Scene Nine - Attack of the Che Clones

Daylight. The camera pans 180 degrees. We’re shown a world tore apart by war. Burnt buildings crumple in the background. The H-Ks dig through the rubble looking for trolls, but find none. Noone comes out during the day. A Troll Terminator comes into view and steps on the remains of a human skull. The skull grinds to dust under the weight of the heavy steel foot.
Camera pans down from the skull. The camera view passes through what seems to be miles of dirt and rock. We enter an underground city. The streets are filled with hundreds of Trolls each seems to be busy with their own task as they hurry from one building to the other. This is the last free city. Nicknamed “The Kingdom” by its citizens it is the last refuge not under the control of the machines. Founded by the resistance leader Red Whacker it has become a shinning beacon in the night for all refugees of the machines.
Camera zooms inside one of the buildings on the far corner. We can hear people talking but can’t make out what they’re saying. The camera pans and moves down a set of long, dark stairs toward the voices. There we see two figures in the darkness….
Parallaxis – "What is it?"
Sardy – "Its Che’s legacy apparently. It seems he was preparing for his death long before the actual event."
Parallaxis – "What do mean?"
Sardy – "After Che was killed I started packing up his things. I found his journal and when thumbing through it I find out about this place. With all the killing going around him he became obsessed with death. He was looking for a way to cheat death so he began to experiment with cloning."
Parallaxis – "So you mean…."
Parallaxis looks out from where he is standing and for the first time we see hundreds of large pods which resemble human cocoons.
Sardy – "That’s right. Each pod is a carbon copy version of Che. Hundreds of Ches…"
Parallaxis – "My God. That explains the recent power dropouts. What do we do now?"
Sardy – "The only thing we can. Whacker has ordered me to reactivate one pod to replace Che and then deactivate the rest. These pods are sucking down the power reserves. We can’t afford to keep them active."
Parallaxis and Sardy move to a large control panel located on the other side of the room.
Parallaxis – "Which one do we chose?"
Sardy looks the controls over.
Sardy – "These controls here. They seem to control individual pod operations. We’ll simply open the first one on the list. This one….marked….Forever."
Sardy flips a switch on the panel but nothing happens. A heartbeat later a strange metal on metal grinding sound can be heard. Parallaxis and Sardy spin around to see the closest pod beginning to open. A blindly white light shines out from the pod.
Camera pans out. The overhead lights begin to dim and the room begins to shake. Several alarms begin to sound on the control panel.
Parallaxis – "What the hell is going on?"
Sardy – "Its some kind of fail safe. If you activate one pod then the system automatically opens the rest"
Sardy spins back around to see every pod door beginning to open and an army of Che clones steps forth out of the darkness….
