I really don't talk about politics much, and I apologize for this breach...but this falls under funny. This whole thing is becoming a joke. At first, it was a close election and it was kind of cool--like a basketball game in triple overtime. Those rule. Now, though? It is just Al Gore whining. Whining is hideous. He doesn't want to lose--that is understandable. But how many times do you have to count to understand "YOU LOSE!!!"
Atrocious.
On to other things--I was in my 2 D design class yesterday. [It is required for photo majors] We FINALLY got to do stuff on the computer. I am pro-computer and anti-drawing. This should not be that much of a shock. Teachers are hilarious when they are trying to explain stuff. It would be horrible to be a teacher. There are some kids in class that already know what to do that are like, "This is boring, when do we get to do stuff? I already know this!!!" Then there are the kids that are like, "I don't get it, how do you type?" Somehow, the teacher has to find a balance. Generally, it isn't possible. The quick kids are sitting around rolling their eyes about the obviousness of what he is saying. (this is where you will find me) The slow kids just sit there blinking for awhile until they can express that hideous, "I don't get it. *blink*" <--That drives me insane.
I will break myself away from that rant..."The hideousness of teaching"...and continue on to the funny part of the class.
The teacher was making circles using Illustrator. Imagine two circles side by side--one of which has a dot in the middle. Now, if you don't immediately think of something else--I admire you. You would not fit into this class, though. There were several 19 yr old guys in my line of vision at this time. They were exchanging glances a bit, but overall--trying to behave maturely. This was ruined by the teacher's next comment about some type of graphics move that was not needed. "It is better if you don't stroke it."
He was saying not to stroke what appeared to be slightly abstracted breasts. I have never claimed to be a mature person. In fact, my little sister is convinced that she is more mature. She might be right. The result of said immaturity? This killed me. The look on all those guys faces was so hilarious.
Until next time...my advice is this: "Do not be stupid. You might end up here."
