DVD #19A4/10 Steve and family search for Stephanie. Kayla waits for Steve to arrive and gets concerned when he doesn't, unaware of what is going on. Steve goes to see Kayla, and she senses something is wrong, but Steve covers as he hides the kidnapping from Kayla. Jack talks to Steve about the search for Stephanie.

4/11 Roman and Steve find the hotel Sheila and Stephanie were at. Sheila has left the baby bracelet behind. Steve thinks about Kayla and Stephanie and has flashbacks to holding his daughter.

Meanwhile at the jail, Kayla worries to Jody (her guard) that Steve is late coming to see her for the second time in a row. She worries that something is wrong with Stephanie as that is the only reason Steve would be late. Jody tells her she is right to be worried about Stephanie and shows her the newspaper article stating the baby had been kidnapped. Jodi takes a desperate Kayla to make a secret phone call home to Steve but of course he doesn’t answer as he is out searching for his daughter. The warden catches her in her office making her call and is excused this time for the extenuating circumstances. A worried Kayla tells Jody that she has to escape prison and she needs her help.

4/12 Kayla tells the sympathetic guard, Jody, that she has to get out of jail tonight. She is told she is being transferred to a women’s prison upstate that very night, as the guard speaks to her in code. That night, the friendly guard sits in the back seat with Kayla. She takes off her handcuffs and hands her a gun. A nervous Kayla orders the guard driving to pull over as she waves the gun at her. The friendly guard later drops Kayla off and tells her that she owed her family as Roman got her brother off of a phony murder charge. Kayla will have to walk 20 miles to get to Salem. She can’t wait to get to Steve and find out why he didn’t tell her about the kidnapping. The guard wishes her well and hopes she finds her sweet little baby girl.

4/13 Steve hears the news bulletin on the radio that felon Kayla Brady has escaped from prison. The look of shock on his face as they announce she is considered armed and dangerous is priceless. Steve goes to the jail and demands to know what happened to his wife. The guard, Jody, that helped her, tells him that she helped Kayla escape. She tells him that Kayla is headed home. Steve knows he has to get home before she does. When he arrives, there are two police officers there to search the house. Kayla arrives home and stands outside the door, wearing sunglasses and a scarf covering her head.

Victor plays the tape of Isabella arguing with her the night she died. Roman is hiding in the attic out of sight. He overhears as Isabella remembers the confrontation with her sister, when she fell and died. Isabella killed Marina, NOT Kayla!

4/16 Roman arrests Isabella for killing Marina (she is soon cleared of murder).

Kayla is quietly peeks in the house and overhears the two cops finishing their search. She ducks back outside as they warn him that aiding and abetting is a crime. Steve gets mouthy with them and they pause outside to discuss that they know Steve won’t cooperate with them. The cop reports to his buddy once they are outside, that he placed a tap on their phone and the house will be under 24 hour surveillance. He knows Steve won’t cooperate and will help his wife. He then points out the back up officer that just arrived and is parked across the street. Kayla is listening to their plotting from the bushes where she is hiding.

Kayla heads to the airport. She notices a woman with the baby board a flight to Australia. She then sees the police sketch of Sheila and realizes this is the woman who stole her baby. Steve receives a note from Kayla telling him to bring the passports and meet her at the international terminal. When Steve arrives, Kayla bumps into him and picks up the passport he dropped. She hands him the plane ticket that she says he must have dropped. So after they exchange items they go their separate ways. They meet up on the plane and Kayla demands to know why he didn’t tell her Stephanie was kidnaped. He fills her in, and then sweetly leans into her and kisses her forehead.

4/18 Roman arrests Victor for obstructing justice. (Not included, Isabella is cleared of Marina’s murder).

4/19 Bo roars back on his motorcycle to save a damsel in distress in Australia (not knowing this is Sheila who has kidnapped baby Stephanie). He then runs into Steve who is jumped at a bar and saves the day. Bo tells Steve that he is sorry to hear about Stephanie. Steve wants to take him to see Kayla. Bo says it isn’t a good time as he is being followed. He tells Steve that Hope is taking Sean Douglas and heading to another country. Steve shows Bo the flyer of the woman who has kidnapped Stephanie. Bo recognizes her as the woman he saved earlier that day. He tells Steve that the baby was fussy and the woman said she was going to take her to the doctor. Steve rushes out to go check out every doctor’s office and Bo joins him, “Here we go again!”

4/20 Bo and Steve find the doctor that is treating Stephanie. Bo and Steve talk to a doctor about Stephanie, as he says that he may have seen the baby with Sheila. Bo keeps Steve calm and from flying off. The doctor wants to call the police. Steve yells at him to tell him what he knows right now! Steve calms down and begs him to tell him anything he knows about his daughter. The doctor reports he ran some tests and that Sheila will be calling him later for the results. Bo and Steve head to the bar while they wait to hear back from the doctor. They catch up and laugh about being a couple of daddies now. Steve asks where they have been? He points out that there are a couple of sets of grandparents back in Salem eager to see his little boy. Bo is mysterious as he says being in Salem is the last place he wants to be right now. He reports being relieved that he got Hope and Shawn D. out of Australia and they are safe now. Steve asks what trouble he has gotten himself into.

A stranger approaches and gives Bo a note, saying it is from his wife who is out back. Bo heads outside to see if Hope is actually there. Steve stops and insists that he will go with him in case it is a set up. Bo blusters that he can take care of it by himself. Steve points out that he doesn’t have to anymore. Outside, they see the figure of a brunette woman as a car runs her down as they stare in horror thinking it is Hope.

4/23 Bo and Steve rush over to the woman and find it is a dummy. Two guys jump them, but Steve is there to help fight them off. One of the goons pulls a gun, and starts pulling Bo away to a waiting car, trying to kidnap Bo. When the sound of approaching police sirens is heard, the goons take off.

Back at the pub, Bo tells Steve that is was definitely a set up and someone is sure after him. He is glad that Hope and Shawn are safe or at least he hopes they are. Steve urges him to check on them. Bo reports back that he talked to Hope and they are fine. Steve wants to know who is after him? Bo is evasive. Frustrated, Steve warns him not to play games with him as they are both in trouble. Bo grudgingly tells him that Victor has been having him followed but Victor was not behind the set up in the alley. Steve doesn’t understand why Bo thinks Victor isn’t capable of coming after him. They argue and get heated and Bo finally admits that Victor is his father. Bo reports that the paperwork he gave him indicating Bo wasn’t his son was a lie. Victor did it for Caroline. Bo shares that this is why he doesn’t want to go back to Salem, he doesn’t want Victor anywhere near Shawn D. Bo is puzzled as he has no idea who is after him now. Steve offers to help if he needs it. The boys bond, and are obviously glad to be back in each other’s lives.

