The Painted Attic opened in July 2011, borne of my love of antiquing,
and home & garden design. Here you will find an eclectic mix of
vintage and painted furniture, mirrors, interesting collectibles, art,
gift items, beautiful jewelry and vintage watches. I search flea
markets, swap meets, thrift shops and estate sales, both here in the
USA and in my homeland of England, looking for one of a kind items.
If I like something, then I buy it for the shop.

Most of the furniture is repainted by me, using the wonderful Annie
Sloan Chalk Paints and waxes. I am the area stockist so Annie Sloan's
products are available for sale here. If you are interested in painting
something you already own, we can give you advice and help you choose
from the 27 scrumptious colors currently in the Annie Sloan range. If you need
more help, we offer painting technique workshops which are a lot of
fun and will give you the knowledge you need to paint your furniture
yourself and make it look fabulous!

I have the pleasure of working with my daughter Kate, who is now
offering designer and vintage clothing at great prices. We have also
added a small "garden" area with indoor plants and orchids for sale and
Kate can make you a custom order arrangement in one of our
containers, or bring your own and we'll give you advice and a price estimate.
