he was the only other person who knew Carly's whereabouts. Garcia and another officer entered and separated Ric and Sonny. Sonny told Garcia to arrest Ric and issue an all-point bulletin for Alcazar and Carly. Ric insisted that he needed to go to the hospital first and get checked out.

Carly awoke on Alcazar's airplane and was furious to learn that he had taken her for leverage against Sonny. Alcazar explained that he had hired a man to break into Ric's house and change the frequency of the secret room's door so that he could access it once again. When Alcazar turned him back, Carly struck him with a fire extinguisher and took his gun. Holding Alcazar at gunpoint, she ordered him to have the pilot turn the plane around. She took his cell phone and called home. Michael answered, and Carly reassured him that they would soon be reunited. Carly asked for Sonny, but Michael told him that Sonny was not home because he had gone to get her. Carly then asked to speak with Courtney, but just as Michael put Carly on the phone, Alcazar charged Carly and grabbed the gun back. Carly warned Alcazar that Sonny would come looking for him. Alcazar called Sonny and demanded that Sonny accept a drug shipment at his docks as ransom for Carly's safe return. Sonny told Jason that he would give Alcazar whatever he wanted to ensure Carly's and the baby's safety. Sonny gave orders to let a ship go through the harbor and look the other way.

Alcazar yelled at one of his men who'd tied Carly up and told her she was free to go anywhere on the yacht. He also told her they were on business and she was a negotiating tactic, if Sonny will cooperate. Alcazar said how lucky that he figured out that Ric had Carly and now he can dictate terms to Sonny for the distribution network he needs. He wouldn't answer Carly's questions about where they are. She tried to understand why he took her and he offered to let her call home. Sonny was talking to Michael when the phone rang and Michael answered. Sonny took the phone and she told him Michael might feel better on the ocean, miles away from land. Sonny realized she was telling him where she was. Alcazar grabbed the phone and he and Sonny agreed they had an understanding about the shipment. Alone, Carly ate well, then talked to the baby about learning how to run a scam. She began screaming in pain and complaining about the baby and a guard ran in to help.

Alcazar went to see Sonny, who wanted assurance about their deal. He said an attendant was standing by, waiting for a call from Alcazar if anything happened with the shipment. Dillon was on the docks, looking through the fog for a cargo ship and the signal he was supposed to see. When he saw it, he picked up the phone to call it in but was knocked out from behind. Alcazar was waiting for the phone call that Dillon didn't make. He told Sonny if the phone didn't ring soon, he'd make a call of his own to Carly's guard. Aboard Lorenzo's yacht, Carly tries to con a guard into believing that she is going into premature labor. Sonny assures Alcazar that Lorenzo's shipment will go through. But Sonny and Lorenzo are both astounded when Pier 52 explodes. Lorenzo warns Sonny that the fireworks display has just cost Sonny his wife. Lorenzo discovers that his boat blew up before it reached Sonny's Pier. Lorenzo accuses Sonny of double-crossing him, but Sonny argues that Alcazar must have a traitor within his own organization. Sonny tries to convince Lorenzo that the explosion was caused by a third party who wants to prevent Sonny and Alcazar from forming an alliance and Sonny demands to speak to Carly! Lorenzo admits that the ship was filled with baking soda because Lorenzo was suspicious that something would stop the shipment so Lorenzo sent a dummy ship in place of the real shipment! Lorenzo insists that his shipment must be landed before Lorenzo will arrange a meeting between Sonny and Carly. Alcazar receives a call from Carly's guard, reporting that Carly has run into medical complication! Sonny suspects the call is about Carly but Lorenzo refuses to tell Sonny anything.

Carly is surprised when a specialist arrives to check on Carly's "labor pains," and informs the surprised Mrs. Corinthos that he has been engaged by Alcazar to remain on board as long as Carly is Alcazar's "guest!" Alcazar's doctor frightens Carly when he calmly announces that they need to induce labor immediately because Carly's pregnancy appears to be in distress. Carly suddenly jumps up and admits that she is perfectly fine. The doctor then informs Carly that he is her personal physician and will oversee Carly's health 24/7 while Carly is on board. Alcazar agrees to allow Sonny to see Carly and gives Sonny instructions to come to the pier, alone and unarmed, at midnight. Sonny agrees and Lorenzo leaves. After Alcazar leaves Sonny's Penthouse, one of Sonny's men reports to Sonny that the plan to blow up Alcazar's shipment, before the ship reached the docks, went off without a hitch! On the Docks, two of Alcazar's men meet Sonny and make sure that Sonny is not armed and is indeed alone! Then the two men put a black bag over Sonny's head and tie Sonny up! Sonny grows more impatient to see Carly and wonders why he is on this jet with Alcazar that doesn't seem to be going anywhere but in circles. Alcazar tells him that he will take him to see Carly but needs him to do something for him first. Sonny doesn't like to hear that Alcazar wants something more from him after promising he could see Carly. He tells him he wants him to kill his brother. Sonny asks him why he wants Ric dead since he was his co-conspirator. Alcazar tells him that Ric is crazy and can't be trusted. He tells him the irony of what he is asking him to do since Sonny was in a way responsible for his own brother's death. Sonny agrees to have Jason kill Ric if he hasn't already. Alcazar hands him the phone. Sonny calls Jason at his penthouse. Jason answers while Courtney is in the room. He tells Jason that if he hasn't already done it, to get rid of Ric now. Jason starts to argue about that but he can tell by how Sonny said it that it isn't what is seems and says okay.

Carly gives one of Alcazar's men a list of things she needs to look good for when she sees Sonny again. The guy agrees to do the best that he can after she promises to owe him a favor when he may need it. He returns with makeup and a gown as well as the cologne she asked for. She asks him to zip the back of her gown for her and he agrees. She waits until his back is turned, and hits him with a glass vase. She goes to run out of the room and meets Alcazar at the door. Alcazar tells her that she has no where to escape since he has his men everywhere guarding the yacht and everywhere on the property outside the water. He tells her that she will see Sonny after he gets confirmation that Sonny had his brother killed. Alcazar gets a call confirming that Ric was killed by Jason. He allows Sonny to come in the room and reunite with Carly. Alcazar tells him that he is lucky Jason follows orders so efficiently so he can now see his wife. Sonny asks him to leave him alone with his wife. Alcazar leaves but listens in at the door with a sad look on his face.

Sonny and Carly are kissing when Alcazar interrupts them to tell him the time is up. Sonny kisses her goodbye. He tells Alcazar he will agree to any business deal he wants from him so that Carly can come home soon. Later, Carly sees a phone in her room and goes to use it but one of Alcazar's men comes in and grabs it out of her hand and grabs her roughly. Alcazar comes in and tells him to let her go and if he ever does that again he will kill him. Carly isn't buying his concern for her welfare since he is still holding her captive. He suggests they play backgammon to pass the time. She agrees to play. Carly tried to convince Alcazar that if he let her go Sonny would still honor his promise to accept Alcazar's shipment. Alcazar called Carly's bluff and told her he was not that naive. Alcazar reminded Carly that her accommodations on his yacht were far better than the secret room Ric had kept her in. Carly won the game and called on Alcazar to pay up. Alcazar pulled a wad of cash out of his picture. Carly snatched it out of this hand and discovered a picture of a woman mixed in with the bills. Alcazar stammered when Carly asked about the woman in the picture and demanded that she give it back. Carly asked why a photograph would have such a dramatic effect on him.

Alcazar was furious with Carly and the photo she wouldn't give back. Carly guessed that the woman was gone and the memory was too painful. He told Carly her name was Sophie Germaine and they met at Oxford where he was studying to be a history professor. She was idealistic and killed while on a humanitarian mission in South America and he was off helping Luis instead of being with her. Carly quizzed him about his interest in history and he realized she was trying to get him to remember the man he used to be. Carly asked what Sophie would say today, and he admitted she'd be appalled and so would the man he used to be. He also told Carly that the man he used to be can't help her now.