5/1 Steve arrives to see Stephanie’s doctor. He reports that Stephanie has a heart murmur which can be a serious condition, but it is treatable but she needs medical attention immediately. He set up an appointment for Sheila to meet with him to go over the test results.

Meanwhile, Sheila reads a newspaper article that Kayla has been released of all charges and her and Steve are in Australia searching for their kidnapped baby. Spooked, Sheila calls the doctor for the results but she refuses to bring Stephanie in for treatment. Steve recognises a train whistle in the background. When Steve arrives at the station, he sees the newspaper article declaring that the charges against Kayla have been dropped. Steve rushes back to the hotel to tell Kayla the wonderful news! Roman got her cleared and she is totally free! She rushes into his arms in relief and disbelief! He fills her in on the heart murmur diagnosis and assures her they are going to get their daughter back! He holds her in his arms and tells her they have been given a second chance and he isn’t going to blow that.

5/7 When Steve and Kayla return to their hotel, they find a note from Sheila slipped under the door. Steve reads it and is disturbed as Sheila claims to love her baby and if they love her baby that they will let her stay with Sheila as she loves her as her own. Steve suddenly stops reading the letter though Kayla insists that he continue. Sheila threatens to kill herself and Stephanie if they pursue taking the baby away from her. Steve calls Marcus and tells him the baby has a heart murmur. He asks Marcus to come to Melbourne to be there once they get Stephanie back. Of course Marcus will immediately fly to Australia to join them. Sheila calls and asks Steve if he received her letter? He says he does and gets angry and starts demanding she return his child.

Kayla beseeches him silently with her eyes as she knows this isn’t going to help. She takes the phone from him and softly commiserates with Sheila over the horrible loss of losing her baby that Kayla knows she loved. She gently and quietly asks her to please return Stephanie to her. Sheila warns her that Stephanie will die without her and Stephanie doesn’t want to live without her. She warns Kayla that she will take Stephanie and jump off a bridge with her.

5/9 Kayla worries that Sheila is on the edge and if they push her, she could kill herself and take Stephanie with her as she has threatened. Kayla wants to pull back but Steve reassures her there is nothing to be afraid of. He guarantees that Stephanie is coming home with them! He tells her they are going to make it! They are thrilled when Marcus arrives! He tells them he didn’t come alone, and Grace arrives. They are relieved she joined them as she knows the area and has contacts in Australia. Marcus states this might just be the edge they need. Marcus tells them that this could be a temporary murmur brought on by fever. He says if that is the case, that she could make a complete recovery. Grace starts making calls to her police and medical contacts. Soon she gets info about a free clinic that Sheila may have taken Stephanie to for treatment. Kayla’s spirits are boosted now they have a lead as they rush out heading to the clinic.

When they arrive, the nurse identifies that Sheila was just there. She is headed to a hospital. Once there, her and Stephanie are taken into a treatment room. When Steve and Kayla follow, Kayla pauses in the waiting room and tells Steve that Stephanie is there, she can feel her!

5/10 Steve and Kayla show the doctor a picture of Stephanie and the flyer of her being kidnapped. Steve gives Sheila’s name and her alias. Unfortunately there are no new infants scheduled for appointments, and no one under Sheila’s name (s). A nurse comes out and tells the doctor that a patient is waiting. He is shocked to go in and find Sheila with Stephanie waiting for him. The doctor goes back to the waiting room and tells Steve and Kayla that Sheila is there with Stephanie. When they rush into the treatment room, Sheila has snuck out the back but left Stephanie’s little pink blanket behind. Kayla grabs the blanket and holds it tenderly as Steve and Marcus run out to try to catch her. Steve has a meltdown in frustration over her continuing to slip away as they get close to her. Grace calls a friend who works in media to get a news report about the missing Stephanie on the evening news. Steve reassures Kayla this could be the break they have been waiting for.

5/15 Grace arrives with hope as she wants Steve and Kayla to go on the evening news to do a live shot pleading for Stephanie's return. Afterwards, they wait anxiously for any leads. Steve reassures her that she has a bond with Stephanie and she would know if anything was wrong. Steve gets a phone call from a man who says he might be able to help in the search for Stephanie. 5/16 The male caller tells Steve that he believes he has seen Stephanie. He wasn’t sure as the lady says the baby is a boy, and the woman had an English accent. Steve says the accent could have been faked, and she could have lied about the baby’s gender. Kayla asks for the phone and asks the man to come to their hotel and look at pictures of their baby to see if he can identify her as the baby he saw. The guy reports they are headed into the Outback, and warns Steve how dangerous that could be.

Sheila pours her heart out to a waitress in a diner. She pleads that she is on the run from an abusive husband who might hurt Stephanie when he is in a rage. She describes Steve as her abusive hubby. She agrees to hide them. Steve and Kayla soon arrive at the diner, showing the flyer. The waitress is very short with them and tells him that she hasn’t seen them. Steve is suspicious about the cold reception they have gotten and says something is fishy about this place.

5/22 Steve and Kayla return to the diner looking for information. Steve sees the waitress drop a little pink sock and Kayla recognises it as Stephanie’s. The waitress tells everyone he is an abuse husband. He tells her that Kayla is his wife and Sheila kidnapped their baby, that Kayla is her mother. Steve yells at the girl until she tells him where Sheila is hiding out. Sheila is shown with the baby and the woman who is hiding her is worried about the baby’s health and says she doesn’t look right. Sheila insists she can’t take her to the doctor as her husband will find them. The woman says they can go to her own doctor. Steve and Kayla arrive at the couple’s home. Steve tells the husband that they are there for their baby. Kayla tells him that the woman lied to him, that the baby is their daughter and she took their baby from their own home. Steve says he is going to get his daughter and the guy pulls a gun on him.

5/23 Steve knocks the gun out of the guy’s hand. Kayla rushes into the house and sees the bassinet. Kayla rushes around the house desperately looking but tells Steve that Stephanie isn’t there. Two police officers rush in and hold Steve at gun point. He tells the officers that this guy is hiding their kidnapped baby in his house. Steve is arrested and is taken to jail. The police do not believe Steve’s story. Gail and Marcus arrive and Gail shows the officer the newspaper article about the kidnapping. She offers to put the guy in touch with her local police contact who can verify Steve and Kayla are the parents. When Sheila returns to her hideout, the couple tell her that Steve and Kayla showed up and Steve has been arrested. She is desperate to get out of town before they return.

