Epanochori is a small mountain village in the southwest of Crete on the Chania - Prases - Epanochori - Sougia / Paleochora route. It consistst of a few houses, two small churches and three taverna's, of which two also act as a mini-market for the most essential supplies. The area is green and good for making walks. It is dotted with small white villages in between te forests and there are many small Byzantine churches around with original fresco's. Closeby are the beaches of Sougia and several beaches in and around Paleochora.
