Frogfish and Squishy Ear

Early morning dive on "Sharon Stone" with a promise of frogfish.

I re-arranged my camera set up to macro as it was originally planned for another dive on "Big Mount" and the 10.5 was still in situ

On the descent my left ear started to give problems and I had to make several slight ascents and descents befroe we arrived at 17M and the area where Eric promised to find a frogfish.

And he did not only find one but two. All pain forgotten and I got down to business, personally I should have stayed with the frogfish for the whole dive ... next time!

We dis a tour of the area but nothing else macro wise was there to be photographed, and I was really wishing for NITROX to get more time on this site (as well as on "Big Mount", hopefully next year something can be arranged.

This was to be my last dive, my left ear was not in a good condition and later that night it really hurt like hell with some minor discharge. Fortunately painkillers and dark rum work well together

Yanni carried on and did another dive the next day with William, and spotted two nudibranchs on the house reef (photos will be posted soon)

The ear is not in good condition and after an inspection by an ENT doctor in Penang several days later, the eardrum has collapsed over the second bone (stapes) and some further investigation is required.

Looking forward to returning and diving with Joe, who is fanatic macro mud diver, and after talking with him, should be able to find some interesting critters next year.