5/25 Steve has a flashback to holding Stephanie after she was born. He starts screaming and yelling to let him out of there. Kayla arrives and he is released from jail. The officers tell them they are going to arrest Sheila for kidnapping. Sheila asks to borrow the woman’s car to take Stephanie back to the doctor, though she is planning her escape. The woman still believes Sheila is the baby’s mother and Steve her abusive husband.

Steve, Kayla, and the police arrive. They search the house for the woman who they tell her has kidnapped the baby. Kayla begs them to tell her where the baby is and they admit that she is gone and has taken the baby with her. The police determine they will start the search for her in the morning, that it is too dark now. The gang stop when they spot Sheila’s car and comment on it still being warm so she can’t be far away. They split up to search and Kayla finds Sheila holding Stephanie on a bridge. She warns Kayla not to come any closer or she will jump off the bridge and take the baby with her.

5/28 The boys do not find any trace of Sheila. Marcus want to call the police for help but Steve thinks it is a waste of time. He observes that the cops won’t come until the morning. Sheila tells Kayla she can’t live without the baby, and she will take her with her. Kayla begs her not to jump as Sheila cries they will take Stephanie away from her and put her in jail. Kayla pleads for her daughter’s life and Kayla softly tells her that she isn’t her baby. Sheila cries that Stephanie loves her. Kayla reminds her that she gave birth to the baby and she belongs with her. Sheila points out that Steve and Kayla can have another baby.

As Sheila becomes more desperate and makes a move towards the railing, Kayla stops her and tells her that she wins. She can’t bear to see anything happen to her baby. Kayla promises that she loves her baby so much that she would do anything to protect her, and would do anything to save her life. Sheila is touched that she will make the sacrifice to save her life. She promises that she will be better off with Sheila, she doesn’t even know Kayla. Kayla talks her into letting her hold her baby one last time. Kayla cries tears of relief and joy at holding her daughter again. She hugs and kisses her and tells her how much she loves her and how big she has gotten. Sheila demands that this is long enough and she will send them all into the river if Kayla doesn’t give the baby back. Kayla can’t bring herself to do it, and holds her daughter crying, “no!”. Steve runs up and grabs Sheila and they both go through the rickety railing into the water below.

Kayla looks over in terror at Steve’s fall. He soon returns to her and Marcus informs that Sheila will be okay physically, she is in shock. Steve gives Marcus a heartfelt thank you for all of his help. Sweet scene as Steve gets tears in his eyes as Kayla places the baby in a relieved Steve’s arms. Steve promises Kayla they will have years and years together with their little girl. In the morning, they enjoy being with their baby and how big she has gotten. Kayla worries that Stephanie doesn’t remember her. Steve reassures her that they have a special bond. Steve is going to call Jo and Kayla asks if Jo can arrange a surprise homecoming get together and surprise the rest of their family.

5/30 Kayla and Steve head home with Stephanie. As the plane comes into Salem, Marcus and Steve talk about all of their dreams coming true and Steve getting everything he ever wanted. He can’t believe he is a family man now, and Marcus is a doctor!

The Bradys gather at Shane’s home for a family meeting. Jo comes into the room and tells everyone that she gathered everyone here for a surprise and she brings Steve into the room. He stops everyone and says that Kayla has a surprise for them and she enters the room with her sweet baby girl in her arms. The whole family is over joyed at having them home, and with their baby girl. Everyone oohs and ahhs over how adorable baby Stephanie is. Bo meets his niece and tells her how hard it was not being able to see her in Australia. Kayla thanks Roman for all of his help as this wouldn’t have happened without him. Jo admits to Kayla that she feels terrible, and so guilty for letting Sheila take Stephanie and not being able to stop her. Kayla assures her not to blame herself as this wasn’t her fault.

Max holds the baby as she makes happy squeals. Steve thanks Jack for everything he did for them, and he helped a lot. Adrienne tells him that this is one of the happiest days of her life and shares that her and Justin are getting married again. They didn’t want to go ahead with the ceremony until Steve and Kayla were home, now it is planned for Friday! Steve thanks Roman as well. He admits that he accused Roman of putting Isabella ahead of his own sister and he was wrong. He knows now how hard Roman worked to get Kayla cleared of the charges. He would rather be working with Roman than against him. Roman tells him that he has a business proposition for him. Steve gives a nice little speech about now knowing what it is like to have a real family. Kayla joins him and says how much she loves everyone and how lucky little Stephanie is to have them for her family.

Later that night, Steve and Kayla enjoy being home in their own bed together. She turns on the baby monitor, so happy to hear the sound of her daughter cooing. Steve gets amorous as he has missed being with Kayla. He tells her how beautiful she is, and she tells him that she is happy. Steve brings her back her engagement ring and puts it on her finger. He welcomes her home, Mrs. Johnson. He tells her while they may not be legally married, as far as he is concerned they have been married all along and he can’t wait to make it official.

5/31 Steve and Kayla wake up in their own bed, after being away for so long. Kayla calls Bo and asks to have his family meet hers in the park. Bo and Hope meet up with Steve and Kayla at the park. Steve talks to Bo privately and asks him what is going on with him and Victor? He demands to know what is going on. Bo warns him to drop it, that he is keeping his family safe and to back off. Jack & Jennifer set up a romantic dinner for Steve & Kayla, and then babysit Stephanie.

6/1 Adrienne & Justin's second wedding day begins. Steve and Kayla arrive to drop off supplies. Justin tells them that he needs both of them and asks them to stand up for them, Steve as his Best Man and Kayla as the Matron of Honor. Steve questions that maybe Justin might want someone else instead of Steve, but Justin won’t hear of it. He is building a new life focusing on his family and Steve is a big part of that as his brother-in-law. Steve agrees and says its his wedding. He knows he has made mistakes in the past, but he is leaving all of Victor and those mistakes in his past as Vic walks in and overhears.

6/4 Adrienne & Justin’s second wedding ceremony as Kayla and Steve stand up for them. Afterwards everyone is invited to the Curtis mansion for the reception. Steve takes Kayla in his arms to dance, they look wonderful together so happy and he looks dashing in his grey tux. Roman interrupts to ask if Steve is going to accept the job? Kayla asks what job? Roman tells her that he invited Steve to join the Salem PD.

Back home, Steve asks Kayla what she thinks about Roman’s job offer? She tells him that she thinks he should take it. She knows he isn’t the kind of guy to work 9-5 behind a desk and thinks this could be good for him. He is relieved as he thinks he would be good at it and he wants to provide for his family. Kayla does worry that it could be dangerous. He promises to be careful for her and for Stephanie.

