Now Playing: The Twelve Canons
WOW!, o.k. so Me and Jessica are in Iowa City looking for an apartment,(moving in the fall) we see that this band tilly and the wall are playing over at gabes oasis I had heard good stuff about them so we decided to go check em out. Well they were good but I was blown away by one of the openers. the twelve canons are a band from Iowa City, that i cant describe 100% theres, moody eastern european guitar and strings, a very full sound for only three members. Basically if Tim Burton was in a band, i think this is what they would sound like. Freaking awesome! anyway the twelve canons have agreed on very short notice, to let me put their song, "the mind wanders' on the comp which should be going to press, within a week or two!

the art is pretty much done, just tidying up a few things.
on an other note. star wars comes out next week. im not expecting it to be good, but i will be spending my six bucks. As will every other american. Have fun.

Now Playing: oh scream out loud!
hey drum roll please. Welcome to the comp the one the only ,the disease out of greenville and columbia , sc. This post hardcore/screamo band features ex members of marion, and the black octupus. I probably saw marion play about twenty times in greenville, nc during 1998-2000, so this is a special treat for me. The disease have progressed the sound known as screamo by adding extra sounds creating a fuller experience. anyway buy their stuff from their label, alone records

and the comp is officaly full. cool? there are still some bands ive yet to mention but hey there's already enough good tunes announced to keep you singing!

Also ive just received the track from sea defeats sparrow These east Lansing Michigan boys, are bringing the only pop punkish flavor to the comp and you couldnt ask for a better representation! Ive been hitting repeat on the track all day long, and dancing all night.

hey, heres two more great bands for you to check out, who just happen to be on the comp!

signal hill hails out of La and they bring the instrumental talent and the sounds of bands like trisetza and pele with well crafted and thought out music.

the westerlies come from the frozen tundra of minneapolis, minn and they are one of the most unique bands added to the comp. they rock in the vein of braid but have a sound all there own. expect big things from both of these bands as they show you just a sample of what they can do on "our history and our future"

Also the design for the comp is being put together by shemaiah so check out his art page, buy a painting, or just sign the guestbook!

Now Playing: tigermouth, warm regards announced!
Hello again. going to dish out two more bands on the announcement page here. number one is florida's own tigermouth . This is great guitar and vocal work from one of the most consistent men in the florida music scene. Look for his new album "we are all surviving" coming out on goodbyeblueskies records

The next track is for warm regards out of cali. This band features ex members of gameface, and palisade and the comp appearance will be the first release for this band who I have a feeling will be rocking out for a while. this song will get you moving!

Now Playing: 1st official band announcements!
Hey everyone just wanted to update everyone. Theres only about three spots left on the cd right now. Im not going to announce all the bands at once but heres a few for you.

1st announcement of the day is that Mark Schwaber (ex Hospital, current Lo-Fine) will be contributing a song to the compilation. We are so excited to add him to the list as his solo album "two years and thirty minutes" released last year on Pigeon records is one of our favorite cds of 2004. Add to that he is a great guy and coowner of one great record store night owl records you can buy his and many other great cds through him there.

Last but not least is the announcement that cacaphonlopithecus will be delivering a track to this comp. I've know this man for 10 years now and he rocks. This master of experimental music has played with so many bands in so many styles I can't even remember them all. rest assured the track cacaphonlopithecus delivers will be great and definetly different.

there's a lot more band announcements on the way because this cd is almost full, I'll post some more in a few days. any bands who still want on please email me at luckycreaturelabel@hotmail.com Good night!
