Up until now I had been using the 60mm Macro, 18-70 and the 10.5mm lenses with the D70 housing, and had not taken the D300 underwater until now.
I assembled the housing with the dome port and with a 2kg dive weight inside wrapped in a small towel took it into the pool for checking ..... all ok now into the sea with the D300 on board.
We were diving "Big Mount", thre was a slight current but since there was a mooring buoy here is was an easy descent to 20M
At 5M we were met by 7 Batfish and I was wishing I had the 18-70 fitted, damn I could not get close enough. To add to this viz was not brilliant and I still need more practice with this wide angle lens as well as only having brought the shorter strobe arms to save on weight ....
Naturally I came across a Nudibranch
Above: Chromodoris coi
After surfacing my left ear was hurting. Later back on shore I took a couple of panadol and went to bed early.