6/6 Abe arrives as Kayla and Steve are enjoying family time together. He tells Steve he needs to leave for his special police training tonight as he starts tomorrow. Abe is very positive and tells Steve that he thinks with his street sense and his contacts that he will be a great fit for the job. Steve thanks him for recommending him and supporting his application. Kayla rushes Steve out the door to go say goodbye to his friends, as he looks at her oddly as she tries to get him out of the house.

Hope arrives as Kayla called and asked her to come over. Kayla tells her that she would like to make it a special night for her and Steve and asks Hope if she can babysit Stephanie for the evening. Hope asks Kayla if she would take care of Shawn for a few days while she is out of town? Hope is planning on getting out of town to clear her head, she is running out of ideas on how to keep her family together. Kayla encourages her that Bo loves her. Hope knows Bo has a reason for pushing her away, but she doesn’t know why. Kayla suggests that Bo is trying to protect her and Shawn Douglas. Hope knows that, but she wants to be part of it and help him. Hope vows to do whatever it takes to win him back.

Steve shows up at the clinic and tells Marcus that he is leaving town. Marcus is grumpy as Grace said goodbye as she is heading back to Australia. Marcus admits that he wants to find what Steve has with Kayla. Steve encourages him and advises that love just hit him upside the head when he wasn’t expecting it and the same thing will happen for Marcus. Steve receives a note with a yellow rose, and tells Marcus that he has a date with the most beautiful woman in the world as he grins. The note says, “At the loft tonight, rent a tux”.

Steve arrives looking quite dashing in his black tux. Kayla is dressed in formal wear and looks amazing as she blows out a match after lighting candles. He tells her how beautiful she looks. She asks Steve to dance and he quips, “What kind of dancing did you have in mind?” When we see them again, clothes are strewn everywhere and they are in each other’s arms as they enjoy the after glow of being together with more and more kisses. They love each other so much, and are so happy to be together and having their baby home. Steve laments that he has to leave tonight.

When Kayla and Steve return home, Kayla encourages Shawn D. That he will be staying with them for a few days. Hope interrupts to clarify that she doesn’t know how long she will be gone and says her goodbyes to her son. Kayla worries that Hope is leaving town to see her father, and hugs Hope goodbye (their last scene together before Hope’s death). After Hope has left, Steve comes downstairs with his suitcase after putting both children to bed. He worries if taking care of two children won’t be too much for her, but she assures him she will be fine. Steve is going to give this his best as he wants to make her proud of him. She tells him that she is already proud of him. He laughs at the idea of him being a cop, “Can you believe that?” They tell each other I love you, and kiss goodbye as he heads out into the night. He returns for one more kiss!

6/22 Marcus arrives at Kayla’s door and helps surprise her with Steve’s return home, bearing a bouquet of yellow roses. She is thrilled to see them and let the kissing begin! Marcus takes Steve’s suitcase upstairs and will check on the children. Marcus brings the kids downstairs as little Shawn couldn’t wait to see Steve, he is eager to know if his parents came home with Steve. Steve has to tell him no but that he is needed here to help Aunt Kayla with Stephanie.

When Shawn D. Is out of the room, Kayla confides in Steve that everyone is worried as no one has heard from any of the passengers on the “Loretta”. Shane arrives and Steve talks to him privately and asks if he has heard from anyone on the cruise? Shane says no but he wanted to talk to Steve before calling the ISA. Steve offers to call his Merchant Marine connection. Steve reports that the last time the ship was seen was before a big storm. Shane calls the ISA next.

Kayla and Marcus take the kids to a carnival and meet Carly on the pier. Carly tells Kayla she plans on applying for an internship.

6/27 Shane goes to see Steve about working on finding the Loretta. While Steve makes a call, Shane tells Kayla that he loves Kim but doesn’t know if he will ever get his family back. Steve reports the Loretta is missing. Shane is checking with all of his connections in the Mediterrean. He thinks Johnny Carelli may be their best chance. Steve receives a telegram that the storm is lifting and they can start searching for the Loretta. He tells her how beautiful she is and how incredibly lucky he is and kisses her sweetly and tells her, “I love you baby!”.

6/28 Steve and Kayla are enjoying some morning delight until they are interrupted with an insistent knock on their bedroom door. It is Shawn D. who really misses his parents. They assure him that his parents miss him even more. Steve asks where his parents would take him to cheer up and he reports his dad always took him fishing. Steve laughs that he woke up this morning wanting to go fishing, and Kayla chimes in that she did as well! After Shawn D. Walks out, Steve kisses and Kayla and demands that she not make ANY plans for nap time! LOL. They continue kissing as they fish with Shawn D. down on the pier. Marcus strolls up and introduces Steve to Carly. She invites Steve and Kayla to join them at the environmental rally this afternoon. Kayla stumbles a bit as she makes excuses, Shawn D. will need his nap.

They all wind up grabbing some chowder at the Fish Market. Carly asks about their family, and mentions Steve’s brother. Steve is very quiet as he softly says, “Jack”. Kayla says that Jack is away right now on a cruise, along with both of her brothers and Shawn D.’s mother. When everyone gets quiet, Carly asks if anything is wrong? Kayla tells her that the cruise was do back a few days ago and they haven’t heard anything from them and can’t get through to them. Kayla says all they know is there was a pretty bad storm. Steve assures them all that it is a double hulled ship and is a tough ship.

Caroline holds Stephanie, raving about how beautiful she is. Kayla comforts her father as he tells her he can’t stop thinking about how things were between him and Bo before he left. He wants a chance to make it right with Bo. When Shawn approaches, his proud grandpa picks him up. Kayla gets a twinkle in her eye and asks her pop if he can watch the kids as her and Steve have something they have to do. At home, they slowly undress each other as they seductively talk about pre-school. He holds a yellow rose up to her lips and after staring into her eyes for a long moment, kisses her passionately, tenderly. Later they are STILL kissing, and find a huge stuffed cow in their bed.

Dvd #19B 7/2 Steve and Kayla tell Shane the Loretta sank, but Shane says he's been in contact with it's computer. Steve gathers the families together, the Hortons, the Brady’s, the Johnsons. He has to tell them that the Loretta sunk. He promises that he and Shane are working on their location and as soon as they find them that they will go and bring them all home. Shane comes in and tells everyone that Toscano is still alive and they believe he caused the shipwreck. Alice worries that their loved ones are in danger. Shane assures them that he believes they are alive and he and Steve are going to get them back!

7/9 Shane and Steve work on finding the castaways. Shane declares that Johnny is their best bet. When he returns, Steve tells him that he didn’t get any information out of Nick (this scene didn’t air). Shane fills Steve in and his vows to go with him. There are people out there that are lost that he cares about and he won’t rest until he finds them. Shane and Steve make plans to head to the island in Italy.

