Alison went to school at the University of Pittsburgh where she was an exercise physiology major
In her 1998 general chemistry class at the University of Pittsburgh, Alison made a valentine about chemistry for her lab partner. She wrote "Can I be part of your molecular geometry?" (Picture)
During her years in college, Alison was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and the Pitt Dance Team.
Her hometown is Meadville, PA located in Crawford County. She won the title of Miss Crawford County in 2001.
In 2002, Alison held the title of Miss Steel Valley allowing her to compete as a contestant in the Miss Pennsylvania contest.
During her competition in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant, Alison used domestic violence as her platform issue.
In 2002, Alison was crowned Miss Greater Juniata Valley, and in 2003 she was first runner-up in the Miss Midstate Scholarship Pagent. The Miss Greater Juniata Valley crown is the one which Alison had to relinquish her crown to appear on Big Brother.