Lorenzo informs Carly that he will away from the ship for a little while but the crew has been ordered to give Carly whatever Carly wants except, of course, a way to leave the ship! Faith meets with Lorenzo at the Port Charles Grill. Faith explains to Lorenzo that the police dismissed the attempted murder charges against Faith for lack of evidence so Faith no longer has any incentive for lowering herself to cozy up to Sonny for information. Faith offers to pay Alcazar twice what Alcazar's regular distributors have offered, if Faith can have Lorenzo's shipment of drugs. Faith claims that she wants revenge against Sonny because Sonny had Faith's husband murdered and Faith believes that Alcazar's drug shipment will allow Faith to begin to consolidate power against Sonny! Lorenzo finally agrees to sell his shipment to Faith and Faith reports her success back to Sonny. After Sonny sends Jason to run an errand for him, Sonny gets a call from Carly, who informs Sonny that she is outside, strolling around the deck of Lorenzo's yacht. Sonny tries to quiz Carly about her location, but Carly reports that she cannot see land and does not recognize any of the constellations she sees overhead. When Carly hints that she has been having some luck as she has been quizzing Lorenzo about his past, Sonny warns Carly not to begin trusting Lorenzo! Later, when Alcazar returns to the yacht, he finds Carly asleep on the deck and covers her up.

Alcazar shows up to meet with Sonny about a drug shipment he promised to deliver for him in exchange for getting Carly back eventually. Alcazar tells him that everything with the drug deal went smoothly. Sonny asks him what he gets in return for coming through on his promise. Alcazar tells him that he will let him know soon after he makes sure the rest of his drugs are stored where they are suppose to be and nothing happens. Alcazar makes a remark about how he can see why Sonny loves Carly so much since he has gotten to know her lately and she is an extraordinary woman. Sonny warns him not to touch her. Alcazar tells him he doesn't plan to and that being on the yacht has given them opportunities to talk. Alcazar leaves. Faith meets up with Alcazar at the Port Charles Grill. She has a briefcase with $5 million in it for him to buy the drugs from him. He is suspicious about how she got the money since her late husband's business was floundering before he died. Faith tells him that the five families gave her the money. Alcazar doesn't quite believe that but Faith convinces him that she was persuasive and called on a few favors. Alcazar agrees to a deal with her when she tells him she wants revenge on Sonny and make money for herself as well. Faith returns to Sonny's penthouse. Sonny isn't happy to see her and asks her what she would have done if Alcazar had her followed. Faith tells him she wasn't followed and that she did what he asked by having the drugs stored somewhere and that Alcazar bought her act. She tells him he owes her for coming through for them. Sonny gets a call from Alcazar. He tells Sonny that he can see Carly again by meeting him at the pier.

Carly tricks one of Alcazar's men to bend over and pick up some game pieces under the table from the backgammon game. As he bends over to get them, Carly hits him over the head with her blow-dryer. She strips off his uniform and puts on herself to try and find out where the yacht is headed to. She gets caught by one of the other men. One of his men orders Carly to strip out of the uniform in front of them. Carly refuses to and points out that Alcazar would not like it that they ordered her to strip out of the uniform in front of them and were stupid enough to almost allow her to escape. The two men leave her alone. Carly takes a some charts from her shirt and starts to look at it. She hears someone coming and quickly hides the map under her mattress. Alcazar enters her room. He tells her someone is here to see her and Sonny walks in. However, before he lets them reunite, Alcazar orders her to hand over his map first. Carly goes to deny it but realizes he knows she took it. She hands it over from her hiding place and Alcazar leaves them alone. He assures one of his men that the charts will do her no good since they are from last week and are not being used anymore. Sonny hugs Carly and tells her to keep talking as he shows her a tracking device. Carly talks to him about Michael as Sonny sneaks over to the bedside lamp and places the tracking device inside it. Alcazar listens in on the closed door as Sonny and Carly start kissing and lay on the bed. They share an intimate moment and he is not real pleased to hear Carly repeat to Sonny that she loves him.

Alcazar listens in while Carly tells Sonny that she needs him. He knocks on the door and tells Sonny that his time is up. Carly isn't too happy about it. Sonny kisses her goodbye and promises to bring her home soon. Alcazar returns and Carly tells him that he could have let her have an hour with Sonny since he is doing everything he asked him to do and he knows how much she misses him. Alcazar makes no apologies. They play a game of backgammon. Alcazar asks her how she met Sonny. She tells him she met him through a mutual friend but doesn't say more. Alcazar points out that he answered her questions about Sophie and now it is her turn. Carly points out that when she came to Port Charles it wasn't for any noble reasons and that she was out for revenge against her biological mother for giving her up and that she was out to ruin lives. She tells him that she despised Sonny when she met him and he felt the same way about her. They ended up having sex and she got pregnant. She tells him eventually they fell in love and that Sonny is her whole life. Alcazar questions her love for Sonny and wonders if they were both just making a best out of a bad situation. Carly tells him that she loves Sonny and that when she goes home, she will not miss him or the yacht. He suggests they go out on deck for some fresh air and she agrees to go with him.

Carly asks Alcazar why he threw into a helicopter and why they had to leave the yacht so suddenly. Alcazar explains to her that he knows Sonny put a tracking device in her room and assures her she didn't give anything away with her behavior and that he anticipated Sonny would plant a tracking device so he could know where she was. Carly starts to double over and tells him she is in pain. Alcazar tells her that faking labor pains won't work with him again and tells her she is stuck with him. Carly tells him she isn't faking them this time. Disbelieving at first, Alcazar soon realized that her trauma was real this time. Carly demanded medical attention, fearful that her water would break if she did not take medication to prevent it. Alcazar ordered the pilot to land and have a doctor ready at the tarmac. Alcazar warned Carly that he would kill the doctor in front of her eyes if she made any attempt to tell him she was being held against her will. The doctor examined Carly and informed Alcazar that they must do an emergency C-section or Carly could die of hemorrhaging. The doctor said it was too late to prevent it, that the medication wasn't working. He declared that Carly must be transferred to a hospital immediately. Posing as Carly's husband, Alcazar struggled with the decision. Carly struggled with the pain, but yelled at them to wait longer and see if the medication would work since her water was still intact. When she realized that Alcazar was about to authorize the procedure, Carly screamed that she would rather die with the baby than lose it and live. Lorenzo presses her to undergo the C-section, Carly insists that her child is not yet ready to be born. Carly begs Alcazar not to let the doctors take her baby's life, even if it means saving her own life in the process. Although reluctant, Alcazar agrees to Carly's request as she assures him she and her baby will both survive. Lorenzo stays close to Carly as her labor pains intensify. Carly and Alcazar form a new bond as he helps her through her crisis.

Lorenzo calls Sonny, reports that the police busted Alcazar's associate in the middle of the drug transaction and Alcazar demands his money from Sonny right away. Sonny demands to speak to Carly first, but Alcazar hangs up on Sonny. Later, Lorenzo visits Carly in her hospital room and praises her for her courage. Carly thanks Lorenzo for not being stampeded into allowing the doctor to perform an emergency C-Section on Carly! Lorenzo brings Carly a change of clothes and Carly begs Lorenzo to let her call Sonny to assure him that Carly is okay. But Alcazar insists that Sonny has no way to know that Carly is experiencing complications with her pregnancy and Lorenzo refuses to allow Carly to call. But, later, Carly notices that one of the nurses has a cell phone in her purse! Carly decoys the nurse away to look for a brush and then Carly grabs the cell phone. Carly uses the cell phone and calls the Penthouse. Courtney answers. Carly tells Courtney that she is at the Clinica Central in Leon, Colombia. When Courtney informs Carly that Jason and Sonny have gone to South America to rescue Carly, Carly tells Courtney that Carly cannot be moved for a while, so Carly will not be taken to Alcazar's compound for at least another 24 hours!

Lorenzo comes to see Carly and catches Carly on the phone. Lorenzo angrily grabs the phone out of Carly's hand and blasts Carly for repaying his kindness with a betrayal! Lorenzo warns Carly that, IF Carly has succeeded in luring Sonny to the Clinic, then Alcazar will regretfully have to kill Sonny when Sonny arrives! Lorenzo informs Carly that he plans to keep Carly as long as he needs her which could be a very long time! Alcazar tells Carly that he can't trust her now that she used a phone to call Sonny. He tells her he can only trust her with his life if she trusts him with hers and brings out a straight razor and some water. He has her shave his beard off with the straight razor to prove she doesn't want him killed. She tells him she isn't a murderer and that she will tell Sonny what he has done for her and that Sonny will be grateful to him and do anything for him to repay him if he will let her go now. She tells him she can't leave just yet since she isn't supposed to be walking yet and needs to stay at the clinic awhile longer. Alcazar gets a call and tells her the cavalry has arrived. He leaves her in her hospital room.

