Refuge a living dream

Robert (White Wolf) Smith

Song is Refuge c 1999 Robert Smith

1: We are in the process of creating/tending Herb & Food gardens, raising some farm animals, creating a craft teaching and selling center, and campsites for students learning to help chronic and or severe health problems not presently addressed by medical science, or people with such problems, who come for help. This will also be the place of preparation for vision quests in the mountains of East Tennesse.

2: We contemplate building a Yurt (A Mongolian round nomadic type dwelling) as a classroom/meeting room. To be used by myself and invited speakers on alternative health care, living in harmony with Mother Earth and spiritual and religious living.

3: All of the above activities are related to teaching/demonstrating; self worth. Self-reliance, and living in harmony with the land as caretakers. We think of ourselves as only caretakers of this property so non-profit corporation will at some point in the future lease and or purchase all of the land except the residential area and oversee/ operate the above activities. Such lease or purchase will be limited to only the listed activities.

4: As part of the above: Music concerts, Native American Pow-Wows, Health fairs, Art and craft fairs and outdoor religious services by regional denominations will be periodically conducted on the property.

5: At present we are living in a motor home on the property, building a house and have built a new sweat lodge and putting in the gardens. We have also cleared a sinkhole on the property, which is a natural amphitheater. We have the camp sites clear and invite people to bring their tent and their ideas on saving Mother Earth. As more facilities become available this page will be updated.
