The Hogwarts Castle Class 4-6-0
Above is the Hornby Hogwarts Castle Locomotive. I have included this engine on my Website as the real thing was based on a GWR Loco. The Real engine, originally called 'The Olton Hall' No. 5972, spent more than 15 years rusting in a railway graveyard. Built at the Great Western works in Swindon in April 1937, No. 5972 took passengers through the West Country in Wales, but was axed by British Rail in May 1964. It took 30 volunteers 16 years to restore her to her former glory, before movie executives from Warner Brothers found her.