Meanwhile, Ric, Jason, and Sonny arrive at one of the hospitals in Columbia to look for Carly but only find a cleaning woman at the last room. They go back to the hotel and Sonny and Jason argue with Ric about what hospital she could be in. Courtney arrives and tells them about Carly's call and where she is. Ric tells them it is only a few blocks away. Sonny orders Courtney to stay in the room until they return. Courtney stays around but Alcazar busts in the door with a gun and asks her where they went. Sonny, Ric, and Jason show up at the clinic. Jason stands outside the room as a lookout and tries to find some sign of Alcazar's guards. One of Alcazar's men is hiding somewhere and has Jason in his target range. Sonny and Ric find Carly in one of the rooms. She sees Ric and asks Sonny why he is there with them. Sonny doesn't have time to explain. Ric tells them they need to get out of the clinic now. Jason searches the area of the clinic for any signs of Alcazar's men. He goes back into Carly's hospital room and tells Ric and Sonny that he doesn't like it that there are no guards around and they need to get out of there. Carly tells them she can't walk right now because she is afraid her labor will start again. Jason tells Sonny he will carry her. Ric and Sonny have guns and look around the area. Alcazar's men set up an ambush inside the clinic. Ric notices one of the men coming out and aiming at Sonny. Ric warns Sonny to duck and takes a bullet in the leg and chest. Jason protects Carly and shields her until he can find a hiding place. Ric tells Sonny to leave with Jason and Carly and he will stay behind and deal with the men. Sonny and Jason leave with Carly. Sonny and Carly head to the private plane but Jason heads back to the hotel to get Courtney.

Courtney is held there by Alcazar, who has a gun on him. He tells her that they are going to wait for Sonny and Jason to return. He gets a call from one of his men informing him of what is going on at the clinic. Alcazar tells the man on the phone to keep him alive. Alcazar informs Courtney that Ric took a bullet for Sonny and that he and Jason got away with Carly. He tells her that she is now going to be his bargaining chip. Courtney starts to feel weak and he asks her what is wrong. She tells him she is coming down with the flu. Jason shows up at the hotel room to find Alcazar there with a gun pointed at Courtney who is tied up in a chair and gagged. Alcazar tells him that he needs to call Sonny and tell him to return Carly to him or he will take Courtney instead. Jason tells him that isn't going to happen.

Sonny and Carly make it to the plane and are waiting for Jason to arrive with Courtney. The pilot gets on the P.A. system and tells them that they need to take off because Alcazar's men are gaining on them. Sonny tells them they can't and must wait for Jason to arrive. Sonny makes the painful decision to leave Jason and Courtney behind and fly back to Port Charles with Carly. Alcazar threatens to kill Courtney unless Jason returns Carly to him. Jason escapes from Alcazar and informs Sonny that Courtney is being held hostage. Carly and Michael are reunited. Alcazar calls the penthouse and demands to speak to Carly. Sonny refuses telling Lorenzo that Carly is recuperating and he will not put her under any stress by putting her on the phone with her kidnapper. Lorenzo explains that it is simply part of the negotiations for Courtney's release. Sonny tells Lorenzo that he agreed to use his territory in return for Courtney and Carly is no longer a part of the equation. Lorenzo tells Sonny that he is making this negotiation harder than it has to be and hangs up. Courtney asks Lorenzo why did he want to speak to Carly. Lorenzo tells Courtney that Sonny must not care much about her since Sonny was unwilling to cooperate by allowing Lorenzo to speak to Carly. Courtney tells Lorenzo that Sonny will hold up the deal to save her and asks Lorenzo why did he switch Carly for Courtney?

Lorenzo tells Courtney that Carly is extremely determined. She beat the odds by saving her baby. Courtney tells Lorenzo that he had no respect for Carly's baby and that all he cared about was getting what he needed to move his product. Lorenzo asks Courtney if her passion for the subject has anything to do with her situation. Lorenzo asks if Courtney was pregnant and Courtney denies it. Lorenzo offers Courtney a drink and she refuses. Lorenzo hands her a drink and asks her to prove that she is not pregnant. He tells her that they could have drinks every night for weeks or months as long as he decides to keep her hostage. He tells her that Carly would never do anything to harm her baby, but maybe Courtney would. Courtney puts the glass down and Lorenzo congratulates her. Lorenzo asks if Jason knows that Courtney is pregnant. Courtney tells Lorenzo that her relationship is none of his business. Lorenzo realizes that no one else knows about her pregnancy. Courtney asks why Lorenzo goes through all this trouble, what would be worth all of this trouble. Lorenzo tells her that he simply wants Sonny's territory and Courtney does not believe him.

Courtney realizes that Lorenzo is having his men watch Carly. Lorenzo tries to pump Courtney for information about Carly. Pretending to be prepared to tell Lorenzo all about Carly, Courtney gets close enough to knock Alcazar down and make a break for it. But Alcazar recovers soon enough to fire a warning shot at Courtney and stops her at the door. As Courtney realizes that Alcazar has visions of Carly leaving Sonny for Lorenzo, one of Alcazar's men arrives and announces that there is rough weather ahead and urges Alcazar to leave immediately if he wants to avoid taking off in the bad weather. Alcazar walks past Kelly's and spots Carly, sitting alone, waiting for her mother to join her. Alcazar stands gazing at Carly with rapt attention. Alcazar hears someone coming and goes over to hide around the corner. Max shows up and takes his place guarding Kelly's.

Faith calls Alcazar to set up another drug deal. Alcazar is suspicious of her but agrees to meet her at the pier. He tells one of his men to follow Carly at a safe distance and not to make a move to grab her just now until he gives him the say-so. Jason follows Faith to the pier and watches from a hidden corner of the pier. Faith asks Alcazar where the drugs are. Alcazar tells her he never agreed to sell her drugs. He also asks her what she was doing going into Sonny's penthouse 10 minutes before she called him. Faith accuses him of being paranoid and tells him she left some diamond earrings at his place and that they were given to her by her late husband. Alcazar takes her word for it and demands to see what is inside the briefcase. She opens it for him and sees that the money is there and nothing else. He doesn't give her any drugs and tells her she owes him the money from last time when she bungled the other drug deal and got busted. He takes the money and she leaves. Jason comes out of his hiding spot and is about to follow Alcazar when someone knocks him over the head and he lays unconscious.

After the storm, a Coast guard has boarded the yacht. Just as Courtney believes she has been rescued, two of Alcazar's men show up and talk to the Coast Guard in Spanish. Courtney can't understand what they are telling the Coast Guard but doesn't like it and tells him that the men are dangerous and to keep them away from her. One of Alcazar's men hands the Coast Guard a huge wad of cash as a pay-off. The Coast Guard looks the other way and leaves as the men grab Courtney and take her inside. They tie her up to a chair. Courtney gets loose and manages to knock one of the guards down and run onto the deck to escape. The other guard points a gun on her and tells her to stay there and not move. Courtney looks at the water and back at him. He warns her that the water is too cold for her and that it would be suicide for her to jump overboard. Courtney goes toward him and manages to get the gun from him and use it on him. She points the gun on him and tells him to stay away from her. He notices she is looking toward the water as if she is going to jump. He tells her that Alcazar isn't going to kill her and that he will be negotiating a deal with Sonny so she can go home soon. Courtney doesn't trust him and jumps overboard anyway.

Lorenzo encounters Carly at GH, and sits down next to her. She begs Lorenzo to not hurt Courtney and asks him what he wants. He asks Carly if she would like to trade herself for Courtney. Jason walks up to them and tells Lorenzo that no one is being traded. Sonny arrives and asks why is Lorenzo following Carly and demands Lorenzo to release Courtney. Lorenzo tells Sonny that he will trade Courtney for Carly. Sonny refuses and Lorenzo says that if Sonny doesn't agree to the trade, Courtney may never come home. Suddenly, Jason attacks Lorenzo. Sonny orders Jason off. He tells Lorenzo that killing him would be great, but Lorenzo says that killing him would be a mistake directing it as question towards Carly. Lorenzo then spots Ric. Lorenzo repeats his offer for Courtney's return and turns to leave, but not before he removes the tracking device that Sonny planted in the suitcase. Sonny tells Jason that if something happens to Lorenzo, they will not get Courtney back and tells him to take Carly home.

