---Advisor---
Is a person who takes care of everyone...
they're adults.
They help out and well..."advise"
the youth group.

---Birkat Hamazon---
This is the blessing after the meal.
You get a sheet after the meal with the words
transliterated so you don't have to worry if you know it,
or Hebrew.
It's pretty catchy in any case.

---Candy-gram / Jenny-Gram / SEFTY-Gram---
They are purchased from the canteen and then handed out at conclaves.
They consist of a personal message to a new or old friend with some candy.
They are fun to give and get!

---Caravan---
Sometimes a TYG wants to have a program already written for them.
The regional board will come to the TYG
and run a program for them.

---Chadar O'chel(Dining area)---
That's where we get our "nutritional meals"
or CAMP FOOD!!!!

---Chofesh (Free time)---
On every conclave you have free time.
This is your time to chill, mingle, do homework,
work for canteen, go to canteen
or whatever.

---Kallah/ Convention/ Conclave---
Kallah's consist of programs, services,
song sessions, food, laughter, and friends.
Each Kallah has a theme.

---Mixers---
They are about an hour (give or take)
long during ALL conclaves.
The name explains itself... you meet with the other people
and you mix. It's always a lot of fun being
filled with cheesy name games, and some warped
activity... good stuff!

---Havdalah---
Although we didn't put all of the services
in the dictionary, it doesn't make them any
less important. Havdalah is a little different than
the regular service. It marks the end of
Shabbat. It's filled with joyous songs, prayers, quotes
and all. You got your wine, candles, and
spices... where can you go wrong? Definitely one
of the most special things we do at a conclave,
or any other event that goes through Sat.

---Installations---
Usually the second to last event during the course
of the year. This is when the old
NFTY-SAR and 4TY boards step down, and install the newly elected boards.
It's such a beautiful service and display of time and progression.

---Junior Youth Group---
This should be run by a youth group.
The youth groups Junior Youth Group is for younger kids.
This is to ensure members for the future.

---Kutz---
It's the UAHC leadership camp.
Many NFTYites attend this camp.
It's very pretty, and fun.

---NFTY-SAR---
NFTY's Southern Area Region...
(the following is to the tune of the Toys R Us song
I don't want to be east, I don't want to be west I want to be in SAR cause
I know it's the best Georgia, Carolina, Chattanooga, Alabama,
Tallahassee...It's the best darn region that there is (GEE WIZ)
I don't want to leave SAR ,cause If I did I'd have to be a NFTY-STR Kid
(G-d Forbid!!!)

---Programs---
You can basically have a program on anything that you want...and any place.
There are programs that take place in your youth group,
and also in the region. On conclaves there are four programs created by the chairs...they have to
do with the theme of the weekend...good stuff!

---Ruach (Spirit)---
Ruach is everywhere...
in song sessions, programs and individually.

---Shul-in (Lock-in)---
This is a sleep over at the temple.
It is ran by the temple where we are sleeping.
These are always quite fun because it gives
a chance for the TYG to show off their programming style.

---Song Sessions---
Song sessions are led by our very cool Songleaders.
Singing, laughing, clapping, stomping, dancing, sweating....
Song Session NFTY-SAR Style. It's a chance for the region to show off it's ruach with awesome songs filled with energy.
It's probably the most looked forward
thing on conclaves and shul-ins.
It's a chance to go wild.

---Tikkun Olam Beshem Adonoi---
Means Repairing the World in the name of G-D.
It's a program sponsored by NFTY to encourage TYG
programming and social action. A theme is chosen each year by the
NFTY board which becomes the basis for the programs.

---UAHC---
The Union of Association Hebrew Congregations
is the adult reform Jewish organization.
They provide us with funding, support, and facilities
for our events.

CAMP COLEMAN...CAMP COLEMAN...
Did you know...THE TEMPLE, Atlanta, GA
is the UAHC Synagogue with the largest number
of Coleman campers from a large congregation.
Please contact the camp Coleman office for info on the summer of 2002.
High School students from 4TY can be Campers,
Counselors in training,or go on the Camp Coleman NFTY in Israel trip.

Also, many past board members of 4TY
have attended Kutz Camp, which is NFTY's
Leadership training Academy in Warwick, NY.
