Keepin it Real

Well I called Target (and my sis-tah) last night. They want me to come in tomorrow and do some paperwork. So we'll see what that's all about.

Other than that I've been reading my latest book Watership Down, my latest book. I'd tried it once before, but this time I like it a lot more.

Yesterday I made chicken wings. Wilson really likes them. He going to bring some to his mom to try.

And I just got back from busting out three miles. Training is ON. . . again!!

And Wilson brought back some Famous Star for us, ain't he a sweetie?

Miss Von's Ghetto Cruiser is Happy

Yay, my car is happy cuz Jim (no not Jimmy Oats) changed my oil for me. It was all ick-afied. But now it has clean clean oil and is soooo much happier.

In other news, Miss Von fInAlLy heard back from Target and she has to call them tonight.

Otherwise it's a quiet warm day in the state of Colorado.

I went to chapel today. It was way better than the last chapel. :) :) :) And the songs were better too.

Other than that I finished Foundation and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy so now I have nothing to read :( :( . Guess I'll working on some knitting.

HSR

Yay, Homestarrunner was updated w/ a new Teen Girl Squad. I personally think that they're stalling for StrongBad's 100th e-mail.

Down in D-Town

Today was a pretty full day. Well it was really full compared to this week. Wilson and I went to DPL before it opened to return some books so that they wouldn't be OvErDuE. . . So we dropped those in the drop back then waited til it opened. But there weren't any new movies so I just got some CD's and a book. (Ray-rul, you can be proud of me. I'm giving Foundation another shot!) A surprising amount of people were waiting for the library to open. A lot of them were homeless, I guess it is a warm place with lots of things to read though.

After finding our books, Wilson and I went down to 16th St. Mall to meet up w/ Matt. We spent a while in Barnes and Noble looking at all sort of books, warming up, and waiting for Matteo. I looked at some horse books and Manga, and PS. After a while we met up w/ Matt and walked around. We went to Virgin, and some other record store. And I don't really remember what else. We were pretty hungry by then, we walked around looking for a place to eat. We ended up at Hard Rock Cafe and Wilson treated me. It was really good. A little cold though.

We got back not too long ago. So now you're caught up.

On Friday, we went boarding at Copper. Wilson, me, Matt, Sean, and Jim somehow all managed to fit all our gear and ourselves into Matt's Tahoe once again. It was a pretty uneventful drive except for Jim's attempts to get the attention of some girl in another car. Unfortunately she got on the offramp to Breck before he could give her his digits. (rolls eyes).

We had some good runs. I went w/ the boys through the Terrain Park. Matt tried to persuade me to go over one of the boxes. I declined.

On a later run on Flyer we went through the Kidz Terrain Park. And I did a fun box!!!!!! I didn't even fall! It was way exciting. And Wilson worked w/ me on carving. Either he's more patient of a teacher, or I'm just ready to learn. I'm not sure.

Back at Wilson's that evening, we made some soup and watched the Family Guy.

On Saturday I met up w/ Wilson again after he got done w/ work. We watched Dances With Wolves (Ray-rul I finally saw it!!!) But by the time we finished the library was closed, so we decided to go Sunday to drop all the movies off (as you know from the earlier tale).

The boys B-Ball game had their last home game on Saturday. It was intense. It was against Regis (who is apparently our biggest rival). We were down most of the game. It all came down to the last minute or so. We were down by 2 points w/ ten seconds left. Timeout. Some stuff happened. We still had the ball. Time out. Three seconds left. We made our two-pointer. Cougars lead by one point with 1.4 s left. Regis has the ball. They chuck it down the court, but out of bounds. So we got it back for 1.4 s and WiN the GaMe!!!

Matt is their biggest fan so it was very exciting. All the fans stood in the receiving line and slapped the team's sweaty hands on last time. Very touching. And sweaty. . . Ewww.

OH YEAH!! I forgot. At half-time they call out ticket numbers, and if they call yours you get a chance to make a free-throw. And if you make it you get a free burrito at Chipotle. They called Wilson's ticket and he made it! So we all went to Chipotle after. And I had a $5 gift cert. to Chipotle from earlier in the year. So Wilson, Matteo, Matt L., Jim and I went down there to celebrate. I still have half my burrito left. Oh well. Good for lunch.

So that's what I've been up to. Target is supposed to call me Monday. They better. I've already called them about this interview twice. Siiiiigh.

Anyway, tchuessie, and later.

More of the Same

Yay for attending chapel. I didn't really get anything out of it but it was nice to be out of the house.

I rode w/ Matt and Wilson to Sonic. It was an amusing experience, since we had like three different servers, due to mix-ups w/ coupons. That was followed by almost death when Matt cut it close at a busy intersection. But you almost have to if you wanna get across there.

Other than that I've been catching up on my blogs and e-mails. So check you later. And being annoyed by not being called, but they said they were working on it, so maybe an interview tomorrow.

Another day of not much I'm sorry to say. I didn't get the job. But I'll have another interview on Thursday so hopefully that'll go better. Sigh sigh sigh. If that doesn't I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm so tired of being here with nothing to do. The days pass by pretty fast, but I don't get much accomplished.

Bibbity Bobbity Boo

Another uneventful day in the life of Gretel Vaughn. I hung out at school for a while and then messed around with Photoshop. After Wilson got down w/ classes we went back to his house and I made chicken wings.

We watched some episodes of the family guy and somewhere in the middle of that Matt and Jim stopped by. I beat Matt at Smash. Jim said he would help me change the oil in my car.

Today I've just been reading and messing w/ Photoshop, looking up tutorials and stuff.

Siiiiiigh

Sorry, about my lack of entries. I didn't realize I had neglected them so long. I haven't been home much except to sleep. Days w/out much to do tend to blend together. Still no news, so I'll be calling on Monday. Siiiiiiigh.

I went snowboarding on Friday, which ended up being an emotional event. My first couple runs were good though. That was a mucho long day. But I got a lot of knitting done.

I've been to the library twice in the past four days. I have a bunch of reading material, so I've been getting my fill of Asimov's sci fi. I've also been crocheting a cool cool bag. I'm about halfway done.

Other than that, not much news. Love, Gretel

Being a Bum

Not much happened today other than I worked on my puzzle, played Warlords, and enjoyed the 70 degree weather. Nothing better than that.

I hoped that I'd get a call back today, but so far. Nothing. Siiiiiiiigh.

Other than that there's only so much to say about reading Asimov and cleaning all the disgusting things off of the stove.

Tomorrow I'll be productive I promise. Because if I am Murphy's Law states that someone will call. (hope hope)

Ugh, and I've been horribly lax on my training.

Yay Interviews.

So I had my two interviews today. They were loads of fun. I almost got up too late for the first one at Target, but I got there with a minute to spare.

I looked down in horror at what I was wearing. Red shirt, khaki pants, might as well have been working there.

That interview was done in 15 minutes. Then I drove around the mall to Jillian's and waited for my interview there. I didn't feel like that one went as well, but I'll hear back about a 2nd interview today.

So that's what I've been up to. I want to call a humane society or something of that sort to volunteer there, but I don't want to do that yet, until I know what hours I'll be working (hope hope)

Love, Gretel Vaughn
