Rarius and Free Men
Now here’s a subject dear to all Our hearts, Sisters. Well, most of Us anyway. The Rarius and Free Men of Gor. What are they? Animal, Mineral or Vegetable? In a way, that’s not far off the mark.

First and foremost, Men are the Masters of Gor. No way around that, it’s a fact. Now, some are a little easier to believe as a Master of Gor, and some are right out to lunch. An intelligent FW will NEVER, EVER in anyway do or say ANYTHING to Free Men that will jeopardize Her freedom.


Of course, if You WANT to be collared, do whatever comes into Your head and stop reading these pages.

For the rest of this page I will just use FM,it means any Free Man of Gor.

Staying Out of a Collar
Dear to every true Free Woman’s heart. What can get You collared? Well, just about anything. Fortunately, most FM are honorable and will warn You, about three times when You have stepped over whatever line that particular FM has set

There is an old question....”What reason does a Free Male need to ko-lar a Woman?" The answer.....”None”.

Sucks, huh? Well, Gor is harsh, Gor is not fair, Gor is just Gor.

These are definitely collaring offences....

1. Drawing steel on a Rarius
2. Acting slutty like a slave
3. Public sexual demonstrations ( the exception is with Your FC, I have mentioned this before)
4. Verbally abusing a Free Male.
5. Slapping, striking or hitting a Rarius
6. Being overly mouthy, obnoxious and argumentative

Use common sense, judgement, intelligence when dealing with the Free Male. remember, most Men have a frail ego. If You stomp on it, be prepared to get stomped back, often with a collar as Your prize.

So, what do You do if You are in the room, and sometime during the conversation, for no reason You can see, the FM posts....”slaps a collar on You”?

Immediately ask Him, In PM....what He is doing? If You answer a “collar” post in public, it sticks. Start copying and pasting everything that was said that could possibly have any meaning to this action. Save it. If the Rarius says, “I collared You because I want to.” Or some other such answer, Call Your brothers and get them in there. Again, DO NOT ANSWER A COLLAR POST IN PUBLIC. Let Your Brothers deal with it. Pretend You have frozen. If no one replies to Your call for help, save the transcripts and x out of the room. Don’t use the “Leaves”. If You use the “Leaves” then it proves You were not frozen.

This, of course, is what You do if YOU ARE IN THE WRONG. If You really deserved this collar, then accept it. Not all FM want a slave that was a Free Woman. Some think that if a Free Woman has acted up, perhaps a night in the collar, seeing what a slave is, will educate her.

Keep a cool head here. If You were in the right, and this slapping a collar on You really unnerved You, watch Your mouth and actions. What may have started out with You in the right, can quickly turn to You being in the wrong if You freak out.

Once more, and I can’t stress this enough...keep the logs! Show them to the Jarl, and LET THE MEN OF YOUR HOMESTONE DEAL WITH THE IDIOT.

Normally, in most of Gor, a FW who has acted up will be caged, maybe gagged and returned to Her homestone to await the displeasure of Her Leader and Brothers. Be honorable here, Sisters. If You were in the wrong, accept Your punishment and learn from it. It’s not the mistakes one makes that dictates honor, but what you learn from those mistakes.

Types of Rarius
Here are the ones to look out for Sisters.

The Know It All or Gorean Book Thumper
He will come in and start spouting off. The more He speaks, the more You grit Your teeth. This guy has ALL the books, memorized and saved and categorized, and He’s ready to post it to prove Himself right, and You wrong. He may bait You, taunt You, and yes, insult Your intelligence. This guy is probably 30 years old with a 5-year-old mentality, a 17-year-old chip on His shoulder and something to prove. He picks on FW and slaves, because He thinks he can. Ignore Him. Talk to Your Family, have a ball. He’ll go away eventually, especially when He sees He’s not getting a rise out of You. Mostly, the more He talks, the sillier He looks.

The Jeckell and Hyde
Sometimes starts off nice, makes You His Friend, then stabs You in the back when You’re least expecting it. Watch closely, they give themselves away with their low self-esteem. He will immediately back down when confronted with the truth. In some cases, this is not as much His fault as the fact that He is being “Mentored” by several different Rarius types. He hasn’t figured out where He fits in yet. He may have tried playing a boy at one time, or may be very new to Gor. Basically, hold this one at arm’s length, until He finds His own place.