Lorenzo bursts in to Ric's room with a gun and threatens to kill him for what he did to Carly. But Faith comes in and aims a gun at Lorenzo. Suddenly, Sonny comes into the room and disarms Faith and forces her out of the room. Sonny tells Lorenzo that they need to come to an agreement. Lorenzo asks Sonny if Ric is more important to him than Carly and asks why Ric is still alive after all that he did to Carly. Lorenzo puts the gun on Ric, but Sonny tells Lorenzo that he would be just like Louis if he killed Ric.

Back on the yacht, Lorenzo questions his crew how Courtney escaped as Jason listens on. Courtney is rescued from the ocean by fishermen and is taken to a hospital. Lorenzo discovers Courtney's whereabouts and Jason overhears. Courtney can't believe that she has had a miscarriage. She thinks that the nurse is working for Lorenzo. The nurses sedate Courtney to calm her down. Later, the nurse comes back into the room and announces that her fiancé was there to take her home and Lorenzo walks in. Courtney tells the nurse that Lorenzo is not her fiancé, but Lorenzo convinces the nurse that Courtney is bi-polar. Courtney begins to struggle and the nurse sedates her. A noise outside the room catches Lorenzo's attention. He grabs a nurse and holds a gun to her head and walks out of the room to find Jason. They exchange gunshots and Lorenzo leaves. Jason sees Courtney and carries her out.

Aboard his jet, Alcazar orders his men to continue following Carly. When one of the men asks about Ric, Alcazar tells his men that Lansing is no longer a priority and that Alcazar plans to re-evaluate his plans. Lorenzo declares that he now wants more than access to Sonny's territory to move 'product' and makes plans to destroy Carly's club as the beginning of a plan to undermine Sonny. When Alcazar's men arrive at Carly's club to burn the place down, they discover Georgie, Maxie, Dillon, Kyle and Zach arguing with each other. As Alcazar's thugs hold the kids at gunpoint and begin spreading gasoline around, Dillon tells the thugs that Dillon's boss is Alcazar, they perk up their ears. As Dillon tries to convince the thugs that Dillon is a close personal friend of Lorenzo, Alcazar himself shows up! Alcazar orders the thugs to leave, then orders all the kids to leave, except Dillon. Alcazar tells Dillon that he will either have to kill Dillon or actually put Dillon on the payroll if Dillon keeps on turning up at the wrong time in the middle of Alcazar's operations!

Carly opens the door to find Alcazar. Sonny asks him what he wants. Sonny tells Carly to go over to Jason's right now and that he will take care of Alcazar alone. Alcazar asks for Carly to stay for this. Carly doesn't want to leave Sonny alone with him. Alcazar tells Sonny that he no longer has interest in using Sonny's property to deal his drugs and that he wants to call a truce. He apologizes to Carly for kidnapping her as well as Courtney and that he won't use them again to make any deals. Carly accepts his apology and heads over to Jason's across the hall. Sonny waits until she leaves the room and asks him what he really wants and that he doesn't believe he wants a truce. Alcazar tells him that he wants a truce and to do business someday.

Jason shows up at Alcazar's apartment with a baseball bat in his hand. Alcazar isn't surprised to see him there. Jason asks him what he did to Courtney. Jason, noticing that something is different about Courtney asks Alcazar if he raped Courtney. Alcazar tells him he is not a rapist even if he is a killer (Jason doesn't yet know about the pregnancy or miscarriage). Jason is about to ask him more when Alcazar tells him that what happened to Courtney is her own fault when she decided to jump in the cold water and escape. Dillon comes in and interrupts them. He asks if he interrupted a hit in progress. Jason tells him to come in and shut up. Alcazar thanks him for interrupting and possibly stopping Jason from killing him. He asks him what he wants. Dillon tells him he came over to thank him for the other night and saving his life. Alcazar tells him he is welcome and asks Jason if he is planning on killing his cousin as well as him. Jason tries to continue asking him about what he did to Courtney but Alcazar tells him that he needs to ask his fiancée and she will clear things up with him herself. Jason tells Dillon to leave with him. He tells Dillon that he is on his own now and that he has warned him for the last time to stay away from Alcazar because he is dangerous and he will get himself killed. Dillon asks him what Alcazar did to make him want to kill him. Jason tells him that he broke something.

Carly tells Sonny that Alcazar did not rape Courtney and why he thinks he did. Sonny tells her that Jason feels that Courtney is hiding something from him and that she hasn't been herself since she returned home as if something inside of her went out like a light. Carly tells him that Alcazar did not rape Courtney and that he needs to leave Alcazar alone and that what is wrong with Courtney has nothing directly to do with Alcazar. After Sonny leaves, Carly gets a call from Alcazar. He wants to meet with Sonny on the docks. She confronts him over the phone about what his real agenda is and that he doesn't really want her, he just wants to torment Sonny some more. Jason comes in and overhears her talking on the phone and hanging up. He asks her about the call. Carly explains that Alcazar is just playing more games with Sonny to make him jealous by making Sonny think he wants her for himself now. Jason tells her she needs to tell Sonny about the call and not keep it to herself. She tells him that she doesn't want Sonny getting hurt and starting a fight again with him. Carly tells Sonny about the call from Alcazar. Sonny leaves to go call Alcazar to find out what he wants. Alcazar asks him to meet him on the docks later. Sonny agrees to it.

Later, Carly and Michael are leaving Kelly's and walk on the docks. Alcazar spots them and watches from afar. Michael points to Alcazar's yacht and is awed by its size and grabs Carly's hand and drags her closer to the stairs to get a better look. Max is behind her but Michael rushes down the stairs. Alcazar tells her that it must be fate that they meet up like this. Carly almost stumbles on the stairs when Michael pulls on her hand to get her to go faster. Alcazar holds her to stop her from falling. Carly tells him she is fine and can go down the stairs by herself. He tells her he doesn't want to let her go. Sonny watches them from afar and wonders what Alcazar is up to. Carly thanks Lorenzo for saving her from falling down the stairs as Sonny questions what happened. Michael tells Sonny that he just wanted to see the big boat and was pulling on Carly. Sonny tells Carly to take Michael home. She refuses at first, unless Sonny goes home with them, but she leaves Sonny and Lorenzo alone. Sonny tells Lorenzo that everywhere he goes, Lorenzo is always there. Lorenzo tells Sonny it is because they have mutual interests and that their paths are bound to cross. Sonny tells him that he is making it sound like he's talking about business, but he knows it's personal. Lorenzo tells Sonny that he has gone out of his way to run into Carly, but Sonny always seems to be around. But he understands that it is one of the down sides to being in love with another man's wife. Sonny advises Lorenzo to back off Carly, while he is still asking.

At the penthouse, Max hands Carly a box of roses. The note reads 'thinking of you, as always, Lorenzo'. Carly rips up the note. Sonny walks into the room and asks who gave her the flowers. She tells him that they were a welcome home gift. Sonny picks up the note from the trash and reads it. He asks her why she lied to him. Sonny asks Carly why she lied about the flowers being from Lorenzo. He tells her that lying to him about the flowers is the first step toward breaking their trust. She tells him that she just didn't want to make it a big deal. He tells her that she shouldn't try and protect him from Lorenzo. He tells her that she needs to tell him if this happens again. Another delivery arrives for Carly, she is appalled to find a gift-wrapped Backgammon board from Lorenzo waiting for her!

Alcazar is on the docks talking on his cell-phone giving orders to his men that the product needs to be hitting the streets and if anyone gets in the way, to get rid of them. Dillon comes down to meet him, all dressed up in a suit and a new haircut. Alcazar asks him if he heard any of his conversation on the phone. Dillon tells him that he wasn't paying any attention to his phone call and just wanted to tell him that he considered his offer to work for him but decided to take another more legitimate job and thanks him for his offer. Alcazar accepts his decision and wishes him luck. Georgie sees them talking and worries for Dillon's safety. She comes down to greet him as Alcazar leaves.

Sonny comes home and asks Carly what was in the package on the desk. Carly shows him the card and tells him he won't like it. Sonny starts to get angry with Alcazar and plans to confront Alcazar about sending her gifts. Carly asks him to leave it alone. Jason goes to the docks and pushes the backgammon game against Alcazar's throat and threatens him to back off of Carly. Alcazar's goon pulls a gun on Jason and tells him to leave Alcazar alone. Jason pulls away and warns Alcazar to leave Carly alone or there will be another war that he won't win this time. Jason throws the game into the river and leaves.

