~*2 weeks after poisoning*~

Gia tossed and turned in her bed, beads of sweat pouring down her face. Nik walked in the room and immediately rushed to the bed, and sat beside Gia. She was thrashing about violently when Nik finally managed to wake her from her nightmare. When she awoke her eyes darted around the room as she tried to figure out where she was. When she finally realized she was in the cottage, she started to sob into her pillow.

'Gia, Gia, it's alright sweetie, it was only a dream.' Nik soothed her.

'It was awful Nikolas, awful!' she wailed, 'I dreamt that we lost the baby!'

'Oh Gia' Nik said wrapping his arms around her. 'It's alright, the baby is right here' he said, taking her hand with his and placing them both on her stomach. He looked up at her and saw her red eyes start to turn back to their normal color as her tears dried.

'Okay.' Gia said. 'Nikolas, can we go for a walk? I really need some fresh air.'

'Alright' Nik said, 'You get dressed and I'll get our jackets.'

'Okay.' she replied as Nik gently kissed her and left the room.

'Oh Nikolas' Gia said to herself. 'I just can't shake the feeling that something awful is going to happen.'

~*1/2 Hour Later*~

Nik and Gia were walking in the park hand in hand when Gia spotted Liz sitting on a bench. She stopped short and grabbed Nik's arm.

'Look who it is.' she said to Nik as she headed towards the bench, fully-prepared to tell Liz off again. This time Gia intended on adding in a punch at the end. After finding out that the food Liz had made had given her food-poisoning and almost caused her to lose her baby, Gia could kill her. She was merely steps away from her revenge when Nik grabbed her by the arm and pulled her back.

'Nikolas!' Gia screeched.

'NO Gia. Dr. Q. said no stress, it'll upset the baby.'  Nik scolded her 'I told you, after the baby is born, you can kick her ass, but until then, you have to stay relaxed.'

'Oh fine.' Gia muttered, turning away from Liz's direction and continuing to walk down the paved walkway.

'Oh no' Gia grimaced as she saw Helena coming towards them. 'As if seeing Little Lizzie wasn't torture enough!'

'It's okay, let me handle her' Nik said.

Gia reluctantly agreed, for the baby's sake. She knew that if she spoke to Helena, she would have to resist the urge to deck her, and Gia just wasn't sure if she could do it, so she decided to keep quiet and let Nik do the talking.

'Why hello Nikolas, Gia. How lovely to see you.' Helena said, a goofy smile plastered on her face.

'What do you want grandmother?' Nik asked, as he protectively put an arm around Gia's shoulders. 'You know better than to go near Gia.'

'Oh Nikolas, you mustn't be so overprotective. I'm not going to harm Gia, or the baby. I saw you two walking and simply came over to say hello.' Helena replied.

It took all Gia's strength to keep her comments to herself, and she was about to let it all out when she felt her baby kick inside her. That single movement was enough to keep Gia from saying anything. She would do anything to keep her precious baby from harm.

'Well, you said hello, now say goodbye. Goodbye grandmother.' Nik said as he took Gia's hand and the two walked through the rest of the park.

'Andreas, it's due time to put my plan into effect. This baby cannot be born.' Helena ordered.

'Alright Madam, I'll set everything up.' Andreas obeyed.

'Good.' Helena approved. 'Make sure Nikolas is nowhere near the cottage when it happens. This must look like an accident.'

'Yes Madam.' Andreas replied.

'Oh Gia,' Helena said. 'Your baby with Nikolas would've been beautiful. It's a shame neither of you will get to see them. As a matter of fact, YOU will never see anything, ever again.'
