MIKRO BEACH IN PELION OR PILION IN GREECE

map of Pilion or Pelion Mikro Beach is located in the southeast of the Pelion peninsula, just south of the village of Platanias. The distance to the capital city of Volos is about 57 kilometers. From Mikro Beach you can follow a trail that runs over the mountains and along the coast thet leads to the nearby village of Platanias. The walk to the village takes about 20 minutes. During the summer there is also a water taxi service that runs between the two places.

The village Mikro is a small village that is situated in a beautiful bay. The large accompanying beach with its fine golden sand, tiny pebbles and turquoise water is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of the Pelion area. The beach is therefore popular with both foreign and Greek visitors. Yet it is not a beach destination for mass tourism and at Mikro beach you can still enjoy the peace and quiet that many people are looking for.
