Here is a list of basic baits to start you off on your quest for carp.
( Boilies )
With the introduction of boilies for carp fishing
all the tried and trusted baits became secondary,
this was mainly due to the boilie being more selective,
also the boilie is ideal for
baiting up at range with the aid of a throwing stick.
Numerous companys make excellent boilies,
seed baits, protein baits and thanks to Premier Baits of kent
and the introduction of the Fish meal boilie which has accounted for thousands of specimen carp.
( PARTICLES )
Possibly the best particle for carp than any other is the Tiger Nut,
when using particles it is imperative that they are prepared properly,
nut baits need to be soaked for at least 24 hours then boiled for
30 minutes and left to ferment for several days, Tiger nuts give off a
syrup like consistency which carp love
( USE YOUR LOAF )
The good old loaf, bread is such a versatile bait it can be used as a floating bait, as a paste bait or flake, it also makes a brilliant ground bait.
Hemp seed this has fast become a favourite for the Carp angler,
mainly due to this little seed imitates snails and can cause a preoccupation
of the carp, fishing a boilie over the top of a bed of hemp, due to most fish liking hemp a little and often approach works very well.

the seeds start to split open.
