Eriksson happy at duo's availability

Sven Goran Eriksson is delighted to have the option of picking Leeds
players Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate for England duty if he wants to.

Eriksson will name his squad on Monday for Saturday's friendly
against Euro 2000 semi-finalists Portugal.

The England manager agreed not to call on Bowyer and Woodgate for
this summer's World Cup following their well-documented off-field problems.

However, Eriksson has since been given the go-ahead to pick the duo
if he wants to, and it is a situation that pleases the former Lazio manager.

Eriksson said: "Now I am a free man. I can pick whoever I want. I was
not able to do it before because I agreed not to pick them because
there would have been a lot of confusion around the national team."
