The World is a Beautiful Place

The World is a beautiful place…

If you don’t raise the starving

children of a race

Unknown.

If you never notice the people

Homeless

Living in trash

And filth.

Oh, the world if a beautiful place...

If you care about the

Bewildered animals whose

Homes have slowly disappeared

Like rainbows.

Yes, the world if the best place of all...

To see problems and

Tribulations and what-have-you’s

To be sad and suicidal

Holding the gun to your temple.

Yes,

But then comes the sun

Peaking around a cloud

And the people smile and

Sing "Never Again".

This poem was written in Creative Writing. We had to finish a poem’s first line, and rewrite it to our own liking. I’m not much on environmental issues, but this is what came out.
