Yippee.

Happy Birthday to CAMILLE!

Today was pretty low key. I didn't have much to do. I tried to persuade Wilson to go to class, but he didn't. So we got some food and eat it by the park. Then it was raining. But it was still nice out.

We made chicken wings tonight. So we walked down to King Soopers, in which nothing eventful happened.

Wilson decided to make beef jerky, so we got stuff for that too.

I made Wilson cut up the meat, cuz I didn't really feel like doing that myself. I don't know it just grossed me out today. I just ate some bread w/ Nutella. It's all my stomach wants today.

We started watching Underworld until it was time to flip the chicken, and then we came back here so I could blog and catch up on my e-mail and stuff.

Tomorrow I work. So hopefully it's rainy again.

Hola

So today was pretty low key and relaxed. Wilson decided to skip chapel and his class, so we went up to Lookout to enjoy the beautiful mountain weather.

It was a nice drive and we hiked aways back there. It was very pretty and some flowers were starting to bloom. Wilson amused himself by kicking/ throwing rocks off the edge. (Okay, I kicked some too, but then I tired of the game.)

At five I had training at Target and I will have more on Thursday. Yippee. Now I'm pretty hyper, so maybe I can persuade Wilson to go do something active.

Up2Date.....

Sooooo... In the business of going home and training and coming home I haven't written for a while, which is obvious. But I'll try and cover it all in. . . . .

WIIIIIIIIIIIIIDESCREEEENN

*coughs* I mean. . . ONE GIGANTOR UPDATE . . .

*screen swirls around, changes colors and fades in and out*

So, from where I left off:

The 13th

Ummmm, I don't really remember what specifically happened. So someone fill me in if my memory doesn't serve me. All though I'm pretty sure cards were involved.

The 14th

Sunday was ZOO DAY. And it was a zoo. *rolls eyes* We went to Como Zoo. We went to the Conservatory first. As usual when it is close to spring people were in there taking pictures, or getting stuff ready for weddings. It was nice to be warm again after the cold of the Minnesota weather. I did learn something though. Pineapples grow up from the ground.

After that it was on to the zoo. Monkeys first. They're the most entertaining of course. And then on to all the other animals.

It was cold outside so it was nice to go in to the different buildings. Even if some of us couldn't hack the giraffe building. ;)

Anyway; most of us met back at my house for some pizza and cards.

The 15th-18th

These days were filled with training. I had to get up in the wee hours of the morning. Chantel made it her habit to make sure I got up on time. Even on Friday when I didn't need to get up.

Long hours were spent in the classrooom learning about weather, fire behavior, tools of the trade, tricks of the trade and SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY.

I passed my pack test which made my evening. I was encouraged...along the way.

Thursday was our field test. I made it there a little late, but I wasn't the only one so I didn't feel too bad. I was put in a crew and assigned to a shovel, then we headed out to put out our spot fire, marked in orange flags.

Soon after we were done. We got a demonstration for the J5 and then had to "rehab" our fire line.

The other crews got back shortly after we did. Then we went inside to take our written test. After a speech from the leaders we were given our test. I whizzed through that, it was open-book, no big deal for a college student. I was the first one down and I was out of there by 11.

That night I went out to Bethel and visited Katie and Lizzy. It took a while to find her physics haven, but we did. So we walked around the pond, so I could catch up w/ Katie and then we went out to eat.

The 19th

I spent this day at home. It was my day to sleep in and so I did. Until almost two. Then mom called and made me get up. So I did. I packed up all of my laundry and stuff. I got some stuff out of the way.

I got the little girls and Rayrul to help out w/ set-up. Then I dropped Camille off for Girl Scouts.

Dad ordered some Chinese food for dinner. And I spent some time at home. Mom fixed all my pants. High-Security is back in action, yo. Along w/ two other pairs.

The 20th

Drive drive Drive. That's what I spent most of the day doing. There were a few things of note that I wanted to remember. And I did so using that mind picture memory tool. So..

One in a Bun: The Go's Go's, "We got the Beat" was the song that started out my road trip. Ya-hoo.

Two in a Shoe: The wind was soooo bad going down there that all the birds flying into it were going NO WHERE!! There was this one bird in the median as I drove by actually going backwards.

Three in a Tree: Just something I had to remember about my lisence.

Four through a Door: The wind was soo bad that a semi in front of me almost tipped over. That had my heart pounding. But eventually I had to pass it, so I zoomed on by, wondering what would happen if it did in fact fall on me.

Five in a Hive: So somewhere in Nebraska there was this crazy radio station supposedly under going construction. They were playing whacked out songs like: Hey Hey We're the Monks...... Complete with "but we're too busy chanting to put anybody down..." Sigh....

Six with Sticks: Accidentally skipped this one..

Seven from Heaven: Just something I had to remember to tell Wilson.

So there you have it, my trip in a nutshell.

