Deadly Knights

JC looked around where he was in utter amazement. One moment he had been standing with the others talking with Ms. Calhoun, the next moment, Ms. Calhoun had pointed at him and he had been put in a totally different place.

JC stared unsurely down the long hall he had been place in. Torches lined each side of the hall and knight’s armor had been placed along the wall to look like guards were watching the hall. They held long spears in their hands that glinted in the flickering like of the torches. JC stared at them cautiously, hoping they wouldn’t come alive and attack him.

He slowly started walking towards the end of the long hall and that’s when JC noticed that there were no doors in the whole room. Only bare walls stared back at him.

“Just great, I don’t wanna be stuck in this creepy place forever,” he muttered.

A slight creaking noise came from the right and JC whipped around to see what it was. Nothing looked different though. JC’s heart was pounding and his breath came out quickly, showing how scared he really was. JC continued to stare and that’s when he noticed all of the figures of the knights looked slightly different. Their spears were pointing more downward now, directly toward him.

JC gasped and backed up nervously into the center of the walkway. Nothing else changed and no more noise came.

“I must be dreaming,” JC said aloud, “must be cause I’m all alone and scared beyond no fucking end.”

A breeze blew through the hall and a low voice was heard, “You are not dreaming.”

JC’s eyes widened and he stood their in shock and that’s when he started running toward the end of the hall. He reached in the end, desperately searching for a door.

“Oh God, please! Let there be a door somewhere around here.” JC screamed out.

That’s when another noise came, much like the first one, this time, it was behind him though. JC froze in place and against his own will, slowly turned around. What he saw put him in even more fear then he was in at that point.

All of the knight’s armor was slightly moving with weird creaking noises. They all shifted and with slow movements, stepped off of the stands they were on. Their spears were pointed forward now and at the same time they all turned and faced JC. Blood started to seep out of the armor and run down the rest of it, soaking the floor beneath them.

Then, very slowly, they began walking, their feet landing with loud thuds on the ground, shaking the whole room. JC continued to stare at them in shock, not believing what was happening right in front of him. The knight’s spears were still pointed straight at him and continued coming closer and closer. The blood kept pouring from them, more heavily now.

A chanting noise arose from them all, saying, “You will die, you will die, you will die....”

JC began trying to think of something to get out of this situation but nothing was coming to him. The knight’s were almost upon him now, JC could have reached out and touched their spears. That’s when JC saw how tall they were and with a desperate attempt to survive, he leaped to the ground and started to crawl as fast as he could between their legs.

Some of the knight’s threw their spears at the wall where JC had just been while other’s desperately tried to find him beneath their feet. The blood coming from them dripped onto JC, soon soaking through his clothes and making him smell like it.

JC finally got through them and ran quickly to the other end. The knight’s let out a horrible cry for him having got away and hurried as fast as they could after him.

JC started screaming desperately for help, hoping that something would save him. JC then reached the other end and unfortunately for him, no door was there either.

JC whirled around and watched as the knight’s came creaking toward him, carrying their spears again. They seemed angry now and were coming on him faster then before.

JC sank to the ground and closed his eyes and tears slipped down his face as the reality of dying came to him. The noise of the knight’s were coming closer and in a last desperate attempt to save himself, JC yelled out in a determined voice, “You’re not real!!!”

A scream broke out that filled the room and the sound of metal clashing together and hitting the floor echoed off the walls. JC sat in absolute silence, too scared to look. The torches on the wall then went out and JC was left in total darkness.