Courtney heads to the pier and watches as one of Alcazar's drug dealers sells drugs to a teenager. She goes to turn around and comes face to face with one of Alcazar's men, who grabs her and points a gun on her. The other drug dealer grabs her from the other direction. She fights them off and almost gets away until Alcazar's goon knocks her over the back of the head with his gun and she lays unconscious. Dillon witnesses what happened and goes to find Jason at his place and explains what happened. Jason gets Sonny and explains what happened. Alcazar checks on the success of the drug deal. His men inform him that a woman may have witnessed a drug deal go down. Alcazar tells them to kill her. The men tell him it would be a shame to kill her since she is quite the looker. Alcazar goes over and sees that it is Courtney. Alcazar shows up just as Jason and Sonny are heading out to find Courtney. He tells them that he has Courtney. Jason asks Alcazar if he hurt her. Alcazar tells him that he didn't hurt Courtney but took her to the hospital instead and rescued her. (Note - this sequence is very abrupt. Alcazar shows up and tells them about Courtney, then the next scene is at GH).

Carly catches Alcazar writing a check out and tells him that he is not going to pay for Courtney's medical treatment just so he can upset Sonny further and grabs the check and rips it up. She tells him to leave them alone and stop playing his games. She tells him he should have followed his original plan by continuing as a history professor like he once was. Alcazar tells her that he has a reason now for what he is doing with his life. Sonny witnesses what is going on. Carly leaves with Sonny. Dillon watches Sonny and Alcazar face off and is impressed with Alcazar's strategy of calm smoothness and how he can rattle Sonny. He tells Georgie about how he suspects though that Alcazar is sort of responsible for Courtney getting hit on the head and the men probably work for him. Georgie becomes concerned with his interest in danger and tells him that this whole mob stuff seems to be second nature to him. Later, they hang out on the docks. Alcazar overhears Dillon telling Georgie how impressed he was with how he acted at the hospital earlier with Sonny. Alcazar thanks him for the compliment. Georgie steps in and reminds Alcazar that her dad, the police commissioner wouldn't want them talking to him and that he hates crime. Alcazar backs away and leaves. Georgie worries about Dillon's interest in Alcazar's lifestyle.

When Sonny and Carly return home, Sonny talks to his technician guy about doing any tricks he can come up with to track every move that Alcazar makes and to put surveillance on him. Carly overhears Sonny tell him that he will do what it takes to get rid of Alcazar once and for all. Carly asks Sonny not to go after Alcazar anymore and starts to defend him. Sonny doesn't want to hear about it but listens as she explains that Alcazar could have easily let the doctors at the clinic perform a c-section on her and that she would have lost the baby and may have even died herself but Alcazar wouldn't let them do anything to her to harm her baby and she will be grateful for him for that. Sonny explains that he can't win with her since when she almost lost the baby and he had to choose between her life and the baby's and he chose her, she didn't want him to sacrifice the baby. Carly realizes she is defending Alcazar too much and tells him that Alcazar isn't exactly a good guy but he isn't as bad as Sonny thinks he is. On the docks, Lorenzo congratulates Dillon on his new job at ELQ and gives him some money for a night out on the town on him, rather than waiting for payday. Georgie spots something in the water and alerts Dillon. They go to PCPD and report that they saw a dead body floating in the water. Dillon tells Scott that the body may have been one of the guys that attacked Courtney. Scott, unaware that Courtney was attacked tells them that another body was spotted a mile off the docks.

Courtney talks to the doctor who prescribed the Hydrocodone to her in the ER She lies to him and tells him that she threw out the painkillers by mistake and needs more since her shoulder and neck still hurt badly. The doctor refuses to prescribe more pills and suggests she try some over the counter painkillers instead. Alcazar happens to be following her and overhears her talking to the doctor. Alcazar sneaks a peek at her chart and finds out what kind of drug she was prescribed before and calls one of his dealers and asks him to find some Hydrocodone for him immediately. Sonny and Carly hang out near the carnival at the park with Michael. One of Alcazar's goons reports Carly's whereabouts to Alcazar. Alcazar arrives and listens in as Sonny denies Carly's plea to satisfy a craving for cotton candy. Sonny gets a call from Jason and leaves. Alcazar takes advantage of this chance to talk to Carly alone and gives her some cotton candy as a friendly gesture. She rejects it and tells him to stay away from her and her family from now on and that since he is Sonny's enemy, she is also his enemy as well. Jason breaks into Alcazar's apartment with the technician guy and they plant more discreet bugs in his place. Jason finds some files and takes pictures of them to look at later. He takes them back to Sonny and shows him the pictures of the files. They realize that Alcazar is most likely the creditor who is after Stefan for the money he owes and that his holding company is probably the front for what he is up to. Jason tells Sonny about Nikolas being in danger according to Emily and that Stefan probably doesn't know that Alcazar is the person behind the holding company he owes a huge debt to. They decide to use what they know against Alcazar and protect Nikolas as much as they can.

Courtney's neck starts to hurt. There is a knock on the door and she answers it. It is a young guy who hands her a bag with a prescription for Hydrocodone and tells her that her doctor must have sent it. After he leaves she checks the bottle and takes a pill. Courtney is upset after a confrontation with Ric about Liz. She goes to leave and drops her purse all over the ground. As she is picking up her purse she looks up to find Alcazar standing there. Alcazar tells her she is to blame for her miscarriage since she risked her life in the water like that. He tells her she brought her own pain onto herself. Courtney gets behind the wheel of her car, Ric gets behind the wheel of his car, as well as Faith. Elizabeth is crossing the street when a car comes barreling down the street and hits her.

Alcazar leaves a message on Carly's cell phone that he needs to see her about something important that evening and tells Carly that he will meet her outside her club before it opens. Sonny finds Michael with Carly's phone. Michael explains that he was waiting for a friend to call, but there was only a message on Carly's cell phone for his mother, from a man who wanted to meet Carly in front of her Club. When Sonny checks the message, he realizes that the message is from Alcazar and erases the message. Later, Carly learns from Michael that Carly had a message from a man who wanted Carly to meet him, but that Sonny listened to the message and then erased it. In the meantime, Sonny arrives outside Carly's Club and informs Alcazar that Carly will not be meeting Lorenzo tonight!

Carly leaves to go find Sonny. Sonny and Alcazar enter Carly's club to talk. Sonny tells Alcazar that he is living on borrowed time and that he will not get his wife. Alcazar tells him that he will get what he wants and that Sonny will be helpless to stop it. Sonny informs him that Carly will never leave him. Alcazar disagrees and tells him that Carly will soon learn that Sonny isn't good enough for her and that she and her children can have a better life away from him. Carly shows up. Sonny tells her what Alcazar thinks she is going to do. Carly tells Alcazar that she loves her husband and will never leave him to go be with him. She tells him that she doesn't like him even and that after what he did to Courtney and how he tried to kill Jason, she doesn't want anything to do with him and to stay out of her life. Alcazar isn't pleased but leaves. Carly assures Sonny that Alcazar has no life and that all he is after is revenge for his brother's murder. Alone, Carly opens up the large manila envelope to find a blown up picture of Courtney's car with a smashed headlight and a note on the back from Alcazar asking her to meet him on the docks soon.

Alcazar interrupts a couple of Faith's goons as they are beating up Dillon. Alcazar runs them off. He asks Dillon why he is always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Dillon thanks him for saving his life and tells him what happened with Faith and how she is going to kill his girlfriend Georgie if he doesn't protect her. Alcazar tells him that he shouldn't let too many people know how he feels about Georgie, because it makes him vulnerable and Georgie an easy target. Dillon rides with Alcazar in his limo. He asks for Alcazar's help in getting Faith to back off and leave Georgie alone. Alcazar asks him to give him one good reason why he should help him. Dillon offers to work for Alcazar. Alcazar agrees to do what he can. Dillon comes to Georgie's rescue when the owner of the barn refuses to let her go.

Carly meets with Alcazar. He tells her that he saw Courtney hit Elizabeth with her car but was most likely unaware of it because she was so high on painkillers at the time. Carly isn't ready to believe that Courtney hit Elizabeth and asks him if he is trying to set up Courtney to get to Sonny. Alcazar admits that his knowledge of the accident helps him. Carly agrees to keep what she knows a secret if he agrees to keep this thing about Courtney a secret. He gives her the keys to Courtney's car and the directions on where to find the car he hid for her. Carly finds the car way out in country and goes to find it and get rid of it. Sonny comes home and calls to Carly up the stairs. Max comes in the penthouse to inform him that Carly isn't home and that she just disappeared. Carly puts Courtney's car in gear and gets out to let the car roll off the embankment. However, her coat sleeve gets caught in the driver's side door and she can't get it loose as the car starts to roll closer to the embankment with her attached to the door. She starts to cry out in panic and try to get her jacket free.