The Stud or Slave Sniffer
This one thinks He has a 10 inch cock, a face like Mel Gibson, a body like Sly Stallone and every Woman on Gor is drooling over Him. He can be crude, lascivious and outright disgusting at times. He wants to screw everything F/female and breathing. The slaves are scared of Him, the Free Women are repulsed . Sometimes He has a chain of girls who follow Him around, with numbers on their collars to show how really good He is. He’s always looking for that next slave to own, and is not too particular about who it is. Be polite, demure and then ignore Him. Again, do something else, talk with Your Family, have fun, stay Free.

The “True” Gorean Male
We’ve seen this one too. He thinks that Women should shut up, FW don’t have an opinion, FW shouldn’t even be playing on on-line Gor. He won’t greet You, or if He does, it will just be a “nods”. To Him, all FW are just slaves without a collar. He doesn’t want You for HIS slave, He just wants to see You in any collar. Let Your Brothers deal with Him. Ignore Him.

The Perpetual FC or The Romancer
He’s looking for an FC....anyone to FC. He has flowery language, will try to go to PM right away, say pretty things, make Your heart race. He’s a charmer! He’s had about eight FCs already this month, but, none of them worked out, none of them really understood His needs. This guy is a weenie, that’s why they left. Be polite, stay in public talking with Him, talk about Gor, talk about the Homestone, talk about pantyhose, anything but hitching up with this loser.

The Combination Player
Very dangerous. Starts out like The Perpetual FC and once You are starting to respond, becomes The Slave Sniffer, with YOU as the next slave. Nuff said.

The I’m So Cool Cuz Now I’m Gorean Asshole
So new to Gor He squeaks when He walks. He’s usually about 18 years old (or younger....shudders) and just found out about on-line Gor, picked up a Superman attitude and came to join the party. Understands NOTHING about Masters, slaves, or Gor. He just likes to think He’s better than You because He read somewhere that on Gor, the Men RULE. How to spot Him? Uses sentences with no spelling or grammar, like...”How R U?” He calls slaves “M’Lady” if He came from the Theme Rooms. Politely direct Him to one of Your Brothers, He may be able to learn, then ignore Him.

The Nice Guy
I really feel sorry for this one, really. He’s nice. He may or may not know a lot of Gor. What totally confuses this gentleman, is that after about a week on Gor, He has several woman “madly in love” with Him, and can’t figure out how it happened, or how to shake them. A teddy bear. Be nice to Him and treat Him with respect, and like a younger Brother. This one usually can be taught where He went wrong, but let Your Brothers do that.

The BDSM Gorean, or Ultimate Master
I’m rolling My eyes already. HE thinks He’s the Ultimate Master. A lot of the girls think so too, but this one is easily spotted by His girls. They are “princesses”. Those slaves who are more sub than slave, who don’t do anything but cuddle with Him, and who pretty well ignore anyone else besides a polite giggle and greeting. He likes Gor, because the real slaves here are much better trained than the subs He’s used to, are always hot and ready, and don’t talk back like the vanilla slaves upstairs. Be wary of Him. He can be nice, and is probably extremely intelligent in manipulation. You are just an uncollared slave to Him. He prides Himself on getting FW into His collar, and He just looked at You.

The FM as a “Friend”
Can a Free Male be Your Friend? Yes, I am happy to say He can be Your Friend And blood brother by choice, a Friend, without the sex. This, of course, depends entirely on the FM. One who is a Friend will talk with You, laugh with You, guide You and NEVER, even jokingly, threaten a collar.

Your Homestone Brothers

Going along with what was said above as a Friend, Your Brothers in Your homestone are precious. They are there as Family. To protect You in times of Raids or trouble. To interact with You, laugh with You and be there for You. Treat them with utmost honor and respect, as You would a real brother. You can joke with Your Brothers, and still stay within the FW boundaries. Act in a way that will make Them PROUD to call You Sister.

The True Gorean Rarius is here Sisters, don’t despair. They are all around You. The Ones who are secure in Their Manhood and don’t have to “prove” they are Masters by putting You down, baiting You, and proving You wrong or screwing You. They have a sense of humor, can admit to a mistake, are strong and You just know it. They make You feel like a Woman and a Sister. You like to be around them, get a sense of “rightness” about them.
