Lake Johnson is a Raleigh city park in the southwest part of the city. A waterfall is located just off of the paved walking trail on the south side of the lake.

A variety of people come to the lake. Many come to walk, rollerblade, or ride a bicycle at the park. Many come to Lake Johnson for a picnic.

Paddle boats and canoes are available for rental at the lake.

Many wildflowers are around the lake.

In addition to a network of paved trails, a dirt trail for mountain bikers and hikers runs parallel to the paved trail on the eastern portion of the south side of the lake. An additional section of trail for hikers only runs along the west end of the south lake shore. Both are poorly marked and have some very wet sections.