7/10 Steve surprises Kayla with flowers, candles, and a romantic dinner. She asks what this is all about? He tells her they are celebrating their anniversary. She says she thought they weren’t celebrating that anniversary any longer (since the marriage is invalid due to his marriage to Marina). He says then they can just celebrate something else as he hands her champagne, and toasts, “To starting over” and hands her a ring box. It contains a cigar ban

d and she declares that she loves it.

He promises her that the third time is the charm. He tells her they are going to make it this time. They are going to get married and stay married, they are home free! He asks her to marry him again and she says yes! She agrees that she will again and again and again. They tell each other, “I love you”. She asks what the catch is? He admits that he was going to ask her to marry him anyway but he decided to do it now as he has to go to Italy with Shane and they are leaving today. He tells her they have a great lead that if it pans out, they could bring everyone home. Sweet scene as Steve says his goodbyes to baby Stephanie and spends sometime alone rocking and talking to her.

7/11 Shane and Steve find the place Ernesto held Johnny captive, as they search for leads on the castaways. Shane locates a computer chip that he is confident will lead them to Toscano! They pour over the info looking for a clue. They find maps of the islands but Shane says would take forever to search all of them. They have the code for the radio and decide to try to make radio contact on that frequency. Ernesto realizes that someone has tapped into the computer and tells his goons they have to move fast. Shane and Steve try to contact the survivors via shortwave radio.

7/12 Kayla goes to see Kim with the baby and Shawn-Douglas, as they talk about the situation.

Shane and Steve pick up a distress call, as Steve says that is Jennifer. Shane is frustrated that he can’t get through to them. Steve encourages him that at least they now know Jennifer is alive and he believes the rest of their friends are too. Jack and Jen finally reach Shane and Steve on the radio. Jack tells them that while everyone is alive they are in grave danger from Ernesto Toscano. Shane and Steve narrow down the location to a ring of islands. They ask Jack to make the biggest bonfire he can so they can spot which island. Jack urges them again to hurry and tells him that Bo and Roman have gone into Ernesto’s compound. Shane tells Steve, “Lets go find ourselves a chopper!”

7/13 Shane and Steve arrive on the island in a helicopter. Steve thinks he spots Jack and Jenn by the fire and move to land in the clearing. Jack and Jen are excited to see the helicopter and begin flagging it down. Jennifer is thrilled to see them and runs into Shane’s arm. He congratulates them on doing such a great job on the radio so they could find them. A boat is on the way to take off the survivors. Jack tells them everyone else is in Ernesto’s compound.

Ernesto has Hope in suspended in a cage, over a barrel of acid. Hope cries that she wants Bo to tell Shawn Douglas that his mommie loves him. Bo promises that he will. She tells Bo how much they both mean to her as she sobs. She tells him how happy he has made her. She doesn’t want him to ever think even for a second that she was disappointed, loving him as been the greatest job of her life. He tells her that she is his life and he refuses to let her go that this isn’t the end. Ernesto cruelly tells them he wasn’t moved and wasn’t nearly touching enough to spare her. Something goes terribly wrong, the cage begins shaking and sparks start flying. Bo rushes to try to get to her as Hope screams for him. Roman grabs him and stops him just as the cage explodes taking Ernesto and Hope with it.

7/16 Shane and Steve hear the explosion. They immediately head into the fire to help their friends, their brother-in-laws. Shane and Steve find Roman and Bo and pull Bo off the guy he is fighting with. Shane arrests Ernesto’s goon and Bo heads off to find his wife with Steve right behind him. Bo and Steve have looked all over, Bo refuses to leave until he finds Hope. Bo has a flashback of her in the cage in her final moments. Once outside, Bo & Steve catch up to the others. Julie asks where is she? Steve shakes his head that he couldn’t find her. Julie cries no!

Shane wants to make arrangements to take everyone home. Bo refuses to leave until he finds his wife and he is firm that he isn’t leaving the island without her. Shane tries to convince him to let the ISA experts search, but he insists on also staying to find Hope. Steve determines to stay behind with his buddy. Roman and Isabella join the others and Shane tells that Bo is staying behind but he will be okay as Steve is staying with him.

7/18 Steve tells Bo he looks like hell and asks if he is alright? Two days Bo says they have searched everywhere for her and he refuses to leave until he finds her. Steve isn’t leaving without him and points out all the search parties have been over the whole island with no clues. Bo tells him that Hope had a premonition, a terribly feeling that something was going to happen to separate them. He swore to her that nothing would separate them and he is going to keep that promise. He can’t leave this island and if Steve wants to go back… Steve refuses again to leave him and says he is in it for the long haul. They head off to continue searching.

Bo tells Steve again that he made Hope a promise that they wouldn’t be separated and he is going to keep that promise. Bo yells this is all his fault. Steve comes up and asks why he thinks that? Bo says if he had just told her what was going on that she would have stayed home safe in Salem with Shawn D. Steve assures him that he did everything he could to protect his family and he has nothing to feel guilty about. He tells him if he wants to be mad to be mad at Toscano and not himself. He reminds him that Toscano was hell bent on getting his revenge against Vic and nothing Bo could have done to stop that.

Steve hears Bo sobbing his grief into the night and comes up and tries again to get him to come home. He offers to give him all the time in the world, months, years, if he thought it would help. Steve tells him it is time to face the fact that Hope isn’t there. He says it hurts him too but Hope is gone. Bo starts to attack him saying she isn’t gone. Steve asks him to accept that Hope is not on this island and asks Bo to accept that. Bo says she can’t just be nowhere like she never existed. He heartbrokenly asks Steve what he is going to do? Steve tells him that he is going to stop torturing himself on this island and go home to that little boy who needs his papa more than ever. Steve leaves to go get the chopper ready.

7/19 Kayla is holding Stephanie, talking to her about how proud she is of her and her daddy is coming home today. Steve enters declaring, “Daddy is home!”. Kayla tells him she managed while he was gone but she always misses him. Kayla asks about Hope, but Steve just sadly shakes his head. He tells her that Bo doesn’t believe Hope is dead. Kayla tries to hold onto the hope that she is still alive, maybe he is alive? He tells her he doesn’t think so. Kayla grieves as she grew up with Hope. Steve says even after all the terrible things he did to her, she still believed in him. Kayla admits that Hope advised her that Steve was worth all the struggle and it would be worth it in the end. Steve is touched, as she hadn’t told him that before. Kayla says she loved her and is really going to miss her. Kayla wishes she had a chance to say goodbye, and says maybe there is a way for the whole family to say their goodbyes to Hope.

