Chapter 5
"I wanna go with you."Brian said,sitting down next to her at the breakfast table.
Ara had spent most of the night fixing her mind from the transfer.She was basically back to new,but her body was tired.
"No."Ara replied.
"Why not?I'm almost up to your level.When we transfer I won't be just dead weight,I'll have some power to help myself transfer."
"I don't think you're ready."
"I am."
Ara sighed before she gently worked herself into Brians mind.She skimmed through it breifly before retreating.
"As long as it's okay with the elders."
"Thanks."Brian smiled at her and dissapeared.
'I heard that some Kalzers were on Garal.Watch yourself,okay?'Robert told her.
'Alright.'
'Kalzers?'Nick asked.
'Our enemy.'Ara replied,reaching for Brians hand.
"Good luck."AJ told them as they both dissapeared.
Ara opened her eyes seconds later.It was dark on this planet,and the streets were littered with papers,bodys,and God knows what else.Ara looked over at Brian.He was leaning slightly on her,but his mind seemed strong still.
'This is disgusting'
'That it is.'Ara replied,stepping over a body.
Fear rose up in her,as her eyes darted through the streets.Her mind found it rather strong in one building.She looked at Brian,trying to see if he felt it too.
"C'mon."Ara muttered,grasping his hand.
They re-appeared in a dark room.Ara trembled slightly,looking over towards Brian.The room was too dark,and she couldn't see him.
'I don't like the feel of this.'Brian told her.
"Help!"A voice screamed out.
Ara blindly ran towards the voice.Her body slammed into walls,and she stumbled in the dark.She found herself in a lit hallway,her eyes darting to and from all the doors.
'The one at the end'Brian told her,his hand placed on her shoulder to give her a gentle shove.
They ran towards the door,Ara in lead.
"Help me!"A voice screamed.
Ara ran through the doorway and spotted a man approaching another that was backed all the way up against the wall.A pen was in his hand,and was aimed at his eyeball.The man in danger had an orange aura.
Sensing another presence,the man all in black turned his head towards Ara.She fealt a great pressure on her mind,and she tried to fight it off.It was no use however,as she fealt wall after wall break.Ara grabbed her head,and heard a voice screaming.It was her own.A horrible darkness and evil flooded through her veins,and coldness sweeped over her body,a long with pain.
Brian stood dumbfounded.He could feel the evil this mans presence brought,and Brian found his feet rooted to the floor.He looked at Ara,bent over in pain.A cloud surrounded her body,flooding her aura with all different shades of red.His eyes than darted to the man with the orange aura.He stood trembling against the wall,his hands shaking violently,the pen dropped to the floor.His mouth was slightly open,and his eyes were wide with fear and shock.He then looked towards the man in black.A black cloud was shooting from his hand,and wrapping itself around Ara.That man..there was something about him.He seemed so..Brians eyes got even wider once he recognized the man.The sheer coincidence of it would have made Brian laugh if he wasn't in this situation.If he still thought he was human,and not a Ralmgahi faced with the pure evil of a Kalzer that seemed to be destroying his friend.Brian moved fast,grabbing the hand of the man with the orange aura.He then darted towards Ara.The man in black was about to move the cloud towards Brian,but stopped in shock once he recognized him.Brian grabbed Aras hand,trying to fight off the evil that wanted to escape from Ara and into him.Ara was still screaming in vain once they dissapeared.
Nick sat up straight halfway through his lunch.Fear had risen in his stomach,exactly where he sensed all of Aras emotions.The fear grew with every passing second,and then grew with his own.
"What is it?"Robert asked,sensing Nicks fear.
"Ara..somethings wrong.She's terrified."
With those two sentances,the whole room erupted in fear.A minute or two passed before Nick doubled over in pain.Evil and darkness started at the base that was reserved for Aras emotions,but Nick found it growing and spreading through his veins.It all enveloped his body and his mind,and the others sat stunned as a dark black cloud came from Nicks ears,nostrils,and mouth.It wrapped itself through out his aura,and around his mind.Robert ran to his side,a long with three other elders.They placed their hands on Nick,releiveing some of the evil and darkness from him,and placing it on themselves.Everyone but AJ was so wrapped up in what was happening that they didn't hear a loud bang coming from the other side of the room.
'HOLY.FUCK.'AJ screamed in mind.
The elders glanced towards him,and fallowed his line of sight.
Brian layed on the floor,mind exhaustion sweeping through his body.He couldn't open his eyes,and he found slumber was the best place to go.
Ara layed on the floor also,a dark cloud still looming around her.The evil,darkness,and coldness that had so instantly sweapt over Nick,was now almost all gone.A man with an orange aura stood shaking,staring off at the people at the table.
The elders now moved away from Nick,and sluggishly made their way towards Ara and Brian.The other elders raced towards them.Nick stood up on shaky legs,breathing deeply.
'Are you okay?'AJ asked him.
'Yeah..I'll be fine.'He responded,moving slowly towards Ara and Brian,AJ helping him.
"Every single one."Tamrah said.
"Every single one what?"Robert asked.
"Every single one of her walls are broken.God..feel her skin..it's so cold."Tamrah replied.
"Get her to the Great room.It's going to be a long night."Robert told her.
"How's Brian?"AJ asked.
Nick stared at Ara,still sensing evil,darkness,coldness,and pain..but only where Aras emotions were.He knew she had to have fealt it ten times worse if every one of her walls broke.He fealt despair wash over him from Aras emotions.A long night indeed.
"He should be okay.He wasn't ready for that kind of trip,and he was carrying two deadweights.One of which was holding his hand,and at the same time of transfer he had to fight off the evil that was trying to escape through her hand and into him.He'll need a few days of resting time.Maybe a week."Robert sighed.
"I'll bring him to the Great room."Tom announced.
Robert than looked up at the man they had brought with them.
"I'm guessing you are the fifth destined.Fallow me."
