Chapter 14
"I don't understand why you can't feel her.You have your power back."Nick said,scratching the back of his head.
"I dunno.I didn't feel anything when I found you guys either.Like..I didn't feel that anyone else was on Earth."Ara replied.
Nick sighed and took her hand.
"Just focus on the color Green."He said,closing his eyes.
Ara closed her eyes as well,and once she found the line of Green,she fallowed it.
She opened her eyes to find she was in the male bathrooms.Nicks eyes grazed the room before he pulled Ara out of the bathroom.
"Look for her dressing room."Nick told her.
"Excuse me do you have any pas-oh..sorry Nick."A man said.
Nick simply nodded,yanking Aras hand to continue.The man stared after them,very confused as to why Nick Carter was backstage at this specific concert.
'Here it is.'She told him.
'You go in.She might be naked or something.'
Ara opened the door and glanced back at Nick before sliding inside.
"You can't be in here."A man said,grabbing her roughly by the arm.
Aras eyes bore into him.
'Apologize,let go of my arm,and leave me alone.'She comanded.
"I'm sorry."He said,letting go of her arm,and taking a step back.
Ara simply nodded as she looked for someone.She walked further into the room,spotting her looking at some flowers.She tapped her on the shoulder and she turned around.
"Yes?"She asked.
The woman was soon writing a note saying that she couldn't perform tonight,and that she needed a break.She said that she didn't know how long she would be,but she would be back.She placed it on the table before fallowing Ara down an empty hallway.Ara stopped in the middle of it,looking from side to side.
'Got Britney.Let's go.'She told Nick,grabbing Britneys hand,and disapearing.
Ara appeared in the Great room,next to a not so surprised Britney.Nick appeared seconds later.
Jeff glanced up from his book before taking a double shot.He jumped up from his desk and quickly walked over.
"We thought you left us!We didn't know what was going on!You both blocked all of us!"He yelled,but stopped once he saw Britney.
"We found the seventh."Nick told him.
"You don't look that shocked."Jeff observed.
"Nah.My boyfriend did the same thing to me a few weeks ago,telling me he was some..Kazer or something,and had to fight this war.It just all feels like a dream or something."She said,her eyes roaming the room.
They stopped on Nick,and for the first time she looked surprised.
"Ara,Nick..I'll talk to her.You guys go ahead to the Dinner room.It should be time to eat soon,"Jeff said,nodding to the two of them,"Oh..and we'll talk later about what you did."
Ara looked over at a guilty Nick before disapearing.
"Well..if it isn't dumbass and bitchass."AJ said,looking at the two of them.
"Where the hell were you two?We were worried out of our minds!We thought you left us,or you were dead!"Brian yelled at them.
"Sorry Rok.We just had to take care of some things."Nick said.
"Well tell us next time."Matt said.
"We will,right Ara?"Nick asked,looking over at her.
He found her staring at a man across the table from her.He was black and had a shaved head which was covered with a bandana.He fealt jealousy wash over him when Ara didn't even realize the fact that he spoke at all.When she fealt his jealousy she looked up at him.She prodded into his thoughts to find out what he was thinking.
"Right."Ara replied,looking at him with questioning eyes.
She than returned her attention back to the man infront of her.Nice brown ey-
"I'm Kwacey."He said,extending his hand.
"Ara.It's nice to meet you,Kwacey."She said flirtatiously,a small playing on her lips.
She fealt Nicks jealousy again,and broke eye contact with Kwacey to look up at Nick.
Nick turned his head quickly,avoiding her gaze.This was the first time he was ever pissed that she fealt his emotions.Well,except that one time when he was watching a porno in his room and had totally forgotten about the whole emotion thing.He had fealt Aras humor and had immediately turned it off and went to go take a cold shower.She never said anything about it though,so that was good.
Ara burst out laughing at the memory,and Nick couldn't help but laugh shortly from it.
'You really need to get out of my head,Ara.'
"Only if you do first,Carter."Ara said aloud.
Nick laughed and looked up as there food was being served,happy that her attention was back on him.
"Oh!Guess who's the seventh."Nick smiled.
"You found the seventh?"Brian asked.
"Who?"Tony asked.
Nick nodded before looking up from his food.
"I don't know if you'll all know her,but..,"He laughed,"It's Britney Spears."
"No way."Brian breathed.
"You're fuckin' lying."AJ said,throwing his napkin at him.
"No,I'm fo' real!"
"You're fo' fake."Kwacey laughed.
"Dude..I'm serious.Ask Ara."
"It's true."Ara answered.
"Damn."AJ said,sitting back.
"Oooh.Now I see who get's all the love."Nick said,glancing around the table.
Ara took that opportunity to throw a meatball at him..
and that's how the biggest food fight of their lives began.