Steve holds his baby and tells her how much he loves and missed her and how happy he is to be home. He calls her his “little sweetness”. Steve laments that he always reassures her momma that everything will be fine, but he knows that things happen and there are no guarantees for the future. We see Jack listening in from around the corner of the house as Steve kisses his baby girl and tells her that nothing is more important than family. Steve is surprised when he notices Jack. He is there to thank Steve for coming to the rescue and getting them off the island. Steve just wishes he could have done the same for Hope. Jack would like to find the words to say something to Bo, but he couldn’t. Steve notices Jack’s somber mood and asks him what is wrong. Jack tells him that something happened between him and Jennifer, he tried but Jennifer has this idea about them and she just keeps hanging in there.

Steve admits that when Kayla came into his life, that when he looked in the mirror he saw a bum but that isn’t what Kayla saw. He reassures Steve that maybe he has a chance with Jennifer. When Jack is going to take off, Steve invites Jack to stay and help while Steve gets her bottle ready. He hands Jack the baby and tells him after all she is his niece and Jack kisses her sweetly. Jack has gotten the baby to sleep in her bassinet. Steve watches him being so tender with his daughter. Steve is amazed at the change in Jack as at one time, he hated Jack’s guts. Jack seems relieved when Steve admits that he no longer hates him. Jack asks if he thinks Kayla will ever forgive him? Steve says that he can’t talk to Kayla about this, Jack can if he wants to but Steve doesn’t know. Steve warns him if Jack doesn’t make it right with Kayla, then he will never make it right for himself.

Kayla has just told Kim about Hope’s death and that Shane is back in town a few hours ago. Shane comes in with Bo. Kim is upset that Shane didn’t call and tell her and accuses him of avoiding her, Bo turns around and walks out. Kayla waits for Bo on the boat. He insists that Hope is alive out there somewhere. Kayla asks that Steve said there was no way she could have survived and asks him to accept that she is gone. She advises accepting her death is the only way he is going to heal and the people who loved her need the chance to grieve and say goodbye. He suggests that she do what she needs to do but he is going to look for his wife. Shawn D. runs up thrilled to see his father and asks where his mommy is?

7/20 Kayla and Steve arrive at the boat to get Bo to go with them to Hope’s memorial. He says he's not going, since he doesn't believe Hope is dead and he doesn’t see any reason to mourn. He insists that he is going to find Hope. Kayla looks at him with her eyes filed with love and heartbreak, and Steve just pulls her away and they leave.

People begin gathering for Hope's memorial. Steve and Kayla arrive and tell Caroline that Bo isn’t coming. Steve says no way is Bo ready to hear how sorry everyone is. Kayla tried to reach out to him but he isn’t ready. Mrs. H is horrified that he isn’t coming. Julie tells her that only Hope could get through to the stubborn Bo as Tom begins reciting a poem and speaks about his beautiful granddaughter. He invites everyone to share their memories of Hope. Jennifer speaks from the heart, and draws tears and smiles. Then Julie speaks as Bo finally shows up in the church. Melissa sings “Celebrate My Love”. The pain in Bo’s eyes as he thinks of Hope. Bo gets up to speak next. He acknowledges that all of their families are under one roof and Hope brought them all together. He is firm that he didn’t come there to say goodbye to her as he knows she isn’t dead. He knows it and Shawn Douglas knows that as well.

He gets chocked up as he says that isn’t why he is here. He knows they all came there to say they love Hope and they miss her. He loves and misses her too, an awful lot, as she cries. He doesn’t think she would be too happy if a bunch of people got together to feel bad about her and walks away sobbing. Roman gets up and grabs his brother and hugs him. Steve then hugs him, then Shawn approaches. Bo begs please lets not get into it right now. Shawn says it is okay and just hugs his son as Bo cries into his arms. Then his mom takes his face in her hands and tells her how sorry she is. He looks at his sisters and brother with tears running down his face.

7/26 Steve and Kayla take a stroll on the pier together. Steve is happy to spend time with his two girls. He says maybe Stephanie is dreaming about her momma’s wedding. Kayla suggests they do something modest given Hope’s death. He says whatever they do is okay just as long as it is soon. We see a mystery person watching and listening from the shadows. Steve has to go to a burglary arraignment. She worries after the threats the suspect made to Steve. He assures her, that these punks all talk the same. As Steve takes off, the mystery figure follows him.

*Note: I went back and checked all episodes from 5/31-7/25 to see if the arrest they refer to and the guy making threats to Steve ever aired and do not see it. Felt like something was missing so went back and checked. They were pretty busy and 5/31 was the first day they were back in Salem after rescuing Stephanie. Steve is gone fro 6/7-6/20 off at PD school and the arrest would have been after that time frame. When he returns, story turns to him and Shane searching for the Loretta which is missing. He heads off to help rescue the passengers and is gone 7/11-7/18. I figured it had to be sometime between 7/19-7/25 but nope not on there either… had Hope’s funeral, ect. So I couldn’t find any indication that this arrest Steve made ever aired, nor did a confrontation with the perp.

Kayla holds her baby, walking the pier and talking to her. She is telling her about daddy going to work, and about mommy being a nurse. Kim comes along and overhears as she is talking to Stephanie about mommy working. Kim picks up that Kayla is thinking of returning to nursing but feeling guilty about it. She reassures her that she can have it all.

Down at the PD, the suspect is not cooperative and warns Steve that he is more danger where he is at than the perp is. Steve doesn’t take his threat seriously. Back home, Steve is taking care of Stephanie and listens to a news report of a capture of a robbery suspect and Steve getting credit for the arrest. Marcus arrives to have dinner with Steve, and he observes that this robbery suspect has Steve a bit spooked but he plays it off as no big deal. Kayla arrives at the clinic, a bit spooked. Carly asks if anything is wrong? Kayla says she just had the feeling someone is following her.

7/31 Abe comes by to talk to Steve and he tells him that he thinks Frank Harris is big time trouble, the burglary suspect that he arrested the other day. Kayla comes down and overhears and is worried. Steve walks Abe out and Abe asks him why he is concerned about Harris? Steve states it is just a feeling and asks Abe to check him out. When Steve walks back into the house, Kayla wants to know what is going on? Why was Abe really here? Steve brushes off the issue and tells her there is nothing to worry about. She asks, “Then why am I worried?”

