Beaches nearby the Villa Pantazis in Crete

In the neighbourhood of the Villa Pantazis there are different beaches to choose from. Directly down the hill, on a few minutes drive away, is the start of Episkopi Beach, which stretches all the way to Georgioupolis (see pictures above). It is a sandy and wide beach that is 12 kilometers long. At the beginnig of the beach there is an opportunity for naturism, and then a few 100 meters further down the beach there is the first taverna with sunbeds and umbrellas. On the quiet part of Episkopi Beach you can sometimes see a special kind of bird that is looking for food. On the other side of the road you descend from (on your right hand side as you drive down - see pictures below) you will find several smaller beaches, of which the last one also has umbrellas and sunbeds.
