Enjoy lifting weights?

If you enjoy lifting weights, consider joining the ULL Powerlifting Team. Powerlifting is a club sport that is offered to all full-time students.

Am I good enough?

No experience is required to join…just a desire to train hard and get stronger. In fact, some of our strongest lifters joined the team with minimal weight training experience. We can teach you!!

By training as a team, we all make better gains. Team members range from novice lifters who struggle with push-ups to All-American powerlifters who can bench press over 500-pounds.

Do I have enough time?

Most team members juggle powerlifting, a job, and a full load of classes. Fortunately, we have training routines that can fit virtually any schedule. Lifters are given custom training programs that fit their schedule. While most team members opt to train 4 times per week, many lifters make fantastic strength gains by training only twice per week. Training times are also flexible…there are morning, afternoon, and evening training crews.

How do I join?

Joining is as simple as contacting Coach Travis Werner. There is no formal introduction. Whenever you are ready to begin, you will start working out with current team members who will “show you the ropes”. It is a learn-as-you-go process that we have found to work best.