Calliope stops by the clinic to show Kayla the wedding dress she has created. Kayla is reserved and Calliope wants everything to be perfect for her wedding. Kayla points out that they want to do something smaller due to Hope’s death. Calliope promises she will do whatever Kayla will like. Kim stops by and while her and Kayla are talking, Kayla tells her she is having second thoughts about the wedding after Hope’s death. Kim reassures her that Hope would want Kayla to have her wedding. Kayla says whether her wedding is big or small, she asks her to be her Maid of Honor again. Back home, Kayla tells Steve about Kim’s assurances over their wedding plans. Steve is fine with any type of ceremony as long as it is a week from Friday! He warns “Big Dude” (God) help anyone who gets in the way of that.

8/2 The goon who has been following Steve and Kayla around calls Steve and tells him there is a threat against him as someone has it in for him. Steve demands to know what he is talking about. The goon tells him not on the phone. An irritated Steve tells him he doesn’t have time for this. As Kayla walks in, the goon says if he cares about his little family then he will make time. Steve agrees to meet him on the pier. Kayla asks who was on the phone, Steve brushes it off and sends her on her way and asks her not to worry.

Kayla stops by to give Bo a hug, she heard what happened in Italy. He brushes it off. He congratulates her on her upcoming wedding. She feels bad about having a big wedding. He tells her that Hope wouldn’t want her to feel that way, wasn’t it Hope that helped them get together way back when. Kayla confides in Bo that she thinks there is some kind of danger with his new police job. Bo gets upset and declares that if he had told Hope the truth maybe she would still be alive. He advises no matter what Steve says to get him to tell her the truth of what is going on.

The goon shakes Steve down for protection money due to the threat against his family. Steve has called for back up and the goon is arrested, as he yells out threats that Steve will regret this. Down at the PD, Kayla overhears as the guy continues to threaten Steve. She tells Steve that she treated that guy at the clinic just a couple of days ago. She thinks more is going on than he is telling her and she wants to know what is going on? She points out that she is already involved so he might as well tell her what is going on? He down plays that the guy was just trying to get money out of Steve and he is off the streets now and behind bars and he will never hurt them again. The goon is back in jail and complains to his friend that he offered Johnson a way out but he didn’t take it and now his wedding will be his last day alive!

8/6 Kayla and Calliope are discussing wedding plans as Steve plays with Stephanie. Kayla laughs that she has already been through this twice so it should be easy! Steve gets amorous when Calliope takes the baby out of the room, and tells her that she is so organised it is sexy. Kayla is manic and Steve tries to get her to slow down for a moment. She tells him she can’t or she will have to face what she is afraid of, that the wedding will never happen. Kayla stops by and notices that Bo looks more like himself. She asks if he is sure he is okay? He assures her that he is. She tentatively asks him if he would do a reading at her ceremony. She would understand if he doesn’t want to do it but it would mean a lot to her if he would. He agrees and she hugs him, she knew she could count on him.

Steve stops by and tells Jack that he and Kayla are getting married on Friday. He asks Jack to be his best man again. Kayla sees Bo again and tells him that her and Steve cleared the air and everything is fine. Back home, Steve tells Kayla that he confirmed with Jack and he promises not to lose the ring. He asks her how Bo is doing? She says Bo has lost all of his passion and his fire. Steve encourages that Bo will come around. Kayla says she knows Bo will be okay and that maybe he will find love again. Steve assures her that they will be okay and are going to get this right this time. He laughs that he is getting married to her every six months. She warns him this is the absolutely last time she is getting married to him! Let the kissing begin!

8/8 Steve comes upon Bo sitting down on the dock and joins him. It is the night before Steve’s wedding to Kayla. Bo says they have a chance to start over and begin their life anew. Bo suddenly jumps up to take off. Steve stops him and plays “Here Come the Bride” on his harmonica. He shares that he wants to play it went Kayla walks down the aisle. Bo looks suspicious that Kayla is going to love it and he laughs. Steve insists that he is going to go through with it as Bo continues to laugh. Steve tells him that he is really happy that he is going to be there this time.

8/9 The morning of S&K's wedding day. A nervous Kayla tells her dad that she doesn’t know how she can wait to marry Steve. He takes her fishing down on the pier. He laughs as he tells her he now knows she belongs with Steve and he can genuinely toast them today. He tells her how proud he is of her and all the bad things are over as the princess is going to live happily ever after. She admits she was worried that something would happen to spoil today, but now she realizes her and Steve are going to get married and be happy together. Shawn observes that Steve is one lucky guy as she catches a fish. Marcus arrives at Steve’s and he has to rush out to the airport to pick up Kayla’s surprise. He raves that she is going to love it! They head out to the airport together.

Back at her parent’s, Caroline tells Kayla that she can’t find the veil. She thinks maybe she forgot it, as Calliope has her dress for last minute alterations. Kayla heads out to run back to her house to pick up the veil. Cute montage of Kayla thinking of Steve, and remembers them toasting to starting over. Steve startles her trying to get into the house when he forgot his key. Kayla is relieved to see it is Steve. He tells her that he has a surprise for her and brings in Benji. As he kisses her sweetly, she reminds him that seeing her before the wedding is bad luck. Steve is wearing her veil and continuing to kiss her. They agree to meet later at the altar. Harper has escaped from prison and shows up at Jack's office. Harper tells him he wants to go to the wedding as Jack looks at him in shock. He knocks Jack out.

8/10 Steve & Kayla Wedding begins! Bo arrives for Steve and Kayla's wedding and lights a candle in Hope's memory. Kayla checks in with him, happy to see him there looking so good. Kayla gives Bo an out, that if he isn’t feeling up to doing the reading today. He assures her that he is good to go. Roman arrives and he asks Steve if he can talk to him, he has bad news. He tells Steve that Harper breaking out of jail. Steve asks Roman to keep this quiet and out of the media so Kayla doesn’t hear about this. Roman points out it is not a coincidence that Harper escaped today. He tells Steve there will be security at the wedding and will keep it quiet so it doesn’t scare Kayla. Steve refuses to let anything spoil tonight. Meanwhile, Harper steals an unconscious Jack's keys and is headed to the wedding.

Jen and Kayla talk about marriage, as Kayla wishes Jen well with Jack, if they are headed in that direction. Kim talks to Kayla before the wedding as she wishes her a happy life. A puzzled Kayla observes that it sounds like she is saying goodbye. Kim doesn’t ruin the day with the truth of her impending departure. Caroline, Calliope, Jo, Adrienne come in bearing gifts. Caroline gives her the something old, a white lace handkerchief she found in a cedar chest. Adrienne has the something new, a garter that she bought yesterday. Jo offers her a pair of beautiful earrings as the something borrowed. Kim gives her a beautiful sapphire necklace as the something blue, a gift from her parents. Kim observes that Kayla always loved it and when she was a teenager, she tried to get Kim to give her to her. Kim tells her that is exactly what she is doing today as she puts it around her neck. Kayla raves that she thinks this will be the happiest day of her life.

