The Torture Chamber

AJ woke up with a start to find himself in total darkness. His head was pounding
and his back ached from where the blue shock had hit him. He picked himself up
slowly, trying to get his bearings.
“Now..where would I be now?” AJ muttered to himself.
A chilling feeling went through him suddenly, like he had just been put in a tub
filled with ice. AJ gasped and he realized he couldn’t breathe, it was like he was
being suffocated. He grabbed his throat, desperately trying to bring air back into
his lungs.
Just when he thought he was about to die, a release was felt and he breathed in
gulps of fresh air. AJ sat there for a second, thanking God that he was still alive.
He slowly stood up and tried to see, nothing was there though but black.
“Why did I just start choking?” he thought, “nothing grabbed me.”
AJ was quite freaked out now though and prayed that nothing else would
happen to him. He slowly started to walk forwards, hoping not to bump into
anything and wondering where he was. His shoes made no sound, making it feel
like he was walking on nothing but air.
Just then, a burning sensation went through AJ’s body. It started at his feet and
traveled through the rest of him quickly. He felt like he was in the middle of a
fire. AJ started screaming, pleading for it to stop. As quickly as it had started, it
stopped again.
“I want out now,” AJ screamed suddenly.
His voice echoed and was flung back to him. That’s when AJ realized he must be
in a large room. But why was he getting so many sensations of pain?
AJ was scared to move now but managed to get his legs going. He had barely
moved when he felt like a thousand knives had just been thrown into his body,
he fell to the ground in agony, screaming and feeling like he was bleeding all
over. The pain lasted to what was like hours to him until it finally stopped.
AJ felt over himself, not finding any blood anywhere. The darkness seemed to be
pressing in on him and it made him extremely nervous. He waited in anxiously
and in silence for something else to happen to him. Nothing came though but it
didn’t make the weird feeling in his stomach go away.
“What do you want from me?!” AJ yelled loudly. No reply but his own echo came
back again.
AJ let out a shaky sigh and stood up, walking forward again. That’s when the
pain came again. This time he felt like he was being choked, burned, and pierced
with knives all at the same time. The pain was unbearable and AJ couldn’t even
scream because no air was coming into him. He fell once again to the ground in
absolute agony.
That’s when bright lights flashed into his eyes, almost blinding him. AJ then
heard a booming voice say, “I hope you enjoyed your stay in the Torture
Chamber.”
The pain stopped and AJ picked himself up off the ground to find he was back in
the hall where the blue lightning had been. He whipped around and saw it was
now gone.
“What the hell?” he thought.
AJ didn’t wait around to see what else would happen to him though. He got up
and took off down the hall. Regretting the whole time that he had left the
others.
