PYGMY SEAHORSE

These little critters have been on my bucket list for years. It was looking like an impossible task to find and I was seriously planning to go to Lembeh Straits in Indonesia to photograph them, however thanks to Rusty at Atlantis Dive Resort in Puerto Galera, he found them for me on two separate occasions.

All photographs were taken using a Nikon D300 in a Sea and Sea housing with two Sea and Sea YS110a strobes.

The first two shots were taken using a 60mm micro Nikkor lens.

This shot was taken using the Nikkor 105mm micro lens with the MacroMate wet diopter.

All photographs taken at West Escarcio dive site around 24M, Sabang, Puerto Galera.
