Now Playing: My Happy Ending- Avril
Yay for the first day of school. New college, new location, blah blah blah.
Colin drove me down there an hour earlier than he had to be there and helped me get to St. Paul and find my first class. I was uber-nervous, and prolly would have been late if I'd have had to find it myself and take the bus! So I'm uber-grateful to him.
Once I got to class (Equine Anatomy and Exercise Physiology) we all sat around for quite a while, cuz the prof was late. Anyway; she droned on and on about the syllabus like we couldn't read. Sigh.
After that I had a big break.
A ladybug
decided to grace me with it's presence as I sat there and crawled all over my backpack.I went inside and found me a lefty-desk. It was in the back row, but I was okay with that. We got some intro info and learned how to think like beavers.

After that I was late to my next class (Animal Production Systems) It sounds uber-lame and boring. And I don't have to take it. So I might not.
We got out pretty early, so I went and got. . . MORE BUS SCHEDULES!!!
Muwah- ha ha ha. I meandering back down to the Vet Med building and sat outside- musing over maps, snacking, and filling out my new voter's registration.
Now I don't have to get an absentee ballot. Lucky
me!I still had 35 minutes before lab, so I went inside and started writing in my journal. I didn't have time to finish before I had to go back outside for lab. (Equine Anatomy and Physiology)
Miracle of miracles, the prof was NOT THERE!! Even though the entire class was. I sat down and started writing again. Then some morons came out and decided to smoke upwind of me so I was littered with ash and had to breath the toxic second-hand fumes before I finally gave them a dirty look and moved.
Finally we went to the Teaching Barn and pulled out some horses.
Our group had Sierra. We had to write down all the anatomy we knew on some sheet. We didnt' really need the horses, but whatever. Then we got a mini lecture on anterior/posterior; medial/lateral, blah blah blah, I was bored to tears and just wanted to GO HOME!When I was finally released from that agony I booked it on down to the CMU to get my U Pass, praying that the line was not long.
And it wasn't! I was so happy. I made it over to the buses,
figured out which ones were coming and made it one without incident. The 114C was the first one that came so I took that one. That took me to Uptown, where I transferred to the 17C. Some dude sat next to me for a while and he had the same dragon shirt Wilson has. Anyway. I made it without incident or hardship or getting lost so I was grinning the whole way home. I was cutting through the steps on the hill so I wouldn't have to walk around the dead end. I was just thinking, "Gee I hope the people who live here don't come out here and get mad at me for cutting through their yard. . ." When. . . some dude came out the house and I was like. . ohhhhh maannnnn!!!.... "Uhhh, do you mind if I cut through your yard?" (As I was already halfway through it) But he was nice and didn't care. So that was good.
Anyway; here I am, and here I'll be.
Love Gretel