With her coat caught in the car door, it almost pulls her over the cliff. She manages to pull her coat from the car door and lands near the edge of the cliff. She tries to pull herself up and begins to slip, but a nearby Alcazar grabs her arms and pulls her up to safety. They are huddled on the ground and he tells her that she is safe and she thanks him. He takes her back to his apartment and asks her if she is ok, he asks if the baby is ok. He tells her that when he gave her Courtney's car keys, he had no idea that Carly would get herself almost pulled off a cliff. She asks him why he followed her and he said that it dawned on him that she may need a ride back. She goes to the guest room to wash up. She tells him that he doesn't know who she is at all and he tells her that he looks forward to finding out. She tells him that she understands how he thinks, everything costs and she wants to know what he wants in return. Alcazar ensures that the car landed in the lake and that there is no evidence to connect Carly to the car. Suddenly, Jason & Sonny bursts through the door and demand to know what he did to Carly. He asks if he has hurt her and he tells him that he would never hurt her. They leave and Carly tells Alcazar that this is all just a game to him and that he is not the same man who helped her through premature labor. Alcazar offers Carly a ride home, but she tells him to leave her alone. He asks her, what if he can't, she tells him that he is much too smart to chase after something that he cannot have. She loves Sonny and she is not leaving him. Carly walks out the door. She returns home to find Sonny worried and upset. He asks her to tell him where she was. Alcazar pulls up an article of Lily's death on the internet.

Sonny asks Carly what she knows about the car and tells her that he hates it when she lies to him. He asks her where she went after she left the club. She tells him that she went to see Alcazar. He asks her if she was in the apartment when he and Jason were there. She tells him that she was there, but she was only there trying to help Courtney. Sonny angrily asks her if she is trying to get attention by going to another man's apartment and lying to her husband about it. She tells Sonny that Courtney was the one who hit Liz and Alcazar sent him a picture of her car and that was the only reason that she went to meet him. She tells him that she went to a cliff to dispose of Courtney's car, but she slipped and fell on the loose dirt and Alcazar was there to help pull her up. She went to Alcazar's apartment to get cleaned up and she hid when he and Jason arrived, not to protect Alcazar, but to protect Courtney. She has been through enough and if she found out that it was her who hit Liz, she would have been devastated. Sonny tells her that Carly's solution instead was to cover it up, keep a secret with the man who kidnapped her, and risked her and the baby's life. Carly tells him that she didn't want him to tell Jason because they have been through enough and she would just end up blaming herself. Jason comes in and tells that he needs to speak to Sonny and it is about Courtney. He tells Jason that Alcazar claims that he saw Courtney hit Liz. Carly thinks that Courtney does not need to know about hitting Liz because she has been through enough. Sonny questions Carly's trust and tells her that these types of lies cannot keep happening. One of he guards comes in to inform Sonny that the cops have found Courtney's car.

Courtney goes to Alcazar's apartment to find out the truth. He recalls the evening back to her and apologizes to her for any pain he may have caused her. He tells her that he will be there for her if she ever needed anything. Later, Julian, an old friend of Alcazar's arrives at Alcazar's apartment to discuss the contents of Sonny's file. Alcazar tells Julian that he is going to help him destroy Sonny. After looking through the file, Julian tells him that it is an intriguing plan, a cycle that repeats itself. He tells Julian that the plan needs to not be traced back to him. A Lily look-alike enters Alcazar's apartment and introduces herself as Marisela. He pays her a huge amount of money and she asks him what he what it is for. Alcazar tells her that it is not for what, but for who. He asks her about her family and she tells him that she has no family left. She agrees to do whatever he wanted and Julian comes in.

Alcazar finds Carly sitting alone in the waiting area. He approaches her and acts concerned about the baby. She tells him the baby is fine and that she is waiting for Sonny. She accuses him of calling the cops and letting them know where Courtney's car was hidden and for trying to set them up to get to Sonny. She tells him to leave her and her family alone and that he isn't her friend. Alcazar agrees to do what she wishes and tells her he never meant to upset her. Faith is given the job of caregiver at Alcazar's place to sit with Marcella, as she recovers from plastic surgery. Marcella asks her what Alcazar is doing and if she works for him. Faith advises her to take the money and do what is asked of her without asking too many questions. Sonny and Carly show up at the police station. They try to get Scott to release Courtney. Courtney is put in a holding cell as Sonny tries to find out from Jason what is going on. Alcazar shows up and tells Mac that he saw the accident and that the driver was not Courtney and that the person who hit Elizabeth was a man with long blonde hair who is willing to admit he hit Elizabeth and ran away with the car because he had stolen it from Courtney and didn't want to get caught with it. Mac is weary of Alcazar's story but agrees to check it out and see if the man outside's story checks out. The police forensic report proves that Courtney's car was the vehicle that hit Elizabeth because the DNA on the headlight matches Elizabeth's. Sonny asks to speak to Alcazar while Mac goes to check out the information. He asks him what he wants for helping to cover for Courtney. He tells him that he did it for Carly but Sonny doesn't buy it. Mac returns and has Courtney sent back up and released and the charges dropped. Alcazar returns home to talk to Marcella, who asks him how she is going to look once the bandages come off. He tells her she will look beautiful.

Sonny and Jason show up at the cemetery where the grave of Lily's is. The place where her casket was buried is all dug up and her casket is missing. They call Mac for help. Mac assures them he will get to the bottom of this and is as disturbed by this as Sonny and Jason. Carly is at GH, suffering from dehydration and that is causing the muscles to be sore. She is admitted for observation. Sonny reluctantly agrees to go home. Sonny gets a call and his cell phone says it is a call from home. However, when he picks it up there is no voice on the other end. Sonny assumes it is Michael calling him and he asks him to answer him but no one answers. (This next sequence is very well done, very eerie).....A mysterious woman had entered Sonny's penthouse in a dress and her clothes and body all dirty from dirt while a thunderstorm is going on. She picks up a picture of Sonny with Carly and Michael. Later, Sonny returns home with no sign of anyone home. He hears a noise and goes to investigate. He notices a message written in the glass of the sliding glass door going out to the balcony. It says "I Miss You." Sonny opens the sliding glass doors and looks out onto the balcony. He is shocked to see a woman who looks identical to Lily, his late wife staring back at him on the balcony. He walks outside to see, only to find that she has disappeared. Courtney enters the penthouse and tells him that he looks like he has just seen a ghost. He tells her that he thought he saw a woman on the terrace and he thinks that he is just being paranoid. He calls for Max to tell him that someone was outside and he thinks he knows who it is.

Alcazar enters Carly's room and checks in on her while she sleeps. He touches her hair and her cheek and leaves the room. He runs into Jason coming around the corner. Jason asks him what he is doing in Carly's room and that when Sonny hears about it he won't be happy. He warns him not to push Sonny anymore than he has been or he will regret it. Jason warns Lorenzo that although Carly and Sonny may be grateful for what he did for Courtney, he needs to watch himself because Jason will go after him and Lorenzo will wish that he never heard of PC. Lorenzo tells Jason that he will stay for as long as it takes to get what he wants.

Detective Capelli tells Lorenzo asked him what he wants to do about Nikolas. Lorenzo tells him that he always collects what is owed to him. Detective Capelli enters Nikolas' room while he is asleep. He is carrying a gun with a silencer and aims it at Nikolas. At the hospital and with the lights off, Detective Capelli aims the gun at a sleeping Nikolas but Carly turns the light on, wakes up Nikolas and they both ask what Capelli is doing there. He tells Nikolas that he was there to check on his security and that he will be placing guards outside of his door. Capelli leaves and Carly asks what happened to him. He tells her that he was attacked and asks her what she is doing there. Carly tells him that she was bored and decided to take a walk. She asks him if he thinks that he was beaten up on Lorenzo's orders, but before he could answer, Jason comes in and asks her what she is doing leaving her room. She tells them both that when she was in Lorenzo's apartment, she saw a document with Nikolas' name and she thought that maybe it had something to do with his attack. Jason tells her that it is none of her business and that she should not be involved. He tells Carly to leave.