Roman and Steve talk at the wedding, as Steve notices the security with headsets. Steve worries as he knows that Harper wants his revenge against Steve and he isn’t going to let down his guard. No one has seen Jack, and Jennifer doesn’t know where Jack is. She heads out to find Jack and warns them not to start the wedding without them as Roman looks concerned.

Adrienne has a moment alone with Kayla. She was her first friend in Salem. She tells her that she always wondered what it would be like to have a sister, and now having Kayla in her life she knows and Kayla will always be her sister. They cry and hug tears of joy, as Adrienne assures her that today is really going to happen. Kayla is dressed and ready as her father comes in and has a moment alone with his daughter. He tells her there has never been a more beautiful bride. He tells her she will always be a beautiful bride. She was always the fixer making everything all right for everyone around her. He tells her there was never a day in her life that he wasn’t busting at the seams proud of her.

After her father leaves, she tells herself that their marriage will last forever. Cue the montage to “True Love” as scenes of Steve and Kayla over the years plays. Steve worries as Jack still isn’t there. He doesn’t want to upset Kayla and asks Marcus to stand in for him. When he has a moment with Bo, he thanks Bo for being there for them today. The wedding begins as the bridesmaids and then gorgeous Kayla walk down the aisle. As Steve beams at his approaching bride, Harper picks up the rifle and lines up Steve in the crosshairs.

8/13 The action at Steve and Kayla’s wedding continues. Harper takes aim at Steve and is about to pull the trigger when Steve moves out of range. The pastor begins the ceremony and as he says if anyone is there who knows of any reason why these two should not be joined, speak now or forever hold your peace. Jack finds Harper and stops him from shooting. Harper tells him he is too late and nothing is going to stop him from what he has to do. Jack tries to reason with him, by bringing up their past as a family. Harper insist he's doing this for Jack, since Steve was the one to reveal he was adopted. Jack struggles with Harper for the gun and Harper falls out of a side opening to his death below.

Everyone hears the yelling and Steve tells everyone to stay put as they are going to have this wedding. He yells to Roman to join him and they off to check out the commotion. They find Harper dead. Roman observes that Steve was right about Harper coming after him and wonders what stopped him. Jack approaches and tells them that he killed him and fills them in on what happened. Jack worries that he ruined the wedding. Steve tells him that he didn’t ruin anything, he saved the wedding and he saved Steve’s life. Jack can’t believe he killed the man he loved his whole life. Jack sends him back to his wedding but Steve doesn’t want to leave him just yet. Jack tells him he doesn’t want to be the cause of stopping this wedding and reminds Steve that Kayla is waiting. Steve agrees and asks Jack to go back with him, but he says no and sits mournfully by Harper’s body.

When Steve returns, he tells Kayla that it is over and nothing to worry about. He suggests they have a wedding. Isabella asks where Roman is and Steve assures her that he will be along soon. The wedding begins again with Bo’s reading. Caroline and Jo light the candles and each give one to their children as they say a bit about two hearts becoming one as they each use their candle to light the main candle. Caroline hands Steve baby Stephanie and Kayla reads to their baby words from her and Steve about creating her out of their love and telling her how much she love her as they say their vows to their baby as well.

Then its time for their own vows to each other and when they get to the part about the rings, Steve realizes that Jack has Kayla’s ring and there is a dramatic pause and Jack appears holding up the ring. As he approaches, everyone is relieved to see him and Steve tells him that he saved him again as Kayla looks at him puzzled. Back to the vows, and finally they are married!

Then it is off to the reception and Bo’s heartfelt toast. Steve and Kayla dance together and she has eyes only for him. Then Shawn interrupts to dance with his daughter, and Steve asks Jo, “Can I have this dance, mama?” She tells him he can have all the dances he wants and tells him how very proud she is of him. Kayla throws the bouquet and Jo laughs as she catches it. Then it is time for Steve to throw the garter and Neil catches it.

Steve takes Kayla outside to have a quiet moment alone with her. She asks him to tell her what happened earlier at the church. He says that the yell she heard was Harper Deveraux. He continues that he broke out of jail and got as far as the church, and he had a gun and was intending on getting even with him. Jack caught up to him and stopped him. They fought and Harper fell and he is dead. Kayla realizes Harper could have killed him. Steve admits that he owes Jack a lot. They tell each other, “I love you” so relieved and happy to finally be happily married again. He asks her for another dance, and she says she can’t think of anything better. He seductively tells her he has an idea of what is better and whispers in her ear. She laughs that they can’t do that, they have a house full of people. He informs her they are married now and they are allowed to do that. He kisses and kisses her, they kiss as they walk into the moonlight.

8/14 The next morning, Steve tells Kayla that today is Jack’s arraignment and he would like to be there for him. He seems hesitant to tell her. She says she thinks he should go. She feels the need to do something for Jack as he saved both of their lives. She thinks Jack as tried to make up for what happened and she wants to thank him but doesn’t know how. Steve tells her that she doesn’t have to do anything. Kayla says that Jack has tried and now she should try too. She wants Stephanie to have a relationship with all of the Johnson’s, including Jack. She admits that she doesn’t know how she will handle it but she can’t keep running away either. She will just have to reach out to him, he is Steve’s brother, and for herself and for Stephanie too.

Steve arrives at the PD and joins Jack. When he starts joking, Steve tells him that he isn’t there for the entertainment and to cut the act. Steve is there as they both wanted to make sure he was okay. Jack questions Steve’s use of “we”? Steve clarifies that Kayla is also concerned about him and wanted him to come. He also extends Kayla’s invitation to dinner that night. Jack mumbles an excuse about maybe being too busy. Steve turns to go and says maybe he would see Jack later, rather hopefully.

Kayla runs into Shane on the dock. She asks him if something is going on with him and Kim? He shares that he and Kim have split up and Kim has left town to do some thinking. Kayla invites him to join them for dinner that night with the Johnson’s.

Jack and Jenn arrive at Steve and Kayla’s and find Jo and Adrienne already there. Kayla steps out and Steve joins her to ask if she is okay? She says she is, she just needs a minute. Steve comes back in the living room as Jack and Adrienne are hugging. He tells them there is something green in a casserole dish in the other room. (Jo made what she thinks is Jack’s favourite casserole, tuna and green noodles). Jo takes a moment to recognise that this is the first time they have sat down together as a family and it is wonderful, even Justin snuck in there. She can’t find the words to say what is in her heart. She asks if before they begin, if they could all join hands and have a silent shared prayer.
