VI. Lesson Focus
The focus of today's lesson is to
reinforce that God created the sun, moon, and stars on the
fourth day of creation. Here are two activities to help
reinforce this. Choose the one that best fits your class of
children. If time permits, you may choose to do both.
“Sun, Moon, and Stars Mobile”
(Click
here for patterns and directions.)
“Star Constellations”
Show the children the
pictures of star constellations. (Click
here for constellation pictures.) Ask the children who
made the stars and on what day. Next, have them name the animal
that each constellation resembles. Provide each child with a
dark blue piece of construction paper and small star stickers.
(These can be found at Wal-Mart in the stationary department.)
Encourage the children to make their own star constellations.
Write this caption on their papers: “On day 4, God made the
stars.”
