Laura, Chris, and Justin left the hall they had been down and saw everyone
gathered near the hallway they were staying and rushed over there. Teri was
sitting on the floor crying while the others tried to comfort her.
Chris went up to Joey. “Has she told you anything yet?”
Joey shook his head. “No, she’s been crying since she got here. Besides, we
wanted to wait and hear her story once everyone was here.”
Laura rushed over to her friend and kneeled down in front of Teri. “What’s
wrong Teri? What happened down in the hall?”
Teri looked up with tears running down her face and shook her head, looking like
she wanted to forget the whole thing. Brian came up next to Laura. “Teri, we
have to know. Something scared you and we want to know, what was it?”
Teri slowly closed her eyes and softly said, “She’s dead....”
The others looked at each other weirdly. What was she talking about?
“The girl...sh..she’s dead,” Teri said again.
“What girl?” Emily asked softly.
Teri took a deep breath and started to explain, slowly and shakily. “When I went
down into that hall....I went really far down into it. I heard this little girl
giggling...then...she started crying out for help. I wanted to run but I
didn’t...then I saw this light under one of the door....I went and opened the
door....” Teri stopped, not wanting to continue.
“Go on...” Brian said.
Teri shuddered. “What I saw in there was the most horrible thing I ever
saw....this little girl lay on her bed...murdered......her blood was all over the
room...then her ghost came up and said I killed her and must pay...I ran and the
ghost chased me, then Brian and Nick found me” Teri stopped and started to cry
again.
Silence fell over the group. They couldn’t believe what they had just heard. Was
this place really haunted?
AJ broke the silence, “Are you sure you saw what you saw,” he said softly.
Teri looked up in disbelief. “Are you saying you don’t believe me?! I know what I
saw!!”
“I’m just saying, you came here with a real negative attitude, you could have
been imagining cause you were so scared...” AJ said, trying to sound reasonable.
“I saw it!!! Please believe me! I didn’t make it up! I know what I saw! Don’t any
of you believe me?” Teri cried out, looking around at everyone.
She got no response from anyone, they all avoided her eye contact.
“I don’t believe you guys! I thought you were my friends and trusted me.” She
shook her head and stood up. “I know what I saw, someone else will see
something too because this place is haunted. I didn’t make that up. I’m going
downstairs.” She started to leave but Brian grabbed her arm to prevent her,
“Please Teri, we want to believe you but it’s hard, you were the most negative
one.”
Teri tugged her arm away and tears started to fall again. She started to repeat
herself. “I know what I saw......”