Lorenzo brings a huge vase flowers for Carly, but Maxie tells him that Carly is not accepting flowers from anyone but Sonny. Faith congratulates Lorenzo on his plan against Sonny. Faith and Lorenzo discuss the plan. She questions why haunting Sonny is the way to taking him down. She wonders why Sonny would be bothered by images of Lily since they were married for only six months and it was ages ago. Lorenzo tells her that Lily's ghost has been haunting since she died and he knows this because he has a ghost of his own. Lorenzo talks about losing a great love by death and remembering her name and seeing her face wherever he goes. He tells her that when the woman you love dies because you didn't react fast enough, you live with the ghost and he knows it because he had to live with the ghost for so long. Faith asks who Lorenzo's ghost was and he tells her that her name doesn't matter but that she gave Lorenzo the key to bringing Sonny down. At GH, Sonny sees "Lily" in the hallway.

Nikolas meets with Lorenzo at Alcazar's Penthouse and informs the drug lord that Nikolas is prepared to make a partial payment on the Cassadine debt, but Lorenzo will need to pick the money up personally at Wyndemere. Nikolas meets with Jason to discuss their trap for Alcazar. Officer Capelli assures Alcazar that Andy will take care of Nikolas and bring the money back to Lorenzo. Alcazar surprises Capelli when Alcazar announces that he plans to take care of Nikolas Cassadine himself. Meanwhile, Jason tells Nikolas that, when Lorenzo pulls his gun to kill Nikolas, Jason will appear from hiding and kill Alcazar. Then Jason will be able to claim self-defense and, once Alcazar is dead, Lorenzo will not be around to contradict their story! As Lorenzo and Nikolas meet in the study at Wyndemere, Jason waits in hiding and keeps his gun trained on Alcazar. When Lorenzo picks up the briefcase full of cash, Alcazar tells Nikolas that they will not be doing business like this again and reaches inside his jacket pocket. As Emily walks past the docks on her way home with groceries for Kristina, Emily is grabbed from behind by Capelli. He warns her that if Nikolas doesn't pay Alcazar back soon, they will come after her next time.

Jason watches from the corner of the hallway as Nikolas meets with Alcazar at Wyndemere. Nikolas gives him $100,000 and tries to make a deal with him to pay him back in more installments. Alcazar puts his hand inside his jacket pocket and Jason gets his gun ready to shoot Alcazar if he tries to kill Nikolas. Alcazar takes a slip of paper from his pocket and hands it to Nikolas. Alcazar takes one of the figurines belonging to the Cassadines as collateral. He leaves. Jason asks him why he blocked his view from shooting Alcazar. Nikolas tells him that he realized that Alcazar wasn't going to shoot him and he didn't want Jason to shoot him by accident. Jason finds it suspicious that Alcazar didn't kill him and they realize that Emily may be vulnerable at this moment. Zander isn't too happy about Nikolas' problems putting her in danger. Nikolas explains about his creditors and that Alcazar is behind the debt. Jason calls one of Sonny's men to find Emily as Nikolas makes his own phone call. Emily walks in the door, quite shaken up. Jason sighs in relief when he sees she isn't harmed.

Sonny is asleep and has a dream about wheeling Carly out of the hospital with their baby in her arms. He gets her set up in the back seat with the baby and is about to get in the car when he hears his name called and he sees Lily. Lily tells him to stay away from the car. He turns around in panic and the car explodes with Carly and the baby inside. Sonny wakes up in a scream. Carly wakes up and comforts him. Alcazar finds Faith waiting outside a hospital room. Faith explains that they had a close call when Courtney caught her outside Carly's room and accused her of being up to something sinister. She tells him that she had a cover story that Courtney seemed to believe. Alcazar asks about their patient, Marcella. She tells him that her bandages will be coming off today. Alcazar enters Marcella's room and gets a look at her without bandages. He is quite pleased with the results and tells her she looks beautiful. Alcazar tells Faith that their plan is working because Sonny is very anxious about Carly and is most likely thinking about Lily's death right now.

Courtney and Carly talk outside of Kelly's. Carly tells her that Sonny hasn't been sleeping well lately and has been having nightmares about Lily's death. Alcazar overhears them talking and is pleased that his plan against Sonny is working. Courtney tells her that her own nightmares are starting to fade a little. Courtney also mentions that she noticed how Sonny was acting strangely the other day and mentioned seeing some woman that wasn't there. Carly worries that Sonny is so afraid that she is going to die and lose the baby like Lily did with their child, that he is getting paranoid and seeing Lily in his dreams lately. Alcazar interrupts their talk. Courtney tells him to go away and leave them alone. Alcazar asks Carly how the baby is doing. She tells him he is fine. Alcazar mentions to them that he just bought the old Water street warehouse and that it is outside Sonny's territory and that they can tell him that themselves and remind him that he is keeping his word to stay out of Sonny's territory. Alcazar meets up with Faith and tells her the plan has to happen tonight since he has Sonny where he wants him, paranoid and thinking of Lily in his dreams. Carly and Courtney meet on the docks. Courtney tells her that she has a bad feeling that Jason is going to get himself in trouble and goes on to explain what she overheard Jason tell Nikolas, about getting rid of Alcazar tonight. Courtney asks her what they should do. Carly tells her to go home and forget what she heard and that Jason will take care of himself.

Faith had gone to the hospital to see Marcella and hands her a compact mirror to look at her new face, which Marcella is nervous to see. Marcella looks at herself and is amazed at how beautiful she looks. Sonny almost breaks the bottle of champagne when the a woman enters the dark, empty club and it is "Lily." Sonny is in shock. He thinks that seeing her means that he is about to lose Carly and the baby. He shatters glass and cuts himself to prove that he is not dreaming. Lily doesn't move or speak. Sonny thinks that she has come back to help him, to tell him that something terrible is going to happen to Carly. He thinks that losing Carly the same way that he lost Lily is his punishment for letting Lily die. He asks her to pray for him and to ask god to help him. He cannot watch Carly die the same way that he watched her die. Lily disappears.

Alcazar makes some phone calls on his cell phone. A man in a ski mask comes up from behind him and pulls a cord around his neck tight and starts to strangle Alcazar. Cop sirens are heard coming toward the alleyway. The masked man drops Alcazar on the ground, unconscious and runs off. Jason comes to the alleyway with his gun drawn but the masked man gets away. Jason checks on Alcazar but takes off in case the police find him. Carly finds Alcazar laying on the ground unconscious near the entrance to the "Cellar." She goes over to him and checks his pulse. She gets up and walks away but thinks about the times he saved her life and her baby's life. She decides she can't leave him to die and goes over to try and help him. Stefan returns to Wyndemere, and is revealed to be the mysterious masked man who attacked Alcazar. Carly revives an almost dead Lorenzo. She screams for help, Georgie and Dillon come to help. Carly tells Dillon to get Lorenzo's car and they take him back to his apartment. Lorenzo asks Carly why she saved him. Carly, Dillon and Georgie take Lorenzo back to his apartment. Georgie leaves after promising not to say anything. Dillon remains at the apartment. Lorenzo asks Carly why she saved him, was it to protect someone? She asks him not to retaliate and to leave Port Charles. He promises not to retaliate against Sonny and Jason. Carly tells Lorenzo that he saved her and now they were even. Meanwhile, "Lily" is about to knock on the door, when she overhears Carly's voice. Instead, she hides. Carly leaves Dillon with Lorenzo, not seeing "Lily" in the shadows. Dillon asks Lorenzo if it bothers him that he was almost killed. He tells Dillon that he was careless, but he will look back on tonight and realize not what he lost, but what he gained. He tells Dillon that he needs to do that with everything in life. After they leave, "Lily"" arrives at Lorenzo's apartment and he asks her about her progress. She tells him that she didn't have to speak, because Sonny talked for her. Lorenzo tells her that Sonny is going to get back his dead wife and in return he will take Carly.