The 21st

I spent all day with Wilson. We went to Kohl's in the morning, until the library opened. He bought me a beautiful bracelet. We went down to the library and I got some books. (Including "Beyond the Chocolate War" since I had been listening to the Chocolate War on tape in the car) Wilson beat me to "Stop the War" again. Sigh. And then we went out to dinner at Hacienda's. Mmmm Mmmm delicious.

Today!

Today I spent enjoying the weather. High 70's baby. I read "Beyond the Chocolate" war most of the morning. Then I spent some time drawing. Wilson and I went to Sam's to get some Cappuchino Mix. Yeah buddy! And now I'm at school, waiting for Wilson to finish his Word project.

Target called a few minutes ago and my Orientation classes are set up for tommorow.

Pi Celebration

What a full day! I was going to take the pack test today w/ my Momm-i-o.

Before hand I went to school for the Pi-Day Celebration. It has lost it's former glory. I could recite more right now than the highest contestant. Ah well, such is life. I astounded the math teachers. I talked to Austad, Alhquist, Bohnsack, Johnson, Jacobsen, and Kruppstadt. And of course, Herr. I was considering stopping by the Euro room, but courage failed me to face her.

After that I set out for Cambridge, but I got lost, so I ended up in Wisconsin. Sigh. But as a plus I got to stop by Sonja's. It was nice to spend some time w/ my aunty. We took a walk down by the St. Croix and then I headed back cuz RAY-RUL was home!

They were all hiding upstairs for me. We made some brownies and made a general ruckus in the kitchen.

YAY MN

For all those who were worried, I made is safely to MN, Land of Ice and Snow. It started snowing about 15 min from home, and that's all the weather I had to endure.

It was a very enlightening time of listening to The Red Tent. I stopped only four times. At a rest stop, gas, Burger King, and more gas.

There's not much to say about the Nebraskan or Iowan countryside. So I'll leave it at that.

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Sigh, my car had problems. The back brake was allllll burnt out. So I had to bring it in to Midas, where I spent most of the morning/ afternoon. I read a bunch of my book then I couldn't ready anymore.

It was a very trying experience so that's all I really want to say about it.

Hopefully my car will be all ready to go back to Minnesota tomorrow or Thursday. Yippee!! Back to the COLD and SNOW that just LEFT Colorado. Siiiiiiiiigh. It was really warm today. I walked home from Midas in a T-shirt. Siigh Sigh Sigh!!!

I just hope I remember to bring my warm clothes.

Enjoyin' the Weather

Well it's a beautiful day in Denver. I'm taking advantage of my wireless internet and taking it outside. From my apartment complex at the park I can look out at all of Denver and the surrounding area. The wind is blowing just enough to keep me cool and blow the fragrant smell of the pine trees to me.

This weekend has been pretty busy. On Saturday we went down to the library and spent about two hours looking at books at stuff. We watched City of Angels that night. We went to work out and swim. That was uber-relaxing. I did 20 pounds.

Yesterday Wilson and I went back to his house. I listened to stories in halting English from his mom. She showed me a picture album from here wedding and a story that had been printed in the paper about it. I also got to see pictures of baby Wilson. What a cutie!

While Wilson got his clothes washed we roller-bladed down to T.J.'s house and hung out for a while. He was changing his oil when we got there.

We went back after that. Wilson had to meet w/ someone for a project so I read more Asimov. When he got back we went to work out. I did 25, but that about killed my backpack, so I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do now. :: ponders question::

That's about it. Today I've just been cleaning stuff at home, edited Wilson's paper and have been enjoying the sunshine, awaiting a phone call from Target.

Boardin' Day

Today was a boardin' day. Fresh fresh powder, it snowed about five inches in the city. Boarding was SwEeT! I did some work on carving. I'm getting a lot more comfortable going fast. I also did another fun box, and then a thinner box, but wiped out at the end. Later I wiped out flat on my face (well it was the second time of the day) but this time I knocked the wind out of me and hurt my shoulder muscle. So I sat out for an hour and read Watership Down. It was a very exciting book.

Yesterday was pretty slow. I went to Target and filled out some "paperwork" as they called it. Which consisted of driving down to Wheatridge and taking a drug test.

I picked up Wilson after class and we made some dinner. Mmmm Mmmm Jello goodness.

Then I went down to the weight room to train. I did ten lbs. The weights kept clinking together in my backpack. But I didn't notice cuz I was busily thinking about pi. 400 digits in 45 minutes isn't bad when one is trying to block out the TV noise and the clinking and not fall off the treadmill.

Wilson and I watched Northfork which was a pretty crazy movie.

Well I'm outta here.

Keepin it Real

Well I called Target (and my sis-tah) last night. They want me to come in tomorrow and do some paperwork. So we'll see what that's all about.

Other than that I've been reading my latest book Watership Down, my latest book. I'd tried it once before, but this time I like it a lot more.

Yesterday I made chicken wings. Wilson really likes them. He going to bring some to his mom to try.

And I just got back from busting out three miles. Training is ON. . . again!!

And Wilson brought back some Famous Star for us, ain't he a sweetie?
