Chapter 10

Ara retreated from her mind a few hours later, most of her walls complete now, thanks to Nick. She rose from her bed and smiled a small thankful smile at him.She dissapeared from the Great room and appeared in her bedroom. She took her clothes and retreated to the shower.
'Nick?'She asked, scrubbing the shampoo into her hair.
'Huh?'
'What happened to Robert?'
'I told Jeff, and when we went to go to his room..he was gone.We searched all around here, but he wasn't anywhere to be found. He still hasn't showed up so I'm guessing he knew that we knew.'
'Figures'Ara sighed.
She finished her shower and got dressed. She threw her hair back into a bun,and vanished to the Dinner room.
"It's nice to see that you're awake."Jeff said once she appeared next to Matt.
"Yeah."Was all she replied.
"I was wondering if you were up to go over any planets."He said, taking a bite from his food.
Ara didn't want to tell him what she knew.Didn't want to admit it to herself. She keapt silent and just shrugged her shoulders.
"Nick tells us that you and him built up most your walls today."Tamrah commented.
"Yeah."She replied again, staring down at her food.
Everyone at the table exchanged worried glances.
'What's wrong Ara?'Nick asked her.
Tears obscured her vision,as she made her decision.
"My feeling is gone.My gut feeling..it's gone.So is my power."She said aloud.
"Your power isn't gone. You just appeared at the table out of no where."Brian told her.
"No.I mean my power of color..the whole palm thing.I tried to do it that night to Robert, but it didn't work."
"That was probably just because you were weak."Jeff said.
"Yeah.Probably."Ara said, disappearing to go read the old testaments.

"Okay,"Ara said to herself slowly,"this basically means that there are two reasons you wouldn't be able to produce your color.One-you couldn't center it,or two-you don't have enough of your feeling."
Love. That must be it.Her color represented the power of love, and from the over abundence of pain and despair that she had fealt that night, she couldn't produce it.The problem was..she still couldn't.She was guessing that was why her gut feeling was gone, and had yet to return. She didn't have enough love.
Robert hadn't helped her any by flooding her emotion gates with so much pain. His haze of color still lay in her mind.Untill she got rid of it somehow, she would have to deal.
She skimmed through the pages looking for a way to get rid of it,when she found a faded yellow colored parchament. It was about 4 inches tall, and 6 inches in length. It was written in another language.
She placed the book down, leaving it open to the page she was at.She then disapeared to go find someone who could translate it.