Back at the penthouse, Carly tells Sonny that she saved Lorenzo's life, because she didn't want Jason to be arrested for murder. Sonny tells Carly that Jason didn't kill Lorenzo, and that he found him almost dead. He tells her that he thought she was with Courtney instead Carly was running around in alleys, putting herself in danger and saving his enemy. She tried to tell him that she saved him because she wanted to save Jason, but Sonny accuses her of saving him because Carly has feelings for Lorenzo, because she cares about him. She recollects the night's events back to Sonny and how she almost left him, but she couldn't. They took him back to his apartment, he promised that he would not retaliate. He tells her that one day, he is not going to be able to get over the anger. Elsewhere, Marcella/Lily is practicing her speech, learning how to speak like Lily. She tells Lorenzo that becoming Lily and haunting Sonny is not going to win Carly's heart. Lorenzo tells her that the plan is to convince Sonny that his family is in danger. She asks him how he met Carly. He tells her that he wanted to use Carly as leverage against Sonny, and they made a connection. He tells her that Carly deserves better than Sonny and he wishes that he would have met her under different circumstances. He tells her that he admires Carly and that he wants her in his life. Lorenzo tells her that she needs to pay Sonny another visit, but she tells him that she cannot. Lily tells Lorenzo that Carly would hate him if she ever found out what he is doing to her family. Lorenzo tells her that he doesn't like what he is doing, but it is necessary.

Down at the docks, Jason meets with Lorenzo and tells him that Stefan was the one who tried to kill him and he acted alone. They agree to continue the truce. Jason leaves and Lorenzo calls Capelli, who is arresting Stefan and instructs him to kill him. Capelli tells him that it shouldn't be a problem. Sonny returns home and Lily is standing out in the terrace. He walks over and opens the door. He asks her what she is trying to tell him, but Carly comes down stairs. He closes the door. She asks him to come upstairs. Carly shows Sonny a picture of Sonny and Lily that she found in the living room. Sonny denies getting the picture out, claiming that the last time Sonny saw that particular picture was a couple of weeks after Lily died. Alcazar meets with his "new Lily" {Marcella} at the cemetery and explains that he has concocted a scheme to get Sonny to keep looking for Lily's spirit at the cemetery, since the new Lily worries about Sonny tumbling to their scam so long as Lily continues to appear on Sonny's terrace. Carly follows Sonny to the cemetery. Carly watches from hiding and overhears as Sonny insists that the cemetery attendant show him Lily's body before he allows the cemetery staff to re-seal Lily's grave. When the attendant leaves, Carly steps out of the shadows and lets Sonny know that she followed him. Sonny finally confides to Carly that he has been seeing visions of Lily. As Sonny explains that he believes that Lily is appearing because she is trying to warn Sonny of an impending tragedy, Carly gently suggests that perhaps Sonny is seeing Lily because Lily is trying to reassure Sonny that it is okay to feel free to love the family Sonny now has. As Sonny hugs Carly, he looks over Carly's shoulder and sees Carly's name on Lily's gravestone. But, after Sonny looks away for a minute, he again sees Lily's name on the gravestone. Later, when Sonny and Carly get ready to leave, Carly walks back for a last look at Lily's grave. When Sonny looks up, he sees "Lily" and Marcella (the “Lily” impersonator} whispers: "She will never understand!"

On the docks Stefan waits to meet someone. Capelli, the cop working for Alcazar comes from his hideout around the corner to take a shot at Stefan. However, A man grabs him around the neck from behind and knocks him out. The man is revealed to be Coleman who is there to meet with Stefan. He makes a remark about how someone is out gunning for Stefan. Stefan tells him he needs him to find him some new identification and papers to help him get out of the country and wants him to find someone to kill Alcazar for him as well. Coleman explains that he isn't in the killing business. He suggests that Stefan find someone else to do that kind of dirty work for him. Dillon overhears them talking about a hitman to kill Alcazar. He goes back to Kelly's. He finds Alcazar outside later and tells him he has information for him that he is willing to give him but it will cost him. Alcazar is amused by Dillon and tells him to tell him anyway and he'll decide what the information is worth. Dillon tells him he overheard Stefan trying to hire someone to kill him. Alcazar asks him how much that information is worth to him. Dillon rattles off a price that is identical to how much he needs to buy the concert tickets. Alcazar takes out some money and gives him a huge amount and advises him not to be friends with someone like him.

"Lily" appears again at the gate to the cemetery. Sonny asks her what she wants to tell him. He figures it has something to do with his unborn child. She tells him that something is wrong with his baby's heart. At GH, Carly waits for the results of her ultrasound. Sonny shows up to tell Carly that he saw "Lily" again and that there is something wrong with the baby's heart. Dr. Meadows comes into the room and tells Sonny that he is correct and that their baby has a whole in its heart between the right and left atrium. Jason discovers "Lily's" footprints, causing him to believe that she's not the ghostly vision Sonny has made her out to be.

Marcella starts to feel badly for her part in Alcazar's scheme to manipulate Sonny into leaving Carly. Sonny asks Lily what he can do to keep Carly and their baby safe. Sonny becomes alarmed when the "Lily" impostor hints that Carly is in danger from Sonny's enemies just as Lily and her unborn baby had also been in danger from Sonny's enemies! Sonny leaps to the conclusion that Carly is in mortal danger at Luke's Place and rushes out of the cemetery. In the meantime, Faith slips in to Luke's Place and keeps Alcazar informed via cell phone. After Sonny leaves the cemetery, Fake Lily complains to Alcazar that their plan is not working! But, when Lorenzo learns that Sonny rushed out to 'rescue' Carly at Luke's Place, Lorenzo proclaims that his plan is working perfectly! Carly is shocked when Sonny suddenly bursts into the Club and demands that Carly leave the party immediately. While Bobbie and the rest of the guests puzzle over Sonny's agitated appearance, Faith reports to Alcazar that their plan is working beautifully.

Sonny and Carly return to the Penthouse and, when Carly learns that the "tip" that Carly was in danger came from "Lily's Ghost", Carly implores Sonny to realize that they are dealing with no ghost and that someone very REAL is setting Sonny up to believe that Sonny is seeing Lily's spirit! After Max reports that there was nothing wrong with any of the cars or in the parking lot, Sonny implores Carly to quit fighting Sonny's efforts to keep Carly and her baby safe! Although Carly assures Sonny that nothing is going to happen to her or her baby, Sonny announces that he must move out of the Penthouse, in order to protect Carly's life and the life of their baby.

Sonny is eating on the terrace at the Port Charles Grill. Alcazar comes over and sits at his table. He tells him he learned Sonny registered for a room at the hotel and questions his loyalty to Carly. Sonny tells him he has his reasons and that he will see him dead before he will allow him to have his wife. Alcazar leaves with a smug look on his face. He shows up at Kelly's and sits down at Carly's table. He tells her he knows Sonny moved out of their home to stay at the hotel and asks about the baby. Carly gives him the cold shoulder and tells him that it is only temporary and that they still love each other despite what it looks like. She gets a call and ignores him. She is surprised by the call (Note: Jason & Courtney call her to come to France for their wedding, scenes not shown).

After Sonny boards his private plane for the return trip, Sonny is surprised when Carly suddenly shows up on Sonny's plane. Lorenzo has made arrangements to sabotage Sonny's plane. After Sonny and Carly's plane takes off, Lorenzo receives word that Carly also boarded Sonny's plan at the last moment. Lorenzo orders his associate to warn Sonny's pilot to turn the plane around, but learns that the plane is too far out over the sea to return safely to land before it runs out of fuel! A tortured Lorenzo confides to Lily that he is afraid that Carly will now die because of Lorenzo's actions. Lorenzo hopes that the plane will land safely, since Carly is on board. He hears from the tower that the plane has made contact and there may be a chance of the plane landing safely. He tells Marcella that if the plane lands safely, he will never risk losing Carly again. Suddenly, the plane begins to violently shake and Carly falls on the floor. Sonny picks her up and calls the pilot. He tells Sonny that the plane is running out of fuel and they may not make it to land. The pilot informs Sonny that the coastline is in sight and he is going to attempt a crash landing. She tells him how glad she is that they shared a life together and that he means everything to her. Sonny tells her that he didn't feel anything before he met her. And she filled his life. The phone rings and the pilot tells him that they are attempting a crash landing. They hold hands as the plane begins to shake. The plane lands and the pilot tells them that they need to evacuate the plane.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo checks on the status of the plane and tries to cover his tracks to ensure that the fuel leak does not lead back to him. On the ground, Sonny tells Carly that she needs to go home alone. She tells him that they are both fine and Lily's warning did not come true. He tells her that it came too close, since he was supposed to be on that plane by himself. He refuses to put Carly in jeopardy. He tells her that he is going to file for divorce and walks away. She calls for him and Lorenzo appears.
