Nance is a Canadian Singer/Songwriter and Author of a newly penned book 'NANCE On Performing Live Online'. She moved from Ontario to the West Coast a few years ago and has since made her home in Victoria, BC with Jules, the love of her life. Nance is a self taught musician, has been playing acoustic guitar and singing since the age of 13.  She plays a 12 String Takamine and a 6 String Takamine, but her favourite is her 12 string. She doesn't use a guitar pick and says it wasn't until she threw away the pick that she got to know her guitar intimately and developed her own style of picking, which has intrigued many of her fellow musicians.  She started writing and performing her own material in 1990 and since then she has played live on radio, television, in clubs, put on her own concerts, enjoyed playing in folk clubs and now enjoys playing exclusively live to the internet. NANCE has been performing on the internet for an eternity in internet years, 2 years in human years and 14 in dog years.  Nance has always been a believer that you should always follow your own heart and with her music she has done just that. Her beautiful voice, unique guitar playing and passionate expression of her words has touched many a heart. She captivates audiences of all ages, her music is poetry in motion and simply makes audiences laugh, dance, ponder and yes even cry. Not only is NANCE a terrific singer, songwriter, live performer, she's also a watercolor and pen and ink artist. NANCEs Animal paintings and drawings include, a Basset Hound, Bull, Chipmunk, Dachshund, Mallard Ducks, Eagle, Geese, Raccoon, Robin, Baby Seal, English Spring Spaniel, Swan, Killer Whale. An Interview with NANCE Question:  Why do you always wear sunglasses when you sing? NANCE:  Well it adds a little to the mystery don't ya think? Besides, I'm cool, why not? It also protects my eyes from the bright light and computer screen Question:  Why did you choose Live Internet Performing? NANCE:  Shush! That's a big secret that no one is suppose to know. If I tell you then every music artist out there will be doing it. Question:  How old are you? NANCE:  That is the beauty of the internet, I can be as young or as old as you want me to be but like the real world, a lady never tells and you are really quite rude for asking Question:  Are you married or single, do guys and gals out there in internet land have a ghost of a chance? NANCE:  My fans know the answer to this, it's called The Love of My Life song.  It's fun to watch the guys and gals try but alas my heart is already taken. Besides my fans know the answer to this one too, it's called The Nethers song. Question:  Do you write a song for everything? NANCE:  Just about...I even wrote one about the kitchen sink! Question:  Are you Marsha Mellow, do you really jiggle like jello? NANCE:  Yeah! I love that song, it always makes me chuckle. Question:  But you didn't answer the question, are you Marsha Mellow? NANCE:  My fans know the answer to that, they also know who the person is I'm A Glutton for.
